Review Haji Darbar Restaurant - Nashik

I mostly visit for Biryani & Sharma. Never tried anything else. SHAWARMA has a unique taste and white sauce/chutney provided with it is having a little sweetness into it. Those who like it, are die hard fans of their Shawarma. It's filled heavily with chicken and better to share it with someone. It's now available whole day. Biryani is a Dum Biryani with tangy masala and perfectly cooked chicken. Both are just awesome dishes here.

Nice place to have Chicken Shwarma which i think if you order 1 it will be sufficient for 2 people. Chicken Seekh & Mutton Seekh are also nice here... The Shawarma Myo Sauce is a bit sweet which makes Shawarma sweet. They should suggest more types of Shwarma options & Myo Sauce Taste can also be changed.. A bit Expensive Dishes here.. Recommended to try n experience atleast once.

Awesome food and awesome place. We visited on a Sunday for dinner. We had an amazing chicken soup, an awesome chicken shawarma. The service was fast. The staff is very helpful and polite. This is an amazing place for Non veg lovers.

Had Lunch with family. Amazing service with a smile, food was tasty and hygienic. They have seperate seating for families and a seperate family section. Recommended: lahori tikka, Butter chicken, tandoori roti and a must try is their garlic naan. Parking was a little bit difficult however was assited by the them to park in front of the restaurant. I was glad they were open again clean and hygiene, service was a bit slow, however that is understandable after almost 5 months of being closed, i mainly visit to eat shawarma and i was NOT disappointed

The shawarma that i had here is by far one of the best shawarmas I had till date. We ordered for 2 shawarmas and a biryani but the staff asked us to try the shawarma first and then order biryani if we still felt like and My God that shawarma was huge! Such a great filling and garlic mayo along with it. Total bliss.<br/><br/>PS: We didn't order Biryani later.

They have a different and a huge type of shwarma which has like atleast 300-400gms of cooked meat and wrapped in a rumali roti. Costs around 200rs but i bet you cant eat it alone because of the massive amount of meat in it. They also serve masala dudh at evening, do come here in winters for a refreshing and warm masala dudh.

A very old and iconic restaurant in Nashik city.<br/>Serves delicious lunch and dinner.<br/>Famous for it's non-vegetarian dishes but vegetarian dishes are equally good.<br/>Service is fast and good, need to be a little more hygienic though.<br/>Apart from mughlai dishes, desi style chinese dishes are also good.

I am eating in this restaurant from 2001...days of college ...we used to come here for kababs ,biryani and yes the best...SHAWERMA ever...now,I don't live in Nashik any more,however whenever I am in Nashik I do have Shawerma at Haji and believe me it tastes same at it used to 17 years ago...if you love Shawerma and are in Nashik please enjoy this delicious treats....for my job I live in Mumbai and previously lived in Pune....both these cities have many Shawerma joints and they are good ,but believe me this is the best Shawerma joint I know where the chicken is perfectly cooked wraped with delicious stuff and served with a special white sauce as a dip..AWESOME....Also they have very good kababs...there dum biryani another thing to be tried which is again authentic...I hope their quality remains same for ever and ever

Located in old Nashik, it is the place to visit for all non veg lovers. The shwarama and biriyani are to die for, perhaps the best in town! They also have a wide array of kababs and main course available. So if you love non veg, this place is a heaven for you. 5/5 for taste! However, if you are among the ones seeking for an ambience too, then better take away from this place.

Located in Old Nashik, they serve the best Shawarma in the town. No other Shawarma comes anywhere near it. It’s toothsome and will leave you moreish, one won’t be content with just one. Very masala very tasty mouth watering food they serve. At start u would be confused with the taste but the time u get used to it, u can't get enough. Can't visit often as too much masala is not good for health. But once in a month?! Definitely why not!!!. A must tried restaurant.

