It's a Chinese restaurant inside the Taj Mahal hotel, New Delhi. The food served here is delicious. One of the finest chinese food I have ever had. Staff is very attentive and service is very quick. Prices are on the higher side, however, the food and experience justify the money you spend here. Perfect place to celebrate. They have personal dining area also. You may book it and have good time with your friends and family.

I went on a date here as House of Ming was suggested by one of my close friend. I am really big fan of Taj since I know about hospitality industry in general. I booked a table for two approximately a month ago before date to avoid any inconvenience. The staff really helped me book the table in jiffy over a phone call. The parking facility was very easily accessible. The front desk staff gave directions for the restaurant and luckily I was on time. The Restaurant manager was really courteous and understood the occasion of visit and even gave us complimentary dessert. Coming to the ambience of the restaurant, it's done delicately and beautifully. We were allotted a table which didn't hindered the privacy. The service speed was really good and the server serving us gave really good recommendations. I was really impressed with his knowledge about food and beverage. Coming to the food section, the overall taste was really satisfying for the taste buds. We ordered Prawns & water chestnut black bean chilli dim sum, Steamed mini roast duck bao and Fried sichuan chicken wonton. To add cherry on the cake complimentary dessert was given by the courtesy of the staff. Overall my date went really well, my date was also really impressed with the hospitality of House of Ming. Cheers to the team of House of Ming for such brilliant hospitality.

Loved it after renovation as well. More open, modern yet same style and class. Service staff recognize their old clients as well. Food is always amazing. Love the experience as always.

We were quickly seated, and order taken promptly, however after that it was a slow service. We even had to ask to get water refilled multiple times and then it took even longer for someone to come and check on the leftovers and billing. Food tasted good but if service is like this, then not worth spending time here with family and friends.

It's a Chinese restaurant inside Taj Mahal hotel. The food here is delicious. Very good Chinese food, if you a lover of that food. Price is on the higher side thou but the others compensate, like the atmosphere and the taste. They have personal dining area also. You may book it and have good time with your friends and family.

Incredible ambience. This high-end café serves customary Chinese nourishment skillfully arranged. I asked for three kinds of dimsums— prawn, cheddar mushroom and truffle, and one another — each of the three was simply out of this world. The experience with food has been exceptional.

I have really lost count for the number of times I would have dined here and I cant stop myself from writing once again that I love to eat @ House of Ming.

Options for a vegetarian dinner are plenty here and this time I feasted on the starters like Crispy spinach, assorted dim-sums, water chestnuts & broccoli / tofu dish. After having all this, while appetite for main course was less, but still went for it and had a feast.

This high end café serves skillfully arranged customary Chinese nourishment. Regardless of whether it's a basic bowl of soup or a dish with numerous intricate flavors, House of Ming does everything with finesse.I requested three sorts of dimsums - prawn, cheddar mushroom and truffle and one other - each of the three were simply out of this world. Incredible Ambience, extraordinary administration true to form. Nourishment experience was extraordinary.

The mood was very good. The in general design of the eatery is true Chinese. I requested three sorts of dimsums - prawn, cheddar mushroom and truffle and one other - each of the three were simply out of this world. I am returning very soon to attempt their dimsum early lunch throughout the end of the week which they pair with boundless beer.Everthing was Good.

Was looking to having good Chinese so visited this place and was not disappointed. Ordered udon noodle soup: it was clear soup with herbs and vegetables- tasted really good.
Veg hakka noodles: as usual nice without spices
Shredded chicken and lobster which were basically fried pieces served with vegetables which my daughter really liked.
They serve fried cashews in the end which are really good.

Overall its an expensive place but worth going.

Having a meal at the House of Ming in Taj Mansingh, Delhi, was probably one of the best decisions I have made in recent history.
First of all, the ambiance was very good. My friend & I sat at a table that was overlooking the pool outside.
The food spoke for itself. Probably the best Chinese I have had in Delhi. The Sweet and Sour Fish, Lotus Roots in Honey Sauce, Prawns in XO Sauce, all accompanied by delicious Pan Fried Noodles, made for an incredible meal.
This restaurant will give me an excuse to visit Delhi more often.

