Review Zazie Bistro & Grill - Navi Mumbai

Zazie bistro- ❖ Location- Located in vashi in mall, can say lot of food joints coming up in nearby area in recent time. its inside the mall on ground floor itself.(3.5/5) ❖ Theme- I guess they are the first restaurant in vashi who serves parsi food. So the theme revolves around the parsi culture.(4/5) ❖ Ambience- Interior is perfectly matching with the theme. Got nice old photo frames of Mumbai on one of their walls. Kept one old typed scooter and few other things to give that old look. Got open kitchen so you can have a look at the food chef is cooking for you.(4/5) ❖ Food and Beverage- We all know that parsi community is very famous for their authentic food. It is rare to find authentic parsi food around but here it was really nice. It was authentic but turned in their own way too in few of the dishes, which can be understood. Food menu has few other dishes too like nachos, pizza etc, few of them are twisted in parsi way. Beverages menu has lot of mocktails which you can try; few of them are really refreshing like Blue sea. Tried Raspberry soda which is really famous and was super refreshing, little sweet.(4/5) FOOD- • PATRA NI MACCHI- A traditional macchi (Fish) dish marinated in green masala made with coriander, mint, green chillies and other spices and then wrapped in banana leaf then finally steamed it to the perfection.(4/5) • WATERMELON AND FETA SALAD- A healthy salad made with watermelon, feta cheese, balsamic vinegar, mint and sliced black olives. (4/5) • MUTTON KHEEMA PAV- A perfect traditional dish made with mutton kheema and spices served along with fresh pav. A must try dish of them. Simply delicious.(5/5) • CHICKEN FARSA- Chicken cut flat and coated in egg and fried soft enough and finished with fried onions. Chicken was really moist and juicy after it was cooked.(4.5/5) • MUTTON SAMOSA- Homemade samosas stuffed with mutton kheema which was little sweetish side but had good amount of filling inside, served with green chutney.(4.5/5) • MUSHROOM CHEESE TANDOORI- Mushrooms stuffed with cheese and then cooked in tandoor. Simple yet delicious dish as a quick bite.(4/5) • CHICKEN KHEEMA PIZZA- Good medium thin crust pizza topped with generous amount of kheema. Was nice and cheesy too.(4.5/5) • SALLI BOTI- Mutton chunks cooked in Super delicious rich and thick gravy and topped with potato salli. Must order berry pulav along with it. Must order dish .(5/5) • CHICKEN DHANSAK WITH BROWN RICE- a traditional dhansak made with different lentils (daal) and chicken cooked in it served with brown rice topped with fried onions.(4/5) • Chef’s special PARSI IRANI FEAST- A special menu created by chef for Parsi new year consists of Russian pattice, seafood soup, salli marghi, patra ni kolmi, irani kheema pizza, mutton berry pulav, salted caramel custard falooda. Certainly a feast for true parsi food lovers.(4/5) • SALTED CARAMEL CUSTARD FALOODA- Really different thought chef has given here. Salted caramel custard topped with vanilla ice cream along with noodles. Noodles were uncooked here so total fun of the dish went for toss but thought which was given in the dish was excellent.(3/5) ❖ My Recommendations- • Chicken kheema pizza • Patrani macchi • Chicken Farsa • Salli boti • Berry Pulav ❖ Why you should visit? • Parsi Food • Different variety of food other than parsi food • Interiors • Good service • Price point ❖ To sum up- As we know in Mumbai there are very few restaurants serves good parsi food and i can say this restaurant is one of them. Price point is even better so can say totally value for money. They can work more on their mocktails as this segment they are lacking behind a bit. In all even interiors were positive and matching to the theme. A must try place if you are craving for parsi food. ❖ Quick Ratings- • Location-3.5/5 • Theme-4/5 • Ambience-4/5 • Food and Beverage-4/5 • Value for Money-4.5/5 • Final Rating- 4/5

This restaurant is located near palm beach road at Vashi, its bit confusing to reach there but as u say diamonds are really hard to find, this restaurant is one of the jewels of Navi Mumbai. They are known for their expert culinary in authentic Iranian and Parsi dishes, which is rarely available across Navi Mumbai, so for my Parsi brothers and sisters, this is a place where you can taste your authenticity. Dishes like Berry Pulao, Kheema paw are their one of the signature favourites. When I entered this restaurant really felt like home as the decor was too good and catchy, the art interiors, ambience is just amazing you can feel the warmth there. The following are the dishes we ordered. #Fish tikka sizzler - This dish was perfectly cooked with all the flavours intact. #Fish corn fitters - It had a very nice crispy taste which really balanced the fish flavour. #Chicken Farcha - This is an authentic Parsi food with perfectly cooked chicken. #Ortolana Pizza - This is an Italian pizza with thin crust, it was cooked but the edges were little hard. #Fish Steak - This was a great dish, the fish steak was served with mashed potatoes and parcely rice. #custard caramel - Mine hogging ended with this beautiful custard caramel which left me with the best memories of Zazie. #Raspberry soda - Which was fine not that amazing. Staff - All the staff members including Mr. Amit Verma (Manager) seemed very down to earth person loved his hospitality and kindness. Chef - Mr. Rahul (Executive chef) was really good at his work. Thankyou Zazie for such a beautiful experience

