The age old restaurant which started as a small Dhabha or the village eating joint popular among the highways of North India is now a landmark food destination. The menu is strictly vegetarian serving from traditional Indian dishes to some of the so called popular Chinese food. Originally serving dal Makhani, the black lentil dish cooked with tomatoes and butter and Shashi paneer, the cheese dish of the Mughal empire now has an elaborate menu to satisfy the food urge of the foody North Indian. The restaurant also has starters cooked in tandoor. Chinese menu is elaborate too serving from the noodles to honey potatoes. Overall one can find the food of his choice here. Situated right in the middle of market parking is a bit tedious to find. Saturday and Sundays are risky as the customer numbers are very high so take time to c come and saviour the taste. Must try out are Makki ki roti and Sarson ka saag in Winters.

I'd give him - ve stars if possible, we gave an order at 8:45 pm for delivery, its 10:15 pm right now, i went there and asked where is my order, he said its out for delivery. I haven't got my order, the restaurant is not picking up my call. Worst restaurant ever. I had heard alot about this restaurant before. I had often seen their icon in the top few listings whenever someone logs onto Food Panda in this area to order food as well. <br/><br/>They are located just behind Chitrakut which is also a very famous brand and a stiff competitor of theirs in Shalimar Bagh. <br/><br/>I thought that it was worth a try. I had a chilli baycorn and a thali here. The ambiance was quite good. The food was extremely delicious. In the thali they had Raita, Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhani. Pulao and Butter Naan. The butter naan was a bit thick and could have been made slightly thinner and softer. <br/><br/>There is also a big TV in the hallway and everyone was enjoying the food with the IPL being telecasted simultaneously. <br/><br/>On a whole it was a very nice experience and the owner and the staff of the restaurant were also very humble and did great service. Certainly, worth a visit.

Fine it's not a place where you can see a very hype ambience with dim lights and everything you look in an expensive cafes and restaurants these days. But the food is awesome, and I mean it. I have been dining there for approximately 6 years, we had a party too. No complaints for services. It is so reasonable, you can eat till your appetite screams out loud to stop!!! Snacks are delicious Spring Rolls & Paneer Tikka can trigger your tounge at first, further you can go for Malai Kofta & Kadhai Paneer with breads of your choice, I prefer tandoori butter roti to go with.

A fairly decent place to celebrate small occasions in the family or for small get togethers over an inexpensive family meal. Warm staff and the aunty who sits at the counter is quite homely and takes care of your needs and gestures the staff to attend.. It was a celebration of demonetisation. Searching for ATMs with money, late in the night. Another pocket friendly restaurant just adjacent to chitrakut.<br/>For me preference will be to this restaurant.<br/>Nice ambience n good food in quality n quantity both. They also have a segregated area if u want to make a get together or celebration.

I live nearby this place, and have frequently food delivered to my home. <br/>I have seen this place grow, they now have a well managed sitting and consistent quality food.<br/>Best treats if u ever visit here are:<br/>Dal makhni (the best)<br/>Masala gobhi ( m a big fan )<br/>Shahi paneer<br/>Spring rolls<br/>Veg chowmein<br/>French fries are diff( must try)<br/>Rest assured this is the best place in shalimar bagh for mughlai cuisine. <br/>

I go there on family dinners. They have better ambience than surrounding restaurant, the staff is also friendly. Coming to the food, they serve simple north indian food at satisfactory prices. Nothing fancy about food. Those who want to fill in their stomach with tasty dal makhni, paneer dishes and naan.

Good environment! Nice decent indian food... The breads were perfectly tandoored and nicely made... My personal favourite was mix vegetable.. A very nice place to visit for the localite for a day 'off' from domestic cooking !

I have been eating frm dis place for d past few years nw nd let me be honest its an average Resturant which will keep ur pocket happy ;) evn ur tummy. Red gravy dishes can be tried bt the quality of breads is wt i dnt like i am they use only white flour (Maida) to make them nd it tastes like a flubber or a chewing gum.