House Of Ming at the Taj Mansingh Hotel in Delhi is an icon which had stood strong over the years , more than 40 years infact . Having been there before quite sometimes i remember it being great , but we had stopped going here for quite some time , around 4-5 years . So after such a long time we decided to go for the usual Lunch , as that's the preferred time in general as we have even met many power brokers here before too . They get full very fast for lunch so prior reservation is definitely recommended. This place is also great for special occasions as we have celebrated earlier too . We were greeted by Hem who is a wonderful host I must say. We were given a table a bit in middle , not by the window as generally they were a bit loud as most of them were hosting meetings near those seats so we were give great sheets as we did have a good view out and was quite silent too. House of Ming is also credited for what people nowadays call Indian-Chinese , though the restaurant itself doesn't serve that and is authentic to the Chinese roots. They are also credited for the introduction of Golden Fried Prawns which here are amazing . Peking Duck was also brought to India by House of Ming so you can say they have contributed heavily in the Indian Chinese Food market . We ordered a soup , a starter which generally people take for main course but we ordered it as a starter anyways , main course and rice . For the Soup we ordered - Chicken Wonton Soup. I am not a fan of soups in general but sometimes do order it , but here I know for a fact when I return this will definitely be on my order. It was fantastic . The soup was so delicious and heart warming I cannot even say anything more than that. You have an option of the Plain soup or Sour pepper and we went for the plain one. The soup was a light , but superbly flavourful broth. There are vegetables like Broccoli , Carrots , Leeks and obviously a Chicken Wonton. We had the soup split in 2 as we didn't want to fill ourselves up , but next time we will take a bowl for each for sure . I did add some of their hot oil , which is really hot and spicy so beware of the amount you add , I didn't have to add too much , but that gave the soup and amazing heat element to it and made it more complex as well. Loved it and will highly recommend this soup. For the starter , which they actually serve as a Main Course , we ordered Peking Duck Half . There were 7 Huge Rolls of Peking Duck in this Dish , and by huge I do mean it , it is much bigger than usual and is the biggest Peking Duck Roll I have ever seen in India atleast . It's definitely an expensive dish especially for an appetizer but it's a dish one has to order here. The Rolls were filled with Cucumbers , Hoisin Sauce and the Roast Duck. Here the Roast Duck inside isnt as Crispy as other places but instead it is much meatier and fattier too. So what that does is that ilit makes the Roll much thicker and has so much meat , you definitely get your money's worth . We asked them for some extra sauce and they brought us out 2 sauces - Plum Sauce and Hoisin Sauce. Hoisin was already in it but I generally like more Hoisin Sauce to dip it , but here they even gave us Plum sauce which was a stellar sauce. All homemade with small pieces of Plums and the Sauce was like honey in consistency , so it was really perfect for applying onto the Peking Duck Roll . It was amazing and the dish became even better all thanks to the sauces , especially the Plum sauce . Another highly recommended dish. For the mains and rice we combined seafood as we had to get that obviously being a Bengali . The rice we ordered Fukien Fried Rice topped with Seafood in Oyster sauce . This was recommended to us by our server and we are definitely thankful to him. It was a wonderful dish I would say rather than fried rice. This intself was like a dish , but we used it like Fried rice . The Base was a Chicken and Egg Fried Rice which was perfectly made and had the perfect balance of flavours too. It was then topped of with I would say a classic seafood dish cooked in oyster sauce. What that did was that the seafood and Veggies were cooked in the oyster sauce and was topped off on the fried rice with the whole dish , both the seafood and Veggies along with the oyster sauce . The Veggies were - Broccoli , Leeks , Shallots and beans while the seafood were - Shrimps , fish and squids. It was an amazing Fried rice and pretty unique and would really suggest people to try this as not only is it tasty but something different . For the Main dish we ordered the most expensive dish they have to offer - Melange of Seafood . In its description it says that it is served with - Lobster , King Prawns , Scallops , River Sole , Crabmeat and Squids all in a Chilli Ginger Sauce . We found quite a few items missing from the description like the river sole , Crabmeat and Squids were all missing according to us as nobody got them . Not a big bummer but would have appreciated all of them as it is in the description but I guess they didn't have all the items available , but we did have the King Prawns , Lobster and Scallops ( which were huge ) . The best part about House of Ming is that they can customise the heat of your dish according to your palette without taking away the flavours of the dish. As my dad doesn't like spicy food we told them to make the heat and spice 0 and they did it and the flavours were many compromised at all. This Dish was superb too , the flavours were just amazing and I can understand how good it would be with the spice too. But that doesn't matter the dish was amazing. It had some onions and quite a few colourful bell pepper. The Prawns were Huge and meaty while the Scallops were also massive and really soft , cooked to absolute perfection . The Lobster was big too and great in taste . All the seafood had absorbed all the gravy of the dish and really made it tasty. The seafood , all of them were very fresh and sweet just like they should be . It was amazing . We ordered 2 mocktails - Electric Sugarcane and Caribbian Sunshine and both were amazing , I did like the flavours of the Caribbian sunshine to be better as it was cooler too , but the electric sugarcane was very unique and tasty too , it wasn't as chilled though it even had ice . After the meal we were going to order the Creme Caramel but didn't as we were so full . In fact we even lacked up 2 pieces of the Peking Duck with the sauce . While we paid the bill we were brought amazing Caramel Fried Cashew topped with sesame and is truly a classic signature and we loved it . The bill for 2 came around 7.5k which I would say is definitely worth it for what all we had . The reason is that the service is polite , helpful and quick and the ambience is really classic and gives a real fine-dining experience. It truly is a fine-dining restaurant and is truly an amazing place to visit. Highly recommended Chinese restaurant.

