Review Fa Yian - New Delhi

Varun Prakash Dhanda
Visited this wonderful and beautiful restaurant after a gap of 7 years- Still the same food, the same prices and the same portion size ! Their 3 course Set Menu (Fa Yian Platter) is truly amazing @ such an affordable price. It’s like a Mini Buffet served on the table. Special mention to their Thin Noodles which are truly a class apart and delicious. The restaurant has, without a doubt, stood the test of time and I sincerely hope it would remain the same in the future.

Nice, little authentic Chinese place quietly tucked away in the middle circle of A-block, CP. I loved the food here & the staff seemed pretty co-operative too. Most of all, even on a Sunday evening, the place was pretty quiet and felt really nice being here.

It was a pleasant experience at Fayian... It's an elegant and cozy place with great Chinese food🤩 I really enjoy the Crispy Lamb and the garlic chicken (gravy), it was just too tasty.. couldn't keep my hands off it.. The Fried Rice and Noodles were good too. The service was good and there wasn't a very long wait time. I relished the Chinese here, it's a must visit place for Chinese Lovers🥰

The food here is amazing. Best Chinese we have had in a while. Very quiet place with less crowd. We had the veg combo, paneer sweet and sour and veg noodles. All of it was great. Loved it. The bad part of it was that they charge service tax which is literally illegal. Also, in general the price is exorbitant.

Fayian is a good restaurant-like place to hang out with friends and family. The interior is nice. The food is also quite delicious. Overall it was a good experience. Chilli mushroom was my fav🤩.

Revisited Fa Yian Restaurant Connaught Place today, after 30+ years.... because of a recent post pointer by my friend Sanjayy Kumar and found it as good (rather better) as it was before. Now moved to a slightly bigger premises (still only a 30 seater restaurant) with simplistic uncluttered decore and a lot of positive vibes. Simple menu, short and crisp. Reasonable pricing. Good (delicious) food and friendly attentive service. We opted for two Express chinese platter with Chicken and Paneer and base ingredients. Choice of soup (Sweet Corn & Hot n Sour).... Cooking sauce options are as per customer's preference (Garlic, Manchurian, Kung Pao & Chilli). Served with 3 pieces of Wonton and adequate portion of veg Noodles & veg fried rice. A barely minimal dessert (An avoidable scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream) to end the meal. All in all... a great value meal for a nominal price of Rs.410++ with an opportunity to taste so many selectable dishes. And the food is really good. Must try.

Yesterday I went for another round of fine dining. Good food, ambience and service is always assured. New thing this time is, the ground floor has been reopened. It's renovated and they retained similar decor that existed earlier.

A pretty simple and peaceful restaurant giving off legendary vibes that makes you want to explore the food at this 32 year old place, and it does not disappoint ! I especially loved the mixed noodles which were bursting with flavours and are really thin. Fried wontons were okay, given i came with ultra expectations -_- . Food was fresh and one bowl feeds two hungry souls *_* easy Its comparatively pocket friendly given the location and not too crowded + easy to park here.

A quaint little place, not too fancy, neat, clean and fresh smelling. They know their food. We had a chicken meal bowl and a chicken sweet corn soup between the two of us. Excellent taste, generous portions, reasonable price!👌🏽 I’m going back for more. Recommended.

Nice place. Small seating area makes it cozy and comfortable. Good food. I liked Crispy vegetables the most. Chilli garlic noodles tasted delicious too.

This is one of the best options if you want to eat a buffet and a lot of non veg and veg snacks, including sea food like fish and prawns. Vegetarian snacks and buffet are also available. Service is good. The snacks served hot and kept on charcoal fire in front of you on the table so that you could enjoy piping hot snacks. Good experience with family.

I recently dined at Faiyan Restaurant, and I must say it was an outstanding experience! The ambiance was delightful, the staff was attentive, and the food was exquisite. Each dish was a culinary delight, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. I highly recommend Faiyan for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

This Tiny Chinese restaurant is located in the middle circle of connaught place in A block. They have their set patrons and lovers. The menu is nice and simple with impressive taste and portion size. You just enter here and it takes you to almost 20 years back . Classic furniture and no fancy things on the walls and windows. They are expert in food and this shows while having the food. Better then Bercos and any other Chinese restaurant nearby. Staff is polite and courteus and quick In action.

