Review Dhaba - New Delhi

Gaurav
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece. The flavors were exquisite, and it's clear that the chefs here are incredibly skilled. Whether it was the appetizers, main courses, or desserts, each bite was a burst of culinary excellence. The presentation of the dishes was also top-notch, adding to the overall dining experience. The menu had a great variety to choose from, catering to different tastes and preferences.

It's really amazing North Indian food. Ambience was amazing, staff was very friendly. One of the most outstanding food ever. Highly recommend the Chicken tikka and Dal Makhani. Please come here, this is one of the oldest restaurants in Delhi still better than most of them

Dhaba Restaurant is a culinary haven! The quality of food here is exceptional – each dish bursts with authentic flavors that transport you straight to India. The Tandoori Platter is a must-try, perfectly grilled and seasoned. Beyond the delicious fare, the service is top-notch, with a warm and knowledgeable staff. A five-star dining experience that keeps me coming back for more!

Where every taste tells a story. For the love of delicious food. Sensory enjoyment opened up. Your culinary adventure awaits. Less cost. High quality. We are always here to serve you. Life is short, make it sweet. A taste you will remember. Life is dull without good food. Get the best or nothing.

Dhaba is an old restaurant, serving North indian food in Punjabi setup. The whole look of the restaurant is Punjab. There's a truck chasis and a village look of Punjab. Food is good, specially Balti meat, butter chicken, bhartha etc. There's live Indian music, singer singing old Hindi songs. Service is good too. The only irritant is it's congested and small. Better make a reservation here.

I would like to give my special thanks to Mr. Pramod and Mr. Shakti who took care at the restaurant and recommended us some nice dishes. Would really wish to visit again very soon.

DHABA is a culinary gem that captivates diners with its impeccable service, inviting ambiance, and, most importantly, a menu that promises a symphony of flavors. From the moment you step through the door, the warm and sophisticated atmosphere envelops you, creating an immediate sense of comfort. The tasteful decor, a perfect blend of modern aesthetics and classic charm, sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

Amazing feel of a real dhaba and a culinary delight. The food ingredients are well sourced and nicely cooked to give a great time to our taste buds. We visited for lunch and to our suprise, the chef personally attended to us. The deal was too good to refuse : ₹1795 + taxes per person, as much as you can eat across the menu. This was only for lunch and I tell you, it was a feast! Thank you Dhaba and wish you all the very best.

My family and I recently visited and experienced Dhaba. Although the food and service were good, the prices were outrageous and unfair for what was provided. The original bill was for $660 USD for a few appies, six thalis and a few drinks. We had little warning of the cost, and trusted the team. Fortunately, the manager reduced the price by 25%, but the cost for each person was still around $100 dollars for a 90 minute experience

This one is not really like dhana, it is far better than a 5 star hotel in Delhi NCR. The standard of food and serving is just outstanding. This one is not for middle class. Only rich people afford this

Service was excellent and staffs were very co-operative and behaved nicely,. Food was delicious, all the dishes are so tasty and atmosphere was really cool and familiar.

The communal areas and garden are fantastic. Restaurant and service within are very poor. For example the table wasnt set fully when seated, clearing plates whilst some still eating. Moving knife and fork from starter to side plate to reuse for main course, was offered wine list but most wines not available and wine not on the list offered as alternatives. The rooms are big but quite dated and the bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. It’s huge too.
Oded Elboim
The hotel staff was great, service was good and food was good. Rooms are very comfortable! The only I was amazed at was the prices of the food by the pool area. I ordered a caffe latte and I was charged 400 rp which I thought was extremely high considering outside you pay maximum of 80 to! Just as a comparison a sandwich by the pool will cost around 650 rp.

We visit the hotel restaurant for lunch Generally . Every time we visit we returned with a smile on our face for the lovely time we enjoyed courteous staff service and awesome Food .Saturday buffet at Pickwicks was amazing. Great Salads and variety to choose and Mutton Shorba soup was piping hot and excellent..Loved it. Fish Fry with aoili sauce was just too perfect .Though many felt that the food variety to choose has gone down and very limited I felt it was fine as we generally do not eat so much anyways

One of my favorite stay point...Amazing services, professional staff, lovely food...extremely overwhelming..

Hotel is ok and has very good breakfast. Not 5 stars because we booked a triple room and had to wait they settled the extra bed. Also toiletries, bathrobe and towels were set for 2 hosts only. Extra bed is a foldable one but very comfortable. Basically our stay was very nice but they could provide a better service on arrival.

Exceptional!!! The location, the building, the room size, the facility, the balcony, the swimming pool, all is great.