House of Ming is the fancier sister of Ming Yang. As you walk in, you can’t help but devote a minute or two to soak in the grandeur and the old world charm. The staff is well informed and very courteous - even the smallest of things are taken care of and that’s what Taj is known for.. I wanted a gin cocktail which wasn’t on the menu - the server happily obliged saying - Certainly madam! Coming to the food - I ordered three kinds of dimsums - prawn, cheese mushroom and truffle and one other - all three were just out of this world. I am going back very soon to try their dimsum brunch over the weekend which they pair with unlimited beer. I didn’t order any dessert because after the food - I had pretty much hit nirvana! Good Job House of Ming Team

The overall layout of the restaurant is authentic Chinese. We ordered Jasmine tea, which had a subtle flavor. For food, we ordered Kung Pao Chicken (recommended but spicy for my palette), stir fry vegetables (highly recommended), fried rice (recommended) and vegetarian noodles (highly recommended). Dessert included creme caramel (not recommended - too sweet and grainy), date pancake (recommended), honey ice cream (highly recommended) and roasted cashew with honey and sesame (highly recommended). The service is super prompt and the ambiance is relaxed.

House of Ming is the restaurant of choice for a special night. This fine-dining restaurant serves skillfully prepared traditional Chinese food. Whether it’s a simple bowl of soup or a dish with many complex flavours, House of Ming does it all with finesse. It specializes in serving sumptuous classics from the Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines of China. The soothing colour palette and white and blue porcelain decor exude age-old comfort while the Yin-Yang philosophy of creating dishes with a delicate balance of hot, sweet and sour flavors delivers delicious food that never fails to please.

A decent Chinese restaurant. We came here late at night but found the restaurant full. It took around half and hour for the food to come but the food was good. The soups were hot and tasty. The fried rice and chicken gravy was good too.

House of ‘king’ once that used to amaze us with the flavours , food and everything else.

But not any more. With some great restaurants now who offer the best dimsum, chopsuey and noodles etc - why would one go to this place ?!

Well we were proved right in that aspect that - there is no reason to visit this place , and don’t know why we did yesterday for my dad’s birthday celebration which was without doubt wasn’t we will remember for house of ming.

Food was below average
1. Honey lotus stem - 2/5
2. Dimsum truffle oil - 3/5
3. Dimsum haricot Beans - 2/5
4 . Hakka noodles - 4/5
5. Burnt garlic Fried rice - 3/5
6. This is an iconic restaurant which I have been visiting since childhood & has redefined how Delhiwalla’s eat Chinese food. The Slow Fried Prawns remains their most iconic dish, deep fried large sized jumbo prawns served with an assortment of lip smacking sauces. This has to be the best prawn dish in India by a long way. They do a lot of exceptional dimsums now. Chilean Sea Bass with Soy is a supremely subtle but extremely flavorful dish. The Chicken Starter deep fried chicken with garlic & spring onion has been there on the menu since eons & is always on the mark. The popular sesame cashews after the meal is worth the wait. In short they have an extensive menu & you will be spoilt for choice. The place is well know for power lunches & you will always spot large groups celebrating special occasions. The HOM opened doors in ‘78 & there fan following has not diminished.
Food For Thought!!
Recently when we visited Delhi we went to house of Min for some Chinese food .
The service here is just impeccable .
We were staying in the same hotel so it was easy for us to locate this popular joint .
We tried the shredded chicken and lotus stem which was just great and the cashews they give at the end of the meal is just delicious !!!
Will definitely be back again when we visit Delhi and will surely recommend to all

The decor and music of the place instantly transports you the magic of the Ming Dynasty. The service and the food was simply world class. Do make it a point to ask the very helpful staff to point out the signature dishes and the chef's recommendations. The crabmeat soup remains an eternal favourite of mine. The wine menu is also pretty varied and has something to suit every one's tastes.

Situated inside one of the finest Hotel in India. Known for authentic chinese in town, outstanding service and courteous staff.

Ordered couple of recommended dishes:

Jumbo Tiger Prawn: Golden fried tiger prawns 🍤. Crispy and so soft on the inside with buttery flavour. MUST HAVE

Shredded Chicken in Lemon Coriander Sauce: Amazing flavours in a single pan. Soy sauce based sauce with hint of lemon coriander with authentic chinese spices.

Hakka Noodles: very basic yet perfect accompaniment. I personally love the quality and texture of it.

Jasmine Tea: Although it’s on the menu. They gave us complimentary Tea Pot. Thats the level of relationship they want to maintain.

Honey Dripped Sesame Cashews: Kind of traditional chinese after dinner sweet light snack. Glazed and tasted really good.

Although little heavy on pocket but the kind of ambience and service they offer really matches the price you pay for it. Overall Excellent.

Follow us on zomato Sonakshi Arora and also on Instagram #Foodiesroad

Very nice atmosphere and amazing food.
Had been there for the first time and I must say it has impressed me a lot. Starters were amazing, main course was amazing and Ice cream was also too good.
5 star rating would be very less for it.

Ordered for Shredded Chicken with Ginger and garlic sauce , Oak Fried Pork and steamed Rice. Very presentably served. Its just so accurate in Taste and ingredients Would love to Visit and encourage people to visit.

We were unsure about trying the roast duck. But after our attendant suggested some modifications to the dish we decided to try it out. Little roasted chunks of duck tossed in a sweet plum sauce were rolled up and served to us. The duck was so flavoursome and so juicy, the plum sauce was divine! The meal was perfectly complimented by the wonderful chardonnay we were suggested to try.

