Review Vishnuji Ki Rasoi - Nagpur

Pravin Pohankar
Nice buffe system for vegetarian.Taste of food is delicious.coperative staff..but no need to extra pay for puranpoli..huge place for four wheeler parking
Sharan Rao
Bafe system followed here. Maharashtran and Punjabi food available. Once you take a plate, you got to use that until the end. Counters are distributed which avoids crowd over one particular place, the crowd is split into multiple places by this idea. A lot of varieties of dishes are available to try. The lime juice with the mango pinch flavour was just an amazing drink, didn't expect it to be that good. There was also a simultaneous birthday party going on there.
Ankit Rastogi
The place has been made to serve authentic Marathi Thali with a rustic rural ambience as experience. The choice of accompaniments including the taste of chilly garlic cloves was amazing. Marathi section of food especially the crispy Kanda Pakoras and local berries was an excellent start. Followed by Chilla, Jowar Roti along with Egg plant in Besan , subsequently the entire Marathi gravy section with Kadhi, local Kofta and Khichdi was flavouring. Few dishes were not included in the special buffet pricing like ice cream and Puranpoli which ideally should have been with limited quantity at least even if cost needs to increase for the buffet. Cleanliness and hygiene of the place needs to improve. A lot of attention needs to be given on the toilets front, lot more to the ladies washroom, which was filthy as communicated by the family members. Further general hygiene needs to improve. Perhaps one reason for poor cleanliness could be that our large group was the last one to take entry and they allowed us to dine at 10 PM on pre information of our arrival.

We celebrated our Daughter's 6th birthday in Vishnu ki ki rasoi. Though as a bengali I didn't prefer maharastrian food but the punjabi food was also available there so i enjoyed the food. My guests r also very happy. It was huge place with kid play area. We got a sepearate room to celebrate birthday like cake cutting and dinner.

Awasome food 👌🏻👌🏻, atmosphere is very nice feeling like safe... And service in this place is to good👍👍

Good place to relax and eat. As a visitor to Nagpur ,it's a good mix of Maharashtrian food plus North Indian. So it balances all tastes.

Very well spend time with family with maharashtrian food at vishnu ji ki rasoi.. Good food and ambience
Deepali Lambe
Vishnuji ki rasoi is a famous restaurant in Nagpur. Here you will get maharashtrian food with few punjabi options. I personally liked the food starter, zunka, bhakri, thecha(Red & green) , kadhi khichadi, dal fry rice, gravy sabji, paneer subji ,naan, roti, etc with one sweet. Food is unlimited. Price per person is Rs.430/-. Parking facility is available on the main road. I went on weekday so as such no rush. It's quite clean snd hygienic. Good place for kids to play and roam around. Pls don't miss jal jeera and the end.

Very traditional experience! The food is excellent, especially the soup was delicious! There is a prepaid buffet system and but it only has traditional food. The food itself was fresh and served hot.

Like the place, food is good. But few items were out when reached around 9:00 pm. But it was tasty vegetarian food. Options for snacks and dessert should be increased. Both Marthi a d Punjabi food in menu. Ambiance is nice. Self service. Recommend for family.

Celebrated my baby's 1st birthday here. Very much satisfied with the ambiance and the food. Just Loved it.
Sagar Kirtane
Food is really delicious and you will get a vibes like you came to any maharashtrian wedding, family get together happening in one corner & friend meetings after longtime. Over all good experience and must try once.

Being a Bengali it was very difficult for me to even get into a pure-veg restaurant. But the food here was really good. More than that the ambience you get here with your family/friends is very joyful. We decided to go here for a happy evening for our upcoming event in our family. Most of the cuisine are in the pictures below. A lot is remaining. Enjoy your day at Vishnuji Ki Rasoi

It's quite nice. It's mainly for those who are curious about native rich Maharashtrian food, or the kids or youngsters from Maharashtra itself, who never got to taste wholesome Maharashtrian Thali. It's a Buffe system, designed by famous shef Mr. Vishnu Manohar, and you can get unlimited food inside once you pay specific amount. Its decorated as per theme of rural Maharashtra. But you'll also find some north Indian dishes like Paneer subji (which was very tasty), dal tadka etc to make it more inclusive. The infrastructure has got a bit old, and on crowdy day, it might get litte uncomfortable, but we didn't have any issue. Lots of small small items to taste, which we usually don't eat. We had nice, different experience. Visit if you are a group of young people, or if you have good appetite. Just cleaning service needs to be more attentive, and helpers need to be supportive. Its quite a big area, one needs help locate different items.
GS
420rs for Rajasthani & Marathi Buffet. Big playground with different stalls spreaded around the area. Good quality food & seating arrangements. Must Try - Tomato Soup, Jhunka Bhakar, Aloo bindhi, Patodi Rassa, Chutneys, Boiled bor etc. Note - Only issue is the owner attitude, not at all welcoming. Just show the board when asked for the menu!

