Review Zawadah - New Delhi

Milan Dutta
Surely one of the best Middle-eastern food joints in town. The food is amazingly delicious: simply love their shawarmas and shish tawooq chicken. A must-try one!
Adityam Dutta
One of the best Middle Eastern food joint that I have experienced so far. Had ordered Shawarma combos that came with fries and dips. Had a great time enjoying the food there. Simplistic use of spices and well cooked. Would love to visit again.

Today I visited at this restaurant with my friends and I have ordered Hummus with mutton,Hungrill chicken mill and Hungrill mutton halftime from Zawadah I like the portion of food and most important The taste of food was awesome. Their service was quite fast. All of my friends really like the food very much Sometimes it is quite good to try other options rather than big brands. You will realize the difference in taste. I really liked there service and friendly behaviour of staf and i would like to recommend all of you.

Their sauce brought back fond memories of 'Beirut Star' in Glasgow! I found this little stall on Google Maps and thought I'd give it a try. The owner is from Jordan and was a very nice guy and so was the muscular guy at the front. The chicken shawarma was pretty good, didn't have the oomph factor which I thought it would. But it was definitely better than the ones we have in my home country. The drink they served in the combo was also quite refreshing. The price was a bit steep considering the taste and the seating arrangement. But I wouldn't complain since I had the authentic Middle Eastern taste of food after so many years! And their food is halal too!

Tried their food through home delivery. Food taste : Ok , Presentation : Average , Authentic Arabic: Not sure. Potato fingers were really sad, small counted pieces. The portion size was : GOOD. Little bit pricy.

One of the best places to try some Arabic flavors in New Delhi ❣️ Zawadah is situated in Adchini market, near IIT Delhi. In spite of the chaos on the main road, it had a very calm and soothing ambience. They had a long menu consisting of Platters, Wraps and some amazing drinks. We ordered a Falafal Platter with a Paneer Wrap with a few drinks. Falafal Platter: It was veryyy delicious, really loved it. The flavors were new and yummy and the platter was fulfilling for two people. This one is a must try 🔥 Paneer Wrap: Again, the flavors were new and amazing. The filling was too good and the wrap was satisfying for two people. The wrap is served with a Drink and some Fries. Drinks: Nana - This special drink is made from mint leaves and lemon and it was very veryy refreshing. Really loves this one ❤️ This place is a bit expensive but trust us, the food is worth it all. Note that they do not have a seating area but you can stand and eat or get a take away done. Do follow us on Instagram at @thefoodninjaa for more 😚

We recently visited this place and had an amazing experience here. We had the falafel wrap which was super delicious. The falafel balls were really crunchy and delicious. We had their special ginger drink which was really good.

A newly opened small food joint offering Arab cuisine, this is a must visit place located outside the Select City Mall on the ground floor. Tried Shish Tawook Chicken...It was good and the food portion was pretty good. Had hummus instead of mayonnaise; it didn't taste bitter as in other places .. Do try !
Dipankar Barman
Authentic taste of Arab... the hummus and pita breads are as authentic as having it in any gulf countries. They kept the signature lemon and mint juice as well.. liked the falafel also....
Shokin Asaoti
Well the portion was very small. Taste average. I was served with a bloody chicken so requested the staff to wash it properly. I didn't have a good experience due to that.

Being a Mediterranean restaurant, ordered chicken shwarma.
Taste- not upto the mark
Chicken- was very dry
This dish which is for Rs 350 being so expensive, is not at all worth it.
I was expecting a good taste.
Very disappointed..

Have you heard of Arabic coffee?

Arab cuisine is available at Zawadah in South Delhi.

It was to my surprise that owner himself served this Arabic Coffee with cute smile on the face. He told me the history behind this Arabic Coffee. It is full of energy and nice fragrance I had some Falafel with this. They were crispy and so yummm

Last week I had gone to Adhchini for some work. I was so hungry but my stomach was upset. But when I saw this small, neat and clean place. I thought of having something from here.
I met the owner there. He was so friendly and he prepares the dishes at his own. He told me to try their Greek salad. When I saw the salad. It was so full of so many different healthy things which were so fresh. I had that and felt light and happy after that.

Heard of Zawadah from my south Delhi friend, who lives nearby this place.

