My most visited outlet in Gurgaon. Simply in love with their authentic hyderabadi food. Especially their Biryani,. I haven't tried many things from their menu but here's what I have tried, BIRYANI 1. Chicken Boneless Biryani 2. Mutton Winner After trying both of them I think I will prefer chicken boneless biryani over the other. I haven't tried anything like this before. ROLLS 1. Chatpata Aloo 65 2. Chicken 65 Tikka Kebab Both of them are equally good but because I am a non-vegetarian I will go with the second one. Heard a lot about their Kormas. Will probably try them the next time. #Follow me on INSTAGRAM for some amazing Food/Travel Blogs (ID:- Foodiee_Biker)

I am a big fan of Biryani and had heard alot about this place.
I ordered Biryani - top-notch, super tasty and full of flavours, Bhuna Chicken - perfectly cooked in tandoor, nicely marinated and juicy, Dum ka Mutton Korma - very moist and soft mutton full of flavours along with Rumali Roti and some Kheer.
Its an amazing place for scrumptious Hyderabadi Biryani both veg and non veg. The food was delicious and kheer was perfect.

The delivery was before time and the packing was also good..

All in all, it's a must try place and what they offer at this price is simply unbeatable!

I was on a business trip in Gurugram. I ordered my dinner from here in a Airbnb house, where I was staying. I am a huge fan of Biryanis and Kormas and I heard a lot about it. Had to try it once. Wasn't expecting much because the fact they offer less options. Was somewhat happy that the pricing was reasonable. I have seen outlets charging way to much.
I ordered their Chicken Boneless Biryani and Dum ka Mutton Korma along with Rumali Roti.
They made a good first impression because the good was well packed. Usually outlet tends to neglect this part.
The taste was simply amazing. I usually prefer Korma over Biryani but this time it was opposite. Probably the best I have tried so far.
Even more happy about the quantity they offer. Totally Justified the price.
The Food Dynasty
I was scrolling through zomato and I discovered this outlet. This place was near my locality so I ordered their biryani but wasn't expecting much because of the negative reviews.
Food arrived and was happy to see the packaging. It was done nicely. Extra cookie points for this.
I always prefer mutton biryani over chicken biryani but the chicken one seemed to be the more popular among other reviewers offered by this outlet so I went for it.
I was happy about my decision right after I took the first bite. The taste was surely the best and the chicken looked fresh. Also happy about the quantity.
Also had their Kheer. It was good as well.
Overall a 5 out of 5.

We Went here for dinner. I Wasn't sure if it was suitable in the beginning as the reviews were mixed.
We still visited as we were in the mood for a biryani. The place was somewhat quiet, which made it perfect for the two of us.
One of my friends had already visited here once. So on her recommendations we decided to order their chicken boneless biryani.
The order came and it looked delicious. The aroma was good and it actually tasted nice
I was even more happy about the quantity they offer.
My partner loved it too

Visited here along with my friends on my birthday as everyone is a huge fan of Hyderabadi Biryani and we got to know this place is famous for it.
I was not sure if I should visit here after reading some criticizing reviews about this place but decided to visit here anyway, which I think turned out to be a good decision.
We were told that this outlet is famous for it's Chicken Biryani, so we ordered that. We also ordered their Chicken Tikka 65 Kebab Roll.
The pricing of the food items seemed reasonable to me.
I was sure the Biryani is going to be delcious right when I saw it. It looked so yummy and the aroma was doing something to my senses and it did turn out how I expected
it to be.
Biryani was one of the best I had tried so far. It had all the flavors to satisfy your taste buds.
Roll could have been better though.
A must visit.

Won't say much about this place but this is my one stop destination to fix my biryani craving.
The aroma of the spices and their mixture, its mouth watering.
it's amazing how this place makes me savour every bite as i eat it.
Thinking about their biryani right now is making my mouth water.
they also serve very amazing kheer. Though i was never a kheer lover but this place has made mme love it.
The food is also very economical.
Would suggest you this place for sure.
It's definitely worth a visit.

