Review The Embassy Restaurant - New Delhi

Devansh Gaur
If you prefer vegetarian options, The Embassy still has a lot to offer. Their vegetarian dishes are just as delightful, with a variety of flavorful choices that cater to your tastes. From savory appetizers to mouthwatering main courses, their vegetarian menu is sure to satisfy your palate. Plus, you can still enjoy the classy atmosphere and impeccable service while savoring delicious meat-free options at The Embassy.

I liked the ambience of the place, the staff was courteous, however the food is expensive and the taste is average. We enjoyed tandoori platter and chicken rara of the things we ordered. We dined above which I found better with some view of the outside.

It's an Old School Type Restaurant and Bar. It's one of the oldest eateries at CP. I enjoyed the atmosphere which is very calm and relaxing. No loud music. I loved their service and welcoming behavior. The price is a little high but overall a good experience. The food is above average but portion size is very good.
Sanskriti Agarwal
Nice old school dining place with old school interior. A rather quiet place for a quiet meal. They were having match screening. Food was crazy expensive but we used apps for discounts, hence it was reasonable for us. We had paneer lababdar, missi roti, garlic naan, chocolate milkshake and veg hakka noodles. The food tasted quite good and was not spicy thankfully. The service was also good.

I usually eat patty from here whenever i visit CP just coz of the freshness and taste. Yesterday I had panner patty with cold coffee and the taste was same as before. Best place to have snacks in CP. Must try!

Old world charm. Excellent service. Great food. A little cramped but that adds to the experience. Enjoyed ourselves

The food is superb, the staff is supportive, prices are not very expensive. The menu is superb. Just go for it if you have any doubts, believe me it's worth it.

You've got to give them a chance to serve you once

The crowd was on the elder side. I think its a good place to go with family, relax and have good chat. If you are going with young group there are more lively places around the area. The interior is very classy with its old vintage decor. You can get all types of food like North Indian, Italian etc. And a decent variety of drinks. Taste wise its 5 out of 5, slightly expensive. I visited only once on Saturday and the place was not too packed.

Felt like I stepped into the 1960s for a minute. Had so much fun. Also the chairs were so comfy and spaced perfectly for movement even though the place was closely packed. Bravo team.

Great food, awesome butter chicken, so soft and tender, never had that type of butter chicken anywhere else, dal makhni was just so so kind, never order roti it was not good but naan and stuffed kulcha are soft and tasty as well...!!!

Manisha Damani
Very bad service.... wouldn't go for second time... food was not having proper taste.... even service was very slow .... had to wait for 30 minutes for main course after finishing platter though we ordered both together.
Joel Licuanan
I loved the restaurant. the food was excellent. our waiter was really nice, helpful and very professional; his recommendations were commendable. the restaurant is in a great location in the heart of Connaught place

I loved the Butter Chicken with Naan. Excellent food maintaining and offering super dishes. There is much more in menu, but one thing that one should not miss, that is caramel pudding. Always delighted to be at Embassy. Service is superb, staff is very good, waiters very professional. All in one word "FANTASTIC"
Shipra Goel
Amazing, calm and serene place amidst the noisy connaught place these days. Perfect place for calming your nerves and having a relaxed conversation.

Good ole Punjoo food, can’t get any better than this. Service can be a little more crisper. The assorted bread basket was great. The Embassy pudding was delightful, the gulab jamun were very average, seems that the had been purchased from a mediocre halvai, not restaurant caliber!

Food Delicious... Taste yummyy...Ambience perfect....service quality overall perfect....decoration awsum...NYC place,CP,Delhi

Small eatery at Connaught Place with prompt service and the best part is the longish selection of Continental Food . A visit here will perhaps make you come back.... I have gone back there again and again