13.03.2019 This place was suggested to me by my sister. I visited this place with my fiance after office it wasn’t that hard to find this place.. it’s in the CP’s middle lane. The reastaurant is quite small with just 4-5 tables. They have one page menu covering almost all the Chinese food and so we started off with Chicken Talumein Soup (Rs.165/-) not bad at all. It was perfect loaded with veggies and chicken. Portion wast too much for one so we asked for 1:2. After soup we had Chicken Chinese Choupsey(Rs.335/-). It was again nothing less than delicious. Portionwise : more than enough for one(person with normal appetite) Pricewise: affordable Tastewise: too delicious. As we were in bit hurry so couldn’t had other things but I’m definitely heading back to this place to try out more. PS: Before I had food here Bercos was always my go to place for chinese but not I would prefer this over bercos. Total Bill: 564/-

Rainy afternoon in Delhi... I entered this quaint restaurant in CP Middle Circle. It's a small place with minimum decor but great food ! Courteous staff...quick service. Hearty soups..fried wontons. Great chilli garlic noodles mixed with kunpao chicken. Portions are good. Prices make you smile.

The taste is very good but only when u come before 9.00 pm. After that the staff is like as if they are in a hurry to go home....Half of the time they will deny to ur request n they will serve you as if they are doing a favour to you....

This place has the best chinese food I've had in Delhi

This is a small and cosy place. I really felt calm in there. It's a really good place for Chinese food.
The food was DELICIOUS 🤤🤤.
It's worth a visit.
This place is only for good food and NOT for partying.
Worst part was they don't accept card payments. But cleared the same while placing the order. We ordered Hotn sour soup, pineapple rice and prawn on both the dishes main ingredients was missing (prawns and pineapple) was missing. It was such disaster to went this place. But ambience was good and relaxing. I suggest other place over this restaurant which is far better.

A very small and compact place but food is awesome , you can feel the freshness and aroma of the food very well , potato toastier, chilli garlic noodles , veg manchurian must try, the ice cream they serve is less sugary and simply great, a must visit

FAIYAN - The Chinese restaurant in Middle circle, Connaught Place!❤ .
So i visited this place with my family on weekend and I really love the Chinese there. .
Basically, we were craving for Chinese cusine from very long time and at good location!
So we found this one at CP and what could be better than Connaught Place.

We had chop suey, fried rice, schezwan noodles and schezwan chilli paneer!🤤 It was a drooling experience for us and we came back home burping and my happy face!😌 Do visit and have some amazing chinese there!😍 We spent around 1200 rupees for 4 people!🤑

The food was tasty with authentic chinese flavours. The staff was courteous and the place was not to noisy, good for an quiet evening time .
Mayuri Sidharth Gunjyal
Small yet cosy. My favorite was their freshly brewed artisanal coffee. I went looking for something light but filling and got myself some talumein. I think the taste was on point. I wish I could take home their super beautiful crockeries.

Thus is in strict sense a restaurant only , no interiors or things to look at . But wat they believe in is good food n service n m glad to have tried this ..
Had booked it b4 but I was d only customer , may b the navratre effect !
Talunein soup was really good , d best I ever had , especially for the thin noodles in it .. admixed with gentle amount of assorted veggies ..
D best part is " spring rolls" , I would die for them . So good was the exterior coating , not too thick or thin n no oil coming out n smearing my hands ! Filled with cabbage onion mix , fried to just the optimum level.. a must try .., do try the red sauce with it , we used it to garnish our other item tooo..

Next up , in main course , American choupsey was nothing like I had in so many Chinese joints !!!
Liquid veggies tomato sauce came separately with the thin noodles .. n u mix n eat , it was simply heaven .. a go ahead any day ..

A hidden gem , but definitely needs to work upon the interiors n the wall paints n old serving glasses !!
This spot has the best chinese nourishment in focal delhi. Yummy Chinese nourishment and spending cordial! The amount of nourishment per plate is additionally lovely good.We had Honey Chilly Potato, Hakka Noodle and more.... All the nourishment was great and superb and they constantly dazzled me by their food.I love the nourishment here.

This place has the best chinese food in central delhi. I love their prawn noodles a lot. The quantity of food is also good. It is very cosy place with very less tables.I would recommend it to anyone looking to eat authentic chinese in a decent budget.

We went to this place for the first time yesterday for a rakhi dinner. My brother likes chinese food so we did a bit of research before going. The place is a bit small and yesterday being a holiday it was crowded so we had to wait a bit. But once we sat down it was a real treat which followed. We ordered crispy salt and pepper veggies, spring rolls and drums of heaven. Didn't quite like the drums of heaven as it was a bit bland and very dry. The dishes were good. We also had pan fried noodles mixed and fa tuan special fried rice. Portions were great and the taste superb. Even after eating so much we didn't feel stuffed. Food was light and tasty. What we liked most was the similarity in taste with Kolkata Chinese which we miss in Delhi. Service was prompt and efficient. Overall a good experience.

