Review Adyar Ananda Bhavan - Ooty (Udhagamandalam)

shibin muneer
The food was authentic and delicious. Special mention to the Vadas and badam milk. We tried a lot more and all of them were worth it. The service wasn't very great. We encountered rude behavior from a staff.
ARNAB ROY
Very good vegetarian food at a reasonable price. Extremely crowded. Waiting time is a little longer. They need more staffs to manage the rush and demand properly. Free parking available at the basement. Generally a clean place. Food is outstanding. Special Ghee Roast Dosa and Filter coffee are must to have. Overall a very good experience.
Arthana A.C
The food is less tasty as compared to the Adyar bhavan restaurant in Coimbatore. Went there expecting it .. Tried the ghee roast, uthappam, channa batura, All were just good. The service is good as they serve the food fast and hot. There is an attached snacks counter with varieties of snacks. Parking is limited. Rates are reasonable. The chutney and other sides were average.

Typical pure vegetarian A2B. Getting a seat and getting attended is something that you need to expect as delay. The food is good and feels authentic. Prices are premium, parking space is available on the rear. Pongal is something that tastes awesome, a must try I would say. One of the good one's I could find in Ooty.

It's the best option for vegetarian food at ooty. Extremely crowded as there are very few pure veg restaurants at ooty. We had to wait for an hour to get our order. Food is good. Filter coffee is the best here. U can get North Indian dishes, south Indian dishes, tea, coffe, chats etc. here. They have a parking lot in the basement. You cannot park your vehicle anywhere on the road where this restaurant is located.
Muhammed Unais
A2B is a famous veg restaurant with a hotel attached for premium accommodation, located in the centre of Ooty in commercial road. Hotel is busy yet serves tasty food without much wait. Ample parking area. Courteous staff. Good rooms. All the shopping experience just a step outside.
Sajeenath Beevi A.J
Actually we arrived there at 10.30pm. Even if it was their closing time, they served us hot food. We were the last customers. Really loved their service. Good food. Best service. Neat and clean. Child friendly. Baby chairs are available. Ample parking.
Saif Chunawala
Loved the Food here. Quite a Dinner Destination for a light meal after a hectic day shopping on the main street of ooty.
Swetak Amrutav
One of the great place to have breakfast and brunch in Ooty. Food quality is descent like other A2B. Price wise also reasonable like other branches. If you are visiting in weekends then expect a lot of crowd. It’s hard to get a seat and have to wait to order food and get it. Self service. If you are in car you can park it in their free parking lot. Bikes can be parked on the road and that is up to you.
Naomi Barretto
Way better than the A2B in Bangalore, according to my friend. The chutney assortments were amazing (I loved them more than the actual dish). They're also very generous with chutney and sambar as they leave a tub of it on the table, which is quite shocking bevause the places I come from are quite stingy with these sort of things.
Narayana Delampady
Very clean and the decor was inviting. Had to wait a while to get the attention of the waiter. The thali was served in quick time and the waiter was attending me with additional helpings. Food was good, but cannot be called great. Rest rooms were clean.

Actually the review is for the delivery the food we ordered today morning due to the reason of gas cylinder emptying... Ordered 2 dosa + onion uttapam+ medu vada... But really disappointed the food was very worst from A2B they have given the old sambar which was really tasteless n medu vada is really small which we can get better in local tea shop... But I can't accept this from a restaurant like this giving the old tasteless sambar to customers and which isn't hot too... Plz think before u give ur money very worst A2B I put all those sambar into my Dustbin <br/>"Note: review for delivery"

Simply superb 👍 <br/>I had pongal, ghee masala roast and coffee, just amazing taste, highly recommended place for breakfast in ooty, only down side is, it is little bit on the premium side for budget conscious people. Otherwise its a must try place for breakfast
Pankaja Pawar
I absolutely love this place! <br/><br/>It's situated in the main market area and serves delicious south indian food. Their filter coffee is amazing too. <br/>I recommend the following items <br/>Sweet Appam, Appam with coconut milk, Parotta Korma, mini thali and dahi puri. <br/>These items are absolutely delicious. I especially love their evening snacks. <br/><br/>This is a must visit place for every Ooty tour and it's pretty reasonable too. <br/><br/>Food - 10/10 <br/>Ambience - 9/10 <br/>Cost - 9/10