I was treated with very delicious marawadi and marasthrian food❤️ this was super cool place to hangout with my squad🥰 will love to visit again and again 💓
Aniruddha Janbandhu
Very rude behaviour of the owners brother. he disrespect the customer and used abusive language. Although he was bad Infront of all the customer. I hope his brother will understand how to give the hospitality to the customer. Poor man.

Great place to go if you are a maharashtrian food lover.
Affordable prices and lot of variety .Nice ambience.
All varieties of Maharashtrian food available and punjabi food also is great to taste.Special mention to the starters - soup ,bhel and sabudana vada.Had a great time clicking pics with family ,Food was delicious and hot .Must visit .
Vani Kewalramani
Visited this place with family and it, has good ambience. The food is good but we have to walk a lot for all the dishes. There is a wide variety of spread to enjoy, The sweet dish counter is the best part.
Manisha Singh Parmar
I love plain good homely type of food here basically they serve Punjabi and Maharashtrian food. They have unlimited thali food is too good ambience is average. It is reasonable good for family gathering

Finally visited one of the most purest and amazing vegetarian place in nagpur , by one of the most famous chefs in india , that is our beloved vishnu ji , tried their lunch buffet and must say it was damn amazing , if you want to experience authentic Maharashtrian food , just visit this place for lunch or dinner , it’s amazing 😍
Ameya Vaidya
Must visit place.....!!!!
Swapnil Ingole
This place is very retro and authentic as the build like a village feel which is very authentic....For the price the food is very very good as you can have north indian and maharastrian food at one time for the same price..surely one should visit✌️
Caffeinated Soul
My all time favourite place for brunch, lunch, dinner. One of the best pure-veg buffet serving restaurant in Nagpur. I am visiting this place since I don't even remember. What 10+ year maybe. And all this days. It's taste awesome and same.
It serves maharashtrain and Punjabi cuisine. Both are excellent at there place. Right from welcome drink to dessert. With decent options. The ambiance is also good. But need proper maintenance and housekeeping. A must visit place for foodies out there. Highly recommended. A little heavy on pocket but worth spending it.
Taste:🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ambiance:🌟🌟🌟🌟
Service:🌟🌟🌟🌟
Pocket friendly:🌟🌟🌟🌟
Akshay Bhalerao
Out of the whole menu only tinde ki sabzi was good. Yeah TINDA was good, even the sweet felt like it was made at a street vendors shop. Utterly Disappointed. PBM was too much tangy, jhunka was tasteless, kadhi was literally bad, etc. Overall only 1 good thing out of 9 stuff.
Sumiet Jay
Everything is awesome at this place!
Only one request please change the menu Card on zomato, it say's 250 rupees for thali, but in real it is 370 rupees so, please correct the error.
Thank you!
Dr.Sonal Sanghi
Serves Maharashtrian and North Indian cuisine in buffet system. There is ample space with Maharashtrian village like set up.
The taste was average. Couldn't satisfy the cravings for conventionally cooked meals. Khichdi and Dal tadka was good.
The main thing lacking was cleanliness and proper management. Winter flies were all hanging over the food items as well as salads and pickles which were kept open.
There is a lot of scope for improvement. Cleanliness and hygiene should be maintained. Staff should be well trained. Food quality should also be improved.
Aditi Chouhan
Both Punjabi and Maharashtrian delicacies are good. Much affordable. The best part is the outdoor seating and the decor. The village like look makes us feel as if we're really in the countryside. As soon as the food goes in, appreciation comes out. Keep up the goodness forever.
Niharika Sachdeva
Visited this place for a small family ceremony. It was very crowded so can't say much about ambience. Food was okay, had some Punjabi options like paneer and dal makhni, some authentic options were also there but quite average, rotis were good, srikhand was pretty good. The starters like pakode and bhel were good. I would say a one time visit.
Roshan
We all known this place... Good place for family hangout... Awsome food... Please Improve more variety of foods and
Improve seating arrangements...
Rasika Joshi | @hungry_foodie5
This is an open restaurant with buffet system. Food is quite average. Starters vary from day to day, and are usually good. Main course is the same everyday. Two cuisines can be spotted, first is Maharashtrian second one is Punjabi. Maharashtrian one is the better one, the Punjabi section needs to be paid attention to. The makeover of the place is well done with traditional Maharashtrian props, but everything is poorly maintained. Honestly, a one time visit place.
Prateek
I visited this place with my group of friends, it was actually a amazing experience. This place served us great food by courteous staff.
Must visit place.
Shashi Shende
In this digital era they are not receiving the card-payment only need cash payment no Paytm no UPI nothing... and moreover everytime they come up with different different versions of the story... Really disappointed... If u have cash then visit or else leave it...
Naina Meattle
I had one of the best vegetarian maharashtrian thaalis at this place.
The bhaaths and the bhaajis were very good. The thaali is super economical.
The food is self service. Its good quality. And very tasty.
They have lots of different kinds of thecha as well.
Get the puran poli for sure!
A must must try place.
Pranay Pathak
Visited this place for my cousins baby shower function. I think no private hall is available but a private shed type of area is there. Art and decor is good according to the theme which is applied but lacks something which I tough missed. It’s a buffet type dinner and the counters are well decorated and the utensils and cutlery arranged also well. The food is good but not that great only North Indian was good and starters and desserts were vain. Just step in to wash basin area and hell.......😏 no attention at all. Found choked basins and leaked pipelines and what not. Needs a lots and lots of improvements according to the price charged. A one time visit with lots of parking space.
Siddharth Gupta
This restraunt is best for mahatastrian and Punjabi foods.it have buffet system . They have pakodas in starters . There is only one sweet dish that is gulabjamun🍰🍰🍪 then you have a varieties of mahatastrian food and Punjabi foods.love this place.
Kunal Arpal
I dont know why people of nagpur rated this restaurent 4 , this property doesnt deserve negative rating also.
Extremely rude staff, they treat you as if they are giving free food to everyone.
When i asked to give lemon , waiter replied have pickle you wont get lemon.

