Place in food court. Ample sitting space. Food served hot and tasty. South indian special are really good.

This is the usual Sagar Ratna menu. Sagar Ratna started out as a small authentic south indian food restaurant and has now grown into many locations. They're everywhere now. This Epicuria location is in a food court so it's quite small with a limited menu. However the basic food is up to the mark. The Epicuria food court is usually not that crowded so one can find a sitting place.

Hey foodies,

Had an amazing Mysore masala dosa at the Sagar ratna outlet in Epicuria food court.

Loved it and a big thumbs up👍 to Sagar Ratna
Vikas Agrawal
I had masala dosa there. The dosa and chutney were awesome.
PsychSoulFoodie
A good place for south Indian, but sad to say not one of the best outlets of the chain. The dosa are the only dish worth mentioning . It's good and crisp though occasionally it's a Iil too sour . The idlis and wadas are decent.
Khan
My south Indian platter sambar, ram, aplam, rava Kesari, lemon rice , zeera rice, south India dal and 2 veg curries, puri.. sufficient for 2 people and not so expensive. Hygienic and tasty
DEL_belle
Loved the masala dosa from the Sagar Ratna food court outlet. The sambhar could have been better and lacked the tangyness. Otherwise it was a nice crisp dosa that was very cheap.
Riya Sapra
Sagar ratna is one of the best places for South Indian food loverss! Varieties of dosa's and unlimited sambhar to eat. The 3 chutneys complete the full meal.
Ordered a onion rawa masala dosa and plain dosa from here
Jannat Kaur
The food is good, the service is also good. But the person taking the order needs to be more polite to the customers. It’s very clean and everything is made fresh there.
Shreya Tyagi
The best South Indian food in town. I’ve been loving this place since i was a kid. We had Onion masala dosa. It was great. Loved it to every bit. Ratings: 4/5
When it comes to south Indian food, sagar ratna is always my first preference. It's quality and quantity is just amazing. Perfect ambience and great taste. I have taken their speciality, sagar special paneer dosa and it's just yummy. Must try.
Becausefoodfirst
I love this outlet. I am a south indian food lover and i find your food so delicious and mouth watering. I had this idli and vada at your outlet and found it awesome.
Nitika Thakur
Have been eating at Sagar ratna for ages and except for decreasing the quantity everything has remained same here. Mix veg uttapam, masala Dosa and Mysore masala Dosa for lunch - just delicious!!!
Alvi Kumar
I went to Sagar Ratna after my repairing laptop. I got dahi vada was good and red sweet sauce
was too good and I also got gujiya was okay, little dry. Slow service but friendly staff.
Neha Abhay Thakur
It's my go-to choice when it comes to South Indian food and Sagar Ratna never seems to change on what it has delivered. Mysore masala dosa with sambhar and chutneys best lunch combo.

Went to this place after a really really long time and I didn’t even know they started serving Chinese too! Really liked the chilly paneer and spring rolls but chilly potatoes were a mess. Dosas and uttapams were classic as expected!

Best place to have south indian food. Quality is damn good and taste is superb. Worth the price.
Must visit this place.

Follow me on instagram @cheesy_spreads

Best thing about this Sagar joint is that they keep innovating their menu. They have an idli chaat that is good. Dahi vada like any Sagar is unbeatable. The staff is always pleasing. The Navratri menu was good.
Shanu
Not a very big fan of south indian food but still wanted to try this place from a very long time.

Tried sambar vada from this place and I must say it was a real good decision. It was really good with awesome flavour and consistency.

Recommend this stuff from this place.

Overall good experience.

Been to Sagar Ratna many time and at many outlets, however today when we ordered idly chaat (small) at nehru place outlet, the quanity is not at all value for money. It was somewhere around 85 something and quantity was a small bowl (similar to the bowl which we normally use at home for dal). It is not at all worth. Either it should be stopped or the quantity should be increased or the price should be decreased to half for both small and large portions.
Taste wise, it was fine.

Ordered Masala Dosa at Sagar Ratna, Epicuria Food Court. And the taste was good and the overall look of the dosa platter was also pretty beautiful.

Well... everyone knows what this place has to offer.. but this time, I wanted to try something different with their filter coffee.!!

Since it was a snack time and I've tried almost everything on their menu, something interesting caught my friend's eyes...

I really am not sure if I have the name correct, but I think it was their special "Madras Idly Fries"!!