After a long time we tried this outlet...we had party and we thought to order some Biryani and some Chinese cousin. So for Biryani, I got reference of this place from one of my relatives.

So we ordered Hyderabadi Boneless Kabab, Chicken Boneless Biryani, Shikampuri Chicken Roll and kheer.

The taste was just awesome. They had a perfect blend of Masalas.

Hyderabadi Boneless Chicken kabab is a must try item for this place.

Viva hyderabad has a lot to tell you by its good.
While I was in gurgaon I decided to try this.
Here are the things I selected from their menu:
Chatpata aloo 65 roll
Paneer subz biriyani
Bhuna paneer kebab masala
Kheer makhmali

I tell you I pretty much like their kheer makhmali and paneer subz biriyani tasted better than other vegetable biriyanis I’ve tried l.

The chatpata aloo 65 roll can be on a go to list and the wrap was good.

The paneer bhuna masala is something I tried for the first time and to be honest I need to try it one more time. Though it tasted good.

You can definitely give it a try if you’re in gurgaon they maintain their time efficiency and I liked their food quality.

Biryani was too good, amazing taste, good amount of quantity and service
I will recommend you all to visit and experience the great taste.
Thanks

Farzi biryani! Taste is ok, but nowhere anything like hyderabadi biryani as I stayed in Hyderabad for 8 years so I know. I ordered mutton biryani and all the four pieces were under cooked, rubbery and stiff. The money is on the higher side for this much of portion, very less portion size. Waste of money, I'll not recommend nor I'll order from this place again.

Had ordered Biryani in office for late lunch. They delivered hot fresh and well packed food on time at doorstep. Quality and quantity of food items were up to the mark.

We had ordered

1. Chicken Biryani - Very well chicken cooked in good quality of rice served with salan and raita.

2. Chicken Dumpukht korma - Very delicious large sized chicken pieces in awesome corma. Perfect combination of all spices.

3. Chicken 65 Tikka Kabab Roll - Very delicious chicken 65 tikka wrapped in very soft and tasty bread.
Yesterday, I ordered from Viva Hyderabad and it turned out to be great. It is situated in Dlf phase 1 gurgaon but I opted for delivery.

I ordered the following :

Dum ka mutton korma
Chicken boneless biryani
Chicken 65 Kebab roll
Kheer

All of them were great, however I loves their Keer! It had the perfect sweet level and was smooth and rich in taste.
Food Scenes
Ordered food from this place for a late lunch and the experience was wow! The order arrived bang on time properly packed. The Paneer Biryani is super, with the paneer parceled sepratley. The Bhuna Chicken Roll is a good filler but what would be recommended here is their special chicken starter which is the Bhuna Chicken. Flavorful and delicious.

I have heard a lot about their biryani ! So I ordered chicken biryani (which is accompanied by raita and salan)with Bhunao roll and kheer makhmali ! Service is really good , food temperature was appropriate. Portion of food is enough for two people. My favourite is chicken biryani ! That you guys should not miss ‘

One of my friend suggested this place to me and we ordered :
1 dum ka mutton Korma
1 chicken biryani
1 Hyderabad chicken bones less kabeb
1 kheer

The food was really amazing specially there boneless kabeb!!

Must try! Good packaging and delivery as well!

Ordered the Chicken Combo Meal and food was good, although the portion size was too small. The combo meals are definitely not meant for 2-3 people. It’s adequate for one person. So be careful while ordering those for you and your friends.
Naveen Kum
Had biryani over here, it was a combo & was yummy. Combo had half chicken biryani, a chicken dish, raitha, 1 romali roti. It was really good. But couple of issues, first of all pricing is on the costly side, biryani had cardamom taste, kinda too much!! Best part was leg piece in the biryani 😂😂. The coke in the pic isn’t in the combo.... I got separately 😬

The outlet is located in the food court on third floor in dt mega mall
The service was good and quick
We ordered chaap veg biryani
The biryani was accompanied with salan and raita
I would give a 4/5
Quantity was good!
This place is located in a Food court at Mega Mall....seeing the name of the place ..we thought we'll have a good experience of Biryani but we were disappointed...

