Review Indian Accent - New Delhi

Vaibhav Gupta
Delightful experience. The place has been rated highly and well deserves the appreciation and recognition. The staff is cordial, well aware and helpful. The food quality, presentation and the serving standards are high. Steep on the pricing side. The seating is comfortable and nice water body effect in view. The reason I dropped a star here was due to a highly noisy-annoying other table customer, same informed to the manager for future guests comfort, and other reason was the difficulty in reservation. Overall, a highly recommended and must visit place. The tasting menu is well curated.

Nice entry to India.we reserved a few weeks before we arrived in India. The food is nice but not so much different than good Indian restaurants in other countries. Probably a bit overrated.

Outstanding in every way. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service, and the food was as delicious as it was beautiful! We had no idea of the affiliation with their NYC sister restaurant by the same name, so that was super cool to discover. This is a gem and should not be missed. We got the Chef's Tasting menu, and I highly recommend it!!

This was on my list since many years and it lived up to the hype. We had a mix of a-la-carte and chefs tasting menu. Everything on the menu and whatever we ordered was fantastic. Great presentation and great taste. The service was simply excellent. They gave us a wrong dish by mistake and made it complimentary for us since they had placed the food on the table. Highly recommended!

Amazing! The restaurant interior is stunning. I did the non-vegetarian dinner with wine pairings and every dish was equally beautiful and delicious. This is one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend!

This must be one of the finest Indian restaurants in Delhi. Presentation exquisite and innovative, although based on traditional dishes and street food. See the photos for some idea of the creativity . Everything tasted delicious, difficult to leave anything even once full. Great selection of vegetarian and vegan options which i loved . Staff are professional, efficient , friendly and helpful explaining all the names of the Indian dishes. Still salivating and look forward to visiting when we return to Delhi, I wouldnt bother looking anywhere else for an incredible dining experience , Thanks to all the team at Indian Accent for a wonderful evening

Great dining experience I ever had. Booked a table for 4 with my family and we all enjoyed their food. Service was also kind and their 6course meal was just outstanding. I loved all the items we had and was a treat to my taste buds. Must try and worth it.

The food was truly delicious. The attention to detail as you can see in the pictures attached. There was 3 of us and we each got the non veg chef's tasting menu. At the end of the meal the head chef came out and talked to us and answered any questions we had. Truly an amazing experience and I would 100% recommend this place. If I'm ever in deli again I will visit this place for sure.

Amazing food, amazing fusion, great service. Such simple recipes but so elegantly taken to the next level. A wonder experience. In 2 words: SIMPLy STUPENDOUS.
Kevin Skinner
A wonderful meal; inventive dishes and good service. 100 layer paneer, was exquisite… Some knowledge of the wine list would have been helpful.
Daniel Marcet
Amazing experience in India. You can try typical street foods with a modern twist and great service. We had the non veg chef tasting menu and paid $70 per person including drinks. Really recommend experience.

The food was definitely a tasty one with some flavors we've never had before. It made it more special with the wine tasting menu we chose. A must visit if you're vacationing or staying at the Lodhi hotel. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

Amazing experience. We booked a table for 7 and got the prime location at the restaurant. We are in a very private area with only 2 tables, glass walls and water all around us. Service was excellent, food was great, cocktails were amazing and best of all “daulat ki chaat”. They also happily accommodated dietary restrictions some folks had in our group

The food was great. A bit too spicy for my western palette both in terms of the amount and complexity of spices used and in terms of hotness (spicy crab salad was indeed spicy) but in general an amazing eating experience. Service was 6 stars out of 5. The signature dessert was simply spectacular.
Andrew Tan
Great food & service for a good price! The chef's tasting menu was delicious and the staff were kind enough to replace one of my toppled dish items too. The crab was honestly one of my favourite dishes of the night :P