A2B is a must visit when in mysore , ooty. This place has amazing options for breakfast

I had cancelled the order of chilli mushroom right afrer giving the order while the waiter was taking the order. Then I ordered paneer tikka instead. We were served both paneer tikka and chilli mushroom. We said that we had cancelled the mushroom but the waiter claimed that we had not. Me and my friends clearly remember that we had definitely mentioned the cancellation. The waiter remained adamant and charged us of lying. The waiter was also very rude in behavior and we were shouted upon and insulted by him in the midst of the crowd. Later a senior staff member arrived and decided to take back the order. The rude waiter got even more infuriated and kept giving expressions of anger and disgust and kept shouting all throughout our time there. He kept talking to other staff in loud volume and insulting us. It was a terrible experience. I felt like stuffing in my food and leaving as soon as possible.

A BIG NO FOR THIS.. Went to have breakfast, came out without eating.. such a pathetic and downclass staff.. not just one, every staff is ill-mannered. Manager was also not available to take the complain. Should have checked the rating before going as this is a common feedback that I see for this chain. Even then no steps have been taken by management.. don’t spoil your mood while on holiday in Ooty by going to this place.

It was a good food experiance. I would say worth the price and really hygenic food but pure vegetarian. The variety of food available is great and lets not forget the sweets they are soo yum.<br/>The vada, idly, masala dosa and puri are quite good options for breakfast.<br/>The vada's are chrunchy and delicious, the idly dipped in sambar are soft, the dosa's are crispy and puri is not oily and light.<br/>Coming to lunch the thali are the speciality of the place which gives rise to different flavours and aroma. The paneer kadai with tandoori roti is just a good combo while gobi manchurian is dry and crispy which gives the feeling of eating snacks when moody.<br/>Well lets not forget the parata which are soft which go good with kurma.<br/>Well desserts here are amazing, the sweets are really famous across many places.....<br/>The sohan halwa here is too good to be a sweet yet not not sugary( light sweet), the cashew burfi is not sweet but good. The cashew pista roll just awesome. The gulab jamun, rasgulla, milk peda, mysore pak are wonders from around India.<br/>The best quality of sweets anyone after is here at A2B.
Sourabh Aggarwal
Worst serving staff. Least cooperation. Food is good.

I visited this place for lunch on a Friday. They do not serve idli during lunch timings which disappointed me, but they were kind enough to serve some dosas. We ordered a veg dum Biryani, ghee roast dosa, onion capsicum pizza and ended the meal with filtered coffee.<br/><br/>• Dum Biryani- The biryani was too spicy but the taste of the masalas was good. The quantity of vegetables were also good.<br/><br/>• Ghee Roast Dosa- One of the best dosas I've eaten. All the 3 chutneys with it were equally delicious, especially the red one. The sambar was also good.<br/><br/>•Pizza- Please avoid it. Go to Domino's which is a 2 minute walk if you really want a pizza.<br/><br/>• Filtered Coffee- A must have. Finish your meal off with it, you'll love it.<br/><br/>Overall this place was good with friendly staff who spoke hindi. I would love if they serve idli during the lunch time as well as clearly south indian cuisine is their speciality

A2b is an established brand in Chennai and the surrounding areas, when in Ooty one can't miss to visit this as it's centrally located and is always crowded for a reason, as they serve some quality food with clean environment and reasonable prices.<br/>They have a huge sitting like 50 odd tables covers and still one needs to find a space specially in weekends.<br/>Our Ooty trip of 3 days took us to this place like 4-5 times and each time we had some great food.<br/>South Indian food was quite tasty, though a little disappointment came when we tried our hands on some Chaat which was quite disappointing when compared to the Chaat served here in the north of India.<br/>We would recommend Dosa, Pao bhaji, uttpam, filter coffee, chole bathura and one can also try some mughlai food as it was decent too.<br/><br/>The location is in the main market and you can't miss this place. It opens quite early in the Mrng and still you will find people flocking at that time of the hour too.