This place serves one of the best dim sums in delhi . Personally in love with their clear soups! Authentic alert! I amma go back their soon!

Yummy Chinese food and budget friendly! The quantity of food per plate is also pretty good. I could try only veg this time coz of my friend. Would love to visit again and try non vegetarian next time.

Cute little hole-in-the wall restaurant tucked away in the bylanes of CP.You will almost always find a table because of the location. They serve very decent portions enough for 2 in under Rs.1500.While it won't set your taste buds zinging, the food is sumptuous and filling.Definite tick on this one!

They have many food too.... I already ate many things from Fa Yian . Honey Chilly Potato, Hakka Noodle and more.... All the food was good and excellent and they always impressed me by their food. I always rate those 5 because they never disappointed me.... Love to order food there.

This place is a hidden gem... it serves authentic Chinese with perfect flavours..love the food and hospitality...can go anytime for wholehearted soups

This is a very old favourite of mine! Have been going there for more than a decade, perhaps since its inception! Their quality has not wavered. I have not come across any restaurant where the food has always tasted the same as the 1st time, which is quite something. Being far from home, I cannot visit very often. However, I did last afternoon. Was not disappointed. The food was as bril as ever! Reached early for a Sunday lunch, was fortunate to find a place, which is a massive constraint here.

This restaurant is a hidden place. Been on my bucket list finaly got a chance to visit the place . Ambience is okay.. but the food preparation takes the credit. Ordered for kung pao chicken and chicken pepper salt. Servings were of good quantity. Will keep visiting regularly when ders a craving for chinese food

I was shown this place by a friend and the first visit left quite an impact on me to visit it again. In fact it may now become my go-to Chinese food place going forward. It's a non-descript place in the middle circle and hasn't really upgraded itself in terms of decor. However, it's the taste and quality of food that holds the fort. A limited menu but authentic taste - portions are more than adequate too. My favorites till date are the steamed wontons in gravy, manchurian and pineapple fried rice. It's a perfect place if you want to sit and talk for hours and have amazing food on the side. Also, it's pocket friendly. Don't judge a book by cover. This place may look worn down but the food won't let you down at all. A must visit!

This is a small outlet in Connaught Place which I discovered a couple of years ago.
I love the food here , I have never been disappointed with the taste, quality and quantity of the food. The ambience could be better though.
Saurabh Salil
Flavoursome food. Ordered Momos and pan fried noodles. Both the dishes were awesome. Momos we're quite different than what we usually get in Delhi. It's a casual dining place. Price is on a higher side with most of the main course items 300 or above.
Pulkit Rastogi
Fa Yian is a lost gem. After being on the bucket list for years, I finally got a chance to dine in. The service was quick, the ambience too dull. We ordered Sui Chiao, American Chopsuey, Noodles and everything was decent. Expected it to be more authentic but was a bit Indianised instead.
Anjali Girdhar
An all time favorite.. this restaurant is in the middle Lane and is not prominently located.

The food here is absolutely delicious..

Clear wonton soup and manchow soup were delicious.

Fa yian special rice is absolutely yummmmmyyy... Have never had rice like this....

Vegetable almond was a lil bland... Had it for the first time so am not sure if that's how it is prepared...

Must visit and have their special rice... Highly recommended...

Located in the heart of the city, Connaught Place, this is a tiny one with Chinese cuisine to offer.
I must say don't go by its size. This one has to be one of the best restaurants in Chinese cuisines here. Truly loved the Chilli Garlic noodles with Manchurian. Should be on your list.

Intro - Quiet little place in the heart of CP, A block middle circle to be precise. The place has a rustic feel to it and the staff is welcoming and polite. The main section on the ground floor remains closed because of sealing but they have a dine-in section upstairs.

Food - Their menu is a one page affair which might feel like inadequate at first glance but look closely and there's a lot on offer. So we ordered the usual Veg Manchow, Crispy Veg, Chilli Garlic Noodles, Fried Rice and Chilli Mushroom in gravy. Soup is delicious, light and flavourful, their Crispy veg was so different, its like they have fried the veggies together and made little blocks of them, fried rice and noodles were good too and the chilli mushroom is just incredibly tasty with a golden brown colour. Quantity is really good and the food is light on the tummy.

Service and VFM - Quick and prompt, prices are very genuine considering the food quality, taste and quantity.

