Review Public Affair - New Delhi

I went to this restaurant in Khan Market on a weekday afternoon. It has an unassuming entrance. Chances are you might miss it but once you climb the steps it’s big enough. It has a smoking area also. Public Affair is famous for its cocktails and wide range of whiskey and wines. They do not have a wide variety of beers. We had two different type of cocktails. One was old maple fashioned and New Delhi sour. Both were decent. They have good potato wedges and some nice salads. We had burrata veg salad and it was fine. The truffle spaghetti was quite good and loved it. Overall a nice place but it’s expensive.

Public Affair is indeed Khan Market's most stylish eatery and bar. This place serves the best Asian, European, Thai, Italian and Mexican, and the beverages are not to be missed. 🫶🏻 Some popular dishes include Chicken Mustard, Calamari Fritters, Vegetable Mezze Platters, Peri Peri Prawns, Mexican Platter, and Snapper.😋 If you plan to visit on the weekend, booking your table in advance is recommended. Great! We went here for bottomless brunch on our last day in Delhi. Khan Market was the nicest and cleanest area of Delhi we saw and we loved Public Affair. The upstairs seating area with the huge glass windows was beautiful, like an exotic greenhouse, but not too hot. The food and drinks were unlimited which was great, it was all very tasty. The mushroom dish was sticky and delicious and it was great to have fresh sushi. It got quite lively with a large group near us but we didn’t mind- staff were friendly and fun and helped with recommendations!

My first time back after 4 years and there was no disputing what I was going to have first. The Whisky Sours in this place are off the hook. I'm in my happy place and loving it. ❤️ Don't forget to try their all you can eat and drink brunch. At Rps 1999 it would be rude not to. 😁

Went here on a whim, when all the restaurants had a waiting for an hour or so and this specious place didn’t. What a saviour. 😬 Anyway, really enjoyed the ambience of this place and everything that we ordered. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so that is a plus point. We had their very popular Mexican platter, which was huge and had quite a variety of things to try. We also ordered bubble tea and Monkey Gland cocktail. Both were good. Will definitely recommend this place if you’re in Khan Market.

One of the best cafe’s I’ve been to in Khan market. Good ambience, different food and good drinks. Went early evening around 5-5:30pm. Very warm sitting area. They serve really good fushioned food (as I don’t remember the cuisine) They have a kind of terrace garden where you can smoke. They serve hookah as well. A nice place for couples or friends. Not a family place though. Not a part place either. But very comforting.

Slightly over priced but overall a good chill place with good vibes to grab some really good drinks and food with friends.

Decent place in Khan market. We had ordered mushroom risotto with goat cheese, pad thai noodles, ice tea and capuccino. Total cost us INR 2200 between two people. Food was decent, not amazing but not bad either. Service was prompt and friendly. Ambience is of a typical restaurant/lounge combo.

Friendly Staff. Savannah was helpful, friendly and very efficient. 👍 Delectable food. The ratatouille garlic loaf, the Mexican platter and the cheese platter were awesome. 🤗 Tye Public Affair fruit punch pitcher was strong and flavoursome and came in a "vessel" fit for titans. ❤👑 The place had an easy going vibe. 🤟

Favourite (Vegetarian) Pizza! I recently discovered this amazing pizza with mushrooms and caramelised onions drizzled with truffle oil… absolutely delicious. A little expensive… but perfect during a crave 🤤

We really loved the ambiance of public affair. The food was good as well. We tried the kebob platter and pepperoni pizza. Just the chelo kebab was not good. But our overall experience was great.

A list of delicacies to count from the menu. On eating you will experience the effort being put in by the chef in every dish. Low on music, calm ambiance. Courteous staff. Nice seating arrangement.

This is by far one of the best meals we've ever had, from New York to Bangkok! Textures, flavors, colors, presentation, spices and aromas combined to perfection! Not to mention the excellent service and ambiance. Thank you Himani and all your amazing team! See you in 2 weeks!

PUBLIC AFFAIR Saying 'NO' to everybody without any logical reason and allowing friends and 'known' people inside a bar is the new thing in DELHI. And, not to forget the rude staff. Its been happening everywhere around the capital, experienced it lately at PUBLIC AFFAIR when I got late and had friends there already. So, as a consequence, i had to pay Rs. 2000 to enter in which i was supposed to get 2 drinks. But, at the crowded bar, the bar tender refused to take my order of a cocktail with 30ml of alcohol and explained that he's just allowed to give drinks which are on the list of the coupons offered at the entry. The floor manager Mr. Mahipal, over hearing the ongoing conversation initially refused to give me a cocktail and then showed some compassion towards me and offered me 1 cocktail for both my coupons (which were worth Rs.2000). Uptill this point it was fine, he was doing his job but then suddenly he asked me to either have a drink or leave, all of a sudden he was all aggressive and when i objected he sneakingly asked the bar tender not to take my order.

