Review Yumchi - New Delhi

If you want to taste great Chinese food with affordable price and great quality yumchi is the right place to be in. Soothing ambience and good service you will never regret going in there. You can try out their noodles and spring rolls which is my favourite from the menu. The dimsum comes in different colours with great taste and fillings. Overall service, quality are great.

GTB nagar has been coming up with places that has certainly left me amazed with the quality they have. Yumchi is certainly one of them!! I haven't seen a lot of places in GTB nagar serving Asian and chinese cuisines, this perhaps proved to be the best!! Certainly proved the best to me! I went with my friends and began my meal with the 2 best shakes a place could serve: Paan bahar shake and Berry cookie shake: Perfectly thickened shakes with the perfect sweetness. Moving on to the starters, I tried: Chilly fish: With the perfect chillies and the apt flavour, this is highly recommended. Chicken dimsums: One of the best dimsums you could ever have, also 5 type of dips are served with these dimsums, all of them being amazing. These were very juicy. Coming to main course, we had Five spiced chicken and Ema datchi with tingmo. Five spiced chicken was just out of the world, had a very different taste. Nobody should miss this whenever they pay a visit at Yumchi. Ema datshi with tingmo is a tibetian bread served with a chilly and cheesy gravy that had a lot of veggies in it. I couldn't resist having half of it by myself. For desserts, I had death by chocolate and it was heavenly. I am sure you won't get a better DBC in GTB nagar. I am sure this place won't ever disappoint me.

Good chinese food, both vegetarian and non vegetarian options are available. The staff is very friendly and the service is also prompt. The rates are reasonable but the place is a bit small and conjested but this aspect can be compromised. The place can get a bit loud of it is fully occupied otherwise its great.

Really a great experience at this place. The food is so tasty and the ambience is also decent. Food is really at reasonable rates. So overall a really wonderful experience.

Second trip to this place and had a proper lunch this time. It was simply great. I can say it is One of the best place to have some asian and Chinese food in GTB Nagar. This place has many great things to offer. Simple yet beautiful interiors welcome you in a sitting area of around 40 people at an instant.Staff is really courteous and quick with the service. Things you should not miss onto when at YUMCHI :-Thai Lemon Corriandor Soup: Has its very own authentic unique flavor, too good for a soup -All the mocktails and Shakes are well prepared, even the classics have the perfection of balance and sweetness: I loved Virgin Mojito, Banana Caramel Shake, and Watermelon Cooler -Spring rolls: Nothing like ordinary spring rolls, prepared with glass noodles and come in with a beautiful presentation and a good portion size. -Corn Pepper and Salt: So far the best Crispy corns I've ever tried, perfectly crisp and tangy flavor to it make it a MUST TRY -Five Spice Chicken: This was just an off charts preparation by the Chef for the non veg mains, as the name suggests it had 5 spices blended into it for such a delicious and lip-smacking experience.

Yumchi is a the best place for the ones who love chinese. The food is superb here, do try pan fried dim-sums,corn salt and pepper and Ting ming mushrooms. Yumchi panner a delicious dish with nuts.

I ordered chicken wings and Singapore chilli chicken. Food arrived in 1 hour and 10 minutes. It seemes like the restaurant sent this food from some street vendor and not Yum chi itself. The quality was poor. The taste was pathetic. worst experience I had with Yum chi<br/>

Went there for dinner. I think they need to increase their staff as their service is really slow. Food-wise, the place is fine and not too pricey. I ordered Creamy Garlic Prawns, Fish in Chilli Oyster Sauce and Hakka Noodles for the mains. All these dishes were really good. The quantity was plenty and I enjoyed them. However, the starters, The Chilli Cheese Wontons were a big disappointment. The did not have enough filling, I couldn't taste anything apart from the dough. Also, they were slightly burnt. I wasn't even served the varied sauce that they give. It was a let down.

Situated on Hundson Lane within the shadows of big eateries there , this one will help you take a Pan Asian cuisine tour. Amazing soups and noodles. Dimsums will leave you wanting for more. Recommendation - Must Go!

This tiny place in Hudson is truly a hidden gem. The legit Burmese / Thai food drags me to this place. Everytime. Their Khao Seuy and fresh Thukpa is to die for. Nice ambience minus the loud music which makes it serene. Easy on the pocket and good quality of food. I highly recommend it.

The chicken chilly had too much soya sauce in it........tasted a bit bitter, not at all like chicken chilly, very disappointed, will not be ordering again.

This is such a beautiful chinese place which has all those amazing chinese dishes. Dimsums here extremely tasty and amazing over a cozy but nice place.

