Review Depot48 - New Delhi

Sriyash
Nice rooftop view, I prefer the GK 2 market rather than GK1. Spacious, open and nice ambience. 1 st floor is for live music and the entry is around Rs. 300. The second floor is the rooftop and you can enjoy weather and good view.

Went on a live music gig, the atmosphere was lovely, although the drinks are a little expensive, as is the case everywhere so I don't blame them but it's a good place to just chill. There is an open roof section too with music which is nice to hangout and meet new people.

The ambiance and aesthetic of the place is just so good, the food and drinks are good, hefty on pockets if you are really hungry or want to get drunk!!! The place is a total vibe would totally recommend it to everyone, plus it’s a queer friendly space so you can be yourself and meet many new people, make friends.

Good music and ambience. Hearty snacks and good pricing. The staff were amazing. Polite and attentive. The washroom was clean and the terrace area was big and nice.

Performed here with my band "Sly Verity". The staff was really helpful and accommodating. The sound engineer was also very experienced and made sure that we sounded great on stage. This place has a great chill vibe and scrumptious food. The crowd coming to the place is also very nice and sophisticated. All of this along with it's great location makes it a great place to party.

A nicely set up restro bar in GK2 M block market to sing your heart out on Saturday karaoke nights. The host DJ Deepak is as warm and friendly as a good singer he is. The food is also quite good along with a well stocked bar.

Do try kathal kabab and arbi shakarkandi chaat here.. the cheeze chicken was soo yumm.. and the best was the dessert. Pure foodgasm. I loved the place and would love to go again.

The experience we had at Depot 48 was beyond incredible. The food was nothing short of amazing, the decor was stunning, and the music by The Muddy Marmalade was simply outstanding. We had the privilege of witnessing their electrifying performance on the 28th of June, and let me tell you, these guys were like a wildfire that set the stage ablaze. Starting with the food, it was a culinary journey like no other. Each dish was a masterpiece in its own right, crafted with precision and bursting with flavors that delighted our taste buds. The presentation was impeccable, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs. Every bite was a delight, leaving us craving for more. The ambiance and decor at Depot 48 were absolutely breathtaking. The attention to detail in the decor created an enchanting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the music. The stylish furniture, tasteful lighting, and captivating artwork all contributed to the overall ambiance, making us feel like we were in a place of refined taste and sophistication. Now, let's talk about The Muddy Marmalade. These guys were truly exceptional. Their performance was like a wildfire, spreading energy and excitement throughout the venue. Their musical talent and passion were evident in every note they played. We were completely captivated by their stage presence and the way they effortlessly engaged with the crowd. The Muddy Marmalade created an electric atmosphere that had everyone on their feet, dancing and singing along. Depot 48, please do call The Muddy Marmalade again! We are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to listen to these incredible musicians once more. Their talent and energy left a lasting impression on us, and we are craving another night filled with their remarkable music. All in all, our experience at Depot 48, accompanied by The Muddy Marmalade's phenomenal performance, was truly unforgettable.

I recently visited Depot48 - the best rooftop pub in GK with an amazing band and delicious cocktails. I have to say, it was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. The service and staff were exceptional - friendly, attentive, and always happy to make recommendations on drinks or food. The whole vibe of the place was perfect for a night out with friends - laid-back, yet still energetic and exciting. The rooftop setting is stunning, and the live music added an extra layer of entertainment. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a memorable night out.

Depot48 is among one of the few spots in the city to enjoy good music. They give a chance to city's up & coming bands & musicians. They have created an interesting environment for those who love & enjoy new experiences. I've attended a few gigs here & have always loved the vibe. Some of my musician friends have performed their debut sets here & the people have always been appreciative.

Ok so let's just begin with what matters the most in a restaurant... Food. And the food at Depot48 is absolutely plate-licking good! Irrespective of what you order, you're sure to get a tasty mouthful. The presentation and portions are spot on. Some might find it expensive, but to me the menu is well worth the price. My favourites are the Lamb Burger and Sriracha Chicken/Bacon Mac & Cheese. Holy Mackerel! I'm not much into spirits, but the bar seems fully loaded and ready to dish out whatever cocktail(s) you desire. With the owners always present, a good recommendation for your food is literally a holler away. What's more, they make every customer feel as important as the next one. It's a quaint place with a classy decor; and with some live act or another performing every now and then, the vibe and music is always on point.

I have been a regular at Depot 48 ever since it opened and have always enjoyed everything on offer. Having been on both sides of the divide as a customer and also as a performer, I can definitely say that Depot 48 is one of the BEST places to in the city for music and food. Black and white photos on the walls (clicked by the owners themselves), carefully picked out quirky lightbulbs and the old cassette tapes stitched in between the iron grill like structure, all lend themselves beautifully to create a space that feels like a warm and cozy cocoon amidst the chaos that is Delhi. The staff is friendly and courteous. The service is efficient no matter how crowded it gets on some days. Depot now has a new Pizza menu that is to die for and the Burgers have always been excellent, since the Depot 29 days! The performances are carefully curated and is always a well balanced mix across genres and artists. A lot must also be said about the way the venue takes care of its artists in terms of making them feel comfortable, paying them on time and most important of all - having the sound in place so that the artists and the listener both make the most of the overall experience. Big ups!

Simply put, beautiful place, beautiful vibes! Couldn’t have been happier to have performed my first ever original composition at a place I’d never been to but only heard of before, yet finding such comfort on the stage I stood on. For a foodie like me, this was an absolute delight. Their burgers are to die for! Definitely one of the best venues I’ve had the opportunity to perform at, in terms of hospitality, sound and the ambience. Thanks to everybody for being so helpful that night, especially Abhishek for giving us beautiful sound. Can’t wait to go back!

Visit to Depot48 was long overdue and I must say the wait was worth it (though I am regretting that I didn't visit this place earlier) the ambience, music and of course the food is amazing and more than that the smiling faces of the staff makes it awesome.. A must try I would say. A big thank you to [753937742:Vikas] for a lovely place and cuisine. Would love to visit again soon..

Depot 48 has put together probably one of most best sound systems and acoustic environment in town. I have been to the place twice and each time the audio quality of the live performances was unlike anything I have heard at any pub before. One has to to experience it to believe that sound quality in a pub can be taken to such exceptional levels. The food, curated by a celebrity chef is consistent, fresh and scintillates your taste buds. Irrespective of you being a local or a visitor the city, this must be one of the places on your list.

