Review Yellow Mirchi - New Delhi

Have been visiting this restaurant since a decade, the taste of food still remains excellent with Hygiene maintained & good hospitality. Our family's favourite remains "The lala mussa daal" & in appetizers the Hare Bhare Kebab & Dahi ke kebab! This is not to be missed restaurant in City Park Hotel, Pitampura.

Live music in was okay, a bit old-school. Food was okay. Service was good but a bit slow to attend to one's needs. The ladies at the front desk who handle the bookings gave me a lot of grief even though I had booked my table days in advance for a special event. Mr. RadheyShyaam was a good host and quite helpful with our needs.

Visited Yellow Mirchi with my family as it is close to my house this place is great. The atmosphere is cool, located on the second floor and window side Greenery. The attraction is the live singing and tawa roti (which is prepared right near you) Great hospitality, tried their famous Dal lala mussa, Paneer lababdar, subz biryani and tandoori veg. Platter etc.

Food preparation and ambience is nice but doesn't justify the price. Spring rolls were nice. Drinks were nice especially Pina colada. Kulfi falooda was very tasty. Dahi kebabs were very bland.

I would start with the ambience first, it was soothing and classy. The soft sufi music was just exceptional, and the singer and the team were taking song request from audience and playing that requested song also. Now, the food we ordered were daal makhni, garlic naan, and paneer. They were so delicious and had appropriate taste. 5 star to the whole team of yellow mirchi and we would love to come again.

I went here on my Dads bday which was coincidently on Lohri. The restaurant has a proper fine dine decor and ambience is pretty calm. They even celebrated Lohri and had some special punjabi delicacies for the evening. If someone is looking for some FINE fine dining experience in rohini, this is the place.

I had my cousins in Delhi arrange a get together in early November for about 35 family members: vegetarian, buffet style, in a set of two private rooms. One room was set up as a lounge, and drinks and appetizers were served here to the guests by wait-staff. This room also had seating for several people, and the other room had the buffet set-up plus seating for more people. The food was delicious, and the service, and overall experience was superb, well above what would be considered normal even in a five-star venue. I would recommend this place to anyone any day!

Went for dinner after long time ... Though food was good but little disappointed on service ... However I can understand slow service some time but not servicing fingre bowl .. is something I was not expecting ...

Went here with my family of vegetarians to celebrate. Ambiance is pretty good with dim lighting and focus lights, its a family restaurant and i could see lots of families enjoying the food here.<br/>We ordered kadai paneer, vegetable platter, chinese with fried rice, daal makhani, breads. Huge restaurant in Hotel City Park with live music and spicy food. The biggest highlight was service, very old school with knowledgeable staff. Second was the dal makhani which I think was the best I have ever had. It was super buttery to the point I could taste the butter distinctively. Rest of the food was spicy 🌶. But it’s a good type of spicy.

I went there with my family to celebrate some special occasion and I must say this restaurant had not disappointed me. Food, service, decor everything was just upto the mark and a beautiful singer made the atmosphere more pleasant with her melodious voice. Staff was too friendly and professional. I was bit sceptical after seeing few negative review about this restaurant but my experience was totally opposite. I found staff including Mr Bhatia quite cooperative and accommodative. They provided me place as per my liking despite of restaurant almost full. Serving staff was excellent. Even they guide me to chose best possible offerings. I had dal makhani, dahi bhalla, alu mattar salad. All were great. Ambiance of place is old but very good with live music. I recently visited here for a family dinner . We enjoyed a lot. Food was amazing. Staff was good . Ambience was pleasant too. We ordered jalandhari chicken for starters, which was superb in taste. For dinner we tried our hands on butter chicken, shahi panner and mix veg . All of them were amazing . For drinks we tried few mocktails. The best mocktail was get me up . <br/>4/5<br/><br/>

This hotel has no ethics to treat customers even after making reservation these guys asked us to wait when we could see half of the restaurant empty and when we decided to move from the hotel they said we will provide you table in 5mins.

Have been to this place a number of times and the experience has always been good. Went there last a couple of months back and the food was consistent as always, though the proportion is a bit small and that can be improved. The dal was yummy and so was the paneer but the garlic naan could have been crispier and better. The ambience is soothing. They have live music which will seem loud a bit and is inconsistent. Some songs are sung beautifully and some are a total disaster. Overall, a nice place to visit with family.

This is a good family dine out place in North Delhi. However, it is not as good as it used to be..the ambience and music is all good however they need to change a bit considering how new places are evolving. The food is good especially the mughlai food.

Yellow Mirchi used to be very popular amongst the resident of North Delhi but somewhere it has lost its charm with time. With my recent visit to this place, I found bland food and an unorganised staff which generally takes approx 45 minutes to serve one dish be it a bread or a curry which is highly disappointing. The ambience is out dated and no changes have been done since its launch.

The people here are very annoying. Very poor service. Bad behavior and intolerant attitude. Highly non professional. Please do not visit this restaurant as they are arrogant.