I had gone there yesterday to celebrate my anniversary and my mamaji anniversary. We were a big group of 11 people and the reason I am rating this a 2 is for the service quality

The food was way below average and house of Ming can take a pass by saying this is authentic Chinese not meant for the Indian palate but even authentic Chinese has to have some flavor, some bold strokes but no that didn't happen.

We had ordered multiple starters such as steamed chicken dumplings, mixed vegetable siu Mai dumplings along with lotus stem starter, shredded lamb with spring onion and coriander. None of the starters forced me to say wow. Not to be very mean but I must say that a street side momo shop may leave with me more wow.

We had also ordered sweet corn soup and a couple of drinks (beer). Can't complain here, this probably requires no effort.

For main course, we had ordered kung pao chicken with cashew nuts, silken tofu with chilli black bean sauce along with veg Hakka noodles, burnt garlic fried rice and veg fried rice. Nothing to appetising and by the time I finished eating this I had lost my appetite at the sheer quality of bad food.

For deserts we ordered a rice pudding which was a silver lining and probably one of the reasons why this restaurant is not getting one.i also ordered 3 portions of mango and cream. The mango and cream was a very big dissapointment. For a brand like Taj, I had hoped for excellent presentation with great quality mangoes. Mango and cream is very difficult to go wrong but taj did go wrong with it. Mangoes were not at all sweet and the serving of cream was replaced by a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I have always believed people eat with their eyes and restuarants or brands like Taj are able to deliver that experience quite easily. But I must say deeply let down on a special day like anniversary. On an anniversary, even the smallest of restaurants will give away a small cake for celebrating the moment but taj did not. We had luckily carried our own cake.

When you charge exhobitantly, ensure the quality delivered is superior and the experience delivered is fantastic but I think sometimes Taj does take its customers for granted and this was one such occasion.

Have had generally great experiences with Taj but this definately would be a day to forget.

Reducing the rating from 2 to 1 on the audacity of Taj not even having the courtesy to reply
Decent Place for Chinese Food ...Although it has aged over time...Ambience was mediocre and the food was okay nothing great .. This place needs major upgradation and facelift.... Value for Money = 2.5/5

Excellent ambience for a quite dinner with family.

Had the Bao Char Sui as the starter which was perfectly steamed and the pork was perfectly cooked.
The main course was fried rice and deep fried prawns which was served separately with three sauces : Sichuan , Black bean and one more which was great and prawns were deep fried to perfection.

I had 2 other guests with me who ate vegetarian food and seemed quite happy with that too 😝.

Great food.

Came here after long...the food had a bitter after taste. Very disappointed.
We ordered crispy vegetables, kung pao potato, melenge mushrooms in celery pepper sauce, rice and noodles. How could they go wrong with the noodles though!
The date pancake and darsan was fine.
Sumeet Panda
One of the best Chinese/Oriental cuisine restaurants in Delhi.
To begin with, the decor of the restaurant has a warm oriental touch and is inviting.
Coming to the food, we ordered golden-fried prawns(among the best I've ever had), lotus stem with honey, mushroom bao. All the starters were cooked to perfection.
For the entrées, we ordered the recommended Hakka noodles along with wok-fried chicken with cashew nuts, and sea bass fillet. The sea bass left a little to be desired. The chicken although shredded into small pieces tasted swell.
The food went well with a bottle of Chilean Merlot.
For the dessert, we ordered the date pancake with vanilla ice cream which is like the signature dish here and it was delish.
Finally, the jasmine tea to round off one hearty meal!

I visited this Place on Sunday evening for a Dinner with wife and kids .
All the Taj Hotels are just amazing be it Taj mumbai , Fort Aguda Goa etc .
The ambience of this restaurant was high class with soothing decor and very polite and humble staff .
We came here first time for some good Chinese food and are totally satisfied with food and service .
I ordered 1 Veg PAN Fried noodles , the quantity was optimum for us and the bill was just 1298 rs .
In this budgets this place is awesome and I am looking forward to go quite regularly to enjoy Chinese cuisine .

Last weekend was spent lunching at the House of Ming. The kind of ambiance the place has is bespoke authentic Chinese and the food only corroborates the title. The hospitality is great and the food makes it even better.

Ambiance: Uptown, with a classy crowd. The kind of place you'd like to go which is quaint, quiet and where you could talk. The interiors are good but can be better. In all, it gives a very cozy outset.

Hospitality: Its great. Infact, they even got us a cake for my husband's birthday. However, a slight glitch, they served non-veg to my vegetarian husband, but we aren't that fussy so that didn't affect us much. However, on mentioning the fact, the staff apologized profusely and were visibly concerned over the fact.

Food: The food is the highlight. We had the following from the menu and all of it was amazing:
Vegetable wonton soup
Mushroom in pepper celery sauce: This was exceptionally good. I mean, I'm not a mushroom person but this was outstanding and filling nonetheless
Stuffed mixed vegetables in Hot Garlic Sauce
Hakka noodles and glutinous rice
Dessert: The desert was the highlight. The ice cream was literally the best I've ever had. So sad I forgot the name. But LITERALLY THE BEST.