I loved everything about our meal here. The food was delicious, creative, and well presented, the service was spot on, and the music was lots of fun. I highly recommend this for a break from the traditional Indian fare.
Aditi Kapadia
Was here to watch The Mallroad Project gig. The interiors are absolutely beautiful and I've never heard the band sound as good. The sound was so on point, easily one of the best live gig venues in Delhi I've been to. It helps that the food is Godawesome! The energy is great and I recommend it to everyone who likes good music, good food and a great ambience - its amazing! Great job, you guys

Scrumptious food Mind blowing cocktails great staff, super music, amazing atmosphere... what can I say ? Breakfast lunch or dinner... its the perfect place to be with your friends or family !
Vikas Juneja
The food is different and awesome. Service was also good . The band that played blues was fantastic but the place became too loud after 9:30pm, so no conversations possible after that. Overall will recommend to visit and have fun.

Love the place. Delicious food and cocktails all set in a fabulous ambiance with great live music that just adds that extra special something to the place. The fish burger is a must have.

Guacamole!!!! and those waffles aaah! That's just the start of a wonderful journey of food. The sound system is easily among the best in the country. My kids declared these the best waffles in India and I agree wholeheartedly

Great place, awesome food , best place to be if you wish to listen to the live music.

Depot48 is undoubtedly one of the best venues for music and food in this country. The staff is warm, congenial and cooperative, the bar is brilliant and more than anything it is one of the very few venues in the city that don't subscribe to the stereotypical expectative of a commercial pub sound and promotes budding and established independent musicians. As a consumer and as an artist, it is the ideal venue :)

Depot48 is most definitely one of the best live music venues in Delhi.Great food, wonderful ambience and a truly pro artist person at the helm of it all who runs the show. Being a musician myself and having performed at Depot48 I would like to encourage all musicians to visit and get an experience of this wonderful venue themselves.Wish Girjashanker and the entire team Depot48 the very best for all future endeavors. We need more venues and people who work like you in Delhi!:)

This is one of the good music venues in Delhi. Recently, I had the opportunity to bring Easy Wanderlings for a live show at Depot48 and we had a great time. The people (Girja, Nishad, Abhishek) are warm & friendly, the food delicious (the Waffles is a must have!) and the ambiance make it a great place to hang out, dine, listen to music as well as perform live. Much gratitude to the entire Depot48 team for a great experience. Looking forward to visiting again.
Smita Maitra
The food is different and outstanding. The menu is extensive and you will always have something new to try with every visit. The pulled pork taco and the pumpkin taco are my favourites. The drinks are exceptional! Must try the Monicatini. Expect to keep returning :)

A quite dine in place. Had crispy waffles here which were served with vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Great taste! Their veg cheese burger was above average but not great.
Foodforthought
An absolutely fabulous all week brunch food place in N block market, depot 48 has something for every palate. The menu has a Mexican vibe- they have a nice selection of quesadillas and a variety of guacamole recipes on the menu. But for the classic brunch loving foodies, they have a variety of fabulous waffles on the menu! We’ve even ordered for delivery from here and while the waffles do become a little soggy, they are still fun to eat!
SS
Fun and quirky decor, nice live performances and good food. The waffles are absolutely phenomenal (especially the classic and the chocolate gianduja ones) and cannot be missed!
Foodisbae
Visited this place last year in April!
N yes I had one of the best Mexican food and their guacamole was out of the world. Loved their truffle oil fries.. and their drinks were also very good!
And as far as i remember they had live music with a gal called Natasha singing fabulous and whole crowd was cheering for her!
Yuki
Definitely one of the most underrated places in Delhi. The food is great, music / vibe is always nice and staff is friendly. Banana toffee waffles have to be one of the best desserts available in Delhi. The guacamole trio is a must try. Would also recommend the vegetarian quesadillas

Nice place if you wanna enjoy dinner with some indi music. Food is good, Ambience is great and Sound system is nice. Wish it had a bigger area.
Rohit Malik
The ambience is very cozy and comfortable with some classic decor and not too much done like the new ones everywhere with stuff hanging from here and there. We ordered Taco with Avo Mash, Mexican Rice and Quinoa Salad. The flavors were very fresh and oddly every ingredient went together very well. Highly Recommended

One of the best places in Delhi to enjoy great (live) music over a great meal. The staff is great and prompt and the ambience of the place is uplifting. Also, gotta try the pizza, some of the best I’ve had.
Pranav Goyal
I went here for a quick bite at a very random hour in the evening around 6:30-7 so it was completely empty and quiet which is what I wanted it to be!
The ambience is very cozy and comfortable with some classic decor and not too much done like the new ones everywhere with stuff hanging from here and there.

What we ordered:

-Taco with Avo Mash,Mexican Rice : it was a soft dhell taco and the mash and cream cheese was brilliant. I really liked the spice in it.

-Quinoa Salad : a beautiful salad this one. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The flavors were very fresh and oddly every ingredient went together very well.

The service was good but its a little bit expensive!

Went here with my friend. The ambience is really nice. Cute small place with good Gigs. The food was amazing and something’s have a very different touch to them. In my list of go-to places.

The chicken pizzas that they started are so good. I recommend them... The ambience is good and the staff is very friendly. They have happy hours everyday which is an added bonus.

Fabulous experience! The band was great and the food and drinks too. Sadly some people would not keep their voices down for music lovers to really appreciate the band.

A very nice evening with good music and really good food spent at this awesome place.
One of the first few customers of the evening and one of the last ones to leave at night.
Loved everything from the decor of this place, the live music, the food.
Would definitely recommend and go there again.
I do not simply understand that WHY WHY WHY this place has reviews that are close to 4.5+.
So in my quest to seek the best mexican in the capital, my search took a halt at Depot 48 (thank god it was a halt). Before exhasuting my tastebuds I'd heard this place is 'known' for its quesadilla and few (veg) but freat mexicn choices. With much vegetarian hope I ordered refired beans, jalapeno and cheese & chiloquilles tortilla chips tossed in salsa. To my disgust the first chomp smelled & tasted weird (Yes! I eat with all my senses involved!) I took another just may be to adjust to the taste. It felt pungent again. I checked for any rotten food item only to realise that seasoning in the quesdilla whiffed of bacon (Yes I know, how it smells & taste). THAT WAS IT! I am never ever returning back. Thank god the chiloquilles tasted like they should and I could them to my appetite.
Spice rating: 🌶🌶

The goto place.. Never disappoints..