Good ambience ...I went for the Peruvian night on Wednesday while I loved the pisco sour even with a one plus one I found the price to be very steep. Ordered the tex mex platter . Was just average with meagre portions ..the sour cream was not cream but foam...avocado dip had raw mango in it and an indian twist which ruined it...margherita flatbread was also very average ...all in all not an experience that will entice me to come back again

One of my fav restaurants in the world .. have never had such awesome Quinoa salad anywhere else. But then every other dish is wow too. Plus the uber chic ambience n music.

Went there Saturday evening , was asked for money to enter as a stag by a really rude chap , when my wife was already there and came down to door to receive me ? So was I really a stag ?????????. Then comes the service , asked for white wine at 12 mid night , it arrives in 20 mins which is ok but then arrives in an kulfi style goblet glass , room temperature ---- amazing , surely great music but horrible attitude at gate again guys ----

Great ambience .... a Khan Mkt joint which is thankfully not cramped . They have Frida Kahlo posters on the walls and Frida Kahlo is a personal favourite so that resonated well . Food is out of the ordinary and the staff was awesome with their recommendations and gracious service . Couldn't ask for more really .... Definitely going back !!

a short walk in the khan market and youl spot this amazing place! situated on the first floor public affair is one of the most happening spots in the khan market. always bustling with good crowd and energy. I ordered the sharing kebob platter which was quite big to be honest, triple tier platter with tasty chelo kebobs, chicken tikka, fish tikka etc served with pita bread and hummus. we also ordered 2 pastas- spaghetti vegertarian arabiatta and penne chicken in the same red sauce. both served with garlic bread. the taste was excellent and portion size is very good! we ordered a few drinks of campari, gin n tonic, perrier etc and mine was a delicious mocktail Shirleys temple, a mixed fruit fiesta! at the end of our dinner they served us 3 little red velvet cakes complimentary which was quite nice 5 stars to this place would definitely visit again

So we were at this wonderful pub this Sunday In Khan Market. There are so many choices in this upmarket location and we were glad we went for this place. Public Affair is located at Khan Market and easily accessible. This place is one of the most popular places amongst the families. The ambience is really quirky with lots of flashy and colourful lights all around and a really sober and simple ambience. We enjoyed the music and the choice of the songs they played. The people were really polite and the service was fast too as I ordered the tunna pizza which was a top notch. The kebab platter and belgian pork belly were tasty.

One of the very fine places in khan market which was bookmarked by me for very long. The place looks lavish from inside as you enter the vast space. The first floor has a huge bar space alongside one of the walls and the wall adjacent to it has large windows lighting up the space and then they have this second floor which has a whole different vibe with partially covered and partially open kinda setup. The has a very classy ambience .<br/><br/>Talking about the meal we had, we started by ordering with drinks which were gold rush and federal code. The gold rush was a mocktail mostly lime and orange based with a hint of mint and lemon slices and was mice in taste. The federal code was a vodka based cocktail and this was magical. This is one of the cocktails i liked way too much. The drinks were then followed by the mexican platter which was probably the fanciest and most uniquely presented platter i had ever seen. It was a three floored platter with the topmost layer with dipss, nachos and dressings . The middle layer had cheesy Quesadillas and peppered veggie tostadas and the bottom layer had cheese poppers, potato wedges and tortilla rolls. This platter had actually the whole variety of Mexican dishes in it and was just sufficient to stuff two empty tummies. The nachos with guacamole tasted really good and the toastadas were really crisp and something i tried for the first time.<br/><br/>The service was just top notch with the staff so well dressed and so polite. The food came in just right time with first the drinks and then the platter. The place is really a must try and great job guys keep it up!<br/>

I simply cherished this café, it has an incredible climate and extremely stunning food.It is one of the most wonderful and sentimental places in Delhi and has great quality sustenance and exceptionally decent mixed drinks. This place is sure to give you a charm of outdoor seating.<br/>Although they don't have seating outdoors, it's a gallery adjacent to indoor seating which gives it the added charm of outdoors when the weather is good and a cool breeze blows.<br/><br/>I chose to go for the Mexican platter<br/><br/>- a variety of options<br/>it is very filling for two people.<br/><br/>- loved the guacamole dip<br/>Love for avocado made dishes started from here<br/><br/>- quesadillas we're good<br/><br/>- fritters were tasty with a variety of dips served<br/><br/>They placed a glass jar with a lit candle as it dawned and it made the experience more pleasant and beautiful.

