Review Yeti, The Himalayan Cuisine - New Delhi

Yeti Located in Haus khas village is a very unique place I recently visited. This restaurant is based on a very Nepali-Tibeiean theme ,the interiors here are spectacluar. I fell in love with this place the minute I entered. Talking about food: Starting from Mocktails: Strawberry Shake &Watermelon Mojito: both the mocktails very refreshing ,as one needs that in this hot weather in Delhi. Soup: Veg Thukpa: The quantity of this soup is quiet a lot, thankfully I am not a small stomach. This is a veg soup with noodles and lot of veggies, I must say it was extremely yummy than I expected. Appetizers: Macha Tareko: it’s a deep fried Singhara fish. Good to taste. Shabaley: these are pie shaped ,deep fried momos like in chicken. They tasted yummy and were very well cooked. Chicken Dry Fry: are chicken chunks with peanuts, very well flavoured with garlic and herbs. This dish ison a little spicey side, and very yummy to satisfy your masaledar taste buds. Main Course: Veg Thakali Thali: This thali is a winner at this restaurant. Quantity is perfect for two people or more . It includes Fried kerela pakoras, Aaloo pakoras, various pickles, big portion of dal, mushroom in tomato gravy, Rai ko saag, papad, Steamed rice with curd. Rai ko saag and dal stand out for me in this thali. I couldn’t have enough of it. Since it’s a Himalayan thali it is not accompanied with rotis .but overall this thali was outstanding than I was expecting. Deserts: Yomani: these are nutella stuffed dumplings in plain words,it’s a very different desert I have tried yet. With vanilla and chocolate icre cream..My sweet tooth was completely satified. My overall experience at this place was amazing,I am really looking forward to visiting this place soon.

Wonderful little restaurant serving authentic Himalayan food, best to visit in the winter since all the hot, spicy dishes are appreciated much more in the cold weather. The momo soup and fish fry were delicious and the mutton "bara" was a lovely surprise - I'd recommend it for breakfast especially. Overall great food, pleasant ambiance, attentive service and very affordable (less than 1500INR for 2 people). We'll most definitely be back soon :)

Not for the weak hearted... The Himalayan kitchen is everything it promises to be. The interiors makes you forget the congestion outside and transports you to the mountains. The menu is a very well researched and diverse fare from the mountains. However watch out for the spice levels... Which comes without any warning... You need to caution the server of your fiery levels. Other than that a nice experience.

Great place for good quality food, and I am told good Tibetan food, by some of my gourmet friends. We were a group of eight and ordered a variety of dishes, even a Thali. The meat dishes were very good. Tried all the options available in a limited way, due to the group that we ordered in. Thanks to Zomato Gold we also got a few dishes free on account of the Zomato Gold promotion. The food was quite sumptuous, tasty and a bit on the heavy side. The only complaint was that the Thali took very long to arrive. So the person who ordered had to wait. But thanks to the generous portions even he ate from the others. The atmosphere is quite nice. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Yeti kitchen offers nice variety of Nepalese, Bhutanese and Tibetan food to choose from. Pros. 1. The place is coz and has good ambience. 2. Different veg and Non veg items to choose from. 3. Thupka is worth trying. Cons. 1. Waiting time is large and often gets irritating. 2. Staff is poorly trained.

I am truly in love with this place. The ambience and food everything is really good this place. I really loved the Chicken Momos, they were very juicy, had perfect stuffing and were steamed perfectly. I also tried the Jhol Momos, which was quite unique for me and I loved it, the curry was delicious and just perfect. Visit to Himalayan Kitchen can never be complete without having noodles, which were pretty decent, and was stuffed with a lot of vegetables. Also, Nutella Momos are something which you can never miss here. Definitely a must try place.

