Not definitely a orthodox family hangout spot. This is meant for modern family style with a bar at one end and restaurant at the opposite side. Taste was absolutely awesome for all the dishes served but it took hell lot of time to get them served. That's why it's not meant for family crowd. Bachelors, couple and modern family will surely like this.

A new place in the city for good food with a very unconventional design. The hotel is designed to give you a ship like feeling, the entry and the interior is designed like a ship. Food is good, service is good (unless there's huge rush). Also they serve cocktails. Good place for family, couples, plays music in the background.

Portogomez is also known as Cruise Ship Restaurant. Loved the Ambience. Each dish we ordered was authentic and the portion were generous.We ordered Piri Piri Spicy Prawns, Crispy Chicken Wings and Tequila sunrise. Prawns were so freshly made and yumm at the same time. The staff was humble and attentive. Service is upto the mark. Would love to visit again♥

This place is themed on a ship and which is really cool . Interior is really great a totally a new and different experience . Drinks are great and the food is awesome , little slow in service but then the food and drinks compensate for it :p

We loved the prawns here. The quantity of prawns was adequate but the taste was heavenly. We had rajbhog chicken and some bahddu chicken. The chicken along with it's special gravy was wrapped in egg and had a perfect blend. But the quantity of chicken according was really low in both of the chicken dishes. The paneer we had tasted good and was soft. The service was really late and the staff seemed less bothering. They have a great bar menu. Sea food is amazing collectively. Thanks for the food ❤️

Service not up to the mark. Waiter/manager did not even have a basic idea about the menu. There was excessive AC due to which the food didn't remain hot for long. Asked the staff to increase the temp couple of times but no difference. The manager convinced almost each table to go for one particular starter - paneer sake (which was "coincidentally" the most expensive starter in the list)! Ambience is good.

Had ordered chicken biryani and prawns We reminded and reconfirmed two times whether it was chicken biryani and prawns before taking the parcel home which we got after waiting for an hour. They gave us egg biryani- that too pathetically dry biryani with no taste and one egg cut in half. No chicken pieces at all.

Yesterday afternoon I called Mr. Gomez to request for separate arrangement for pure vegetarian food (since we prefer only Vegetarian food) and also informed him that it's our wedding anniversary. As we entered the restaurant, we were welcomed by the Manager and other staff and guided to the reserved table. To our great surprise, they had decorated the area very beautifully. The food was awesome and so was the delivery and courtesy of the staff. My sincere thanks to everyone at Port O Gomez for making our evening a very special one ! Having heard about this restaurant being famous for sea food.. I was really looking forward to taste from this place.. I had ordered Prawns pulao and veg biryani.. And to my disappointment the food was really bad... The prawns pulao had just one prawn and i dont even know what were the other few pieces lying in the pulao.. And to add on it was so damn spicy that i literally was weeping throughout the few bites which i could gulp.. Feeling cheated and highly disappointed to pay 340 rs for a pulao of this taste and quality!!! Coming to veg biryani.. It was ok but high on salt.. Overall really disappointed after anticipating so much from a place.. I feel my Rs. 605/- was a complete waste, spoilt my weekend and stomach ache with the amount of chillies added ..!! Hope the chef learns to cook ..!!

Port O Gomez gives you less than what it promises , Concept is nice , ambience is good , seen some people getting nostalgic about there GOA trips while sitting at restaurant , so the cruiser ship concept is unique , full marks for that but when u hear Port O Gomez what comes to our mind is good sea food , goanese style cooking and thats where u wake up from your dream that you are not in goa , u r in nagpur , crabs , big lobsters not available , combo platters , sizzlers , starters , main course all were average , dont have much to write about service as it was average , restaurant is much less crowded than what we anticipated , hotel marketing with hoardings is good but the taste and quality of food which fetches customers again and again to return to your restaurant ... Nonveg sizzler means nonveg sizzler , dont make it potato sizzler , if u want to experience some unique ambience , you can sail in your ship atleast once in Port O Gomez for sure ....

It’s a total different concept and I loved it. The outside of the restaurant is like a cruise but the inside is more like it. So we ordered chicken skewers which were absolutely delicious and I ate most of it (wink). We also got the seekh kebabs and malai tikka(I’m a tandoori food fan). Which were both tender and juicy. The mint chutney is to die for. I got myself a mint mojito which was just the way it had to be. The service was excellent too.

We were four people there for a dinner on 28 of July 2018..it was not a good experience. Staff was not attentive. For start, we waited for 15 to 20 minutes to get a person for placing our orders. The person(don't remember the name) taking the order wasn't even interested in our queries about the food. Food quality was okayiesh. Paneer tikka was good. (Pic attached) All in all it was an average experience.