Overall - Worth visiting this place if you like indo-chinese food as they serve lip smacking food at reasonale prices. May such old school places live long amidst the influx of new age food joints.

Located in the middle circle, this place has got to be one of the best in chinese food in cp, when i went there, they were either renovating/readjusting the ground floor so it was closed that day, so the seating arrangments were made on 2nd floor.

There were 6 or 7 small tables and just one was occupied when i reached and within half an hour, the place was packed, because i was alone, i did not go for any soup/starter, and ordered veg fried rice and mushroom chilly.

The staff was polite, but the interiors was dim lit and was far from fancy, its just a place where you expect good food with average interiors. They took almost 12-15 minutes to serve, which i guess is normal coz the place was filled up.

Onto food, veg fried rice was awesome, quantity and quality was excellent and the mushroom chilly was by far the beat that you can get, the portion were huge for a single person and i took my time slowly relishing all the goodness in front of me, and yeah they levy 7.5% service charge just so you know.

Overall a must visit place and Mushroom chilly is highly recommended.

Taste:9/10
Service:8/10
Ambience:6/10
Value for Money:9/10

If you are a lover of authentic Chinese food and don't care much about ambiance, this is the place for you. They serve amazing Chinese good.
I liked Pan Fried noodles
Jagdeep Negi
Food was good, taste wise it was ok ok, and the price is also reasonable, portion size is good enough to share. They really need to understand locals taste.

This one the best Chinese restaurant in CP. Interior is simple not so fancy. Price and quantity is also decent. Best part is taste. Try - veg kung pao, fa yian noodles, veg momos. Must visit.
If you just wanna have a good Chinese meal and not much concerned about the ambiance n decore, then this is the place for you, it's situated in the middle lanes of Connaught place so it's not very visible n coz of that you dun get much crowd there n you can easily have conversations for hours with your friends or your partners... They ain't even very fancy with plating n all, it's very simple n basic... Food is tasty but not super delicious n that's why I find this place on the costlier side... Quantity is really good but quality is good only... They should either elevate their quality of food or should rearrange their menu in terms of prices... All n all a decent place to dine in...
Honey Badger
an old school favorite joint, school bunking hot spot for all Manav Sthali batchmates of those years. the taste remains the same ( good) but these days lot many new options serving better and more authentic stuff, they need to pull up their chef coat sleevs to match the new birds in the town. packaging is very ordinary. Chicken oyester sauce is a must try here.
Tanvi Bhageria
A small chinese restraunt in connaught place. Less crowded and serves authentic chinese.. There hot and sour soup is something that you should try for sure..

It's a nice small place. Food quantity is also satisfactory. May be yesterday the service was lagging a bit but overall a very satisfying experience.
Kartik Chandrasekharan
I liked the fact that it didn't get crowded on Saturday night. Its quiet and you can easily converse for hours. Very decent menu. Enjoyed the food. Worth visiting. Good place to dine out with your partner.

It's one of my favourite Chinese outlets in the city. It has always been a wonderful experience in there. Simply love your Fa-Yian special noodles and honey chilli potatoes 👌
Dhairya Sethi
they have the best sui chow and chicken on toast. I have been going here since I was a child. the quality and taste is the same. a must visit if you have a need to do Chinese.
If appearance and ambience are important, then there is lots of room for improvement in this little restaurant. I am not saying that it is a dungeon or anything, it is just a little bland. Change in decor would serve them well in future.

The pricing and the portions are satisfactory.

Taste - 6.5 Value for Money - 6 Ambience - 5

Now Food.

This meal started with the recommended 'Honey Chilli Potato' which was, hmmm, let's say, above average, for lack of a better phrase. The quantity of honey used in its preparation was perfect in humble opinion. Not too much, just enough to sweeten the dish a little. Not a 'must try' in my opinion but a safe option.

Next item ordered was 'Noodle Bowl Soup'. I will confess, this was the first time for me trying this soup. I disliked it. The noodles in this soup were very chewy for some reason. The soup itself was okay. I have no complaints regarding it. In fact, the soup without the noodles, if served, would have been better. so, not a fan of this item. Try it at your own peril.

The third dish was 'Chilli Chicken' which was dry as hell. If we were to disregard the dryness, then the chicken was alright. The seasoning was adequate. But sadly, that it something that could not redeem the dish completely. Therefore I have to say that I was not impressed with this one as well.