Whenever we think of Hauz Khas Village, instantly one is reminded of chaos of loud pubs and night bars. Yeti is a calming influence amidst all of these. Located on the second floor surrounded by pubs, Yeti is a quiter restaurant where you can enjoy the cuisine from the Himalayas as they call it with low music, bright lighting making it a perfect place for chit chat. The menu boasts of select Tibetan, Nepalase and Bhutanese dishes . While the bar is still not operational,Yeti on the cold beverage section doesn’t have vast offerings besides some basic mocktails, shakes and juices. Our meal started with some shakes and Mojitos of different flavours and one could sense the freshness levels with the first sip. The next in line was the TINGMO, steamed bread of Tibetan cuisine, Yeti steamed buns was served with three types of chutneys : Schechwan chilly chutney Peanut chutney White sesame seeds chutney Any Meal at Yeti is incomplete without a bowl of Thupka. Thukpa is a Tibetan Noodle Soup, which originated in the eastern part of Tibet and eastern and northern part of Nepal. Thupka at Yeti comes with assorted vegetables and noodles, derives its main flavour from the minced meat that's added into it along with ginger and garlic. Simple, yet a gastronomic delight. The next starter we ordered was the CHICKEN DRY FRY, which turned out to be a delightful Tangy dish - Chunks of chicken tossed in pepper, peanuts and some Tibetan spices MACHA TEREKO - Fresh Singhara Fish lightly very lightly layered with just a hint of masala and fried, perfect. MOMOS – The manager was kind enough to provide us a mix of stemed momos (buff, chicken, pork), Stuffed generously...Juicy that the moment you take a bite juices ooze out tantalizing your taste buds!!! Satisfied with the offerings, we decided to order their Thali for the main course and boy what a treat it was. Their Thali had mushroom, dal, gundruk, sadeko, cholai saag, piro aloo, vegetables, achar, papad, curd and rice........All dishes were mildly flavoured with no excessive masalas retaining the original tase of the specif ingredients….Perfectly accompanied by crispy karele ke chips .......Dal tasted like the gharwali dal which made you feel at home. Finally, it was time for the dessert. We decided to try their in house dessert called YOMARI - Dumplings filled with nutella and served with vanilla ice cream was a perfect end to the wonderful meal. Special thanks to their staff Kaushal and Navneet who were constantly their toes and chef Anil who was courteous enough to come to our table and take our feedback. Highly Recommended

I think this is going to be my new favorite place for dine ins! Loved the ambience, loved the nepali music, loved the food! I tried the veg platter, veg dumplings, aloo dumplings, ginger lime, yeti special, veg thali and the nutella dumplings! Can i say this place serves the BEST veg dumplings? YESSSS! They had the thinnnest layering of maida and yet so filling. I dont know was it somemagic? TRY TRY TRY The ginger lime and the yeti special is FANTABULOUS, no kidding.. The wai wai in the veg platter is to die for and the so is the kala chana! The paneer in the veg thali was all hearts along with the dal( maa ke hath ka khaana yaad aagya quite literally). The saag too is worth the special mention! The icing on the cake were the nutella dumplings, where the nutella was oozing out which gave me slurp goals altogether! A must must must visit !

A restaurant that serves food from across the length and breadth of the Himalayas (barring Kashmir): Nepal, Tibet, and even the North-East. We tried the chicken thukpa (good, and a huge portion size too), a Yeti special fried rice (excellent), and the pork lemon fried, which is one of their signature dishes and is an absolutely must-try if you like pork: it's really, really good. For a little less than Rs 1400 for a meal for two adults and a child, this is superb value for money.

Chilly fried rice With small pieces of chicken is very tasty, a Himalayan touch with peanut sauce. Ambience wise it's average and gives u the feeling of Bhutan kind of places. It's on 2nd floor. Staffs are courteous. For food you can try again but for ambience, one time visit is OK. There is nothing special that special to see