This place is good for family dine-in and quite expensive.
✔️ Ambience: 3.5/5
✔️ Hygiene: 5/5
✔️ Food: 4/5
✔️ Affordability: 3/5
Mr Ajay
Embassy is one of the legendary restaurants of Delhi and my family’s favorite. This is the first restaurant we visited since lockdown and we were not at all disappointed. The food was up to the mark and all the sanitization was in place. We were impressed with the seat covers and packed cutlery and made us more comfortable to dine there again soon. Must visit if you haven’t already.
Mr Ajay
Embassy has always been an old favorite and will continue to be one. It’s a great place for family get togethers; the staff has always been friendly and polite. Even during Covid times, we felt very welcomed and comfortable. We were happy to see the extent they have gone to keep sanitization in place - from masked staff to seat covers and even individually packed cutlery - everything contributed to a great experience. As always the food taste and standards remains consistent with tomato fish and dal meat as our favorites. The pudding was just cherry on the cake. Definitely recommend to anyone who is hesitant to step out at this time - Embassy was well sanitized and can’t wait to go back soon!
Megha
Most legendary restaurant with unbeatable and unforgetful flavours. Famous for its mughlai dishes, dal meat, pudding....
The Indian Hunt
We spent a lot of hours Zomato thinking where to go and what to eat. I just felt like there is no other place with such amazing food after visiting EMBASSY for the very time. This place will never fail to impress you with their drinks and food. Situated at the very center of the delhi - CP, it is a rightful choice for one perfect evening

This has been my forever place to go. When ever I have to plan for a dine in with my friends and family
Recently I visited them post lockdown
I must say they have maintained the hygiene very well with no compromise in food and quality
Butter chicken still be my favourite And my forever coffee ❤️

Embassy has always been our go to place for celebrations and dine out. Post lockdown we visited the outlet again and to our surprise they have up thier game and set a new benchmark for dining experience in the entire vicinity.
The food and service are good as always. Few changes to the menu with lesser options. But they have retained all the bestsellers.
Yummy food
Good service
Pleasant ambiance
Enjoyed lunch with colleagues

The food and service were par excellence....
food served with warmth and good hospitality
A lot of measures has been taken to keep covid 19 out of the premises. Excellent food served in safe dinning environment.
Pallavi Jindal
Did not expect this kind of taste and service from a luxury restaurant like Embassy. The breads were half cooked and they also brought 1.5 lachha parantha when we ordered 2. Later we ordered more of them. Also, all the dishes like Jeere aloo, lababdar paneer and dal makhani were ordinary.
Rushil Khanna
Best place for Authentic Mughlai....excellent service and absolutely stunning ambience.
What else can I ask for?
BLACK CHESTNUT
I had a great opportunity to visit the Embassy restaurant, and it was ethically built all around. I loved the food, it was so tasty and delish. Also, the atmosphere was very formal there. And I love formal things. All the staff was well mannered and they treat us so good.
Gandharva Grover
Your Sunday brunch or mid week dinner this place always brings a smile to my face. Order their pudding and dal meat. Also they serve beer on tap.

The food, ambience and service are just amazing.

I have gone with my family ,it wasa great experience and specially the famous daal makani daal I like so much and mushroom was the great ,nice presentation by the staff.
Shilpi Thakur
Nice place. Kind of a vintage feel to it. Dal gosht was nice. Tandoori platter can be tried.
Rocambolesco
Visited the place for lunch with a friend. We ordered tandoori veg platter, the food was impressive. And the ambience was nice, vintage and fancy.
Lalit Thadani
Cream of tomato soup. Here the beauty is the tomatoes are well well mixed which a wonderful taste of typical tomato soup with cream topping and bread crunch.
Sunny Digwal
Great food and service loved the channa bhatora. Took my foreign clients and they had a great time. Thanks to Mr Pandey and Mr Deepak for giving us a great experience

I had my eyes on this place since i was a child roaming the streets of Cannught Place.
Finally visited last week. Experience was good.
Food tasted average. Nothing to draw myself back. Staff is friendly thought.
I liked paneer tikka more than chiken malai tikka.
Butter Chicken was debated though - it is not as sweet as some people prefer.
Hungrybird
I love all of its snacks:
Big Samosa
Large Bread pakora
Veg. Hot dog
Paneer patty
And their mint sauce👌👌
Siddharth
Please donot waste your money by going to such restaurants. Even after replacing the first one the second one was terrible.

We were shopping at connaught place and were looking to eat at a good place, we spotted embassy and entered.

They have a seating capacity of close to 80-90 people on the ground n first floor. A well stocked bar too.

We ordered paneer pakodas , masala papad , half butter chicken ,and a few tandoori rotis.

Damages to the pocket - Rs 1528 ( US $ 21.4 ) inclusive of all taxes.

