Review Malvani Days - Navi Mumbai

Excellent place to quench your thirst for Konkani Food. They offer everything from veg food, chicken, mutton, fish, crab, prawns. The quantity of food was good and the taste was very nice. They do justify the price tag and serve thali which will make your stomach full. We tried Mutton Thali, Surmai Thali, Prawns Thali and Veg thali. There's nothing to complain about except service could be a bit faster. I would recommend this place.

The staff and owner are really polite and genuinely greet their customers. All sea food starters are great. I like pomplet fry and bombil fry. In main course I ate prawn masala and chicken masala. Both had fresh coconut based curry. The quantity of prawns in curry was less than expected. But the taste was superb. Also jowar bhakari is a must try. Quick service.

We had Fish and crab thali delicious, crab thali is more fulfilled you must try it. In start we had crab soup which okay okay, then in starter we had bombil stuffed fry which was good in test. Before ordering they provide you with nachani papad and bitroute chatani which most delicious. Must visit resturant for seafood.

Delicious variety of seafood ! A treat for seafood lovers at a very reasonable cost. Must visit place in Kharghar ! I enjoyed the pomfret thali . For pure vegetarian persons not much to offer as special Malvani thali.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of visiting Malvani Days in Kharghar for a party hosted by Dr. Akshay & Dr. Supriya, joined by our entire family. We indulged in the delightful Chicken and Seafood Thali, along with some scrumptious vegetarian dishes. The ambience was charming, and the food was absolutely fabulous. The staff exhibited politeness, and the service was swift. It's a must-visit place, especially for those who appreciate non-vegetarian and seafood delicacies. Highly recommended!

Malvani Days........ A cozy restaurant in Kharghar... Perfect place for fish lovers and non vegetarians..Once you enter the restaurant you get a feel of Rural Malvan...A modern feel of welcoming shack just next to the beach with a homely touch.. Polite staff and the owner Mr Tushar Pukale are lovely hosts..Mouth watering Fish delicacies along with soulful Solkadhi makes your heart smile..A special mention for Kothimbir vadi and Ukadiche Modak especially for the Vegetarians. So when in mood for tasty Konkan cuisine,it's MALVANI DAYS.

Started off with golden fry prawns and crab lollipop/cutlet. Both were amazing and off the charts. The chutneys they gave were fresh and well made to punch. Ordered all kadhi and bombil thali along with tiny fish thali, forgot the Marathi name for it. Both had good quantity and evidently it was too much for 2 of us. Would recommend 1 starter and 2 thalis as apt quantity.

This place serves good variety of malvani food. They give complementary nachni papad with beetroot chutney. We tried bombil rava masala fry, surmai fry for starters. Bombil was too good nice crispy and juicy. Surmai was perfectly marinated. They serve all starters on a banana leaf along with beetroot chutney which has nice tangy flavour. For main course we ordered bhakri, javla and prawns biryani. Bhakri was soft and fresh. Javla was also tasty. Prawns biryani was awesome and the quantity is sufficient for 4 people. They give good amount of prawns. They have perfect ambience with indoor ac seating.

A very good restaurant in Kharghar for non-veg lovers. One of the best in Navi Mumbai. We tried pomfret thali, mutton sukka, Wade, crab soup and prawns biryani. Mutton sukka with bhakri was delicious. Their prawns biryani and crab soup are must try items.

Two times in less than 7 days. That's how good this place is. Ticks all the right boxes for food ambience and service. Don't expect lavish fine fine but it is exactly like how à gomantak eatery should be. Nice and clean with amazing decor and good fresh food. The menu is simply extensive in terms of malvani 'jevan' (meal). There's something for everyone. The thali spread is also very good withultiple options. Tr he a la carte section will appease veggies and non veggies alike. And the portion size is just about right for most people I think. The catch is fresh and reasonably priced in the middle. 5he cooking is very unlike your homes or hotel and is devoid of heavy spices and oils making it a pleasure to bite into and relish it. Meal for two with a pomfret thali surmai thali bottled water and bombil fry came to 1400 for two with the pomfret thali being priced at 660. You will enjoy the decor and since we tend to reach before meal time rush start getting a place is never a problem. Washroom facilities are on site and service is with a smile and not overbearing. Overall a very happy experience with me turning into a returning customer.

