Review Darjeeling Steamers - New Delhi

Visited this place few days back...They serve authentic Nepali food ..I tried their Nepali thakali, SEL ROTI PLATTER, jhol Momos, pot sticker Momos, beetroot and spinach Momos, butter garlic momos. Each and everything was freshly prepared , very yumm in taste , nice ambience and polite staff.

Darjeeling Steamers is one of those places where I can travel to any distance and don't even think about it twice. FYI it has shifted but to an adjacent building only. I had 'Jhol Momos' and Kimbap (Korean dish). Jhol Momos was out of the world. You will forget about Gravy Momos when you will have these. Kimbap was something I tried for the first time and I didn't like it that much. First of all, it was quite bland. Just for trying something new, I had it. The place was quite and has an very soothing vibe. Definitely if you are a momo fan, this is your place.

You need Google maps to find this place otherwise it will be hard to find. The place is located in commercial appartment and one thing place is small but the ambiance of this place is great I can say that. The menu is quite wide with good veg and non veg options. I tried potato cheese momos and they were great, never thought potato would go with momos and the soya soupy momos were fantastic. I would recommend this place.

I love to associate with strong independent women entrepreneurs. Came across one such lady today, the beautiful owner of Darjeeling steamers. She served us her classic butter garlic potato cheese momos! Nothing like what we ever tasted, the flavours were simple yet delicately balanced. Must try! Also the cold coffee was superb.

Good to go for momos lovers( veg and non veg) and other items like French fries and meal plans. All items are having good taste and great quality. Price range is a little bit high. Place is narrow and only 7-8 people sitting area is available.

Place is pretty amazing, the vibes of the place is claiming 😁. I had ordered chicken rice momos and mojito. Taste is okay-okay. But the staff was really nice😄

A quaint little restaurant in Shahpur Jat, serving authentic Nepalese cuisine. Dined there for the first time with an acquaintance a month back, and loved its ambience. The butter garlic momos were good, but what blew my mind away were the buckwheat momos. Looking forward to visit this place again and try Thakali and other options from the “healthy” segment of their menu.

Darjeeling Steamers is a cute little momo place. No doubt momo was very freshly made and quality of chicken and meat was amazing. This teeny-tiny cafe which is very cute, very quiet, has ambient music, low lights and good softy vibes is appropriate for ending a tiresome day! This place has extensive Momo options and distinctive menu for customers to choose from. What I had ? A. Sadeko Chicken Momos - Spicy Momo chaat. I had one bite of this and lost my mind to how frickin tasteful it was; thankful to whoever came up with it. B. Tingmo + Chilli Chicken - Fluffy Tibetan Steamed Bun w/ Chilli Chicken was a whole different taste ride; a little sweet and a lot yum!!

Loved the place yummy momo . Very pleasent host and hospitality is good. Truly a small peice of Darjeeling here in Delhi a small travel back to home town. My Son and daughter both loved the place had a very good time

Where Innovation meets exquisite taste........��

We ordered 4 plates Alu Dum yesterday and we got half plate Alu Dum instead! For 205/- a plate, we were shocked to see 4 half full containers! And we have ordered before so we know the quantity warrants atleast 3/4 of a container full. We ended up literally just sampling this because the quantity was so less !

Good to learn they've opened a bigger place in Shahpur Jat which is a little tricky to find but still warm nevertheless. Been a fan of their classic momos for quite some time and definitely going to drop by sometime for a full fledged meal sometime!

We went there after seeing it’s promo video promoted by some so called self hyped food bloggers. Before us another guests complained of finding hair in their food then we also found one in our food. Secondly the overall place is not at all hygienic. The tables are dirty and cuttlery is inadequate. The space lacks proper seating arrangement and ventilation. The food taste was average but the service and hygiene is a major issue. When we got to leave the other and the only guests also decided to leave midway. And the most worse part was the Restaurent still had the shame to offer us a bill. Very Bad Experience. Visit with Caution.

Best momos in town <br/>

Their momos and shefale are the best I’ve had in delhi. The aloo and cheese momos are to die for. The non vegetarian momos are juicy and good amounts of filling. The best part is the food is like you’d get at your home. The chef, I assume, has put in years in making their recipe so good. <br/>Portions sizes are just they way they should be. It’s like I went back to Darjeeling for one meal ❤️. <br/>They sure have earned a new fan and I’ll ordering for them often.