AMBIENCE: (3.5/5)
Keeping things simple, it's a cosy setup, live music a big yes, very likeable vibe.

FOOD: (4.5/5)
Be careful not to stuff yourself with the chips and salsa, they're addictive.

We ordered the (Tomato & Mozzarella Salad with Rocket Leaves). Was a bit disappointed by the presentation (there were big chunks of tomato and mozzarella), but it tasted good. Nothing too fancy.

Loved the Classic from Guacamole Bar.

Vegetarian Linguine looks appetising and is quite nice.

But the BEST thing about this place is the WAFFLES. Quite simply the best I've had in Delhi. If you're confused, go for the Half & Half.

STAFF: (4/5)
Pleasant staff with a quick service. Makes a difference since the people running the place are present and involved.

Waiting to go back..

Love the interiors and aura of this place! Great food and amazing music!! Lamb Burger is Fab!! Lunch hours is a blessing for all ;)
Definitely visiting again !

Went to this place for lunch. Amazing food and great vibes. Totally loved the music in the background. I liked the food portion and their waffles are a must try :) totally recommended.

One of my favorite places in Delhi... a great place for drinks, a meal and live music. They do proper cocktails here, including classics and some of their own inventive creations. The food is an eclectic mix of tastes and styles... it's a fun place to try new things. Jackfruit burger? Wow, never seen that on a menu! The waffles seem to be a crowd favorite for dessert. Always an interesting, friendly crowd. Their music calendar is also very diverse. I heard an amazing bluegrass band from the US one night and an amazing ensemble from Africa on another. Still not convinced? Two words: truffle fries. Case closed! LOL
Navodaya Singh
Went there for dinner and drinks. They have brilliant food and some awesome combinations of cocktails. The ambiance is peaceful and they have some really good choice of music and live performances.

They serve some really amazing waffles which is a cherry on the cake after such a delicious dinner.

I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to get out of mundane and same old restaurant and want to experience something new place to fall in love with.

The burrito smelled and tasted of meat! There it is, I have said it! And a vegetarian doesn't need to prove it! I wish I could sue depot48!!
Udita Sharma
Ridiculously expensive with ridiculously small portions. The tortilla chips and the chutney that came with it was delectable but the portion was too small for something so pricey. Wouldn’t go there again or recommend it either.
Vijyant Jain
Service was quick
Seating was comfortable
Ambiance was nice
Food was okay
Quiet Pricey

Liked the place enough that we spent 4 hours sitting there catching up with friends

Drinks were limited in availability, cocktails didn't stand up to expectation, even the evergreen LIIT had no punch. so that's an area for improvement for mixologist

Food, again very limited options, the innovation with the menu while is necessary has made everything alien on the menu. Some all time favourites and popular dishes should be retained.

Vintage tortillas with tomato salsa was much better than colourful ones and Mango salsa.

Veg side platter was definitely good. Should have come with more chips and rings though. Salad was missing here.

Overall a good time spent. Prices however were definitely on higher side. Two food items and two cocktail few beers and even with zomato gold discount our bill spiked upto 4500 among 3 of us
Gastronomie Affaire
Being in a vicinity of so many good restaurants, the place has yet created a niche for itself. The food is mouthwatering though little overpriced. Ambience is nice and the staff is prompt even on a busy afternoon.
Pattie Gonsalves
Love this restaurant, the excellent food (and desserts!) and the music! The best part is the warm hospitality of the family run owners, who always go out of their way to make you comfortable. Very highly recommend Depot48!
Vasudevan. Viswanath
Went to Depot 48 for lunch. The restaurant is on the second floor but it has a lift so well accessible to all ages. Ambience is nice with a retro bar feel with tapes adorning the wall. ordered the Gauva juice with chillie and kafir lime cooler. Both mocktails were well mixed and refreshing. Ordered the bacon wrapped prawns as the starters which was flavourful. ordered the taco Banh mi style taco which was ok but lacked the creaminess of refried beans being used as a base. May have been better if we had ordered burgers instead. We finished off with chocolate waffles which was delectable. Quantity suffices two small appetite people and a little overpriced. Overall worth a visit
Ketan Jhari
Too much crowded usually. Overpriced menu. They have Zomato gold membership running which actually saved our visit. We got 2 drinks free with 2 drinks purchase. Total life saver.
Food is decent.
I would rather prefer going to sector 29 Gurgaon cafe than coming here.
Little disappointed

Decor: 4 Food:4
Last visit: 14th February 2018

Situated in the N-block market of Gk-1, this place stands out for the quality of music, food, and drinks they serve.
Depot 48 is one of those places where you get the best of both the worlds, which makes you feel come back more. The decor and lighting are beautiful. I tried grilled chicken breast with pepper and mushroom sauce, bacon and jack cheese quesadilla and chipotle marinated chicken. The mushroom sauce was different than I expected but was worth going for, pepper adding to the flavor. Quesadillas tasted well, nicely prepared bacon. I also tried some sparkling wine-based cocktails with jasmine and elderflower syrup.
The band performing was one of the best I have seen in the recent past. There was no lead singer each member sang one after another.
All in all, A superb place to go with friends. I would recommend going to this place.