Beautiful ambience, great tasting food! The chef’s tasting menu was awesome and service was great! The booking is a little tough nut to crack and the walk in just takes a lot of waiting time if it is a weekend..! Enjoyed the sliced mushroom and spinach stuffed Indian bread… Price is on the higher side as expected from a restaurant on the world map!
First Last
Great modern Indian food. The prices are a bit high, especially the alcohol. The design of the restaurant is a little strange as it's divided into glass sections so you don't really get a nice atmosphere, although some people might prefer it as more secluded/private.
Jenna Gidalevitz
Outstanding restaurant! Great ambience, great service, and great food. We did the veg tasting menu and I would highly recommend the wine pairing as well. Each tasting course was creative and super small but we were still very full by the end of the meal!

Let me break my experience into 3 high level categories. 1. Ambience- 5*. perfect for a dinner/lunch date. Ask for the table with a view. Or outside near the pond(sorts) 2. Service- 5*. The service was the best and the servers and support staff were very courteous. 3. Food- 5*. Going there is more of an experience of tasting some amazing varieties of food. The Chef’s choice menu is a good start if you are going there for the first time. pics attached of the various delicacies The last was the bill which is actually expensive. 17 grands for 3 - (without alcohol). So this is more of an experience you should go for. Worth trying once.

Dining at Indian Accent is an experience to remember for a long time. It was our wedding anniversary and we are glad we chose to dine at this restaurant. Whether it’s the taste of the dishes, or the presentation or the impeccable service, everything was exceptional. Not surprising at all that they are listed among the top 50 restaurants in the world. I hope they become the first restaurant in India to get a Michelin star as well. After deliberating on the menu for a while, we decided to go for the chef’s tasting menu and we are glad we did so. The six course degustation style meal was one of the best we have ever had in any restaurant. The amuse-bouche and the palette cleanser were exceptional too. They were happy to customise the dishes according to our dietary requirements. I decided to have the baked fish instead of mutton for one of the courses and it was extra ordinary. The fish was perfectly cooked. It almost melted in the mouth. I would have liked a tiny bit more coconut flavour in the chettinad chicken keema. But it’s just nit-picking. The dish was great nevertheless. While booking the table, I had mentioned to them over the phone that it was our wedding anniversary. They remembered that and our desert platter had a candle and a message to wish us. It was certainly a very nice gesture. Needless to say the staff were very friendly and attentive without being annoying. We are looking forward to dining there again. Although it is not their fault, being unable to serve alcohol because of the changed law, is a bit of a disadvantage for them. No wine at a fine dining restaurant is bit of a miss. I hope they find some sort of a work around.

The service and the ambience was very good..we ordered the chefs tasting menu and it was fantastic..they even offered to change a few dishes as per our liking.. .loved the dal makhani and the Palak paneer naan and the soya roomali starter...would recommend them to increase the portion size though... also didn’t like thee beet root starter much ... must visit place for all 😊

We went here for my mother's birthday. Firstly, we were seated and kept waiting for 10-15min for an order to be placed. The staff was very rude and not at all friendly. We had also requested something special from their side for my mum to which they had agreed, they got a desert from their menu and to my shock it was included in the bill (we had ordered another desert for us as well. Usually, in other restaurants, they put a candle on the desert we order and celebrate, which we would have been fine with), but this instance was very shallow and quite disgusting. Also, when i went to remind the manager of my mums birthday, he was quite rude and said that if you order some desert we'll put a candle on it, if you dont order we'll have to think about it. Apart from this the food was very tasty though and presentation was also very good. But such instances don't really leave a good memory behind and spoil your whole experience. I would recommend this place for food, but if it's some special day of yours don't do the mistake of going here. Just to let you know, we didn't want any free cake or desert from your end, so please don't humiliate your customer like this.

Excellent experience from the begging to the end and everything in the middle, amazing food and service, this restaurant should be at the top 10 of the best restaurants of the world not only on the best 100 restaurants of the world!!