My fav Malvani restaurant. Always a great experience!! Abhijit is a great server, he was very attentive polite. I love there crab soup and shrimp biryani!!! ( I forgot to take picture of the Biriyani )

A really well crafted restaurant at Kharghar serving the best of coastal cuisine. On entering the restaurant a sodden boat hanging from the ceiling caught my attention. I straight away decided on Surmai Thali and gulped on it. The food was delicious and the manager came and spoke and checked on our feedback. Absolutely loved the experience, surely coming back again

The restaurant offers lots of variety of seafood, non veg items it is known for non-veg only. But the cost is high. If you are looking for a good seafood option this is the place you can try. I tried chicken biryani and pomfret curry. Biryani is okay not that great, but the pomfret curry was good but a little bitter test the size of the fish is smaller cover to price.

Great Seafood options. Good taste. Prawns, Bombil is a must try. Fish thali's are the best.

Best place for Seafoods and Non Veg in Kharghar..

I ordered Chicken Thali it was good and tasty. Specially that kokam chetney was mast and tangy. A proper malvani cusine food I ate.<br/>Solkadi was not that good it was tasting like a water. But chicken sukka was tasty and even curry was good and tasty much recommend if ur malvani cusine lover.<br/>Chicken Thali -4/5

This was our first visit here. We tried Surmai, Ravas and Prawns Thali. All were great. It's a nice family place. I would definitely recommend this to all. And will be a regular here.

Horrible food . They use same curry for every dish...Also waiting time for food to be ready is 1 hour. Service is very slow . The quality of food is horrible .

We happened to chance upon this place when searching for nearby restaurants on Google maps. The place is quite popular and has air-conditioning. The staff is friendly and helpful. They helped us choose the thali. Quite a range of food is available on the menu. Food was tasty and very authentic tasting of Malvani cuisine. We will come back here for sure.

Ambience is good. Surmai thali was good. Would have been more better if they add prawns masala instead of sukat. Should increase the portion of solkadi in thali. Also solkadi needs little improvement. Clamps masala and prawns masala was tastier. Rice bhakri was soft and tastier. Overall nice experience.

Yummy food, great ambience, polite staff, good knowledge of what they are serving. Must try stuff pomfret, Kombdi wada with chicken masala dry, with desert like Maharashtraian style Ukdi chey modak.....

One of the best Malvani food I have eaten in Mumbai so far. Service is also very good. Staff is also very polite. Do try stuffed bombils, kothambir vade when you plan to visit.

This place serves one of the best seafood I've had in restaurants.<br/>They have a variety of thalis. Right from veg to non veg (chicken & seafood). Also if you love seafood then you gotta try their stuffed bombil. Minced prawns tossed in masala and stuffed in Bombil (Bombay duck) and then deep fried .<br/>Their regular bombil fry is delicious too. Not too crispy, nor too soggy.<br/>Also don't forget to try alu vadi, kothimbir vadi too. Really tasty<br/><br/>PS - the chutneys they serve with appetizers, made with coconut and amsul is lip smacking

Sea-food dishes are authentic Malwani style & tasty. Esp.Pomfret fry, bombil fry, mini fish platter, solkadi.<br/>Chicken/mutton dishes or biryanis are average. Ambience is simple & fine.

Well, me and my friend (Eshita Sengupta) was just in mood for some Malvani flavour because of the rains. And to be frank, this place was way beyond our expectations. We started with Prawns koshimbir and had a thali each. The flavour, the aroma was perfect. Neither too hard and strong, nor too mild. If you love malvani food, this is the place to be at

The real taste of Malvani food right here in kharghar.. i just felt like i visited Konkan with these mouthwatering dishes... the Mandeli fry was above average Tasty... we ordered for Rawas thali with rice bhakri and chicken thali with vada.. the taste was awesome, Quantity and Quality too well maintained, a definitely must visit place for sea food lovers!!