We ordered Paneer and Veg Combo - It was expensive for the contents in this combo ...combo contents were -
Veg Biryani - it was average as the big-big pieces of Cauliflower was destroying the taste ..

Butter Paneer - it was not nicely cooked as it was having a very thin gravy with pieces of Paneer..

Raita - Quantity of Raita was very less to eat a whole Biryani with it.

Salam - I found no difference in the taste of Butter Paneer and Salam other than color of both the things....

Roomali Roti - it was nicely prepared...

For such a place ...my rating is 2 / 5.....

This place has been in the food court for a long time now. The service is good and so is the food. They are famous for their biryanis and they are quite delicious. I have had their vegetarian biryani which was well cooked and had nice flavour. They have a lot of other dishes on the menu and they also have a lot of combos available.
Tanaya Mahajan
One of the outlets in Food Court of Mega Mall !! I have recently tried their Mutton Biryani which was tasty and good. Mutton was tender and biryani rice was cooked well. It was served with curd and gravy. Quantity of biryani was good enough for two, though I felt gravy portions were less comparing to the quantity of Biryani Served.

Would like to try more on their Menu.

Was in the Mega Mall and went to the food court. Food court is rather shabby. They have a pre paid card system that does not work with Dominos and McDonalds. Loaded and went to Viva Hyderabad who was ready to accept cash - so much so for the system. Ordered a paneer wrap. Was pretty decent and I enjoyed the same. Service was very nice as well.

This place is location in the food court of DT Mega Mall. Little sad place for any kind of food court. I only happen to visit this place if I am there for a movie otherwise this place is dead. Food is decent , nothing extraordinary. As the name suggest viva Hyderabad , I did not really like the flavous of biryani out here.

Ambience : 2.5
Location : 4
Service: 3
Value for Money:3

Viva Hyderabad is serving Biryani but as they have got Hyderabad to their name you might be thinking that they might have got Hyderabadi flavours to their Biryani.Biryani is good over here but authenticity is missing. But what I liked is that they've got an option for vegetarians too.So if you're wanting to have Biryani & you're a vegetarian then this place is just for you.
All & all a visit to thid place will not disappoint you.
Follow us on instagram @foodvood

I am not a big fan of their biryanis and korma. They aren't very authentic and tastes nothing like a "Hyderabadi" biryani. Although, I absolutely love their Bhuna chicken and Mutton on the menu. They are delicious. Every time I see their outlet, that's the only 2 things I order along with rumali rotis. They need to work on their biryanis as that is their speciality.
Sattam Ray
2.5 for the attempt to make Hyderabadi food even though it is a failure. Hyderabadi Biryani is just a disaster,I recommend you either get chefs from Hyderabad or visit Hyderabad to know the real taste of Hyderabadi cuisine. I am surprised to see some Delhites loving the food, some even boosting about the fact that the dishes are even better than the ones available in Hyderabad. I am not comparing but I can't stop laughing. Suggested measures for this place should be to.improve on the taste of the food and not make cliche like any other fake "some" cuisine restaurant.

I had been to this place for a party with my friends. we ordered veg. biryani, sikenji, mutton biryani ,for us. It was fabulous. We enjoyed the flavour of both the vegetarian and non - vegetarian dishes. The prices were affordable and worth the services provided and the food served.

Excellent food, Few expensive, but everything on their menu is very delicious! Have tried their Mutton Biryani
, Chiken 65 Tikka Kebab Roll
everything was tasty. i like Viva Hyderabad
Ashis Chakravarty
Biriyani at its best! The subtle layers of flavor, aroma and mouth watering taste (watering again now as I write!) sure makes for a great dining experience. They really know what they are doing. More than adequate quantity & piping hot food at delivery too! Overall worthy of a 5 star!
The "Bhuna" line of dishes is also awesome! ... Two 5 stars for them!!

Excellent food...!!..the food was delicious, moreover staff behaviour was good.
Best biryani i ever had in delhi/ncr.
.......................

