Review Daitchi - New Delhi

Trishala Jain
Definitely my favourite restaurant for the past 10 years. The chocolate mousse is so dense, it's super yummy. They happen to have the best spring rolls you will ever eat, especially with the chilli sauce. The crispy fried vegetables are amazing (a lot of restaurants actually don't serve it crispy so it's not great but sidewok hit the mark). I love their pan fried noodles, however some may think it is a bit bland but still great nevertheless. I usually end up ordering the Hakka noodles, veg fried rice and vegetables in Sichuan sauce, all of which are great

Amazing food! Very tasty and perfect taste of spice ! We will come again ))

It is a beautiful restaurant and has multiple branches in National Capital Region. All the dishes are delicious and very nicely garnished. Good for having a fun time with your friends. The cafe portion is also very engaging. The location is also very prime and easily accessible. Spring rolls and desserts are especially tasty. It's a bit of an expensive place. But the serving is great. Service is good. Staff is polite and cooperative.

The ambience was excellent, the quality of the tables is impressive and plates were beautiful (can't understand Oriental strokes though 😬) Food was delicious and served really quick! We had good meat but the sticky rice was not as I expected, neither was the quality of Red Sangria wine. The staff were polite and mindful of our presence. We had a good time.

I had heard so much about food at Side wok, again had to check it from my list. And so i finally went for the GK N block outlet. the staff was warm, we tried sushi - tofu appetizers were mouth watering. Though the mocktails we ordered were too sweet to handle. it was a bad decision to order them. The Pad thai noodles were filling with vegetables in hot spicy sauce. little expensive, but its worth it highly recommended

Great ambience, fast service. Food was so so. Tried the wonton soup, the salt and pepper fried vegetables (excellent), the veg tempura, the crispy honey chicken (would order again) and the mixed hakja noodles (prawns not so fresh). Would recommend for kitty parties and quick office lunches. Bill for whole group came to 600 per head. Two orders of everything except three of soups. Enough for six.

Climb up that flight of stairs and you just wont regret. Nice food and a even nicer ambience (lovely photographs on the walls) makes Sidewok a nice place for sampling Chinese cuisine in the heart of N Block GK1 Market. If you plan visiting durong linch time then beware of the kitty party ladies...they simply make so much noise that it's not funny.

Their soups are good but food is not great.

I heard a podcast if highway on my plate in which Rocky and Mayur recomended the this place as the best Chinese restaurant. Well, either they were smoking the good stuff or the chef of this place.
We went here on a Sunday afternoon and we're thoroughly dissapointed by the lack of care shown by the chef.

We ordered a chili chicken dry, chicken Singapore gravy and the chowmein. The Singapore chicken was not upto the mark, the noodles were ok but what I was really surprised with was the chilli chicken!

The chef had literally not added any sauce to the dish, it was literally fried chicken with onions, and no other ingredient!

Now iv had chilli chicken in 5 stars and dhabas and everywhere un between. But iv never seen a chilli chicken which did not have a layer of sauce in it!

And highway on my plate literally recommended the chili chicken itself, i feel the chef is not intersted in his job anymore, I read some other reviews which said that the chili chicken here is different from other places, but it was still literally tasteless....
Never going back there again.

Have been eating their food for last 25 years. Yesterday was a fiasco. Ordered for delivery at 7:00 and food came at 10:00. The restaurant guy as usual told me at 8:42 that guy has left 10 mins back and then at 9:30 says his motorcycle broke down. Lies after lies. Quite unprofessional for the first time.

We visited this restaurant on a weekend afternoon. It was buzzing with people. This was our second visit to the place. If you are craving some authentic chinese cuisine, rest assured you've come to the perfect place. We ordered mixed fried rice, chilli chicken dry, chilli manchurian and pancakes. The chilli chicken served here is completely different from what we usually get elsewhere. We loved every bit of it. Quantity is sufficient for 4 people. Visit recommended!