This is loot.

Please nagpurkar people grow up and rate restaurent like this properly.

Vaishnavi Vyas
It's an open restaurant. Very huge and mostly crowded. Known for the authentic taste of Maharashtrian and Punjabi cuisine, it's a good all vegetarian restaurant.
Ambiance is quite unique and has a great place for kids to play (with swings and roundabouts).
The utensils used are pure pleasure to see and catches the eye of every visitor. It's a buffet style restaurant basically.
I've been here on some specific occasions and always loved the theme and setup they do for those particular occasions/party. Like I was here on new year's eve last December. There was DJ, good food, chef himself(the owner of the restaurant) and so much exciting stuff to do.
It's a fun loaded place with soulful food I'd say.
Absolutely love the idea of what open restaurants should be like.
Food too is super Delish here. With more than 100+ varieties of options to choose from. They have almost all the delicacies ranging from Chinese to Indian snacks, Maharashtrian food to proper north Indian food. And the desserts too are delightful. A perfect value for money place.
All in all, it's always been a 5/5 experience for me here.
Atharva Chintawar
Its a open restaurant!!
Pure indian cuisine restaurant!
Maharastrian and Punjabi cuisine!!
Authentic Maharashtrian taste!!
Place for kids to play!!
Anmol Bhambhani
Maharashtrian thaali and stuff is pretty good and authentic!
Tastes delicious!

But the staff needs to be trained a lot more!
They can't handle the crowd in peak hours and crack easily under pressure!

The newly renovated open air space is really good for friends to hangout and enjoy!😊
Vrushabh Rode
Very poor experience at vishnuji ki rasoi
Service is very poor, staff just can not keep up with the pace of peak hours
Very average food in taste
Paneer was bad with bad tangy gravy
All mharashtrian food are not on menu or separately chargeable
Soup was average

Rasika Wade
This place is best for some relaxation with your family ..the place is spacious and nice ..the food have a lot of variety and have match for every age group ..vishnujiki rasoyi is a must visit
Tushar Katre
So finally I visited Vishnuji ki Rasoi for second time after a huge gap of around 9 years. Quite changes visible there but taste is authentic. This time I felt it somewhat expensive as compared to what they deliver. I think, they should upgrade their menu in terms of number of items which suits for 350 bucks and they should also introduce dessert options....food Is really nice and authentic .....
Aayushree Dhamne
Good food served as a buffet.
Here, they offer maharashtrian cuisine.
The menu is same except the desert/sweet dish. Easily affordable. The open verandah type space and the sitting arrangement is spacious & comfortable.
Shilpa Gajghate
Only two starter not accepteble😐. No variety in Main course curry( Sabji's taste almost same) and rice also one type. Only one sweet that too given with plate . No of variety Food offered is not worth for 350. We came here for variety of food not for quantity. Sitting tables are not comfortable .
Nitha Fredy
The food was good. Authentic Maharashtrian and Punjabi food. The Ambience was lovely and the staff was very helpful. Loved the overall setup.
Dhananjay Wankhede
Tried lunch Thali in this month (Aug 2018) .150 Rs isn't worth at the outset.Rice quality wasn't good as we can get in other thali of Nagpur( Luch Thali at Gaytri,Sree ji).Vegetables also don't have that authentic Maharshtrian Taste.Ambience is good but it should complement with taste also.
Kaushalkishor Avadhesh Pandey
Best place for family food party.vishnu ji ki rasoi serves best quality food .Best vegetarian restaurant in nagpur . I hope vishnu ji ki rasoi will always serve best
Samaksh Patne
Awesome Place For Maharashtrian & Punjabi Foodies..... And Service Is Very Good , Also The Thali Is Unlimited Here Including Sweet !!!!!

