Review Tk's Oriental Grill - New Delhi

Gaurav Kachru
Been going to TK's since it launched and that is a very long time. What is fabulous is they have maintained the standard of cooking and delighting clients with incredible flavours. Still one of my favourite places for a quick bite. While the ambience was incredible for the 90s, it's not as enticing anymore. It deserves a good refresh. And the alcohol is overpriced. So enjoy their delicious food after grabbing a drink in a nice bar with great ambiance nearby. Or the other way round. Ciao!

A live kitchen experience. Edamame beans are a must to try. Vegetarians can enjoy noodles. Try hot chocolate brownie as well. It’s a place where you just sit, see live cooking and enjoy the ambience.

Loved the experience. You can pick plenty of meat and veggies and cooked into front of you. Chef was great and catered to our taste. Service is slow but worth it. If you're in a hurry won't recommend. Only suggestion is would be good if someone explain how to go about picking and mixing for buffet in the beginning for first timers.

Absolutely loved the experience here. I tried the buffet Teppanyaki which was super delicious. Right from the soup to dessert my experience was nice. I like how the chef provided recommendations basis the taste you're looking for. And the green coconut seafood gravy just blew my mind. The flavors were great and food well cooked. Ambience was wonderful and the staff service was good. Definitely a must visit place.

Loved the staff and their warmth. Everyone was accommodating and allowed us to feel at so much ease. Desserts were fantastic. Teppanyaki was a bit too saucy for my liking but the wonderful attitude of the staff more than made up for my picky tastes. I felt the decor could be refurbished as it looks worn out and dated and not even remotely Japanese.

Excellent Teppanyaki Experience. We ordered the Teppanyaki Set Menu. Highlight for us was "Sautéed black tiger prawn, spinach, oriental yellow curry" Highly recommend. Service: Very Cordial Staff. Special thanks to Chef Sunil who made our evening a memorable one. Tip: The set menu is enough for 2 people. We accidentally ordered 2 sets and struggled to finish everything between the two, however the staff was kind enough to pack the rest.

We had a plan to visit some other Grill but TK's Oriental my fancy and I had to try it. Language barrier can be an issue but their chef personally came to talk to us. I tried Cottage Cheese tacos and burger and both were amazing. The food quality was excellent. Their sangria is the finest I have ever had. A must-try place especially during the night time. Good for dinner dates and dinner with friends or family

Japanese style with Indian spice on the grill, very worthed and you can get nice show from the chef. Worth your time and penny to go here. Definitely a must go place.

Hibachi is a term you may have heard of if you live in the US, or watch a lot of English tv series. For me, it was a foreign thing, till we decided to visit TK's. You sit next to a huge grill and the chef cooks your food in front of you, and it is definitely an out of the ordinary experience. We ended up paying about 6k+ per person, we were four, but that's also probably because we ordered the Lobster too. All in all, money well spent, because it's definitely an experience you don't get in India usually. As the host of the party, the smiling faces of my guests gave me the satisfaction all hosts look for.

I believe Hyatt Regency has the some of the best restaurants in Delhi and TK's Oriental Grill is one of them. Posh and upscale, it's a great place to hang out and enjoy your meal across the teppanyaki table. We tried the Edamame beans which is a hot favourite. Spicy minced chicken worked just fine with some chilled beer. We ordered grilled Salmon which was an absolute delicacy. Chicken teriyaki with Chef's special rice was our last order for the day and I think we over-ate. It was a pleasure to watch the chef at work and totally enjoyed the evening.

Major disappointment!! Have been coming to Tk's for a while now but this kind of priceyess by the staff is unaccounted for. The restaurant was completely empty and yet we were told that the restaurant is full and there is no space. The food was below average so maybe they shouldn't act so pricey and focus on the quality of food more. The management really needs to be taught well.

Excellent experience. Chef Bhuvan cooked up an amazing array of tasty food for us. Arijit our server made our lunch unforgettable. We have been regulars for years. Keep it up Team TK's!

Teppanyaki is an art where the chef basically cooks live by indulging the audience into his style of cooking. Here, it basically felt like we are behind the restaurant in the kitchen and the chef is boringly cooking and we are just waiting for him to serve so we eat. Noodles and Rice had soo much soya sauce too. The veg miso soup smelled like fish. It was a waste of teppanyaki and great insult to teppanyaki. Trying teppanyaki across the world and then landing up here was sheer waste of time, taste buds and money. NEVER RECOMMENDED.

One of the best places to have some amazing food live cooked by some amazing chefs in delhi. A small tip also have some roasted garlics

Fine outlet!

The food was good and the live grill experience was nice but the portions of the dishes should be more and it was expensive. I ordered chicken soup and i was surprised to see that soup because it was the smallest portion of soup i could imagine.

This place never disappoints. The live teppanyaki grill is very exciting and enjoyable for every food lover. The food is cooked with minimal ingredients but are literally like a dynamite of flavours. My favorite is prawns in yellow curry and chicken in teppanyaki sauce.