Always been my go to place when it comes to have Chinese or japanese cuisine.. die hard fan of their pork chilli and lamb chilli... love for daitchi forever and ever ❀

This place definitely holds a very very special place in my heart since this used to be my mom’s ’Go to’ place for Golden Fried Prawns and Wanton Soup! Surprisingly the restaurant still smells just the same ‘chineseyy’ as I remember from my childhood. The food quality though was extremely disappointing! Quantity wise it definitely wowed me, but taste, quality, freshness was lacking in my meal here.
Chilly chicken definitely was the biggest bummer with the chicken chunks (mostly breast pieces) being extremely chewy and rubbery. The preparation too was absolutely disappointing with chicken being separate, chilly separate and onion separate yet just lightly tossed in the wok for the dish’s sake. The golden fried prawns though were decent and the prawn size was definitely satisfying to look at. The batter though wasnt crisp enough and the prawn was overcooked.
The tom kha soup definitely saved my meal here. Refreshing and very flavorful!
Definitely this place will always be special to me but foodwise, they really need to up their quality delivery game to beat the latest in the market.

Follow my food journey on Instagram at AllThatSheAte!!

This to me is the best chinese food in India. The pork chilli fry dry and mixed hakka noodles is to die for by themselves, even before you start looking down the rest of their menu. Love their thai soup and their honey chicken too. it’s reasonable and old world to top it all.

nice place, friendly stuff.. worth time and money
Cihnnita
The food was extremely bland and not cooked properly. None of the dishes had salt. Even after returning back the food to be cooked properly, there was no improvement in taste. To top it all me and my friend got food poisoning the next morning. Will never recommend this place.
Aan
The fish was 100% stale and bad. Got stomach infection after eating it.

PATHETIC THIRD CLASS!!!

I don't have any less to give otherwise I would have given a negative comment. The worst of the worst food.. I paid 1000 rs for one bowl of noodles which was half cooked and of such a bad quality that a even a food pedler on the streets can sell better. Secondly when we asked them to get the food cooked properly they simply sprinkled salt and just served it.. Then the manager came and had the audacity to say that food is cooked like this only... Trust me when I say this, it is not worth it.. I left the food empty stomach paid the bill with additional 10% service charge and literally had to go to another restaurant for lunch.. I literally feel if I have the forum to complain I would complain further of such a pathetic food being served by this restaurant which doesn't deserve to be existing!

Nostalgia never fails to drag me to this place. It’s the right place for desi, fancy and decently priced Chinese food. Pretty old one too, do visit if you haven’t yet.

Been here a couple of times as it's near my place. Daitchi has some amazing dishes like Chilli Chicken, Monchow Soup, Chilly Garlic Noddles, Crispy Honey Chicken, Fried Fish are a few of them. They serve nice blend of Chinese flavours. The staff is sweet and courteous. But I don't like the ambience it's super dark and old. They need to work on it.
Saurabh Kumar
Chilly chicken was not edible. We had to remove the pieces and just have the gravy. The gravy was also more like soup.
Tried daitchi after long time, but not going to try soon!
Amit Bhasin
We have been eating Daitchi food for over 25 years and love it as comfort chinjabi food. Their chilli fish dry, Hong Kong chicken, shredded lamb in hot garlic sauce are all fabulous- now that I’m on keto I often order the chicken mushroom soup, with spinach and black mushrooms- it’s a huge bowl of clear chicken soup full of goodness!
Rituraj Borah
We went there yesterday and am apalled to say that I had the most pathetic Chinese food ever in my life (literally). We ordered two pork dishes and two veg. The pork tasted like they had been frozen for an year atleast. It was dead rubber. One of the dishes was sweet and sour and it was so sweet that I had to eat two spoonful of garlic sauce later to offset the taste. I will avoid the place like the plague. And honestly the place should shutdown.
Geeti Solanki
Had an astounding background in this restaurant. The nature of nourishment per bit is liberal. Astonishing flavors and great planning. Just nothing about its taste has changed after some time.. the most heavenly nippy chicken that I have ate they are simply immaculate consistently. Would return consistently! An absolute necessity attempt in the event that you cherish Chinese cooking!
Animesh Varma
Bad taste of food. Over priced.
Ridhika Khanna
Sorry for the low rating but the food was really bad. I ordered hot and sour soup which had way too much vinegar. We ordered noodles, rice and chicken and none of them were upto the mark. Disappointed!
Malviika Battra
Had an amazing experience in this restaurant. I had no idea the food will be soooo yummy and delicious. The noodles and the spring role were up to Mark and the quantity is also good. The ambience the service everything is brilliant. Had a lovely time eating here. Enjoyed alot.