Nice place, amazing service and decent food. Little expensive but it is worth trying atleast for once and especially for those who love Konkani food. Overall it’s a decent place to have dinner once in a while.

Truly authentic and tasty Maharashtrian food. The greatest menu for seafood. Tasted the fish thali and keema pav, along with aam panna. Refreshing and satisfying! Must try the sea shells!

Honestly one of the best sea food I ever had.<br/>Had surmai and rawas thali along with bombil fry (the tastiest) and also crab masala (mouth watering) A must try resturant if you're a sea food lover.

Good place. Nice Ambience. Fish was also fresh. We ordered for Prawns Thali,Halwa Thali,Promfret Thali,Bangda Thali and Chicken Liver Dry. It was very tasty. Staff is also very friendly. The Kokam Chutney was also very authentic. Will love to visit this place again. This place is what kharghar wanted from very long time.

My all time favourite place to visit whenever I would like to have thali. It serves an authentic Malvani cuisines. I do visit this place once in a month😉 once I tried veg thali here with my vegetarian friend..she loved the thali very much. I had tried every thali here with my family mutton thali chicken thali surmai thali prawns thàli egg thali kothimbir vadi kombadi vade solkadi etc..we had kharvas for desert. Kharvas taste and texture was delicious😋 it's my all time favourite desert. I'll rate this place service, food taste and ambiance are 5/5. I highly recommend this place to everyone.. especially who wants to try non-vegetarian thali

My quench for some great Home style Fish preparations ended here at the Malvani Days... It serves some great dishes espl thalis that u can relate too if your a hard core Maharashtrian or Konkan or even a Fish lover for that matter... The best part is they make sure everything is fresh espl the Fish, No wonder me & my family look forward to have food there everytime we have fish cravings... From prawns to pomfret to crabs to clams all taste simply delicious... A must visit for all Fish lovers hope they don't let us down with quality or taste in near future..

Worst quality and taste. Ordered chicken sukkha, but it was full with gravy, full with salt, terrible taste. Also ordered chicken hundy, it was like small chicken pieces into boiled water. Avoid this restaurant.

After shifting to Mumbai this was the first place I visited to have sea food and since then it's my favorite. Money spent over here is worth it and taste is undoubtedly best.

A friend invited me over to this wonderful place. Seafood here as fresh as you can get. We ordered bombil fry, their famous prawns thali and chicken thali. Prawns and bombil were excellent, chicken could have been better. Masalas of sukkha and gravy were spot on along with accompaniments. It's a must try place for any malvani food fan or happens to passby kharghar.

Was searching since long for a Good Malwani Cuisine restaurant in Navi Mumbai and I can say it now that I found something Awesome and Worth it....!!!<br/>Been here on a Sunday afternoon with family, was early (12.45pm) so got lucky to have seating immediately.<br/>It's location is easily accessible (Beside Hotel Royal Tulip) with ample parking space.<br/>The interior decorations would literally take you to Konkan, they have a mini boat hung from the ceiling and many other things. Seating is limited to 8-9tables which means you will have to be prepared for waiting if you reach here at peak hours of lunch or dinner.<br/>Coming to food we ordered Bombil Fry(Bombay Duck) and Alu-Wadi for Starters. Special mention here; they greet you with fried papad of two variety as a welcome starter which tastes very good complimentary.<br/>Bombil Fry had 5 full Bombils and came with Green Pudina Chutney and a Dark Pink Kokam Chutney which you would not find anywhere else. I think only they serve this chuntey and is their specialty. It was just Awesome....... requested them to get it 2 more times....😋😋😍<br/>Alu Wadi was brought a bit late but it was definitely worth the wait. 7 Big Pieces with perfect spices, just loved it to the core.<br/>Both Bombil Fry and Alu Wadi were great in Taste and portion to as per the price. All amoung us loved their Alu-Wadi the most. Must try for all.<br/>In Main course we had Surmai Fry (Medium), Tisrya Masala (Shells), Chicken Shuka, Rice and Jowar Bhakri,Chappati and Vade.<br/>Surmai Fry was fried to perfection, worth full marks. Shells Masala too wasn't bad, it had perfect flavors. Shells need to be washed throughly before preparation as they contains sand filled in them. But here they had washed it perfectly.<br/>Chicken Shuka had 4pieces of chicken and had less salt in it which was compensated by available over the table salt. Both Bhakris, Chappati and Vade too weren't disappointing either. I personally loved that taste of Vade. Fried to perfection.<br/>To end we ordered Sol Kadi and Sweet-Salty Lime Soda which too very equally good.<br/>I was so grossed in the food that I totally forget to click pictures, won't take it next time for sure.<br/>I would recommend you that when in and around Kharghar don't ever miss this place for Lunch or Dinner. They won't disappoint you. Definitely bring a smile on your face. Worth Trying.<br/>I plan to explore more of their dishes soon.<br/>Get this on your list soon....<br/>Happy Eating....😄