Overall experience - Rs 650 we paid for half a portion of butter chicken was cut throat , just too expensive and the taste was nothing great.

I would rate this place 3 on 5
Deeya
Great place ! lovely food ! Fine dining at Connaught Place . Lip smacking Indian food. We tried the masala papad, paneer pakoda, it was melting in the mouth .butter chicken was great but could have been boneless . Overall a great experience !

First time visiting this place. It's incredible and will come back for sure 🙂. The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable.

Very nice and pretty decent place to go with family and friends. Biggest bhatura i have ever seen. Had a good time. Personally didnt like the sittibg arrangements it could be better. Asked for choice of drinks hiwever, many drinks were not available. If u think of visiting dont go with high hope but if you have good company you can go ahead.
Had a fun full experience with friends but when it comes to the legendary taste it was really lacking there.

The cooling of the air conditioner was getting poor as the time was moving which was highly disappointed .

The taste of the food was not that mind-blowing that I would like yo visit this place again.

The chicken platter was okay but not awesome .
Murgh mussallam have bone pieces and the taste was just okay .

Fruit ice cream have fruit but ice cream was just like cherry on the top
SAKSHI KOHLI
Just ended up having my dinner with friends here.. didn't have a good experience at all in respect to the AC COOLING. Was sweating profusely while having the food. Had asked them to switch over the AC multiple times but maybe due to the over crowd the AC wasn't having effective cooling. However the food is concerned. The taste is vintage means the same as we are having from ages here. The Bar menu is not having much variety . The butter chicken dal makhni murgmusallam paneer labbadar has overall a great experience. Including the starters andthe soup. I had given my 2 ratings basis the AC COOLING. SEEMS coming here in winter is a better choice..
Tanyakumar1947
Tried the
Vegetarian Samosa 3/5
Cold Coffee with Vanilla Icecream 2.5/5

The samosa is gigantic, easily filling 2-3 people at a time. I just wish it was a little less oily. The cold coffee was a tad too sweet for me. The ambience and service is fantastic, the staff is extremely polite.
Udit Bhatnagar
Heard a lot about this place though its classic but compared to other restaurants in CP which are equally old and updated Embassy has to meet their level. Service is slow. Hype n price do not meet the experience. Disappointed.
Soumen Bhattacharjee
This place is good for their North Indian & Continental varieties. Retains the old world charm, food quality is good along with the service. One look around & you know it has its own set of fans who frequent the place for good food
Tanya Singh
I recently went to this place to have my all time favourite Chicken Ala Kieve and I must say I came back disappointed.
The outer crumb was soggy and the chicken tasted very bad.
Have been coming to this place since I was a kid and had the same dish with my parents.
Seriously, whoever from the restaurant needs to read this, please don't ruin your speciality. I don't know maybe the chef is new or they didn't bother to prepare it in the right way, but such carelessness was not expected from Embassy.
Harry S
Good generous servings. Very informal and homely service. Waiting period is more which you can not help. Love their Chicken. Fine all fineee
Aditi Shahi
One of Delhi's Restaurant that has stood the test of time, the food is as good, and so is the ambience, the service is great, prompt and courteous.
While I love their Non Vegetarian North Indian dishes, but what I really look forward to trying is their Continental affair, absolutely love their Grilled Chicken, Chicken Stroganoff, Chicken A La Kiev and Fish and Chips. And the Embassy Pudding is a sheer delight and a perfect ending to our meal!
Ishan Sachdev
Well this place is perfect for a outdoor hangout.
You get fantastic tea over here and believe me a massive size SAMOSA , which is incredibly awesome. I bet you can’t have it alone.
Do try it....

