Purely kokani and maharashtrian taste, we took one veg thali and one chicken thali. Both thalis are delicious and unable to finish both due to enough quantity. Solkadi was too good .

Food is good. Authentic Maharashtrian Malvani food. Bit lower on spices. Make sure you ask for spicy food if you are Maharashtrian non-vegetarian food fan. Seafood taste is winner as compared to chicken or mutton. Spicy Chicken Wade is recommended. Any fish fry item as an starter is worth try here. Located in Vashi interiors. 10 min away from railway station and 5 min away from bus station. Avg cost for 2 ppl is approx. 700 (including one starter and main course item with some add-ons). Sitting capacity is bit lesser so you might have to wait for your turn to get in and gorge on the yummy food here. Happy tummy day.

Went to this restaurant today for lunch alone ...reached at 3.30pm(they shut at this time)...only two tables were occupied and they were finishing their lunch....but the staff was courteous enough to let me in..Food was good...had ordered mutton thali(3.5*) and surmai fry(5*)....will surely recommend and visit again....special thanks to the staff and the owner🙏

Mukkam Post Malvan is a boutique air-conditioned seafood restaurant in sector 15-16 market, Vashi. We have been visiting this place since past 4 years and have been enjoying their authentic lip smacking malvani preparations. Their Surmai, Bandga, Pomfret or Bombil fry are a must try. They serve fish thali which is total value for money, it comes with a large steak of fried fish of your choice (Surmai, Pomfret, Bangda), choice of indian bread (rice bhakri, chapati or bhajani vade), fish curry and rice, sundried javla masala, chutney and solkadi. The portions are big enough for a hearty meal. Malvani Kombdi vade (chicken in thick gravy with spiced pooris) is their signature dish and a must try. Other dishes like chicken sukka, mori masala, kolambi bhaat (prawns biryani) and chicken masala are equally good. Their vegetarian preparations are also excellent. Mukkam Post Malvan also provide home delivery in Vashi. Be there on time on weekends as there's lot of rush and waiting of average 15 mins.

If you love to eat seafood mainly fish, then please do visit this place. They serve variety of fish in which Surmai being the best. You can order kombdi Vade with any fish curry and enjoy the heavenly feeling.

We ordered Chicken Thali with Bhakri and Wade, Prawns Fry and Paplet Fry. Freshly cooked and served. Food was very tasty, medium spicy and polite staff. Kids love the painted wallpapers which shows Malvani Culture and Sea Animals.

Omnomnom 😋😋😋 Very nice place for non veg lovers. The real taste of malawan food. We tried chicken, kingfish, Pomfret, Kombadi Wade and special mention is Shimplyachi bhaji. All the items were delicious and absolutely fresh and tender. The ambiance also good here but difficult to arrange for large groups due limited space. Must visit place.

Bad experience! I had asked for home delivery and had ordered Surmai Thali and Chicken Handi with Bhakri. The fish that was delivered was Pomfret fry which was without salt and any masala. The curry in the thali was not pomfret either. Instead it was bangda and the curry had no taste either. (Looks like surmai naseeb me hi nahi tha) <br/>The only good thing was the chicken handi and the solkadi. <br/>I don’t think I’ll be ordering anything in future from this place. <br/>

Went to this place for dinner had Tisrya kalvan which was ok., and Prawns masala which was really goodin taste had that authentic Malvani taste, solkadhi was also ok not that grt. Overall experience was good Food tisrya masala 3/5 and Prawns masala 4/5 solkadhi 3/5

One of the finest malwan taste we got over here. We have tried a fish item as well as asked them for a veg dish.. I was amazed by the sprouted Dal's taste with bhaakri. Haven't tried this combination earlier and I loved it. Ambience is also calm.. that's why it deserve 5 stars... We got relaxing ambiance as well as enjoyable dinner.

An awesome place for malwani recepies. The taste here is quite authentic and the pomfret, crab and prawns were fresh and finger licking in taste. Don't expect a good ambience to hang out but yes a must try for just food👍👍👍