You Must Visit This Place....👌👌👌👌😋😋😋
Atharva Kulkarni
So disappointed!...the one in Pune is so much better than the one in Nagpur. The restaurant in Nagpur being the original one, we expected Better quality and variety but our hopes were crushed when we had food here. Even the bhaji in the starter menu was soggy and sour and too oily. To top that..very "excellent" service(sarcasm intented!)...had to ask for water thrice!..overall too dissatisfied and probably won't even visit the Pune ok outlet too.
Mayank Gomekar
Visited this chain of restaurant earlier at Pune , but my visit in nagpur was totally disappointing . Nothing tasted great , the bhajis here were sour and too oily . Dhensa bhaji was not up to the mark . The service also poor , had to ask for water thrice . Overall a very bad experience wouldn't recommend to anyone . I'll maybe not even visit the Pune outlet ever again
Dr.SaM
This is buffet style restaurant, mainly serving Maharashtrian n Punjabi food, bt specially for Maharashtrian food, they literally have no variety, they have confined Maharashtrian food to just vangi, dalbhaji, ( both of which were literally sweet), bhakar, roti, with no taste! Soup too was nt up to the mark. Kindly add some good Maharashtrian dishes to your menu.
Sanjeevani Mahajan
Amazing maharashtrian food served in buffet style. The ambience of this restaurant is like a village and you can really enjoy with your complete family. They even host parties.
Minal Ghule
Ultimate destination for Maharashtrian Thali Restaurant.Decent variety of Maharashtrian dishes are available here. Its a good one time visit.
Sujish Kandampully
This is not a restaurant type but instead an open space with dining available. Three different categories of food sections are available viz. maharashtrian, punjabi and one more which I can't remember. Yes, the food is definitely delicious one. The open space available is too big. A separate section of starters is also available where you get berries and tomato soup to warm up your tummy before the main course begins. Pricing is moderate+ . Great ambience and a little noisy environment. It's a buffet pattern, so self service please.
Pranita Kaware
Good ambience, we can easily book for family get together and sone functions. Taste is good. Service can be better. "Pan" section was not up to the mark we have to make our own and nobody was there so crowd gather at time so mess was there. Other stuffs were good. Must visit once to full your stomach with delicious food.
Shreyash Humane
This place if insanely good, the food & the open ambiance is too good. The only thing that I don’t like about this place is that they have food inspired from only 2 cultures ie: Punjabi & Maharashtrian. But all in all this is a very good family restaurant which provides quality buffet food.
PS. They serve only veg food.
ANKITA KOKODE
maharastrian thali is the main food here that you get also punjabi dishes are been there . they are also serve vairities of testy chatnies .. overall good place .. village theme is the second attraction of the place.☺️
Moody And White
Village themed restaurant with limited simple cuisine options but compensates that with its taste! I really loved the masala baigan (vaang), dal fry, mixed veg, dharda (rice flour crepe), red and green thecha, pooran poli.. One can visit it with family as it will really appeal to the older generation and children!
Sadaf Khan
Good place for thali options. Maharashtrian food is usp here. Place is good and offers good options in dining. Other options are good as well worth trying.
The Fooodies Diary
Thali system service at its best authentic Maharashtrian dishes and also other Indian cuisine changing everyday . A good place to hangout with family and spend a quality tym.
Taste 4/5
Ambience 3.5/5
Service 4/5
Price 3.5/5
Nagesh Prabhu Chinivartha
Definitely, a must go if you are looking for something typically Marathi. The entire restaurant has ample seating area with small children play area.
The food is served as a buffet ensuring that the food is not wasted, and I did not mind as the servers were always serving with a smile.
Their puran poli is to die for and reminded me of my mom's cooking. Overall a must dine restaurant.
Madhura Pathak
Dear Vishnuji....cannot believe what u have done to my favourite Marathi cuisen. EVEN bringal sabji was not edible...How can u spoil a simple dish like dalbhaji? .Even a village woman can do better than this. Roadside zunka bhakar Kendra is better than this.who gives sabudana wada as starter?Seriously Marathi cuisen has a lot more and better to offer than this.
Kartik Saboo
It's a restaurant which is themed like dhaba-cum-bhojnalaya with some open garden spaces and interesting props. Heck, let's come to the food. It's wholesome and delightful! With so much variety in store, most of which is near-perfect, don't give this place a miss as it is a complete Maharashtrian buffet. Also, an ideal place to have mid-sized family kinda events.
Arya Sondoule
Nice ambiance......, Good food...., Definitely don't miss it if u love the essence of everything India, the films, the culture, the villages ,the Colors....
NIKHIL DHAWAD
At first I loved the place, but later when you spend some time trying to explore the place you will find the service to be lethargic.
The village like ambience that they have created needs a lot of energy to keep up with the rustic/raw vibe.