If you put it all together, if you're looking for some good Chinese food and good ambiance (which can actually be worked a little on, considering the variety we have of Chinese restaurants in the city), you certainly should visit the House of Ming.

The staff is extremely courteous and they were really helpful with my 1.5 year old. He had a gala time with his tiny bits of tofu.

House of ming has a classy ambience with a courteous staff well versed in english. The food is delicious. A perfect restaurant to visit for a an amazing evening. Highly recommended.

It's not a place you can frequent, not only for monetary reasons but also because the food isa big time disappointment.
I had made a reservation here, for a table of four, for a little celebration for my dad's birthday, giving a skip to my reservation at setz.

We had ordered for starters-
Shredded lamb with coriander and spring onions
Crispy tender chicken tossed with fresh chilli and celery

For main course-
Chicken pan fried noddles
Chicken wok fried rice
Wok-tossed chicken, mushrooms and asparagus in chilli sauce
I had high expectations from this place but well, all in vain. There weren't the best of flavours, nothing impressive or exciting about the food. Infact i found it just very ordinary and average.

To top it all, the supervising manager, Mr. Desraj had no sense of courtesy and hospitality to enquire or ask about the food preparation which most restaurants at a very low level do the needful.
There are a lot better places in Delhi, fairly priced, unlike theirs and serving the best of flavours and hospitality.
I have never regretted a restaurant decision as such and even more for a special occasion spoilt and thus, I would strongly recommend against this place.

The place needs no introduction amongst the Delhi’s gourmet circle. It has been one of the best Chinese restaurants for times immemorial. Though I have been a frequent visitor to this place, I decided to pen a review after my visit to on 24.09.17 for dinner.

Being located in a five star hotel the ambience is great and soothing. The restaurant itself is well lit and I prefer the seating next to the windows. The service is excellent and attentive.

Their menu presents a reasonable variety of options. “Glutinous rice and vegetables in lotus leaf” dim sum is my favorite. Amongst their small plates I recommend “stuffed mushroom pak choy soya garlic sauce”. For the main course we teamed “stir fried asparagus, wood ear mushrooms, water chestnuts snow peas” with “three flavored noodles with sesame seeds”. We topped it up with “Spicy Figs served with vanilla ice cream. This dessert is I highly recommended dessert!

Definitely to be visited whenever you want to taste good Chinese cuisine in great ambience!

Always Say no to oriental Cuisine but perception changed after visiting this restaurant.

Loved the Food. As ginger and garlic is the key ingredients of the Oriental Cuisine from where the food earn those flavors.

Really awesome. DUCK NOODLES were new for me in the menu which i really liked also Nice Ambiance and well educated people.

Food Quality - 4
Service - 4
Ambiance - 4.5
Value for money - 4.5
..................................
Suggestion : Some changes must be required in the menu. Also the dishes gone old. Something new required to add on.

the hospitality at Taj is always at its best. ordered asparagus & trio peppers dim sum, wok fried beans & crispy vegetables tossed with fresh chilly & celery with hot & sour soup. liked all of it. never forget to ask for honey coated cashew

Great ambience and super service. However, food isn't that great specially compared to a golden dragon at the Taj Mahal Palace, Colaba. The quantity is also less compared to the price it serves.

This place is our all time favourite. We have been here at least around 10 to 12 times and it has never failed to be a good choice. Their food quality, taste and the ambience is fabulous. the staff is so kind and helping, that one will want to go back again and again for the same. Specially, would like to thank, Mr.Shamsher ji, for his hospitality and care. They serve these amazing sweet cashews, before the meal, that makes it all the more special. Our Classic favourites to order are:-
Mixed Vegetable Sui Mai
Crispy tender chicken tossed with celery and chilli
Wok tossed water chestnut
Pan-Fried Noodles

Its high time that they do a revamp.. they are far behind as compared to other contemporary chinese / asian restaurants that have opened up in town. The options are quite limited for vegetarians atleast. taste-wise the food is ok. nothing great about it and not bad as well. But 'not bad' food is not what one is looking at when dining at such a place.
The one good thing is that the service is exceptional.. the staff will take care of cooling as per your needs.. check on your dietary requirements.. and do stuff which only a Taj can do.. my niece asked for some extra broccolis while being served and they got over in the greens.. so the server actually got us half a dish of broccolis again :-) I guess its only because of stuff like this that do still have regular patrons which includes us as well!! hopefully they are able to revamp once the legalities are done with

I excitedly went for lunch with high expectations but the food disappointed me. Except for a chicken starter all that we ordered was very very average........not at all Taj..ish.
Not to mention the hole it made in my pocket😕💰
Not keen to ever visit again.

If you're looking for very authentic Chinese food in Delhi this is the place you should visit. The clear lemon corriander soup is so amazing that you'll praise it at every sip....toffu curries are equally amazing! The aroma of the dishes itself will fill your mouth with water!!

Beautiful restaurant - Ambience is awesome - Excellent hospitality - Cuisine is good - One can try steamed chicken dim sum, duck & schezwan noodles - Dim sum quantity per plate is not sufficient though.