Nice food and pure veg

Nice place in ooty have Indian-food I hade my breakfast all 3 days in ooty
Shweta Jain
The place is huge and serves different cuisines like chat,South Indian food, rice but their speciality lies in South Indian food i.e pongal,Dosa is a must try.Its clean and huge number of staffs are present. They have all homemade sweets, savories and pickles.A bit on expensive side but must try
Nidhi Singhania
Pathetic food. Don't try to ever eat Chinese over here. All money got wasted. Price is also over charged. Pizza was okaish. But Chinese items
Vivek Gupta
Food is okay. Not great. But service is extremely poor, a very rude person took our order. Not recommended. Makes more sense to visit smaller outlets in the area.
Krisdhina
Great ambience and great service. But always crowded.<br/>Have to wait so long in the queue for the table and as well as for the parcels. I had stayed in Ooty for 2 days and I have visited 3 times. Food was so so delicious. I could not able to choose particular food to highlight. Each and every item is tasty. I would highly recommend. Prices are high, but worthy

Barring the lack of clean restroom, which should be fundamental, everything is perfect. Great food and definitely value for money. I've been a regular here since 2015, good for a quick breakfast or a snack
Arvind Kesharwani
Need more choices, and in the morning should open before 7.30. It needs to either have a buffet service or faster serving time. It also needs to reduce mistakes in taking orders................................

I was staying in A2B and had a few meal here at the restaurant. One thing I must admit is that the food tastes was better than its counterparts in Bengaluru. Overall a good place foe South Indian and vegetarian food.