Pathetic is the word for the food. I used to have the food here some 2-3yrs back and it was actually good.but yesterdaybit was worth spitting. Abs. no taste in bhuna chicken.biryani has only leg pieces and the gravy provided has no taste at all. I will rather tell all my friends not to try even.
Giving 1for may be raita...as tbere is no 0rating available. Agree with Ms Arya's review.
Madhurocksongrub
We ordered a Combo meal for 2, which was Chicken Biryani, Chicken Korma, 2 rumali rotis and , salan and raita. The biryani was decent, though not very flavourful, but the chicken in the biryani was quite tender. However both the salan and raita lacked the punch in flavour. The Chicken Korma was quite alright. An average meal at an average price.
Dhiraj Amritraj
Being a vegetarian, I ordered a vegetarian biryani. The quantity was pretty good for two. Not the best, however good place to try hyderabadi biryani in Gurgaon.
Also, not so expensive.
Aman Chawla
Ordered Veg Kebab dum Biryani. Awesome taste and fragrance having chicken like chap in it. Mouth watering masala; salan and raita added more flavor.

This was the only place which was left for me to try, so finally got the courage to go for it.
ordered sikenji and non veg biryani (boneless). Got the order within given time. however it was not that good as expected form them.
Food Quality: 2/5
Service: 2.5/5
Quantity: 1.5/5
Staff rating: 1.5/5

Over all rating: 2/5

Suggestion: Better option available in the market.
Jithin
I always wonder how they managed to expand their business with such pathetic food n horrible service.
Rice is not pure basmati, it's mixed with some normal rice. Neither spicy nor flavourful. Delivered too late.
Ashwini Anand
I ordered Vegetarian Kabab Biryani for delivery. The order arrived quite promptly, so no complaints there. The quantity was quite generous and the prices quite reasonable. No complaints there either.

The biryani was very dry and lacked any distinct flavour. The overall taste was quite ordinary and I would not order from this restaurant in a hurry.
Aparna Arya
Only giving this 1 because 0 is not an option. I would be really surprised if this place does any business at all. The people running this outlet must either have no interest in food or an excess of capital that this place is still operational. Food this unworthy of being called food I have not had before.
Arundhati
It's good biryani... But not the best... Rice was ok.. Chicken a bit dry .. Spices not so awesome.. In short I will not recommend it for home delivery.. As there are so many better options available..
Karandeep Walia
Okayish Mutton Biryani. The serving was less and it was warm not hot! Wasn't as expected!! 3 small pieces of mutton when I asked for extra curd they said sir its gonna cost you 20rs extra at that very moment I decided never coming back again! Biryani being their signature dish wasn't upto the mark there are many more people out there who make it better even the staff seemed little disinterested!
Gaurav Chawla
it was a nice lunch at viva hyderabad which had a disinterested staff at the counter...it is located in the food court of DLF mega mall...we ordered the combo which included the chicken biryani, the bhuna chicken, shorva (gravy ) and raita along with 2 roomali rotis...the biryani was passable ( very less flavours) but the chicken in the biryani was quite tender...the bhuna chicken was mouth watering .....we however did not taste the gravy or the raita...
Street Foodie
With the kind of biryanis they serve, I feel they should remove the word Hyderabad from their name.
Where on earth is that Hyderabad where biryani tastes such awful. I think their chefs deserve a visit to Hyderabad to get the real taste of biryanis.
Pls dont get fooled just because Hyderabad is attached with their name.
Rahul Ranjan Rai
I wish they knew what Hyderabadi Biryani is about. Overrated if I may say. Totally avoidable!
Nikhil Mannan
A pretty good place to get some quick food .

Taste: 7/10
Quickness: 9/10
Quality: 7/10
Quantity: 8/10
Cleanliness: N.A

Overall: 8/10

If you at DT Mega mall, out of the 10-12 restaurants, would rate in the top 5.
Abhishek B
After hearing a lot about this place, i decided to try it out. The service was quick, I got my non veg combo platter in about 5-6 minutes. However, I was appalled by the lack of quantity. The serving which they claim to be sufficient for a person, can hardly feed a bird. Biryani was ok, but definitely not out of the world as claimed by some. I will give it 3/5.