Place one should visit, if you are into fine dining this can be your next stop! soups and Mushroom Kulcha, I found delicious. One should try!

Lovely place yaar.... Excellent taste ... Der r all dishes are perfect.. The freshness of the ingredients can be felt as you into the roll. The taste of the perfectly baked pesto in the oven was just divine. Very limited people in delhi can make proper pesto for der pasta . ... Ambience was too good.. Must try dal moradabadi, kashmiri walnut paneer, wild mushroom kulcha, old monk rum ball.....

Indian Accent greeted really well, serving us Mushroom Shorba while we were selecting what to order. I ordered Butter Chicken Naan, it was too amazing. The staff was very courteous, everything was served well. This Modern Indian twist was way beyond my expectations. <br/>Want to know more about my experience? It was a while back, a birthday dinner. Appetisers were a joke, if I would eat this in a regular less fancy restro I wouldn’t be complaining. But if I’m paying a bunch for this kinda food then its pathetic. One of the appetiser was literally fryums with some aloo stuffing I believe. The only worthwhile food we enjoyed was the blue cheese naan and soup in the beginning. It had lovely flavours. <br/>The Indian taco they served was anything but exciting, flavour wise. Rest was just average, definitely not worth the hype. <br/>The service was also disappointing, too many servers moving around but not prompt with our requests. We Were kept waiting for a while. Even the drinks we ordered was disappointing. <br/>I expected a more top notch - exotic experience

One of the best place in Delhi - NCR, great ambiance with delicious foods, must try all food lover.

One of the best place in Delhi for fine dining. Being a vegetarian who isn’t fond of coconut, I could observe that almost all the dishes at least in vegetarian chef’s special tasting menu had a touch of coconut in it. So that can be lowered down. Otherwise everything else was great.

We visited this restaurant last night (07.11.13). This is one of the most delicious Indian meals we have ever eaten. The menu is extensive and varied and caters for all tastes of Indian cuisine. We had the tandoori platter(not sure) (for 2) to start and this was absolutely delicious
Basudeb Biswas
It’s India’s #1 restaurant for 6 consecutive years for a reason. Everything was perfect, and #BeyondPerfect was the Chilli Crab Sago Pongal and Peanuts. A must-try restaurant, if you can manage to get a reservation, that is!

Well, i have always wanted to experience Indian Accent because i had heard so much about it but it turned all nothing but hype. We went in a group of 5. <br/><br/>Bad things - The food is fancy but not even near to authentic indian tastes. Lot of tomatoes in every dish which made them sweeet which we didnt expect. Service was way slow. <br/><br/>Good things - ambience and the Puchkas. Liked them. <br/><br/>Thanks for having us Indian Accent team