One of the best places to have good food and spend quality time with family. I visit this restaurant almost 2-3 times a year coz of the gr8 food that it serves. In my recent visit I was surprised to see that a rajasthani food festival was taking place. We thoroughly enjoy the ambience and the gr8 food that this place offers. The Tandoori platter and dahi kababs are a must try.The only complain that I have is that the live music tends to get quite loud .

I was here with my family for a dining when 'Punjabi food Fest' was going on.<br/>So the whole menu was based on Punjabi theme..from drinks to snacks and Mains!!<br/><br/>Service was really appreciating here. Thumbs up for it!!<br/><br/>Ambience of this place was based on pure punjabi theme because of punjabi food fest going on here.<br/><br/>I was expecting a lot from this place but unfortunately I didn't liked the food here much.<br/>It was quite normal.<br/>But the few snacks here were absolutely great namely 'Tandoori Chicken' and 'Mix Veg' from the snacks were authentic and tasty here.<br/>From the Mains 'Butter Chicken' was superb in taste. It looks beautiful seating, music is live old songs ghazals, and the food has made me puke, I have ordered mix kebab platter, the platter dishes is generally not deep fried but light roasted in tandoor, the chef has deep fried everything and it soaked in oil in itself, paneer was like rubber, mushrooms were same a hard rubber, I couldn't discuss Anything at that time due to my friend and I did not want to fight in front of him but I feel asif I ate a waste. Its a sick restaurant.

place is good, nice ambience. It has a cover of 176 members at a time. Their tandoori chicken, tawa mutton & desserts are lovely must try place for foodie, yes you need to compromise a little with the staff but the food is awsm.

Yellow Mirchi located at The City Park Hotel Pritampura is a beautifully made place with some great infrastructure and a really spacious place. I was there they before yesterday at their punjabi fest and I personally loved it. It's a total worth visiting the place. The ambience is good but the music could have been improved.<br/>The service is quite good not that great.The staff was pretty decent and gentle .<br/>I wish they could have taken less time while serving because the only problem was that the staff was really slow in the work of serving and conducting the methods of serving step after step....<br/>Interaction with guest is less , that also can be improved !<br/>The food was really scrumptious but it was a little spicy for me but overall it was fine .<br/>The dessert were mostly great and that's a personal recommend .. They came to the table to serve chicken tikka and went back without serving when manager called . Manager is also very unfriendly . I have been to this place many times now and couldn't get over with the delicious food they offer! It's truly a delight to dine here! Laal Mussa dal is something you would regret if you miss it! Quantity and quality of food is unparalleled!<br/>Mr. Rajiv Bhatia has always been a very nice host, very polite staff and a very family friendly ambience. The live classic/old fashioned band is something which can take you back in 90's and is something unique! Yellow Mirchi is one of the decent restaurant in North Delhi. <br/>Good North Indian food and traditional ambience is what one will get here. If you enjoy live music and ghazals, then it is a perfect setup. Its a bit on the pricey side and one may feel that the place needs a makeover. Nevertheless, if you are fond of good north Indian cuisine, you can definitely visit here.

Great place... very nice simple ambience for casual cum luxury dining. When we went there was a live performance going on . <br/>We enjoyed alot food and performance. In starters we ordered golden corn seekh in veg and chandi kaliyan in non veg. I have been here at this restaurant 4-5 times with my family and the taste has been the same always. It is mainly famous for its North Indian cuisine but also serves Chinese cuisine and does it right too. We’d generally order Veg. Spring Rolls, Raj Kachori, Afghani Chicken and a Vegetarian Platter (all the grilled viands in it are lip smacking, a must order) for the starters. And for the entrée we’d have Dal Makhani, Dal Tadka, Shahi/Kadhai Paneer (both are equally delicious) and Butter chicken. <br/>The food presentation and service are decent and the portions are also filling. <br/>The ambience is great, calm and peaceful with live ghazals in the center. The artists play Bollywood songs too if you’d ask (and yeah we have done that!). It’s a little heavier on the pocket but given the ambience, food and courteous staff, it justifies it all.

If there is one thing that I would surely like to lionize about the Yellow Mirchi, it has to be its awe-inspiring decors and splendidly designed interiors. Located in one of the nice and classy restaurants, The City Park, Yellow Mirchi is a place serving you with the two utmost essential things- elegant ambience and the commendable food quality. Although when one judges scrupulously he/she might find some obvious flaws related to the food, but I guess it is not substantial enough to be paid special attention to. <br/><br/>Had gone for a nice family dinner at Yellow Mirchi and had the following-<br/><br/>Paneer Tikka- Adequately spiced and properly cooked. Tasted delectable.<br/><br/>Dal Makhani- One of the great Dal Makhani preparations I have had in a while. Scrumptious!<br/><br/>Paneer Lababdar- Spiced up with exotic traditional flavors to deliver a mouth-watering taste.<br/><br/>Malai Soya Chaap- Not that great as compared to the other dishes, still tasted good.<br/><br/>In the end, it was obviously heavy on the pockets but I believe that for the experience that I had dining here at Yellow Mirchi, it was undoubtedly worth it!<br/><br/>My final ratings would be as follows-<br/><br/>FOOD- 4/5<br/><br/>SERVICE- 4/5<br/><br/>VALUE FOR MONEY- 4/5<br/><br/>AMBIENCE AND DECORS- 4.5/5<br/><br/>OVERALL- 4/5