The food was amazing. Great service was provided by Ranjeet. The place is a must visit. Also, all the norms are being followed regarding the safety of the customers. Overall, a great experience. <br/>

Food is yuck. They are not maintaining quality and taste standards. Don't eat their shit. Avoid. It's worthless ordering food at home ..other 5 stars are maintaining good standards but not them
Kshitij Sachdeva
As you enter the restaurant you will find very vibrant interior which is pleasing to your eyes. The sitting is casual but comfortable and the place shouts out loud.. Dhabha is known for its mutton dishes ... The Balti meat, tawa mutton, butter chicken should be the perfect date for non vegetarian people. Balti meat cooked in legendary gravy and tawa mutton cooked to perfection.. Tawa mutton could be enjoyed with rice ... And butter chicken gravy is too good... Thuma up to this place. . Must visit this place at least once
Amu
This was a The Good and The Bad together kind of experience. Cream of Broccoli soup was perfect, so was the croissant. Crispy Tofu turned out to be soggy as the outer layer was too thinly coated and I am guessing they forgot to drain out excess moisture from tofu before frying it. Baked Cauliflower(gobi) was too greasy (may be they fried it). Also it tasted more like Gobi Pakoda, than baked Gobi. Am definitely not coming back for Baked Gobi, but would compliment the chef who prepared my soup and the baker for perfect roll of croissant.

Pathetic service. serving non veg and veg with same spoon. Serving non veg to someone who ordered veg in group. Unprofessional servers. Not even serving the dishes order. They just keep it in table and go. Its a problem in big group where multiple dishes are ordered. Ultimately they go waste. Not even asking for drinks to be replaced when clearly seeing that the glass are empty. If you have corporate clients or foreigners to take dont go here. The food is also not that great. I will give zero for service.
Neha Rahul Munjal
horrible food, chicken kali mirch had watery gravy and when we told them it is not nice server picked up the dish abruptly and came back with it making it thick but even worse in taste. Till then our lunch was already done and mood was possed off. We called the chef and like a stony faced he said aorry sir. The chicken size was ridiculous considering it a five star. For a dish costing 1195 the chicken was so skinny with hardly 4 pieces and no meat in it at all. Then came the restaurant manager offer sweet so that we dont write a bad review anywhere, however we denied paid and came back. It ruined our day , considering it my kids birthday and we wanted something special. Please avoid this place if u can.

The food was tasty enough as a Dhaba, but the potion sizes need to improve a lot as per the prices. The Roti was served burnt and not upto the quality. Would prefer going out than here

The place is designed to make you experience the rustic charm and they do it in style. The set up almost there with the furniture, walls and music.<br/>The staff are professional and courteous- trained well to provide the hotel guests an impressive service.<br/><br/>The food- an interesting mix of elements. What ever I have chosen on my multiple visits has been cooked well and served per your request. If your taste buds aren’t up for enjoying spice, do mention.<br/><br/>Wish they had more options in their menu.

Dhaba by claridges!! Earlier i was under impression that all Dhabas est 1986 or something in Cyber Hub and Aerocity are chain of this restaurant only..they were in past but the Authentic Dhaba is at Hotel Claridges with some wonderful sitting experince like an urban dhaba ambience and great decoration!<br/>But the strong point about this place is the consistency of taste its delivering all the time i have visited there! They serve out of the world Balti Meat and Tiffin chicken and Tawa pulao..their Kadhai Paneer and Daal makni are also very nice! Top class dish was also served by them durin a baisakhi festival which was going on there, a dhaba dahi chicken!! I still feel that taste, i can’t even imagine a simple chicken dish can be prepared with such perfection! Trying to convince them to add this dish as regular menu! Prices yes they are on a higher side, but the kind of crowd they are catering, they wont mind! U will find foreigners anyday whenever u visit them, njoying the indian food! They are situated inside the heritage claridges hotel! So they maintain that level of hospitality, its top class! Yes it will make a hole on ur pocket but must visit if you go out only on special ocassions just to have an outstanding food!

Yesterday i had a dinner here.<br/>Everything is good from dinner to service and i can say that the staff was courteous and i loved this place due to delicious food.<br/>Food:5/5<br/>Ambience:5/5

Bad food. The tandoori pineapple was very sour. The lacchha paratha was burnt. The second half was half cooked. Not worth the time and money.<br/>

I stayed at The Claridges and had an opportunity to dine in Dhaba. Tried some assorted kebabs, Dal makhani and Keema Kaleji from Dhaba Menu. All were delicious and well presented. Homemade Kulfi had a great taste. Thanks Varun, Amandeep and Sanjay for excellent hospitality and service.

The menu here is pretty limited so thats one thing which needs to be kept in mind.Although pretty much all dishes are excellent but with the limited menu not sure if one can visit it too may times<br/>The restaurant is not that big as well and yet i found the service worthless. The servers had to be called 3-4 times each time we needed something so that was a big disappointment.<br/>Other than perfect place for family dinners

Yesterday we had dinner here. What a place it is from the ambience to the service everything was exceptionally well especially Baalti Meat loved it the best meat I ever had. Would especially like to mention Chef Mahavir Singh what an asset he is to your hotel. Loved interacting with him and got some superb tips. Must visit. Highly recommended ☺️

Dhaba, the age old super place to fill in all your Mughlai Taste Pangs! <br/><br/>Their menu seems very limited at first, however if you ask for certain common mains like Paneer Lababdaar, Butter Paneer Masala, Kadhai Paneer, Dum Aloo, etc... they have it all. So to order here, PLEASE ASK what’s there in the menu. <br/><br/>Step 1 to be here - Get a reservation done since it’s a very small place that can accommodate a total of only 50 people at one time. <br/><br/><br/>I’d highly recommend their Chicken Tikka, IT IS OF COURSE very spicy, but it’s the BESTEST CHICKEN TIKKA I’ve ever eaten. <br/><br/>Their Dal Makhani and BUTTER NAAN is delish too. You can avoid their Paneer Lababdaar, it was somewhere between Paneer Bhurji and Paneer Butter Masala. <br/><br/>Their Pudina Parantha was also extremely flavourful!<br/><br/>If you don’t take any drinks here, your per person cost would be somewhere close to ₹1200-1500 each, inclusive of taxes. <br/><br/>Please visit this place and have a good time at your Authentic Dhaba. <br/><br/>PS - The chutney & pyaaaz here is killlllerrrr 😍

We came dhaba for the Baisakhi festival and we had an amazing time there beautiful ambience, yummy food everything was great. I would like to mention especially Raidhi Vaali biryani was d top class. Chef Mahavir Singh gave us some useful tips.