He took me here and we took 2 chicken wraps. The dip was so fantastic. Chicken was full in the wrap and everything was so fresh.

Overall experience was awesome as it was full of chicken so the name was correct 😊

While going to khel gaon, i crossed Adhchini market and saw a shiny different name restaurant called Zawadah.

When I entered the place. I liked it. I think they have recently renovated it.

I tried Quzi. It was made up of rice and very yummy pieces of mutton. It was very simple and tasty in flavours.

If you want to see the magic of space management and good quality of Labanese food so Zawadah is the destination.
Decoration is of golden colour. When the transparent glass is kept on the golden table, it looks so beautiful. You will enjoy your food in this lovely atmosphere.

You must have heard of Tequila shots but today i tried Arabic coffee at Zawadah, located at Adhchini.

Served with style and served by handsome smiling owner of the restaurant - Mr. Mohd.

It was totally an awesome experience. The coffee pot and the cup used for serving was of brass and beautifully designed.

Aromatic Arabic coffee served in the beautiful Arabic style.

Must try for the strong coffee lovers

I am sitting here with my familyat Zawadah, literally an oasis of Arabic food. The owner is an amazing person and ready to help with what to try. I tried falafel with humus and babaganush. Falafel was well cooked and soft. Tried babaganush for the first time and was beyong my expectations. It is a type of a sauce and was something different. Must try.
The Sizzle Saga
It is a cute small outlet to sit with friends.

When i went earlier, there was no sitting so i did not try anything but recently i came to know that they have arranged some sitting also.

I went there with my friend. I loved the concept and smiling staff. I ordered Falafel wrap. They served it with chips and a complementary beverage. It was amazing.

While passing through I saw this Zawadah - Arabic cuisine. I tried their Greek Salad first. It was so soooooo fresh. Full of cheese, olives, cucumber, lettuce, green, yellow and red bell peppers and so on.

I am a tea and coffee lover also. I tried Arabic coffee. If you love strong black coffee so this is just for u.

I tried cinnamon tea after that as i had some cold also. It was so aromatic. I loved it and the golden ambiance made the atmosphere so special.

In small place they had made best out of it. Recommended 🥰
Ankita Nanda
The hummus was tasteless and the pita breads were so hard that it was so difficult to even chew them.
And that’s the worst fattoush salad I ever ate. A typical fattoush would have pomegranate, mint leaves, fresh lettuce. All of them were missing in it. And the lettuce didn’t seem fresh at all. Claiming to be an Arabic restaurant and delivering the worst of Lebanese I’ve ever had was a shock. Must improve the standards.
Satya Vadlamani
The owner was a friendly and polite guy. Tried the hummus platter and turkish coffee. The hummus was thick and creamy with a hint of lemon and sesame. The pita bread was soft and fluffy. The salad was fresh. This quality for the price is great I feel. Can't wait to try their salads and wraps next time. Would definitely recommend to everyone! 😍👍

I recently returned from the Middle East, and was hoping to have the same authentic hummus, pita and falafel. I chanced upon this small place in Adchini and spoke to the owner, who I came to know is from Jordan. He was so polite and friendly and offered us some amazing Turkish coffee. But it is the hummus that he made that sent me back to great food memories. Now, I don't need to take my friends to the Middle East for authentic falafel, and hummus and salads. I will bring them to Zawadah, which appropriately means Tiffin in Arabic.

Read the reviews which were superlative and hence had very high expectations but to be honest was let down. Before the review some disclaimers, we were really hungry which usually leads to food taste upgrade, surprisingly didn't. The place is more of a takeaway although they have now created seating which is not bad though a little cramped. Also, we are vegetarians so maybe we didn't even have what they are very good at but the hummus and Pita, which is very basic Arab food and one can't go wrong with left a lot to be desired. The salad was decent but then there isn't much to it really. Must say they Zanzabeel and Nana are a MUST TRy and very refreshing. The service and hospitality was good but then we were they only ones there. Also, must mention that we were handed a box of 4 Maamouls which were quite delicious and also enjoyed by the kids, surprising as usually it's tough for kids to like anything healthy (assuming so as the filling was dates).
As I said, either we landed on a bad day or we didn't have the stuff they are really good at or maybe they aren't really that good because f you are rated 4.8 then I guess you need to be a lot more consistent and across the menu.
Hoping for a better experience next time, if there is one!