Apart from the fact that it is a restaurant in a five-star hotel so it has the best of the best staff, best of the best hospitality but most importantly it has the most authentic oriental food.It is not uncommon for a five star hotel chef to make mistake of making indianized version of chinese or japenese food, but here they are doing a perfect job.I still feel that the dessert section needs a little more innovation and/or polishing, although the stuff that we had was not bad at all but some more dishes can should be added on that page. What proved to be a cherry on the top was the caramelized cashews that were served at the end of the meal.

It is a bad Chinese restaurant with 5 stars prices. It's like going to the corner Chinese caterer, and spending the price of a Michelin star venue. If you can avoid it, better for your pockets! If you really have to dine in this hotel, choose the Varq or the Japanese option.

Excellent and attentive Service staff. Authentic Chinese food. Eye catching ambience . Comfy seating arrangements . No doubt why House of Ming is one of the best Chinese restaurant in town. Ordered for Shredded Chicken with Ginger and garlic sauce , Oak Fried Pork and steamed Rice. Very presentably served. Its just so accurate in Taste and ingredients Would love to Visit and encourage people to visit.

One of the best Indo-Chinese I have had in a long time! Had their chicken wontons, followed by schezuan chicken and garlic chilli chicken noodles and it was a bliss :) Desert selection is a little disappointing but the service more than makes up for everything. Also, big thumbs up for their wine selection. Great ambience, perfect date night place :)

Sweet and sour pork with meat. Excellent any yummy dish to eat. Very heavy to eat. Will have to go down on the rates to attract crowd. Can be taken with the family.

I am a pure vegetarian, and I am especially known to have adverse opinions about pure Chinese food, I don't like it, period. I think because, even when I order vegetarian, it comes off as smelling like sea food, and I'm just wanna gag after that.

I went to the House it Ming on the instance of my husband, and now, I can't wait to go again. The food was fantastic and I never really realised Chinese food could be so delicious. It was just so made to perfection, the soup, the starters and the simple main course was made from the freshest of vegetables and I thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. Must go for foodies.

One of the best parts of growing up in Delhi was the House of Ming at the Taj Mansingh.

I went there for lunch the other day, and the best part about it? Nothing ever changes.

The discreet and excellent service. The golden fried prawns. The vast amounts of light that filter in through the huge windows. The crispy spinach. The quiet ambience. The congee lamb...always as a starter, never in the main course. The people you still run into. The spicy noodles. The never-changing order.

I think it's D best place to have authentic Chinese food
Great ambience
Very courteous staff
I had a great time here
Staying in taj for a month I have eaten alot in their restaurants and eating in house of Ming was always a pleasure

If you have grown up in Delhi, then you know the restaurant as a part of nostalgia and growing up

Good for a family dinner, a celebration , a gathering of friends or even a business dinner. Service is homely in its attentiveness and the food is familiar to the taste buds.

Crispy spinach and salt n pepper chicken as starters
The wok tossed prawns in garlic sauce, crispy congee lamb and the wok fried chicken in black bean sauce

The menu and the order remain unchanged for me.

It's reliable food in one of our old charm hotels should you happen to visit.

Truly an authentic chinese experience in terms of both food and feel of the place (ambience).
Well crafted Menu - the perfect blend of hot+spicy dishes and light+subtle flavors suitable for all kind of taste buds.

Was here to celebrate one of the special occassions, the experience was absolutely delightful. Here is what we ordered -
To start with -
Vegetable wonton soup with sour pepper and wok fried rice with vegetables, flavored with burnt ginger and celery - The soup was outstanding in taste and so was the small platter. ☺👍

For Main Course -
1. spicy sichuan noodles with pickled vegetables and chilli - I am big fan of spicy noodles and this dish took my madness to the next level. 😍
2. Stir fried asparagus, wood ear mushroom, water chest-nuts and snow peas - Recommended for all pure vegeterians. 👌
3. wok fried rice with vegetables flavored with burnt ginger and celery - I have had rice with burnt garlic flavor many times before. I ordered this one specifically for burnt ginger flavor and was satisfied to the core with the dish. Perfectly cooked, balanced flavors with that uniqueness of burnt ginger. 👍

This amazing meal was incomplete without the dessert, we chose to order Crispy Date Pan cake served with vanilla ice cream on staff's recommendation. And this was the SHOW STOPPER.
☺👍👌😍

All this lovely experience becomes even more special with great service, beautiful presentation, class and amazingly polite+intelligent staff.

Overall Rating:
Food - 5/5
Ambience - 5/5
Service & Staff - 5/5
Cost - A fine dining resytaurant from the TAJ...I hope, need not to say more.. ☺

I hardly say yes to Asian food but I am glad I did it for this place.
Great quantity.
Tasty food.
Lovely ambience.
Will surely visit again.
Awesome experience.

Last week we went to the House of Ming for lunch. It was an excellent meal and very good service, Taj Hotels have set a high standard for themselves and surprisingly they always come true.

The best plate on the order was honey glazed spare ribs, the weakest was the chicken. Not that it was not good but the fish, prawns and spare ribs were better.

