Review Daryaganj Restaurant (aerocity) - New Delhi

Tried this place as part of a stop over while travelling back to Melbourne - their butter chicken was highly recommended to us by a few friends. Found the butter chicken taste as good but not as good as what we expected it to be (hence 4 star). The service and atmosphere of the restaurant and places near by was great. I would recommend trying this place.

I tried their butter chicken and dal makhni. Not even kidding, but the dal makhni they offer is so different, unique, special and delicious. Butter chicken was not as sweet as you find everywhere else. Gravy was thick and different. Chicken pieces tasted as if they were cooked in tandoor first. Staff were very polite and helpful. They have a very tasty green chutney. I loved the chutney so much that I asked a staff member if they can pack a little chutney, he gave me a very big jar of chutney (which they sell, as it is very much demanded). But the man told me that it is complementary as we liked it so much. Very good food seriously.

I had a wonderful time at Daryaganj Restaurant in Aerocity, where I enjoyed the authentic and delicious North Indian cuisine. The restaurant is by the inventors of butter chicken and dal makhani, and they did not disappoint. The food was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The service was good, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a chic and contemporary interior, with a signature aroma that enhances the dining experience. The highlight of my meal was the thandai, a refreshing and aromatic drink that was the perfect end to a perfect meal. I have never been to such an experience before, and I would highly recommend it to everyone who loves good food and good vibes. Daryaganj Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who wants to taste the culinary legacy of Punjab.

Loved this restaurant. This place is inside Worldmark 1 mall and can be reached here by following maps. Parking is available here. Coming to the restaurant, we were 7 people and the seats were assigned to us after a wait of 5 mins. We ordered Naan, Dal Makhni and Paneer sabji. The quantity was good wrt the price and the status of this place. Foreigners and only certain types of people visit this place, so the place is quiet and the ambience was great. I would suggest, if you're willing to spend Rs 4-5k for a people of 4-5, then this place is great. Definitely recommend.

I tried this restaurant while meeting a friend coming from Canada. We wanted to try something Indian with some authentic desi food. Loved every bit of it. Tasty food, nice ambience and attentive staff

Placed on the basement in Aerocity Worldmark1. Great staff, even though we did not have a table reserved, they tried to accommodate us at the earliest. I am not saying that they deviated to give us seats. But they did their best. Heera was the guy who took our orders and he was patient to help us with the right ones. Food was hot and tasty. Even after the final ordering time, we still asked for another curry, and he was glad to try push the kitchen to make us tht extra one. These kind of staff is required to keep you smiling and enjoy your day at a restaurant. Hats off to the team, especially to Heera. 😊

Situated in Aerocity, New Delhi, this Indian restaurant stands out as a top-notch dining destination. Both their vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings boast exceptional flavors and enjoy equal popularity. Personally, I highly recommend savoring The Original 1947 Dal Makhani paired with Burani Raita and Garlic Naan. Their reputation for delectable Kulfi is well-deserved, particularly the Kesar Pista Kulfi that I had – its sweetness was perfectly balanced. The ambiance exudes a rustic charm, meticulously designed to transport you to the Delhi Post-Independence era. Service is truly remarkable – plates arrive warm, and orders are promptly served within 15 minutes. The entire experience is truly exquisite.

Amazing food and service! Daryaganj offers a great overall experience with delicious food and great ambience. Must have vegetarian dishes were the original Dal Makhani, Tandoori Brocolli, Dahi kebab and Paan kulfi. The place is very popular with good amount of waiting so dont miss out on reaching early or getting a reservation

So this outlet of Daryaganj in Aerocity was the first one to open back in 2019! But I only visited this place a few days a go for the first time to see if the Shark Tank India hype was real. The place serves 2 kinds of Butter Chicken. One is the Original 1947 Butter Chicken and the other is Today's Butter Chicken. Looking at the names on the menu it feels like one is a stale item and the other is freshly prepared on the same day, but it actually means it is cooked in the way it was cooked in 1947 and the other one is more modern. So since the hype was around the Original 1947 Butter Chicken, we ordered that along with 1947 Dal Makhni, Chicken Malai Tikka and Subz Biryani. The Butter Chicken has a coarse gravy owing to the handcruched tomatoes because they didn't have blenders back then. Even though they mention using only butter in this, the Butter Chicken lacks the flavour and fragrance of butter. As you eat, you get only the tomato flavour and after a point you feel the raw tomato flavour. Should have gone for Today's Butter Chicken. The Dal Makhni on the other hand was absolutely delicious. It was creamy and flavourful and you can just have it by itself! The Malai Chicken Tikka wa smildly flavoured and the chicken was moist and juicy!! The service here is very prompt and the outlet has a beautiful ambiance. It sure is a pricey place, but definitely worth visiting.

Wow! The best Butter Chicken I have had for some time. This restaurant advertises that it is the inventor of the original Butter Chicken and offers the original, less creamy, version on the menu as well. (I highly recommend you try the original recipe). So food quality was excellent and not too expensive BUT... The service was SO slow. The restaurant was busy in the early afternoon I visited. However, there was a table for my group. The waiter took ages to deliver the menus, then ages to get drinks order, then ages to take the food order. Must have been nearly 1 hour from entering to getting food on the table. I hope this was unusual or this restaurant won't survive.