I am an ardent fan of Himalayan cuisines and therefore Yeti at GK2 has been the favourite place for dining for me & my family. GK2 one is sadly shut it seems in these times. I happened to come across this Malviya Nagar one which gives an option for delivery and assumed this would be as good as any other Yeti ..... I was horribly & terribly wrong. I will lost down the food i ordered and the experience was absolutely horrible as the food was overtly and supremely hot n spicy 🌶 to the extent it was not edible .... yes it was NOT edible at all !!!!!!! The veg Thakali thali and the veg platter which Yeti chain has always been famous for .... fell into this category. Eventually we had to throw the food as it is which is quite sad as it was not editable at all by any of the family members.
Vegetarian and Aloo momos were a complete disaster.... I didn’t understand how could Yeti ever go wrong with Momos ..... momos were tasteless with no flavours and they were full of water ... yes water and not any flavoured sauce or curry ... plain water !!!!!! Complete disaster .... the Malviya Nagar should not be allowed to use the brand name Yeti at all ..... the experience is disappointing for Yeti chain fans & loyalists .....

Who the hell had the idea to put CHEESE in veg momo? Absolutely atrocious. You guys ruined a perfectly safe and healthy dish and wasted my money. I’m extremely upset and angry.

My first order and I find a hair like thing stuffed in the tingmo. 😬
All i can talk about is food. Amazing place to have tibetan cuisines. Their tibetan platter is a sure shot to go for. We ordered Tibetan platter that included: waiwai bhel, tingmo (tibetan bread), chana bhutaka, sauted potatoes. Also ordered chicken momos kurkure, jhol momos and fried rice. They serve sufficient quantity of food and we had to almost get the leftover food packed.
All in all, the food was delicious and is a must try place. I want to revisit soon as soon as this covid settles down.

YETI is unbeatable in taste when it comes to momos. Their chutney/dips are spicy yet yummy. Anyone craving momos? This is the place to go.
We have been to Yeti around 12 times now but we haven't tried the whole menu yet - it is so vast. Plus we have favorites - aloo momos, mutton momos, chicken dry fry - that we have to eat when we go there. Everytime we eat here, the food is amazing, the staff is courteous and ready to listen to our questions and customizations. We just love this place.

Now that majority of the restaurants have started delivering, I decided to satiate my momo cravings with Yeti. It has always been my go-to place for quality Himalayan food and it did not disappoint this time either!
Mutton momo were as usual juicy with thin covering letting the meat shine through. Also, my fixed order at Yeti includes a plate of aloo momo which tastes delicious with their spicy chutney! Also had their thakali thali for main course and had a happy filling meal.

Recommended!!

I have been a Yeti fan since it started. It has been one of our go to places for amazing food or even order in. Lately the service and food quality has been horrible. The taste is just not the same as it used to be, the quantities keep changing with every order and their famous dipping sauces are also pretty flavourless. I heard the owners have changed and so has the team. It’s sad to see such a great place go down the drain. In my opinion they should shut shop coz all I have been hearing lately is disappointing feedback and below average food.
Twinkle Thapliyal
I dint like d food at all...
Sakshi Balani
I ordered today thinking that I would give Yeti another chance to redeem itself because the last time I ate there, the food was very bad. Ordered chicken and mutton momos and cheley. All the food was swimming in oil and flavourless. Even their dipping sauces, which I used to relish have become watery and flavourless. It's so disappointing to see one of my favourite restaurants fall from grace. Never ordering again from them; I've learnt my lesson.
ES1314
Very disappointed with the order! Definitely not the quality n taste we were used with Yeti! Ordered after many months and for sure not ordering again! It was one unique restaurant but really quality has really gone down

Yeti- The Himalayan Kitchen serves the best and authentic Himalayan Cuisine in Delhi.

Talking about ambience, Yeti has very pretty attractive and cozy ambience. Golden prayer wheels, mats covering the windows, Tibetan Flags will give you a feeling of Hill side cafeteria.

Coming on Food. I ordered Aloo Momos, Wai Wai noodles and Ema Datchi.

1. Aloo Momos is something which we don't find on the streets of Delhi. It was so unique and its their specialty. And believe me it was super tasty.

2. Wai Wai Noodles is just great. Spicy, mixed with alot of veggies makes it upto the mark.

3. Ema Datchi was cheesy and rich creamy curry. I ordered this on the recommendation of waiter. Totally loved it.

Now coming Staff and Service. Staff is polite, courteous and helpful. Service is quite slow.