Grand Hyatt Regency is a good place to enjoy your meals with family.

Ambience is good but the service is a bit slow. Might be due to our weekend visit.

We ordered
* dal makhani
* garlic naan
* veg biryani

The overall taste is good.

Would love to visit again👍
The best live kitchen in Delhi and lively ambience. Thai summer dream in mocktails and everything in food is a must have. Great for a family outing.

My first teppenyaki experience and it’s a good one. While waiting for the good, seeing the chef prepares it was great. You get to choose how many dishes you want and he prepares it right in front of you. Good food and great experience.

Good food is good mood so this place will definitely serve u good oriental food and make ur mood & evening really good . Must try - yellow curry , fried rice , tofu in coriander sauce . Your food gets cooked right in front of you . Overall a great experience . In dessert Almond cake is a must have though I wasn’t really happy with fried ice cream as I have had much better at other places .

My absolute favorite place! It’s an amazing establishment with great service, excellent teppanyaki style food, great pairing of wine and absolute fun! I am such a fan of this place that I have taken a special membership. This is a place where I bring my friends, business connects and clients.
You have multiple options to choose from in the menu but my absolute favorite is the yellow curry prawns and the special fried rice made with the sticky rice. Just a bite of this yellow curry with the plain sticky rice can take you to heaven! Pair it with other amazing food and a glass of wine and you won’t want to get out of here.
The best part is of course it’s staff. The live chefs are fun to interact with and over the years they become almost like family. Once they know your tastes they take control of your cravings and serve up dishes of amazing taste.
The serving staff has a sixth sense in built into their attitude and they serve to delight!
I recommend this place every time you are in Delhi.
Sweta
Heard a lot about this place but was disappointed. Nothing was too great plus the food was TOO oily. I can’t understand the reason behind everything behind drenched in oil. The extra oil could be seen around the food and the taste was like drinking oil. Health is also important TK’s. Some people might even be used to this oiliness unfortunately...
Tushar Chaudhary
The food is average and still passable! But the service is slow and pathetic. Expect to ask/remind your sever a few times before he can deliver even the menu or a glass of water. Every time I visit this Hyatt property I remind myself not to show up again. This visit to TKs was after more than a year and was mainly to entertain an out of town friend.

Tks, is an all
Time
Favorite! The meal is always power packed with wholesome flavors. Chef Kunga, always adds that extra spice level that I love.
The sushi is always fresh! The edamame is crunchy, Thai curry and steamed rice is my all time
Favorite.
But the best is the chicken black bean which some spicy edamame fried rice !
Always comfort food.

Tks is one of my favourite oriental cuisine restaurant. It has a very different concept where the chef prepares all the dishes in front of you. All the dishes are delicious!!
Snigdha Rani
The food is also very nice and portion size is decent. I would recommend to try eudon tempura noodle soup which was very nice and filling. The staff is also very nice and interactive, you can deffinetly ask them for suggestion and know anything you want to about your food, they explain it quite well. Overall the expirience was very nice and will be back for more.

FAVOURITE PLACE! Good for a lunch or dinner; the staff is very courteous and friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. My favourite is the oriental yellow prawn curry. Also, don’t forget to ask for a portion of garlic chips to spike the taste.
Nidhima
Best Japanese food in town ! They have live stations and also let you cook. What I love here is the miso soup, minced chicken salad, chicken in black bean sauce and yellow curry prawns. The fish is good too ! Don’t forget to have the fried garlic with your food.

This place is superbly amazing. Located down the stairs in the Hyatt Regency ,feeding on the food here only made me hungry for more. Its on the expensive side , but if you go with the right person who has the membership then it does cut down your cost a lot. Sushi lovers will love this place. Had ordered a lot of things as i was celebrating my birthday here . Dined under the shadows of some Teppanyaki style cooking, dishes were landing hot & sizzling in front of us. I started with Yellow Thai Curry & some Sushi along with drinks. And it surprised me to find myself craving for more.

My favourite restaurant in Delhi, and has been for years. Been going here ever since I was a kid, and although I didn't enjoy the food back then, I certainly enjoyed the egg tossing and the chef's antics. The spicy minced chicken is second to none. The garlic chips are one of a kind. The lamb in green curry is my favourite dish. Chicken is black bean is a constant which can't go wrong and the desserts are standard but mouthwatering especially the sorbets. The service is also usually impeccable.

Sahil is a top-notch chef and certainly my favourite. There are a bunch of others too, who are very good. Work on making the Tepenyaki more entertaining like it is abroad. With the chef's cracking jokes and performing stunts.

Favourite restaurant in Delhi by far.

Brilliant Teppanyaki food is served and promised here. Love the part that the food is made fresh right in front of your eyes. You can modulate the spices and the flavours as per your choice. Another good part about this restaurant is that even if a dish is not available on the menu, the chef can prepare the same for you as per your taste buds.