Akriti
Visited Depot48 a few days back and had a lovely lunch. We ordered the mushroom quinoa burger and Grilled Fish in Lemon Butter Sauce. Both the dishes were excellent!!! The wilted spinach and cream sauce that came along the fish were Yum!!! The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the staff is well informed about the dishes which was really helpful, as our server helped us pick out the dishes. Overall had a really good experience 😊

One of the best place in town when it comes to food & coketail Freshest of meat smashing cocktail and salad it's one of the few places that's it self on the music they play live so if you are keen on all the above don't forget to a Quinioa salad and Gingranate cocktail there famous of in house
Runu Singh
We loved the mexican food here. We ordered Taco, Guacamole and Quesadilla everything was delicious. We all enjoyed the drinks as well. Decor and music is lively too.
SAMEER BIALA
One of the best places in town when it comes to food & cocktails.
Freshest of meats, smashing cocktails and waffles like you can't find in NCR.
It's one of the few places that prides itself on the music they play live, so if u're keen on all the above, just head straight to this joint.. and you won't be disappointed..
PS : don't forget to order a Monicatini (their famous in-house cocktail).
Aruna Shekhar
Mexican food lovers definitely should try this place. I will eat anywhere they serve guacamole, which was better than I was expecting. Try their artichoke and spinach dip. The fish tacos were well made and I would have eaten the stuffing without the flimsy shell. An the cocktails are to die for
Anandi
The staff was inconsiderate although other tables were being waited and served efficiently, the staff was least bothered about our table.
They took forever to take our order, didn’t help us with the menu. Certain etiquettes were expected in a fine dine restaurant such as Depot 48 however, it lacked with the staff.
Neha Arora
Very very bad food ! Only food presentation is good and service is excellent , just that food does not taste good at all . It has happened more that twice so I am pretty sure of my opinion about the food .

I liked the service staff and the floor manager behaviour but what is the point if everything you order taste useless .
Nathan Nayyar
This by far is the worst place I ever had food delivered from. The Chips were cold and looked old. Fish was disgusting never again from here.

Located in N block market, GK-1, Depot 48 has always been my favorite place to hang out with friends in the vicinity. The place not only offers good food and drinks but it is comparatively quiet (no loud music) as compared to other places. The place has a lovely ambiance and perfect to hang out with friends or family members. The food menu features a number of American and Mexican delicacies, both the food and bar menu are beautifully curated and not lengthy.

In the food menu here, my all-time favorite is Spanish Artichoke and spinach dip with homemade tortilla chips- the dip is one of the best dip I have tried, Hands Down!!!. Next, slow roasted pumpkin and jalapeno empanadas with drinks are the best options.

Depot 48 also serves one of the best Quesadillas and Tacos- my recommended ones being- Pan grilled corn tortillas with green apple, rocket and goat cheese & Tacos with filing of mushroom, corn and sautéed onions.

From the main course menu, Beetroot Risotto truly stands out as it's easily not available at other places and tastes amazingly well. The place has an excellent dessert menu too, highlight being their collection of waffles.

From the drinks menu, my recommended drink is Whiskey Sour.

In a nutshell, Depot 48 desrves no less than 5/5 rating for their excellent food, drinks, ambiance and service.

Follow my food journey on Instagram- Foodie_Vakil.

Greater Kailash is one place which always attracts people. Be it for shopping or for eating I always like going to this place. So two days back I was there roaming in GK with my brother and we were looking for a place for lunch. We came across this place called Depot 48, and since it looked quite appealing, we entered inside. The place was quiet, it was lunch time and the sitting was very comfortable. We took a table and started with drinks. I ordered Spicy Guava mocktail, loved it.We started with Watermelon salad which was refreshingly yummy in taste.
Pumpkin and jalapeño empanadas are a must have here. I was skeptical about ordering this dish seeing that it contains pumpkin! But when their staff insisted, I went for this and the dish definitely changed my opinion about pumpkins :DApart from this, I had jackfruit burgers, small sized burgers with a very different patty inside.
All the dishes we ordered were delicious. My experience was great thanks to the good food and calmness of the place.

Depot 48 is a place in N block market, GK. Although I have visited this place many times, this is one of my favourites and I always enjoy being here.
My favourite sitting in a restaurant is one which offers seats next to huge glass windows. This place has this thing for me and hence my favourite table is the one next to the window!

I went here on this Friday during evening. The place was not very crowded. I always love their interiors, simple and classy.
I chose my mocktail first, a Kafir lime cucumber drink, which had a very fresh taste of cucumber and lemon. This was amazing.
For the food, I went first for the tortilla chips served with the spicy salsa mango dip. After that we ordered mushroom quesadillas which were very tasty, then we went for vada pao...this has always been my favourite.
I am a person who loves desserts, so in the end we went for waffles. They were served with chocolate sauce and banana sauce and vanilla ice cream. Their waffles are one of the best I have had in Delhi.

As always, Depot 48 remains to be my favourite place.

Depot 48 is located in the N block market of Greater Kailash 1. The place has a really nice ambience, and the window side table is perfect for a date. So about the food, I had the shredded chicken and crispy fried taco, it was a soft shell taco and had fried rice and shredded chicken in it and it did not taste that great. The wild berry waffles we're perfect and I'd recommend that to anyone with a sweet tooth!
Aarti
It's a 10/10 place. The most important thing when eating out is taste. Everything we ate was full on taste. Quesadillas are light, green apple, rocket and goat cheese combo is yummy. They were good with the cocktails also. Waffles are their speciality.
The service is humble and courteous. I am sure it would be a happening place with Dj in the eve.

This place is located in GK1 in the midst of all these loud bars and places that play sufi and bollywood....however this place is, according to me, the watering hole for all live music lovers and musicians....they promote independent music which includes folk, soft pop and rock, jazz, RnB, salsa, tango, qawwali etc.....we saw a beautiful latin jazz performance....the place was absolutely packed but the music was so good that everyone listened and was surprisingly quiet...they are currently running happy hours on a lot of premium alcohol which was amazing as eating out is expensive and its good to see restaurants understanding this....
The food was super.....the mexican was authentic....the burgers delicious and filling....i have to say that these guys pay close attention to the quality of their ingredients....everything was delicious including the free smoked tomato salsa and chips.....their vibe is casual but the quality is very fine dine....i had such a relaxed time....i have a very demanding line of work and this place is already my favourite...it simply checks all the boxes.....special mention to Laxman who was our server and made everything just too special....Kudos to the owners and staff.....

Had been here couple of times before for drinks and never sat down for dinner.
Finally went yesterday and I am so happy we did.
Who went: 2 of us.
What did we order:
Spanish artichoke and spinach dip with tortilla chips: Most comforting food ever. It was warm and just perfect for a winter evening.
My Green apple, rocket and goat cheese quesadilla was just perfection. Good quantity and very good taste made this a good main course. Also, it wasn't too heavy and 1 person can eat this by himself/ herself. Loved it.
We had endless rounds of Gin Craze which was a very good drink with Ginger, Lemon grass and Passion fruit.
Ambience: Good. They had a live band yesterday which we thought would be an obstruction but it pleasantly wasn't.
Service: Impeccable and very attentive staff
Total Value for money.
Cannot wait to come back again.