A good place in South Extention Market to have Chinese food. Some of the dishes taste authentic and some taste Indo Chinese. They can however customize as per your taste. Really liked the authentic steamed pork dimsums here.
Nandhini Reddy
Visited this restaurant one night with friends. Food wasn't great, a bit pricey for the stuff they served. Ordered chicken drumstick and there was no flavor. Just fried chicken mixed with some chilly and onion. The spices hadn't blended well. They charge a lil more than RS.400 for that starter and I have definetely
had better drumstick for less than that. The shredded potato starter was just okay. Was very disappointed with the quality of food.
Tanu Gulati
Amazing food and not expensive at all. The quality of food per portion is generous. Amazing flavours and good preparation. Sea food is very fresh and nicely cooked. Service is good too.
Manisha
The food is very good, tastes authentic and is reasonably priced.I would really Suggest you to go for their main course . Chilly chicken and hakka noodles are amazing 💓
Even their sweet corn chicken soup is really amazing....loved it!

Vijaya Priyadarshini
Just delicious! Have been visiting this place for years now and I can say will continue to do so forever and ever. Simply nothing about its taste has changed over time.. the most delicious chilly chicken that I have ate they are just perfect always. Would go back always! A must try if you love Chinese cuisine!
Namrata Bora
Good food. Fast service. I love the Daitchi Special noodles here and the shrimps on toast. Good place if you are looking for a quick meal in south ex market!
Anuradha7ggn
A restaurant with an old world feel! Food is very average, however the service is good. Best part is the convenient location ! We were informed that they fry chicken in all the dishes except for hot garlic one. So if you are looking for stir fry, you end up having only one dish, which is quite surprising !

Fast Delivery,Average flavors, Food, Big Portion, NOT ECONOMICAL;

1-Noodle plain+Chicken Dish+ Chopsuy = Rs1200-1500

Portion is Good for 4-people;
Sarika Mishra
Average food.... limited menu option.... although great ambiance..... staffs are polite and humble... those who love japanese cuisine may visit the place otherwise nothing much interesting to eat there....
Arjit Benjamin
The restaurant is a very old however, the food was average, nothing exceptional. Moreover, the management needs to take care of the hygiene as one of the customers saw cockroaches running through the main seating area.
Sheetal K
The food is good! Good servings! Yummy taste. The rating is just low because their Air conditioning is quite bad ....gets very stuffy and uneasy. Would like the place to be renovated.
Johnsmile Khoirom Loitongbam
Terrible ambience, seating, service, and food.
The portions are quite big and the prices are acceptable. But these weren’t able to save the overall experience at all.
The tempura ebi was nothing short of a joke.
Would not recommend this to anyone.
Aakshi Kashyap
I was literally craving for some great chinese food last night and while searching for some good chinese restaurants on Zomato, I found Daitchi.
I have to say that this is one of the best places for chinese cuisine in Delhi. They have an oldie goldie ambience and serves some really appetizing and delectable chinese food.
Abhishek Das
Best Chinese restaurant in Delhi. People should try shredded pork in hot garlic sauce and prawn Noodle. Interior is quite simple and the waiters are very decent.

Simply Fabulous! My friend & I have the most wonderful memories of divine quickie lunches from during our college days! We used to hitch free rides from LSR & rush to eat lunch at Daitchi atleast once a week! On a shoe string budget, we would order only a portion of Hakka noodles each & yet believe me - they were the most blissful lunches we shared! What’s remarkable is that now, almost 3 decades later, we still eat here & still love the food, the service, the simplicity, et al. The biggest compliment I can give this restaurant is that it’s still the same - IT ALWAYS DID & STILL CONTINUES TO SERVE THE VERY BEST CHINESE IN DELHI! Don’t know how they have managed it - my sincerest complements to the chefs, staff & ownership for the great job they have been doing! Many like me, look forward to eating several more great Chinese meals at Daitchi - for years to come!