It took around 6-8minutes and in the meantime I started wondering, if it was a right choice.. I mean I didn't want our "coffee pe charcha" to be how bad our choice was..;-)

Turns out we had no regrets while leaving the place afterall !!(Sighs) 😀😀

So, it's golden fried Idlys cut in fries shape with the correct crunch and tossed in their spices.. Although we thought the spice level could be reduced as it turned out a bit salty for our
liking..😬
Overall, a light munch over a cup of coffee.. sounds like a perfect evening to begin with..

A dosa is made up of rice batter which has a lot of variety which is served with a lentil prepration that is sambhar and different kind of chutneys . They offer 3different types of chutneys white , red and green.
I ordered a mysore masala dosa which has a layer of a red masala covered inside the dosa and has a filling of potatoes in it . It has a great variety of dosa and uttapams .

With its outlets spread across Delhi and NCR, Sagar Ratna has become a byword for South Indian fast food.
It is probably the best place in town if you're looking for some delicious South Indian food in Delhi. The dishes that they offer are just superb and you can never get enough of it. The atmosphere and the service that this place offers can never be questioned. Best place to have a nice time with family. 😋😋
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

We really enjoyed the Mysore Masala dosa ,Onion Uttapam,Dahi vadaas & to top it up a really hot south Indian coffee at the end. Thanks to the Team of Sagar Ratna.👌🏼👌🏼

We had ordered a south indian thaali typically including 2 idlis, 2 Vadas ,sambhar and chutneys, upma and a dessert. The sambhar vada was too good. The dessert tasted too good and I've become a fan of south indian dessert.
Piyush Singal
I went here with my friend and we ordered rava masala dosa and badam shake. The taste was really awesome. I liked the place and order was quick. The rava masala dosa is one of my favorite and these people cooked it in such a way that felt of being in of south India and having dosa. Badam shake was quite impressive and the taste was good. I would recommend the same.
Amit Rupani
Had a masala dosa first. The Dosa was properly cooked and Sambhar was hot and tasty. The red and narayal chutney were adding more taste to it. Since went with family and everyone liked it, ordered a Paper Masala Dosa again. It was similar to Masala Dosa only.

Woth a try once. Service was quick.
Eman Rahman
Ordered a veg biryani from the place, it was so spicy that I had to return it after 2-3 bites. But when I went to return it, the manager refused to accept that it was spicy and kept on insisting that 'hyderabadi biryani is like that'- which it isn't. This is coming from a person that likes their food spicy. He took a refund, and gave me attitude for the same. Don't go there- food sucks and terrible management.
Khushboo
I am not much of a fan of this brand but i really liked what i ordered . First of all,the order was retrieved fast enough .Didn't had to wait much .i ordered one spring roll dosa (NEW to me) which was surprisingly good . It had lot of veggies.tasted similar to masala dosa with so much vegetables. The quantity was big enough for 2 people,in short it was good . And one idlli chaat (frnd's order) had some bits ,but it wasnt idli i am sure!! It was papdi or something .so that was disappointing but over all it was fine.

This one day I got really hungry and my maid didn’t turn up, after a long wait I decided to go Nehru Place Epicuria, I had many options to choose from i.e burgers , pizzas etc but like all Indian I chose to eat the ulitimate breakfast Poori/ Bhaji....

The pooris were rounded, golden brown and steaming hot and was served with aaloo done in typicalnsouth indian style with lots of kadi-part, It was finger licking good along with this it was seved with bhaji with thick vegetable stew .

I couldn’t stop and all ate all pooris.

Undoubtedly the best breakfast so far...thanks Sagar Ratna.
Shashank Kumar Nair
At last a Sagar Ratna that offers decent food.

Tried their medhu vada, well cooked and crispy fried... the accompanying sambhar could have been better though.
Kanika Gupta
This outlet is much better than in DLF Saket one. Best upma you can find only @Sagar Ratna.
Little costly according to food.

Food. 3.8
Service. 3.8
Hygiene 3.8
Menu. 3.5
You can never go wrong with them. If you are craving south Indian food you know they serve the best! I love there red chutney and always take some extra!!! Rawa Mysore masala dosa is what legends are made up off - must try!!!
The Food Therapist
nice and fresh food, tried their masala dosa which was really good and the sambar and all three chutneys was amazing.
keep it up.
wonderful food for South Indian food lover.
Khyati
If it's south Indian food, it's Sagar Ratna. Had Masala Dosa, good in taste. Nariyal chutney should be more thicker and can be made more tastier than it is. Overall good experience.
Anshu
I have ordered chettinad masal Dosa and within 5 minute i got it the taste was very delicious and unforgetable. The order taker front staff of sagar ratna was very good customer service provider.