Portion size is not that great for the price you pay.. better options available the pita bread/kaboos was not great and very elasticy

This place is near my office and one of the days I was craving for some hummus and pita bread around breakfast.

Hummus is a chickpeas blend which is both tasty creamy and healthy. I decided to order it and check out how this place was.

The food was actually quite decent and filling, with the prices being decent I would say this outlet was overall good.

Can't wait to try some of their non vegetarian items soon.

Ordered a falafel wrap and hummus platter. Both made for a fresh and tasty meal. The hummus was silky and seemed authentic. Enjoyed the falafel too. Nice to see a different cuisine option in adchini..
Chef Randhir Tiwari
Ordered food from this place, the impression of the brand and menu is very authentic Arabic food. Packing was really nice and tight but the food i would say not that Arabic and just ok for example giving those counted fingers of potatoes that too with some colour is not Arabic and illogical to put in Big Hard box with such a small quantity I mean it's better not to give it or give Lebanese pickles rather than sad fries. The felafal roll was really jumbo, tasted ok. Now hummus Sauce is common everywhere so their one is also good to try.
Ashish Kalra
One of the tastiest Arabic Chicken Wrap you can have in the city, now my favorite place to order Arabic wraps/shawarma in town, wrapped in kuboos type Arabian pita bread makes it a very authentic Arabic wrap, on top of this they also send free beverage along with the wrap.

Delhi the national capital is likewise the national nourishment capital for different tastes far and wide. We requested a chicken wrap and cheddar borek and was shocked when the nourishment landed as the amount was an abundant excess, all that could possibly be needed for 3 individuals , likewise they send fries and drink with wraps which is actually nice.Totally adored the feasting background.

I would give this place a 2.5, ordered the veg labaneh platter for the second time. The first time experience was still decent. The second time order was to the day the least below average.

The platter is worth 350 plus taxes, and comes with one pita bread (size is ok), a portion of salad that is only chopped tomatoes, cucumber and some onions (not worth it- one can make this at home), one portion of the yoghurt dip- this was tasteless, with no olive oil or flavour in it and some fried - the quantity (10-15 fries max) was so poor for the price that it’s ridiculous .
Won’t be ordering from here, not worth the money.

Horrible experience ordering online from Zawadah. To begin with, the order came in 40 mins late, after much shouting between the delivery executive and the restaurant - that I had to witness without asking to.

Then the food itself- The veg zawadah platter (which is priced at a hefty 900) was missing baba ganoush, which is 1 of the 2 main items in the dish! The hummus had no salt. Plus the whole platter comes with ONE pita bread. I had asked for extra pita, but that was not provided. I was billed the entire amount.

It's a good thing I had ordered an additional hummus platter and labneh platter only to have 3 pita breads. The description of these dishes promises "chips" among other things, but there were no chips to be found.

After receiving the order and noticing the missing items, I called the restaurant back but they did not receive my call.

Abysmal service, shitty food. I really enjoy hummus and baba ganoush and I was excited to try a renowned name's recipes, but I am disappointed. Bad bad bad experience.

Can a restaurant deliver quality, quantity, and taste all together as a takeaway/delivery joint? Yes, they can.

Zawadah is that restaurant.

I'd been following the reviews for a while and the place seemed too good to be true. To wrap the weekend, I got myself a Non Veg Falafel Platter and a Chicken Wrap. Both the items were delivered and how!

The platter came with hummus and chicken pieces mixed, with a salad on the side to go with Falafel, French Fries and Pita Bread. The hummus was fresh, the texture was to die for! The salad was refreshing and went well with the pita and hummus. The star of the platter- Falafel itself was delicious! It was wholesome and fresh.

The chicken wrap was gigantic! One portion is enough for two. I wish I'd taken the reviews seriously. The quantity packed in the wrap is insanely good. I am yet to wrap my head around the ratio of chicken to bread (4:1). There was cursory salad, fries on the side (yay) and a complimentary Ginger drink, which came in a cute disposable bottle.