The chicken kabab was good, especially with rumali roti. The shorba accompanying the biryani was spiced water, and is best avoided. Overall, This meal resulted in me leaving with a lighter wallet and stomach. There are hundred of better places for having biryani. They need to seriously work on quantity.
Salman Khan Pathan
Decent biryani. Highly over priced for the quality and the quantity provided. Avoid if possible.
S G
After reading mixed reviews, I thought to give it a try. and I was very happy with the Good quality and tasty food.
We have ordered from here couple of times and we have been very satisfied with the Delivery time as it was very less.
Also, quantity is very good.

Both chicken and mutton biryani is delicious
Sanjit Bhattacharya
They claim to be one of most authentic biryani creators but honestly there are much and many more people out there who make it better....
People say they found it fabulous there but my suggestion to them is go try Biryani Blues, Tunday or Deez.... they are tons better than Viva.
Biryani is their signature dish and seemed a little over oiled to me (on 2 instances) and the sides were also not comparable.

Being a biryani freak and cook myself I know what it takes to dish out a re-visiting and long lasting Biryani taste

Overall... 5/10
Suman Sandhu
I have visited various Viva Hyderadabad outlets, and frankly speaking their Biryani ain't good, but at the same time am saying that neither are they bad, rather their Biryani is like kinda okay types.

The rice they use is actually medium quality with the rice grains not separated from each other rather sadly the rice grains are sticking together, the taste ranges from average to bad at times. The chicken was a mere two piece affair, with one leg piece and the other a tiny lil piece of chicken over bone.

The quantity is miser, the least amount I have ever witnessed, but one can't really complain, because of their pricing being on the lighter side.

Though their Shikampuri rolls are another story, the rolls were good and tasted well, the only nagging point the Rumali roti they used to wrap the roll was extremely dry, not chewable.

The Bhuna chicken was not good too, way so bad ? as per myself, the base gravy of the dish had a over powering flavor of brown caramelized onion, resulting in the bhuna chicken to taste sweet, now I don't know about others but I speak for my self, and I say I don't like my Non-Veg to taste sweet.

Also, three out of four times the Kheer was not available.

You can order from Viva Hyderadabad, provided no other restaurant is delivering at your place, their only USP is their pocket friendly pricing.

I recommend trying biryani from "Spice of India" if you are in Gurgaon.

Discovered Viva Hyderabad this weekend and couldn't stop kicking myself for no trying this place earlier. We go to DLF Mega Mall often and because the kids want McD or Pizza, that's what we eat too. But not this weekend. Ordered Viva biryanis and it was heavenly. even the kids loved it. Beautiful flavors and aromas, juicy chicken and the long and slender basmati rice. Didn't leave a grain on the plate! Going back here for sure.

I am a regular at Viva Hyderabad. I eat here once in 10-15 days - basically whenever I miss Hyderabadi food. The taste is very close to biryanis served in weddings and functions by biryani masters in Hyderabad. Having grown up in the Charminar area, I always took biryani for granted until I left the city for work. Thankfully at Viva Hyderabad I get the same taste again. I simply love the mutton biryani and chicken bhuna. The biryanis have that typically Hyderabadi punch that you don't get in the biryanis in North. The fragrance is heavenly and the after taste is beautiful. The roomalis are excellent - I asked the manager at the store and he told me they are made in milk! Kheer is their hidden secret - very smooth and creamy with lots of nuts.

I am not sure whether I got the short end of the stick but my experience was not too good. I had also heard a lot about the fast biryani store front in the Mall. Dropped by for a quickie just before a movie. The portion that I got was actually tepid, not warm, not hot, just about tepid. That there set the tone for the rest of the flow.

I will give it another go at another location.

I was craving for something new and my friend suggested this restaurant. I ordered a veg. biriyani, raita and a bhuna paneer. It was so YUM!!!