This place was on my list and finally I got an opportunity to visit this famous restaurant! I went with family for a dinner and we were extremely happy with the food!<br/>For starters I had ordered Fish Tikka. As soon as it arrived on our table, it looked drool worthy! The pieces of Tikka were so soft and succulent that they just melt as soon as you keep it in your mouth. A must try dish if you’re here. We also ordered a couple of their mocktails namely Dipper at night and Aamsutra. Both the mocktails were in mango base and we liked Dipper at night. Amalgamation of mango juice, aam panna and coke, this mocktail was amazing. <br/>For maincourse we ordered their famous Balti meat, dal makhni and kanastri baingan! Dal makhni was utterly butterly delicious. Baingan was also cooked perfectly with right flavours. But the highlight was their Balti meat. Oh boy!! I’ve never been to a place that makes meat like them. Properly marinated, amazingly cooked with right spices this dish has quantity enough to serve to hunger souls! In breads we had their butter naan, amritsari kulcha, pudina parantha and onion parantha. Pudina parantha and amritsari kulcha are a must try!! <br/>This restaurant might Not be light on your pocket but the food is value for money!!

Went for a buffet lunch for my daughter's birthday on Sunday. Had to wait for 20 min as it was crowded, but it was worth.  Delicious food. Service could have been better though as we had to wait for some time before being served. Soup was served when we asked and that too only veg. We had to ask for water too. Overall, an experience that could have been better.

YOU CALL THIS LUXURY?!?!<br/><br/>This pathetic excuse of a restaurant is housed in the Claridges hotel. Trust me, if you want to feel depressing levels of service, give this place a go.<br/><br/>This place made us realize what Indians must’ve felt in the British era. Small cramped sitting, with staff ignoring you, maybe because we were the only Indian family dining at that time (around 7:30pm) in a restaurant otherwise full with foreigners. For every little request, we had to call on the waiter 3 times at a minimum. Not exactly the type of service you’d expect in such an establishment. The staff really showed where there priorities lay, I’m ashamed to be at the receiving end of such a poor service in my own country!<br/>I’m no stranger to dining with the white skinned, but the attitude of the wait staff is worse than I’ve seen anywhere, India or abroad. Maybe they’re still mentally slaving, stuck in the British Raj, or are greedy for tips, can’t say for sure.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, we’re vegetarians, and the food was thoroughly average. I mean, ranging from starters to the main course, not 1 single dish was proper in taste. Half cooked, half-ass effort really showed the heart they put in their food. Even the salt was not proper, in one dish it was way more in another it was missing. The flavour was non existent too. My dad joked that we can get much better food at a real roadside dhaba for a fraction of the price. Leaving me, the host, red faced, and rightly so. <br/><br/>When we expressed our dissatisfaction to our server(s) (as it was not the duty of any one waiter to attend us), he simply shrugged and bought us more salt!?! Was he even listening?? And then tried to pathetically explain the botchup.<br/><br/>IDK how the restaurant managed to appease so many critics? I won’t go there again... Ever.... even if they pay me to eat there....<br/>Too bad Zomato doesn’t allow less than 1 Star, cause that’s the score they rightfully deserve IMHO.<br/><br/><br/><br/>
BEEFEATER
Had a takeaway from this outlet. I ordered chana masala, shahi paneer, butter roti, butter naan. The food is good in taste and quantity. It is worth the money. Must try this outlet once.

Sudden North Indian food craving led us to the Dhaba. It was my second visit and trust me nothing has changed. Staff is courteous and food is amazing!!
Shrikant Chandra
I was there last night with friends and sad to notice a little dipping of standards. The waiters are no longer friendly and atmosphere is very business like to get rid of the guest as fast as possible. even asking for water and getting it can be a challenge. The kitchen was made to look like a dhaba so that’s okay - but deep scratches on plates, pans and pots . Mutton curry was good and so the rest of the food except the Rotis which were not crisp.
Videt Jaiswal
This place is a north indian food paradise! The Dal Makhani and Paneer dishes are out of the world. To add to that, their ambience is so authentic. Perfect place for a family dinner.

Tanduri chicken was so good.<br/>Chicken was well garnish & well presant.<br/>This dhaba was awesome.<br/>I suggested to food lover come hear and eat food. This dhaba is best.<br/>

Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We ordered some snacks drinks and main course. It was very tasty and delicious. The staff was courteous and polite. <br/>The quantity was good enough for two people. <br/>One should try DO DIN KI DAL with KADAI PANNER.