If you are a member of Hyatt Hotel group, you can avail heavy discounts too here.
Always a pleasure eating at TK’s
Inayat Singh Sistani
One of The best food I’ve ever had and very courteous staff. Have come here a couple of times now and always looking to come back. Very expensive though, but a club Hyatt membership card really helps

Comfort food, as always!
Very flavorful and perfectly spicy. The tempura sushi was well done, the chicken was tender and perfectly spiced and the rice! Just perfectly cooked.
Superb live-counter asian food restaurant, deliciously made by the chef. You get meals made as per your taste buds and then witness the best asian delicacy in town!

It is always a pleasure to have teppanyaki food since it's made right in front of you , they use minimal oil in their food preparations . The things I usually have when I come here are :- sugarcane juice , miso soup ( it is yummy , served in a small cup without a handle ) , their sea food teppanyaki is yummy , I've always asked for king prawns teppanyaki which is served with soya sauce , I love the noise made when the chef quickly skill fully moves the knives .... We usually order either handmade or Hakka noodles.
Noopur Abhishek
I came here for lunch today, and the restaurant refused to give us particular seats because there were certain guests who had reserved particular 'chaies'. Interestingly, there were no signs saying reserved, the restaurant themselves said that this is nowhere on their policy. There was a water bottle which was meant to 'reserve' the seats for this preferential treatment of certain 'regulars'. They gave me random seats, with a very poor view, in an area where the AC wasn't working.

After I told him that I'll put this on social media, as an afterthought he offered the place. It reflects extremely poorly on Hyatt management that they would disrespect a customer who had a reservation at their restaurant.

This is an amazing place if you desire live grill, they have an amazing platter for sea foods and

Prawn Tempura
California roll sushi are a must

One should definitely try the chefs special yellow rice (mix of chicken and prawn )

Also one should ask for garlic chips which they chef specially prepares it as per request.

DISAPPOINTED !!!

We were 8 of us and planned to celebrate my Best Friends 30th at this Expensive place. We opted for 1 veg and 2 non Veg menu -

VEG SET MENU 3495 plus 29 % Taxes = 4508 INR

Non Veg Set Menu 5495 plus 29% Taxes = 7088 INR

Sea Food Set Menu 5495 plus 29% Taxes = 7088 INR

and a Glass of Pinot Noir Red Wine.

My Bill was around 21,000 INR and trust me guys For someone who is from working class is coming and spending this means it has to be really really special occasion. We sat and waited for 20 mins for chef to come and start making food for us as it was a live kitchen. After good 20 mins a chef turned up and introduced himself and asked what deal we opted for. After discussing what we want (Chicken / fish / prawns ) he started with his preparations to cook and serve us. He had just started only to make the dish a GRE interrupted in between and wispered something to chef. He left the dish in between and left somewhere. Again we waited for 15 mins for food. After 15 mins he turned up and started making dishes.

Ok.... Here you go .... Chicken in black bean was the best. tenderloin we didn't even taste as it was smelling a lot. Fish was nothing great. shushi platter was pathetic !! Yum Yum cha serves the best shushis and I recommend all shushi lovers to go at Yum Yum cha and try. Who Forgets wasabi in shushi platter ...well TK's did !

Anyways ... Being a member of Hyaat , I am never Going back to TKs again nor my friends !

2 Stars are just for Our Server Gaurav and Desserts :)

TK's you guys really need to pull up ur socks.

Cheers.

My all time favourite Restaurant for much more than a decade and still is !!!

There is nothing to beat like this Restaurant concept. Love it like anything.

A must place for people who love/enjoy teppanyaki style of cooking. I have been to this place quite many times now and have mostly been happy. While there seating won’t appeal to many, friendly faces along with good food more than compensates for it.

Their prawn in yellow curry is an absolute must to go for. For vegetarians, the mushrooms with vegetables is amazing. Their fried rice preparation is also delicious.

What I usually avoid here is the chicken as not that it’s bad, it’s just they don’t make it as good as their prawn or fish dishes.

Overall, definitely worth a repeat visit.

Weekdays dinner at Tk's, visited with a friend. Average food - I didn't like edamame or sushi, not real taste. Presentation was good and service attentive. Wine they served by glass was excellent- I had a glass of red Pinot noir from new Zeland I love ! Nice to hang out here for a casual dinner - not romantic
Rahul Bhutoria
After a long time I had a great meal. I told our chef Sahil I will go with his choice. First he (our chef) started with some garlic and then tofu and then vegetables with pesto. Yes with pesto. And it was great. My friends who were enjoying non veg (with they said was outstanding) also found it outstanding. Thanks to the chef and TKs for a great meal.