Fabulous food. Pathetic service. Going to this place always brings nostalgia - used to frequent this with my grandpa. But maybe the 71 years of heritage has gone to their heads. Thankfully, food still tastes great.
Saima Rizvi
Great food great service. I am one of their regulars not use to Putting up reviews. But this restaurant deserves all the credit in the world the owners have ensured that a person gets the same experience they got in the late 1960’s there is no other property that can be compared to this heritage. The embassy restaurant is a landmark in itself. My personal favourite dishes are butter chicken and chicken tikka green peas. Just visit the restaurant and enjoy the world your parents were born in.
Sanjeev Khanna
Amazing food, and service it is my all time favorite restaurant. I have been going here for the past forty years 5 days a week for tea and meeting my friends. The experience of embassy is described best with the tag line of master card there is somethings that money can't buy. Food to look out for
1. Dall meat
2. Mutton chop
3. Channa bhatura
4. Conna coffee
5. Tomato fish
6. Bom de mascova (I might have spelt it wrong )
7. Butter chicken
8. Chicken pakroa
Ravee Sharma
If you are a person of good taste you should visit here, Glenfiddich 15 is what I personally like to take with mutton gilafi and tandoori platter are outstanding dishes that seriously need some applause. Surely going to visit again.
Aanchal
Amazing food. So cream dal makhani. Wide range of menu. Everything was perfect. Even the desserta were to die for. The prices were a little high but the legacy makes it all worth it.

Went to The Embassy CP a couple of times. A quite place with lot of history. Staff is polite and courteous. Position size is big so ask the staff when you order.
Gaurav Chawla
one of the few places that have stood the test of time and still going strong....one of the icon as far as the delhi eating scene is concerned....we go there more for the nostalgia value than the food itself....

the interiors are basic...the service is quite efficient...it has some bad days as well...

my vegetarian friends had the veg cutlet which was quite nice...my ajwaini fish tikka was however bland but went well with the green chutney and onions...
Karandeep Bharj
Ambience was good but I did not like the food at all, and I order chai, the waiter without asking me which chai, himself considered it to be Darjeeling chai, and says here only chai means Darjeeling chai, I don’t know how come sitting in Delhi chai means Darjeeling chai, I actually wanted masala chai..worst experience
Tanushri Srivastava
I had heard about the Embassy often enough from my parents, and my friend & I decided to go try it the other evening. The menu looked really nice and we zeroed in on Chicken Bharta, butter naan, and keema naan. When it came to the point of serving the food, it was beyond disappointing. The presentation of the food was extremely distasteful with the curry smeared on the ridges of the serving bowl, and almost had its cooking oil dripping on the tray it was served on.
Additionally, the keema naan barely had any keema in it while the butter naan was simply too dry to be called a butter naan. For the price that we were paying for this food (INR 759 for the chicken dish, INR 129 for the butter naan, and INR 199 for the keema naan), we expected the food to be at least properly served to us (without it looking messy in the serving dishes as well as on our table & plates) even if we didn't have high hopes for the taste of the food itself. Like I said, an extremely disappointing experience. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Plate To Palate
Price for 2- Rs.2000

Withstanding the test of time (our first visit) since 1948 this iconic restaurant has been modernised now but still retains the old world charm with ageing wait staff providing excellent service.

Great food, good ambience and polite staff. What more does a person want? A perfect family joint.
The highlight was the " Dal Embassy ", a delectable mix of black lentils, kidney beans and butter tempered to perfection. Also the Veg Jalfrezi and the Pesto Pasta were delicious.

A must visit for food lovers ! 💙

Absolutely useless place for vegetarians. My favourite place Ambrosia bliss was not open so decided to give them try.

We ordered paneer tikka, creamy corn stuffings in starters, in main course we ordered paneer gravy(don't remember name).

Only pander tikka was good and rest was just absmile, awful and felt like puking. Rotti was missing and pudina paratha.

Rotti were not good either. It was awful food and price was rip off @2600 they charged for this useless food.
Simran Malik
I went there on a Saturday night with no reservation, and the place was packed. Luckily I got a table in 10-15 minutes of waiting. The ambience and interiors are very nice. We took a table in the balcony/upper floor area. We ordered a plate of Fish and Chips, Paneer Lababdar, Dal Makhni, and various Indian breads. The fish and chips were unexpectedly brilliant. The crust was crisp and the fish was soft. Paneer Lababdar was a little sweet for my taste, but I guess that is a matter of personal preference. I really liked the Dal Makhni as well. The servers were exceptionally courteous - 5/5
Rishik Bhatia
The quality and taste of food was impeccable. I ordered chicken steak it is served with 2 garlic breads and small portion of french fries. The chicken was well grilled and the sauce was also very flavourful

