A very nice and pocket friendly place for veg and non veg food, yesterday I ordered butter chicken and kadai paneer from here, chicken was perfectly well cooked and very delicious in taste, kadai paneer was also amazing in taste and not very spicy, recommended for everyone.
I ordered for rawa chicken and roti taste was pretty good quality of food was good and quantity of food enough for 3 person in one portion it's value for money or packing was aslo good no leakage problem.

Tried Dal makhni and butter naan. Both of them were delicious and the prices were affordable. Dal makhni was so creamy and delicious. Naan were thin crispy and tasty. We overall loved the place. It is open till 2 a.m in night when mostly all restaurants are closed. So it’s pretty perfect for your late night cravings.
I had their Chicken Seekh Masala and its totally WOW! Very economical with awesome taste. I highly recommend their chicken seekh masala with crispy tandoori butter roti.
The food is very delicious. Mutton Rara and other mutton menu is really great. I would say that they are the best in Jail Road and I always order the food from here only. The quantity is too much for me.
One of the best places to dine in for non veg at jail road ,have tried the butter chicken and a few non veg snacks several times and have never been disappointed with the taste or quality .Thumbs Up !!
So I went here for my Dal Makhani craving. I Tried Dal Makhani and butter naan. It tasted great and wasnt surprised as Chawlas have maintained their name since long. Would love to try their non vegetarian food in my next visit.
A nice north Indian restaurant in jail road near Gianni's . The chawlas is a very old food joints and serve very tasty north Indian food . They have wide variety of vegetarian as well as non veg options.
Paneer butter masala- the famous and special... for all the paneer lovers.. this is the place for you.
And yes their chicken is also amazing..

Heard Lot about Chawla's2 . Thought trying their food , so I ordered Manchurian from there Restaurant. It really tasted Well. Manchurian Gravy was thick.. Appropriate spicy and Manchurian Ball size was accurate. Liked it .. Will Definitely Try Again..

Nice north Indian food but really small sitting place... Due to its small size you generally get the cooking smell from the kitchen even in the dining hall.. service and ambience are average.. Parking is an issue...

This place literally has the best chicken ever. The food was really good but is not exactly ideal for vegetarians. Though he food was good the seating arrangement was lacking and there was less space to sit.

All these 3 things were delicious except butter chicken it was just average.

I have ordered thrice from this outlet now. First time, it was their famous cream chicken, then butter chicken and third was tandoori chicken. All three times, the experience was good. Chicken was well cooked, not too spicy, not less either. This is my new favorite from loads of such restaurants in this area.
Wanted to have the famous cream chicken from this eatery which is said to be the franchise from its original one located in ludhiana( said to be the originators of the cream chicken recipe which they provide them with) and is actually very very rich which is provided in Ludhiana
But guess what the one I was served here did match to the one I tasted before in Ludhiana in taste and texture
I would recommend it as a must have if you are in Tilak Nagar area
But I did have few more dishes which weren't as expected and not upto mark
But full marks for their cream chicken
Small seating okay food... Nothing too great about this place. Situated in the foodie hub of one of the punjabi localities of delhi- tilak nagar jail road. The size of bread(plain tandoori roti ) justifies d punjabi eating capacity... It was huge! Folks with me ordered chicken tikka butter masala which was okay in taste - we had to return the dish as we found a small hair in the gravy- these guys humbly offered us to replace it but we refused n as a result it was politely taken off r bill. Things like this can happen at best of the best places too! The malai kofta ordered by me was shared and relished by us all though it was average in taste. The green chutney served alongside sirka onions was good . Overall food was average but it was a good eating experience. Staff was untrained but courteous n decent .( manpower can always b trained ... Ofcourse!). This place does good as it was one of the family places that had waiting outside... As we noticed on r way out !

A small place though......only have been ordering food form this place.....the packaging is pretty good....clean and the food normally is hot when delivered..... Love the dal makhani from this place....but rest of the veggies are just average......
Nice food and decent ambience,we had ordered tandoori and reshmi chicken.both were tasty and upto mark.in main course we had kadai chickenwhich was well cooked and tasty.biggest plus is that we can have gianis icecream just next to it for after food sweet tooth :)

I really like chawla square for veg and for non-veg as well. If you really want to taste a punjabi food must try chawla. I specially like fried rice and Manchurian. Its tooo yummmm.