So ordered bharwan paneer tikka from Daryaganj restaurant and I just loved the packaging. Two glass bottles filled with mint chutney and sirka onion, paneer tikka in good quality disposable with saunf and mishri in small cardboard packages. It was simply great 1. Taste was delicious 2. After having that, there wasn’t any place for dinner in my belly 3. The packaging was great and I m keeping that with me

The best dal makhani I have ever had. Butter chicken was good, but a little too spicy for me. Awesome staff brought me cream to add and help with the spice level. Amazingly atmosphere and wonderful staff. The cheese naan was also lovely.

There is a reason why this restaurant has such a grand legacy and is famous. I went there along with my family and it tirned out to be best decision. We celebrated our new year with all the other customers. The food is delicious. Their daal makhni is awesome. There pineapple mojito is a must try those who like sweet drinks. Service is up to the mark.

It is one of the most authentic restaurants in all of Delhi. The food is delicious, even though it takes a whole lot of time to prepare and serve. But I guess they prepare the food fresh for you and that makes the whole preparation time worth it. (Recommendation - The modern day Butter Chicken)

I recently got the opportunity to visit Daryaganj restraunt in Worldmark Aerocity at round of tasting table with Plates2miles group and had a great experience. The restraunt is taking care of all the sanitisation procedures to make sure our dining experience is safe.

Coming to the food, every dish that I tried was full of flavors . In starters, chicken màlai Tikka and chicken pakora was the best I ever had. I also loved there Jimikand kebab which was an interesting dish in itself for vegetarians lovers . In drinks, I tried there immunity welcome drink Haldi Jaggery lemonade it’s so superb.

Main course was again amazing full of each flavours n khadde masala . Their haldi chicken was healthy yet so tasty. I really liked their modern day butter chicken with naan. I also tasted the Dal makhani n Mutton curry which is very different ,Just love it

Finally I ended my meal with the delicious kulfi and phirni . The atmosphere was very friendly and full of laughter and it was a pleasure experience the head quality of the restaurant Mrs Shipra has introduced us wth all dishes n tell the story such an great personality 👍😊

This place is pretty average. I can't understand what's the hype all about this place.
Ordered raan, which was below avg.
Veg platter - abt average
Tandoori Broccoli - ok ok
Tandoori fruit platter - as if dipped in honey and then tandoor. Too sweet

1947 dal - decent
1947 paneer - it's like lik tandoori paneer dropped in just plain and kacha tomato gravy. Pretty disappointing

Breads - good but all cold twice.

Desserts
Kulfi - good
Gulab jamun - hideous
Phirni - ok ok

Overall experience - pretty disappointing.

Staff - courteous but lost. U have call zillion Times even in an empty restaurant for basic service of water and tissue.

Go with really no expectations and u might find it ok.
I went with high due to huge hype so thoroughly disappointed.
On the recommendation of various people and publicity by the owner's, we planned a birthday dinner of my wife....recently. As we reached, the restaurant was well occupied and we had to wait for 45 mins to have dinner. As our turn came....we were excited to visit the place. Nice ambience, well themed, good and Courteous staff....We order the famous Dal Makhni & Paneer Butter Masala....Original Style....Gold Kebabs and Veg Tandoori Platter & Cheese Naan.

To Be Honest, Veg Platter was Standard in taste. Paneer Butter Masala..Was Not liked by us. But, The Dal Makhni Was Fantastic 👏 👌 😀. Cheese Naan Was Awesome & Goli Kebabs 🍢 😋 Were Delicious. Overall 8***out of 10. We must recommend. Staff and restaurant manager were fantastic 👏 👌 😀. Loved It.

Recently visited this place for dinner and i loved the ambience, the taste of the food and the service. Staff was really courteous and polite.

1947 butter chicken has tomato based gravy with no cream, it is an authentic recipe for the butter chicken but i think i should have gone for Today’s Butter Chicken as nowadays butter chicken for us is meant to be creamy and buttery. Taste wise it was really good though i felt the quantity was less.

Kulfi was so good , it was a perfect ending to a delicious dinner meal.

Overall, 8.5/10 rating. Price was nominal and Quality of the food was good. 😊
Looking for a perfect place to dine out with family, I turned to plates2miles and saw the raving review of Daryaganj from Vaneet Taneja. Since he is a good friend of my father, we called him to take first hand feedback and he went on praising the place.

Luckily we reserved our table and when arrived at restaurant saw people lining up and asking for the table.

Very nicely done place, Daryaganj at Aerocity, took my parents down the memory lane

We ordered a veg platter and I can still have the lingering taste of kurkure Mushroom kebab. Outstanding stuff. Chicken tikka marinated in traditional spices vanished from our plates in no time.

Ordering for main course was no brainer as we had our minds made up when we decided to dine here.

It was Butter Chicken, Dal Makhni and Butter Paneer along with Naan and Tandoori Roti.

