I had the pleasure of dining at Malvan Tadka, the seafood gem nestled within SriKrishna Paradise Hotel, during my brief stay here sometime in February 2023 and I must say, it was a remarkable experience. This place deserves nothing less than a 5-star rating. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for the evening. The interior was beautifully decorated, creating an atmosphere that was both cozy and upscale. The location is fantastic, making it easy to find and offering a pleasant view. The service was impeccable, with a staff that went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. The restaurant manager was attentive and made sure every aspect of my visit was top-notch. The menu was a seafood lover's dream come true, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I was offered frsh catch of the day - Ravas fish. So I took one full fish - half fish as fry preparation & half fish as curried preparation. The food was exceptional - fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. From the succulent crab dishes to the delightful cocktails at the bar, every bite and sip was a taste of heaven. And speaking of live crabs, having them available added an exciting element to the dining experience. What truly sets Malvan Tadka apart is the reasonable pricing. Given the quality of the food, service, and ambiance, the value for money is outstanding. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Hey diners.....I went out with my family to dine here for the first time...actually had gone earlier too but came back looking at the entrance where we saw bar like atmosphere.... But this time....looks like they have redone the ambience...not sure...but it had fresh vibes... We went for non veg food....tried fish fry....chicken lolly pop...chicken tandoor ...prawns malwani...the food was delicious..... The staff was co-operative and infact suggested good fishes....After food we were reminded to have sol kadhi.... We started off with refreshing lemongrass mojito, perfect to prep one's appetite. For starters, we had the Chandani kebab, which honestly shone brighter than the moon. Had gone to Malvan Tadka to have my lunch after a long 5 hours drive. We ordered a simple 2 plates of butter chicken with naans and some rice, the food arrived a bit late and what they served in the name of butter chicken was an orange tasteless gravy with tiny bits of chicken in it. The waiter serving us also found it embarrassing as he couldn’t find the dish up to the standards. We were very hungry and started to eat our meal but then we realised that we were paying a sum of ₹ 225/- and it was not worth even a bit and finally decided to call the manager who simply took the Kadhai to the kitchen and added a few chunks of boiled chicken to it. I have one simple suggestion to the management of this restaurant , Please keep your kitchen staff happy so that they do the preparations with some love. That’s as simple as that. I first visited this place for a booze with my friend who stays close-by. Then it did not appeal me as a restaurant worth reviewing, as it was not all that what it is now. Although, I started reviewing just recently, I realized that this is one place I often visit and should be reviewed for its Malvani seafood. The location around this restaurant is residence to Aagri & Koli communities. So you can expect good coastal taste here. They have a large open seating area which is beside a huge nala, as they call it. But the huge high speed fans take care of the stuff coming along with it. They also have a decent AC indoor seating - not quite large, though - and the rates reflect accordingly. What I like about this place is the seafood. I recommend: 1. Crab Tandoori (seasonal) 2. Crab Malvani Curry 3. Surmai Malvani Curry 4. Surmai Tawa Fry Mostly, they serve good Malvani seafood. Although, other regular dishes are also quite good enough. So, if you are traveling from Pune/Panvel to Thane or the other way round, you may stop by this place and enjoy a reasonably good seafood. However, make note - If you are visiting with family, try & book the table in AC seating area. The staff serving in open area is not all that friendly all the time. There are always exceptions, though. Again, this review is for Malvan Tadka, Kalwa/Vitava. They have branches in various parts of Mumbai too. Not sure about the taste and quality of food there. A dinner with friends turned out to be a volcano in our mouths. Our order was pretty simple fish platter and chicken Tandoor. Fish platter had a few things nice and sober to eat but the crab served was spoiler for our taste. To drown the crab down our throats we had to fill ourself with water. Next in line chicken tandoor was equally disastrous. Tandoor is one dish which does not need any special preparation. But I guess the cook today was totally lost and had all the dishes served with a lot of masala. The chicken tandoor gave us a run for water. Things went bad when we complained about the food and asked the manager to take it away. We were told that you are returning the food cause you guys are full and not hungry anymore. Disappointing!!!

Quite disappointed in the service of one particular guy. We had extremely spicy food and we asked for it to be replaced as our mouths were burning. We ordered sweets to compensate for our burning palates which took over 30-35 mins to he served. Eventually, we had plenty water to calm the burning sensation. When we mentioned that the food is overly spicy, the manager said that we did it because we are full and kept insisting we eat the same food. Really disappointed at the way guests are treated. Will never visit this place again.