Where: Sagar Ratna, Epicuria, Nehru Place
How much: Masala Dosa+Rice Idli= ₹290/-
Service: 3.5/5
Food Quality: 4/5
Value for Money: 3.5/5
Payment: Epicuria Card
This is the ultimate stop for the South Indian cuisine. We stopped by to have the very basic Masala Dosa and Rice Idlis and it was delicious. They even gave the refill sambar for free. The narial chutney was a little runny in texture but apart from that, it was a decent place to visit if your taste buds are in the dire need of South Indian food.
Follow us on Insta @efffnefff
Connect with us on
Facebook: facebook.com/efffnefff
Email: efffandefff@gmail.com

Hell there firstly thanks for complimentary meal on my review but I wish it was better as I expected. I was even disapointed from the beginning as delivery boy reached on my door he looked kind of lost and with the attitude that he is serving me free food which is biggest favour even when I said thank you to him he did not even use the curtsy to give a smile that he is happy to serve me. As far as the food is concern the uttapam I ordered was as thick as the pan pizza with too much salt I could see the raw bitter when I took a bite and dosa again too much salt not as per the Indian standard taste. And sambhar was just like last time the sambhar powder not finely grind that you can feel the treads of coriander and cumin, samber is incomplete without tamarind which I missed a lot.
The last point I wamy to add that my review is not at all to get free meal I just want Sagar Ratna to improve food quality and speared goodness of traditional South Indian food not bad experiences.
Tabish Shams
Really nice place place for pocket friendly dosas and other south indian food, located in epicuria which is the most family friendly hangout place in nehru place.

A very good option for family outing.
Anuj
The most pathetic dosa...and mind u that the chetinad special that they have on... it is like u are having dollops of salt. When we told the staff about the extra salt, they clearly mentioned that it is how it is...lax attitude and we dnt care behaviour. The sambar was like rasam. Bad experience...Nt eating here again

Sagar ratna is part of the Epicuria mall food court in nehru place .
I have eaten a lot many times at sagar ratna but the experience at this outlet was not so amazing.

I ordered rawa masala dosa , it was good but nothing excellent , dosa was not at all crisp and sambhar was not good in taste.!!

A good average fare !!
Saumya
Whenever i come to sagar ratna dwn i always ordered dosa from here i taste awesome just love the crispness of the food and fillings are also amzingly done
Nikhil
Whenever i think of dosas this place always comes in.my mind and on top list lice this place completely for vegetarian stuff i come here regularly
Prachi
My South Indian love brings me here. They dosas and idlis, they are worth trying and there sambar is tasty. And the price is also reasonable.
Amit Mathur
The food court at epicuria is good with great options and good environment. I was here pretty early in the day and wanted to eat something not very heavy and fresh. So went for dosa and dahi bada at sagar ratna. It was really good, fresh and served well. The dosa was noy very oily, there were 3 different chutneys and the sambhar was very tasty. Yhe dahi bada too was very good.
Gargi
This outlet is part of the Epicuria mall food court. I tried the masala dosa, idli, vada, upma and kesar halva for takeaway. It was obviously served with sambar, coconut chutney, tomato chutney and dhania chutney. The quality of the food was really good. The packaging is also great. All the items were so fresh and delicious! Esp.the halva, dosa and the chutneys. Loved it!
Dr Sumit Tiwari
Some items are good.. some are not.
While i felt like a fool to order so called cheese dosa, which barely had any cheese and was surprisingly filled with loads of capsicum in it, i have loved their rawa masala dosa and dahi vada & have had it many a times whenever i am at nehru place metro station food court.
Branded Gupshup
The name Sagar Ratna is enough to make you drool for South Indian food. With much expectations, we ordered Masala Dosa, Upma and Onion Uttapam from the Nehru Place outlet but where shocked to see the delivered quantity. The sambar was in a small box insufficient to go with all that we had ordered, the quantity of Upma was same as the quantity of the chutney. When we called them, they said that what is served in dine in and what is delivered, is different, which gave us a bigger shock. They did send us more sambar and Upma, but this kind of service was enough to disappoint us.
Beenasingh1905
Absolutely not up to the sagar ratna mark! Ordered dosas from this outlet few days back...big disappointment. Have been a sagar ratna fan since childhood.Used to love the def col one! This outlet needs to improve
Santosh Pal
It's a renowned name in the field of South Indian food chain however from last two years they came up with new menu and presentations. I tried upma and South Indian thali, food was good but nothing excellent. I wish they can go back to more original South Indian offerings.
Tushar Garg
awesome good court inside nehru place metro station. Food is as usual good.
Nice place to hangout. .
HBM
When you have south Indian on mind 1st place that strikes is sagar ratan. I don't experiment with my dosa's Alot. My all time favorite is rawa masala dosa . I don't like to have my dosa with sambar instead I have it with coconut chatani . I ordered for a combo which has my dosa and vada with sweet curd. Vada with sweet curd was mind blowing its my regular order from now onwards and dosa was good loved the red color chatani with it. Overall vada made my day.
Vikram Kakkireni
This is not one of their best outlets definitely!Ordered Rava masala dosa,it was tasteless and the sambaar was bad.I dont know if it is like that everyday but it was pathetic.
Akshay Nagpal
Good food is what we crave and good food is what they serve!! The plain dosa we ordered was really crunchy and tasted yumm! Sambar and chutney was great too!! The staff is really nice as well!!
Arnab Nag
Staff incapable of handling orders. They forget and has complete lack of coordination. There is no manager and orders and delivery is handled by the same guy. What a joke!
Ashish Singh
Honestly nothing great to write about them as they have become fairly repetitive and sometime inconsistent. Not disappointing but not great either.
Neither south Indian nor north Indian tastes authentic here. A good average fare!