Good service and food. Went their with not such big appetite. Ordered for standard garlic chips, shredded chicken, sole fish with ginger-garlic-spring onion, Thai yellow curry with prawns with steamed sticky rice. I am a fan of garlic and could not resist the crispy garlic chips - simply made to perfection but ⚠️ warning - you may smell like a garlic all day. Chicken was great too with right flavors and perfect sauces. Sole fish was customised as per our likings usually they serve it with oyster sauce but we made that without it and it indeed great. TK’s certainly can’t go wrong with Thai curries but I have had better ones. In my opinion, the food portions were a bit restricted.
Reece Lxman
So much hype!!! All to do about nothing apparently! Overated and ludicrously overpriced. The food is just about good at its best and disappointingly average otherwise. Plus you'll have to wait a lifetime
Suhasini Mukherjee
This is an extravagance you need to treat yourself to. Go for their set menus for dinner and you will not be disappointed. Japanese food is more than sushi and you'll know just how much more when you come here. Try their prawn tempura, the minced crab, the black bean lamb. Or just ask the waiter to help you out. Very helpful staff and super chefs. Always a treat watching them cook right in front of you! Unfortunately, they've stopped the knife play so don't go expecting them to juggle their knives around.
Hitesh Chadha
Absolutely amazing how they have maintained their quality and consistency, been going here for ever and we as a family love it. Keep it Team TKs
Rajat Suri
One of the most outstanding teppanyaki restaurants in Delhi. The food is really amazing. It’s ur lucky day if one of senior chefs is taking care of you. But even the sous chefs r well trained and present an inviting fare.

Brought in existence as a repercussion of industrialisation for a finer living, convenient money flow and better upbringing of their off springs, the system of nuclear families has been around us since the 13th century wrinkling ménage. Like the rest it also lured Japan into its grip, and the society suddenly came down to being all about the married couple and its concubine. But with escalating rate of contraption at daily basis, the Japs have taken the theory of nuclears and confused it with practises of solo living. Living in one single cubicle, the younger generation as a result of finding it difficult to achieve a conjugal bond, have now found singular happiness experiences in daily activities, Teppanyaki dining is one of such practices.
Teppanyaki, is not just a style of Japanese cuisine that uses, teppan which means iron plate, and yaki which means grilled or broiled, infact its a squared live station surrounded by solo chairs for individual dining escapade. Assembled for a short span relationship between the host and food, TK’s oriental grill at hyatt regency offers a variety of orientals like Indonesian, Japanese and Thai.
Welcomed on the table with yoso, a sauce consummated with spring onion, mayo and white wine and elephant fried garlic, i bonded with the creamiest it could be, veg uramaki California roll, skewered pork belly yakitori cooked in Shichi-mi tōgarashi or the seven ingredient spice and brittle yet potently sweet prawn tempura with mirin, green tea salt and soya.
Gazing around with the sneakest eye existing, there i saw my man walking with a tray towards my table top with the ingredients to concur my taste buds and vision. With the smoke raising up to the chimney, my meats were solidifying. Black bean chicken alongside shiitake were sizzling away in butter, while my shrimps were laying in their lemon coconut bath water and thai flavours.
The escapade was reaching its end when my moist mud cake covered in belgian chocolate went down my throat.
TK’s grill is the best that we have in the heart of this country.
Noor Faizaan
TKs Oriental Grill is a concept restaurant that does not only serve chefs specialties but also offers the diners a chance to pick their choice of meats, sauces and vegetables and then ask the chef to cook it to their expertise..

A great place to have some great Japanese/Thai food! Ambiance is top notch, with great interiors and really good service! The food is no less either! Pork belly was really delicious! The sauce complemented the belly really well. But I wanted some fats in there as well. But all in all, it was super yummy! The sushi, spicy California Roll was simply amazing! One of the best sushi’s I’ve had by far.

Food: 8/10.
Service: 9/10.
Ambiance: 9/10.
Value for money: 6/10.

I still cant believe, this place has a 3.9 rating ! is it the complex rating system or food acceptance. really a big debate left for some other day.

If you are a teppanyaki lover, this is the closest you can get in Delhi (of my experience).

All the meats, seafood are fresh and the quality is great. of course they don't sell kobe because of rules here. i was surprised to see so many vegetarian options at this place.

the ambiance is great and cozy, its a perfect dinner options and is usually busy in the evenings.

i have been going to this restaurant for almost 3 years now and its a must try !

suggestion - go for the package menu which is usually sufficient for 2. if you are a hyatt member - you get 50 percent off, which costs you less than any Japanese restaurant in town

Starting off with the ambience, its a very nice place with good interiors and is very spacious, adding a live grill to it is very nice and looks good.

Delicious food.
The decor is awesome. Good ambience.
Wide variety to choose from.
Every dish speaks for itself. The aroma, the presentation, the taste everything was perfect.
The food was very yummy.
#If u want perfect food then this place is worth going.