I had got it home delivered and it took only less than half an hour or so. It was delivered hot and my home smelled like food-heaven ;)

Loved it. I plan to ordered again from Viva and soon :)

I suggest all you fellow foodies to try this place. I'm sure you'll love it too, as much as I did.

The quality of food is pathetic, just ordered Mutton and peshawari chicken biryani. The preparation was really not upto the mark. The rice was undercooked and the quality of rice used was also very bad. It seemed that the rice was cooked seperately and while serving they just add a piece of chicken to it. There was no flavour ... overall really bad experience .. would never order from here again.
Rohit Gupta
just ordered some mutton Biryani and Chicken Bhuna for Lunch, really bad taste for Chicken Bhuna and the biryani was very ordinary, have had a lot better.
Gautam Khorana
Talk about Value for Money and Biryani - this is your place.
Excellent choice of menu and you have to have the mutton biryani with gravy. They have takeaway boxes for ONE also.
try the special shikhampuri (this was the name as far as I can recall) chicken roll - sort of like a minced indian chilly chicken version in romali roti.

If you are vegetarian then try the gravy paneer dish - which is absolutely amazing.
High On Food
Have been ordering from the DLF mega mall outlet of Viva since a long time. We have been ordering their dumpukht chicken and mutton biryanis, bhuna chicken and roomali rotis n number of times and trust me, not once did i find the taste different. Its really a tough job to maintain such uniform and high standards for years on end. No surprise that viva has come a long way and will go a long way. My only disappointment...the kheer makhmali was not available any of the times I ordered. Wud ensure I taste that the next time. Viva hyd rocks!

First up, I would like to thank the restaurant for inviting foodies on Zomato to sample their delicious Iftaar meal.

Went there with a fellow foodie. Between us, we had Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, Mutton Korma, Bhuna Mutton, roomali roti and kheer.

Everything was great. Especially loved the Bhuna Mutton and Kheer. I don't usually eat at food courts as they seldom serve good food. But Viva Hyderabad was a pleasant and much needed surprise. Great food.

Verdict.

Food: A+

I'd heard a lot about Viva's being the best chain serving authentic Dum Biryanis, but could never visit any of their outlets for a long time. Thankfully, an invitation came just at the right time! Mr. Desmond John has already described the entire background in detail, so I shall just share my share of the experience. This was my fifth visit in a series of invites (some were directly by restaurant-owners; I wasn't supposed to reveal that). And I'm really thankful to Viva Hyderabad for a splendid Iftaar Meal!

I could indulge my taste-buds in true culinary bliss, and their biryani is better than even some fine-dining places. such standards are really tough to maintain at reasonable prices... humongous quantities added to that!

I'm all gaga over Hyderabadi Mutton, and Viva took my delight to an entirely new level!

MUTTON KORMA (164/- on the menu): the gravy was "rich" and the mutton was "melt-in-the-mouth" soft. The blend of spices was very well-balanced. Three delicious pieces which had a dark color, owing to the slow and careful cooking that went into the making.
Quantity: 5/5, Taste: 5/5, VFM: 5/5, Timing: 5/5

DUMPUKHT MUTTON BIRYANI (195/-): overwhelming quantity and a outstandingly fine concoction of exotic spices! the Viva recipe is highly authentic and this was by far one of the best biryanis I've ever tasted.
Quantity: 5/5, Taste: 5/5, VFM: 6/5, Timing: 5/5

the accompanying shorba n rumali roti met expectations and contributed to the joyful experience of eating at Viva.

KHEER MAKHMALI clearly exceeded all expectations and the way Viva makes it is quite extraordinary! reminded me of my Grandmother's cooking and it was way too good! Really thorough with the right amount of sugar and dry fruits.

The seating in the food court was sufficient and i had a great time interacting with fellow foodies. The food was served in a neat and well-presented manner, which multiplied the joy of dining. In addition, the service was very fast and hospitable. My friend opted for the chicken versions of the same things i tried, and she too, was delighted with the original flavours.