Ps. Will really appreciate your tying up with some home delivery services so we can enjoy your meals more frequently, thanks!

Regards,
Namrata Sareen

What an experience of insult. This waiter asked us to keep quiet and not talk now. As this is a Restaurnt and not our house or garden. There was just one more couple sitting there who had no problem with our talking. His exact words were “ Ab chup ho jao. Bahot bol liya hai. “ this was the height of rudeness in hospitality industry. He absolutely had no regret as we walked out of the restaurant and the humble uncle rebuked him.
Satish Gupta
The food is delicious and the portions are very generous.
One of the best Chilli Garlic Noodles we have ever had. The staff is very courteous and the service is quick..
Definitely worth a visit.
Pranav Sahay
Went here in 2008..after getting to know about it from a female colleague in 2005..simple, authentic taste....nothing out of the ordinary but they have been serving customers since 1976..tells you that simple things done correctly will help you run the ship for more than 40 years. Ample parking..drive by location serves shoppers perfectly. but more spicy and tangy chinese cuisine restaurants are there in the area now.

Daitchi is quite a popular restaurant in one of the most expensive shopping area of Delhi, the South Ex II market. It started in the early 70's as stated in the display board outside and is quite evident when you move indoors which gives a quite old world feel. The more surprising is that it has survived so many years despite being in an expensive area where restaurants open and shut down with high frequencies. I think the reason behind is that they have not experimented with dishes much and have stuck to popular dishes which have a loyal following. A nice chinese restaurant to have lunch or dinner with family and friends.

Location: It is based on the ground floor of South Ex II main market with a golden signboard in red colour fonts welcomes you. Quite easy to reach with South Ex metro station within walking distance of the market.

Parking: There is paid parking in front of the market and is quite large. Charges are around Rs.20 per hour.

Ambiance: Nothing fancy about it just plain old world charm inside. Decoration is not at all over the top just simple but elegant.

Seating: Space is limited being in a shopping area so seats around 30+ people at a time. It is a typical sofa and chair combinations with sofas aligned to the wall. Tables are little small for a group of four but nothing to get too much uncomfortable.

Service: Despite not being a full house service was kind of ok. Nothing to complain about. Though not fully professional, the servers were prompt in their jobs. Tables were cleaned quickly and requests were met immediately.

Food: Non-veg rules here so vegetarians please excuse. Fish and Pork items are most popular here. We ordered Fish Sweet n Sour with Chowmein Hakka Style. In drinks Fruit Beer and Fresh Lime Soda were not up to the mark. Still the food is tasty and portions are good.

Pricing: Make no mistake that eating out here is costly. All items specially the sea food items are quite expensive by at least Rs.50-100 per item for a similar kind of restaurant. Well its mostly being based out of a posh locality.

Overall its a nice restaurant for chinese food lovers specially sea-food. Do visit here if you are tired of the shopping and want to have some good food. Price will be a deterring factor but can be worth the spend once a while.

As good as it gets for chinese food in the area.
The staff was friendly as well.
Definitely worth trying If you are looking for chinese cuisine in the area

This place never gets old. If you looking to have some good Chinese food đŸ„˜ you’ve come to the right place.
The interior is small but the food is really good. Bang for your buck

Great chinese food. Noodles with black pepper chicken is one of their specialities. Also, their soups and starters are very nice. Prices are really reasonable. Good place for a lunch. Place is closed between 3.30-7 in the evening.

Stale food. All frozen old meat is fried and served. They take less than a minute to serve you. Very bad experience. Most of food was left over and we dint want to parcel it.

old is gold and if you're in the mood for some chingjabi Daitchi is it. they serve you some amazing pork dishes. love the daitchi bahway soup.

Felt like I was visiting a chinese restaurant in Kolkata! So authentic, something that Delhi seemed to be lacking. Had chicken clear soup with golden fried shrimp balls and spring fried chicken for starters! Went with schezwan mixed rice and daitchi special chicken for mains. The food was amazing and chinese food lovers won’t be disappointed!