I had the first spoon of butter chicken and I was on cloud nine. Perfect tanginess and smokiness will undoubtedly take you to memory lane. 11/10

Dal Makhni has a distinctive taste which will relate you to the your roots. And the best part of the meal was that there was NO heaviness after the dinner.

And yes, Kulfi after the meal is a MUST

Total nostalgic place with the food which will leave a mark on tongue and you will certainly go back for more.

Wonderful experience with delicious authentic food. The 1947 butter chicken and their signature daal makhani were just fantastic. I am so full since I couldn't leave a drop behind! Social distancing protocols were followed meticulously by extremely polite and attentive staff. We also really enjoyed the complimentary kulfis. Thank you for the lovely time!

i was at this restaurant which is located inside Pacific mall.
As the name suggest dariyaganj,The menu was well set with some authentic dishes made with original recipes.

So for the starters i had kasturi chicken tikka mutton. Barra and pomfret tandoori.

All three was superb in taste. The spices were very well balance and meat was nicely cooked. Out of these three. The best one was tandoori pomfret. And that chicken tikka was also good

For the main course i again ordered the authentic dishes.
That is butter chicken and daal makhani.
And this time i can say that the daal makhani was better than the butter chicken. But still the butter chicken did a great job. Spices were good and Chicken pieces were cooked very nicely.

When you enter a place knowing that they are the inventors of The "BUTTER CHICKEN" expectations are bound to rise to another level.
Daryaganj is relatively new chain of North Indian restaurants started by grandson of Mr. Kundal lal Jaggi the man who invented Butter chicken and Dal Makhni, and to be honest after having eaten there I can't thank his grandson enough to get litrelly the best butter chicken on my plate.
A disclaimer for people who have never visited the place you might just fail to get a table in your first attempt.
The Place has been designed to give you the old world charm sinking well with the name. The Menu is well crafted for hardcore North Indian cuisine lovers serving the best of staples from tikkas to kebabs and much more. You are bound to get tempted but here is what I had on my first visit, For Starters it was traditional chicken tikka along with juicy mutton seekh kabab. The tikka beautifully cooked with right amount of smokiness and light marination, but the scene stealer was definitely the mutton seekh kebab, it just melted in my mouth with full of flavours and just the perfect soft and juicy.
Now my expectations grew further and without and tinge of doubt I went ahead to place the order for maincourse and it had to be the age old butter chicken and Dal Makhni. Coming to this, I can now officially say YES they are the inventors of Butter chicken and Dal Makhni, the butter chicken without a doubt is the best I have had by far, neither sweet nor too spicy just the right blend of flavours which you cannot afford to miss and club it with a butter naan or a khasta roti and you will double it's value.
Finish your meal with their signature kulfi, on the whole having their butter chicken is the most satisfying feeling for a food lover so I highly recommend to go and taste this secret to your happiness.

I visited this outlet on 15 march for friends get together ,
I must say it is a perfect place to have Authentic North Indian food.
I tried -
Dal makhani- Their invention, the best in Delhi.

Malai broccoli - Perfectly marinated and juicy.
Overall the ambience and staff was upto the mark.
Five star for such beautiful restaurant.

I recently visited this beautiful place for dinner in Aeorcity,
It has calm and elegant atmosphere.
Eye catchy crockeies and original Butter chicken is the best thing here.
The invented Butter chicken and Dal makhani , i tried both and found them really delicious.
I would love to visit this place again after lockdown.

The best North indian restaurant in NCR, i had a visit to their Aerocitty branch last month and here is my experience -
I had
1. Dahi kebab
2. Paneer tikka
3. Dal makhani.
Everything is perfect and scrumptious👍 interiors are beautiful and quick service.
I would love to visit this place again.

Location - Worldmark 1, Basement Level- Near the Foodcourt area, Aerocity.
Parking- Paid Parking Available
Reservation - Required
Entrance - 5/5
Ambience - 5/5
Food service - 4/5
Food Quality -5/5
Food Quantity -5/5
Presentation - 5/5
Host- 5/5
Ideal For - Everyone
Feedback - DaryaGanj is a blessing in disguise for the true food lovers who love having their food as authentic as it can be. Spearheaded on the lines of preparation of the food from the pre independence era as curated by the ever so fabulous Chef Mr Kundan Lal Jaggi. He hailed from Peshwar & post partition, had been one of the key chef's who set up the oldest Moti Mahal in town which is situated Daryaganj.
Great North Indian cuisine in great atmosphere. But service is below standards.
The menu is beautifully designed with very limited options. The menu is full of classic Indian options.
Kulfi in the desserts is like cherry on the cake.

I felt the place is a bit over hyped! The butter chicken was no doubt really nice but the daal makhani was average! I ordered tandoori gola kebab! They were really good! Do try! The music that was playing was outstanding! Just to straight up the mood! Overall experience was good!