If you want to experiment with your food for a day, Yeti is the place for you. Totally loved this place.

Food Rating:4/5
Ambience Rating:4/5
Overall Rating:4/5

Follow @yehdillihaimerijaan on Instagram for my food journey.

The service was easily the worst I have ever encountered. Waiters sat and stood staring at us, while we waited for almost half an hour for a basic order. The only thing that came quickly was the bill.

Whenever I have craving to eat pork, I come yo Yeti ! The location is awesome as its in the Hauz khas village area. There pork chilli is something to die for, its delecious. The aloo momos here is so unique and its their speciality. The ambience is cozy and staff is helpful enough to help you with the menu. The overall taste of different food that I have tried here was very Good. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
Moumita Das
Have visited this place on a number of occasions. The aloo momos are not be missed. In addition, the mutton momos are excellent- so are the jhol momos. They also make excellent fried rice and noodle soups. Moreover, the vegetarian appetizers are a great way to start any meal. Their thalis are very generous and worth trying because every item on it, from the dal to the saag fry is excellent.
Shatmanyu Singh
The food served is very ordinary. Staff is unresponsive. Cutlery also was not very well cleaned.
Snigdha Bhatnagar
One of my fav place to have wai wai noodles and momos 🤤🤤
They serve the best Himalayan cuisine in delhi
I ordered veg wai wai, veg momos and veg thupka. Thupka was good but I really recommend to have momos and wai wai

Ambience- 4/5Service- 3/5
Food- 5/5
This Tibetan/Bhutanese/Nepalese place is set in the middle of Hauz Khas Village. The ambience inside is quite original with the golden prayer wheels inside. The view is also quite enchanting since it looks right at the lake. Service was good enough. Nothing out of the ordinary. Food didn't take too much time also but that might be because of the kind of dishes we ordered. The food was really really good. We ordered Dry Thupka and Chicken & Potato both of which tasted quite authentic. This joint is especially good for people who eat pork as they will find a good variety of pork dishes here. On top of it all, having Zomato gold definitely minimized the damage to the wallet as well. P.S.- Go for a stroll by the lake or in the deer park once you're done stuffing your face with food.

Good Ambience and good food. I had chicken datchi and it was delicious!! It is served with tingmo (Tibetian Bun) try it out. It's tasty. Gonna visit it again.

Best food if you are more inclined towards chinese food. Though its not chinese. Its famous for Bhutanese, nepali, ladakhi food. The taste is absolutely brilliant.
If you want something hot and spicy , this is the place to go for. Also , the accompaniment that they serve with the food . Forgot the name , something more of a potato pickle. You will actually try it again to understand the taste. I have been there around 20 plus times .. The ambiance, the slow music makes you feel you are in the mountains ..
********* highly rated

A regular to this place, I have always loved Yeti’s Tingmo with Pork Fried/Masala. Kokra ko Ledo curry is an all time favourite and definitely a must try with steam rice when you’re here. A big shout out to Yeti for keeping it original and tasty !

Nice place to visit if you are found of Himalayan cuisine. Must try thupka and their dumplings. Complimentary spicy aalo given by them is also very unique and tasty

Yeti in itself is a brand they're known for their variety of momo
Talking about my experience welll jhol momo I didn't like much but steamed momo were best it was juicy as well as flavorful price wise it is bit overpriced but trial is recommended 👍

The staff is highly unprofessional. I had reserved the table quite well in advance. Despite that they made us wait for good 30 mins. I eventually left after waiting this long.

I went to Yeti-The Himalayan Kitchen, Hauz Khas on a weekday noon. The place was amazing. The food was delightful. Loved the way it was presented and the quantity was enough for two to three people.

One thing I didn't like about this place is we waited for so long for food. The service was very late.

We ordered-
🔸Butter fried beans- It was served with Tingmo (a Tibetan bread). It was super healthy but taste wasn't that great. Rating:3/5
🔸Wai wai noodles- Wai wai noodles were spicy and taste was upto the mark. It has a loads of veggies. Rating:4.5/5
The outlet has zomato gold on food which was the sole reason for me to visit.
A detailed review is on my instagram: @foodswerve

well not the fare i expected...the steamed dimsums both chicken and veg were passable nothing spectacular...chilli chicken was average too... the yeti veg platter was bland and was very less on flavours and spices...not a very nice experience..