Dhaba - when it comes to highway food or punjabi food, Dhaba is the only place that serves consistently good food. Over the past 30 years they have been pioneers in dhaba food. This lohri they got Chef Manpreet Singh Tikka and he has got amazing new food for us. He got dishes which were part of Punjab( before 1947). The palak and bathua moong dal saag was outstanding and so were the desi lamb chops. Cooking New Zealand lamb chops is no art but cooking Indian chops definetly requires right skill. The simple humble dal was amazing and the shalgam meat was brilliant. The company of Chef vivek rana, Bobby, Sakshi and the food, - I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon. Shailender ji's hospitality was incredible. Thank you Team Dhaba! Can't wait to see you guys again..
Vickrham (Vicky)
It's as close to a Punjabi style highway diner as it can be. The ambience is totally rustic with all the elements of a Dhaba including a Truck chassis.<br/><br/>The lanterns, blinking lights, wooden bench type furniture and wall decals.<br/><br/>Since this place has opened it has always served the most delicious Punjabi food in the city. Its getting better with time as the wine ages and matures.Chef Manpreet Singh with his talented team has created a lovely menu at this Lohri which includes dishes from the homes and villages of Punjab. The unmatchable and iconic dishes like the Dal Dhaba, Balti Meat,Mutton Boti and many others are always here to stay. Taste is consistently the same and getting even better each tine.<br/><br/>Service is great and the server's even remember you by names and the place where you sat last time you visited.Wow..this is why people flock back to this place again and again.

1. Always call before you go there. They do not reserve table on call. <br/><br/>2. Try going in during some event only. You will be able to get some nice regional food. <br/><br/>3. Authentic taste of dhaba, finger licking stuff. <br/><br/>4. Expect a wait of 2 hours or more during busy event days. <br/><br/>5. Food serving, catering stuff is super nice.

The dal makhani and garlic naan are too die for. 🤤<br/>Friendly amazing staff<br/>Cool dhaba vibes with great comfort<br/>One of the best North Indian punjabi cusine place in delhi

I would want to give this place a 3.5 but there is no option to do so , so consider this rating done by me a 3.5. <br/>Speaking of the ambiance , it goes perfect with their concept. The tables , chairs , walls , old school refrigerator and phone all do justice to the theme. <br/>The service is a 3.5/5. They should be a more hospitable to everyone coming there and nicely greet them. Its Claridges so such a thing should be there. <br/>In food , i had dal makhni , butter chicken , butter naan , pudina parantha , aalo parantha and mirch parantha. <br/>Dal makhni was little bitter and i didnt like it. Butter chicken was great and so was its gravy . It seemed the taste came from a lot of desi ghee that had been added. Butter naan should be improvised. Pudina parantha was nice. Aalo parantha was tasty. Mirch parantha was green chilli parantha and not the laal mirch one. <br/><br/>Recommendations: <br/>1. Butter chicken <br/>2. Pudina Parantha

Rustic punjabi dhaba style interiors. I am sure a lot of people would find it interesting though on a personal level it was not quite to my liking ( a TATA truck being plastered on the wall wasn't quite my taste). But if you are into rustic and old world charm you will be quite happy to be here with decorative old fans and wall radios etc.<br/>Coming to food, I must say it was nice, would highly recommend the Balti Meat (spicy) and their Kheer which is really thick and delicious.