3 Course Menu @ Indian Accent, Lodhi Road, Delhi<br/><br/>Taste - 5, Quantity - 4, Quality - 5, Hygiene - 5, Service - 5, Ambiance - 5, Price - Expensive<br/><br/>Verdict - Must Eat This<br/><br/>Indian Accent is the restaurant by coveted celebrity chef - Manish Mehrotra. This restaurant in New Delhi has brought quite number of accolades to contemporary Indian food. This is the only restaurant from India on the World’s 100 Best list since 2015 and being awarded the Best Restaurant in India by Asia’s 50 Best for last 4 years. Recently, it got its presence in New York in 2016 and in London in 2017. So we had to visit this place some day and what could be better than the occasion of our wedding anniversary.<br/><br/>We chose their 3 course menu (vegetarian) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The epic food journey started with cute little Blue Cheese Naan for the starters.<br/><br/>Then we got our hands on 'Chowpatty in a bowl'. This had a bed of tangy and spicy bhaji with a small crispy bowl with delicious chaat in it. On top sits, the cute and crispy tempered Ricotta Vada. Accompanying the dish were tiny pao smeared in kafir lime butter poked in skews. The dish had a burst of flavors while balancing the ethnicity of street Pao Bhaji.<br/><br/>To neutralize the taste buds for the next dish, we were served little anar and churan kulfi sorbet. What made it more beautiful were the small cookers in which they were served.<br/><br/>Next there was Rajasthani ker sangri flavored paneer in smoked papad ki curry. There were paneer discs with layers of scrambled paneer in the flavor of rajasthani local ker sangri. The preparation was poured with a smoked papad ki curry preparation which had a strong earthy smoked flavor. The curry was enjoyed with naan and tandoori roti.<br/><br/>It was time for desserts. From the options we chose - Badam Halwa pie. This pie had a base of desi badam halwa with a mixture of almond flakes in honey and caramelised berries. The halwa was too good in taste and texture. The pie was served with a side of fresh cranberries and cheeni malai ice cream.<br/><br/>Then came the hero from the streets of old Delhi - Daulat ki Chaat. This might sound like another savory snack to you but this is a magical dessert authentically from Delhi. Hold your hearts steady, this is made from the foam of milk and cream and topped with nuts. Daulat ki chaat felt so uniquely light yet the flavors were in abundance. Raspberry aloo chips and vanilla bean icecream was served to complement this.<br/><br/>To complete the Indian fine dining experience - we got Rewari and Aam Papad on a cute little cot or charpai to remind us of our childhood.<br/><br/>The whole meal was satisfying and amazingly fulfilling. All the recipes were uniquely twisted yet had that authentic Indian flavors. Kudos to the chef and his team for giving us this memorable experience. What else to say - Must Eat This.<br/><br/>#musteatthis #delhi #saadidilli #delhincr #delhieats #indianaccent #moleculargastronomy #modernindian #kersangri #paobhaji #halwa #daulatkichaat #fusion #experience #unforgettable #iconic #concept #foodblogger #foodgasm #foodporn #craving

Location, ambience, staff, decor, I don't think you can find fault with anything here. Cherry on the cake is the fact that the food is simply delicious. Whether it is the pesto paneer or the good old tadka vegetables, you will find the flavours bursting in your mouth!

I went to this restaurant and found it quite good..we have ordered jackfruit tacos, crispy potato chaat, pao bhaji and Palak paneer kulcha along-with Sangria. I must say taste is just like homely food and was good but the portion size was too less which means 1 person needs to order 2 or 3 dishes to have a full meal. Food was amazing , staff was amazing and courteous and very professional too. But if you are planning to go with your children below 10 years, so forget it because they will not allow children below 10 years, it’s against their policy. It’s a bit expensive according to the quantity offered.

Very warm hearted people. Excellently innovative and delicious food. Amazing cocktails. As simple as whiskey sour, is perfected by them. They leave no some unturned. All boxes ticked, including wallet which empties itself. But worth the trouble.

It was an amazing experience.

Must visit, was in my bucket list and planned to have Valentine's day lunch here. Alot written about this place so will not get into the details but yes, the food is worth the price. This is not the usual neighborhood dhaba where i would stroll every other week but yea... a place where i would take my loved one on special occassions... cheers !!

Been here with my bae for our anniversary lunch. We have had a great culinary experience. The menu is beautifully curated, food is prepared, presented & served with heart & soul. Thank you to the chef’s Manish & Shantanu Mehrotra and there team for this nostalgic experience.
Smriti
The execution is perfect and the pricing is crucial for indian market... my long request to chef Manish is to have a premium menu like a 10 k price tag which gives them more freedom and sourcing and to innovate and bring in some sophistication to our dining experience.... with the limitation in price tag and supplies of products in our indian market especially delhi ncr they are doing a remarkable job to consistently run a restaurant with a hearty meal and a 60$ price tag worthy of a Michelin dining. So to all who read this go and enjoy the experience of a Michelin dining in India... and those who prefer quantity over quality- sorry

The Lady Who Reviews
This place will stay with you for the longest time. The chef's menu is a delight to both eyes and taste. The chef takes the simplest of ingredients to another level with his inventiveness. It is modern, contemporary and all that jazz, but what stood out was the hospitality that the customers feel here. As always, I would state, the dining experience is incomplete, rather has the potential to ruin even the best of gastronomical experience, if you do not feel at calm, invited, and fed with care. Indian Accent scored for me on all grounds possible- taste of food, visual delights, ambience. It made the wintry sun even more delightful. Looking forward to dine under the starry night soon.

very good food I had to sell my kidneys to eat it though, but it was all worth it as no kidneys mean the juices will stay inside me much longer.