Food - 4/5<br/>Ambience - 4/5<br/>Price- 3.5/5<br/>Service - 4.5/5<br/>Hygiene- 4/5<br/>Parking- 3.5/5 ( Difficult to get in this area)<br/><br/>Fie Safety - No visible fire safety device.  No visible secondary exit. No visible blockers at exit point. Located on ground floor. <br/><br/>This place was a savior for us after a day of horrible food we got in name of experimentation with local cuisine. Well that is a different story.<br/><br/>We went twice. Once for snacks and once for breakfast. And we got standard mushroom Manchurian, veg fried rice, and south indian breakfast as we are habituated to get from A2B.<br/><br/>But the price looked a tad high compared to Bangalore outlets.
Tuhieats
The restaurant is situated in center of Ooty. The inside seating area is big. We went for lunch there. I ordered one veg fried rice and mushrooms Manchurian . The quantity was good and taste wise a2b is always commendable. Though the price little bit higher than Bangalore. The service was decent and quick.<br/><br/>
Yogitha Dinesh
Irrespective of which A2B we have always enjoyed the food. But it is highly prudent to have the service in the local language of that region,if not all there should definitely be supervisors available to coordinate with the customers regarding the oders and queries. This is of the highest concern and a burden to the customers.<br/>
Vidisha Acharya
On a trip I always try to eat local cuisines. And this restaurant fulfilled my wish of south Indian food.Service is quick and food taste is authentic.
Mythili Ravi
We always loved to visit A2B, but for the first time we faced much difficulty. Sorry to say this worst hospitality. Thank you selvi mam just bcz of you our dinning was some what good.
Shrikanth Bhakta
Been here for lunch. The place was crowded with demand and finding a table was difficult. The staff were quick in serving our order. The staff were friendly and provided with baby chair immediately.
Ruchi Sharma
got a table after waiting for 15 minutes and later waiter asked us to vacate the table. when said we want to speak to the manager, he told us to go ahead and complain.<br/>still waited for another 15 minute, and finally had to leave as there was nobody to take the order.<br/>please improve the service.
Karthik Shiva
If there was zero rating I would have opted that. And the rating is for highly arrogant staff. They act as if v r eating there for free. Never seen such hotel staff anywhere in India u have to call them 5 times to just get menu card . Person who take delivery just comes and hurl abuses at u if u ask them how long u will make us wait. While all others had name on their shirt this fellows dint have name on his shirt so that I could narrow down the person and hotel management also knows they r such staff in their restaurant
Grishma
Fried rice and noodles. Just few green chilli slices and noodles just had pepper . Hope the owner of this brand knows what food means I would have sue your restaurant for this disgraceful service . # owner of aab DO YOU SERVE SAME QUALITY N TASTE IN YOU INTERNATIONAL OUTLETS??? I am a sailor an I eat around the world this was a 1st time i would hv ever ate something so pathetic.
Chands1987
With respect to customer service this place is horrible. We have places far better in Bangalore with hundred times more crowd, but still it's managed much better. Here a customer has to chase other customers to catch a table. And there are no menus if you want to get a parcel. Managers openly say that they have complained to the higher management to get more menus printed however as of today they have only 5 menus to cater to 100+ customers walking in every hour.
Vinay Talagadadevi
As everyone knows about this brand, where ever you go across Chennai if we are looking for a tasty vegetarian meal A2B is the place, taste of the food is unbeatable, needs improvisation on Chinese cuisine, service is quick and prompt, very great food options under same roof,<br/>Food 4/5<br/>Service 5/5<br/>Ambience 5/5<br/>VFM 4/5<br/>
Saket Mujumdar
It's a good place to have food. Good quality of not very great in terms of taste. But you will find a lot of options. Service is also good. You can try it. Not very costly.
Abhishek Karwa
So they want to serve everything, but can't maintain quality in anything. Stale sweets, you can order pizza, but don't expect oregano or chilli flakes. Pav in pav bhaji has no butter on it, though it's overpriced like crazy.<br/><br/>All in all, not worth it. Rather prefer a place with limited menu, but can maintain quality.
Anshak Singhal
I loved this place even though it was crazy busy and we had to "search" our table in the restaurant which took us some 15 mins. It was a nice experience once we had a table to sit. Busy staff so they try their best to attend you but some delay is expected. The food was good and ambience was "lively" to say the least. Do try if you are in Ooty and don't mind waiting for fee minutes.
Rizwanamistry29
Always jam packed , <br/>Good food , best vegetarian adda always have loved A2B <br/>Loved the Gobi manchurian mmmm perfectly made <br/>And the tomato soup was 💕💕💕<br/>Service was little slow , average budgeted hotel <br/>A must try for the vegetarians
Bharani Krishna
One of the Popular restaurant in Tamil Nadu and good to see a branch in Ooty Too. This A2B in Ooty is located at Elk Hill and can see huge rush always and especially during the weekend there is no possiblity of getting table and one has too wait until people inside finishes up.<br/><br/>The taste here is ok,the ambience is good, service is good and the time taken to serve the item is ok and everything is smooth expect the lack of place. There are nearly 50 tables but that is not sufficient for the incoming crowd during the weekend.<br/><br/>Ordered Veg Meals,Mini-Meals and rasamalai for lunch and the taste was authentic and the the rasamalai was not as expected and it was just moderate. The meals consists of apalam, pickle, koottu, Poriyal, chapati, sambhar,Rasam,Kara Kuzhambu...and mini meals consists of spinach rice, curd rice, chips, pickle,Sambhar rice and koottu. The rates here are nominal and people can definitely go there for authentic breakfast,Lunch and dinner and car parking is available here at underground and sides of the road.<br/><br/>Everything went well expect the waiting for the tables and the road for A2B is closed for heavy vehicles on Saturday and Sunday due to traffic.<br/>
Mohit Meena
very bad experience.....they dont have tissue papers and spoon on tables....and they dont give unless u ask them.<br/>and the taste is very bad...poor service and high prices.<br/>simply no need to spend money here
Manjeet Srivastava
It's nice and trustworthy as always. The food is great with a lot of variety. The Mini Veg thali is awesome with three kinds of rice in just ₹120/-
Vishal Awasthi
This is a really bad experience for us. Menu is not that great, just the regular South Indian menu with limited varieties. Staff should be more helpful. They are just trying to serve the customer so that, they can send us and serve other customers. It's more because of very limited staff. Cutlery is not clean. We had to wipe it with tissues and we found that tissue turning oily and dirty as they didn't clean dishes in a proper way. We've ordered Thali with which they gave one sweet which is (not fresh) and tasteless. They are not concerned about if we want to order anything next, they just got the bill. And none of them is bothered about the feedback.<br/>
Iqram
Crowded and costly.... If you have time to spend, go, otherwise I'll not suggest to go there.. took order so late. For North Indian it is not a place to go.......
Udita Singh
Very very nice food. We came to this place to eat breakfast and ordered mini tiffin, idly vada combo and poori sabzi. Mini tiffin was fulfilling. The poori sabzi was ok. Above all the place offers good food at reasonable rate. It is a must visit place when one is in ooty.