Like 7-8 years back when I didn't knew what shawarma is my uncle in Nashik used to get me a shawarma! Freshly barbecued Chicken rolled in a Rumali Roti with a sauce which is very different from the normal sauce! So this was the definition for shawarma to me! Later on as shawarma became common in Mumbai and the shawarma in Mumbai never matched my expectations! This restaurant is in the insides of old Nashik. The 12 years old place belongs to the same family who runs the Kokani Darbar restaurant nearby.<br/><br/>I've give there twice. First time for their Dum Biriyani, which is genuinely a Dum. Really tasty although in the higher side of being oily. I still don't know whether to call it the best biriyani in Nashik , since its competitors always waiver in quality due to their lack of standardization.<br/><br/>Today I again went there for their Mutton Dal Ghosht.<br/>I was so much obsessed with Dal Kichdi after I tasted it by accident once in Pune. It became so addicting that whenever I flew to the North, the first thing I lay my tongue on has become Dal Kichdi. As days went by I desperately started looking for its non veg counterpart too. Then someone told me, that's called "Dal Kichada". Poor me. Again I was served the good old Veg Dal Kichdi, when I ordered a Dal Kichada. I shared my next craving with my fellow foodies and one of them suggested me "The Dal Ghosht". Googling for Dal Ghosht in Nashik straight away too me to Haji Darbar's page In tripadvisor.<br/><br/>I visited the place today afternoon at 2 pm & ordered a Dal Ghosht. I was the only customer there at that time. The guy behind the counter was showing an attitude of "eat it and leave mann...!!". They won't serve this in half quantities. So take someone with you if you are attempting this or else you have to parcel the rest of it (like I did). I was taken by surprise when the guy took my order for Roti. I was thinking that this is a stand alone dish with its own rice (like Dal Kichdi) but now my heart fell a bit, thinking it's just another mutton curry. The order was served in a small metallic bucket, along with chopped onions & lemon as salad. It smelled of a mix of Dal & Mutton flavors (which it technically is). It's not that hit in the pepper side, but slightly less oily than any Mutton curry I had in Nashik. Or maybe the Dal is covering it up.<br/><br/>More than the taste, what made me love this was its texture. Dal in the curry gave it a starchy texture that complemented the meat. There were a total of 6 mutton pieces (or 5 and a half?).<br/><br/>Finished if the day by grabbing a caramel custard pudding from their refrigerator. It was ok.<br/><br/>My ratings:<br/><br/>Food: 4.5/5. It is really good.<br/><br/>Location: 3/5. Located in a very crowded street in old Nashik.<br/><br/>Ambience: 3/5. it's an old place with it's facade faded with time. Needs a good dusting. A good one compared to other biriyani restaurants in Nashik. Please mind the flies by the way.<br/><br/>Staff behaviour: Not good for a good business to run for long. Very unprofessional. Same as the rest of biriyani restaurants in Nashik. So they are safe as far as their competitors improve in this aspect.<br/><br/>Total: 4/5. Dis is not at all in panchvati..It is near shalimar..My best bet for mughlai cuisine in nashik..Dey serve delicious khichda( mutton haleem) on fridays which is a must try..service is slow but better den other mughlai restaurants on the same street.

Though oily..but really tasty !<br/>Tandoori Chicken was okay! And in the main course.. Ch. Salli Boti was so so.. it was very much spiced.. we could taste the hot spices easily.. but with some salt on top, it was eatable!<br/>Rates are mostly reasonable... but today's special dishes were costly !<br/>Nonveg lover might want to visit this place..

Best chicken in Mughal style, I love dum biryani here, it's different from other biryani and it's awesome, chicken burnt garlic rice is mouth watering.....

You ll get best mughlai chicken combinations here. gravy is less oily and quality of food is just perfect. This place is well visited by hardcore non veg eaters. they also cook Chinese but never gave a try.. hopefully nxt time. Takeaway is also available. Give a try once if you haven't yet.

Set in the middle of Lokhand Bazaar, this restaurant is a dream-come-true for people who just love Mughlai cuisine. Their Shawarma is absolute bliss as is the sauce that they serve with it. They haven't mentioned it in the info, but this restaurant serves great Chinese food as well, and their Sizzlers are to die for. The service is good and rates, too are reasonable.<br/>Specially recommended for people who want to have a filling, scrumptious meal without having to shell out a lot.
