Review Shalimar Restaurant - Navi Mumbai

We tried there Mutton Raan Masala which is just awesome. It will require 4-5 PPL to finish, also taste is just yummy. Also it will take 20-25 for your order. Also tried Shalimar special falooda which was okay as per it's price.

Awesome place to eat non veg food. I have tried a lot of non-veg restaurants in Mumbai but the quality of food in this place is unmatchable. One must try chicken crispy & also chicken barbecue starter is yummy.Haven for non veg lovers.

Food was brilliant, I must say that prices are quite higher side. Other than that service was superb. Business people are oftenly visit these restaurant.

I had this amazing dish Chicken Shahenshah on independence day. The taste was very delicious. I also ordered chicken chilli and Raan biryani which were mouth watering. Definitely must try these items. Also the new ambience is pretty elegant.

Hotel is recently renovated. Good is tasty but expensive a bit. Parking is available on main road. Staff is helpful.

This place really touched my heart. If you are a mutton lover, this is YOUR restaurant. Every dish was cooked to perfection. I had the Dabba Gosht and the Zaffrani Chicken Tikka. Not a single bite disappointed me. The Chicken had multiple cuts, but were cooked accordingly to perfection. Dabba Gosht was like a dream. Pair that with anything… bread or rice. It a winner. Fair pricing mostly and total paisa vasool. I had Shahi tukda for the first time although it is such a simple n humble dessert, it was sooo yummy. Am coming back again!

It was nice. The food was good. I visited this place for first time and loved it. We ordered sizzlers. They were good. Please do not go for falooda. It was average. Overall the experience was good. Definitely recommended.

One of the best places to have Non veg food in Vashi. Have tried Irani Boti kabab, Mutton Biryani and Phirni. Everything was perfect and nicely cooked, with meat pieces succulent ans soft enough.

Today visited shalimar hotel, vashi branch which is famous for its authentic mughali dishes. Ambience is spacious and is good for family dinner. The seating arrangement is nice. staff is friendly. Coming to food, we tried chicken coriander dry - which was green and had a combination of chicken cubes, garlic coriander tossed in their special sauces! It was very flavorsome! chicken mumtaz kebab - it was unique & consisted of two huge leg pieces stuffed with chicken kheema..authentic flavors and really a must try! chicken zaffrani kebab - tender chicken kebab pieces..which tasted really nice we also tried shalimar special chicken chilly gravy with roti..it was a perfect combination and their chicken chilly is different than the usual one. roti was fluffy and went really well with it! chicken hot bean - it was chicken starter served on sizzler plate. the quantity was huge..and it was really good combination of spices and their inhouse sauces. it is a must try! we ended up on a sweet note with their signature falooda..i m not a big fan of falooda but this one you must definitely try!

Recently checked out to this wonderful place in Vashi. It has outlets in Marol & Jogeshwari as well. This is the best restaurant if you're looking out for some really good north Indian food! We ordered: • Shalimar Paneer Hungama ⭐- sizzling hot, with amazing quantity of paneer cubes, well tossed and soft and yummy! • Fish Shanghai - soft pieces of fish, in a hot and spicy sauce, loved it • Tawa preparation: Murg Dilruba - chunks of marinated chicken in a semi thick gravy with lots of spices. Goes well with Butter roti/ naan 💕 • Paneer Tikka Biryani ⭐ - good quantity of paneer cubes, smoked and grilled with spiced and aromatic basmati rice! • Shahi Gulaab Falooda ⭐- comes with a scoop of malai flavoured icecream and rose flavoured milk with sabja seeds! Recently visited this beautiful outlet in Vashi. The ambience is very calm and family friendly. Coming to food, we loved their starters! Do check out their special Paneer Hungama starter. You would definitely love it. The tawa Murg Dilbara is also worth trying. They serve good veg options like paneer Tikka Biryani. The Faalooda is a must try here. Good place serving amazing North Indian food

One of my friend take me to this restaurant. Heard that it's very oldest hotel retains the traditional taste in food. Today had veg varieties, hope to taste their non veg next time. During weekend it's fully packed lunch time. Good place to spend time relaxly with family. Services needs improvement. Though parking is very limited, you can park your car aside opp to hotel.