Great Ambience, awesome food ...do order garlic flakes as side order. You normally require a reservation before hand or else getting a table is almost impossible also be ware that the valet charges rs.200 for parking...

They have the best pizza in india and their salads are amazing. Tried there fresh buns with Parmesan cheese spinkled with oregano along with ceaser salad. It's yummy! This has to be a must visit place in everyone list

Excellent Food!!! Had Yokoso, which is the 11 course meal, main course is prepared live in front of you which is very interesting. Must visit.

Lovely Thai oriented food!!Has a good mixing and blend of sauces in different non vegetarian food..Buffet is a must here!!Whereas it has good decor to fix the mind and stomach!!

So if you like...teppanyaki...your pallet will have a great great experience because not only the ingredients they use are fresh but the way they cook it is just a different level treat to watch . The a la carte menu is vast but not that promising so my suggestion would be to stick to the grill. The staff is courteous and welcoming but can get very nervous and forgetful when the restaurant starts getting filled. I guess they need to fix that rope there. Overall you will have a smile on your face when you walk out . Yes, its a must go.

Must: The grill, Pre book (for window seating ) , Both the veg/non ved menus are great / The dessert will surely make you go suger crazy ( They are yum ).

Avoid : Pre eating ,

cost: On the higher side.

Overall : A sure shot yes.

A bit overpriced .However, some of the dishes are to die for especially the house special fried rice , Red Thai curry , asparagus and cucumber sushi to name a few . The staff is friendly and courteous , and the ambience is great.

A must try for the lovers of asian cuisine .

Compact Sunday lunch offerings, with quality at the forefront. Well executed menus without the fluff. Even the regular menu features great sushi, and of course the teppanyaki grill is fantastic. If you haven't been yet, it's a must do.

It has been a long time since I last visited this place. It used to one of he favourite spots of my family, but somehow it just got left behind as newer options opened up. But last night, I decided to go back n relive the old memories.

So we ordered the following items:
Lat ma gai chicken
Sautéed black tiger prawn
Shredded chicken in black bean sauce
Chef's special sticky fried rice
Sautéed udon noodles

The food was great - especially enjoyed the prawn in yellow curry, lat ma gai chicken and the udon noodles.

Worth coming back. Hopefully, the next trip would be sooner!

Loved the food! Must try the yellow curry prawns 👌🏻 just amazing and even the chefs special sticky friend rice is to die for. I really enjoyed my meal it's was succulent. The ambience was also good. One of my favourites for sure now!

The weekend is not the same without a meal at TKs. A 29 year old Tepoanyaki restaurant, the place has a loyal base who dine there regularly. Dining at TKs takes some getting used to, and seating is sharing a grill with other people you may not know. The Mongolian Brunch, a key attraction, is a must have. Available from Monday to Saturday, the brunch is a customised take on the food you have. It starts with soup, sushi and a starter, which you can keep having till your heart is content. You then have to pick your choice and combinations of vegetable, meat, rice or noodle. The chef will then prepare the food in front of you, customised to your liking with a range of sauces and flavors: black bean, oyester, hoisin, green curry, yellow curry and red curry. The curries are among the best you'll taste anywhere in India. An all you can eat Tepoanyaki meal, TKs is good value for money if you have the Hyatt Membership. Watching the chefs cook is a pleasure, and seeing how Garlic chips is made will amaze you. That it tastes that much better is icing on the cake. For desert you have options: the mango and Champaign kafir like Sorbet will make you addicted to it, while the warm almond chocolate cake will just melt in your mouth. TKs if not anything else, is an experience everyone must have.
Anwesha Choudhuri
I am a true loyal patron of this place! Have been coming here since I was 10, maybe be even younger, and i can say that the experience has been wonderful every single time. Maybe I am a bit biased because, a lot of happy memories are attached to this particular restaurant. But, one thing I do know for sure, this is my favorite restaurant in the entire world. I have come here for almost every single birthday and food has always been impeccable!

Though their menu has changed a bit over the years, their signature dishes still are the pillars of this wonderful restaurant (along with the cool teppanyaki chefs, because you get a dinner and a show). TK's minced chicken, Rock lobster tail, TK's tiger prawns with oriental yellow curry (though not their signature dish anymore), and sticky fried rice- are my recommendations at this place. They used to make mouth-watering duck as well, but I dont see that on the menu anymore.

Hyatt is obviously heavy on the pocket, so I suggest going there to celebrate your special occasions, the staff will turn your celebration into a remarkable one!

I have visited this place many times but my last visit was quite disappointing.
The standards of this restaurant aren't what they used to be earlier.
I went for the after noon buffet and the dish that the chef made was the opposite of what I had expected.
The mud pie and the ice cream was decent though, but again not up to their standard.
Anamika Mishra
I tried over 7 authentic Japanese and Thai cuisines which were made in front of us as there is a live kitchen. (I also tried my hands in cooking with the Chef. The dishes I tried were Meso Soup (which is an authentic Japanese soup with silicon tofu and spring onions), Yakitori, Fried Garlic, Veggie Thai Pesto, Veggie Tanpura, Veggie Thai green curry and Japanese stick rice and ended the meal with Fried Ice-Cream!