Such an amazing place for a decent lunch. Great food lovely ambience. Their mutton burrah kebab is something you can not afford to miss. Loved the butter chicken and dal makhni and butter naan and the sweet lassi here is top notch. In desserts, their phirni is a must try

Daryaganj is serving the best mutton burrah kebab probably the best I have ever had. The food and the ambience is amazing, loved the experience

Heard so much about Daryaganj at Aerocity and yes its worth the praise it has been getting. The service people are super friendly, welcoming, prompt and knowledgable. They gave us an excellent and memorable experience. We were attended on time with a big smile of our server. The menu is beautifully designed with very limited options. The menu is full of classic Inidan options. We ordered vegetarian kebab platter and an assortment of non vegetarian starters and it was just mind blowing. I still cant forget the flavour of lamb chops😍 it is still on my pallet. Mutton bheja fry and butter chicken is literally to die for. Kulfi in the desserts is like cherry on the cake.

Highly recommended👍🏻

After hearing a lot about Daryaganj from my family i finally decided to pay a visit yesterday. We went there for lunch and was surprised to find it busy as all other restaurants were open just to kill time. We were greeted and seated by a really welcoming host. There was not even a single moment where we felt unattended. The menu was presented and a complete orientation was given by our server. The menu is not so big and has very limited variety of options. The menu also narrates the story of the restaurant and its owner. It is full of many exciting and fun facts. The order takers were really knowledgable and accommodating. All our requests related to the spices, flavours and portion size were accommodated with a big smile.

Coming to the food, we had many dishes but Paneer tikka, kurkure mushroom and Dal makhani is to die for. I really can eat these three things everyday in every meal. In desserts, kulfi is a must try.

I am glad i took the recommendation and now i can happily recommend this place to everyone for any kind of gathering or even for a lunch date😜

I cant wait to visit again.

Daryaganj
As the name itself suggests, a very old n popular place in North India, that is Delhi.
The cuisine here is North Indian , mughlai. Daryaganj has grown to be one of the most popular North Indian food joint in the Capital. They serve scrumptious kebabs (veg- nonveg) and ofcorse their very famous dal makhani and butter chicken, mutton chop , barra lamp chop and tandoori fish or paneer.
In starters, I ordered the very famous, Dahi kebabs that melts in my mouth and yeah they are famous for a reason .
In non veg I ordered fish tikka n mutton , very well presented, melts in your mouth accompanied with green chatni and onion.
I was also nursing thandai , which was optimally sweet in taste and extremely refreshing.
In veg main course, I ordered their famous Dal makhani & paneer makhani which is next level in taste.
In non veg I ordered butter chicken with lachha parantha.
After a very long time I have eaten this authentic level of dal makhani .
In Deserts, I ordered ras malai, totally satisfied my sweet tooth.
I love visiting this place with family to eat authentic North Indian cuisine, and to enjoy the extremely warm hospitality here.
Can’t wait to visit there next.

The Street Stalkers
A restaurant which we had been hearing good words about since very longn as it happens to be the origin of our so called favourite Butter Chicken. From Taste to Ambiance the place is one of the best we have visited for a delicious Indian Cuisine. Also, they have a very soecial story about their Brand which is visualised in the Menu itself and worth reading while we place the order. Started from Sweet Lassi which got us so full as it was so delicious and garnished with nuts. We moved onto the starters with Tandoori Fruit Chaat , Vegetarian platter having Dahi Kebab, Malai Brocolli and Paneer tikka which were served hot and fresh in apt quantity.

Then comes their signature specializations which is the Indian maincourse in which we ordered shahi paneer, Veg Biryani, Daal Keema & Missi roti with Khasta roti. Yummy is the word as the spices and gravy of all of them were perfect. Cooked so well and the chapatis were to drool over. We had mix veg raita also, which was so thick and made up organically and it gave us a lifetime of an experience.

It is a must must visit and we are surely gonna come again to try more. Also, the iceing on the cake is their playlist which are romantic songs of the early 90's which make it a perfect and lovely evening to enjoy.

Daryaganj is one of my favorite place when it comes north indian food, i visited aerocity branch yesterday with my friends and had a good time there.
On Wednesday , still all the seats are occupied , that must be because of there tasty food.
I ordered Thandai , Dal makhani and breads.
I always love their dal makhani , always recommended.
And also in drinks you can try Thandai , it is the specialized drink , very good choice if go for milk base drinks.
Overall a good experience .

Today i had lunch at daryaganj Aerocity. The ambience was so good and beautiful. I had paneer tikka, dahi ke kabab and kurkuri mashroom and all the dishes were so delightful and tasty and specially the mashroom dish was filled with cheese which tasted so good. In main course i had makhani dal which was one of the best i have wver tasted. Last but not the least was the desert in which i had rasmalai, gulab jamun and firni and the best among them was the gulab jamun. The service was also quick and we did not had to wait for long for the food. In total i had a great experience and everyone must try this place.

Daryaganj has been one of my favorite restraunt to visit when I am craving for some good and authentic North Indian and Mughlai food. The place is amazing I really liked the interiors and also the best part is the their staff is very humble and polite. The food served here is really really good and also the quality and quantity of the food is great. I would highly recommend to try out Dal makhani, Butter chicken, Saag meat and last but not the least Amritsari chop.

I went out with my family to try authentic north indian food and had heard alot about this place. I would genuinely rate it as 3 star. The orginal butter chicken was not so good as it had very less spices though made in all butter gravy it lacked the butter chicken flavour. The starters were better than main course. We had ordered dahi k kebab malai chicken tikka, butter chicken n malai kofta for main course.. the quantity was less for the price given.. they can do better with the quantity otherwise one can try it once for it’s name..