The last dish that I had was 'Kung Pao Chicken' which was better than the previous two dishes. It was spicy (on my request) as it should be. The only issue that I had with this one was the lack of peanuts in this bowl. Everything else was fine. The 'Chilli Garlic Noodles' accompanied this chicken. The quantity of the noodles was good. Would serve 2 people comfortably.

That is all.
Vibhor Rana
Nice and small Chinese Place and serves very authentic Chinese food with so courtesy. Kung Pao Vegetables and momos was so delicious. I love Chinese food very much and this place is far good.

Amazing food.. And about ambience?? Well personally i loved it.. A place which can be visited when u need a lone time and enjoy the soft music.

They do have some gooood chinese cuisine.
Must try their shredded chicken and fa yian friedrice.
And they have some amazing desert called Date toffee roastem almond ice cream ,must must give it a try if planning to visit this restaurant.
Overall the ambience isn't that great, but they surely serve amazing Chinese cuisine.
CsAnuja VerMa
I loved the ginger garlic fried rice , mushroom Chilly. I recently heard from one of my friends about Fa Yian's legacy but never tried it. When I tried it's food at it's Connaught Place outlet I was fully satisfied and the food was simply amazing. I have rated it 4.5 and have deducted 0.5 for it's look and feel. I think they can improvise the look a bit. Anyway it's too good.
Ajeet Singh
Really enjoyed my dinner here. Presentation was lovely and portions were just perfect. Not too heavy or greasy, which is sometimes very common with chinese cuisines.
Tried the Drums of Heaven, Chillu mushroom and chicken black pepper and all were quite good. Good portions too.
Foodie Pandit
This place serves you Chinese cuisines. I tired there chilli garlic noodles & spring rolls. These were good with noodles lacking the garlic flavour in it. Spring rolls were good & can be tried once.

Fa yian is one of the places which comes in the mind when you want an amazing chinese food . They serve an amazing wontons and manchow soup . Fa yian provides homely atmosphere . One of the rarest peaceful joint in the middle circle of connaught place . Staff is really polite . We felt in love with their lemon chicken and szechwan chicken 😍 And we end an amazing experience with a single scoop vanila ice cream 😄
Sahil Bidani
My regular chinese place in cp.
Must try - Honey chicken ( out of the world) you will not find this taste any where else guranteed.
Soups and main course are also very good.

HONEY CHICKEN ❤
Ushinor Majumdar
It is a small place with a simple decor, but the minimalism is appealing and definitely not loud. The volume of the music could be a few notches less, though the track selection, coupled with the lighting, create a warm ambience
The understated decor should not make one assume that it is the same with the food. The overall preparation was excellent and this not “masala Chinese” cuisine where everything is over-spiced and coloured. The restaurant has retained its charm in food over the decades.
Each of the dishes had a unique taste. The noodles were not dripping in oil and were cooked just right, nearly al dente. The black pepper chicken was our choice for a spicy side dish but didn’t burn our throats and the gravy had a distinct flavour, topped with toasted sesame.
The most impressive was the soup. We had the wonton, with mushrooms and vegetables. The white exotic mushroom rounded off the flavour.

Some of the best food is found in quaint corners.
Beautiful service.
Great Chinese.
Reasonable price.
I would go back again and again.
Lemon chicken, chilly garlic noodles, fried rice.
Spent : 700 for 2

Oh what a surprise this little place turned out to be! I didn’t know about this place until recently, when a colleague recommended this and 6 of us went out there for lunch. We tried their chicken dumplings, which were 👌🏻 and chilli prawns 🍤 were wow!!!

We had different varieties of chicken and lamb as well with garlic noodles and fried rice! One of the best Chinese, in CP. Must try!!!
Abhishek Taneja
Been there a couple of times. Food is average, nothing great. Prices are little less compared to other Chinese restaurents in CP. Ambience is ok, but it usually remains empty. Good option if you want a peaceful, cosy place. go there with less expectations and you will be ok.

Great Food.
We tried four things : Honey Chilli Potato, Chilli Chicken, Singapore chicken & chicken pepper salt,
Everything was great and most importantly authentic. Staff is also very friendly.
Shilpi Leo
Went there for lunch with my roomie and had a decent experience. The food was good but not as good as compared to other chinese restaurants I have tried in the area. The Noodles were good but the chicken in Honey Chicken was a bit bland. Rich portions are reasonable pricing
Bhavana Asthana
The place is rather homely - clean and minimalistic. We went for a soup-lunch and ordered Fa Yian Special Chicken soup and Vegetarian wonton soup (the servings you see in the pictures are halves); both the preparations were hearty, authentic and satisfying.

