It's a very nice south Indian cuisine restaurant to visit with families. The service is super fast and the food quality is always good. Dinner time on holidays is rush time for this restaurant so you might have to wait for 5-10 minutes but since the service is super fast that waiting will not be a lot. I will definitely visit again.

Loved the food and vibe.The staff were very responsive and kind.We tried panner tikka ,rava and masala dosas which were really tasty and yummy.Tried podi idlis too but didn’t like them much.Only bad part was the waiting time which is around 20-25 min so be prepared.

Coming back from a trip of Vaishno Devi and Pahalgam i craved for good homely south indian dosa which will satiate me and fill me. I was very relived to find a Sagar Ratna close by. Not only was my Rawa dosa served crisp with varieties of chutney but also the service is so good. The staff is polite, place is spacious very hygenic.

Sagar ratna is famous for it’s south indian food and we couldn’t agree any less. I had rava masala dosa, masala dosa, rassam, and filter coffee. Talking about the dosas both of them were amazing. Loved the sambhar. Filter coffee tasted so good and rassam was nice. Ambience : 90/100 Worth : 95/100

Food is good. Taste is good. Only problem is the quantity. I ordered 1 kashmiri Pulav, trust me it was just a bowl full, not sufficient for one person for a meal. If 2 people want to taste a few spoons along with their proper meal, then it's fine.

Poor food quality. Mix vegetable was swimming in the oil and In the name of mix veg. Potato and peas was provided and it was absolutely disgusting. Mix raita was full of salt and curd was sour. Unacceptable and I wish sagar Ratna Ashok Vihar should shut their operations as they have compromised on the food quality.

The service was upto the mark and i personally like the staff as at the end of meal they came up and always ask for the food taste and quality. Food- This place serves the best south indian food and you can never go wrong . The food tastes very awesome and hell tasty. I ordered rasam, onion uttapam , rava masala dosas and paneer Mysore dosa . All dosas are good in taste and the paneer one was i like it very much as it was new introduce in the menu. The chutneys they provide are thr main attraction of the food as they are hell amazing . Most of the items are very cheap so you can eat alot with your budget wise. Overall it was nice experience and would recommend . Looking forward to go again and enjoy their nee introduce dosas again

I wasnt a big fan of south indian food until unless i ordered food from them. So one fine evening i decided to give south indian food a try. Never been a fan of sambhar dosa since childhood. I ordered a rawa dosa and dahi vada. Food was packed perfectly. Dosa was crisp. Sambar tasted good, would have been better if they made it a lil thicker. Dahi vada was just perfect. Cutting 1 point bcz it is on an expensive side when it comes to south indian cuisine.

The place is old, being there for years, the only thing that has changed is the lights got brighter, the staff is highly arrogant and doesn't really care much (more like a sarkari canteen). The ACs aren't effective as such. The food has certainly deteriorated over the years, but pricing is amazingly cheap. but again charge me extra but give me nice food and good smiling staff. The place is always full but the staff , the old ambience and to top it all the noise and no silence. I will highly not recommend this place unless you want nice chutneys and idly fires as their dosa is like papad now, you will have to keep begging for more sambhar . Their pricing is the only thrill to visit.

This is one of the oldest branded food chain outlet in Ashok Vihar. Been there a couple of times, once in tbe year 2009 and now in 2018. Found noticeable differences. The decor and furniture seems worn out. There are monumental restaurants in New Delhi running since ages, but they work hard to preserve the aesthetics and ambience of the place. This outlet doesn't seem to care much. The food is more or less good, Rasam papad, Uttapam, Rawa masala dosa being the highlights. But emerging stringent competition from newer outlets, who are aggressive in trying out innovative variants of the South Indian cuisine,might dent the customer base of Sagar Ratna. I believe a revamp of the interiors and infusing variety and creativity in the Menu is required for the outlet to sustain its standing in the area.

Sir, I have just ordered from your restaurant for take away and I have asked your executive very politely at the reception to pack Green Chutney with the order and one of your executive ( Mr. Venkatesh Bhatt) who was just standing by replied in a very sarcastic way that we don't give it in take away orders. I requested him once again to pack it and told him that " Venkatesh Sir your first priority is to satisfy your customer " He replied in a sarcastic way and said " I have been working in this outlet for 6 years so Thank you I won't do that, its your wish to place the order or not" I found it very insulting and I had to take the order as my family was waiting for the food. But all I need is your help If my review matters to you and you take these things seriously, please take some action against him so that this won't happen with me or any other customer. Regards

This is probably one of the oldest Sagar Ratna I know about.. my mom from her job days used to go there for team lunches.. The food is average.. like any other South Indian food joint.