Visited the place yesterday,a friend recommended the space and truly speaking I wasn't disappointed at all.firstly we had tandoori chicken and it was a perfect balance of spices and tenderness,then we ordered pehawari chicken,was delighted by the way they had coated it with spices and egg white..in mains we had chicken adraki and cream chicken and we truly were happy with the generous portion and taste...a must visit for all..thumbs up guys ..keep the good times rolling..cheers:)
This is the real chawla belongs to ludhiana amazing lip smacking cream chicken tastes same as the ludhiana one .... Other than cream chicken they serve very hygienic and less oily flavor punched food they mantain the perfect balance of flavors must visit if u are in janakpuri or nearby ... !
Tried this place today evening , ordered Tandoori chicken tikka , which was well marinated and cooked , pieces was well seasoned and juicy , portion size was also enough , then we ordered there creamy chicken with Tandoori roti, amazing stuff , chicken pieces were tender , soft and well cooked , gravy was rich and smooth .
Highly recommended , pocket friendly .

I have just one word for this place thats. WOW.....awesome food.. you can find loads of restrauns on jail road but i must say this is one of d best place to visit. Tandoori momos you cant find anywhere as good as in dis place. Awesome chinese . Butterchicken is the real taste of this place..has a good dining place even. A must try place....

I am a vegetarian and had went along with my family who wanted to eat, as usual, Chawla's cream chicken, which they said was tasty, but what I want to talk about here is their "Soya Chaap Masala' and on another occasion 'Soya Chaap Rogan Josh', which to my surprise was very tasty. Finally, I found a place where my Non Vegetarian Family and Vegetarian me can both enjoy eating our fingers out.
Cream chicken is ok... The food is ok with tiny little pieces of chicken.. The chefs at chawlas are from ludhiana..

I don't think I will ever get bored of this place, Cream Chicken it is.
Thankfully, this time I had more things to order with a friend over, so we ordered Afghani Chicken, was not perfect as far as tenderness in concerned, but then was much better than many other places in the area, was not the softest but soft and was fine in taste.
Besides that, ordered Fried Chicken out of curiosity and that turned out to be the best thing, taken straight from Nirula's who has since lost it's charm, this one was even better than it's counterpart there.

My favorite Cream Chicken ordered again and it was perfect. The breads were even better than before, the Pudina Parathas and Missi Rotis were huge and good. Wow.

Consistent ratings for the best Cream Chicken, I have had it thrice in less than 10 days. Though I must mention that on one occasion the cream was a bit too much due to which there were small lumps of cream in the gravy and it did not taste very good.
Even their Fish Tikka though good in taste is too less in quantity for the price they offer it at.
Still, I have not had a better Cream Chicken yet.

Chawla's is known for inventing the Cream Chicken and that is the thing to eat here. Though the quantity is very less, the taste is just outstanding. That is the only reason of me visiting this place till now.
Though, last time, I ordered a Kalmi Kebab and it was pretty good.
I would suggest you to taste their Cream Chicken once at least.
I am very frequent visiter to tilak nagar area, and specially when with family at night, so there is no option left with Chawla. Its a nice and good quality food they are serving from a good time, the butter chicken, chicken kali mirch, chicken roll is my all time favourite.
Its a must go place, I will surely recommend this place to everyone.
Nice and cozy family restaurant situated on the main Jail road just adjacent to Giani's.
We tried Kalmi Kebab, Chicken Rara with Garlic Naan & Chicken Fried Rice.
All dishes were really good in taste and portion sizes were good as well.
Overall a good restaurant in budget but feels bit cramped specially when full.

Mutton Curry - Good Taste, perfectly cooked, good use of spices. Quantity is low, only 4 pieces for ₹ 420. Curry also not enough for 2 adults.
Mix Veg - Use of all seasonal veggies, normal spices used. Good Taste.
Garlic Naan - as usual
Tandoori Roti - Felt like the dough was stale, there was a sourness.
Rumali roti - cold.
Prices are bit high but can be compensated as it's AC restaurant with sitting area in Tilak Nagar Market, where most of the eateries are just having onroad table arrangements.
One of the good old places still serving food the authentic way, I have for ages loved their Karhai chicken, had in zillion more places but their karhai chicken remains top favorite