Their condiment tray came with dark soy, red chilli sauce, chilli vinegar and pickled sweet ginger. The portions are big and the service is super quick and professional.

Lastly, light music added vastly to the ambiance (mostly classics like Scorpions and the Beatles). I rate the place a solid 4.
Akanksha Grover
Went there for a casual lunch. Ambiebce is simple and minimalistic but I heard that they serve good chinese food. I ordered :
- Crispy Lotus stem - absolutely waste of money, it was overly sweet. Lotus stem was coated with a thick coating which completely ruined the flavor. I have had better and more tasteful crispy lotus stem dishes at cheaper price and better presenta@tion.
Mushroom honey chilli - Tasted like any average roadside chinese restauraunt.
Pad Thai Noodles - of all the dishes, this saved our lives, It tasted good even though the it was too much of gravy around the noodles and gave more of a feeling of "sabji" rather than pad thai noodles.

Overall food here is something that you can get at any of the roadside "indian" chinese restauraunts, at cheaper prices.
Dhrthi Nanda
Hidden gem...Its Lovely cosy place with nice soft music...good place if you want privacy. They offer lipsmacking chinese food. I ordered chinese platter which had wontons, soup (that was loaded with chicken chunks) , the meal totally fulfilling and best ever chinese food I have had ever. A must visit :D

A chance discovery to this quaint little place about 5 years back...consistent quality at a reasonable price till date.. a must visit for any Chinese food buff

Anyday better than its competitor Bercos

Pathetic tasteless oily food and unhygienic looking restaurant. Far car from what it used to be many years ago. Food is like the road side Kadai Chinese. Will never come back here again
Barkha Vij
Will never recommend this place!
Pathetic food! Ambience not great at all!
Ordered for chilly garlic chicken noodles . Tasted nothing like chilly or garlic or even some good quality chicken.
Drums of heaven: nothing like heaven. More like chicken fried with a layer of crispy gram flour (literally chicken pakoras)
The food doesn't even look appealing to look at!!
Never ever going back again!
Meeti
The ambience is average...the food is typical Chinese...if compared it can be more or less rich in taste...usual taste with average environment...all cuisines are moderately good..simple servings at your table..

Discovered this austerely decorated no-frills place tucked away in the Middle Circle of CP. This quaint little eatery's only focus it seems is the food they serve - deliciously authentic Chinese cuisine.

We ordered Spring rolls, Chinese Chopsuey, Schezwan Chicken & Veg Noodles. The chicken was absolutely lip-smacking. We relished the food with the fruit beer which was quite appetizing too.

Ended up here as Berco's had a waiting for lunch & we were ultimately thankful for the new find. Worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a quite place to hangout with family or friends :)

Well to start with we reached there around the closing time, the service staff was a little reluctant to serve us... we called the no available on Zomato that turned out to be the owners number , she was way too courteous and sent the manager to attend us...
Coming to the food part the food was amazingly nice especially to mention the noodles are really thin ( i am not such a fan of thin noodles) but the taste was mindblowing..
Must have Fa Yian Drumsticks!!!
Also the manager gave us complimentary sweets to make up for the behaviour of the service staff...
I must say they really take pain to make their customers happy 😊😊

Another no frills old style Indian chinese restaurant in the heart of connaught place in the middle circle. Don't expect fancy interiors or fancy cutlery but do expect good quality food. A special mention for the generous portion size and the great quality of meat.

The reason why I haven't given this place more than 3.5 stars is because the interiors and ambience of the place is a lil uninviting. They management should invest in their interiors.

If you are a chinese food sucker then this place is a heaven for you. They serve authentic chinese food. This place is little shady, old school types and you will rarely find people here but thats also a plus point if you are peace lover person. Must try theit wontons because that is something I come to this place to eat

Went there on a friend's suggestion but I m sorry to say that there was no hygiene level maintained..found a hair in the main course..the only good thing was the manager who did an immediate service recovery....shall have to think of going there again

Hello Hello Hello, let me take you to a ride to this outlet named "Fa Yian" ... The girl who took my order over the phone was like "we cannot change the order for you" because the only thing I've asked is to make it the pan fried dimsums a little more crispy. It was my order, I can ask them to do the order like the way I want... anyways, that girl
On the phone was like super duper rude and so so harsh like she lost something precious and I was the one responsible to it.

Well, you guys need to decide and take sincere steps. If the seniors are reading to this review, take a charge and hit it.

God bless your success, peace up !