A visit to CP definitely warrants a meal in this cult eatery that has withstood the test of time, from a year after our independence. All spruced up and modernized now, yet retaining a retro feel to it, Embassy still has servers who have been around for decades, which gives this place a club type feel. The menu is exhaustive, and prices are steep no doubt, but a meal here is more of a one-time experience than anything. The food is impressive no doubt. The fish tikka was perfectly done, the tandoori chicken was succulent and not the least spicy as is the norm in Delhi. Overall, spice is every dish is toned down to suit a global palate I suppose. And their wine and beer collection isn't bad at all. Lastly, don't forget to order the pineapple raita here, which is slowly becoming an extinct dish now.
Sonia Singh
It is one of the oldest restaurants in CP. still going on very well. Serves both veg and non veg. Ambiance is very much cordiall. Food is served with great devotion. You will love to eat there again and again.

too good palace for chilled out....Great food, good ambience and polite staff are the key features of this place. I went there with my family. We had “Corn Seekh Kebab”, “Tandoori Stuffed Aloo”, “Murg Malai Tikka” ..king size samosa.. very good palace
Akshat Gupta
excellent King size samosa,...... chana bhatura, daal meat, pudding......seating arrangement is very good. staff behavior is good... service is too good
Hardik Vohra
Great food, good ambience and polite staff are the key features of this place. I went there with my family. We had “Corn Seekh Kebab”, “Tandoori Stuffed Aloo”, “Murg Malai Tikka” and a “Penne White Sauce Pasta” in starters. Corn Seekh Kebab and Murg Malai Tikka were very good. Penne White Sauce Pasta was yummy 😋. Tandoori Stuffed Aloo were great 👌. In mains, we had “Dal Embassy” (Dal Makhni) and “Palak Paneer”. Both dishes were delicious 🤤.
Siddharth Arora
Went in with some high expectations. However, the experience wasn't that great. Ordered 3 dishes, each of them was below the usual taste that we get across the restaurants. At the servicing part, a single server wasn't provisioned and hence the confusion as to whom to place the initial order and the subsequent order. The servers were in general working in a haphazard manner to wind up things and didn't even have the time to serve the mints at the end of the dinner.

We go to a restaurant for either or both of the 2 things: tasty food and good service. This restaurant failed in both the aspects.
Piyush Sharma
Been there few time, and loved the vegetarian food.
I went there with two families, and everyone liked the food there.
Loved all the Indian dishes we had, and every dish have its traditional taste, for which they are actually known for, like Dal Makhni, Shahi Paneer, Pineapple raita, etc.
Good place for the Indian food lovers (indian vegetarian i had), with nice elegant ambience.
PriyaDev Batra
Old world charm can be a great story for a restaurant but not at the cost of quality of food. Food is quite sad. It needs a little help from a chef who can bring some freshness and quality control to its loved recipes or another institution will pass the blame to fast food culture instead of genuinely looking inwards!
Sarthak Goyal
The location is prominent. A great place to have a family get together. The service is fast. The interior is classy and has retained the orginal look. Though the place feels little stuffy.

Must try - Chicken A La Kiev (specialty)
Ritika Mital
Food is amazing!! Service is good too ..the whole ambience is very classy and cosy .. one of the oldest restaurants in Delhi , this place was established in the 1940s .. definitely a must go ..

It was pretty from inside but I didn't like the food here. Looks very impressive from outside located at the inner circle, C. P.

I ordered kadhai chicken and Butter Naan and it wasn't that good. I'd not suggest it to anyone.

A legendary restaurant in the heart of delhi C.P.
Great food great service Awesome taste.Highly recommended place.A must visit.Embassy restaurant has maintained its taste consistant since many years.