Went here for lunch and the experience wasn't that good.

The place is really nice. Wall art is beautiful and they have used audio cassettes as a piece of decoration which was very good to look at. Sitting is fine. They also have a full bar.

Service was also nice. Staff was polite and kind, even when I disturbed them for ketchup a lot.

Food is where the experience starts getting a bit sour. We got veg slider platter with Kokam drink. Though the food was served very quickly. It wasn't that good. The veg slider platter here consists of 3 tiny burgers with french fries and onion rings. The burgers were just okay, I just liked one of them which was a vada pav. Vada pav tasted nice but the other two where not that good. One of them's patty felt it was fried in reused oil. Onion rings were also very oily. We also got waffle - Banana with toffee sauce. That too didn't appeal to me much. The presentation was really nice. But the ice cream served with waffle was very less. With a full round waffle, we were given probably one scoop of ice cream.

Honestly had a lot of expectations from this place and it didn't really go that well. I have no idea why, may be it was just a bad day for me or the restaurant or both.

Also this was my first time using Zomato Gold. This cafe gives 2+2 drinks offer and I got to know it was only for alcohol.

Not much to say now. May be I will visit this place once again for a better experience.

This place is a value for money. The staff is very cooperative and friendly. I had great time with my friends and the food is Awesome. Main attraction: The live music and the quiz nights! Do visit and look for yourself if you are around, also if you are not.

I went here for dinner with family friends on a Friday night. The ambience is perfect with dim lighting and live music. The night we were there, Arinjoy Trio Blues was performing and they were truly good with the drums and the guitar. It got a little too loud towards the end though.
The servers are also prompt and polite.
Surprisingly, what turned out to be a tad bit disappointing was the food and drinks. As we sat down, we were served with complimentary chips and salsa - the salsa was merely chopped tomatoes and chillies mixed together so that needs a little more work to be served as “salsa”. We ordered the Kaffir Lime Cooler and the Chilly Guava mocktails for drinks. One of my aunts requested a room temperature cranberry juice and the server happily obliged (again thumbs up to the service). The chilly guava mocktail was good but the kaffir lime cooler tasted mostly of cucumbers so essentially to me it came across as cucumber flavored water.
For food we ordered, the veg slider platter (three sliders with a different patty in each of them), the jalapeños and fried beans quesadillas, the Mexican rice, sour cream, and avocado tacos, and the quinoa salad (with pumpkin, pomegranates, a dollop of feta cheese, and almond slivers as garnishing; the salad was drizzled with a honey lemon dressing). I didn’t taste the veg sliders but my family friends seemed to like them, specially the one with the potato patty. Coming to the tacos, the filling was amazing and the mashed avocado tasted really fresh - closer to guacamole in taste. The only thing disappointing was the taco shell itself which was way too soft for a taco shell. The quesadillas also didn’t appeal to us. The taste of refried beans was so overpowering that we couldn’t taste any jalapeños at all. The salad though, was really good except the feta cheese which was barely visible in the salad. The honey lemon dressing worked really well with this salad. So, in summary, I would rate the food a little above average. Having read such amazing reviews about the food, I am not sure whether it was just a one off night that the food didn’t taste as great or whether we picked the wrong options from the menu or probably the expectations became too high after reading the reviews. Probably will go once more to try some other options from the menu - the more popular ones!
So, overall:
Ambience: 4/5
Food & Drinks: 3.5/5
Service: 5/5

Oh my god, Depot48. The perfect place to listen to live music. The acoustics are top class and apparently one of the owners is a sound engineer so I don’t expect less.
We were here on a Sunday evening and a six piece band was playing on stage - Akash Vincent ensemble I think. The sound was amazing. The table we had was on the right of the stage. It was pleasurable to watch as it was like sitting in the comfort of ones den and listening to a pair of high quality speakers.
Food wise we dived straight into their mexican fare - a plate of the empanadas, the chicken taco and the spanish ham and cheese quesadilla - a special of the day the server remarked ( felt like we were VIP’s ).
Personally I loved the vibe of the place. Reminded me of this cool pub/live music place in New York called Joe’s Pub.
And BTW the food was very very tasty. None of us are drinkers so the huge cocktail menu was a waste on us but boy the waffles gave me a foodgasm.
Killer venue ! One thing in Delhi that felt right. See you again next year.

Definitely the place to go to on any occasion (or not), at any time of the day (or night). I’ve been here a few times for lunch and the ambience is perfect for a chilled out, relaxed & leisurely meal with always the perfect background score. The evenings are perfect for when you want to let your hair down and savor their amazing cocktails and enjoy some incredible live music. Their gig calendar is as varied as their menu. From burgers to quesadillas to tacos to grills, from jazz to blues to Qawwali to pop, everything is well thought out and perfectly executed. The decor is chic and classy. The service is attentive and informed. The food is flavorful and wholesome. What’s not to love?
“Lunch date with Depot 48”
One of the best tasting meals I've experienced in a long time. Perfectly delicious, fresh and bursting with flavor. Great atmosphere and commendable service provided by their staff. And not to forget, the knowledgeable manager of the place is an absolute delight to speak to.
I’ve a long list to share with you as it was like a banquet served to me. I had a couple of dishes at Depot 48. My best was Quinoa salad with roasted pumpkin and pomegranate dipped in the fancy yet so simple dressing of honey and lemon.
Next one on the list was “Pumpkin & Mushroom Mac and cheese”. It was a classic American style Mac&cheese and I’ve never found a good version of this dish anywhere in Delhi. The dense layer of pumpkin sauce on it blended with cheese was heavenly delicious. HIGHLY Recommended!!!
Not yet done, then comes their pretty looking waffles “Waffles with bananas and homemade Toffee Sauce” Rich as it sound, it was next level. I loved it so much that I got some waffles packed for my late night cravings.
Hold on, now comes the Bar turn- “Gin Craze” I’m a big devotee of this cocktail now. Oh heaven, it held that strong taste of ginger in it which gave my throat a booster. A nice hit to my head and I was absolutely loving that slightly drunk feel.
The best place to enjoy soothing music, lavish food and an attractive ambience. “Depot 48” is the best of all to experience everything that you dream about to unwind yourself.