A suggestion to dinners if House of Ming will excuse me for this, miss the sweet dish instead sit at the Emperors Lounge a few steps from the House of Ming and order an assortment of pastries or any other sweet you will enjoy the experience.

I will not take another moment to declare that this is my most favourite place in Delhi for chinese food. And on top of that it has the added hospitality of the TAJ. Love their food and my absolute favourite is the gravy of cauliflower and cream. I use it as a starter and it is an absolute delight to binge on the whole dish. Besides this the whole menu is great so order anything. Cheers!

House Of Ming Has Served The Best Chinese Fare In Delhi For Nearly Five Decades now! This Restaurant is Historic in Significance for it was Responsible for Introducing the Spiciness of Sichuan Cuisine to Nothern India. They Steer clear of Indianising the Menu for Good Reasons! Chefs being Flown in from the Chinese Province Maintain the Authenticity of the Cuisine.

It is the Cooking Styles of Canton and Schezuan that the Chefs at House of Ming have adopted in the Repertoire. While the Schezuan Style offers Deliciously Hot & Spicy Fare, the Canton Cuisine Pampers the Palates of those who Prefer Subtle & Light Food. The Oriental Music & Decor Definitely Added to the Experience.

Was here with my Beloved Parents to Celebrate their Anniversary.I was Recommended this Place by a Dear Friend who was Quite Impressed with their Dedication towards Serving Traditional Chinese with a lot of Finesse! I too found the Presentation to be Impeccable with Decent Portions for every Dish!

1) Commencing My Meal with Chinese Staple Dimsums - Assorted Mushrooms, Cheese & Truffle Oil Blew My Mind being so Delicious! One of the Best I've ever had.

2) The Crispness of the Peking Onion Pancake was Delightful Indeed!

3) Lotus Stem Tossed with Honey & Dry Red Chili - This Sweet & Sour Recipe Tickled My Taste Buds, Outstanding in Taste!

The Mains are a Long List of Aromatic Gravies with Multiple Proteins!

4) Stuffed Mix Vegetable Pouches in Hot Garlic Sauce - Pretty Usual as a Dish thought the Veggies Moulded inside - Broccoli, Beans had a Nice Crunch.

5) Stir-Fried Asparagus, Wood Ear Mushroom, Water Chestnuts & Snow Peas in Pepper Celery Sauce - A Vegetarian's Delight - Have never Really Enjoyed a Chinese Main this much Before.

6) Pan-Fried Noodles with Assorted Vegetables & Garlic - Slurpy, Soulful, Absolutely Delish!

7) Wok-Fried Rice with Vegetables, Flavored with Burnt "Ginger" & Celery! - The Rice was Cooked **To the Tooth** & I Loved the way Ginger gave a Unique Taste to this Rice Preparation!

8) Honey-Sesame Roasted Cashews were Served at the End of the Meal - Sweetness & Deliciousness in Every Bite & the Combined Health Factor - Goes without Saying!

World of Class & Culinary Delights under One Roof! Tried their lung fung soup, stir fried shredded chicken with ginger garlic and fried rice. Everything was perfect. It's a great place to treat that special someone. The staff is courteous and the ambience, absolutely perfect.

Well it's a fine dinning Chinese restaurant with royal antique ambience. I liked the food here it has authentic Chinese taste. But I felt that they lack in variety of mocktails. But deserts are outstanding.

House Of Ming the exclusive Yin-Yang themed restaurant. We were there for Dimsum lunch & the chef describe us about importance of Yin n Yang and offered us to start the food journey with variety of dim sums. All the dimsum served to us by chef himself and we go by his recommendation.
Chef Zhou Jian has 20 years of experience and he has created exquisitely crafted menu for House Of Ming.
Tried their mixed veg dumpling and pan fried dumplings with colacasia sticks. The eggplant in yu xian sauce is delicious and not to be missed.

My favourite Chinese restaurant in Delhi - paid a visit this afternoon after a very long time and the food was brilliant as always. Today the ordering was left to somebody else and we had crispy spinach, shredded chicken in hot garlic sauce with some noodles and egg fried rice. All the dishes were fab - Would be back for the seafood soon.

Follow me on Instagram @SPICEITUPWITHSAM

Good service, good food. Steamed Chilean sea bass ginger chilli sauce was very good!!. I was told it's the first luxury Chinese restaurant in Delhi..

We went to house of ming for dinner, the experience was pathetic, the place is clearly overhyped. Their recommended dish- spinach with chilli was high on salt..and it was definitely not very appetizing.
Singaporean noodles is one of their apparent *delicacies* however it was nothing more than a bowl of vermicelli...and literally tasted like worms.
WORDS OF WISDOM-LET THIS PLACE BE.
Stuti Chandra
The ambience, service and hospitality are absolutely impeccable. This low rating however stems from a basic absence of anything outstanding about the food. The golden prawns were too good. But then...I am fond of chinese...and this certainly wasn't worth the money! You could get the same taste at your nextdoor Mainland China.

Best Veg Hot & Sour Soup on the Planet!
Enough cannot be said about its goodness.
And the rice crispies to go with it- takes you back to childhood.