The entire order was packed like my mother packs my Tiffin for work, ie with utmost care. Complete with mouth freshner, tissue paper, disposable fork etc. The packaging itself was sturdy and worth the value.

Is it expensive at 800 something for two items on delivery? Not at this quality, quantity, and taste. Anything less than this wouldn't fly. Thankfully, Zawadah knows what they're doing. Here's hoping they continue doing this and doing this right.

Wraps and rolls always excite us. It was not the first time that we ordered the same. Delhi the national capital is also the national food capital for various tastes around the globe. This time we tried an Arab taste of wraps famous in Adchini village. We ordered Paneer and Potato wraps with some potato fries and obviously a standard Mojito. The takeaway wrapping was amazing and the mojito served in small bottles was reusable. The wraps gave us the essence of Arabic culture and were quite delicious. Mojito gave us a big relief in the summer stroke. Ambience was standing but still a must try over the dips they serve with the wraps.

Zawadah is an amazing place to have Labanese food. I definitely loved it.
It’s very healthy.
I loved the paneer wrap. It was just amazing 🙈😍

So I was looking for a quick bite & found this pretty outlet on zomato & ordered a chicken wrap & cheese borek & I was surprised when the food arrived as the quantity was way too much, more than enough for 3 people , also they send fries & drink with wraps which is really nice. Its a bit higher on the price segment but again taste can't be comprise with price. Totally loved the dining experience

Yesterday tryed the food from zawadah the shop is located right in main road. have ordered falafal wrap and paneer wrap.Full marks to packing when I received the roll it is fully packed in agoodie bag type packaging which includes my big portion roll off course 1 roll is enough for one person the portion is generous enogh.like the way they have given fries separate in a cute little box and a lemonade drink along.

Coming to food the rolls were great and healthy.falafal roll countains hummus with vegetables and of course falafal great combination pita bread was soft and fluffy.

The paneer roll was also taste great both rolls were a healthy options will definitely going to have food from this place in future.great going guys.

Located near hauz khas metro station we have ordered chicken wrap and paneer wrap from here and i can surely say it was overloaded with the stuff . The best part was they had not used oil in making the outer cover of your wrap . Lime water was nice and they delivered on time as well . Overall great experience.

I had never tried potato wrap earlier but wanted to try this commonly used potato in a wrap.

The potato wrap was full of potatoes obviously with fresh vegggies and I think was filled with hummus and some herbs.

It was lovely having this potato wrap. It was served with chips and a drink, which was complementary.

I visited at ZAWADAH today at Malviya Nagar I ordered Paneer wrap and they serve Dip, Drinks and Chips with it.

The wrap was piquant and delicious.
I loved their stuffing with Onion, Capsicum and with full of Paneer.

Hey..!! Ordered the non-veg hummus platter and was dissatisfied and disappointed... The hummus tasted stale, the salad had bitter cucumbers.. My mistake that I didn't order from Lebanese point/ döner grill. Atleast they don't f*** their customers over like this....

If you love lebanese food and looking out for options, then this is a place. I just love lebanese and tried out first time. I totally drool over their food.

I did takeaway for hummus and pita bread. Both were tasty and their setup was amazing.

My colleague recommend this outlet to me so I tried it today. I ordered paneer wrap and chicken wrap for my brother and me. We got our food delivered on time. The packing and presentation of the food was amazing. The stuffing of paneer in paneer wraps was good and delicious. Chicken used in chicken wrap s also fresh and tasty. Guys you should try theirs wraps.

Zawqdwh, a small outlet in the main market of Adchini got me attracted because of its Arabic name.

When I entered the kitchen, I came to know they serve Labnese food.

It was so neat and clean too. So I checked the menu and liked to order Fattoush from the Salad section.

It was made up of fresh cucumber, tomato, mint and some aromatic herbs which made the salad too tempting.

Their packing was also so nice
Sanjeev Kumar
Labnese food is so simple and healthier, I guess. While passing through Adchini market today, I saw this outlet called Zawadah.

I took Taztiki salad. It was a blend of fresh cucumbers and curd mixed with exotic herbs, olive oil and mint
which leaves a refreshing feeling on your taste buds.

It is a must have during the hot summer especially if one is looking for something healthy as well as delicious!