Visited this place on a Thursday evening. The place is not so spacious but the ambience is warm and charming with a live band performing. The service was good. Now coming to food menu everything seemed very pricy. My love for salad made me order shredded pork with lemon a d coriander dressing. What it had was shredded pork green onions coriander leaves all so raw and pungent that I breathed that all night. Either the concept of the salad was way out my understanding or it was way too much pungent. Something should have been in the salad to balance the pungency. What I could eat was only the pork that was over the salad and leave all greens which apparently was priced at 500 rs. I just couldn't take any more risk so left.

I'm a huge fan for waffles and this place is the best in town for that. Period. Try their red wine sangria along with any variety of waffles they have to choose from. My personal favourite are chocolate and blueberry with ice cream. Their burgers are great too. The place is gorgeous and they have amazing in house music playing on the background. Service is great and quick too.
5/5 for ambience.
5/5 for food
5/5 for service

Will definitely order again.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Pan Grilled Corn Tortilla with Sauteed Mushroom.
The food delivered was warm and in good time.

Oh boy the best burgers in town! Burger and beer and your evening is pretty much sorted! Lamb burger is amazing , so are the beer deals ;). Service is prompt.

Depot48 is one place that's got everything spot on: from excellent food to great cocktails to classy ambience to faultless service to carefully programmed live music - everything is perfect!

My top picks from the vast menu: bacon wrapped prawns, guacamole, pulled pork quesadilla, quinoa salad, lamb burger, banh mi chicken taco, grilled fish with asparagus and undoubtedly the best waffles in town!

The menu is also available on an iPad where the spectacularly shot videos (dash menu) work perfectly to whet your appetite! I could spend hours just looking at those videos! Kudos to the team that's shot the menu!

Gin craze, Monicatini, English Flower are my favourites from their signature cocktails and I also think they do the best red wine sangrias in town!

You also see the effort in their careful selection of live music. From qawwali to R n' B, from pop to rock, from Jazz to Bollywood, from Blues to hip hop... there's a great mix of amazing music from incredible musicians from around the world and there's something for everyone on any given night. Glad they don't stick to a particular genre of music because monotony is boring!

Hats off to them for also creating a safe space for the LGBTQ community by hosting Pink Tuesdays (all day happy hours!), which I hear have become quite popular.

The service staff is excellent - warm, friendly and knowledgeable.
The hallmark of a great restaurant is "consistency" and I think Depot48 is one shining example that gets it right on all counts.

Keep up the great work guys!
Depot48 is an amazing restaurant. The food is outstanding, fantastic ambience and extremely friendly staff. Definitely one of the best restaurants in India.
Kishan Jagetia
The most amazing venue / restaurant in Delhi. Amazing food amazing cocktails and they do a mix of styles of live music which no one in the city does and does so well.
I saw an amazing band from the heart of UP that performed old school Qawwali. Anyone who supports folk music in India obviously has something totally amazing about their philosophy.
They have live music almost 6 days a week.
We tried the felafal burger the prawn wrap and an assortment of their tacos. Everything was heaven in a plate. They also feature an amazing in-restaurant app called Dash that shows you in 10 seconds what your dish has and how it's coming to you your table. So no shocks or surprises.
This is my new number one restaurant in New Delhi.

What an incredible find! Mind-blowing food curated by Chef Ritu Dalmia and amazing live music (of all genres and not just Jazz) carefully handpicked along with excellent service are enough reasons for me to keep returning to Depot48 week after week. Their American Mexican offerings like quesadillas, tacos and burgers are sinfully good and the waffles are the best you will ever find anywhere. Their very reasonably priced cocktails are some of the best I've ever had. Head down if you haven't already and you won't be disappointed.
Pm
We tried the trio of guacamole and goat cheese salad for appetizers and thoroughly enjoyed it . for the main course I tried the lamb burger which was juicy and very nicely done, my wife tried the Thai curry which was a wrong choice at this restaurant, the green curry was tasteless and that is the reason they have lost a point on the rating( I feel they should remove these dishes from the menu and just play to their strength) . The waffles were as good as you will get in any place in Delhi and were a nice change from the traditional deserts.

The mexican food was absolutely finger licking. The experience altogether is a big thmbs up! Good food and a sufi night. Just the perfect way to spend the evening.
Loved it.. Cheers

I survived this place thanks to their overtly priced food and drinks. The music was non urban and loud, people stood next to our table without the knowledge of they blocking the view.

Nice place with wonderful live music and some great waffles. They serve all new beer brands which is a great plus! The staff was attentive but the place can do better by adding more staff.

I went to depot48 last week with my husband. The place is quite far from where I stay. I went there mainly because of great reviews, and trust me the place did not disappoint. Depot serves great food with an equally nice ambience. According to my husband Chicken bacon burger was one of the best in Delhi. Waffles are a must try. I would say do try and dig in! 😊

Visited this place on Thursday night after convincing my friends to come all the way from noida. If only I knew the place would be such a disappointment. The food was below average, over priced but the ambience and service were fine. We ordered 2 appetizers - bacon wrapped prawns and chipotle chicken - and 3 drinks, beer Red Bull and berry smoothie. Prawns were overpowered by the excessive use of bacon with no side dip or sauce and the chicken was stuffed in a deep fried bread which tasted only of fried bread nothing else. These 5 things costed 2,400 and with those pretentious appetizers portions we decided to abandon the place and go to the nearest Big Chill. I'm attaching the bill copies to compare the places. Overall, I'm never visiting the place again and have also decided to revisit my zomato wishlist and scrutinize ratings/places more carefully.

This place is a pure bliss especially on Saturday's. From live music to delicious food, we enjoyed every single thing at this place. Staff is so kind & if you are a burger lover then you must try it here. It's amazing. Also, you can get it delivered at your place as we did!
A must visit place in Gk-1
Highly recommended!

Depot48 endeavours to make their customers happy. The Sufi night or the Quawalli evening, performed by renowned artists are just some of the ways to give their guests a cultural experience in addition to serving some good food, menu has Mexican flavours and burgers served with a twist. Experience it, you won't be disappointed.