Good and simple food.
Things to order:
Chicken hot n sour soup
Wanton soup
Talumein soup
Shredded lamb/crispy honey chicken
Singapore chicken
Chilly garlic noodles
American chopsuey
Fried Pork chilly
Daitchi special noodles

You can't go wrong with your food here and this restaurant has been around for ages now. Good quality of ingredients overall, though there's room for improvement. It's old, a classic and not like the run of the mill Chinese restaurants that are overly spiced in their food preparation and use a lot of oil. Works best for all, if you're dining alone, with someone or in a group. Pocket friendly and good food both go well to describe Daitchi.

It has been ages since i have been eating food from Daitchi. I have seen there transformation over the years. Ordering Chinese means Daitchi for us (staying v nearby). Typical order has been chili chicken dry (awesome n crispy), American chopsuey (previously was better, their crispy thing was better now its ok, but still nice), prawns fried n all, singapore chkn, etc gravy chkns good, fried rice grt, noodled also good, soup is nice too.
Courteous staff. Their boss n management also v nice.
Really nice place to eat too n order delivery.

The food here is just out of the box . The service is also very good . Their timing is very suitable for late night dining. The ambience is clean. So are the restrooms. You can look over the photos how relishing the food looks

Been going there since childhood so i might have a biased view. The chinese food quality & service has been consistent all throughout these years! Its a classic.
favourite dishes-

- Chicken Talumein Soup
- Chicken Stew Rice
- Chilli chicken dry

Have visited this place many a times. Nothing has changed over the years. The taste, service and service is all good. Decent place for family dinners and get togethers in South Extension 2. Hospitality is great.

I love this place , ambience on lowside but good food, reasonable price and quatity is very good. Fish with pepper and salt was awesome so was the chicken drumsticks.
Dhananjay BHOLE
Very bad service, average food and rude behavior by their steward Pravin. Not worth visiting at all. Went for lunch but instead got average food and rude staff.

Daitchi is the old guard and bastion for Chinese-Japanese cuisine resteraunt in New Delhi.. Opened more than 35 years back, this restaurant is at the center of South Ex Part 2 market, which gives it a good footfall of eclectic gentry and Chinese-Japanese cuisine lovers, specially from surrounding posh South Delhi colonies of AIIMS Campus, South Ex, Gulmohar Park, Neeti Bagh, Def Col etc. We order regularly (almost twice a month at least!) from there, but I personally make it a point to visit the resteraunt to enjoy its cosy quaint ambience. The food, to simply put, is Amazingly Delicious! This goes to show that a resteraunt can hold its own and survive the trends of time, if the food is Great! The standout best dishes to have in its 3 course menu with mocktails, are Dry Chilli Chicken Boneless, Golden Fried Prawns, Shredded Dry Lamb Chilly, Daitchi Special Chicken, Double Fried Pork, Fish Garlic Sauce, Daitchi Special Chowmein (Veg/ Non Veg), Chilli Garlic Noodle (Veg/ Non Veg), Daitchi Special Rice (Veg/ Non Veg), Mixed Rice, American Chopsuey. For VEG lovers, must try Shredded Potato Dry Chilly, Spring Rolls, Veg Manchurian Hot Garlic Sauce, Mix Veg in Hosin Sauce, Roast Bean Curd Chilly & Garlic, Garlic Noodles, Egg Fried Rice and Garlic Rice. For SOUP lovers, Hooku Soup (Veg/ Non Veg) is a must try because of its flavours. For MOMOS connoisseurs, Pork and Shrimps Momos are just heavenly. Desserts are something which you surely will not have space for in your tummy once you are through, probably the reason why there aren't many choices for that, else would have been a 5star rating by me!

very poor quality chinese food. all the curries taste the same very expensive for this kind of food. service is good. please improve the way you make your food

This place was great, the food was awesome. Everything I ate was amazing. Watch out some of their food is a little too spicy. Overall one of the best chinese Restaurant I have been to.