After craving for momos for about 5 months, this has been my first Zomato order during covid lockdown. Can't thank my stars enough for finally biting into the best assortment of momos. Thank you guys!! The portions are filling and the cheese potato momos were out of the world. I am trying these for the first time. The chicken pot-stickers and chicken momo are as yum as they always are. A heartfelt thank you for serving us with such amazing food during the pandemic. Polished it all in no time :)

The chicken butter garlic momos were a delight. The wheat steamed pork momos, on the other hand, were undercooked. The pork tasted a little off as well. Overall, a decent joint to order from.

Tired their new korean food item on the menu...The Spicy Korean Ramen. And I won't regret to tell that this dishes hit all the notes on my palette. Sweet and sour from the kimchi and spicy from the ramen broth. #yummymyummy 😍😋👌🏻 <br/>And yes...we can customise the level of spiciness.

Had the best pork thaali in a while. The taste was so pure it took me back home. <br/>The ambience gives a feel of darjeeling and then the food does the remaining bit and voila , You are in darjeeling .

I know this looks like lumps of rice on a homely plate, but these are actually the overly hyped Rice Momos with chicken filling.<br/>The chicken filling is covered with steamed rice instead of a white flour layer, and steamed furthermore to bound the flavors. I appreciate the experiment, but did not find either the filling or the layering very appetising. Can be tried once though! <br/><br/>The second variety of momos i tried at @darjeelingsteamers were these Hot and Spicy Chicken Momos,<br/>Filling was the same as chicken filling in the rice momos which was quite bland tbh so there was no spicy or hot factor to it but the layer outside was crispy, nothing different than the fried momos we usually get at stalls though.<br/><br/>I was the most excited for this plate right here, featuring Puffed Mutton Momos from @darjeelingsteamers <br/>These momos has a thick, puffed and uneven textured oily layering which I didn’t mind eating because it was soft in the mouth. The mutton was fresh but again a little bland and unflavoured. Somebody who likes fresh, non spicy mutton momos can try this.<br/><br/>Last varient of momos tried at @darjeelingsteamers - POTATO MOMOS<br/>I don’t know how many of you have tried this one, but not much to guess, these are momos with basic flour outer layering and filling of mashed potatoes. You really have to like the taste of mashed potatoes to be impressed by this specific varient of momos. Also available in North eastern areas and Mcleodganj.

I have been a regular customer of Darjeeling Steamers. My favourite dish is the butter garlic nonveg momos. But today the chicken was not good at all..very chewy and too pink in colour. And one momo had hair on it...The preparation was very bad today.

I went late to this place around 8: 30.I ordered steamed momos and thupka, they very nice. Momos were mouth melting. Though I went for rice momos but it was out of stock. May be nxt time. Nice staff nd good hospitality ☺<br/>

I ordered butter garlic momos n steamed momos. Both chicken. Just wanted to share my views. They were the worst momos i ever had. Highly dissapointed. Thick uncooked top. Exactly where you close the momo pouch, extremely thick and uncooked. My family literally took out those parts and tasted the momos. Butter garlic momos again, burnt garlic taste, very unpalatable. Won't recommend.A good quality momo is with thin melt in the mouth layer. Highly dissapointed.

If you have heard of momos are not health then give this place a visit....they give you a variety of fillings and crust you can choose from and take 20bucks for healthier wheat momos....yes wheat momos!!!<br/>

Being a crazy Momo lover I had to visit this place, this miniature sized momo place is located in Shahpur Jat.<br/>This is really time like 4 seater only, but then their USP is there Momos, anyway we ordered steamed puffed vegetables Momos and Chili and Garlic vegetable fried Momos. They were delicious, the sauce was amazingly hot and spicy. And the quantity was also best in the price given. If you're a Momo lover, this place should be on top of your priority list. Found this gem in Delhi. The best place for momo and other Darjeeling cuisine . Loved their hot n crispy potato and sadeko waiwai. This is the only place where I choose vegetarian over non vegetarian.<br/>I had the spicy Korean ramen with all add ons (egg,teokbokki, chicken and cheese) best way to eat the spicy ramen. Loved it<br/>

It's very difficult to find authentic tibetan food around here. When I first ordered from Darjeeling Steamers, I wasn't sure how it'll be, but they exceeded my expectations. The momos were delicate and juicy, just like the ones you get in Darjeeling. The thukpa is sumptuous and the sauces are really spicy.<br/>The Handmade Noodles is a dish that one should try, they are different from regular noodles and the way the spices are blended by the chef, make it a must try.<br/>I 100% recommend this place.<br/>It's amazing!

I visited this place after I saw the viral YouTube video and to my amazement the food was awesome. Just some background, I'm a momo lover which means i'll eat a momo even if it's not great but I reaallyyy appreciate a good momo dish/restro gem!<br/>I really enjoyed their chicken butter garlic momos. Beautiful looking, flavourful filling that was perfectly cooked and I only wish the chilli flakes didn't get a bit bitter masking the delicate flavours of crispy garlic and butter but overall very good momos and a very cute "enjoy your meal" message brightened the experience. I would recommend it and will hopefully try their pork momos soon!