Somewhere i feel this place needs to reinvent itself !
Phalodi
We order for delivery n its packing is good and delivery was also on time... I like the most its speciality idili fries its spicy n yummy....overall good for south indian food....!!!
Abhishek Kanodia
The epicuria food mall in Nehru place is a foodies delight and a good hangout Zone..It has a nice ambience with some nice seating arrangements which shall make u enjoy spending time with your partner. Now speaking about Sagar Ratna, a pure vegetarian restaurant, offers delightful south Indian and north Indian delicacies. We tried out dahi kebab, which was so soft and delicate and it just melted in your mouth. It was amazinng. The pao bhaji was also good.
Overall a nice experience for us here.
Mitu Puri
yesterday we had a Navratra executive thali. it was really hopeless, so oily. oil was just floating out of puri, saboodana papad, rice. very bad experience.this was not expected from sagar ratna
Aditi Tanwar
Sagar Ratna at Epicuria is in my frequent visit list now. Have been there many times. It is the first Sagar Ratna i have tried and it is indeed very good. I have tried their Rice idlis, Masala dosa, Rava plain dosa and Salted Lassi. I really like their Idlis..very light and tasty. Their coconut chutney is very good less watery. They also serve red/orange chutney. Not sure what it is made up of but i could taste a bit of tamarind. It is sweet and yummy. Sambhar is delicious. It is however a little watery. Masala dosa has light flavour to it..not too spicy as i prefer. Lassi is okay. I would recommend it.
Sukhmani Sakhi
Considering my prejudiced opinion of South Indian cuisine and a consequent dislike for Sagar Ratna, I was pretty impressed with this particular branch as well as the quality of the food.
Placed an order for home delivery which was received very professionally and courteously by the operator.
Order was delivered in stipulated time in good packaging and food was warm.

North Indian Thali surprised me every bit because it was much delicious and fresh than I could expect because I haven't had a great delivery experience from the other branches of Sagar Ratna.
It included Dal Makhni, deliciously prepared.
Shahi Paneer, sweet and rich
Veg Biryani which was wonderfully cooked and had a lovely smokey flavour.
Mixed Vegetable was wholesome and delicious.
Onion tomato raita was fresh and the rotis were soft.
Gulab Jamun tasted great too.
Definitely among the best Indian thalis I have had so far! Quality and quantity wise.

Mysore Masala Dosa is feather light, crispy with the quintessential southy flavours and a sweet spiciness. I do not like dosas much but I loved this.

All in all I had quite a good experience and I might just start ordering more willingly and happily from Sagar Ratna.

Cost/ person : Rs 300
Will I order again? Yes.
Anjali Sharma
Had the masala dosa.... N it ws very nice n tasty.... The chutney ws really good.. n the sambhar ws tasty not very much sour n spicy .... Bt ws light n tasty... Had the chutney and sambhar refilled once .mm the staff ws nice n polite :)

Since the chain got sold, the food's gone from bad to worse. Ordered oniom masala dosa and they sprinkeled raw onions on the madala ans served. Upon adking, wad told thats how we serve it! Watery and unsipid sambhar and sour coconut chutney. Avoid ...