Nothing beats the the dal makhani at this place. The food is finger licking.... Must visit if u want to have the dilli wali daal

This place is totally going wrong with the butter chicken now, visited this place 6 months back the food was good but now it was luke totally pathetic esp the butter chicke, it just had no taste, all you could taste was ginger, just no flavors, i fact complained to my server also and all he had to justify was "our recipe is from 1947 and its like that. Very very bad , not visiting again ever.

Taste :
Snacks: 5/5
Mains: 3/5
Ambience 4/5
Service:3/5
Portions:3.5/5

Overall: 3.5

It was one of the much awaited destination that was completed yesterday. Its beautiful laid out restaurant. Going in and out of the sofas was slightly discomforting as table had less leg space.

Coming to starters we had ordered 2 tandoori platter veg and one tandoori fruit chaat. Probably one of the finest starters that I can compare with some notch places. The seasoning, flavours and tastes were all distinctive. Star was the mushroom and paneer tikka. Probably its my best paneer tikka that i have had. Greatly impressed and relished the starters.

Further going ahead with the mains the dal was good; the butter paneer was not that great it was falling short of flavours this needs some work. Then came the moong daal keema something new but apparently had slight burnt/smoky end taste but could be tried.

The lassi was fabulus and probably the best i have had so far. The over all food “quality” was high.

Dislikes:
Yesterdays service was really slow; most of service executives were not even seeing towards the table. Very lethargic guys and this was at a time when restaurant was not half full. Service training is def needed.

Verdict:
Its a very sorted ; simple and old school menu. Slightly disappointed here as I was expecting some great delicacies. The nan needs rework as its very chewy and rubbery. The breads too were slightly undercooked. Needs to def work on bread prep. I had read on the menu we had missi roti in bread platter which was not been given in platter. So the smaller experience that goes bad matters most.

We went their for a family Sunday lunch of 10 people ( 9 adults +1 kid). Good spread of both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. We ordered so much from dahi ke kebabs which were delicious to hara bhara kababs in vegetarian starters. Chicken tikka trio, mutton burrah kabab, tawa fish in non vegetarian. Everything was super delicious, and had authentic flavors and spices. The group loved it.
For main course we ordered dal makhani and butter paneer for veg and dal meat, and chicken curry for non veg. assorted breads were ordered as accompaniments. We ate so much and even had the leftovers packed. Conveniently located, this place gets a thumbs up for the foodies looking for some authentic flavors.

The only suggestion will be, they do not take reservations on Sunday so we had to wait about 40 minutes with the kid to be seated.

I would say it's more of overhyped restaurant - tried their dal makhni and butter chicken which are their signature dishes - would rate them as average, seems to be shadow of what kundan lal gujral used to sell at his daryaganj moti mahal restaurant- disappointed to the core.

Was in aerocity and looking for a place to spend good time with my friends and decided to visit this place. The ambiance of this place is very decent. Coming to food, this place is serving north-indian and mughlai cuisines. Started with starters, we tried their veg platter, Dahi ke kebab and Chicken malai tikka which were damn good in taste. After that we went for their special mains named dal makhani and butter chicken with Some indian breads. If you love north-indian food then this place is definitely a try..

In search for authentic north Indian and Mughlai dishes in Aerocity? Look no more! Just visit Daryaganj for their ambrosian appetizers, mouthwatering mains and delectable desserts. My recommendations would be Sharaabi Raan, Kasturi Chicken Tikka, Mushroom Kurkuri, Paneer Tikka, Phirni, Gulab Jamun and Sweet Lassi.
Three Foodies
One of my friend recommended me this place and few days back i visited this place. This place is having lovely ambiance with prettiest lights. Coming to food, it was served hot and quick too. Started our day with the punjabi sweet lassi. In appetizers, we had murg malai tikka, Tandoori Chicken and Hara bhara kebab. Murg malai tikka is a must try dish from their menu. In the end we had their special kulfi and rasmalai which tasted amazing and it was an perfect end to our meal.

Went to this place and had an amazing food over there.
This is one of the best place for having mughlai and north-indian food. I ordered Tandoori chicken, mutton burrah kebab and Paneer Tikka in starters. Chicken was damn soft. Its a must try item from the menu. In mains, i ordered malai kofta and butter paneer accompanied with stuffed naan. The food we tried was good. I would love to recommend this place to try once.

Went to Daryaganj after seeing the reviews. But it was totally opposite. They are just serving uncooked food (kadhai chicken). The gravy was bland and tasteless. Chicken was undercooked. And they don't have boneless option for butter chicken and chicken curry, which is like a basic thing available in every restaurant.

The waiters are super rude and seems like as if they are doing a favor on us serving the food.

Only the good thing was the mutton seekh for which I am giving 2 stars.

Please avoid this place as there are many better options in the same area.
Payal Dhawan
The food here is absolutely horrendous.Poor food, sub par service & torrid quality control exemplify this restaurant. Please avoid and eat at the adjoining food court !