A very local place but totally a pleasant surprise. The immediate thing that was noticed was whenever and wherever efforts are taken it shows. The place is located just at the border of kalwa and airoli and is easily seen while passing by. The place is a regular Shetty run restaurant specialising in malvani cuisine, but the overall food is way above par of expectations. The owner Mr SANTOSH SHETTY himself is always around to see everything is smooth and well coordinated. We went here on a Friday afternoon where the place was usaully busy due to corporate employees flocking by as there are many corporate officea around and this is definitely a good place . The AMBIENCE is also pleasantly done with different sitting configuration. The best part was the AC was working despite of the power outage and thats what ticked this place to full marks. The owner made the proper power backup arrangements. The STAFF deserves a special mention as they are the real heroes to run the show. The service was absolutely prompt despite of the restaurant being full to it's capacity. coming to the food One thing that came to notice was the PRESENTATION of the dishes which was great for a restaurant like this in such locality. The mocktails were given in different shape jars and bottles to make it attractive. We had CHICKEN PAHADI KEBAB which was nice and tasty with decent quantity. CHICKEN RARA gravy was also great. Though it was a different preparation than what we usaully get in mughlai hotels. They had given a in house twist to the dish. Not very spicy but overall very balanced in taste front. The butter garlic naan and plain naan were complimenting the main dish well. So to conclude though this was our 1st visit this place will see us more to try out various dishes. Though the name says Malwan tadka, i havent seen many people ordering anything Malwani here. The food is quite average too. But the biggest drawback here is the service. Apart from soup all the other orders take ages to reach to your plate. The staff aint very helpful in that matter as well. Also, the taste of a few items is not consistent. So overall, its an average place with average taste and below average service.

Having an office in Airoli, this is one of the most frequent places we visit for any team events. The Malvan is absolutely a misnomer though.The place is better for north indian fare both veg and non veg. The main course is good and can be had on any day. Good on the pocket as well.A team of about 20 people with mix of veg and non-veg comes to about 5000 rupees, which is great. (without alcohol)

It was a good experience with my office mates.The food was yummy specially the Malwan dishes.I liked the unique way the dishes were served.For the bad part, it took a longer time than usual for the order . But I wouldnt complain about it as food was worth the wait.

Malvan tadka, Ok food, but sad service and management. fish we ordered was also not that great, we ordered a chicken starter with recommendation of the server and it turned out to be very spicy. i thought i was having chilli powder with chicken. we ordered kombdi wade which was good, good soolkadi, but we were let down by service. when we were writing reviews the waiter was forcing us to write good, which was very annoying. Poor service is another aspect. Probably i would advice good for takeway, but not that great when you go with your family and friends.

We ordered Cream of chicken soup at the start .. it was yummy.. we ordered it again.. and it appeared on table after main course with different taste.. :/ .. overall food was ok..average taste.. slow service !

Probably this is the only restaurant that serves good food to the residents of airoli and kalwa. Located at the junction of kalwa and airoli the restaurant serves Indian and Chinese cuisine . However , if u are planning a visit here then you should try the malvan Cuisine . I tried the bombil fry ( without rawa coating ) , prawns and the chicken lolipop . The bombil and the prawns took the center stage completely , with the strong and authentic flavour of Malwan . Taking about the ambience , it's a regular stand alone restaurant with ok looking decor and is moderately priced . Staff is friendly , however the service could have been better .

Malvan Tadka is located on Thane-Belapur road on the ground floor of Shri Krishna Paradise hotel. The interiors of the place is good and is better than that of most other restaurants you will see on that stretch of road. Nonveg over here is just OK, the veg food is simply bland, and the service poor. We asked a waiter for spoons and he literally threw the spoons on our table. The food is priced at 3 star rates and the service given to you is like that you would get at a tapri. The only reason people go here, I believe, is because of lack of other alternatives in the area. Go here at your own peril.

Good atmosphere.... Went there with couple of friends just for a drink. It's a brilliant location for a drink, they have ample of sitting space, having indoor and outdoor section. We choose to sit out, the food was nice.. We enjoyed the drinks with tasty starter's..what we mostly enjoyed is the atmosphere...good place to have an evening drink...

Honestly, I love this place maybe not for the ambience, but Food! Let me share my experience. Being hungry with a group of four (from a nearby IT company), V wanted to eat something really tasty and filling. MT gave us just that. The speed at which the orders came was the best part. We ordered our usual Paneer Satay (Spicy and Yummy) and Chicken Triple Rice with Lollypop. (Gaavti chicken also available). Jeera Rice and Dal Tadka also. All this for a bill of 600 only. (Am sure the same food in a Mall would have been rs.1000+).The good thing about whatever was ordered was that each and everything was tasty and Yummy! If you do not like spicy much, maybe you need to inform them. The taste hence wants to make you go there again and just enjoy the food. Being a neighbour IT company, we got a 10% discount too that was a treat! So guys, all food lovers who are hungry enough and wanna eat at a really reasonable price, Try this place for sure.