Pathetic experience.Only thai noodles was average.Rest honey chilly potato and spring roll were awful. Moreover they take 15-20 minutes to serve one dish.

A quiet place to enjoy your food peacefully, food is good but for beverages, i would suggest order juice or coke. Even the fresh lime soda they served was not good. So overall great food, not so good drinks!

Its a great place..! We tried different varieties of monchow & rice here. Truly awesome flavors! :)

I think the sitting capacity should be expanded a little bit..

I heard a lot about this place and went to check it out.
First of all, the interiors are well, crap. Its awful. There's no other way to say it.We ordered 1 chicken fried rice and Noodles and 2 fruit beer, 1 chilli potato and 1 chicken on toast. The chicken on toast was suprisingly well cooked, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. But the other items were terrible. There were 3 of us and we could hardly finish the noodles or the rice. The Honey chilli potato felt was too sweet (emphasis on too). All in all, an average place. The total bill was around 1900.00.

Amazing authentic Chinese food. Period. That should be review enough for this place. Located in a quaint corner in CP and has a very silent and calming décor to it as well. The variety of food justifies the price and the taste is amazing. Worth a visit.

Location: well little difficult to find if u r nt regular to CP bt few places around it are actually famous so it's in centre of block A very near to bercos and Starbucks
Minimal interior as can be seen frm the images of this place over Zomato too

Bt the main thing the food is the hero here
Staff is gd
We had honey chilli potatoes and veg platter

Honey chilli potatoes: they were more like French fries coated vth honey and chilli gravy. Crispy spicy yumm yumm 4/5

Platter had
Sweet corn soup: nt too gd found it okayish
Wontons: well good thing abt them was they were crispy bt in the name of stuffing thr was hardly any

Noodles: very thin noodles vch I really like and to compliment them the vegetables added to it were chopped very nicely and talking abt taste thy were like chowmein
Fried rice: they were good tossed vth veggies in short thy were the best part of the platter
Veg manchurian gravy; nt too spicy had 3 big manchurian balls bt if I talk abt taste it could have been better

Chocolate ice cream: I dnt. Know vch brand it was of bt nt the regular chocolate ice cream which we regularly have (in a bad way). It had snail chunks of ice into it and for the first time it happened tht I was by able to finish ice cream

P.S: I heard people appreciating thr non veg foot a lot speculation mention to thr lamb curry so non vegetarians can give it a shot
So in short my visit to was not all bad 😊

One thing i liked most about the place was size of restaurant, it gave that cosy feel, not very crowded. Best if you are looking for conversations.
Food quality was good it had that authentic Chinese taste. Though prize was little higher but that was acceptable.

i was brought here by our friends who tried this place before. We were super grateful that they brought us. Everything we order had an abundance of flavour. The waiters took great care of our every need. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Chinese food

Hidden Gem!
This is an old Chinese restaurant which is hiding behind the new gloss of Connaught place.
This place can be a good contender for the best Chinese restaurant in Connaught place.
I am a frequent to this place.
This time we order:
1)Chicken on Toast: always on my order, a must try dish.
2) Fruit Beer: Best one can find!
3) Pan Fried Chicken Noodles: Noodles are thin as one like with different vegetables and chicken on it. I liked it.
This place opposite to Bercos and much better then Bercos.
Serves is good!
Go for it.

Fa Yian which means a garden in an enclosed space, is my very personal Zen of Connaught place. Situated at the middle circle of CP, diagonally opposite to Berco’s, Fa yian has stolen my heart by servicing the best Asian cuisine I’d have so far. It is a shame that I’ve never visited this place before. But I did.

The restaurant is small, cozy and very well organized for the space it has. The staffs are limited but there wasn’t any issue regarding service. The restaurant was practically empty when I visited since it was around 6pm, so I cannot really tell about the ambience. But to be honest, I loved every bit of the place and the music was amazing. All my 90’s favorite.

Since I was low on budget I ordered just two dishes with two different drinks as follows.

Kung Pao Chicken – Dry

Eating this Kung Pao chicken was an honor in itself. The mixture of the chilly paste, water chestnuts, soy and vinegar was beyond perfect. I have never had such soft chicken pieces in my entire life. It was way above my talent to write about this dish. Amazing from the first bite till the last.

Chilli Garlic Mixed Noodles

I again do not possess the talent to explain how toothsome, mouth watering, delicious, amazingly presented noodles this was. The ratio between the meat, prawns and egg was flawlessly balanced. This tastiness filled noodles was thin and crunchy. Eating this dish was a theatre of flavors in my mouth. I am going to stay it out loud, THIS IS THE BEST CHILLI GARLIC NOODLES I’VE EVER HAD.