In a relentless pursuit for good Teppan Yaki in Delhi, I ended up at this place. The decor may not have been so swanky but the food compensated for it. Or shall I say, it went far beyond mere compensation...

The tenderloin was cooked to perfection, while the salmon melted like butter in my mouth. My sweet tooth was more than satisfied by the warm chocolate tart at the end. Teppan Yaki addicts, this place is better be your number 1 fix!

Have been going to Tks since many years. We had booked the table for 930, eventually got it at 10
Pm. We had arrived late but they were well informed that we would be arriving late. Then the waiter ( Abhishek Rana) took 20 mins to serve me my wine for trying. After that also, the service was very average,we left with a very bad experience. Not expected from a chain like hyatt. Very disappointing.
In July 2016, was staying at Hyatt, so got a chance to visit Sushi Place, We had a very good time here, the Live cooking was super, I still remember that lady who cooked for us, she was very talented and the sametime very fast too, If i remember we had Steamed Japanese sticky rice, Vegetable Fried Noodle, Seared Cottage cheese, Thai Basil, Silken Tofu, wrapped in banana leaf, e.t.c.

Really overpriced but there are a couple of dishes on the menu that stand out. Lat ma gai which is small pieces of chicken cooked in a delicious sauce. House special fried rice and the Cochin snapper are amazing.

Great authentic Mongolian Concept Dine-in at Hyatt Regency.
Different new & live kitchen. Went with my friends for lunch, as we were new to the place that place the hospitality were so good, the makes us understand the concept. Though it is a buffet menu, but they served complete meal on our table. So as per our choice, our cheff served the authentic menus, including thai and Asian prawns, basa, tuna, chicken and lamb dishes. Also served tuna Shushis, chicken salad and soups. Atlast they served brilliant deserts, 5-6 flavoured icecreams. Great to taste their Champaign, rasberry and Belgium chocolate icecream.
Beautiful ambiance and such great hospitality. Will definitely visit again.

Love this place for a long lazy lunch! Reliable food and service!

F&B: I have only been here for lunch, and I have always opted for the set buffet, but Ive enjoyed my experience each time. Not a soup fan so I always give that a miss. The salmon sushi is yummy and so is the minced chicken salad. The choice of veg and non veg ingredients to make your own teppanyaki dish is vast. Love their sauces/curries too! My favourite concoctions are chicken in black bean, prawns in yellow curry, salmon teriyaki and veggies in green curry with noodles and egg fried rice. Haven't tried any drinks here, but I enjoy sipping on the Jasmine tea. For deserts my favourite is the RASPBERRY SORBET!! Must try!

Service: good, prompt, friendly, can get busy over the weekends so service may lag.

Ambiance: good

This is one if my favourite places to visit whenever I'm in town but sometimes it lives up to its expectations and sometimes its slightly diassapointing.I generally go for the buffet they serve during lunch time which has a lot a great options to try out. If you know what you like then you get the chef to customize the food to your taste .
Overall its a good experience

Great Place..Authentic Ambience (well you share tables)..Not a fan of the steam coming right on your face but thats Teppenyaki for you...Fixed Menu is great but you need an appetite for it..Loved the Sunday Brunch..great options for Wine's and Champagne's ...Overall Excellent

Amazing Japanese food. My favorite dishes are minced chicken salad, Cochin snapper, The lobster and the sushi. The set menu is also a good option.

Great food. Pathetic Service. Nobody picks up the phone for a long time if you wish to make a reservation. Service is really slow. Waiters disappear leaving you in doubt about the status of your order. Unexpected service from something so popular

Head and Shoulders above all...
TK the Teppanyaki to die for.
Simple and understated interiors with the most amazing chefs one can find.
I love how they interact with us whenever we dine there.. Awesome Miso soup and one of the best fried rice ever..
The sense of hygiene is amazing in this place and no wonder it still rocks after more then a decade of running

Great place to be anytime any day. Considering that it's in Hyatt. Awesome food selection and preparation. Chinese is good. The non veg sizzler is amazing.

The place has not changed much in terms of décor with workstations typical of a teppanyaki grill room. Ceramic tableware was eye-catching. The fixed buffet lunch started with soup, Chicken for the carnivores and Miso for the vegetarians. The Chicken soup was piping hot, spicy and tasty. Miso was disappointing. The soup was alright with mild flavours but biting into the tofu pieces within gave out an unusual, not too pleasant taste. Sushi was staid. The charm of sushi is the play of textures and flavours, salmon with avocado being a sure-fire winner, or even salmon with spring onions. Here, salmon had to do a lonesome dance. Chicken salad however was exceptional, with crunchy sprouts and fine mince playing with Thai flavours.