Better than most malvani restaurants in Navi Mumbai. Food here is great, like really great. The ambience and everything else is great too. The pricing is affordable. Just if you guys could reduce the seating time that would be great. 5stars as I said. #malvanifood #fish #navimumbai.

Ordered a mutton thali, kombdi vade , prawn masala and rice bhakris. We requested for Jwari bhakris but we're told they are not available. And the very next moment the table besides us was giving orders for jwari bhakris and they seemed to have it . When we pointed this out we were told the cook has started making some just now. Anyways coming to the thalis, the mutton was beautifully cooked. Soft and melt of the bone and very flavourful broth. The Vadas were well made too soft and crisp at the same time . Delicious . The prawn masala was stellar. The prawns were not rubbery but they were huge and quite juciy and the Curry was yum. they served a kokum chutney in the thali which was lip smacking. Over all the food was 10/10 and very reasonable for such a satisfying tummy filling share. Highly recommend this place.

I wanted to visit this place from many days... But couldn't make it, today I got a chance to go there..<br/>Ambience is very nice... You will feel like seating in small hut in some konkan village, but the fact is only the ambience is like that, food was average in taste. Not so good not so bad. You can go there once to fulfill your taste buds. We ordered chicken thali(chicken sukha, chicken gravy, chapati and a small bowl of sol curry) and surmai thali(surmai fry, surmai gravy,chapati rice etc) pls note if you want to have rice bhakri or konkani fried wade they give you, they charge you something for that, fair enough. And a bangda fish fry..they give u some rice fried papad to munch before you get your food, that is the nice gesture( surmai and bangda fry was very tasty) rest food was average. I was feeling like eating typical marathi style fish and saw this place on zomato.<br/><br/>We ordered for Pomfret Thali & Prawns thali.<br/>Really worth the money. Its was for Rs. 400/- each.<br/>We replaced chapatis with Tandalachi bhakri & Vade. (ADD 25/-)<br/><br/>Specially prawns thali was good as it had more varaity - prawns curry was really tasty.<br/><br/>Plus I also ordered for Medium Surmai fish fry. So, I would say that this place is a big YES! Malvani Days is nothing but absolute delight for the taste at such reasonable rates.. everything about the ambience, taste and quality exhibits authenticity. The staff is courteous and attentive at all times making it a comfortable experience for you. We being a big circle of hogger friends ordered a lot of variety from fish to mutton to chicken to even the vegetarian dishes. <br/>All the meat was freshly slow cooked and well-seasoned. The gravy and curries were simply fiery. Even though it was hard to decide amongst all the dishes, I personally relished the Fish platter the most! The fishes were grilled in all the Konkani traditional exotic spices.. the taste and tenderness warranted for a fresh catch with no compromise on the quality.<br/>And to have the cherry on the top, the Gulab jamun and Basundi were so melting and mouth- watering.. soooo, this happy stomach gives a thumps up to this flavorsome restaurant !