This is my goto place for the best waffles in town and i also the Mexican food here especially the quesadillas. Their chipotle sauce is simple mind blowing and goes well with almost everything. A must try over here are their truffle french fries. A basketfull of fries served with Parmesan cheese and topped with truffle oil makes for a perfect accompaniments with drinks. The cocktails here are wll balanced and pack a punch, the bloody marys are good also if you are a whisky fan try their Depot tea time a perfect blend of whisk, earl grey infused tea, bitters and cinnamon syrup. The service is friendly , they have some love gigs happening on and off and the music tends to get really loud, making a bit uncomfortable at times, but stil its must visit for the food and drinks
Arushi Mittal
Menu selection, ambience, service, food and drink quality - everything was quite impeccable. Their signature cocktails offer a diverse and unique variety of fun drinks and even a vegetarian like me found a lot of interesting options for food. Quite authentic in terms of Mexican flavours as well! Good value for money.

Went to depot a few days ago. There were mixed reactions. Some dishes were really good and some just average. Here it goes:

The complimentary salsa needs to be done right. It's just not good.

Gaucamole with chips was good.

Lamb burger was excellent.

Chicken taco was a huge disappointment. It was rice in it and was soggy. Felt more like a burrito. I have had tAcos in a lot of countries including Mexico but never seen rice in it. Upon informing the manager he said they have rice in all tAcos. That's strange.

Coffee lamb chops were good too.

I think they need to figure their Mexican food right since most of the dishes are Mexican. And improve salsa please.

Service was ok ok.

Live performance nights they have are fun.

we went there on a live music nite.. and it was some of the local pop / rock / sufi bands.. honestly we hadn't heard of the band.. but there was quite a bit of euphoria amongst the crowd out there for the musicians and the songs.. very impressive for a popular place to promote musicians in such a nice manner..
to add ro it they had happy hours on selected stuff .. and the rates are also decent.. so a thumbs up there as well. food was good. the manager / owner was quite friendly.. had a good time.
just don't agree with their concept of charging entree fee. cover charge is a better idea I guess :-)

Depot48 is the successor of the outgoing Depot29 but smaller and at a different location. It is very easy to locate this place in the N Block market of GK 1 and is adjacent to Kasbah. As soon you enter the place, you would yourself want to move towards the big glass from where all the natural lights keeps pouring in. The tables just beside that are the most popular ones and even we opted for a table in that area. The decor is very chic and upbeat and will lift your mood up for sure.

Found Depot48 after some serious research to find the best waffles in town and we couldn't be happier. Depot48 is one of those rare places that gets every small detail right. From the ambience (great live music and a relaxed vibe) to the service (the friendly and passionate owners have great recommendations) to the food (sublime), everything is top notch. Even the menus (food porn on steroids presented on a custom made iPad app) are made with painstaking attention to detail. Having gone for the waffles we weren't expecting to have the best Mexican food we've had in India and so were blown away by the spiced jackfruit tostada, spinach and avocado dip and fish taco. And the waffles? The best we've ever had. Cannot recommend this place more.

Its been a while since I had written any reviews and I have been promising myself to write one since very long.

Depot 48 is located on the 2nd floor of the N Block market of GK-1. We did not make a table reservation but it was not a problem since they had a lot of space available. This place was decided by my sister as she wanted to try this place out for a long time and somewhat so did I, as I had heard about it from my friends for its kickass music nights.

The decor of the place was very old school like, they had built the place with old music cassettes. The staff was welcoming and they got us seated at a place near the windows. The music was not too loud and they were playing all the popular english mixes.

For food we had a Quesadilla (Grilled Chicken, Corn and Jack Cheese) , 2 Burgers i.e Surf & Turf and Depot 29 Lamb Burger. Both the burgers were served with Fries and Onion rings on the side and were juicy and tender. Not the best burgers but not bad either. We also ordered for a pasta called Linguine tossed with three chilies with Grilled Prawns. I really liked the pasta as it was not too heavy with less cheese , tossed in butter. This would be slightly chilli as the name suggests but was wonderful.

The best part of the lunch was the dessert. We went for the waffles Banana and Toffee, which is served with vanilla ice cream and toffee syrup. It was perfectly cooked , soft good amount of crunchy and really tasty.

Overall was a good experience and would surely go there on an evening next time for music and drinks.

Cheers !!
With Dikhshita Sarmah

Been looking for a decent Mexican meal in Delhi for a while. Visited this place for lunch, the decor is nice and the restaurant has a good vibe.

Ordered the tacos, shredded chicken with green salsa, pumpkin feta and pine nuts.

I know tacos are meant to be messy, but it gets a bit harder if the tacos itself are big and are torn. Tacos are meant to be a certain size so it's easier to eat but was not the case here. I felt like the taco was a roti and they had a Mexican filling. The fillings were pretty good and flavourful but could have used less rice and more of the filling itself.

Service was great.
Tannushree Bhardwaj
Loved the place. Some of the very good waffles in delhi that i have had so far. Chicken wings were not so good. Cocktails are also very good. The nachos are something different. Do give this place a try.

We visited here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was completelt empty when we entered, but got slightly inhabited during our time there.

The ambience of the place is decent. The seating is decent too.

I started by trying their Passion Fruit Mango Smoothie, which was sort of nice. Other than that, their prawn wrapped bacon was above average - the bacon was well done but otherwise the fish was just that. We also had their Cheese Cigar Rolls - they were not really shaped like cigars, and I didn't like the taste of their cheese much.

The service was good. The server was helpful and attentive, and the items we ordered were brought to us decently fast. Also, the server was accommodative about the way we wanted our dishes.

Nothing really mentionable though.

Liked the waffles and quinoa salad during my visit on a Sunday brunch with friends. The service is prompt and the ambience is pretty pleasing.

Celebrated my best friends birthday here. Since she love waffles and we dint regret our decision of chalking out this place. It was girls day out sort of a day. The staff was courteous enough to give suggestions. We ordered wild berry compote& macarpone waffles -it was simply amazing and tasty. Some tacos, quesadillas, burger it was all a vegetarian affair and it was superb. All in all a nice place with live music and some great food.