OF DHAABA STYLE FOOD AND MUSIC IN DELHI !<br/><br/>So where does a family go for their parents anniversary celebrations is a question which bothers when you been to many popular joints ...Parents choice , our own (kids) preference, and the urge to try out new remains on the radar<br/><br/>Parents preference won hands down so we narrowed down to three places - VIVANTA BY TAJ (erstwhile Ambassador) , TAJ MAN SINGH and CLARIDGES (Dhaba the Indian Restaurant) <br/><br/>The vehicles finaly stopped at DHABA the Indian Restaurant at Claridges and we got the seats quite comfortably (since we were there by 8ish) <br/><br/>Now for those familiar with Dhaba its one thing to expect the Indian food but its another to soak in the ambience and the artifacts they have to create that so called "DHABA" feel . From the body of the TATA Truck jutting out from the back wall and that dimly lit space in the drivers seat where the gods seem to be driving the whole thing smoothly to the fans to the lamps to the old classic radio set and even the mirchi lemon ballon thingy to ward of the evil.. its a sight for eyes. Especially for the tourists to who want a first hand exposure to the Indianess and surroundings :) (Infact when we were there we had about 3 toursit parties on the tables relishing the food) <br/><br/>So our order comprised of TWO DAL MAKHNIS (especially told not to put the cream ) , MATAR PANEER , BUTTER CHICKEN . For the drinks it was the MINT CHAACH . Topped it up with the RASMALI and the KHEER <br/><br/>DAL MAKHNIS - hot, thick , fresh, and without cream (as asked for) it was a delicious portion of dark, dal that went very well with the onions and the fresh mint chutney. Not the shaadi types but yet somehow heavy on the stomach in terms of the effect but tasty :) <br/><br/>MATAR PANEER - found it just a tad too raw and could have done with more softness - the matar. The paneer was fine but then when you have the slight hardness of the peas coming through the paneer it seems to be not in balance. <br/><br/>BUTTER CHICKEN - this was nice small chunks of tender chicken in a thick curry the typical butter chicken. No stopping the cream in this so it did come through the taste very well. Now everyone may have a different way in which they prefer their butter chicken but for me its supposed to be with lots of lemon, onions and chilly (add a green chili to get the sweet, tangy, chilly flavour is what makes this special). And then we did justice to the dish by ordering 3 additional rotis :) <br/><br/>The Salad comprising of the onions in a ring and lemon and the mint chutney were nice and fresh. The rotis were crisp and hot and didnt take too much time to get them coming at a regular flow. All dishes are in heavy steel kind of utensils that gives the Dhaba touch in full. <br/><br/>MINT CHAACH - a white coloured thick liquid in a glass but tastes full on of mint and its nice when you want to have it after a heavy meal. Two were ordered and consumed with ease<br/><br/>KHEER - this was the best of the lot, that it went aorund the table to everyone. Its what reminded us of everything nutritious thrown in the "ghaada milk" with that kesar in abundance. <br/><br/>RASMALI - cool and as expected heavy. But I suppose after all the above one was good enough. On other days probably would have gone for the second helping as well. <br/><br/>Ramandeep the Manager was courteous and supportive in getting a cake for the Parents Anniversary. It was a nicely done up corn design with candles. Parents were a little doubtfull on the taste looking at the corn shaped, design but once they dug in  ,oh boy did they have it all :) afterall their anniversary !!<br/><br/>All in all a nice evening spent with loved ones, with a promise that we can come back to this place for our future celebrations. <br/><br/>PS: not to be missed was the loud but then the dhaba style music to accompany. For someone who is into music it was like the old times of radio in hostel life as the kishore, rafi songs floated through the evening. However, the apt song ... Gadi jandi hai chalenga mardi ... was missing ;) and then it would have been the perrrrfeeect Dhaba style evening ! <br/><br/>FOODIE_BYTES RATING <br/><br/>Presentation - 3.5/5<br/><br/>Ingredient Add on - 4/5 <br/><br/>Taste - 4/5 <br/><br/>Ease of consuming - 4/5 <br/><br/>Money - 3.5/5 <br/><br/>Shareable - 4 /5 (each serving is decent for two) <br/><br/>Venue Ambience - 4.5/5 <br/><br/>SERVICE - 4.5/5<br/><br/>Date of Visit - 2nd December, 2018, (Sunday)

Ambience: I love the faux dhaba decor. It's been done quite well with a pseudo bus like wall and the face of a devil and nimbu mirchi trucks use to ward off evil. The seating, I thought, was a little close quarters.<br/><br/>Menu: the menu is interesting with a lot of highway-truck drivers jargon thrown in. It had alu wadiyan - which is so typically a home mad ePunjabi dish which restaurants don't usually have. We ordered it and were not disappointed. <br/><br/>Service: This is what makes the most impact and this is where the staff lose points. We were shown a small room for seating. When we asked for a regular table, they immediately complied and let us take the table of our choice. Plus points for that. But the service was definitely lacking. Once we finished the starters, a steward came and asked us if we were ready for main course. But he neither asked what we wanted or offered the menu for us to look at. He just heard us say yes and vanished. Alu wadi was tasty but since it is a dish with gravy, one should use a bowl to serve it. And definitely NOT serve it in the center of the plate even if there is a separate plate to keep the roti. I think this is basic serving manners.<br/><br/>The food bill was carelessly placed on the table. And their machine wasn't working so we had to walk out to the reception to enter the pin etc. I don't think we will be going back to this place for another meal.

These are the words that comes to my mind when I recall about the dinner at this place. I am emotionally connected to the place as we had the last Dinner with our mother at this place.<br/><br/>Courteous staff, amazing delicacies and aww strucking ambience.<br/><br/>I still remember we had orders corn Pallam. Dal makhani some paneer dish.<br/><br/>My husband had never tasted any kind of leafy vegetable in his life but he went nuts on there corn Palak.

This is a quiet place with a great Ambiance......there is a feel of village mud hut ...and the decor goes well with it ...the food I tried was from special menu ...and was authentic ....the portions were good and the serving was nice ...had a good time here<br/>

A classy place, Awesome place to satiate your taste buds.<br/>If you are going try #Fish, I think they are connoisseur of Indian tastes. So overall awesome experience with excellent ambiance and of course a supportive staff.<br/>Next time in Delhi DO VISIT THIS PLACE.

Went for lunch to Dhaba. What catches your attention is the decor. A Dhaba in a five star hotel. The ambience is warm with small nooks and alcoves giving you the required privacy. The food was tasty and flavoursome. The balti mutton was succulent but the star was Tiffin chicken with jeera nan. The yellow dal was also very tasty. The kebabs were good. Ended with a light and fluffy Ras Malai. The service was efficient and excellent. Kudos to Mr Sanjay. Overall a very good experience

We were just finding the place to hangout and then we laid eyes on this place and to be honest we were intrigued by the ambiance of this place. As the name suggests you can have some hard drinks for some pocket friendly rates here, food & service is extremely satisfying. I had good time with friends and will visit here in future too.