Visited here to try try momos. Had butter garlic momo which was good in taste, service was slow which can be better. Interiors and ambience is also value for money.

Bad momos, aloo dum was not upto the mark, they forgot to deliver sadeko Wai Wai. Definitely not worth it even while they had set up a stall during cross road at Srcc. This restaurant's stall was always empty.

The menu is quite misleading to be honest. The only thing that is cheap here are veg momos, and I doubt anyone is going there for just that. They don't even offer complimentary soup with momos, as is expected from a place claiming to offer authentic momos from Darjeeling.

It is not cheap. And they don't even give momo soup along with momos for which northeast momos are famous for. I will suggest go to mkt or Delhi haat.

So I love dumplings of all sorts. The name had Darjeeling and it grabbed my attention. I think this place has that calm feel or better say that "Tibetan feel". The sitting & other furniture is very basic and subtle apparently which is a pretty good setup for a small place like this. Coming to the main part, The food. So we ordered, Butter Garlic - Spinach Corn Cheese Momos , Chilli Soya , Oreo Shake & Lemonade. All of the items were pretty good but the Momos "Oh My Gosh " ( in Janice's style) . They were everything or more what my tongue expected from this place plus the restaurant people are pretty chill which compliments the whole experience.<br/>So if you live in South Delhi region it's a must must try.

Okay. New star in the block! This place is relatively new, trying to make it's mark on the crazy grid of cafês that is Shahpur Jat. It is a small room that won't fit more than 10 people at a time. The lighting is cozy and warm. You can sit on the ground taking a mattress and play easy breezy games while munching on the food. Which brings me to the actual part,the food. This place has Amazing Momos,period. All of you out there who enjoy pork, do order the the pork momos. They are out of the world. And another thing I would like to say is that the veg momos are better the chicken ones. Trust me when I say that(I'm a Bong. Duh!). We celebrated our cousin's birthday there. The owner, a lady with the sweetest smile and gesture made it special with her own recipe of chocolate Momos and ice cream. We had booked this place for 2 hours or so and enjoyed to the fullest. Do pay a visit. Of you love food,you're gonna like this place. Cheers!

I must say that I tried momos in street and in star restaurant but no one can match the taste of Darjeeling steamers, I ordered home delivery and even visited the restaurant, I really had wonderful experience. A MUST MUST try for momo

Great food. I tried their veg momos, pork momos and alu dum. It was all good. Alu dum mixed with sev and wafers was a good combination. Usually I dont order momos for delivery as it tastes good when served hot right out of the steamer but they delivered it really fresh and hot.

I came to know about this through a you tube blogger. The chicken momos both steamed and hot and crispy chicken disappointed me. They tasted bland. A thumbs down from my side!!

So far, one of the finest momos that I had in Delhi. Loved their butter garlic momos, steamed momos and paneer momos. Will definitely try all the items in the menu.

Yeterday i hv visted this little place,I had potato momos vd Butter Garlic sauce & Darjeeling veg Platter consist of Chowmein + Chilly Paneer +Fried Momos. The place serves a range of momos with different varieties of sauce (Red chilli +Green one n Eggless Mayo) and covering and fillings too. The potato momos was one of the best i hv ever taste anywhere else. I recommend one should go n hv a taste of it.

The rice coated momos and the garlic fried chicken momos are fantastic! Actually everything here is fresh. The quality of chicken and other ingreidients is top notch!

The cheese was so salty, I think you should change the cheese, probably use mozzarella.. Or some cheese that stretches, and so much oil.

We tried tteokbokki (Korean spicy rice cake dish) and crispy chiecken momos.<br/><br/>With Tteokbokki they gave you option of extra toppings and we chose.. cheese and chicken sausage tteokbokki. Tteokbokki is generally spicy but they gave you an option of less spicy tteokbokki which is actually good for the people who can't eat spicy food. Taste of the tteokbokki was good.. Rice cake was well cooked but the taste of sesame oil was kinda strong for me. <br/><br/>Crispy Chicken momos was actually really crispy and super tasty. They served it with red chili sauce, mayonnaise and mint chutney!! YES!! MINT CHATNEE WITH MOMOS. The combination of the crispy chicken momos and mint chutney was 5/5!!!👌❤ Loved it.

The momos here are absolutely delectable. I had the steamed pork momos which were quite genuine in flavour. The place serves a range of momos with different varieties in covering and fillings which I'll definitely try on my next visit.