Good south indian food in Ooty. I was little disappointed since the menu, prices, items none of them were different and it was like eating in Chennai.  I thought the food might be more tasty than that is in Chennai since the vegetables are fresh in Ooty, also they would be cheaper than in Chennai but nothing was new. <br/><br/>I and my friend ordered Chappathi, Podi masala dosa. The Chappathi was good and I felt Podi masala dosa was roasted and well prepared like in my area A2B and they could have made a larger one as it was quite small when comapared to what I had in Chennai.<br/><br/>I would recommend you to try this place only once if you feel you want to try the same food that you might be trying in your hometown A2B, else I would suggest you to try different restaurants and food in Ooty to get the best food.

Service: pathetic : 2/5<br/>Food : decent : 3/5<br/>Ambience : decent 4/5<br/>Seeets were not fresh since they were not made in house. Food is served cold though thre taste is nice. But how can u compensate for cold food.

Interior of the place is huge, with quite a wide varieties of food options available.<br/><br/>Loved the service here, staff is polite and quick to serve<br/><br/>I ordered paneer paratha and filter cofee.<br/><br/>Filter coffee is a must to try.<br/><br/>Paneer paratha was also pretty good with good stuffings, and not just paneer. Taste was pretty good

Ambience is ok... huge place so interiors can be improved but ok..<br/>Had many things..<br/>Raj kachori.. really tasty..<br/>Sev puri.. awsome.. dint miss surat n mumbai..<br/>Idli..super soft n tasty wid delicious sambhar n chutney..<br/>Upma was yummy too..<br/>Ghee dosa tasty..<br/>Rava onion dosa.. huge n tasty..<br/>Baby pepper fry was ok..<br/>Water melon juice tasty n fresh..<br/>Mini thali was yummy.. avial awsomest.. sambhar n sabji n evrything yum..<br/>Filter cofee yumm..<br/>North indian thali was tasty too.. biryani was yumm..<br/>Had snacks from sweets section.. which wer yumm too.. tathhee being my fav..<br/><br/>Negative things.. too busy.. waiters busy.. over crowded.. needs a bit cleanliness<br/>N yes most of the dishes r bt available soo prepared to listen a NO for ur dishes u crave for..<br/>But in all worth visit.. quantity n quality satisfying...<br/><br/>

When you're at Ooty....<br/><br/>A2B is the right place you'd need to be , whatever is the time is...<br/><br/>Though we had Dinner there.... N ordered Food randomly...<br/><br/>Coffee is a Must try !!<br/><br/>- Bhelpuri<br/>- Garlic Noodle