Eponymous to its name, the restaurant has a rustic feel, a very comfortable desi atmosphere. I went there for a Sunday lunch. <br/><br/>The Menu provides a wide range of veg and non-veg dishes, we ordered Rajama rice, roasted papad, and a green salad. The food was fresh and hot, beautifully decorated. Rajama was soft and juicy, when combined with rice tasted heavenly, the flavors were strong and spicy, made me lick my fingers. The aroma added up to my appetite, we went for a second helping and savored the meal until fully satiated. <br/><br/>In short, It’s a must place, if you crave for simple, desi, lip-smacking food.

The place is really amazing. The decor gives you the typical feel of dhaba. The old songs makes your meal more enjoyable. The food is very delicious and their staff is so cooperative.

I visited Claridges Coffee Shop many times with my associates and clients but at Dhaba I visited last month with one of my Client who invited me there at Dinner. We had Drinks, handi Mutton, Rice, Tandoori Roties, Dal Makhani, Lacha Onions and Kheer. Everything is upto the mark and prepares in traditional punjabi style. Definitely will visit there with family and friends soon.

The truck model jetting out of the wall, vintage accessories and paintings, and the old 60s/70s/80s songs welcome you to dhabha feel. The food and service are great. I have been there many a times for dinner with friends. food is always loved, the dishes r seves presently. The ambience is very good and it attracts a good gentry.

The Balti meat, butter chicken and dal makhni is just great, then there are many traditional drinks during the summers. Must try.<br/>Will visit again to try other dishes in their menu.<br/>Would recommend.

A very beautiful concept of 'Dhaba' but got dissappointed with the quatity of the starters . Taste was fine where dal makhani and pineapple raita are a must try . Service was time consuming too but Mr. Sanjay was really sweet.<br/>Food : 3/5<br/>Service: 2/5<br/>Ambience : 4/5

The Food Preparation was good! Oil in the food was not that much and seems to be good.  Menu was little disappointing it has a set menu with not many dishes! It's more for ppl who wanted to have Home style North Indian Food in 5 star place not for experimenting new stuff.

Dhaba is one of my favourites for Indian food ... Balti Meat, The Dal, Butter Chicken is yumm!<br/><br/>But I give them a 3 because they don't take reservations for post 7:30 in the evening so you might end up waiting for the table, the guy you end up speaking to at the restaurant is rude! I almost decided not to go ... But my cravings got the better of me ! <br/><br/>Their seating is atrocious! It's dirty, uncomfortable and looks bad. <br/>I used to love their cocktails but it wasn't the same this time... Hope they can fix that.<br/><br/>
Anuradha
Love their Balti meat, butter chicken and dal makhni. I have also noticed that their service can be subpar if you catch them at a busy day (which is otherwise brilliant as one would expect), which is strange because for a small place Dhaba is well staffed.
Aditya Kaul
Exceptional ambience and old bollywood classic music sets the tone right unlike unmatched by the regular passive service. Super flavourful food specially the dal makhani and pudina paratha was amazing. Kudos to chefs
Ruchika. Delhifoodies
We went there for to celebrate my husband birthday, there food quality was not up to the mark & service was also very slow. Very disappointing. I am a very regular customer of your hotel.
Siddharth Sikand
Don’t know why it took so long to visit this place. Awesome food and it beats all of its franchisees across Delhi. Dal Makhani and Butter chicken are a must have. The butter naan was one of the best I had in a long time. Service could have been better but overall a great experience.

The food here is classy and simply authentically North Indian styled.<br/>Innovative styling of the restaurent with a truck replica.<br/>Splendid experience! Bliss!<br/><br/>We relished : <br/><br/>🥔APPETIZERS - <br/>🔴NON VEGETARIAN<br/>▪️Raan kabab - succulent boneless pieces of a single Goat raan/Lamb Raan. <br/>▪️Highway chicken kabab - An equivelant of chicken tikka except that there are no cubes but "naturally" cut pieces of chicken.<br/><br/>🍞🥖SIDES- <br/>▪️Lacha paratha<br/>▪️Pudina paratha<br/><br/>🍽 MAINS<br/>❇️VEGETARIAN<br/>▪️Dal makhni - Extremely rich and yummy. Could give the Dal Bukhara a run for its money<br/>🔴NON VEGETARIAN<br/>▪️Balti meat- The perennial favourite at the Dhaba. Also, they serve only NALLIS in this dish.<br/><br/>All in all a great experience. Definitely a must try.

Absolute pleasant experience. Very good waiters who know everything about the restaurant. Smiles all round. Food has authentic flavours and taste really good. Would recommend to everyone.