Another Sagar Ratna in Epicuria, Nehru Place metro station. A not-the-typical type Sagar Ratna, this one is in the Epicurai food court. Walking distance from my office, this place is a frequented joint by me and the colleagues!
Well what does one ask for in a Sagar Ratna?! Yes you got it! The masala dosas, the idli sambhar, the vada sambhar, the dahi vada, the uttapam, the veggie thali, the buttermilk...
Well, mostly we order stuff from here and get it delivered to office for lunch when we arent in the mood to walk across to the food court. They have competition in the area from Southy and Sona Udipi Sweets.
I like their idlis and the rava masala dosa. I believe they also make some sweet dishes but I havent tried any yet.
Well just another Sagar Ratna. So I have one near my house, one near my office and if I could have a branch of Sagar Ratna inside my car, life would have been so complete!!!! Yaaawwwwnnn!
Thanks for being everywhere Sagar Ratna, but I need some space now alright!
Divya Kurian
Sagar ratna provides us with amazing south indian delicacies. The dosa we had had flavours of tamil nadu.. Then we had rasam and papad which is so so tasty...Eating that only one can fill their stomach..
AppetizingCity
The best part about this Sagar Ratna is that they cook their food the Karnataka style. Rather than the other Sagar Ratna's who cook the Tamilian style. The karnataka style has very less use of the Imli in their food. Their sambhar is very light. I had ordered Masala dosa, Mysore dosa and a plate of idli and wada mixed. The sambhar was soo good that we literally had 3 - 4 re fills. The staff here is friendly and greets with a smile. I am going to try the authentic Karnataka dosa next time I am here.
Saurap.somwanshi
Food does not justify the benchmark set by outlets of this chain.
Bhaswati Talukdar
I like South Indian food. And, I have been to many outlets of Sagar Ratna. This was by far the worst. The dosas were fine. I have tried the onion masala dosa and rawa masala dosa. The sambhar, however, was a disappointment. It was bland and too watery. The chutneys weren't too great either. Perhaps this is because the place is in a food court. But, I hardly think it should be an excuse. Anyway, the serving time was okay; no complaints there.
3/5
Khushwinder Singh
Went to Sagar Ratna nehru place yesterday, liked the food and staff was also pretty decent. Not only they were serving goodat the same time they were good in up-selling the items as well.

thx

Today I ordered one south Indian filter coffee which is my favourite in any south Indian restaurant. They wanted to serve disgusting so called filter coffee. They bringing bad name institution like sugar. My full sympathy with Mr Bavant
Veeresh Malik
Good attitude from staff ends up making a mundane meal a decent experience. While we were told that the combo meals are not available after 6pm (should then remove the menu and place a fresh menu?) the dosa they served us was passable enough. Somehow, associate Sagar with rolled up dosas, easier to eat, than the triangular flip which places the masala litterally on the serving tray itself.

Chutneys could be fresher and warmer, looked like they were pulled out of the fridge, and sambar was just about OK.

I guess a food court is not the correct place to go to for a decent South Indian veggie/Udipi style meal. Then again, with just a little bit of effort, this could be the top-end outlet if they just tried to make the product better.

Because, once again, the service is excellent.
Vinay
Nice location, all famous outlets at one location. Tried their achaari dosa which is new in their list. Not at all good....too much of salt makes it worse.
I Lo♥e Food
I am crazy for South Indian food, it is fantastic I think. Coconut chutney makes me go weak in my knees. Masala dosa and idlis make me happy beyond words and if any place that knows how to do South Indian right is surely Sagar Ratna Restaurant. The service is very very impersonal but it is very very swift at the same time. I love how everything is so fresh that you can almost inhale the freshness and let it become a part of your existence. Yes, it is no surprise but people like me who love south indian food are close to worshipping it, be it sambhar, chutney and uthappams. This place knows how to do it just right so visit it and become a follower.

Some time ago I visited Nehru Place for some business and afterwards I decided to go to Epicuria for a bite. What's different here ? Nothing that can't be found in any of their numerous other outlets located all across Delhi. Their only serious claim to fame is the consistent taste of their economical and filling South Indian fare. And that's what actually matters to their loyal patrons. The only variation to the monotony was the bright and colorful ambiance of the newly opened food court.

I wasn't in the mood for heavy spicy stuff (Karim's or Moti Mahal) nor did I want to eat fast food (KFC or Chicago), so I settled for a Rava Masala Dosa and a Veg Uttapam from this counter. The price is a wee bit on the higher side, but the taste and quantity more than makes up for this excess. The crispy golden dosa had a lot of filling in it and the uttapam was served in good quantity too. The sambhar had lots of vegetables in it and was spiced just right. A good filling meal for those in a hurry.