I'm going to order more often from Viva, as they also have a good number of outlets inside Delhi. Thanks to Zomato and the Viva team for such a wonderful experience! :)
Shweta Foodster
The Food quantity first of all they claim can serve 1-2 people for a Full plate is not accurate as only 1 Person can eat and still for some is not enough. The quantity is lesser than what other people offer. Moreover, My company cafeteria vendor sells better Chicken Biryani and Mutton Korma and at a far cheaper price. Not happy at all. Its not that fabulous as you would expect looking at the special listing on the zomato website and reviews. Highly disappointed Customer.
Desmond John
Wheee!

Feels great to be one of the top foodies on Zomato. The distinction has a whole lot of benefits - as I got to know first-hand yesterday.

I had been invited for a special Iftaar meal for 2 on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr. The only drawback (I'm nit-picking actually) was that the outlet I was invited to was located in DT Mega Mall, Gurgaon. But being one of the chosen few, I didn't want to let this opportunity go waste. I asked my wife (who else?) if she would like to accompany me and she gracefully accepted my offer. She even went so far as to re-schedule her English classes in order to accommodate my fanaticism. A special occasion deserves a special review, so please bear with me as I ramble on with my experience as an invitee.

As instructed, I called up the contact person (Narinder Singh) and had reservations for 3 made for the evening (can't take one and leave the other, can I?). Mr. Singh made me feel welcomed the moment I spoke to him and he immediately offered to accommodate our kid (the 3rd person) despite the fact that I offered to pay in full for the extra portions. How thoughtful.

We reached DT Mall in the evening and decided to first window-shop and roam around as we had never been to this particular mall before. The footfall seemed to be quite low and more than half of the shops were closed. A shop-keeper told us that it was closed on Tuesdays (a mall with a day-off?) So, with nothing much to see, we went straight to the 3rd floor food court. Somehow, the mall seemed to be a confusing maze of escalators and stairs. The food court was surprisingly spacious and the ambiance was typical with plastic and metal tables and chairs set opposite the brightly lit food stalls and counters. To one side, there was a slightly elevated stage which had seats, mikes and huge speaker boxes strewn around. Most probably is was for some sort of live performance during normal open-days. We'll make it a point to go back some other weekend to check out what it's really like during peak hours. Promise !

Once seated, we ordered (and promptly got) Bhuna Chicken (thick dark gravy), Veg Biryani (rice with mixed veggies), Chicken Biryani (layered rice with succulent chicken pieces), Chicken Korma (slow-cooked chicken in medium light gravy) and Roomali Roti (nothing great here). Pepsi gave us company throughout the time we chewed, while at the end of the meal, our craving for something sweet was well satisfied by Kheer Makhmali all around. My son (an upcoming junior foodie himself) ummm-ummmed his way through the entire meal, while I relished the juicy chicken and mildly spiced biryani (it could have been a bit spicier, though). My wife (not much for sweets) dug her way right through the kheer. Not bad... not bad at all!

A special mention needs to be made here -- We also got the chance to taste their recently introduced Hyderabadi Chicken Kabab. Believe me... it's an absolute must-try. It consists of delicately spiced chicken nuggets with the unmistakable South Indian flavor of curry leaves and mustard seeds. It was served with the classic coconut chutney and tasted amazing. Truly a different flavor from the regular chicken tikkas that we Delhiites are so used to. This dish would be a fitting companion to a Riesling or Gewürztraminer.

Nothing to complain by way of service, quantity and quality. Even the price should be quite acceptable to most of their patrons, though there will always be dissenters. The crowning point of the evening was getting to meet and interact with fellow foodies (I'd like to call them Zomatii) who had also been invited on this special occasion. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening... and one that we badly needed.

Viva Hyderabad!
Viva Zomato!

Amazing mouth watering Biryanis. But little disappointed with the quantity. We had juicy kababs as well. Try this!

When you want to quench your hunger for some cheap lip smacking desi style food on the go viva hyderabad excels and quiet efficiently. It tastes great it is always fresh and chicken/mutton is super soft and extra juicy and really awesome!!!
while writing this review the my mouth is watering and aroma and taste is over powering my brain. i think i will end up ordering my favorite chicken biryani before the day is over.
