Shanti bhavan , one of the oldest and famous breakfast places in Nagpur.
This place really has some yummy breakfast options ๐
Like from Samosas to dosas , everything is so good . The taste of all items is good.
I personally like - Sambar Samosa , chole samosa , masala dosa and coffee .
The place has a decent old time seating, with decent ambiance.
Ill recommend all youngsters to visit this place once ๐
It's the best authentic south indian restaurant in the city. Plus they have done new renovation in lockdown period and it's so lit. The taste is delicious as always. Polite staff, Kind owner. They have changed their packing too which is too good. This restaurant is not like other south indian restaurants in Gokulpeth where there's degraded taste over the years and highly over priced. Highly recommend Shree Shanti Bhavan. It's the best. โค๏ธ
One of the best and old South Indian food joint in Nagpur, their seating arrangements are very simple and no fancy decorations. But they served best food..I have tried masala dosa that was finger licking and filter coffee was so delicious ๐
Tried samosa they served with sambar and buttermilk, that one is so crispy and yummy. What I like most about this place itโs very economical and very simple delicious food which I am looking for it. They have good snacks menu..highly recommended ๐๐
Thank you so much for serving great food.
This is the sure shot destination whenever I went to Panchsheel Cinema for movies. I always been here to eat something. It's a cozy place but very good food. Samosas for sure in the interval of the movie. Tried Dishesh like Sambar Wada, Dosas, Samosas, ColdDrinks, Lassi, Chai, Coffee and many more. Liked it!!
Pocket friendly outlet with fast service and good taste. Best to satisfy your hunger pangs when you are just HUNGRY in the midst of a busy day full of outings, shoppings or work.

Order delivery in few minutes.. Its was a great..
The place has a nice feel to it. You can see people coming here with their little kids to give them a treat, youngsters enjoying a good meal which is also light on the pocket, oldies sipping chai with friends. I have been to this place many times and I would recommend that you stick to the South Indian dishes on their menu. The samosas they serve are not too tasty and the cholle bhature are nowhere close to what chole bhature should actually taste like. But their Idlis are really nice. They are soft and properly cooked. But the problem is that if you visit them for dinner chances are very less that any idlis will be left. Their masala dosa and uttapam are also good. Do remember to tell the waiter to cut down on the green chillis a bit in case of the mixed veg uttapam if you are not a chilli fan. It's a good place if you want to have a hygienic, simple and pocket friendly meal.
South Indian food - 8/10
Value for money - 8/10
Old school feel - 10/10
This is one of the best places to have South Indian food in the city. The food quality is quiet delicious, the service is quiet fast and decent sitting facility is available and prices are also reasonable.
Old time favourite for pakoda and samosa, dahi chutney is good, sambhar is good-tamilian style slightly spicy and tangy not like udupi sambhar,Plain dosa is ok crisp and thin, potato masala is just ok,rest of the food stuff you can give it a miss.

Taste: During our junior college days, this was the most frequently visited places, it has an old school charm in its setting and food, once u enter and sit amidst the chaos you feel you have come in 1920 Nagpur Congress Meet.. masala dosa, sambhar wada, pakoda are my favourites here, you get unlimited sambhar and chutney.. sambhar samosa, and chola bhaแนญura is also famous here, they have been serving for years and they know what appeals to the masses, don't expect something very high class and posh here, just eat good earthy snacks..
Service: servers here are from years, and they are supermen..
Ambience: tables here can not be claimed, anyone can come and sit in any vacant place available..
Value for money: nowadays hiked their prices, otherwise you get satisfied with the food and prices..8/10
Thumbs up for shanti bhawan. Superb place with simple interior. Located in the market place of the city. Just beside of panchsheel theater. Loved the place. M d big fan of the sambar samosa. ( 2nd best samosa in city after preeti corner) the other south Indian dishes are also good in taste especially the sambar n the taak wali chutney. Superb experience..!!
Shanti Bhavan lives on! It has been around now since decades & has served its down to earth, humble South Indian tiffin to millions at low, low prices.
One of the jewels in the crown of the aam aadmi for delicious dosas, vadas, idli, sambhar and filter coffee at Nagpur.
If one compares it to, say, Karnataka Sangha at Delhi, the latter takes the cake, hands down, both for quality and rates. But why compare? Let us savour the good things we have, at the place one is at.
So, not recommended forย a family outing, but take away or a solo brunch, most certainly, to get a feel of vintage India.
Coffee House, Shanti Bhavan....these are fabulous cafeteria.
Shanti Bhavan has indeed stood the test of time. Its been decades since the inception. I always remember my father telling me that this was the first restaurant he visited and had samosa when he came to Nagpur for the first time. Well the place is legendary. Somehow its not that popular on Zomato, but anyways this place doesn't need publicity.ย
I have visited this place numerous times and my recent visit was during my vacation in Nagpur after a long time, I was surprised as nothing had changed. The samosa still tasted the same, the sambhar and chutney had the same spice. The filter coffee again had the same aroma. The only thing that had changed was this time I wasn't sitting with my friends, but my family. Time flies.ย
I was contended and happily reminisced my days in Nagpur and the time I spent there.ย
:)
One of the best places in Nagpur to have Samosa. The chutnies served make it the best, especially the dahi mirchi chutney. For years this place has maintained its charm. I went to the place after 4 years and still the waiters were same and equally courteous. The taste was also the same. Even the pyaaj pakoda is good. must try is the samosa
A charming, long-standing vegetarian eatery located near Panchasheel Square, closely connected to the theater scene. Their entire menu is affordably priced, ranging from just 20rs to 250rs, offering a delightful and unpretentious culinary experience.
This is one of the oldest restaurant in Nagpur and old places hold the best memories of life.
I was a teenager when i visited for the first time here with my friend just to have a cup of tea. Trust me, they sell one of the best teas in Nagpur. It's been now more than 15-20 times I've been here till now.
Most of the times I try Dahi Pakoda and Sambar Vada here. What a taste!
The best part about this place is the people working here. They have a lightning fast service. Whatever you order will be there on your table within few minutes. They don't make you wait longer. Also they are very calm and polite while taking and serving your order.
The owner is a really calm person. He sits on the counter and speaks very less.
I like the way they are running this restaurant since many years with a wonderful service and taste. May be that's the reason people love to visit here.
Oldest resturant in Nagpur. Serving south Indian dishes at worthy price. Their settings arrangements are simple no fancy decoration. Location are easily reachable the mouthwatering teste of the Sambharwada and dosa. Water they serve is praiseworthy
No need to buy bottle. This is your good place, If you want quickbite.
Best place to have quick snacks. It has a heritage connect.90s kids may know how single screen cinema used to be the in thing. And this restaurant serves inside panchseel cinema also.
No gimmicks,no showbizz only food.
Nice tasty food. Dahi Samosa is special.
South Indian dishes are excellent. One of my favourite restaurant.
Food is good. Served hot. Even they don't charge extra money for extra sambar and chutney. Taste is best. Owner is friendly. Well maintained surrounding. Restaurant is clean. Overall good experience.
Still got the old world charm. Want to travel back to your childhood? Go there. No nonsense place no fancy stickers. No fancy items. Get here eat and move out. Take the taste with you