Place is in so much demand that for getting reservation you must be lucky. Tried the chef tasting menu with wine. The food was yummy. Best I had in recent time.

A fine dine place with a modern version of Indian cuisine. The ambience is classy. The restaurant is absolutely amazing. All the courses were tasty, especially starters and the presentation is also good. The service here is littel bit slow but staff is courteous. Overall an amazing experience.
Amtoj Singh
The only thing good about the place is the ambience nothing else. Items are insanely high priced and even after starters being priced at 1000 rupees one expects the price to be inclusive of taxes but that was'nt so and costed 1400 to 1500. After paying such an exorbitant amount the portions were very very tiny. Coming to the taste I think the cuisine caters more to the Foreigners than the Indian Pallet. Like the signature Blue Cheese Naan Blue Cheese is bitter in taste and I don't think that made sense stuffing it in a naan. Also serving it to customers first up just ruins the taste of your mouth making it bitter. It might be good for someone having it with Wine but definitely not something to start your meal with. The other dishes were also the same story small portions weird taste by mixing too many foreign ingredients and taking away the original taste. In all a place one must not visit
Janki Mehta
Excellent choice of Indian cuisine with contemporary twist. Loved each and every dish on the tasting menu. Great hospitality. Quite pricey, but worth experiencing once

Good interior. Wonderful decoration. A place which is best for family outing & Food obviously. They served the best quality food with lots of variety. Their platters are really delicious and fulfilling yet very reasonable. Moreover, the staff is very prompt and hospitable. I highly recommend anyone to go visit this place. Loved their ecstatic ambiance and cordial hospitality. Ensuring the hygiene issues they become one of the best out of the crowd. Wish them good luck!

The experience is something that will stay with you a long time! Indian Accent delivers. We were a table of 4, with two set lunches and two of us ordering a la carte. The food, to be honest, was very good without really bowling us over. The presentation, the variety and the service really elevated the experience, however. <br/>Both the options were quite exciting to be honest. The green lentil amuse bouche was a well balanced warm offering to set us on course. With many very interesting dishes, having varied tastes and textures, some just stood out. <br/>The gucchi or morel Mushroom starter (morel musallum) was a stunner, with perfectly juicy morel hiding beautiful spices with hint of ajwain and jeera on a bed of light creamy sauce, accompanied by complimentary Parmesan crisps.<br/>A simple soy boti roll with a create-yourself theme was a lot of fun, with us trying our hand at balancing the several components with beautifully cooked and spiced soy chaap. Mock-meat ala Indien 🍴😊!<br/>The simple masala chuski as a palette cleanser worked even in the biting Delhi winter. <br/>Especially loved a bourbon-based drink with ginger and rose petals .. I forget the name, however.<br/>The desserts were a tad bit underwhelming with daulat ki chaat with roasted almond being just about pass grade - light fluffy saffron-infused cream with roasted almond not doing anything in particular. Doodhi jalebi that my friends got was good - nothing exceptional about it.<br/>On the whole, we loved the experience. Very good food, coupled with the service, presentation and innovation is worth making a trip (and a reservation!) :-)

Got a reservation here after several attempts! But it was worth it. Ordered ghee roast mutton boti for starters! Tasted good. Found the quantity less as compared to the price but then came a complimentary tea & bite sized cheese kulcha’s. After that we ordered for butter chicken kulcha’s with black dairy dal & it was accompanied by churan chuski. All the food tasted excellent & complimentary surprises after each course were the best part. At the time of billing we were again served with a complimentary dessert daulat ki chaat which was super amazing. Will be surely coming back again for more! This place gives u experience apart from top quality service & food.