Years ago when i used to work in Nehru Place i heard of this place from a colleague of mine. Since then i have been here a couple of times, each time returning with a good satisfied feeling. The place hasn't changed much .The food is delicious, the rates still affordable and the variety good enough.

This Chinese restaurant has been in the South ex (part 2) market since more than two decades. I have been visiting this restaurant since I was a child and infact this was my first encounter with Chinese food. They have two floors for seating at the restaurant and they sport a simple dĂ©cor. Comfortable seating and ambient lighting makes it great for family meals. I don’t visit the restaurant very often, but I surely order every two weeks. The food quality has been maintained their flavours and great. My absolute favorite is their Dry Chilli Chicken; infact one of the best chilli chicken I have had. For starters you can opt for Dry Chilli Chicken, Springs rolls and wontons. For main course opt for Chilly Garlic noodles, Chicken Chopsuey and Shredded Chicken.
If you are a Chinese lover, you should surely give this one a try.

Baaaaad soup... Hot and sour... Once upon a time it had lovely food but today it was pathetic, actually worse than pathetic... N service if it could be any slower, upon asking I have been told first batch of dimsums got over cooked n so a new batch neighborhood done up...

Daitchi is a Chinese restaurant. Which have best taste and quality with good food quantity where it's on of the oldest restaurant in the town. I have always enjoyed it's food. Best place for Chinese foodie..
Food Coma
Chinese and Tibetan Cuisine is served in this family restaurant. Its a very old restaurant so don't expect a fancy ambience.
Wonton soup taste and quantity is Awesome. Innovative starters-prawn tempura had 8-10pcs of Jambo prawns which were absolutely mind blowing.
Hong-Kong style curry is another amazing thing to try. Stir fried vegetables were very delicious and a very good option for vegetarians.

1500-2000rs for 4 people with all 3 Course meal and mocktails for each one.

If you are a Chinese lovers as I m. You should definitely go diggin some good Chinese food.

Would like to share a backstory...
When my mother was pregnant with me.. Every food she would eat resulted in her throwing up.
Until one day my uncle took my parents to this place...
And guess what.. Daitchi is the only one who fully satisfied her hunger to the end 😊😊. And i guess that is the reason why i love Chinese so much because I've got daitchi's pan friend gravy noodles flowing through my veins.
This was 24 years ago.
As she describes the food of daitchi, I'm happy to say she wasn't wrong one bit...
Its still the same old delicious authentic Chinese.
Had their Chilly chicken and mix non veg noodles....
Mmmm.... Best Chinese ever tasted.

Quantities and qualities are just perfect for the price you pay and your time there is fully worth it.
But the place has begun to show its age, they could do a face-lift of the ambience. 5 stars for that then 😊😊

Funny thing, don't take your date there 😄😄... Every couple present there was not giving a single sign of attention or affection to their partner.. Why? Because the FOOD WAS DAMN GOOD.
So good that you keep 'love' aside for a while. 😊😊

Went here for dinner last month for my sister's birthday. We ordered the Daitchi Special Chowmein, Daitchi Special Chicken, Daitchi Special Fried Rice and Honey Chili Potatoes (as appetizer). The meal was delicious and perfectly seasoned. This place is perfect for cosy family dinners or a nice lunch with friends as it serves authentically prepared Asian food (Chinese and Japanese).

A very old one in the middle of the posh market. Shave tried chilli chicken and many soups. Do try it out as food is why their Usp is. Try it

A good place to have some sumptuous and delicious Asian dishes. Prices are also quite decent and my decision to stumble into this place was well justified by the food.
Ashiya
Been there quite a few times. And each time I ordered sliced lamb szechwan style+prawn fried rice because the combo is to die for. I love everything about this place, the customer service the whole atmosphere its just very inviting.
Chandan Wadhwa
The place can make anyone fall in love with it all due to its look and maintenance. One gets good feeling seeing classy decor, and good lighting effect, there is lot on menu at this place to choose from, everything is delicious and unique with full of taste full marks for preparation. The starters offered here are great. Everything has unique signature flavour. The veg starters too were equally delicious and worth trying. Ask any thing and any dish they present it with pleasure. The blend of taste was perfect every time they brought new cuisine.