The place is made beautifully and the ambience is very good. We tasted quite a lot of food but the best things are just pizza and platters for vegetarians!! The only downside was that their draught was not up to the mark and they did not do anything about the issue even after repeatedly complaining, same for the hookah though that was sorted by the hookah guy after a *TIP* to him.. What is with the dark lighting and food being served in a pressure cooker. And if you guys have decided to offer food in such way then at least give it some pressure cooking time. Surely a no. I did not understand the Restoration Hardware rip off chairs at this place. Get rid of them they are bad looking as the food here.

On a rainy day and a handsome guy in my arms... we decided to go to few pubs in khan market. Public affair was one of them. It was beautiful. Love the way they have managed to place a fountain in their terrace while understanding how crunched up khan market is. I decided to try their matcha tea cocktail which the servers weren’t very supportive about. Because not many of their customers had the taste for it. But I loved it. Loved the place last time but a pathetic welcome this time. Climbed up to be given attitude as we did not have a reservation. The entire place was empty though. The staff has no idea about customer service. Was my wife's birthday, we told them so but they did not even have a courtesy to wish her. Never coming back.<br/>

Visited Public Affair for Sunday Brunch . It was an outstanding experience. The buffet had an amazing spread . Outstanding Sushi and Tapas. Main course of teppanyaki snapper was one of the best I had . Service and Ambience was excellent. Will visit again .

The place is big and have a good ambience. The place has a dark noir vibe going on which has a inviting feel to it...DJ played some decent EDM and the large projector in the terrace gives you the feel of watching a Hitchcock movie although it was just soccer that was being screened. Serves some amazing exotic cocktails too. But inspite of these good things going on for them your evening is ruined. Food is below average....and seating is terrible. The upstairs terrace barely has any cooling. Unless you have prior reservations they shove you into a service area corner with ducts protruding and housekeeping taking out trash right when the night vibe is setting in which means 9 p.m. onwards. However it's their arrogant and pathetic service which is the biggest turn off. You have to keep asking for everything from chopsticks to extra tissues to dips. They don't attend to you and if you ask for better service the manager gets defensive. They demand service charge even if you haven't received any service throughout the evening. Such a pity that the ambience of the place is marred by their ill mannered staff.

This is an amazing place in khan market for the best european food. Went there with a set of friends for a winter afternoon brunch scene. Just loved every bit about the place. The food, the ambiance, the vibe, the staff. They have some of the really amazing cocktails to try out. Must go place if you are in delhi.

Public affair welcomes you to a cozy, wooden, dim lit area along with a well lit, open smoking area on the second floor. We were there just for drinks, so ended up ordering a couple of well made, strong Long Island ice teas along with some fries. The service was a tad sluggish on the top floor atleast. Air conditioning could be much better.<br/><br/>All in all, a great place with a nice view of the open terrace with plants for having a couple drinks with a small group.

Disappointingly unpleasant.<br/>Been here for a Saturday night dinner along with a few friends quite recently. Let me begin with what is the utmost important and basic of a service industry; courtesy, humility and good service all of which lacked their Manager. Having waited for nearly an hour standing at their open terrace to get a table in summers that is obviously even after been on the waiting list for quite a while and never getting a call. The manager was extremely rude and argued and had no empathy and was not trying to make any amends to accomodate us and had a care a damn attitude. All in all he was really pathetic and very uncourteous.<br/>Besides the staff the ambience was i guess just another average joint. The only thing worth is probably the food. After this crazy ride we wanted to settle for something basic to avoid further let downs and thankfully the food was living up to its expectation. We ordered shiitake which was packed with flavour, mezze platter on the side menu and a sundried tomato penne pasta. Nothing was exceptional per say but was surely more than average to say the least.

The staff was rude. <br/>Amit the testaurant manager as well the lady keeping tab on reservations. Seemed too inclined for us to sit and order drinks at bar. <br/>All vague Answers to how much is waiting time , what thw reservation policy is.<br/>By the time we finally got a table after jostling for 45 minutes, they comveninetly forgot to take our order for next 20 minutes.<br/>So we left, finally admitting we are unwelcomed here and suggest for anyone go there probably in day on anytime they dont have enough customers to throw around the whims. <br/>
