Review Rana Snacks & Thalipith - Nashik

Harshvardhan Shete
One of the most underrated (Dont know this is underrated or not but still) snack centre around Nashik Road. Whenever I went to Nashik, I haven't missed "The Shabudana Wada" plate here, and the "Chutney" which they served with it is awesome. One must Try this plate here. Its been already 8 years since I went there for the first time and from then till now they haven't compromised on quality of Food.

Self service and there is no extra space for setting. If there is rush you have to eat in standing. But over all food quality is good

The price of wada is very high 50 rs plate. They should reduce the price or it may affect their business.

RANA'S thalipiths are made from tapioca pearls. They are soaked and drained well. Then boiled mashed potato is added. Also, crushed peanuts and few spices are added. Then rolled into a circle and shallow fried in a kadhai, Not only during vrat or upvas, but this can also be enjoyed on a regular day as breakfast, It is healthy, delicious and makes a very filling meal.

I have been going here from more than 25 years when I was a kid growing in Nasik Road. This place is an hidden place behind the shopping building. The Sabudana vada is really good and tasty. The combination of a sweet spicy chutney makes the best combination. They sell a lot so you will never find cold Vada's. Do visit this place to taste some real Sabudana Vada in my town :)

I had sabudana(sago) bara here for the first time & it was just awesome tasty. If u take 2pcs it will be sufficient to feed ur hunger. Along with the chutney was also awesome. & standard hygiene was also maintained.

This place is very famous for Sabudana Vada. You can see crowd everytime you visit this place. Walkable distance from Nashik Road Railway Station. Must try if you are in nearby areas.

So this place serves only lassi, Sabudana wada and khichdi. But that is the best thing of this place limited dish but the best. The price is reasonable 20 rs per wada. They don't have proper seating so you will have to eat standing or sitting on a bench. It's nearby to Nashik Railway station 10 min walk so if you are near the Railway station I would suggest do visit this place for some superb snacks. The wada is very thin and crispy even the chutney served is delicious.

This is the crown jewel of the Nashik Road area. This eatery has been serving foodies around Nashik for several decades. Pros - One of its kind Sabudana Vada with unique Chutney combination. - Big serve size (2 big sabudana vada per plate) so value for money - Mild mannered staff & owner - Hygiene is upto the mark - Easier to reach from all areas. Cons No cons as such.