Located in N Block Market of GK-1, Depot 48 is one of the most popular restaurant of the area.
.
AMBIENCE
Its a small and cosy place, dim lited with really raw and rustic interiors😊😊. If you are a music lover then you are definitely gonna enjoy this place since there is a beautiful musical vibe attached to it which is phenomenal.😍😍
.
FOOD
* BBQ Chicken Wings (4.5/5) 🤤🤤- They were delicious and had a perfect balance of sweet, tangy and spicy flavours and blue cheese dip served along was beautifully complimenting the flavor of wings. 😌😌
* Chicken Breast in Mustard Sauce (4/5) 🙄🙄- If you enjoy lusciousness of cream and pungency of mustard, chicken breast in mustard sauce is a thing for you. Its one of the best mustard sauce that i ever tasted. ❤️❤️
* Ceaser Salad (3.5/5)🥗🥗 - Best thing about this salad was not drenched in dressing and veggies were really crunchy and fresh. Dressing had balanced flavors of mayo and spices and there was generous amount of bacon and chicken which is heavenly 😍. Any thing which contains so much amount of bacon automatically becomes scrumptious🥓🥓😍😍. Only thing was that lettuce was a bit bitter rest everything was nice.

Not only ambiance and food is great but when it comes to service there is nothing to Complaint about. am definitely gonna visit this place for its lovely ambiance and lip smacking food. ❤️❤️❤️

.

Finally some nice Mexican food. Though the menu is a bit confusing as its got both fusion and authentic dishes. The guacamole was fresh, chunky, and plentiful, and then served with in house lavash. The sides of rice and beans were also notably tasty and pleasantly textured. Everything tasted like it was made with care and attentiveness.

My favorite was Chicken tacos that tasted more like a burrito. The waffles are a must have. The only drawback was that they are under staffed.

A small place with big energy, this place has the chance to steal your heart away. Went there because a friend was performing with a band and absolutely loved everything.

The staff is limited which can cause some delay in the service but go there to stay for long to absorb every bit of it.

The decor is well thought and the menu is precise but promising. Try whatever you like but don't miss the waffles. They were pure love.

Tip: Reserve your table before going if it is a weekend !

Came for a quick bite to eat after some shopping. The ambience is nice and the service impeccable. We were assisted by Mithun who helped us choose the right dishes from the extensive menu. The Veg Linguini was really delicious as was the fish that my mum had. Mithun was kind enough to get the chef to tweak the dish according to her taste and that's the difference that make a place worth coming back to..

We visited on a Friday night. They had a live performance by Aditya Jassi, happy hours on White Rhino beer and the food was quite good. The combination of the three ... electric!

The service was prompt and courteous. We ordered a grilled chicken with mustard sauce (4/5), lamb chops (4/5), pasta in sirracha sauce and chicken (4/5), Depot 29 lamb burger (4/5) and ceasar salad with chicken (3.5/5).

Good place to have a nice Sunday breakfast with family. Loved their waffles and veg burgers. Great decor and quick service too. Good experience overall.

Really delicious food and a great, laid back vibe, love the burgers, the tacos and their fabulous guacamole bar. My favorite though is the habanero prawns. Best spot in Delhi for unwinding after work with live music, a delicious menu and a fun crowd.

Depot48 is one of my favorite places to enjoy both great food and music. The staff is exceptionally good. The best part about the restaurant is that despite being a full house, you never feel neglected by the staff. They are always attentive and the food is never compromised with.
Hiba Rumi
Was here a couple of weeks back . . Had their grilled chicken quesadillas, mac and cheese and watermelon and feta salad.
The quesadillas were decent but the Mac n cheese was very very good. Watermelon and feta salad lacked flavour, it almost seemed like there was no dressing at all.
But the overall experience was good.
Will visit again!

Great location, for a smart-looking restaurant, with some delicious food. I enjoy the ambience. I prefer not to have live music, preferring conversation instead, but it is a great venue for live music.
Amisha Chowbey
Had a blast each time we've been there! Their gigs are the best time to go, even though they're packed, the service is fabulous. Couple that with good food and you're sorted. Must try: the Quinoa salad, the burgers and top it with the Waffle. ❤️

Absolutely a different experience.. the owner is right there to take care of things personally.. great music, great food.. perfect ambience.. don't miss going to this place.

I am not a big fan of restaurant chains, nor of places set in malls but I do carry a soft spot for small, owner led establishments like depot . You can't help but love this place- with its easy vive and quirky interiors that fill you with nostalgia for the music you grew up with. (Notice the music tapes everywhere especially just outside the elevator )!
This a place run by a happy bunch of people and it shows ! You're always greeted warmly and the depot family is always around to make you feel welcomed.
The food is worth going back for again and again. I am a big fan of the pulled pork tacos/ burgers but the fish is amazing too. And the ham they source is excellent ! I land up ordering the same thing over and over again . Am so glad they have started breakfast because I finally get to choose stuff other than my usual . In a city that hardly has any decent breakfast options, this is one of the best.
And now for the desserts, order every kind of waffle and then top it up with the deviously delicious chocolate brownie. If that doesn't convert you then ..
oh and the coffee and cocktails go down smoothly and blissfully! Go try it.

So this one was a quick stop over during a busy work day. I am more of a salad person on weekdays and just hope to find a place that does not side tracks salads in their menus ! I was awestruck with the mouthful of quinoa salad that I ordered along with a mocha latte. Loved the presentation and the crunchy nutty flavour that the dish had to offer and not to forget the amazing ambience that this place has to offer. I am hoping to visit them on a weekend sometime so that I can lay my hands on their main course and review that as well 😁

Fun fun place. Even simple things like bloody Mary are so smooth and refined? Not sure of the right adjective here but just trust me when I say they are excellent

I do love the fancy way of presenting the dishes on the screens at the bar. Def inspired me to order differently.

We tried the quinoa salad, the chicken tacos and the veg burger. All seriously good and you taste something so different than what you might have already tried.

Need to go there so many times just to try different things on the menu!

Highly recommend

There is something magical with the restaurants in Greater Kailash and this little cute place is no different. The food is good but the music is as always Impeccable. Will visit again for sure.

Brilliant Place this One....went there specially for the waffles and they are worst visiting this place....the ambience is also great with some good music and great food and beverage choices as well!!

I visited this place a fortnight back & was so impressed that i went there again.
Ginger Fizz was good.
Corn on the cob -have never had this form of corn before...unique tasting.
Vada burger delicious.
Quinoa salad with pumpkin & pomegranate great.
Grilled chicken breast with mustard sauce had heavenly tasting spinach on the side .
Waffles to die for.
Chocolate cake in a jar was wow.
Highly recommended.