The look and feel, the uniform of servers and the aroma and taste of the food in this restaurant will definitely transport you to the lanes of Daryaganj.
Ny journey at this restaurant was like:
Started with one of their shorbas. I have personally tried the Mutton Soup or Mutton Paya and their Chicken Soup or Chicken Badami Shorba. I recommend both the soups, they will be what you would expect in an old restaurant in Dilli-2.
I moved on to their veg and non-veg platters. Both the platters contained three items each with 3 portion size for each as well. My favourite from the veg platter was the Stuffed Mushroom and from the non-veg platter was the Kasturi Chicken Tikka.
The sharaabi raan is exquisitely prepared by soaking whole leg of mutton in rum and whole spices for over 24 hours and then roasted until the meat is tender. The meat easily comes off the bones and is served with onions and chutney. This dish can be enjoyed with either indian breads or by itself.
I then move on to their main course selection and ordered their signature Dal Makhani and Butter Chicken, the two dishes that this restaurant claims to be the original xreators of, with Naan and rice. For sure, both these dishes tasted great!
I finished my meal with their desserts. I tried all 4 and liked them all!

If you're looking for a place in Aerocity that is affordable and serves wholesome food, Daryaganj is the place to visit. A complete family place that will be enjoyable for your grandpa till your child.
The mutton paya shorba (soup) was deligthful to begin the meal with, followed by the veg platter and chicken tikka platter. The veg platter had Hara Bhara Tikka, Paneer Tikka and Mushroom Kurkuri, which were all good in taste with 3,3&6 pieces respectively. The paneer and mushroom tikkas were especially delicious. The chicken tikka platter contained a trio each of chicken tikka, malai tikka and kasturi chicken tikka, wherein the last one was especially delicious. Soothing Dahi ke kebab and Tangy Mutton Raan (whole leg of lamb) were also a hits amongst the entire family.
For main course, we ordered for Kadhai Chicken, Kadhai Jhinga, Dal Makhani, Malai Kofta and Butter Chicken and ordered Suz Biryani, Alu Pyaaz Kulcha and Butter Naan on the side. My recommendation would be to try their Kadhai Jhinga and Dal Makhani for sure. The other dishes were also good in taste.
For desserts, they have only 4 options, so we opted for all 4 - Kala Jamun, Kulfi on stick, Rasmalai and Phirni. My favourites were the combo of Kala Jamun with Phirni.
For drinks, we had lemonade and lassi and both satisfied their purpose. I wish they had been serving the masala chai at the moment, it would have been wonderful! But all in all, a great experience!

Daryaganj is a popular restaurant in the worldmark complex in Aerocity. The dining room is small and tight but it makes up in terms of quick attentive service along with decent food. The dal Makhani which is my acid test for a good indian restaurant - was slightly above average but the Naan and roti made up for it.
A solid 3.5/5.
See my other reviews for my absolute favorite restaurant in Aerocity.

BAD SERVICE ! TASTELESS FOOD !

To make my birthday special and after having heard so much About the place we chose to visit Daryaganj for the lunch. Least bothered about attending the guests when you don't even have half a restaurant full, no water was served until we specially called them to do so. Chose the very basic the original dal makhani and butter paneer. Absolutely uncooked paneer gravy and average tasting dal. No salad served om a few tables served on a few as per their mood. Thank Goodness we had cake for us else it was just a really bad experience. Half food left just as it is... things going wrong for the basic dishes makes me.wonder what hospitality standards are we setting with a such brand name !

Yes fancy mishri saunf packing was one cute thing and the interiors are fancy for a location like that. Wish chefs actually work on taste and staff on basic etiquettes.

Winter is about to over...
But the winter vibes is still on.
We a group of friends were tired and looking for a place which is soothing and gives you a comfortable feel after wondering in CP for so long.
We discovered daryaganj Cp by chance. The entrance was so eye capturing that we could not stop ourselves from entering into.
Once we entered we realize this is what we wanted. The music was so mesmerizing and the service was awesome.
We had lunch there.
In veg they have special dal makhni and in non-veg they have butter chicken of their own quality.
We ate paneer tikka in startups. Which was so good in quantity and so juicy plated with bell peppers and capsicum.
Masala coke and aam panna won my heart. It was so beautifully presented which made its taste 100 times good.
In mains, we had dal-makhni and malai kofta with jeera rice and garlic naan...
And these combination just won my heart.
Definitely going to suggest this for date and get together. Because this place fits it all.
See you there.
Diary Of A Delhite
Well i was with my friends and we had already planned to have lunch here, you can reach here through the nearest metro which is Delhi Aerocity. Starting from ambiance it was pretty and attractive. Music was also nice. From the food we had paneer tikka which was amazingly delicious and heavy saueèted with veggies, after that i had chicken tikka trio which consisted of chicken tikka, chicken malai tikka and chicken kasturi tikka assorted with different flavours of spice which was delicious and scrumptious. From the mains we had butter chicken, dal makahni and malai kofta with butter naan which was ultimate and heaven. Last but not the least from the desserts we had kulfi which is famous all over india, and suprisingly they were the best in the dessert. Overall experience was nice and would love to visit here again.