The food was an experience here .
Such
Chicken Mothuk - momo soup -5/5
Chicken Noodles -5/5
The soup was so deeply flavoured. Along felt like a warming bowl of broth.
The noodles had great texture and were delicious.

Definitely can't wait to try their entire menu. 😄

Visited this place along with my friends. I like the ambiance but it could be good though the interior was really beautiful. I had Yeti special thukpa, Chicken momos with Pineapple juice as my drink. As I did heard about the place, the place did not disappoint me. The food was great and the taste was delicious! Food was served in the brass utensils.
Wish you guys all the best.
Tapping the 4 stars. Keep up the good work. :)

This was my 6th order of veg momos from Yeti in last 1.5 months and 6th order was not even worth eating...Tasteless momos, waste of money...Seems like you are tired of me ordering, so i stop now!!

Tbh I come to Delhi to eat here only at times, that definately costs a lot.

i ordered yeti special themtuk and it is very very nice... this is the best one that i had in delhi until now. i'll try other menu next time as well.

First things first, I love the food here since 2015. Especially the Momos and Sha Datchi, brilliant preparations esp for the cheese lovers. But after coming to this place after a long while and getting treated to such inappropriate staff behavior came as a shocker. Typically I have recommended this place to so many people for a very long time, but today was an altogether different experience. Would request the management to kindly train staff better and not make them snatch a bowl from the plate in the middle of a customer eating food !
Madhya Jain
Food quality is really great. I do love the atmosphere. We love what we were trying to do. Momos was amazing and it was too good to dip sauce. Food served is tastefully good. The staff are also friendly.
Pakhi Jain
The place never disappoints. Their mutton Momos are amazing! The nepali chicken curry was spicy, but great! Had a bit of a homemade feel to it!
Radheeka Mittal
it served the best Nepalese, Bhutanese and Himalayan Cuisine. From the Humble TIngmo, to the Juiciest Momos and the spiciest mushroom

What we ate. I am not kidding when i am saying we ate a lot and here goes the list.

1. Thenthuk- A flavourful Eastern Tibetian Style broth with hand pulled noodles. I mostly avoid all kinds of soups and broths but this was so delicious with the perfect balance of flavours , salty, sour spicy and more that i polished it off till the last drop.

2. Yeti Veg Platter- Served in a Thali, it s set of 3 Nepalese snacks with TIngmo- Aloo Sadeko, Wai Wai Sadeko and Bhuteko Chana

3.Crispy Spinach- A tibetian Snack , this is my favorite, deep fried whole spinach leaves with onions can go very well with a pint of beer. We had some of the choicest mocktails to accompany this.

4.Momos- Veg and Aloo- The vegetable momos here are the juiciest I have ever eaten in the city. Huge little dumplings, of spicy filling, perfectly steamed with a choice 3 dipping sauces.

5.In the Maincourse we opted with the Mushroom Daitchi. - Daitichi is Bhutaneese comfort food at its best, an indulgent broth made of cheese and mushrooms accompanied by a warm bread, the few bites takes you into an intense food coma.

6. We ended the meal with Yomari, rice flour dumpling with nutella and chocolate . Though by the end of the meal we were so stuffed that moving was almost unimaginable we could not resist these decadent dumpling.

Okay this is my 3rd time visiting the place, After a bad and okayish experience,
I leave this place satisfied to the brim.

The Ema Datchi was rich creamy and cheesy like how it should be in the Indian Varations of Nepal Food.

And the Jhol momos were much appreciated as well.