The ambience is simple and cozy. It’s a one time experience and a must try. The food was okay but the desserts were nice.

The best meal you can have in India- period! The very fact it was full on a Monday dinner and all I could hear the other tables was - How amazing is the food says a lot about the place! <br/><br/>Extremely well thought out menu.. So full of flavours and absolutely fresh ingredients.. I haven’t had better crab or fish anywhere else.. The staff was very courteous and well informed! The chef very graciously accommodated all our dietary restrictions which if I may say- are too many.. <br/><br/>Going back again in less than a month.. Team Indian Accent you have a Patron for life!

Chef Manish Mehrotra and Shantanu are no less than Rockstars. This brand has made our country proud throughout the world.<br/><br/>The theme and execution of each and every dish is so enigmatic and superb, it's just unbelievable. Each dish curated by the chefs just brings out the best of all worlds. Like the Chole Bhature tarts shells , the Matar chura from Bihar in one bite and the fresh burrata cheese with Tomato chaat ,pear and sunflower shoots. One of the best pork renditions, the Pork Ribs in Meetha Aachar ( sweet pickle)and puffs is just mind blowing. Not to forget the blue cheese mini naan which is just next level.<br/><br/>Service is classy and personalised to the core. A beautiful restaurant with beautiful people great food experience. A must visit for special occasions. Book well in advance.

Incredible vibe, and extraordinary nourishment. Indian Accent has consistently been one of my top choices. We requested their exceptional pav bhaji and aaloo tikki which was presented with chana. Cherished their uncommon Dal makhani and chur parmesan cheddar naan. The administration was incredible and the experience was splendid. Must attempt.

Daulat Ki Chaat! <br/>Mostly available in winters on the streets of Chandni Chowk. Though this one is from Indian Accent where it’s available all year around.😋<br/>P.S. This one is from dad’s birthday!

Indian accent is a place you must keep in mind for special occasions. It surely became a memorable experience. <br/><br/>I went for veg and non veg chef’s platter as I want more interested in trying a variety and I want disappointed in my choice. <br/><br/>When visiting Indian accent do keep in mind to enjoy the experience and not be bothered by the small quantity of the food. <br/><br/>I would recommend it a 100%.

Everything about this place is fabulous. The food and especially the presentation was top-notch. We ordered the three course menu. The proportions were just perfect. The mutton was succulent...the fish..the daal and even the mushroom shorba. Worth every penny. Must must have here if you really appreciate good food. That they prepare their food with love shows...

I ate here last night. Table of 3. They changed the chef's tasting menu since last time. The experience did not feel right, and the menu felt more pretentious than as a luxurious experience. The new menu does not match the price they charge (food bill of 15,000 for a table of 3), and is not tasty. You need to up your game.

It’s always great to experience indian accent , their innovative displays is what I enjoy the most ! Of course the food and service are worth mentioning too !

Nice experience <br/>It was nice fusion of indian food<br/>Though it was little expensive<br/>But each and every bite tasted like heaven.<br/>I also had a tropical drink(mocktail) it gave different flavours in every sip<br/>

Great nourishment with inviting staff. Great assortment of indo combination food.India's best café with outright shocking taste and introduction. Astounding nourishment and administration. The champions for me were the plum sorbet, Kanyakumari crabs, achari pork slashes, the tamarind mocktail, Doda barfi tart and daulat ki chaat. Must visit!
Food N Food
The dishes we ordered were complex and none of them disappointed. In-between your courses, the restaurant provides surprise dishes to further excite your palate. The staff is super attentive and helpful which is required because the food is unique to Indian Accent.