Zazie Bistro and Grill, this place is situated in Satra Plaza Vashi. Almost a year old now. Speciality of this place is the Irani and Parsi Food which is very rare in Navi Mumbai. So in terms of accessibility , its very easy from any near by 3 railway stations ie Vashi , Koparkhairane and Turbhe. Ambience is really nice and kept really simple. First thing which catches your eyes as soon as you enter the the mercedes car model kept in the top portion. Then you enter there's also a scooty kept inside. Drinks : I started off with Hot Chocolate and this one was the best hot chocolate of Navi Mumbai. Cocoa Milk was a real disappointment because of the ice which was added which made it too watery. Black Current Punch Was good i would say. Ice Cream Soda again didn't excite my taste buds enough. But Raspberry Soda Covered up for everyone. It was really great and a must try thing over here. Food : Chicken Farcha , a parsi/irani dish was perfeccct.... I loved it to core. Taste of masalas , fried onions , all that i need was there in this dish. Eda Chutney Na Pattice , a very unique Dish is a must try dish.Boiled egg covered with the batter and fried with potato covering in between . Bruschetta , Was a okay dish i can say. You can ignore this one and go ahead and order something else. Creamy Cheese Fusilli Pasta , me not being a pasta fan liked this one so i think it would be really a treat for pasta lovers. Murgh Angara kebab , I can say i expected too much i guess thats why couldnt that much enjoy this dish but still it was nice. Paneer Berry Pulao was a treat to eyes. Such a colourful dish garnished with berries , cashews and onions. Taste wise it was great and a single person an completely hogg into it .Must try dish . Desserts: Caramel Custard was not that great i would say. Could have been better. Chocolate Lava Cake over here is the best one in the class i can say. No other restaurant in Navi mumbai provides such a great lava cake. Overall a very good place with nice staff and ambience and food speaking for itself. My rating for this place would be 4/5.

Zazie Bistro is located well within Satra Plaza complex on Palm Beach Road. There can be a bit of searching around for the place but once you do, it welcomes you with warmth. It boasts of bench style seating and an assortment of quirky installations in its premises. One’s gaze is sure to move from here to there looking at all them. I was there to try out the Parsi cuisine offerings. I must say, they have tried to experiment with the traditional cuisines and have done a good job. I had the following items: 1. Raspberry Soda – traditional Parsi thirst quencher (I loved the taste, could use a little bit more fizz) 2. Fish Corn Fritters – delicate and delicious 3. Boneless chicken farcha – traditional farcha with a twist to it. Loved the flavor and the consistency of the gravy 4. Mutton Sali boti – another popular and traditional Parsi delight. The taste was on point and I enjoyed it with paav 5. Chicken berry pulao – Pulao with berries as topping giving the dish a sweet edge. The taste is really good and the fragrance is pure. Those who haven’t tried this dish should try it out. 6. Caramel Custard – The dessert loved by all. Zazie got this one right and made no errors in this. The service was good and the staff was helpful in answering any queries which arose. Finally, Navi Mumbai has a place to get Parsi food and snacks. This is the perfect place to go with your office colleagues or friends for an informal food outing. Go ahead and check out this place.

This place has great food! We tried their four cheese pizza which was yum. The BLT was disappointing. Their Berry pulao was simply delicious! Loved it. Overall, the place is definitely worth a visit.

AMAAAZING !!!! MOUTHWATERINGLY DELICIOUS PARSI IRANI FOOD!! THEIR CHICKEN FARCHA WAS CRUNCHY DELICIOUS AS WERE THE OTHER MAIN COURSE ( PICS OF ONLY FARCHA AND DESERT CARAMEL PUDDING AS I WAS TOO IMMERSED TO CLICK ANY PICS). THEIR INTERIOR IS ALSO COOL, FOLLOWING RETRO THEME. THE PLACE IS SMALL BUT CLEAN AND GOOD SERVICE!