Few days back I visited Daryaganj (cp) and got a chance to visit daryaganj, aerocity. Daryaganj being the best and soothing place for people who love North Indian food, like me. The place has a legacy of bygone era and authenticity of old recipes revived. Ambience is quiet cosy and elegant. We started our lunch with mains and totally loved each and every flavour of dishesh. Another satisfied experience with Daryaganj :)

I have been eating at this place regularly, food is awesome but service standards needed to be improved, please try to pay attention to all customers. I realized that post 3 pm there's a huge difference in services.

Recently visited this place and the ambience and food has their own vibe. A typical fine dine experience with the richness of North Indian cuisine flavours.
Started with Kebabs and tandoori chicken Tikka, both of them were equally satisfying, so juicy and soft.
For curries ofc. Butter chicken and daal makhni was my choice, totally loved what they served. The thick, rich gravy of butter chicken was worth every penny. Ended with gulab jamun for deserts. Definitely visit for a satisfying fine dine experience.

Look no further for North Indian food.
Aerocity has this amazing place where you’ll get the perfect, delightful food!

But be aware, this place is gonna be buzzing doing peak lunch and dinner hours.

Must haves: chicken tikka trio, mutton seekh kebab and rawa fish in starters.

Don’t miss their purani dilli style chaas, aam panna, masala thumbs up and laung elachai mocktails.

Butter chicken and dal makhani are their signature dishes so do order those and try mutton keema ( superb taste) if you are a fan of red meat!

Overall our lunch was 10/10 😊😊😊
Nancy
This was on my list since idk! I so wanted to have their curries as they "from the inventors of butter chicken and daal makhni" and they totally stand on what they say. Firstly, the theme is so classy! A typical fine dine experience with the richness of Indian flavours.
People are so warm and welcoming here, the staff took special care of us that we get the best!
Coming to food now,
For starters we had, Malai chicken, mutton burrah, Veg platter, and tandoori Chaat!
I loved my chicken and mutton starters tbh, the portion size, the juicy chicken was amazing.
For main course,
We switched towards Butter chicken, Daal makhni (obviously) and with that chicken biryani and butter naan.
My love for chicken biryani is endless and they totally satisfied my taste buds. Even my vegetarian friend had it!! XD
Unlike any other butter chicken, there's gravy was way more thick and non creamy and with the richness of tomato and other spices. YOU NEED TO TRY IT.
Ofc, for deserts, phirni and rasmalai just completed the meal!.
Just go, relax, let them serve you, you thank me!

Daryaganj is one of the best North Indian Cuisine Restaurant. The taste, the flavours, the presentation, the innovation of dishes will make your heart float it’s boat. Specially, the music - it is so soulful and soothing there that it exactly matched the vibe of the restaurant.
Must try their Dal Makhni and Butter Chicken and thank me later. Definitely recommending this place. :)

The ambience was great. The service was very fast. The staff was friendly and suggested the dishes ti try. I loved the dahi ke kabab, daal makhni. Jhinga in the starters was superb. We ordered 3 plates of it, it was that good. Dahi ke kebabs were mouth melting and super tender. All in all, i had an awesome experience. Would definitely recommend this place.

If you are looking for continental taste, then go for it!

Mocktails: desi tadka chaas
Kheera shikanji
Laung elachi ( must have)
Masala thumbs up

Main course: keema kaleji - a must try
Butter chicken - first ever not so sweet, chopped onion and tomato gravy chicken with superb taste.
Dal makhani- one should try for the taste of almost ghar wali dal makhani!

Desserts: skip: phirni
Must have : Kulfi & Ras malai!

Overall if you are in Aerocity then this is a great place to eat your lunch/dinner.

You wanna get old Delhi feels in terms of food and ambiance, then this is the place to visit. Daryaganj is a themed restaurant located in aerocity with interiors reminding you of lanes of saadi Dilli. the seating is comfortable and they serve a variety of Indian and mughlai dishes. The service is really great. The dishes tasted absolutely delicious. Really like the mutton seekh, dal makhani, butter chicken. The desserts are also fantastic and must try are phirni and kulfi. It was first time for north indian cuisine in aerocity . The place completely does justice with its name.
The name makes your remember those narrow lanes of old Delhi where you get the best of non veg delicacies.
We had ordered an assorted non veg platter followed with butter chicken , mutton delicacy in main course.
Everything was perfect.
Spices are perfectly blended.
Must visit place for a hefty lunch / dinner.

Visited this place recently at Aerocity and loved their starters. Me and a group of friends chose this place coz we had heard a lot about it. Started with their Soups, the Mutton Paya and Chicken Badami Shorba were both yum. Just wished if they were a little thicker but they were nice.

In starters, don't miss their Tandoori Malaai Jhinga. It's super yum !! And so are their Dahi Kababs ! Total show stealers I swear. Also try their Original Chicken Tikka. It was Very nice.

In desserts I loved their Kulfi and the Rasmalai too. Must try both.

A good place for family dinner and has an old school vibe. Must visit if you need a change of North Indian food flavor.

Aerocity is my Go-to place when it comes to good experiences so I often try new places here. This one was famous coz of it's Old Delhi History so it was a must try place.