Coming to food, 1.We requested butter chicken.chunks of marinated chicken in a semi thick sauce with parcels of flavors. Goes well with Butter roti/ naan 2. Tandoori chicken- tandoori was tasty 3. We had a mutton biryani and chicken biryani. Chicken biryani was superb and the mutton is average because that tasted similar to first Chicken biryani

Wonderful experience. Food was awesome. It could be the best tandoori I have eaten. Murg musallam was a delight for our group and chattered for 6 persons. PS- Chicken Shehenshah--- Don't go by the service persons advice. Sirf naam Shehenshah hai, No taste. Overall, a non-veg lovers delight.

I ordered Chicken fried rice and chicken lollipops yesterday. The fried rice was sticky and weird in taste and the chicken was not properly cooked. There was even some chicken skin in the rice. I ordered two different types of Falooda from Shalimar yesterday night . The order was received in 20 minutes with a message from Zomato that ‘ V made ur order reach in 20 minutes’. As u can c from the photo one cannot make out whether it is dal or falooda. The icecream in both the faloodas were completely melted. The taste was horrible . It seemed as if only water is there.

Recently ordered a 12" veg italian pizza from shalimar fast food, kurla.<br/>The pizza came with no condiments, much to my surprise. Also, it looked much smaller than 12".<br/>The condiments(chilli powder mostly) were already sprinkled heavily on the pizza, which ruined the taste.<br/>The pizza tasted as if I was eating bread with cheese gravy.

Shalimar offers just such amazing taste in biryani..!!! It's just so delicious. And the quantity let me tell you - MAN MAN...!!!! Had ordered the Tiranga kebab platter and the kebab which had stuffed kheema tasted a bit odd, other varieties were fine in the kebab, paneer manchurian and paneer hariyali tikka were average, the order took a lot of time more than 35-40min. In the main course had the butter chicken which was below average and the paneer butter masala was good. The service could be improved. Not so great experience overall.

When the menu says that it is mutton, it should had been mutton & not beef, luckily I have no issues with eating beef but others might. Also ethically it is incorrect to serve beef when you write mutton.<br/><br/>So I request you to update your menu.

Well there is a news in wind about this franchise being good at their hospitality,I visited at Vashi outlet and about honest review about this place is food we ordered (KHEPSA RICE) was with good taste ,excellent quantity and half serving is enough for two people but it took 1 hour to get on table, the only item we ordered (RICE) ,because of which our work was delayed further .at start staff didn’t even bother to serve water or ask for an order ,might be because they where busy running (kindly hire more staff for service if possible) .Food when served in table the first thing I notice was HAIR STRAND in it ,they dint even bother to apologise...well we were hungry and don’t like to send food back to kitchen or waste it so we removed that hair strand and had that food .<br/>Before anyone visiting this outlet keep in mind about only good food but then it comes with super flop service .

Tawa Kheema Gurda is awesome. We also tried the Bhuna Gosht and Gosht Kichada which was very well cooked. Worth visiting multiple times. Excellent and Authentic taste.

Shalimar! As the name suggest it was worth going there, I really liked the flavours of the food found here. Everything we ordered I enjoyed their taste. The kabas the perfectly cooked and exactly how I like them. The biryani was good too and at the end I really liked the drink which was - kesar badam. I even liked the shalimar special which was ordered by my sister.