We chose our meats, vegetables and carbs (noodles and sticky rice) from the buffet table. They were cooked in the open kitchen around which we were seated. I was flummoxed when the chef asked me if I wanted all my meat cooked together. Lamb, Chicken, salmon, shrimps all together!! ( or were they prawns? too small to tell) It made me feel rude to have to ask him to cook each of them separately. Shrimps were done superlatively in a yellow curry sauce; Chicken in sharp and pungent blackbean sauce; Lamb in sweet and mild hoisin sauce; Salmon in a subtle but charming butter garlic chilli sauce.
A trip down memory lane tripped me down at TK’s Teppanyaki Oriental Grill, Hyatt Regency,
This is a restaurant that I used to visit quite regularly in the late 90’s and early years of the new millennium. After a gap of many years I visited it this week.

Noodles were too salty, perhaps because of the surfeit of soy sauce that the chef doled out generously while cooking. But Sticky rice was perfect with snowpeas, broccoli, capsicum and dark mushrooms adding exquisite texture and taste. Our sweet cravings were ably met with by Chocolate mudpie and white vanilla flavoured icecream. A sugar-free cheesecake was brought from the coffee shop for the insulin-compromised companion which was a sweet gesture on the part of the restaurant. Strong bitter coffee was served in interesting looking glasses.

Nostalgia took a nosedive
Right at the beginning of the review I had mentioned that I was visiting TK’s teppanyaki Grill after many years. There was a sense of nostalgia that urged me to visit it despite La Piazza being my first choice at the hotel. The classy buzz that used to embrace you at TK’s of yesteryears was missing. Our teppanyaki table was shared by a group of raucous, cacophonous, boorish kitty party ladies. After being exposed to their continuous barrage of high-decibel, chinese torture, we requested the waiter to intervene. He stoutly refused. The restaurant manager to whom we appealed for a change of seating was both helpless and hapless. Finally, a passing senior manager got to know of our discomfiture, apologised and got us to sit away from the cacophony.

When the bill was presented, we saw to our chagrin that the restaurant had offered us a generous discount. There were profuse apologies from the manager. However, it gave only a pyrrhic consolation. Even if we had been offered a free meal, the experience, the unchecked cacophony, the restaurant’s policy of non-interference, not caring about the experience of fellow diners, left a bad taste in the mouth.

The Bible says, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” The group could have been given a table away from the rest in the interiors of the restaurant. We could have been given a better table, especially after our repeated appeals. It was subsequently offered at dessert time by which time the experience had made a sad dent already.

Earlier, the chefs used to be inspired, tossing an egg here, twirling a knife there, engaging in happy chit-chat with the diners. I saw no joy. They went about their work, mechanically. It is with a sense of loss and longing that I left TK’s that day. Loss of better times of yore, longing for the birds to chirp once again in the Japanese garden.

Foodelhicious
The only live kitchen in town that impresses us. The teppanyaki specialities have all been mastered by the chefs here. This place made me fall in love with sushi. All the food here is totally authentic Japanese. Do ask the chef for suggestions after telling them your preferences.
One if the most recommended restaurants in Delhi.

Went for a sunday brunch with some cousins..
We got seated at the teppanyaki table..
As a part of our choice, food and selective drinks were unlimited.. we ordered a lot of veg and few non-veg dishes..
we were disappointed to see that the amount of vegetables being used were very limited, and we had to request them every time to get more veggies and add them for live preparations..
Even the service for drinks was very slow and at times I had to ask for sumthing as regular as fresh lime atleast 3-4 times..

Such things make you feel that this is happening because its an all-paid package and the less they will get, less we will have..

I can expect this from a regular restaurant, but not In any 5* restaurant..

Disappointed with the service .. tables (or teppanyaki counters) are dirty .. manager and waiters don't have a helpful attitude .. service makes me feel like I've come to a government canteen.

I was quite disappointed in the food , 4400 for 2 people including taxes and I was pretty excited since I am passionate about Japanese food and speak the language as well ! Plus its Hyatt Regency !
The food was sub par and below average, I do not mean to be mean since I know running a hotel and chefs job isn't easy, but this is my experience !
We got a tiny plate of 2 sushis and a soup and am oversalty and left over chicken salad. (We could order multiple times but I didnt )
As for the main course there were just a few ingredients including chicken , tofu , vegetables, prawns, rice and noodles.

It was a little disappointing when I asked the chef to make black pepper prawns which uses oyster sauce and black pepper , shallots and garlic, I got a oversalty buttery prawns , with no oyster sauce nor enough pepper, the taste was dissatisfying.

Secondly I asked the chef to prepare yueng chow friend rice, he did not know what it is, and after explaining he said I will do it, and what I got was pork , rice and 1-2 vegetables and lots of soya sauce and hoisin sauce. The results were quite sad, since it was just a mix of random items and the 4 sauce bottles kept on top of the cooking station.