Had South Indian Thali at Rs. 130. The thali had 9 items along with rice & taste was amazing. The serving lady was quite polite and helpful. Keep it up A2B.
Sidhyika
I had been to this place 2-3 times in my stay in ooty. This place is worth for breakfast. They serves authentic South Indian breakfast. Must visit on ooty vacation for breakfast
Smartestidiot
Very pathetic and mismanaged staff. Would recommend the management to have a look at this soon.<br/><br/>We were a group of 12 people asking for a service in a section where we could be seated together. The server rudely refused wherein the service was 2 steps away. You will lose on customers if this rigidity continues. Moreso the person spoke in a very unpolite manner.<br/><br/>The same is reflecting in many other reviews if you notice...<br/><br/>PS- We walked out, no thanks to your waiters and managers rigidity and no sense on how to talk to a customer. Don't just focus on the food taste and quality, there is a parameter of service and hospitality as well in the food industry
Anusha Srinivasan
A2B always comes to the rescue.<br/>Was searching for a perfect place for the breakfast and there was A2B.<br/>Sunday was pretty over crowded. Couldn't find empty tables so the self service it was.<br/>Food was prepared pretty quick but the bill took us too much time.<br/>There was no green chutney the only disappointment.<br/>Other wise, the perfect breakfast spot<br/>Vfm-4.5/5

Only thing I was served here was attitude and filth. A2B being such a big chain never expected this kind of customer treatment from the staff, there was nobody to attend to, even after requesting to clean the table multiple times nobody turned to do the job. They should learn to manage crowd better. This is my second encounter with A2B on customer service. There were used plates near the pickle boxes, filled up dustbin and spill overs near the dining table no spoons whatsoever.
Jay Vora
Always lively and full of people. Might have to wait. Food is spicy and few items not available. Waiters are always rushing. However overall nice.
Vanshaj Ahuja
Located in the main market area commercial road, near signal. This place has north indian as well as south indian and chinese food. Ordered masala dosa, chhole bhature, veg pizza and chilli paneer. The salt was less in both pizza and chilli paneer. Chhole bhature were good. Veg pizza better have it at dominos nearby, as theirs isn’t worth it. Also took sweets - gulab jamun, imarti and karha boondi. Sweets are nice no doubt.<br/>Ambiance- 4/5<br/>Service-4/5<br/>Taste-3.8/5<br/>#GenuineReviewer

A beautiful restaurant located in Ooty close to the main market area.<br/>We visited this place on our last day of the trip which we regret, because had we known earlier, we would have definitely made more visits here.<br/>You get authentic south indian dishes here and served in the traditional style on banana leaf in a steel plate. The have open kitchen, and the kitchen is divided into various sections - dosa/uttapa section, rice section, juice section etc etc.<br/>Some items are normally priced while some seemed bit pricey. The taste is so authentic and good that you won't mind the price.<br/>We had the following :<br/>1. Idli - Normal<br/>2. Ghee roast dosa - Too Good, recommended.<br/>3. Onion uttapa - Good<br/><br/>The best thing is you get 4 kind of accompaniments with the dosas and idlis.
Jemisams24
Staffs are so rude can’t effort to go back to this stupid restaurant again, staffs are so untrained that they make mistake while taking order and still they will say we can’t do anything and even manager who doesn’t know what and how to speak.<br/>It’s request to owner of the place to keep visiting the place as it has a good name or else these kind of staff behavior with Guest will for sure put your restaurant image down and Ooty is very small place.<br/>At last very poor experience...

Having already tried A2B in Bengaluru we had high expectations from this outlet . But it was really disappointing . The golgappe , paratha korma and appam was good , except that all others were bad . The roti and sabji were not great and the chowmein was okish. The worst was the paneer chilly which tasted like paneer masala curry . Was really expecting something good but it was highly disappointing .<br/>The 2nd day when we tried the dosas . They were awesome but on the same day the appam was cold and not crispy . The pizza was fine. We loved the rava dosa and paper dosa but the Mysore masala dosa and masala dosa were a little thick . The best thing about the dosas were the 3 chutneys . The butter muruku and ellu muruku were wonderful. Hope that it improves and continues to delight the customers.<br/>

Great food, awesome service and a bit expensive. But worth every penny. Its a great place to spend time and has good ambience. Perfect family time place.