If you are want have a authentic Malvani(Konkani)meal this is the best place to visit with your friends and family.The ambience is average,they have dim light seating as it is good for couples but conjusted for familys.The food is really good, typical malvani food one would like.The starters are really good & the thalis which are the signature dishes are really well balanced as they taste really authentic,the reason for giving it 3 is that there a long wait for your order & the seating is also conjusted, taste wise 👌,overall 3/5

If you love authentic cuisines, this place will leave no stones unturned to give you the experience of an authentic malvani household. It’s a small, cosy restaurant located in Kharghar that serves malvani cuisine. We tried the kothimbir vadi which had a different texture. The sesame seed coating added to texture and the flavour. It had a coarse texture and was served along with mint and kokam chutney. We had ordered a chicken thali for the main course which had soul kadhi, jowar bhakri, chicken sukka, masala chicken curry and kokam chutney with a serving of rice. The soul kadhi was actually a treat for the soul! We had kharvas for dessert which is made from cow’s milk. Been here last weekend! ordered for shrikand Puri & chicken thali. Shrikand puri was delightful! While chicken thali gave a balance of malvan taste with it's tatseful contents! If you want to have sea good this is the best place in kharghar. Especially very good for family outings. With a very malvani decor👍. Staff is very friendly n attentive there was not a single time that the staff was not available for us. A small cozy place.. with tasty food especially for fish. <br/>The ambiance is quite cute with small little authentic Maharashtrain things used in our kitchens like jaata, Pata varvanta and many more. It reminded me of my childhood when my grandmum and mum used it all in our kitchen.<br/>They serve nachni and rice papad as free starters along with kokam chutney. This combo goes really well. <br/>The restaurant serves thali as well as single items. <br/>We had ordered Paaya soup, bombil fry and pompfret fry for starters. <br/>Bombil fry was crispy with very little oil. So was the pompfret. It is served with kokam chutney which was quite different and yummy. <br/>For main course we preferred different thalis chicken: chicken sukka and gravy<br/>Prawns: 2 pieces of prawns fry, prawns sukkha and prawns gravy<br/>mutton: mutton sukka and gravy <br/>surmai: a medium size piece of fish and gravy <br/>shells: shells sukkha and gravy<br/>pompfret: full pompfret fry and pompfret gravy<br/>There are options of chapati, bhakri (jowar & rice), ghavan, amboli. Having such a wide variety we preferred to order one of everything available. And trust me the bhakris were amazingly made, Soft, light and perfect. <br/>There was also a cup of solkadhi (made out of kokam and coconut milk), javalyachi chutney and rice. Almost every item was mouth watering and fulfilling. <br/>The food portions are quite good for an average adult. Food is not spicy also not very oily. <br/>All in all it's a good, pocket friendly and clean place to enjoy good tasty authentic malvani cuisine. Fish eaters will surely love this place.

The mai thing vry Disappointing was the AC was not working . It was vry Hot inside . We settled on our table and ordered for #TisriaThali(Shells Thali) & #MoriMasalaThali(SharkMasalaThali) . By the time it was gettung prepared they served us Fryems (Fried Papad) they didnt keepnus waiting for the food. Ordered 2 chicken thali, the curry was bland and the sukka was not upto the mark. Looked like boiled chicken were put in the gravy. The quality of Chapati, bhakri and Vade were good. Decor and service is good. Looks like you can only enjoy seafood here.

We ordered mandeli fry, mutton thali and fish thali. Mutton thali was full of fat pcs and no mutton pcs. The fish thali had mutton bone. We showed it to the cashier and he vanished from the hotel. I shall not recommend.

Thats how we came across this place Malvani days close to our house at Kharghar. <br/><br/>Read a mixed review but thought of giving it a shot.<br/><br/>We ordered only 2 dishes :<br/><br/>1) Stuff Bombil - Bestest i ever had. Loved the taste. Not too oily, perfect spice.<br/><br/>2) Rawas Fish Curry : They are 5 on 5 on the aunthentic malvani fish curry taste. Only bit missing was the salt. Chef conveniently forgot to add salt but we had no complaints as added as per our taste and it turned out amazing, just the way we like. Quantity was sufficient for 3 of us 2 adults and 1 kid.<br/><br/>For food and taste I give 5/5.<br/><br/>Overall 4.5 for the missing salt and the packing. Didnt look presentable the way container was wrapped in polythene.