My college was in Navi Mumbai and I would visit this place often back then. So recently when I went there I felt nostalgic and got my all time favorite- Chicken Biryani- and it was amazing! Shalimar is place one must be very cautious about..<br/>Saturday afternoon we headed here to have some scrumption non veg meal..<br/>As soon as we entered the place was full and waiting time was half n hour..<br/>Once we got to the table immediately we ordered schejwan chicken tandoori and nagar chicken with butter rotis..<br/>First the chicken tandoori arrived with schejwan sauces stir fried..the chicken was average testing but spiciness was high although overall taste was good..<br/>Then comes the mains chicken angara and butter rotis.. we ordered chicken angara as we wanted spicy gravy recommended by the staff..but it was sweeter than butter chicken and totally disappointing dish although breads were nice the meal was already spoiled and what I saw next gave me chills<br/>One of the staff were taking stale and diseased dead hens to the kitchen, feathers were all yellow the..horrible scene<br/>I spotted eating and immediate asked for the bill while inquiring with manager they said chicken angara is meant to be a sweet gravy which was surprising because staff claimed it to be the spicy among all..<br/>As expected diarhhea was followed after this visit..<br/>Try this place on your own risk..

The place is good with good food, but the one who took our order was rude and not at all interested. He was busy playing with his phone than taking orders. I thought of complaining about him but he was also sitting at the counter. He was dressed in his white n black uniform. Did not have a good experience.<br/><br/>The servers were better than him and were more courteous. So for me and my family it was the last time I visited this place. I have other restaurants with same food quality and taste in Navi Mumbai. Stars lost due to service.

It started with a lot of waiting for food and it was not worth the wait. Expected good quality food but the only thing we got with our food was a lot of oil and colour!! This is a great place to get your falooda craving satisfied.<br/>The staff is polite and can recommend some of the best dishes that they offer. The decor is great and the food is some of the best mughlai food in the area.<br/><br/>The tandoori starters are cooked to perfection and the chicken was juicy and flavoured well.<br/><br/>The fish Koliwada was flaky with a light coating of spiced batter and literally melted in my mouth.<br/><br/>The Lucknowi chicken is not the typical tomato gravy and had a great cardamom flavour through it. The spice level was also great.<br/><br/>The bhuna ghost was so good that one would have midnight cravings for it. The meat just fell apart and the tangy tomato gravy was just pulled me back in.<br/><br/>The biryani here is complex and the chicken was tender.<br/><br/>The faaloda is quite different than other places. The glass has a bottom layer of sugar syrup and the flavoured milk with sabza and vermicelli with nuts and kulfi is poured over it. Be sure to mix it well once you get it.<br/><br/>One could just get the biryani and falooda and be happy but do try the starters too.<br/><br/>The Vashi outlet gets its food from the central bhendi bazar outlet. So there is no compromise on taste there.<br/><br/>Highly recommended.<br/><br/>

Worst experience, I have ordered two items out of this one item was delivered after one hour second item was delivered after one and half hour that too by Shalimar restaurant representative. Zomato wallet was seems to be in hurry. Very pathetic experience.

Good Muglai Food in Mumbai .... value for money and good in taste. Nalli Nahari, Raan and Tandoori Chicken are my favourite and good in taste... however Rumali Roti is overpriced as I am from Lucknow it seems overpriced.... will give 4 stars...

A total disappointment.<br/>Their Murgh tandoori’s are so small that it doesn’t even satisfy the hunger for one.<br/>The rates should be kept keeping the size in mind.<br/>Surely not ordering from the same place again.

Orderd a sizzler mutton do pyaza and nalli nihari also half plain biryani rice the quantity served was filling had falooda too which was the best In all a good restraunt for mughlai dishes wasn't much rushed calm vibes nice ambience

None of the waiters is interested in telling about dishes. Very bad service. Laid back waiters. Ask for any dish to be customized to have less spice in some dish, they say it is already prepared.

Delecius meal. Ordered mutton korma, tandoori paratha and rice for my dinner.<br/><br/>Mutton korma :- Soft pieces of mutton which melts in your mouth however the garam masala flavour was strong, I like garam masala so it was ok for me. Quantity was great for one serving<br/><br/>Butter Tandoori Paratha:- Whole wheat tandoori paratha which was pluffy and buttery. Tasted well with korma.<br/><br/>Rice was basmati and quantity was good for one. Overall great experience.

Its a good place n very under budget menu they have. Food are bit oily n spicy so u have to tell them to reduce these before ordering food. They serve good north indian n mughlai dishes.

Horrible experience...ordered brain masala and mutton tikka masala and delivered  chicken biryani and kabab after two hours. very very pathetic...