Nice, quiet and classy... a Taj Mansingh hotel resturant so that is expected.
Very bad service. They were extremely short staffed on a Saturday night which I am sure is one of their busiest nights. We waited for 45 minutes for our appetisers to arrive. We were trying to be patient and not throwing our weight around therefore were being completely ignored. Got the food in another one hour. We were very tempted to just leave. It was loud and overall a bad experience. One expects good service and a good dining experience when one goes to Taj but we were sorely disappointed. Food was not bad but the wait killed our appetite.

I often visit House of Ming and its always a lovely experience; so today i thought ill write a review about it. Being a vegetarian, i like places which have a good number of options for us vegan people and this one definitely has!
The staff is always courteous and i like the ambience.
Tonight i ordered ming's lemon soup with vegetables. The soup was just how the name goes. If u like lemon and you like veggies, you'll love it!
Then for starters, i ordered pak-choi and sesame dim-sums, stir fried spinach leaves and spicy steamed silken tofu with broccoli florets. Dim-sums were a delight to my palate, the spinach leaves were something new that i tried and i liked the crunch. The tofu n broccoli was nice because I'm a broccoli lover and my husband is a fan of tofu but i must say the tofu was so nicely prepared that it just melted in my mouth.
For just the two of us, all this was quite a treat so for main course we just ordered spicy Sichuan noodles with sesame and pickled vegetables; now for this dish, i should warn you that if you cant bear spice and if you don't like a little crunch in your noodles (roasted sesame), then its not an option for you. I loved it coz i love spicy food and sesame.
Now, i always like to end my Chinese treat with Chinese tea. So do give it a try!

I hope you'll like the experience..

This is a throwback review. I was wondering why I haven't written one for my favorite place in Delhi. It has the best of everything. Period. I'm convinced, you can never be disappointed at House of Ming. Can't wait to be back their again.

My first visit at the house of Ming and it was a 'delight'! The ambiance of the restaurant, the classy decor made you feel as if you're in China!
Warm welcome, impeccable service, delicious food and a fond farewell from the chef exceeded our expectations.
Dimsums are a must try!
What to order- crispy spinach,
glutinous rice and chicken, oriental twice cooked pork.
Experience it once, if you haven't yet!

Ambiance 4.5/5
Food. 5/5
Value for money. 4/5
Overall 4.5/5

Well done!

This restaurant in Taj hotel is something everyone should visit. The food here is spectacular and so is the ambience. The place is nice and classy and the colours are very soothing. Also the table setting is very attractive. The service here is really remarkable and the staff is super courteous. I have had their dim sums, tofu, noodles and rice and they were all delicious.

What a place to be! This place defines class. What a beautiful place. Went back to house of Ming after more than a decade. I hardly remember what it looked like but my dad says it's the same as ever. The food was amazing. The crispy spinach is my favourite. Loved the Chinese greens in black bean sauce as well. The staff was courteous enough to get me the bulls eye for dessert from
Machaan. Loved my dining experience here. Though the place is a little slow on service, they should think of increasing the number of staff members. Being understaffed is never a good thing! But all in all a great meal with great feel.

this is a great place because the food has a traditional flavour and the hosts are very kind and are understanding. The restraunt is extremly stylish and it is very peaceful.

We keep going back to the restaurant for the Chinese food just as we like it: not too bland, not too spicy. The food is full of flavour and the taste lingers on. This time we tried scallops -- absolutely delicious. We're surely going to go back for it! Other favourites include Chicken wanton soup, wok-fried rice & Singapore rice noodles.

You want Chinese food? There is no better place that will serve you Chinese food as amazing as this place would! Perfect ambience! Authentic Chinese! Amazing tea in the end! Must try the lotus stems there!

I absolutely love House of Ming! I highly recommend the crispy fried spinach with red chilli because that was fantastic! The ambience, service and pricing is great for what it is. The drinks and the mains were also up to expectations. Taj never fails to stand up to expectations & if you're looking for great oriental food, it won't fail to impress.

This is a will be a top notch hotel always but let me first start with a tip
Larry China in taj Vivanta almost has the same menu lower prices and almost same taste
But this is a iconic restaurant where the Chinese premier has also dined.
They have canton, schezuan, cuisine styles.
Roasted Peking duck is a signature dish and it is very good.
Tender steak was medium to rare with bbq sauce was amazing
Stir fried squid in black pepper sauce was my dish of the day
Overall a restaurant that stands in quality excellent service and still one of the most prominent place to dine in
DrRadhika Bansal
The restaurant lacks the feel of luxury dining. All my points are for the staff for being so polite and courteous. But I am disappointed with the food, atleast the vegetarian options, because they lacked flavour. It felt like eating chinese/sichuan food at a north indian restaurant.
Karun Ansal
If you are looking for indian Chinesse food like fujiya, or ichiban back in the day, then you can visit this place but if you are looking at some of the nicer places with good food and great ambience then you need to look elsewhere. Food is way below average for my liking and it was all too Deep fried and tossed in the same sauce . It is a very prime property and then should think of revamping and reopening a new outlet here now .