The place looks tiny from outside but is nicely done from inside with well lit up place and comfortable seating. Went to this place today evening to have sushi but sushi as mentioned in the menu was not available. I was also informed that any dish with lamb or pork meat is not available after a very very long wait as if they just realised it. Anyways had ordered streamed chicken dimsum with 5 variant sauces- Mayo, Miracle Sauce, Black Bean Sauce, Chilli Corriander Sauce and Ginger Sauce. All the sauce variety was extremely flavourful but there was nothing great about those orange colored steamed momos. Very ordinary and nothing very great except the fancy presentation.

An Asian cafe. My friend and I ordered kung pao chicken and rice. Kung pao chicken had veggies and nuts. Taste was good. Ambience was also nice and cozy.

I tried the chicken momo (steamed) and it was nothing but roadside momo, that you get outside metro stations packed in a fancy way. Fresh made momos are supposed to be juicy. If you are a momo lover like I am you will know what I mean. I am never ordering from here again. Such a rip off!!!

Bad Management. Ordered before 11.30 pm. They accepted my order. Chatted with them and they never mentioned about cancelling the order and after 40 mins rejected the order didn't even bothered calling.

I didn’t like the food at all. Firstly, this is comparatively an expensive place. Also, the chinese served over here is not that good. I didn’t like the taste at all. Though they try cooking differently but I didn’t like it.

When it comes to chinese i would recommend one to go and give it a try . I ordered from zomato only from this place noodles , chilly chicken and soup . All the items were really authentic in taste and i loved it ☺️

This is a nice place to enjoy Chinese. Service is prompt and it's not very crowded so you can spend some quality time here. Vegetarian dishes are not as good as the non vegetarian ones.

I went there to try wontons (different types of dimsums or momos) here at this place. It was very unique for me but prettt average for me if you go for Veg ones. You may try the Non Veg ones. They might be better.

This is a Japanese/Thai/Asian restaurant in the vicinity of Delhi University. The restaurant looks too small from outside, but the interior is done in. a manner to impress. The staff is also courteous.<br/>I was really disappointed that the menu which they have is not served anymore. I wished to have Sushi and it was not available.<br/>Tried a double fried chilly pork and spiced fizz from this restaurant. The pork was good, well cooked and tasty. The fizz was also good.<br/>

I ordered Pan Fried Momos from this place but when it arrived the packing was damaged and the momos were fallen out into the polythene. When I saw the momos, they were nothing close to pan fried, those were plain steamed momos which were already cold. The chicken stuffings were uncooked and the chilli chatni was terribly stale. I almost puked. I had to throw the plate. NEVER ORDER FOR THIS PLACE. Serves the shittiest food ever!

We ordered Hakka noodle with Veg Manchurian,Veg fried Momos and Veg spring roll with Virgin Pina Colada and fruit beer.<br/>Veg Spring roll was good and Pina colada tasted good.<br/>They have improvised sauces/chutneys which is also appetising.<br/>But to our pity Fried Veg momos came dripping in oil.Manchurian also tasted same as fried momos.

Totally in love with this place. Such beautiful ambience and the lemon grass fragrance is just a cherry on the top of a cake. People over there are so warm.<br/><br/>I tried everything veg and NOTHING was disappointing. Had pan fried momo's , pitch green in color with 6 dip choices. Each of the dip was delicious. Had Ema Datshi with Tingmo, and this was the best Tingmo I have ever had. Amazing lemon coriander soup, and to end with a classic honey chilli potato.<br/><br/>A beautiful place with an amazing experience.

A big NO for sushi.<br/>I have tried sushis at so many places and I know exactly how it tastes .<br/>I tried this place , first of all they took like 25 -30 minutes to get my order which did not bother me because I thought good if the food is being prepared freshly .<br/>But the food did not taste well at all .<br/>The sushis were too sweet .<br/>The presentation was fine that and the staff was good for which I gave them 2.5 <br/>But not sushis.

I love nothing more than good Tibetan fare and Yum Chi delivers! The thukpa and thenthuk are so delicate in their flavors, you are tempted to eat slowly so as to savor it. While I was a tad disappointed to see orange momos, the variety of sauces more than made up for it. It is a tad bit steep for the price but nevertheless makes for a good meal. The servers and friendly and polite and the ambience makes you forget the traffic outside.

I ordered a chicken momos from yum chi. It was worth the price as per seen the chicken stuffing in it. But the momos were breaking as I started to consume them but they were good in taste.

Thupka was tasty. Cannot comment about chicken sweet corn soup because I am Shakahari but the way my meal partner finished it, it seems delicious too.

Charming little place, chic Tibetan decor and polite servers. Food was good, stuck to the basics, chilly chicken, crispy garlic veggies and Singapore noodles. Quantity was surprisingly big. Must try!