Not much eatery options in south ex part 2 once you are tired shopping and equally hungry!
the place is an old world fine dining chinese restaurant and serves some great authentic chinese... we ordered the chilli chicken and the garlic chilli noodles which was well cooked. The place needs some renovation and the prices are high for the ambience, decor and limited menu.
Has loads of scope for improvement.
Kenyuni Tep
This is an old gem of a restaurant tucked away in the midst of a bumbling market area. Staff is very courteous, polite and although service was a little slow on my last visit, dinner was still very satisfying. Their chilly pork ribs are a must have! This place is a good option if you want to have a pocket friendly and scrumptious simple dinner minus the unnecessary fancy trimmings. Drink selections need to improve tho. Very less variety.
Gaurav Dhar
This place doesn't disappoint . Been coming here since I was Kid but the quality has remained the same. My parents having coming here since 1978 and they still prefer the food here then other upmarket places in Delhi. This was the original Delhi Chinese restaurant. Maybe they are not the most authentic but which restaurant is definitely up there amongst the better ones for its sure quality and variety of food and the fact that time has stood still with the plates the decor and the staff

Appalling hygiene standards. We found a cockroach in the decanter from which the waiter was serving us water. Please order bottled water if at all you are hell bent on visiting this place!
Date and Time of visit - 19th March 2017, 10:30 PM

Super cute intimate restaurant with friendly and helpful staff! Decorations were very pretty. I was very pleased with my chicken in black pepper sauce as well as the naan, which was the perfect combination of light and doughy. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Can not say enough amazing things about this place. Food was phenomenal and the ambiance was great. The staff was so nice and listened to what each of us liked before recommending dishes (all of which were delicious.) I got the chicken red curry (even though I was hesitant) and it ended up being everyone's favourite dish of the night. The fried fish and crispy honey chicken were fab as well. Don't miss this gem.

Good Chinese food with quick service. The portions are good. We had a quick lunch today; ordered Drums of heaven, Chilli Chicken & Veg Fried Rice. Two adults and a 5 year old could not finish it all. I have had good food experience here before too.

I am so in love with this restaurant.

It is my all time favorite chain in South Delhi.
Reasonably priced!

Must try : Daitchi special noodles and shredded chicken.

Excellent food. I have been going to this place since childhood, amazing Japanese food. I really love the food. My favourite is the Hooko soup.

he food is Chinese but modified to suit the Indian tongue, and it is very reasonably priced. It is not crowded on weekdays. But the service is prompt on any day!
The_unknown_food_battle
One of the oldest place in Delhi. Daitchi is an outstanding Chinese outlet there. The quantity is more than sufficient. Go for its Daitchi special chicken. In 1 plate, they give around 10pieces....excellent taste. And service is very good
ADITYA DAS
The ultimate Indian Chinese comfort food. I have tried numerous Chinese places basis recommendations but nothing comes close to this place. I have being visiting this place for years. This place has its own cult loyalty and those people will never like any other place.

Must try is the Dry Lamb Chili, Stir Fried Greens (in Oyster sauce), Hooku Soup (right now the Delhi Winters is the perfect time to have this), Mangolian Shrimps, Fried Fish Chilli, Chinese Chopsuey and Vegetables in Hot Garlic Sauce...and so on.

I have read some reviews on this forums where people have complained about the service and waiters and all. Please do remember that this is a very old place and its all about that. The staff is very nice and its been like that ever since I know.

This restaurant provides an amazing variety of Chinese and Japanese cuisines as it was told by a friend of mine when he recommended this place to me. So I thought of having my dinner over here only this particular day since it is very closely located from my hostel. As I entered the place, the aura of the place really had a great effect over me and I kept on appreciating the place. I had over here Chinese choupsey and Schezwan Fried Rice. It was overall a nice restaurant to be visited for once surely.

Food - now a days worst, was better 2-3 years ago
Type - chinese
Had egg fried rice, chicken drum sticks, basa fish and chinese choupsey. All had no good taste

Wonton soup is ok rest all is crap

Nothing was excellent and cost was exorbitant.