The ice cream was grainy, maybe due to being old and inclusion of ice fragments.
Once again I am aware of the tough jobs of hotels and chefs and do not mean to be hateful. But this was my experience.

A hotel of such stature should definitely look into the above factors ! Thank you, hope to see am improvement and eat soon.

Okay this place is really old and this wasn't my first visit. Tried their pork gyoza, tk special minced chicken salad and smoked salmon maki roll for starter. The portion sizes were decent enough for 2-3 pax, pork gyoza and salad were very good. I can have that warm salad again actually. As far is sushi is concerned hav had way better at other restaurants.
For mains had their phad Thai noodles, chefs special sticky fried rice, prawn in yellow curry, and lamb teppan... In all there was nothing wrong ,,, prawn in yellow curry was delicious, the lamb tasted good but the lamb could have been done better ... I dunno if I will visit again ... I'm just thinking ...

Pathetic Service

The food is decent but the service level is pathetic. Also the favourites of the restraunt were out of stock overall a very bad experience.

Went to TK'S on Sunday after a long time, the food was as good as ever, i still believe it is no 1 for teppanyaki food, there fish was excellent chicken was tender and for my Veggie friend the eggplant miso sauce combo was lovely.

This is by far my favourite restaurant in town. Ive been coming here for years and Its never disappointed me; the food has always been great as well as the service. The burned garlic is always good as usual and so are the chefs preparing your meals for you! Don't ever go wrong TKs!

The first time I ate at this place was about 20 years back and it became my favourite place to eat .Nobody did teppanyaki like them . Today its still the same . I happened to try the 9 course Veg Sachi and I enjoyed every bit of it till the end. I really enjoy watching the chefs cook in front of me , it really fascinates me the way they bring it all together in minutes. Highly recommended . .

One of my most favourite places in Hyatt- tk's. I've always loved the food at tk's be it dinner or lunch. You can't go there without a booking unless and until you like waiting for half an hour or more. But trust me even the wait is worth it.
The ambience and seating is really good. It gives you a personal touch and you feel as if the chef is cooking for you right in your kitchen. I personally love the set menu where you get a minced chicken salad with sauce and soup with burnt garlic chips. You can then select your own ingredients including veggies, meat, chicken, sauces and more with an option of rice or noodles and hand it over to the chef. The chef will prepare your meal using a tapenyaki grill. You can even instruct the chef for preparing your meal. Then comes different grilled items prepared in front of you. And in the end comes dessert where they offer you selection of ice creams with fresh fruits or chocolate tart or a lemon cheesecake.
Overall it's an amazing place with sensational food and it deserves 5 on 5.

So many birthdays in my family have been celebrated at tk's.
One of the best restaurants in Delhi for oriental food and live cooking right in front of you. The chef's are experts, with their food, humbleness & presentations. You will find all the food flavours in a perfect fine dining experience.love to come here again & again. Highly recommended:):)

I'd been wanting to go to this place since eons and when I did get a chance it was all alone. The staff pampered me and came to me time to time to enquire if I was comfortable, considering I was a lone diner. Luckily, I had an entertaining family seated on the same table, who made my dining experience even worthwhile .
I took the lunch buffet wherein, for starters I was served chicken minced salad, miso soup, paneer dumplings and sushi. Paneer dumpling was more like a dahi ka shola, nowhere close to oriental, still wondering how it reached the TK's menu. Nevertheless, everything was done to perfection. I was served a tuna and veg sushi, which was so delectable that I almost ate 8 pieces of it. I didn't really have the taste for sushi, but not anymore. I'm now on the lookout for the best sushi places in town.
For the mains, I had chicken with lots of veggies made in teriyaki sauce done on the live grill with egg and peanuts rice. This too was lip-smacking. Due to an overfilled stomach I couldn't try the prawns in yellow curry, nevertheless i keep this for another time.
I had the raspberry sorbet for desserts and this was nice too, but a less frozen a more creamy. This was one scrumptious meal I had.
All in all, I'm all praise for TK's and their super quick and extremely courteous staff, who make sure you get the best service even if it's a super crowded Saturday afternoon
Keep up the good work!!

One of the greatest restaurants in Delhi for teppanyaki cooking and very good service

To begin with I'm a regular here and probably get great service for that fact I'm very grateful to the entire staff for always making my meal a very memorable one

My choice is often limited to ordering the Cochin red snapper the Thai green curry with sticky rice and dropping it off with a very cold glass off dry Japanese beer

Other worthwhile mentions are the spicy tuna rolls yakisoba and the fried garlic chips

So folks head out if you haven't been there and let me know

Bon appétit

Love Tks .. Food is always great and the whole experience with the live grill is something I never get bored of. So u pick your veggies, meat, rice or noodles and take it to the chef. Decide your sauce and he makes it in front of u. Yummmmm.