If you love Asian food , try out this small yet aesthetically appealing cafe in Hudson Lane. As you enter , you will feel as if you have come to a different space. <br/>We ordered veg pad thai noodles and veg momos. Pad thai noodles was a complete 5 on 5 for me. Momos were good and they have 5 kinds of sauces served with it but I felt that the quantity could me more. <br/> The staff was courteous and the service was on time. The best thing about the cafe was that we didn't encounter noisy people in here ( as it is small) as compared to other cafes that are big. The entire place had a cosy vibe. <br/>In the end , we had a great time and were left completely satisfied.

I had ordered for the chilly chicken and fried rice.<br/>While the food arrived to me safely, the taste barely met my expectations. Add to that a very late and slow delivery, and I had an experience which can best be described as painful and forgettable.

Its the worst food experience ever. You should close the restaurant or atleast it shouldnt feature on your app! 1st the food delivered after 2 hours... secondly the delivery guy is unprofessional with replies such as “you cancel the order if you have a problem” and this is at 1am after your guests have waited for 1 and half hour for food... last but not the least- the whole order was wrong and the food was unfresh- the chilly fish had a foul smell(unfresh meat), instead of chilly paneer- chilly potato was delivered and much more... i will give a 0 if there was an option. And honestly for the 1st Time disappointed by zomato with the service!

Delivery was not on time. Chilly garlic chowmin was not upto the mark. There was nothing as chilly in the noodle. You can't make anything tasty just by adding chicken. Had very high expectations from them.

The ambience was quite good. We ordered a plate of chicken dimsums. They took some time but overall great in taste and a wide assortment of chutney.

Went there for a friend’s birthday. Pork momos and prawns were nice but other than that everything was just bland and tasteless. The worst thing was their sushi! We had to wait for hours to get our food and to top that they served us fish sushi when we asked for a veg one. The Manager was not even apologetic about it. Do not recommend

Yum chi is one of the few food outlets in GTB nagar that is all in all Chinese Restaurant. Its a delight for all chinese lovers, as it covers a wide variety of dishes in the menu. Coming to the taste, it's literally 'yumm' chi 😍.<br/>Just one suggestion, It'll be great if the work a little more their vegetarian dishes, specially the taste.

Simply loved the food from here, being an Oriental cuisine junky I ordered some momos, wantons, chilli chicken and fried rice., not authentic but the best Indo-Chinese version 👍

The most amazing pocket friends place I’ve found in Delhi for Thai as well as Tibetan food. Must try is their Thai Khao Souy. Supposedly they have started hard drinks also.

Never had such bad experience. I ordered drums stick and momos, there was all water in the momos and drunms stick got cold. Even I called restaurant but they didn't make it right. I am so disappointed.

We ordered food today through Zomato’s online delivery - Thukpa, Chilli Fish, Mongolian Chicken and Chicken Hakka Noodles. <br/><br/>1. Horrible packaging. They still use railway packing containers that had all leaked up on the way. <br/>2. Too much of artificial colouring used in the mongolian chicken gravy. It was so orange, not the best sight for an authentic mongolian preparation. <br/>3. All in all the food was just high on red chilli. <br/>4. The portion size needs to get better. Five of us at home have always ordered 2 portions of noodles in the past (from other restaurants in the area) and have never had a problem with quantity. <br/><br/>Not going back to this place again.

Sunday evening n mood was for Thai.. so searched Zomato n the first option was Yum Chi. It's nicely placed on The crowded Vijay Nagar road. Ambience was nice and cosy.. seating was comfortable.<br/>Staff was very warm n curtious.<br/>Ordered Urmaki Fish Sushi. :- 5<br/>Thai Chilli potato :- 4<br/>Red Bunta :- 4<br/>Paan mojito :- 5<br/>Mango crush :- 5<br/>N Hazelnut Frappe :- 4<br/><br/>Food was amazing service was great...in chilli potato was a bit way too Chilli, rest all the food n drinks were great... This is one of my favourite places when in North Campus. The decor is smooth, relaxed and soothing giving the feel of a Tibetan street. Plus the staff is very polite and helpful.<br/>They serve awesome chinese and Tibetan food along with some mindblowing mocktails and shakes- especially imli ka boota and pan bahar shake.<br/>I have tried a variety of dishes here including spring rolls, pan fried noodles, thai chilli potatoes, dimsums etc. Except for the potatoes, each dish has been an absolute pleasure. Even the potatoes have nice taste and spice to them, its just the size of them which spoilt the experience for me.<br/>All in all, its one place where you can go for a tasty meal.

You can also have veg sushi here if you don't eat non veg.<br/><br/>Five Spices Chicken: A perfect accompaniment with noodles!<br/><br/>Death By Chocolate: The chocolate cake was soft, gory, super moist and yummmy. The food was terrible. Yes terrible is the word. Chilli chicken tasted as if it is a bland soup made for sick people. I never recommend this unless you have money to waste.