The food was good. Most of the dishes were being prepared in their authentic style- from Bhakri to Puranpodi

What I relished the most was their Dal Tadka. I regret to have tried it over to the end. I suggest you start your meal with Dal and Pulav :D

Would rate them 9/10 for Food and 5/10 for service
Dr. Aryann K
a highway dhaba kind of a place ..
dining area is crampy n mediocre ..
It should be aesthetic n elegant ... it will add charm to their theme ..
buffet menu type self service restaurant with a fixed menu ... similar to what many people eat at their home on a regular basis ..
their sabjis , dals , jhunka bhakar n puranpolis n mawa ki roti all are good if not superb ...
prices are very much reasonable...
went with a huge grp to celebrate an event ...
had good time ..
should definitely visit but with company ...

Gauresh Bakane
Very very expensive !!! Absolutely not worth money.
250rs. Per plate and 50 Rs extra for any sweet dish. Even after 300rs per plate, there is no confirm seat for you to seat.
Should look for better option
Aditya Pathak
Its an array of well thought Maharashtrian delicacies with a few north Indian classics. It was drizzling from the sky when i had an opportunity of sipping the soul warming view with some sizzling hot starters at this one of its kind place. Service steals the show in this spread with the renowned Chef looking over it himself most of the times. Value for money if getting a bunch of friends with you , on a spice craving Sunday.
FoOdiot
The best assal marathi food you can get in town is this place... 😍😍😍
Serve delicious maharashtraian food with a bit spicy flavour... 😍😍
Perfect place to have food with family with great buffet service and yes thali is must try with unlimited foods.. Which have special menu daily
😜 😍😍 perfect 10/10 place
Kshitij Dev
Visit here just once in life not twice. Strictly for veg peoples with #ohh vao!!! Attitude.. don't visit on Sunday its very crowded and ur 300 will not even have worth of 150. Also 50 extra for a small puran poli.. very disappointing.. and yes u will need bicycle to go to stalls with very cheap food items with a long wait. especially typical maharashtrian.. again no proper sitting arrangement.. i have to eat on standing table.. rather go at haldirams thaat baat and eat peacefully with quality food at low price.
Kaustubha Devi
Best food joint in Nagpur feels like home with great taste and ambiance so fresh and full of energy lovely spots to take photos and selfi great service and food and very polite loving caring staff !!
Chhavi Shejwalkar
Vishnuji Ki Rasoi is a restaurant away from the city yet in the city. Bordered by thick trees, it welcomes you with the aroma of food and fresh air altogether. As you enter the place, one can see a dedicated area for the swings and sets, one for the starters and welcome drink and one for the main course. You get the dessert with your coupon for the main course. Now coming to the food, the main course was divided into Punjabi and Maharashtrian cuisine. The Punjabi one had the basic items- Jeera Rice, Dal Tadka, Paneer Lachha, Aloo Bhindi ki Sabzi and your choice of breads; quite a interesting taste. The Maharashtrain one had Zhunka to Kadhi Khichdi; must try the Zhunka-the flavours of onion literally came through. The highlight was the welcome drink of Aam Panna. I was a little disappointed when I found out that they just had one starter in the menu! Feel that maybe adding another would balance the whole menu more.
It's a beautiful place to enjoy an evening with food and a little escapism!
Umang
Located besides Vasvi lawns in Bajaj nagar is worth visiting once but is not the worth of money paid. Comparative to its type of restaurant(buffet)... It limits the quantity of dessert served in spite of such hefty fee. Coming to food served, the starters are limited to two. Only consists of Punjabi and maharashtra food that too without desserts. The chutneys here are definitely try type especially fried lasun (garlic). It's a one time visit resto as it didn't fascinated much
Barsha Rai
The name itself is the first thing that attracts u... Then u enter and the lifesize statue welcomes u... Everything about the place is a thumbs up... The sabudana pakoda, the shengdana chutney, various pickles... The Marathi cuisine has been done full justice... Even the Punjabi cuisine is good...I ate so much that I could eat no more... Simple, heartwarming, delicious and spicy food as my taste buds prefer...😃 very good place for vegetarians and a must go....
Pankaj Kissan