Serving for more than 50 years that too in center of the city still their quality of food and drinks is great.
P.S One of the best coffee i have had ever is over here.
Sidharth Vadhera
Very nice Mughlai food. The butter chicken and tandoori chicken tasted really well, served hot along with salads. Was a bit disappointed with the mojito we ordered along, it tasted like limca and mint leaves.
PS there is a wait time of 15-30 minutes on weekends and holidays.
Ambience is good.
Overall a nice and pleasant experience.
(1500-2000 for two)

I and my Father were looking for a quiet place to dine in yesterday and we found this old restaurant in the outer cirle of CP. Since the ambience was comforting, we chose this place. I noticed the following about this place:
- The staffs are courteous and service is good
- There is soft music and low light. So its a quiet place in the midst of the outside white noise. Hence I would give 4.5/5 for the ambience and staff.
- The food menu doesn't have a variety of options but it covers most of the north indian dishes. Their italian dishes are just ok. Only the north indian dishes are a good choice. We tried the corn peanut chat as a starter and it was good in taste as well as quantity. Their penne arrabiata pasta (served with 2 garlic bread) was more sweet than spicy, which might be ok for some.
- Their mojitos and lassi are good but their shakes are not as per their price. Hence I would give 3/5 in terms of food/drinks.
Jazz
I love this place and food is also very good and that big samosa I just loved it . I go there and enjoy that big samosa and burger also very tasty and the samosa stuff also very very tasty . I just love this place

It was disappointing, I went for dinner and ordered children with garlic bread nd cold coffee, I would say they need to improve their taste of food. Hope for the best in the next vist.

Really nice and old place. It’s basically a Fine dining restaurant serving amazing food.

Went here for lunch and I’ve tried few items from their menu.
•Paneer tikka - just so nicely done.
•Penner in Alfredo sauce - Okayish.
•Dal Makhani , Paneer lababdar , Boondi raita , Butter naans - North Indian food was nice. Raita didn’t have any taste - was bland.
Other items were good.

Food : 3.5/5

Quality & Quantity: 4/5 Good quality and quantity.

Ambience: 3.7/5
•Fine dining restaurant.
•No Cafe like outlook and no dj or so. Just soft music.

Service: 4/5 amazing staff and good service

Over all experience : 4/5
FOODFEASTFIESTA
Being one of the oldest restaurants in the city, this place gives a nice grand feel to it. On the pricey side, the food here has huge servings and helpings. Serving a variety of cuisines, I would recommend for you to try the Western Cuisine. The Chicken A La Kiev was to die for and never disappoints. It's basically a deep fried chicken breast stuffed with butter! Craving one rn!
Vani Arora Katyal
Went to Embassy to refresh childhood memories, they have renovated but food quality has gone really down . Ordered all their famous dishes Dal meat , tomato fish , mughlai chicken and embassy pudding. Paid a hefty bill of 7800 . Not going again.

Location - Superb
Parking - Usually Available.
Sitting - Comfortable.
Ambience - Quite and meeting friendly.
Food - Tasty.
Quantity - Good in comparison.
Washroom - Available but at first floor with no lift.
Cost - Approx. 1200-1500 per person (snacks and moderate drinks) no main course tried as yet.

Good for closed business meetings. Not good for friends get together (youngsters avoid it)
Very old Restaurant In Delhi NCR excellent food along with service good ambiance with nice olded decoration Tandori paneer tikka,Tandoori stuff allo main course Rara meat, malai kofta with tandori crispy roti was very yemmy dessert cream ala embassy so tasty lovely experience with family

Went to Embassy restaurant for lunch. Heard and read a lot regarding its iconic status and hence wanted to partake in its hospitality.

We ordered only two dishes ie, non veg kebab platter and pudding. The first was above average while the pudding was excellent unlike anything I had eaten before, light and fluffy.

If there is a negative it is the fact that the waiters , managers etc were talking amongst themselves when not serving customers and hence the place did not give a professional look and feel.
Ankit Mathur
I heard much about this place on online blogs, but its highly overrated. I went there on chirstmas eve. Ordered Chana Bhatura, Full Butter Chicken, Butter nan, laccha parantha. I have never seen such oily bhatura in my life, I know its deep fried but still my hands were rinsed with the oil. About butter chicken, it was not at all spicy and I could only taste butter and salt in it. The waiter was MIA after taking our order and we had to wait asking for water. Just another fancy restaurant with no regard for taste.

The food is delicious and amazing in the embassy connaught place and it’s a nice restaurant for family and there are staff very helpful and friendly.

It's hard to think of a restaurant that's captivated so many generations of Delhi

When it comes to eateries in Connaught Place that attract big names, there have been, and are, some crackers. But none that deliver such a heady good time, every time, the way The Embassy Restaurant has been doing since 1948.