Mukkam Post Malwan had been on my mind since I came across reviews claiming it to be one of the best places to have fish in Vashi. <br/><br/>From the outside, one cannot gauge that it is a family restaurant. But, once inside, you get a different feeling. The seating arrangement is quite limited with about seven 4-seater tables. Beautiful paintings depicting the beauty of Konkan region adorn the walls.<br/><br/>We ordered pomfret thali and kingfish thali along with fried prawns. My usual companion of seafood i.e. fresh lime soda was also present. Thali comprised of rice bhakri, a good piece of fish, dried prawns kismoor or sukat as we call it in Maharashtra, solkadi, fish curry and rice. Pomfret thali had an entire medium sized pomfret. The fried fish was delicious properly coated with masala. The fish curry lacked the taste. The curry had a piece of mackerel which was good. The solkadi had perfect pink color and tangy taste. The sukat was very simple and delicious. Fried prawns was the best part of the lunch. They were perfectly marinated in masala and crisply fried.<br/><br/>Overall, the fish was very tasty and fresh. But, the curry needs to be worked on. The service was quick. Food was OK not good.<br/>As they serve malwani food but what they served its not a proper malwani taste.<br/>Prawns masala the taste was good but not like malwani as it was to watery gravy.<br/>In malvan if you order curry you will get thick coconut n chilly base gravy.<br/>Crab was smelling I think that was not a fresh.<br/>

If you want to try an authentic malwani cuisine in navi mumbai then I bet this is THE PLACE 😋😋 located at sector 15-16 market in vashi. The best part of this restaurant is that everything is served hot and fresh. As soon as you enter the restaurant you will be mesmerized with malvani feel. All the dishses are delicious here but my personal favorite is surmai thaali with tandlachi bhakri ( roti made of rice flour) and bombil fry ( fried bombay duck). The place is quite reasonable with pricing of all the dishes. People working in restaurant welcome you with smile and the total ambience is just too good. I would rate 8 out of 10 to the restaurant ( by the way I have never given 10 out of 10 to any dish except it is coming from my mom's kitchen 😉).<br/>So why are you waiting now... Go and enjoy the malvani experience.

Located at sec 9 vashi, this place is inside a market with a couple of shops on either sides. Since its not on the main road, i accidentally discovered it few days ago and decided to visit it.<br/><br/>The restaurant has few tables and serves home style malvani cuisine. We ordered a mutton and a surmai thali. They served a thin slice of surmai, one bhakri made out of rice, steamed rice and curry with a small piece of fish and dried fish chutney. We also ordered bombil fry which was delicious. The food is tasty. Portions are small. But sufficient for one person.<br/><br/>There a few paintings on the walls of sharks and fisher folks. A collage of film starts who have visited the place is also displayed on one of the walls.<br/><br/>Over-all a good experience. But konkani rassa at belapur is a much better option if u want to taste authentic malvani food.<br/>

Good taste but sadly bad service. Yesterday I visited here for lunch. Ordered Surmai Thali. The waiter only served half of thali and handed me the bill.<br/>He did not serve the rice. Will never visit again.<br/>How can you expect customer to pay complete money and serve half what is beibg ordered.<br/>

I am a seafood lover and whenever I feel like eating it out this place is on the top of my list. the best dish I loved is bombil rawa fry. dey prepare it the bestest way one can. I bet on having it 3 - 4 portions. will definitely revisit as always.

It is very refreshing and keeps your taste buds in their toes (Must try)<br/>✓ Mandeli fry- fresh and crispy. Though it was bit oily, it is worth a try.<br/>✓bombil fry- Tasted really good.<br/>✓Shells masala- cooked in freshly ground spicy masala.<br/>✓Surmai Curry- The curry tasted okayish.<br/>The staff were very helpful with the choice of food and the service was prompt.<br/>Overall I enjoyed my meal. Awesome Malvani cuisine. Chicken thali was very good and Wade along was well prepared. Liver masala was also very good. Surmai fry as a starter gave our lunch good start, it was well prepared too. Extorted me on 06/04/17..for 1 surmai fish thali and fish egg they charged Rs 570. The rate of many items is not displayed in the menu chart, only 'as per size' is displayed which allows them to overcharge.<br/><br/>Food taste is good though. <br/>

A small place for trying out different and tasty sea food..it also provides chicken and mutton. However the quantity of the chicken provided is not much but the taste compensates...definitely a good place for having delicious sea food..

Finally a good malwani restaurant in Vashi. Komdi or the chicken was really well prepared & so was wade or the Masala Puri. The surmai fry was okay compared to the surmai dishes I have tried in many other outlets. Nice ambiance & quick service. A must try !!

Decent food however service is pathetic, personal at billing counter is arrogant and rude. Be aware they charge you for stuff you have not eaten and raise their voices when you comprehend them. Good is too good. U will truly enjoy the taste of malwan. Try bombil fry with green chutney also try komdi vade. Prawns items are ok. Pls request them to put salt according to your need as they put less.

I have been here a couple of times with family. I must say their dishes are very delicious and giving you a treat of pure malvan foods. Their prawns, wade are my favorite. It is reasonably priced too. For the people who have come down to vashi, who love to have non-veg food esp. sea food.. this is one place you should try out.