With brother, parents and me spread out in three different states, Vishnuji ki Rasoyi was the perfect dining place to relax after a long long time. The open space dining with its tasty Maharashtrian cuisine was host to a lot of group outings that evening. Was happy to find a range of "thechas" to feast on. The humble fannas bhaji (jackfruit) and cheela made me remember vegetables I badly miss back here in Vadodara!
Vaibhav Kursange
Best place in Nagpur for Family, this place is having buffet systems. They serve you delicious Maharashtraian and Punjabi Food Unlimited.
Price is very minimal as compared to quality and variety they serve you.
Taste is perfect. Must visit with your whole family for quality time.
Dr. Kartik SN Patil & Dr. PPPD
Taste: Assal Maharashtrian Jevan! Mainly Varhadi cuisine is celebrated here with pride.. after eating here you feel proud of being a Maharashtrian..Saw my dad smiling first time after coming back home..jhunka,bhakar,puranpoli,masala vange, kadhi, parodied, bharit, masala bhat, khichdi, ani itkya sarya chutneys,jilebi.. I fell in love with this place the first time I went with parents..never liked all this food before, but this place changed my view..
Service: Buffet
Ambience: outdoor village setting, comes to life with all the lights at night, and vishnuji himself is present most of the time.. adding to the charm..
Value for money: worth every penny u give..10/10..
Shalaka
This place is ideal for family outings. It has buffet system; serving maharastrian and punjabi cuisines. The food is delicious. The ambience is amazing too.
Meenal Gupte
Oh boy.... please avoid eating for an entire day so that you can savour everything they have to offer.
Really good food!
Liked the setup, which is unique about the place.
Rohit Upadhyay
Good ambiance, nice food, seats are not comfortable, wash room is not properly maintained, the staff is not have hospitality quality. They should learn how to speak.
Saagar Jain
Overall a good place to hangout... needs a bit more good ambience and music. Serves good maharashtrian food and Jhunka just melts in your mouth
Saagar
Well....ambience is not upto the mark but the food tastes delicious specially maharashtrian food. Jhunka just melts in ur mouth. Overall a good place to hangout.
Sagar Talegaonkar
The Restaurant is owned by Nagpur's very own Celebrity Chef Vishnu Manohar!
It serves Maharashtrian and Punjabi dishes.
It has a Buffet style serving system.
You can take whatever you like and skip whatever you don't.
The food was just awesome!
Loved it to the core!
Dr Dhruv Batra
Dining out is all about great food and a wonderful unforgettable and an unique experience, and VJ ki Rasoi offers exactly cent percent.
Completely remaking like a movie set, the rural maharashtrian picture,it sends you into another world and offers a distinct rich culinary experience, which am sad to say very few places offer.
In the age of malls and pubs, aping the west shamelessly,it offers a fresh view into the ethnic and rich culinary heritage of our country and the so called earthly experience.
Food in this setup tastes perfect and up to the mark.
Do Try the pooran poli.
And please do attempt to squeeze the sugarcane juice manually as they still do in our villages.
At 300 rs per person, its really worth it for a great family evening.
Happy Dining.
Neha Hood
Amazing place to hog on the typical Marathi and a little Punjabi cuisine. From chutnis to Puran Poli and Bhajis to boiled spicy Bor. Very affordable.
Kaushal Deshmukh
Nice place to be.. come and enjoy with family... Little bit oily but manageable once in a while. Puran Poli is must try though its not included in the package, one need to buy it additionally. Overall a very good experience.
Ishwar Gaikwad
So this Vishnuji ki rasoi i know because it was in Pune and they have outlet here in Nagpur. GOOD AMBIENCE, food was also Good.People over there are Nice and Attentive.
Manisha Vijayakumar
If Authentic Maharashtrian food is what one is looking for then this is the place for it. If your at Nagpur, then this place is definetly a must try. I loved the ambience, and the whole Marathi food spread. There are so many dishes that are so good and they are just too many to list down.
Ajinkya Dhote
This is a good place for a big group party... The ambience is good... The food is good but don't keep your expectations high...i found it once in a year place nd i would prefer many other places to try a buffet or a thali system...
Gulshan Budhwani
Finally, had the chance to go The Legendary Vishnuji Ki Rasoi. Its a buffet style restaurant costing 320 bucks per plate.

AMBIENCE: This place with village setting has lots of things which will catch your fancy, like the tulsi plant at the entrance, bullocks and villager artifacts, dhaba style food pendals.