Zazie Bistro is located on ground floor inside the very spacious Satra Plaza. The place serves multi cuisine food, but specialises mostly in Irani/Parsi food. The ambience is a mixture of a modern day Parsi cafe, with a cute Orange colored Vespa scooter parked inside. We really loved the Dhansak, Mutton samosas, chicken cutlets, fish fillets and Fussili pasta a lot. The Berry Pulao is their most delicious dish, made in the authentic Parsi style. We believe Zazie is one of the best places to find such droolworthy Berry Pulao across Navi Mumbai. For desserts, do try the Blueberry cheesecake. Its rich textures and sweet-tangy taste is a great way to end your meal. P.S. They also serve the most favorite Pallonji sodas in 2 flavors here! These remind us of our childhood days, and gives such a homely feel! The service here is excellent, and the staff is courteous & friendly. Do pay them a visit for some really good Parsi food.

having an option to eat before I die, this is the place i would like to visit. Nice place to hangout with your friends. Buffets are available only from Friday to Sunday. Average food price ranges. Have many options to choose from. Not to mention, they have their own live pasta ,salads and Parsi counters. Their Parsi food is a must taste thing. And its 280 a buffet(only on Friday). A foodie like me can enjoy it on every Friday when u are all dull and bored. <3 <3

When I think of Parsi cuisine, what immediately comes to mind are the quaint old Irani restaurants in South Mumbai with their vintage aesthetic and traditional take on recipes. So when I got to know of Zazie Bistro and Grill serving Parsi cuisine in Navi Mumbai I was curious and apprehensive of it at the same time. How could a recently opened restaurant in Navi Mumbai claim to serve delicious AND authentic Parsi cuisine, that too when the owners themselves don't belong to the said community? But Supreet and her team at Zazie laid all my doubts to rest when they invited me to review their Parsi menu. After getting a brief on how the restaurant came about, I was told a bit about how the recipes were sourced (won't divulge that though :D ) and how they were consistently worked upon to ensure that each and every dish turned out perfect. I started my meal with the Ice Cream soda, a vanilla based fizzy concoction that made even the soda skeptic in me go back for repeated sips till I got to the very last drop from the bulb container that it was served in. The dishes I sampled are listed out below : PAPETA PAR EDU - A shakshouka-esque preparation, this was an explosion of flavours in my mouth. The tangy-spicy tomato sauce-mash bed, topped with wafer thin slices of potato and egg was so drool-worthy that despite immense effort on my part to not do so, I ended up helping myself to quite a few servings of this dish. Delicious, and how ! EDA CHUTNEY NU PATTICE - If a "scotch egg" was to be given an Indian twist, this is what it would look like. Hard boiled egg coated in spicy green chutney and further encased in a jacket of herbed mashed potatoes and deep fried - this is what you'd like to have on a cool rainy day with a nice hot cup of chai. Quite nice, this. DELSHAD'S SIGNATURE CREOLE BUTTER WITH TANDOORI COTTAGE CHEESE - While not exactly a Parsi dish, this one has been passed on to the team at Zazie by one of their Parsi friends and has been perfected over time. The herbed mashed potatoes placed underneath the paneer add more smoothness to the overall texture of the dish, and the butter when slathered on top of the paneer makes for a combination that you'd end up going back to, over and over again (I know because I did). So, so, so very good! VEG DHANSAK WITH BROWN RICE - The first thing that hit me when I had a spoonful of the Dhansak was the strong, tart flavour of tamarind. And that made all the difference! An otherwise simple, lentil-based preparation was elevated in flavour by the addition of just one condiment. Loved the generous use of caramelised onions in both, the brown rice as well as the dhansak. This, again, is a secret recipe that has been passed on to the team at Zazie by a Parsi friend, and boy is it a wonderful one! CARAMEL CUSTARD - I kept a bit of space in my stomach for this quintessentially Parsi sweet dish, because what meal is complete without the perfect dessert ! The custard was light as air and had a silken smoothness in texture. The caramel sauce possessed a lovely brown tinge and was sweet enough without being overpowering. Couldn't have concluded my meal better. Zazie with it's contemporary take on old world charms is trying to bring a new dining aesthetic to Navi Mumbai, and that truly is a commendable feat. The interiors have a very personal touch to them but at the same time are inviting enough for guests to feel connected to them. The flooring is eye catching, the vintage Vespa sitting pretty in one corner provides for the perfect Instagram-worthy photo op, and the hood of a Mercedes car looking at you from the loft above makes for a truly amusing sight. My visit to Zazie proved to be an absolutely delightful one. And, in my opinion, the place deserves perfect ratings because there is not a single thing that I can complain about. So if you ask me whether you should visit the place, the answer will be a resounding yes. Go on then !!

It's a lovely place on palm beach road. They have simply awesome ambience. I have tried their cheese garlic bread and mocha coffee and all were just best. I would love to visit here again and again ❤.

This place must be on your 'must visit' list. And the Dhansak and Paneer tikka creole butter on your 'must eat' list. (Have written a detailed review on zomato, refer to that for more details)

It's a nice place to sit with good ambience. Music also good, not too loud that you can't hear to each other conversation... In food, I tried Keema pav which was very delicious, I loved it. From drinks I took iced tea - lemon that was okay. Overall good experience.