When Two tablespoons visited Dhaba - The Claridges: <br/><br/>Kush: So our FIRST FOOD TRIP in Delhi starts here at Dhaba Restaurant as suggested by @nomnomtales. I am so excited. :)<br/>Anj: I know. Aren't the Delhi metros just amazing? It is so easy & comfortable to commute unlike in Mumbai. <br/>Kush: True that. Delhi metro is the best. Now I am craving for Dal Makhani. Let's order. <br/>Anj: Yes yes. How excited are you? Haha. I want to have Amritsari Kulcha & Pyaaz Kulcha. <br/>Kush: And of course Kullar di Meethi Lassi. <br/>Anj: And the lassi is here. It is YUM. Christmas in my mouth. <br/>Kush: Hmmmmm I am loving it. Waiting for our food. <br/>Anj: I will finally have some quick pickled red onion. Yaaaas!<br/>Kush: And the much waited food is here. Dal is so yummmm. I can't even describe it. Kulchas are fantastic. <br/>Anj: I know. Every foodie in the country should visit this place. Look around too. Ambience is also pretty. The waiters are also dressed well. Goes with the whole setting. <br/>Kush: The truck is so iconic with funny quotes. Haha! Overall, I had a great time & I am so full. <br/>Anj: We will not like any Dal Makhani once we get to Mumbai. :(<br/><br/>Two Tablespoons say: Ambience: 4.5/5, Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5

This restaurant is absolutely amazing, although slightly pricey. The food is so very flavourful, the paneer tikka is marinated in a brilliant spice mix and is so soft. The makhni dal is creamy. The lachha parantha is spicy and crispy. <br/>The staff is really nice and attentive and the vibe is quirky and the restaurant is always packed.
Digvijay Bhattacharjee
Simply the best butter chicken, balti meat and seekh kebab I have had over here. Amazing ambience and the best thing about this place is to hear the sound of the horn.

We chose Dhaba, as we wanted to have a good thali, and we're looking for options which serve thali. But it wasn't really a pleasure to be in, though the food quality, quantity and time to serve was fine, what really really disappointed me was thier inhospitable behaviour. When you go to a good, expensive restrauant, you look forward for a good experience and hospitality but they didn't even serve water without asking. Not even once any one came to our table to ask for serving or anything. May be I won't be able to express in words my exact feeling but Dhaba staff didn't make me feel good. Won't recommend nor will go again.
Anjal Gupta
Best mutton seekh kebab ever. Great dal makhani. Other dishes taste well too. But, they need to more attentive staff. <br/><br/>Overall: will visit again just for the Mutton Seekh Kebab

Oochi dukan feeka pakwan. As the saing says it all. Had went with great hopes and expectations bt it all shattered as soon the first bite of this rubbery type paneer went in my mouth. No flavours, a strange marination and not even the cutting of the paneer was done properly. Sadly it was a big disappointment for me and my pregnant wife who had this craving for good indian food. The their dal was like a confusing dish. I dun know why i was getting that saag flavour while eating it. For me it is a no to this place for future. I was neither full nor left hungry after the meal. Had some chat papri later to change my taste from a local market.

Over all good food great location i would recommend they have to improve quality of food and portion as well thanks a lot for your hospitality........
Aditya Sharma
Against popular hype- the food is very average, dal makhni was bland and lacked taste. Kadhai paneer was super oily and the quality of paneer was quite average. Overall service is decent, presentation of food is ok. Ambience too claustrophobic, almost size of a living room. High on price, food definitely not worth it.

super place..with nice ambience..real taste of north indian food...loved it. not too spicy..not too mild..a perfect blend of spices..good place to relax and enjoy food with friends..Pravar Agarwal

This place lives upto its name! Its a cute resto with amazing maincourse north indian food.<br/>Brownie points for the courteous staff. Dal Makhni is star of their menu. All in all 4.5.
VRITIKA
The food and the ambience here is simply amazing. We had the very special butter chicken which is one of the best butter chicken in Delhi. Fish also tastes really well. Dal makhni is also great.
Dhruv Bahl
Really good food ... menu was way different than the usual Indian restaurants .... the mutton was well done and soft .. food was served hot ... the breads were soft and food didn’t take much time to come .... the staff was amazing ... ambiance was good .. would love to go again . 🤘🏻👌🏻
Sakshikumar1990
They serve amazing daal makhani, palak corn (not part of regular menu although )& in sweets Rabrii is a must try 😊. Staff is very supportive, Thanks team Dhaba 😊
Aastha Seth
Been visiting this place since quite sometime, but my recent experience wasn't a very pleasant one.. the taste of their butter chicken has gone down and lacks flavour.. it was on the sweeter side, not the usual one. When we asked to make it a little spicy, they stuffed it with ginger and green chillies, making it worse ! The appetisers were good, we had their highway chicken tikka and mutton seekh. <br/>Would highly recommend that they re-work on their iconic butter chicken!
Mohak Chauhan
The food here is so tempting that you won't get time to capture it. It is extremely good. Great ambience. The staff is very friendly and excellent service. Although it is a part of one of the top hotels it wasn't that heavy on Pocket as expected. Being a member of Claridges just made me go this heaven of North Indian food.
Kamayani Sharma
This small little place is done up very beautifully. For starters we had Paneer Tikka and Makai Pyaaz ki Seekh  which was average. For the mains we had Pindi choley, dal makhni and Lehsuni palak. Out of which Lehsuni Palak is my favorite. We also ordered for Dipper at night mocktail which was horrible. To sum it up a decent place and must be visited at least once.

Being their more then 10 times it's the Best safe indian food outside your home.... <br/>Service was bit slow <br/>Dal was amazing<br/>Faluda was amazing<br/><br/><br/>I highly recommend this place... Peace out<br/>

Good indian cuisine. I have found good interior in delhi. Services was also good. Delicious food music was also the same as envirment. Service was fantastic and the people wad so friendly.
Deepak Bhasin
As the name suggests this place serves typical authentic Punjabi mughlai food. The interior of the place has been really well done & a dummy truck on the wall is its USP. The waiters dressed up in typical Punjabi lungi & kurta is superb. Dal makhani, paneer makhani & Kadai Paneer are superb & not to be missed. If you are going for lunch than do try pindi Channa & sweet lassi which will leave u mesmerised.