Kudos in improving yourselves.
Haus Khas Village is worth more going to now

Rishika Bhalani
This place is a cosy gem. They offer authentic tibetan food and we lived everything we tried (noodles, aloo momos and the veg platter) extra 👍🏼 for the aloo momos, it was something new and just delicious.
Shriya Kannaujia
They serve the best momos in the world... Not just Delhi or India, but seriously the world... I keep going back and they have maintained the consistency of the amazing taste quality and flavours.
Aditya Gupta
Perhaps this place has the best momos you'll ever try. It's a fascinating lil place inside hauz khas right to the end, but given all the difficulty, the walk is all justified. Workers are in the area and there is good sustenance. Also the washroom and tables have a verified degree of neatness.

The quality of food is really good 😊

Cozy restaurant with Nepalese style architecture. I love the ambience too. Food served is very good in taste. The staffs are friendly as well.

The ambience is pretty attractive. Mats covering the windows, big bell metal bells, Tibetan flags will save your trip to Himalayas. It's a perfect place where you can find a variety of Tibetan, Napalese and Bhutanese food.Nepali Thali or Thakali served on bell metal utensils.
Served on the platter you will find:-
Dal-bhat-tarkari:- Dal served with boiled rice i.e. bhat with paneer curry. Your taste buds will feel like gharwali daal.
Korela Bhuteko :- This is something unimaginable. Never thought that karela can be tasted so deliciously. But this Crispy Fried karela will make you forget the bitterness of karela. I still can't get over!!!!
Gundruk sadeko Achar:- Fermented spinach tossed with mustard oil, onion, garlic.
Accompanied with Papad, Achar, Curd, the perfect condiments for such Thali.
Most recommended if you are looking out to experiment 🤟🤟

I passed though this place whenever I was in HKV to other place. I thought many times to try this place. Couple of week back tried this place with a friend. The ambiance is decorated so well.
We love what we tried. Momos were amazing and dipping sauce was too good. Nice staff and good service, recommended.
Manish Parashar
A quiet abode right next to that noisy pub, Yeti satiates the carnivore in me. I had Gyuma, Bhutun and sliced pork with veggies. The sausages were delicious and the spice mix, pleasantly surprising. Gyuma was good as well, although I am yet to compare it with the other goat intestine dishes on the menu. Sliced pork is okay, and I've had variations of this at other places. Veggies were sparse. They charge a 10% service charge. I hope they also start keeping hot beverages, like chai, chocolate. Shall visit again.
Sreejit Dutta
This has been my go to asian place over the last few months. The food is good and always tasty. My favorites are dry chicken + tingmo or soup + tingmo. The thukpas are nice as well. The starter platter is also something I recommend.

It was indeed a joy to be there at Yeti

Food- Food was awesome. Ema Datchi is seriously a must try plus their “Kothe” Momos. We ordered them twice rather.

Ambience- Goes with the name. Totally catchy.

Service- It was quick. Staff was courteous. Especially ‘Sandeep’.- he made great efforts to make our visit memorable.

Ambience 4.5/5
Service 4/5
Food 4.5/5

It was my first experience of himalayan/pahadi food. The ambience of this restaurant is quite nice and it's on the first floor above amplifier pub.

The service was good and the waiter understood our instructions well.

Thupka was something that I tried and it was delicious. I was initially apprehensive but my friend convinced that one dish would be enough for me. The quantity as well as the quality were very good. Surely would recommend to go to this place.

Great Ambience....We ordered Chicken Curry with Steamed Rice and Chicken Momos. The curry was perfectly spiced and the portion was generous.

The chicken momos are amongst the best I have tasted for they were juicy and delicious. The filling was mildly spiced lending it a special texture and flavour.

The decor had a rustic appeal with wooden interiors and the staff was courteous and patient.

Would surely visit again.

I may have forgotten the names of the dishes I have eaten there, but I do remember the experience. The ambience was amazing, the staff were very helpful too. I particularly remember the aloo momo, a simple momo, that too veg, and just filled with potatoes, could ignite such an explosion of flavors was hitherto unknown to me. Even if I have to pay double it's current price, I will still pay for it, it's that good. The tingmo bun served with butter fried beans was fresh and beautiful. Silky soft warm and slightly buttery. Would love to visit again.

I ordered porkcurry, have received beefinstead.