Little crowded despite of weekday still food was tasty n quick serviced. Rava dosa, ghee dosa roast and a2b special pizza with tea n coffee we ordered and it was quiet tasty .... ventilation system cld be better because smoke of food was causing lots of trouble to kids.

A2b needs no introduction.<br/><br/>Hence there presence in Ooty is whole heartedly appreciated.<br/><br/>This place is constantly buzzing with people even though they have a very large sitting capacity.<br/><br/>The main part they have their own parking at the basement as otherwise since this place is located in heart of the market, parking would be a major cinve6.<br/><br/>The food is always a great experience at A2B, the only point which went minus was, since they precookthe food and keep it at counter for ready to serve one may not always get the warm food as what happened with us. This concept is good for serving the food fast but may hamper the experience of the hot food expectations of the guest.<br/><br/>Apart from this no complaints whatsoever.<br/><br/>The sambar rice and the parotha korma was great to taste and one can definitely try apart from the vast menu they serve.<br/><br/>Had a good experience with the food and service.
Prateek Juneja
Taste at its best, very nice rava kichdi and rasmalai, tomato soup also doable.<br/>This is the best chain of restaurants visited by me in Tamil Nadu, almost every city has it.<br/>Coimbatore, Ooty, Puducherry and Chennai all these have this awesome place.<br/>For the North Indian guys it might resemble to Haldiram’s or Bikanerwala.
Shefali
This is one of the most famous and trusted brand in the south for having either south indian or north indian. Spread across southern india, this place did satisfy my taste buds that were craving both south indian and north indian food. We had rava dosa ,masala dosa, idlies, tea, stuffed kulcha, filter coffee, aloo paranthas, parantha Korma and soup. Everything was satisfying.
Parths P.v
People going jus by brand. It's too coslty and poor food. Had appam its not at all a appam very bad and costly. Ghee roast was good. None of the waiters understand tamil properly. Not everyone will understand hindi or English
Dharani Moorthy
The best place for dosas and coffee at ooty! 😍😍 Service is really bad and needs improvement. Taste is good. Ambiance is good too. Nominal pricing.
Gayatrimoorthy
Pathetic. No one comes to take your order. Quality of food is also not good. South indian food is not at all authentic.<br/>The mini lunch is horrible.<br/>They advertise but menu did not have most of the stuff.<br/>Too much hype !<br/>
Ekta Hinduja
I love this place n it's must for people who are craving for South Indian delicacy. I loved the filter coffee n South Indian thali. A must visit
Shreya Mota
One of the good places for authentic South Indian food. The sheera was out of the world. Sambhar rice must try. They serve dosa idli only for limited hours and that’s disappointing for Udupi. All in all a good and budget friendly place. Best part is it is quite clean.
Ahm2988
We went yesterday with many families. <br/>And all staffs are very rude and they behavior is vary very bad. <br/>And no service 😡<br/>And Many food items are not tasty like Dahi pury vegetable kadai many sweet dishes and aloo pratha and chutneys. <br/>And some foods are average like idly and dosa and ghee pak. <br/>
Sakthi Kumar
Why I gone there was for the ghee and dhall powder they are saying sorry sir we are not having the ghee or dhall powder disappointed. Bit other than that food quality was awesome everything. Don't miss the Rasamulai sweet.

One of the must visits for a nice South Indian tiffin in Ooty. One should not leave without having a filter coffee . In the middle of the town and easy to find with plenty of parking. Also must try is Venita milk shake <br/>
Ketan Gaikwad
There is no difference between manchow soup and hot n sour, and the taste are pathetic.Manager was refusing us to give bread crumbs.pepperoom starter was good.