FOOD: I have to admit that food was very delicious. From Dalbhaji, Patodi, Bharta and Kadi in Maharashtrian cuisine to PBM, Alu Bhindi, Dal Chawal in Punjabi, each one had its distinct flavour and taste. Special mention for the number of powdered chutneys, thechas and pickles. Moong Halwa in sweet was yummy. But one dish which will sweep you off you feet is the melt-in-your-mouth PURAN POLI, arguably the best one i have had in my life. It was so soft and flavory, will leave you completely mesmerized. Sweet N Tangy bers, sabudana bhajji and soup served as a great appetizers.
Overall, it was a very cheerful experience.
Bongfoodie_panda
As far as I remember this was the first place in Nagpur serving authentic Maharashtrian food. Being a non-maharashtrian who has been brought up in Maharashtra around Maharashtrians I have always love Maharashtrian culture and food. So on my parents' anniversary we decided to go to Vishnuji ki Rasoi (on spl suggestion by my father's friend Mr. Prashant Manohar).

I moment I entered this place I loved the ambience. it was a garden restaurant and I had always wanted to go to a garden restro. We did not know that the place had self-service but the staff was kind enuf to help us with it.

Now the most important thing, the food

The aam panna in welcome drink was a great relief from the hot and humid weather of June.

The bhajiyas, puran polis and bhakris are all made right in front of u. Hence u get fresh, garma garam healthy food. Since our sole purpose was having Maharashtrian food we did not go to the Punjabi food counters (Sorry for that Vishnuji).
Since then every time I want to have Maharashtrian food I visit this place
The place is suitable for holding small family gatherings or kitty parties. However if wish to do so please contact the venue before hand.

All in all this is the best place if you are looking for feasting on Maharashtrian food peacefully.

NOTE: I was so busy devouring the jhunka-bhakar and puran polis that I forgot to take pictures this time)

Oh what an experience it was!!! Went to taste the maharashtrian food here.. the entrance is quite elegant... there are very tiny but noticeable things which are quite related to "wada" Sanskriti in Maharashtra (like old cupboard , the wash basins ) great concept to make a theme..
Food is unlimited and very authentic in taste .. we even got a surprise dishes due to some festival on that day.. most importantly you get variety of chutneys to try with ur food and that really makes the food experience special..
Price wise you wouldn't feel that you have had enough to what you pay .. but chef Vishnu manohar is a celebrity chef so some branding value is included in the overall price of the place as well!!.. worth a try though

Went here for a friend's party and loved it so much, that I had to make a few trips since. The food is lip smacking, typical Maharashtrian cuisine, a total heaven for our local taste buds. All your pithla bhakri and bharit vange dreams come true here.
Completely reasonable, very clean and hygienic and charming interiors. Almost like a village fair, with good food and family time. An all time favorite :)

Looking for a calm outing with family? Add to that a traditional Marathi or Punjabi cuisine in a totally natural ambience (an open lawn), then you get Vishnuji ki rasoi. This is like a buffet place with a fixed conventional Maharashtrian menu like jhunka bhakri, puran poli, etc. and a little bit of other dishes like Paneer, tandoori roti etc. Not really a fan of eating homely food if I am actually stepping outside, for something different in the first place, but definitely a good place if you like Maharashtrian cuisine. (or if you wish to make your parents happy)

VKR is a terrific place to hangout after a long day at work. If one is attracted to the rustic charm of traditional Indian food, this is the place. The entry which is very reasonable offers both Maharashtrian and Punjabi food. Served in a buffet style one can start with starters like Pakoras/batata wada/apples, there is a soup or panha depending on the season. The salad and chutney counter have a variety of chutneys fresh salad and many a time fried garlic cloves drizzled with spices. The menu essentially is divided into Maharashtrian and Punjabi where one can try both. The khichadi and kadhi is fabulous. The traditional Maharashtrian 'dhirda', a type of a pancake is my favourite. The owners are very congenial and keep feedback from customers. Of course Mr Vishnu Manohar, one of the brothers is a celebrity chef and actor helps in creative concepts in menu and ambience. Mr Pravin and Praful Manohar look into all aspects and give it a personal touch.