I took a delivery from Zawadah last week.

I don't have much idea about labnese food

But when I took Greek maamoul salad from Zawadah, I came to know that Labnese food is not very spicy.

It was so fresh and healthy and I liked it to the core of my heart.

I also ordered maamoul. It was sweet in taste and full of dry fruits which were in the paste form

I had a craving for Lebanese food and decided to try Zawadh. It was one of the worst experiences with food. We ordered

Chicken Wrap - The chicken was dry and the wrap was tasteless

Non Veg Cheese Borek - This was not a borek, they were cigar rolls with hardly any filling

Overall Verdict - The dishes were sent in a brown paper bag and had a weird smell. Easily avoidable

When you pay 1800/- bucks for 3 rolls and a mezze platter from a 4.4 Zomato rated restaurant, you expect some standard to the food and some basic attention to packaging. The food arrived wrapped in aluminium foil in 4 white polythene bags looking like something you’d pick up from the local street side stall you paid 400 bucks for.

Ordered falafel wraps, paneer wrap and an Arabic mezze platter. The food itself was drastically overpriced and disappointing - the only saving grace being the hummus. The pita was way too thick and chewy, the drink (some ginger ale type sorry tasting thing) was below average and the babaganoush was a joke.

Highly disappointed and very angry.

Paromita Patranobish
I had high expectations of this place having read all the positive reviews. Sadly, the food was a disappointment. I ordered a veg hummus platter. I am a huge fan of Lebanese cuisine and know a good freshly made pita bread when I see one, and the lone pita bread I was delivered was soggy, leathery and after some time turned inedible. The hummus was decent but a little dry, the salad was alright. The fries were the biggest disappointment, they were cold and limp and packed hurriedly in an unsealed paper bag. I am still wondering about the good hygiene rating this place has received. The entire meal was packed in a plastic bag (not boxed, just tied up in a plastic bag) that didn't even look clean. For a place that charges 350 plus taxes for simple pita and hummus the least one can expect is good packaging. If I want my food wrapped in a plastic bag I can go to a local kiosk. Sorry to say, but this was a bad experience, and not worth the price.

(See update below) Highly disappointed from this experience. Ordered the falafel platter non veg and there was no falafel! Either they forgot the falafel or they are falsely advertising. Taste of chicken and hummus were fine but felt the portion size was small for ₹500. Because of the experience not sure I would try again.

Additionally I tried calling and boy on the phone was very rude and was not willing to fix the order.

Update:

Owner called back to replace the missing items. Appreciate him doing this. I would rate food 4/5 it was very tasty and authentic. However I am rating service 2/5. Even after offering to replace missing items it took 2 hours to reach me.

As i order all things near about 1am and at the night they also give very quick responsive service. The place is also very pocket friendly.

Hummus - it is an Arabic dish, with main ingredient as chickpeas.

Hummus........I tried it earlier also but I loved the Hummus of this restaurant, Zawadah's.

Proper blend and aroma of chickpeas and garlicky too.

It was offered with a pita bread.

Definitely worth trying this. By the moment, I saw Zawadah board, the Arabian stories came into my mind as this is an oasis of Arab😁

I entered into the outlet and asked someone to pl help me in choosing something sweet.

The person, named Mr. Mohd. Who was standing there he was very nice and helped me in choosing Mahalabia, made up of milk, according to my preference.

I loved the Mahalabia very much and Mr. Mohd. gesture too😊

My friend who is fond of tasting new foods, tried one new takeaway outlet on the main road of Adchini.

The kitchen was a Labnese kitchen, named Zawadah.

He ordered Non veg hummus platter base and chicken chunks on it

It was delivered along with Arabic salad
and Pita Bread. It's pita bread was soooooo soft and yummiest.

I don't have much idea about Labnese food but I loved it too much.

Zawadah is a great compact spot for anyone who wants to try authentic mediterranean cuisines and this place excels in cleanliness . They have a wide and great variety of platters and wraps to choose from i ordered paneer wrap which was nice
.
for drinks i got myself their nana and mojito . I personally loved the NANA drink which basically was fresh mint with lemon juice but was absolutely refreshing. Overall a must try place. !