hotel city park situated in city park is one of the best hotels i have ever been ... coming to its restaurent , the food is definitely good as expected but the theme was amzing i went there yesterday evening there wqs a rajesthani theme with live gazhals that got my attention. They were singing so beautifully that i was amazed and staff is also very coperative

A fine dining with great interiors, the space is huge with live ghazals in the centre!! Loved the concept . <br/>In appetisers tried veg platter which had panner tikka, stuffed aloo, mushrooms, chaap, it was very nice and tempting. The portions are too good and filling.<br/>In main course dahi Bhalla and dal makhani were fine too. Had hot chocolate fudge as the name it was but that was just the brownie with ice cream. Not the right name given to this dessert as it was just a brownie !

A perfect place for fine dining with family. Great ambience amazing food. Specially non veg. Had a perfect evening with family few days back. When it comes to fine dining there are limited places in north delhi. But this one has been our recent best.

Delicious indian food. Love the ambiance and music. Always waiting on weekend. So be there on time! Service is little slow. Heavy on pockets but occasionally its worth it. Must try - chandi kaliyan, tawa roti and lalla mussal dal ( dal makhani )

My favourite place for family dinners. Lovely Old World Ambience, Yummy Food and Live Ghazals (though they perform below par, and must get someone better). Service is slow at times, and most of the old stiff staff needs a change. This place never disappoints me, their dal makhni and paneer lababdaar are the best. <br/>The starters are equally good. <br/>On the contrary their live singing is pathetic ( especially the lady singer) but given the good quality food they serve , i won't mind listening to then

After seeing very good reviews about yellow mirchi, I finally made my mind to try this place. Nothing great about the ambience and food lacks variety. To my surprise food was pathetic. Starters were tasteless. We ordered tandoori mushroom.. They were too greasy and stinking with some cheap oil. Malai soya chaap was uncooked.. Main course was just average. All the food served was cold. <br/>Service was very slow. <br/>Not really a value for money.

We are a regular visited yellow mirchi-city park, pitampura. But I just not to understand today food was pathetic like anything , dal makhani was to buttery , bread stinks like shit, chicken tikka is too much spicy , tatter sauce is very bad in taste only good thing was kulfi which is successful to change our bad taste buds.......I'm not sure that revisit this restaurant again in my life. I'm very much disappointed to see things bad in this old famous restaurant.

Very very bad experience bad good bad music stale breads . The best thing was Kulfi faluda and mouth freshener in the end .was not at all expected by city park pitam pura <br/>

This used to be Sanjeev Kapoor's restaurant but not now, but I think it hardly matters ! There food is just delicious ! No matter what you ordering ... Live music just add wings to the evening !

Nice place for Indian & Chinese food. Starters dhai ke kabab, tandoori Brookli (out of menu) definitely must eat . live music is not good to hear. Singer & sound are very bad. Over all vegetarian food the best in this range.

Yellow Mirchi currently has a Punjab Festival going on, so expect authentic north-indian and Punjabi cuisine.<br/>Honestly, the food is great. Especially the staple vegetables. We ordered Dal Makhani and Kadhai Paneer. Both absolutely delicious!<br/>The choor-choor naam and pudina parantha were equally good.<br/>Avoid the mocktails, though.<br/>The service is very courteous. The manager even came to our table to discuss our feedback and asked for suggestions to improve whatever we didn't like.<br/>The ambience is perfect and there's soothing live music.

Dnt knw why i certainly couldn't connect myself with the food they served thr.. Curries didn't taste like what it shld be.. Staff n service was par excellence.. Been thr few times but this was the first odd day fr me thr..

Great ambience. A bit overpriced for the quantity offered. The dahi kebabs and biryani were amazing. Ideal place to spend some quality time with family.

Perfect family restaurant big menu for all and great North Indian food it's definitely a Sanjeev Kapoor signature restaurant👍👍🏽 . Go with reservations since its always full during weekends and holidays.

Went there for a dinner party with my cousins. Starting with the environment, ambience is commendable and staff is very courteous. Restaurant is quite big with ample seating place and beautiful interiors. They have live singers performing in the restaurant, but believe me, it is very dull and you'll soon start feeling irritated.<br/>Well, the best part is, they serve good food. We ordered many stuffs and they were able to carry it all very well. Naan was finely cooked and starters did their part too.<br/>Overall, a fruitful experience as a fine dining restaurant.
