Review Dropadi - Palolem

Its just next to Palolim parking. We tried Grilled sea bass and crusty fried prawns. Crab Masala and desert was also good. Food..Service..Location..Ambience… Everything is excellent. A Must Visit Place.

I love this place. Whenever I visit Palolem beach, this restaurant is a must visit place. This restaurant is sea facing. I love their food and service. Highly recommended!

It was okay, I liked service but fries served with fish seemed old to me. Very nice view on sea and sand on the ground is quite fun. + they accepted card payments

I loved the concept! By the beach and sand for the floor. Huge windows for view just add to the atmosphere. Service vice, quick and responsive. Moderately friendly. Food was served quick and hot. Taste wise it was really good. Gown prawn curry was my favourite 🙂

The food is the best I've have ever tasted!!! Definitely the highlight of my trip. The waiters are amazing at recommending as well, they are super honest as well- they will tell you if what you are orderIng is too much by quantity. The places faces the beach and has dreamy location For sure a must visit

Good restaurant with pleasant beach view and good food. Good vegetarian options as well.

Having food from beach shack is always a great experience as you get to have a fascinating view while eating and if food is also good, then you feel more happy. We had fish finger and calamari golden fry, both were very tasty and the dip given were also perfect. Would love to visit again.

Great Stuff, delicious food also for vegetarians, huge choice, lovely sea view and good prices. All food i tasted(veg), was great, roti, naan and paratha are just awesome 🫓 Mango shake with ice cream just incredible. And virgin Pina Colada so tasty… Recommendation 200%.

The place is very popular for its sea food. It has a nice ambience and and located at the beach side with nice view. You can visit there with family or friends. Talking about the food there are a lot of sea food options and you can also order fresh catches of lobsters, crab etc as per availability. The food taste is average and the cost is much high. Visited there for lunch and the place was full. Average cost per person is 1000 to 1500.

The place has beautiful view of sea and good ambience. Lot of variety of seafood, though bit expensive. Service was super quick, however, a smile during the service would have been better.
Debasis Sahoo
Excellent food. Though price is on a bit higher side, the service & taste makes up everything. The serving person named Lucky was very well mannered & provided fast service. Will recommend to everyone in Palolem beach.

Dropadi: By far one of the best restaurants we visited -- the best in Palolem. The food was delicious -- the seafood was amazing -- and reasonably priced with lots of options to choose from. Beautiful and shaded view of the sea. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Fantastic place to eat.
Garima
One of the best beach shacks to have the sea food in Palolem beach. You can have great food and drinks with the amazing views of the beach. Everything we ordered was great. Butter garlic prawns and Peri peri chicken are worth trying.

5/5, a fantastic experience and the quality was absolutely top notch for the price. We got the tandoori veggies, veg xacuti, and fresh tandoori lobster. The tandoori masala was so flavorful. Veggies cooked to perfection (especially those mushrooms!) and the lobster was cooked perfectly, and served the best I’ve ever had lobster. A must visit.

We visited this place based on the recommendation by my colleagues at work, it was truly a good experience and we ended up going twice , for Sea Food Lovers u won’t be disappointed if u are looking for Fast food and Grills they serve it well, we tried Grilled Lobster, where in the Lobster was fresh and cooked properly , the fries were disappointing though i would blame it on the weather and the Place, since they can’t stay fresh since it is a Open Window Shack where ur food can get cold quickly due to the winds, Chicken starters were good too, Veg Starters were disappointing though, I would recommend this place if ur looking for a place to chill out and not worry about a gourmet food experience and have Sip your favourite beverage for longs hours and enjoy the cold breeze and the Scenic View this Shack has to offer.Palolem beach is just a Step away from the Shack and Paid Parking Lot is located closer to the Restaurant.

This place is on the beach. So we had our lunch with a sea view. 10/10 recommended.<br/>It's also not expensive and you can get proper GOAN cuisine here. I don't remember if I had the xacuti or the vindaloo but it was goooood.<br/><br/>Also, had the strawberry daiquiri as it was that days special.<br/><br/>Overall an amazing experience.
Dharani Pathi
I asked for crab masala with rice, but waiter suggested crab saga with jeera rice as it was day's special. It was tasty and amazing experience with sea view. Finally had brownie with ice cream, it was great. Felt fully satisfied and value for money.