Fruit beer and Ginger Ale

Classic and fresh. I liked the Fruit beer more since it had the apple flavor still intact. Ginger Ale was too strong for my taste. But both were perfect at their spot.

Fa Yian stole my heart. It was indeed an honor to relish my gastronomical journey with such an impressive performance.

Fa Yian sure does deserves a 5.

Enjoy.
:)

A small little gem of a place...!! Wen there for a "sibling lunch date" and wasnt sure enough if it would be the right place to choose or not.. but went with the gut and so happy to do it...!!!1

With soft sunlight pouring in the ambience was just right... They havnt tried to stuff it with too many Chinese artefacts to give it that authentic Chinese restaurant, which is mostly the case with other such places...

Ordered the Fa Yian Paneer Platter which was truely value for money.. it was served with fried wontons, a soup, rice and noodles and a scoop of ice cream... Portion size was just apt for an individual...

The CRispy Honey Lotus had the perfect crunch and all the flavours emerged beautifully...

A decent, loyal and a not too expensive place to go to...!!!

PS: It's in the same lane as Berco's

Fa Yian is my eternal favourite when it comes to chinese food. They have a limited menu but their preparations are spot on. Their roasted almong ice cream.is the best. Nobody, like nobody does it better than them. Must visit, just ensure that you have enough time on your hand as their lunch time is heavy and their is usually a waiting.

Small interesting place tucked away in middle circle of Connaught Place. Good Chinese food. Definitely worth trying. Service was quite slow, from the time we stepped in, it took us 55 minutes to be served food. It was busy hours on Saturday evening though. Liked the pad thai noodles and chicken in oyster sauce. Quantity is commendable. We had a very nice dimsum as well.

Middle lane in C.P. has great restaurants to visit for and this one is one of the greatest. It is a cute and little place with simple ambience. The outer side of restaurant has green plants and lights which are lit in the evening. Inside, it has simple plain walls with some of the artifacts brought from china, Hong Kong and various other places hung on its walls. Wind chimes and lamps add a little bit to its beauty.

Food is really great. I had clear soup, momos and rice with stir fried veggies. In drinks, I had coke with ice cream and cold coffee. There is not even a simple single flaw in food. Momos with burnt garlic is truly amazing. It is highly recommendable.

Staff is very sweet and generous. Hygiene is well maintained. Beautiful songs are played. It is a place worth visiting again and again.

Between the busy inner circle and a relatively less busy outer circle, Fu yian sits quietly in between in the middle circle.
The place has a simple decor and a quiet ambiance.
Staff is attentive and polite.
The clear wonton soup was simple tasty.
Momos or Sui Chio, the other name for it were amazing, especially the burnt garlic dip alongside.
The fa yian special rice noodles were decent too.

This place could go unnoticed while exploring the heart of Delhi. But if you eat here once, Fa Yian will certainly set the standard high of authentic Chinese food for your taste buds. The ambience can be improved though. A decent try if you like Chinese!

Wow, what an experience, especially in the chilly weather of Delhi in January. You have to visit this place. Its a bit hidden inside the middle circle and is diagonally behind Bercos.

We were 5 in number and luckily we reached at around 1230 when the restaurant was not yet full and believe me, it gets crowded very soon as they have few tables crammed up in a small place. That's the only thumbs down.

The food lifts your mood, especially the soups. We ordered for the steamed chicken wantons, veg wantons, clear wanton soup, prawns fried rice, chicken manchurian, and veg noodle bowl.

We also ordered the mixed Fa Yian Hot Pot, which is basically a hot pot enough for 4 people. In case you order this, please finish this before ordering anything else. It is just too large to finish and especially with the extra helpings of vegetables in it, you have a wonderful fibrous food and actually have a difficulty in finishing other stuff that you order. All of the food that we ordered was very nutritious, healthy and not at all heavy unlike other chinese that you have. A big thumbs up.

Overall a very nice experience and a feeling to keep going back to this place whenever I am in Delhi.

This place is a hidden gem. Have been going there since my childhood and it's still my go to place when you want to have some wholesome soup. My personal favourites are the prawn noodle bowl soup which actually includes three steamed momo pieces with good quantities of noodles and prawn and the broth and prawn pad thai noodles. I have tried almost all of their items from the menu and my other favourites include the mah mee soup their dimsums spring rolls honey chilly potato and chicken on toast also a big fan of their chopsuey and pan fried noodles as well. Would recommend this place everytime!