Very disappointed with my order. None of the three platters we had were above average. Didn’t send the right items— sent 2 musabha instead of 1 moutabbal + 1 musabha. To make it worse the chickpeas were highly undercooked. In the hummus platter, the chicken pieces were dry and had no flavour. Maybe the cook had a bad day in office!

I just loved the Wrap 😍😍😍😍

Zawadah situated near my house serves amazing Mediterranean and Lebanese food. I ordered Non veg Falafel platter with Mojito. Platter consisted of Falafel, Hummus with chunks of chicken, Freshly chopped onions and tomatoes and fries. Falafel tasted very good especially with hummus. Hummus was fresh, cold and yummy. All together made an amazing platter. Mojito was no regular mojito you get at other restaurants. It was fresh and herbal mojito. It tasted like I'm drinking detox. It was organic and really good. I liked their way of serving a herbal mojito. Overall amazing food experience.

Amazing food and hospitality ! Surely the go to for middle-eastern food .
You might prefer takeaway or home delivery as there is no seating - there are 1 or 2 small tables to stand and eat , if you have to.

Hummus, a Levantine and Syrian dip made from mashed chickpeas, is one of my favorite item in Middle Eastern cuisine and thus I regularly order this from different places.

Recently tried this new place in Adchini, South Delhi called Zawadah. The food was delivered on time. It was delivered warm.

We had ordered their Chicken Wrap and Veg Hummus Platter. The size of the chicken wrap was very generous and was very delicious.

The Veg Platter had hummus, pita bread, salad and ginger ale.

Try this place for some genuine middle eastern food.

In my opinion the food here is fresh, wholesome, rich , healthy and aromatic. This place has taken the middle eastern cuisine to a whole new level with introduction to such dishes which you will not get anywhere else in Delhi. The absolute must haves of the place are:-
Pita bread:- Fresh baked on orders , very soft and delicate, goes well with hummus and salads. This is one special secret recipe of the chef.
Hummus:- found this absolutely mouth watering and very light on the stomach. This combination is a must have.
Ozul non veg rice preparation full of fried chicken and rich fried nuts for the perfect aroma.
Chicken sharma:-perfect portions , neatly wrapped in a foil for a easy hold and the goodness inside remains piping hot.
Greek salad with feta cheese:- This is the freshest salad I have ever seen in my life. They use the most exotic leaves and the vegetables looked very fresh as if it were in the farms. The combination with feta cheese was wonderful , giving it a perfect tanginess.
Nana drink:- Perfect drink to appetize your stomach, fresh lemons and mints give a very refreshing taste.
Maamoul :- Not to be missed, if you go to this outlet ask for maamoul which is a pastry filled with goodness of dates, walnuts , almonds and figs on the inside.
The best thing about this place is it's extremely pocket friendly and the food is cooked with extreme passion and eye for detail catering to all.

I had a take away from this restaurant. I had pitta bread, falafel, Greek salad, baba gahnoush, hummus, chicken wrap, ouzi, mojito, zanjabeel, mammul.

Pitta Bread was soft, milky, juicy and very smooth. It was very light and easy to digest.

Ouzi was full of big chunks of chicken and dry fruits. The chicken used was of good quality, the rice were aromatic and very light.

Mojito was full of mint, lemon, soda and sweet. It was extremely refreshing as it had a very punching taste of soda.

Falafel was crispy and spicy and a extremely tasty snack.

Zanjabeel was another very unique taste. It was a blend of tangy lemon, ginger and sugar. The drink was extremely good as ginger and lemon left a lingering taste and refreshed me altogether.

Greek Salad was awesome as host of salad veggies were used with combination of big chunks of paneer cubes. The salad was crunchy and paneer chunks were giving a smooth taste to the salad.

Baba gahnoush was blend of egg plant and lot of veggies and herbs grind together with pomegranate seed on top. It was entirely a new taste to my taste buds which I really enjoyed.

Chicken Wrap was also prepared nicely with big chunks of chicken with spices, veggies and sauces. Chicken was juicy, soft and satiating.

Mammul is a dessert and Cookie of fine floor sprinkled with sugar powder on top. It is stuffed with lots of dry fruits. It is extremely tasty and stuffy dessert.

This restaurant worth a try.