Um..the concept is different viz. really good and most of my points go for that✔ The whole restaurant is set up on a village theme🐃 Ambience was great and truly jovial. But, I would strongly recommend it for ❇only❇ those people who are into 🔹"Maharashtrian cuisine"🔹There are loads of options in the maharashtrian food section and the food is tasty. But, sadly it wasn't what I expected😓
ABOUT THE FOOD:
Good things:
Starters: i spent the whole time eating pakodas(bhajiyas) and aam pana😋Both were real good.
Dessert: malpua;loved them😍 Got few for on the way back home too😜
Not so good things:
Main course: we were sadly disappointed😖 because none of us are into maharashtrian cuisine. 🎃All of us ended up eating butter naan and paneer butter masala for the whole buffet money per head. We could've had it anywhere at half the price❕
Dessert: no ice cream even in this hot weather❕
Only go if you 'like' or 'want to have' aUtHeNtiC "MaHaRaShtRiAn FoOd". They make that pretty good👏 better than most of the places, I've eaten. Wonderful "thesa" for all those mirchi lovers out there and loads of quintessential Maharashtrian dry chutneys. The spice&chutney counter was done up real nice🌞 The attending were really sweet. I'd give 5🌟 for them. Attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, sweet and resourceful! Loved them😘 all in all, not a great experience food-wise. But because of the the ambience & people it was fun✌

Successful summer vacations...
Restaurant That Feels Like Home is again only one Vishnuji ki rasoi in nagpur.... Its an awesome experience in Nagpur restaurant typical saouji test spicy and yummy....
All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food. The chefs take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. The restaurant caters for authentic Maharashtrian and punjabi taste by providing a snacks and soups also which are yummy and worth sampling. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. I had the moong pakora accompanied by a sweet tamarind chutney , while my hubby tried the tomato soup. They were exquisite.

Our family dinner at Vishnuji ki Rasoi..................

The most trendy and authentic dinner enjoyed by all our family members. The warm and pleasant ambience in open garden gave so many happy and cheerful moments to all of us.

Both Maharashtrian and Punjabi food were very delicious & authentic it reminded me taste of 'my aaaji' The Patodi Rassa, variety of rotis, Zhunka Bhakar so mouth watering no doubt as expected from our famous and well know Super Chef Vishnuji and Vishnuji ki Rasoi.

It has been a very memorable experience specially for a foody family like mine we all enjoyed and would love to be there to celebrate our happy moments again and again.......

A simple, traditional, orthodox marathi food place which has a buffet. This is very popular among the families of the city.

Open kitchen, hot food, this place gets over crowded on weekends. You have to spend a lot of time in the queue to get rotis and other veggies. It has a huge place for seating but despite that you won't get any during the popular dinner hours.

A lot of parties also happen here, as they have a stage and the related setup, in a different section. Food is decent, very homely. No presentation, nothing lavish, regular stuff.

I've been here quite a couple of times. It's good place to throw a small scale party. Good variety of food and ambience. A Maharashtrian touch to it. You can play around and utilise the area. They even put small bone fires in winters.

This place is a must visit with family if you are a real foodie..their menu has a lot of tasty items and they keep changing each day..here they have kind of a buffet arrangement where you have to go and serve yourself..also if you ask the waiters to serve they will..their small wadas and soup are a bang on adding to it they prepare hot fulkas amd bhakris in front of you with ghee on it..a best place for kitty parties and completelt reasonable..theres lot to write but then really once u start writing i bet u get hungry again.
Theres only 1 word to say
VISHNU JI KI RASOI ROCKSS.
3 CHEERS FOR VISHNU JI KI RASOI
HIP HIP HURRAY...HIP HIP HURRAY..
Will keep coming again and again...
What a marvellous idea!
Reminds me so thoroughly of a place called Chokhi Dhani at Jaipur ( I believe there are Chokhi Dhanis now at Mumbai, Pune, Surat and Chennai as well). C D is about traditional Rajasthani village fair, food and culture.
Vishnuji Ki Rasoi is such a beautifully thought of and created venture that it needs to be nurtured & helped to grow & flourish as well as spread to other parts of the State and country.
Totally authentic food & such a lovely ambience. At fairly affordable rates too.
Full marks! May your tribe increase.

Vishnuji ki rasoi as we all know has become one of the most popular dhaba cum restaurant in Nagpur. I mean seriously they provide you with such a grand feast and at this price. Always loved the panneer and maharashtrian jhunka. They should not charge extra for puran polis.

Finally I visited Vishnuji Ki Rasoi for dinner with my friends today(16th April,2016) after a long long wait. This place is very popular in Nagpur and it almost lived up to my expectations.

They have a fixed rate system with unlimited food. We paid Rs.300 per head, rates are bit higher on weekends.
The food included Starters, Maharashtrian and Punjabi dishes in main course. Starters included Tomato soup(with Maharashtrian touch), sabudana wada and chutney. We had plenty of Maharashtrian dishes in main course like jhunka Bhakar, dal bhaji, gola bhat, thalipith. Punjabi dishes were limited which included PBM, Veg Kofta, jeera rice and dal fry.
Both Maharashtrian and Punjabi dishes were average with taste, nothing exceptional.
Ambience is very nice with nice open space.

So overall, Vishnuji ki Rasoi is a good option for Maharashtrian food lovers.