Apart from chicken chilly ...there is nothing left in this shalimar that can be called worth trying .... they have stoped shawarma .... now that's a joke ..... overall food is good and clean, but I would still prefer to go Bombay shalimar to have food

The most legendary place,best known for its Biryani! If you haven’t tried it yet,you sure are missing out on something great! They serve the best chicken lollipops as well!

Order Number: 1321834254 from Shalimar APMC Vashi had bad experience.<br/>Although falooda was fine, but mutton seekh kabab was dry n seems to be cooked in the  morning.

Ambience is good, food is good not the best as compare to Bhendi Bazar's Shalimar.... Little expensive and the quantity is little less........ All in all a good experience. 😉.........last but not least, the service is fast contrary to some folks review.

Got food delivered 3 times. One was chicken biryani.. flavour was not that great. Second time ordered a sweet corn chicken soup. It was ok. Third time was through zomato for garlic naan ,tandoori roti and dal mutton curry. Naan tasted like rubber with no taste. Curry was ok but there was a loooot of oil floating on top.<br/>They take a lot of time to deliver compare to other restaurants..

Horrible horrible experience. Knowing the fact that its a muslim restaurant, we ordered Chicken Mughlai along with other dishes. To our disappointment when we tasted Mughlai chicken, it was pathetic. Stale smelly chicken with bland tasteless gravy on top. We immediately called the staff and complained. They very politely took the dish assuring us to replace. 5 mins later they brought the same stuff reheated. We wanted to leave by now, the manager came and suggested to offer butter chicken as a replacement we thought they are so concerned, so lets not leave like that. Butter chicken in small quantity which was also tasteless but we still had a bite or two. To our surprise when the bill came we could see we were charged for both stale chicken Mughlai which we sent back and also for the replacement offered by the manager without informing us that its not a replacement but a topup order. Extremely pissed by the service and fraudulant behaviour we paid the bill and left. Not going there ever again.

Dal Gosht was the best dish I have eaten in this restaurant. Their biryani rice and the gravy preparation tastes awesome and is complete value for money. Must visit for all foodies.

Please don't ever order Tawa ghost pulav. Too bland, hardly any taste. Lacked any flavor. Not worth the money. Onions given along with pulav were literally stinking. Can't really describe how bad n disgusting I was feeling after long wait for the order. I had ordered at 10 pm approx and delivery came @ 11:20 pm. I will be giving second thought if I want ever order from this place again. Really sorry for not giving half star as there no option for it.

Never Try Slum Biryani of Mumbai from here , the worst kind of biryani I have ever tried in my life, I guess the chef who prepares biryani should go to Hyderabad and learn how to prepare a biryani and then try experimenting on people of Mumbai . No quality with no taste . Just the restaurant became famous so just serving whatever comes .

didn't revive raita with chicken biryani. order was delivered very late. i thought this could probably because of the Mumbai bandh, so I called up the restaurant and they said they got confused. they had not initiated my order even after 1 hour that i placed it. the app said the order was delivered when it hadn't!!!

Briyani was ok. But butter milk had too much salt. Couldn't drink so had to throw unfortunately.

Visited Shalimar Vashi yesterday ,July 22, and was very disappointed at the quantity of food being served. Ordered butter chicken and it barely had just 4 tablespoons of butter chicken in the handi which apparently looked a lot bigger for serving just 4tbspns.

Best best best place for authentic mughlai food. Believe me I went here thrice before putting up this review and this restaurant didn't let me down even one single time. The schezwan chicken tandoori is the no doubt the best and my all time favorite. It's a must try dish guys. Bhuna Ghosh and butter chicken are also verrry tasty..The best part here , is the tandoori roti, it's so flaky and crispy that you can't can't can't miss it at all.<br/>As for deserts guys, witout any further thots go ahead with falooda.. I bet you would have never tasted a falooda like this..<br/><br/>Last but not the least to mention is the service. Super duper quick and very friendly and courteous staff. The ambience is also a very authentic mughlai interior.<br/><br/>