Skip this place if going out for dinner. Lovely food but severely underemployed.
We had Chicken Manchow, Lemon Coriander and Chicken Hot and Sour Soups. And Chicken Salt and Pepper. Chicken S&P wasn't even average. Liked the Manchow soup. The hot and sour soup was too thick with cornflour.

I like such places usually because they have a very 80s feel to them.

Wow! The Daitchi Special Chowmein is just wonderful. There is more meat than you would believe. My kids' favourite and now mine. Chinese at its best.

If there is one dish that I have to choose among all the restaurants and menus across Delhi NCR, the kind that you crave on a rainy sunday morning or a cold winter evening, the Daitchi Bhavay would definitely be it! Try it and know true satisfaction!

It's in the main market of South Extension II. Near Dominos. Serves mostly chinese cuisine. Chilli prawns are mangolian chicken are definitely a try. Ambience is warm. Staff is very much aware about the dishes they serve.

South Extension 2 , Main Market . It's a place which is best for the dinner. Nice locality , Nice crowd. I love the Chowmin with Munchurian . It was so so delicious that I couldn't stop myself. Prices and fixed and moderate. Has a beautiful decor. Staff is curtious . Overall a place must visit .

If you order noodles from here, please order Daitchi special noodles. They are way more tasty than their other noodles. Loaded with prawns, chicken, pork etc, the noodles taste very nice. Chicken salt and pepper is very tasty too. Chicken manchow soup is tasty too.
Flies are a problem here. I had to change my glass as two flies were sitting there. Staff could be more courteous.

One of those restaurants, who are not really concerned about the business earned it seems, haha! The quantity per plate is amazing. And the flavours are great!

The food used to be great probably 2 years ago but now the restaurant seems to be going down the drain. Worst food experience in the past two orders
The Groo Grux King
Hands down, my favourite chinese restaurant in delhi. I have some great memories of this restaurant. First visited this place, back in 2008, and I will never be able to forget the flavours the chicken in hot garlic sauce had to offer. One dish that you won't find in the menu, are the fried pork goblets. If you're a fan of pork, then you absolutely should try it! Great value for money, as the quantity and portions are unbelievable. Daitchi will always leave you making plans about what to order when you'd visit next.

This is a decent place to go when you have chinese food cravings, i can say that for a non vegetarian , I have no idea about vegetarian food here though. I have been to this place just once and it wasn't bad. I tried wonton soup, five spice chicken with chilly garlic noodles and there was a dessert which I can't find in the menu and it was really great(with ice cream and fried noodles) please ask them If you're there.
Wonton soup is good (if you have had this kinda soup before you'll relate)
Five spice chicken was different attempt which was successful.
Damn! I can't recall the name of that dessert đŸ€” , lets just call it a dessert( this thing is a must try if you are at this place) its a hot and cold combo, you'll love it for sure.

A small (almost hidden) restaurant nestled in South Ex Part 2 market area. This place is a MUST try if you are looking out for some unexplored places with some authentic Chinese food. Unlike current day restaurants not very commercialized. The food portions are excellent and very reasonably priced too. The place is more 20 years old but they have maintained the consistency. Definitely recommended.

Decent non-veg dishes... Too dark inside for comfort though. Fried pork is great sometimes. However, there is very little option for vegetarians....
If you are in South Ex. and craving for Chinese, Daitchi is the best option. But remember this place is closed from 3.30pm to 7 pm, I did a mistake by visiting this place once at 5.30pm and it was closed. Daitchi serves variety of Chinese dishes. I like the food here also i didn't had any problem with the service.
Whenever I am at this place I always order a chili chicken because they make it pretty tasty. Some of the dishes which I have tried :

Shredded dry lamb chilli and Chicken pepper salt. Both of them are very good.

Double fried pork. It very crispy and delicious. One of my favorites.

Do try their Daitchi special chowmein. It very good comes loaded with pork, chicken, shrimps etc.

For desserts Darshan is very good with ice cream.

Overall rating.

Ambience 3/5

Service 4/5

Taste 4/5

Pocket friendliness 2.5/5