It's here you'll see a crazy mix-up of royalty, politicians, celebrities, hospitality workers and beautiful strangers in various states of disarray, all gathered in dimly lit dining hall for a succulent , democracy manifest.

The real ace in the hole, though, depending on who you talk to, are the Murg Musallam, Dal Meat and Embassy Pudding. Once you have had any of these star dishes you would want to keep coming back for more.

Shefta Sondhi
Embassy is a foodie's delight! The dal is yum, dal meat is delicious and naans are perfect to satisfy one' hunger. The Malabar prawn curry is a personal favourite. Loved the quality consistency everytime I go.
Savar Malhotra
Great food great service this restaurant has been Delhi's landmark standing strong for over 70 years. I have been eating here since i was born. Make sure to get a reservation during weekends this place gets full and has long waiting. The dishes I personally recommend here are for non vegetarian Dal meat, tomato fish, murg masallam, mutton chop and in veg there Channa bhatura, corn saag. Try out there samosa as well but its a meal in itself.
Tanisha Anand
The perfect place to have a hearty meal. The butter chicken, murg musallam and dal meat are to die for! Hats off for maintaining the quality and taste of food all these years.

We were here for dinner yesterday. While the main course food is meeting all the legacy standards this place has worked hard towards, I must add they need a lot of effort in their service quality. Extremely slow, high response time from most of the staff. It was funny actually, our tomato soup came before the teachers 90ml could. How long does it take to our 2 large drinks? Definitely not 15 mins. Appetizer portions are also not as per other restaurants’ portions/pricing. The vegetarian platter in particular was not as per expectation.

All in all good food but wouldn’t recommend for the quality of service.

This place showcases the opulence and lushness of Connaught place with its fine dining hall and courteous staff. This place is located in the heart of CP and offers a well balanced menu card with a huge variety of curries and platters alongs with appetising starters. If you visit CP often give this place a try and you’ll not regret the decision. This restaurant is one of the oldest in CP and is continuing its gastronomy for years.

Food is okay. Prices are quite high, ambience is decent. Good thing is it's not too noisy, so it's good place to sit and talk with family and friends.

A great place but i wish I could say that the whole experience was a good one. They made us wait a lot for the food and then in the end, all I can say is that they do have great food. Butter Chicken is great to start with. The drinks are okayish. This was my first time having a margarita with whole ice cubes and not crushed like our souls from the 10 to 6 jobs but yes, I am never having one like this again. This place def has a lot of great things.

The place is one of the oldest restraunts in CP. The place is overall a good place for family get together but advance bookings should be must. The ambience and service was great. The only reason for 4 is the food taste.

We decided to have our meeting in Ambience ,CP and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. The place is quite spacious and the ambience adds to the fun. The food is good.

Now this is a vintage restaurant, as reflected by its name. The food is very average, and is a bit expensive. Didn’t find the nov veg dishes worthy enough.

Connaught Place never disappoints me
Embassy had always been on my wish list; considering one of the oldest & no fuss restaurants in the CP area
Perfect for quiet business meetings; it offers a good range of Veg & Non veg dishes along with drinks
A must try place but heavier on the pocket

Being a lover of Fine Dine, it's one the place I always prefer to visit. The English ambience attracts a lo and of course, being foodie made me try almost every kind of food there! Fish and chips are must try one!
Must Visit one!
I went with my wife and kid to CP and at around 2:30 pm we were looking for a nice place to eat in CP inner circle, when we stumbled upon Embassy. With no feedback in mind, thought of giving it a try.
On entering, felt like entering in a nice, decent well organized place. As the seats were largely occupied on ground floor, we went to the 1st floor of the restaurant. The staff was courteous, the food decent, ambience was soulful with light music in background overlooking the hustle bustle of the CP.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the best part was the bottle gourd pickle which was a first time for us. Loved the place, and the food thoroughly. The Bhatura is big, similar to what we get in Punjab by Nature.
Loved it there.
It was a very satisfying experience overall.

Great ambience; soft instrumental music. It was classical European piano during my visit.
Food was also quite good with decent serving size. Has quite a few options for both vegetarian and non-veg. Kid friendly; has high chairs available. Also a good place to bring your family.
Staff was very courteous and the place was clean. Price slightly on the higher side, but as it usually is... We pay for the ambience, not just the food.