Fully crowded most of the time.... Ordered filter coffee, ghee roast dosa and veg pizza.... Pizza was ok<br/>... Rest were great.... Go for South Indian dishes here....

We visited this joint on 14th June during the late evening time, 6.30 pm. I have visited this chain in Bangalore and was happy with the overall food quality. However, here the experience was a disaster. It seems almost all the food joints in most of the hill stations are more on making a fast buck rather than serving some sensible food.<br/><br/>We were a group of 6 adults so each ordered different items- Biryani, Pongal, Masala dosa and I ordered Alu paratha as there were no set dosa. The biryani was very plain without any gravy-based vegetables, the pongal quantity was tiny as compared to what we get elsewhere, Masala dosa were ok..<br/>My Alu paratha had practically no potato and the paratha itself was under done - no pickle was served - which is a standard accompaniment with this dish. <br/>The service was bad- the spoons were given after 2-3 reminders and what we got were the serving spoons which forced us to stretch our mouth like a crocodile !!<br/><br/>The pricing was high - as you can see in the menu given on this site, but more than that the quality and the quantity is a big dampener.<br/>AVOID. AVOID..
Pulkit Mathur
It is in the main market and a very busy restaurant. Normally the waiting time is 20mins. Not much of the choice in food. I had south indian thali and was very good. But i think good for one time only.

We had been to Ooty last weekend with our family and probably made the mistake every tourist makes in hope of getting a good vegetarian food which is to step into the A2B outlet on the commercial road. This outlet is no better than some of their Chennai ones. Usually the food is good and the service really bad in most outlets, but this one is worse in both the categories. <br/><br/>The restaurant is so easy to spot and is huge. Despite the big space, there is always a crowd almost everyone a tourist. We had gone for a dinner and had to wait for some time to get a table for 4. It took quite some time for us to attract a manager to take our order through his fancy tablet. He seemed utterly disinterested and didn't pay any attention to what we were ordering or to our questions. <br/><br/>Post the orders, it took ages to get our food. Even a pair of Idlys took more than 15 minutes to get served. Didn't even want to mention anything about the other dishes. Everything were totally poor and expensive. Absolutely worthless for the money you pay. <br/>We stayed 3 nights in Ooty and we had the dinner on the first day. Never wanted to step in here even for a quick breakfast. Honest advice to anyone visiting Ooty- Avoid A2B at any cost.

I would like to politely tell you that if you aspire for bad service with a garnish of arrogance and dash of NO ATTENTION on customer....you must visit this place. Have fun!

I came for lunch here, during my Ooty visit. I have visited another restaurant of the same franchise in Bangalore few years back and hence decided to give it a try. Here's my experience,<br/><br/>Ambience: It was crowded no doubt and ambience for just fine by traveler's standards or local standards. The menu describes it as a "Fine Dining" but clearly doesn't understand the meaning of the same.<br/><br/>Service: The apparently hi-tech staff carrying tablets to take order doesn't speed up the service though. with moderate number of tables occupied to serve, the service was slow and had to be reminded of the order.<br/><br/>Food: Most of the items on the menu were not available. Had to just have two types of rice. even the taste wasn't authentic enough to justify the time taken to prepare it.

The food is okay here while it is easily visible that heigene is not the primary concern here. And the fact that this place is generally overcrowded makes it a little lower on your go-to list.

Nothing different about this place. Same south indian joint as you would find in your vicinity. Recommended if you are feeling homesick and want to have the same masala dosa you have at home.

Being a North Indian you cannot expect the same taste in their North Indian thaali. The staff needs to be trained a bit more. Good portions of food and wide variety of the food menu to choose from. Taste was above average and ambiance needs a bit more attention.

It’s really crowded during peak hours and finding a place to sit is very tough. I was in Ooty on a tour and went to a2b for lunch . It took a lot of time to find a place . I ordered veg pulao, parotta and South Indian mini meals . The quality of food was very good . The service was good too even in such peak hours . A2b is there in almost all cities but in Ooty you can go if you want some quality vegetarian food .