So this was on my list for a while. Finally gave this a try , as the name suggests , it's a dhaba concept of a restaurant. Not too big ,so they can't accomplishments a lotta people..we decided to have early dinner so we reached by 7.30. <br/>They didn't have soup , what a disappointment. I mean c'mon u could have at least have a shorba .. Anyhoo, for vegetarians they don't have a lotta options..so we ordered a kebab for starters & then the mains which included garlic palak which was star of the show, Dal makhani was second , cholle had no salt & wasn't that great, garlic naan was fresh & crisp , tandoori roti .. subz pulao was the downfall of all.. <br/>Overall it was okay. I won't like wanna visit again deliberately, it was a one time visit for me at least. I have seen & eaten better. They don't even do anything special for birthdays or anniversary's which is a big nayy ! Service was fine.. ambience was nice.
Aanchal Uppal
Dhaba is the beat place to eat with family. Its a fine dining restaurant but serves amazingly delish food. Must visit with your family. <br/>The ambience as well as the food is perfect. Hands down one of the best places in Delhi for fine dining experience
Sameer Sachdeva
The food is pretty awesome! The main course order can take a bit longer! But once it is there, you cannot stop! The food is superly delicious! I recommend you to try the Highway Tikka for the starters and the Special Dal Makhani with extra butter and Balti Meat along with Chupdi Roti...

This is a perfect example of a place where the name outweighs its products. This doesn't mean that food or service was bad, We really enjoyed the food however we expected something special which was missing. <br/>Had ordered yummy butter chicken, dal and nans.<br/><br/>Go here for a good food and service with premium dhaba experience, just dont let the name overshadow the work.

One if the best places I've been to.<br/>The Dal Makhani & The Seekh Kebab were of the topmost quality and taste. The best ever. Short menu, but a perfect one.<br/>The ambience is truly that of a dhaba.

The food is very nice , the quality of the food is also nice, interiors are good and the services are awesome . I enjoyed eating there😊😊😊😊

We went there with a lot of expectations after reading the reviews. But it turned out to be a horrible little dungeon where some poor peasants were forced to eat their daily meal. <br/>There was barely any room for us to reach our table, as in there was barely any room to walk. Its super small and claustrophobic. Went we finally reached our table it was so close to the next one that it felt like we were having dinner with them. We couldn't talk because it felt like the entire room would hear us. Super awkward and crampy. Made any food we ate felt like a forced meal. <br/>In my opinion the markup charged by five stars is for the experience, not for the food. You can get good food at a lot of places, but those places are cheaper than these luxury hotels because these hotels are supposed to provide a luxury dining experience. This place is a complete ripoff. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Hungry Punjabi
we have celebrated a few occasions here.<br/>Firstly, the place is very warm and welcoming. Amazing Punjabi tone interiors.<br/>So is the food, absolutely yummmmm....<br/>Do enjoy their sweet lassi with punjabi thali. <br/>Am personally fond of open and luxury spaces, so would rate this place as slightly tightly arranged, but maybe thats the theme and business.<br/>experience 5/5<br/>food 5/5<br/>ambiance 5/5

Big Names No Heart<br/>Respect your customers not just because they pay you but because that's the least you can do.<br/><br/>Appetizers - Good<br/>Breads - okay<br/>Main Course - Okay<br/><br/>We ordered a serving of Yellow Daal WTHOUT Tomato because we have a family person allergic to tomato. We got served a bowl of daal WITH BIG CHUNKS of tomato.<br/><br/>Hospitality - zero<br/><br/>Space - Only if you like people talking right next to your ear.<br/><br/>There are way better restaurants in Delhi, this one is good to fancy the foreigners.  Some basic training to your servers won't harm.
Hitesh Gupta
Food is too good but the service is the worst. The manager of the restaurant Amandeep is wrost person ever encountered. He had no etiquettes how to attend customers. I'm going to this restaurant for like 10 years but never experienced such bad service.<br/>Try improving yourself guys.
Saurabh Goel
A must visit place if you want to try authentic in a dhaba style. I liked the crearivity of the decor. Also, food was mouth watering. Pindi chole, Bharwa Aaloo, Paneer Tikka, Shikanji is must try. Do visit if you want to get feel of a 5 Star Dhaba<br/>
Devasis Roy
Food was tasty but on the spicier side. Service was rather curt. The seating when the restaurant is full like it was on the day I visited is rather cramp.
AKan
I visited this place with a bad mood because I didn't wish to eat Indian food that evening so I thought that my evening would be ruined. However the food, ambiance and the hospitality that this place offered didn't let that happen. In terms of food, this place aptly stood up to its name as dhabas in this country offer Indian food in its most authentic version.Over all, I had a good experience!

Love dhaba food?<br/>Just visit the place. <br/>Great service and delicious food ! Perfect family restaurant with ambient surrounding. <br/>Interiors have just the looks of a dhaba.<br/>A recommended place to visit more than once ! 😊