We were like four friends out for a bday treat so we began with their signature soups, Mutton Paaya and Chicken Badami Shorba. Both were fine, just too watery, but tasted good.

We then called for a few starters of which Dahi Kababs were mouth melting and a def 10/10. Their signature Chicken Tikka was also nice. But their Malai Jhenga was out of the world. Loved it.

I ordered my favorite Bailey's Irish Cream and others ordered their usual drinks on the rocks, which were nice and decently served.

The music was all based of Bollywood Retro Covers so it was nice. Basically this place is good for family dinners. We only tried their starters majorly and loved them. So next time take your family out to this place for a warm evening.

With great ambiance, perfct lighting, amazing hospitality and service and above all the food.

Loved everything here... paneer butter masala is a must and so was cheese grilled mushrooms.

Xoxo

I recently went to this beautiful place with a friend of mine who insisted me so much to join her for lunch here because she madly loves this place and the food here so she wanted me to try this place out. We went here a few days back and honestly the place is beautiful as soon as you enter you will feel the positivity around and some old songs playing in the background. We took our seats and the staff served us water and took our order, we ordered so many dishes but the dishes I loved was paneer butter masala, Dal makhani, butter chicken and also how can I forget the delicious kulfi. I am really happy with the services and the food, staff here is very polite and helpfull.

Daryaganj Restaurant is located at Worldmark 1, aerocity.
Place has ample sitting but is usually full.
Got greeted with a smile by the manager at the front desk.
He made sure to get the table as soon it got available.
Daryaganj was recommened by a friend for it's tasty north indian food.

For starters, we ordered The Original Chicken Pakora, which was very tasty and juicy.
It's fried chicken but you won't feel the oil on the outer layer.
We also ordered Chicken Tikka Trio which has three kinds of chicken tikka, The Original Chicken Tikka, Chicken Malai Tikka
& Kasturi Chicken Tikka. All three have absolutely different tastes and a very good option for trying out all
the tikka's available. Our favourite was Kasturi Tikka, which we also ordered separately. Pieces were soft and tasty.

For Mains, we ordered The Original Butter Chicken which is their speciality. It's gravy is thick and tasty.
They have their own recipe, as it's taste was quite distinctive and we really enjoyed it
We also ordered Daryaganj Style Mutton Curry, pieces were small, soft and chewy.
Ordered Tandoori Roti along with the mains and requested the restaurant to keep it crispy, which they did for sure.

For desserts, we ordered Gulab Jamun. Two pieces are served in one plate. Was really delicious.

Would definitely visit again soon for it's good quality and quantity food.

Recently dined in at Daryaganj Restaurant, Aerocity
As their tag lines says, from the inventors of butter chicken and dal makhni,
they surely serve the best butter chicken and dal makhni.
Staff was really polite and courtious. Place is usually full and has waiting time,
but it's surely worth the wait.
We started with with shorba (soup) - Tamatar adrak ka rassa, it was really delicous and had small crisp mathri in it. It tasted really fresh and yummy.
For starters, we ordered The Original Tandoori Chicken.
It was very tasty, pieces were small which was the good part, and it was very juicy and white from inside.
We also ordered Tandoori Fruit Chaat, it had tandoored Apple, green apple and pineapple. After tandoored, it was mixed with tangy masala and served.
From the mains, it had to be The Original Butter Chicken, ordered with Garlic naan. It is different which we normally get at other places, but this one is really amazing.
They surely are the originators of butter chicken, and this taste is unbeatable.
Had a really nice experience. Highly recommended.

Food is highly overrated. We ordered mutton seekh kabab, burra, and chicken curry. I didn’t like any of it. Further they don’t serve and cocktails.

I had such a great time at this place. The interior was admirable and Ambience was a cherry on top. The staff was cooperative. The food was very flavorful. The menu was full with North Indian cuisine both veg and non-veg. We started with tandoori platter which had dahi kebabs, creamy broccoli and panner served with mint chutney. I liked dahi kebabs the most ; crispy from outside and creamy from inside. Broccoli and panner was fine. For drinks i ordered Mattha and mocktail ; laung-elaichi. Mattha was very delicious and was served with mint leaves on top. For main course I ordered dal makhani , panner butter masala with lachha prantha and panner kulcha. Both dal makhani and panner butter masala was licious. Breads were also properly cooked. At last for dessert I ordered gulab jamuns and rasmali . Gulab jamun was so tasty that they were irresistible. Rasmali was also good and had refreshing taste. Overall , I had a great time and would love to visit again.

Spent such a good time with my friend at this place. The ambience had Indian touch and they were playing all the soothing songs of 70s. The staff was very courteous.

They had a menu full of Indian cuisines both veg and non-veg. We first ordered drinks- Mattha and laung-elaichi mocktail. The Mattha was very tasty with lots of mixed spices and curry leaf on top. Mocktail had a very unique flavour. For main course, we ordered Dal makhani, paneer butter masala with lachha prantha and paneer kulcha. Both the items were tasty and properly made. Breads were also good.

After this we ordered gulab jamun and rasmali for the dessert. Gulab jamuns were served sizzling hot and they were very tasty.