The place was crowded but we were able to get seats.<br/><br/>First of all the location as reported on zomato is incorrect.and also the menu and pricing as depicted here is not accurate.<br/>All the dishes prices are almost 30 percent more than as quoted in the menu.<br/>We ordered dal makhani and kashmeri dum aloo and butter naan.<br/>Dum aloo was quite good but sal makhani wasn't that good

Awful food in a beautiful location! We choose this restaurant as it was on the beach front and busy ~ however, the food was so disappointing that I felt I had to leave a review... I ordered vegetarian indian food and my friend had a continental choice; my main course was lacking spices or flavour - like zero spice ☹️When I talked to the waiter he argued with me that it was meant to be like that... I explained I had lived in India for years and eaten a lot of indian food, but I had never had a dish so lacking in spices EVER! He then started talking to me quickly in Hindi which i felt was very rude (& a sad attempt to undermine me) as our previous conversation was in English... plus I speak punjabi not Hindi. I was so exasperated by his behaviour that I simply sent the dish back 😠 I was not offered a replacement, so had to eat an aloo paratha for dinner! 😟 This also was so bland that I asked for achaar to provide some flavour and I had to ask 4 times also for dahee before it was brought to me... very very poor service! My friends chicken dish looked awful with pasty chicken gloop, handful of fries and white rice, standard vegetables - she said that it arrived cold, tasted completely bland and was gluey texture... she left over a third of it.The only saving grace was the mango lassi - it was deliciousThe only recommendation I can give is get a new chef with taste buds and explain to the waiters to find solutions to problems rather than arguing with customers please.

Good restaurant with decent view. Food was good. We had daal tadka and jeera rice. Which was good in taste. Food was fresh.<br/><br/>We also had hot and saour chicken soup. It was yummy. Staff is very polite and service is good. Restaurent is very near to market area of palolem beach and so the view to the beach is not so good.<br/><br/>Overall good experience.

This was a nice place back in the day. I went here in December 2019 with family and had the worst experience with the waiters. I visit this beach once in like 2 years or so and the go to place for me was this restaurant. This visit I was at this place for quite sometime and paid a big bill too. Once done we wanted some ice-cream and the waiter was not just rude but plain gunda as he said he wouldn't clean the table. I went to complain to the manager and looks like they wanted to gang up on me as we were there for sometime. I had made a bill of close to 5k so was not sure why would someone be mad that customers are spending time at their restaurant. Now that I read the reviews I understand that they only want customers from out of country so if you are an Indian then you are not welcome. I talked to the manager and took the number of the owner to inform him of the mess the waiters were causing. By the time the waiters had called the local settlement people (these are the local gundas who come to settle disputes). The owner never picked the call and I went to the manager again to complain. By this time some 8-9 waiters surrounded me and one of them started to instigate me from behind saying come on the backside let's settle this. I sensed what was going on and just left the scene by just informing them how rude their behavior was but thats it for me! I will never return to this place. I highly recommend people to be very careful when visiting this place! I took the card and the names of people who were involved with this and posting with my review so others can be careful of these people!!

Food with good view . What else you need to spend time..<br/>Well known for their seafood .<br/>Right at the entrance of Palolem beach . Easy to find .

Food was too bad. Even quantity wasn't up to the mark. Everyitem we ordered was pathetic. Staff wasn't polite either.
Deepali Parida
A beautiful shack at the entrance to the beach. The floor is covered with sand giving you the feel of a beach. One can enjoy the food listening to the waves crashing on the shore. We ordered for French fries, masala papad, masala peanuts, veg crispy fried, hummus with garlic bread and veg hakka noodles. The food is gud here. Will come back next time for their tandoori n grilled items.
Hersh
This is a sea facing restaurant with a concrete roof. Having said that, there is cane furniture and beach sand on the floor to bring the beach closer to you. We had the tikkas here and were completely taken aback. Apart from the tandoori preparation the plate was also loaded with crispy potato wedges, lemony salad and lip smacking chutney. Everything was perfect...right from the flavours, portion size, variety on plate, fresh ingredients and lastly, pricing. Highly recommended and a must dine restaurant in Palolem!
Manali
This place is truly a heave for sea food lovers. They have a wide variety of fresh sea food and they offer customisations ad pet your taste.<br/>I tried prawns masala fry and tandoori calamari. They serve this with amazing salad and green mint chutney.<br/>Their service is quick and this is a great place to have some beer along with flavourful sea food overlooking the beach.
Bimal Raj
Went there after being recommended by close friends. It’s right on the beach. Has a decent ambience Like any other popular shack. <br/><br/>Didn’t like the food too much. Have had really delicious food in Goa. Especially seafood. Felt the pricing was slightly on the higher side. Staff is impersonal. <br/><br/>Definitely not our first choice at Palolem.
Renjith Menon
Strategically located on the Palolem beach with amazing sea food. Don't expect service to the level of pampering but the sea view and the quality of food more than make up for it.
Ashwini Singh
Excellent hangout place on Palolem Beach. To start with, beach IS the ambience. Too much crowd, you will have to wait. But it's worth the wait. Try Italian food here such as Lasagne and Pasta. Chicken with pemento sauce was a tad garlicky. Chicken fingers and fish fingers were crunchy, well cooked. Overall a wonderful experience.
Maheshwar Singh
The place just beside the palolem beach with nice beach view. The crowd is nice mostly foreigners. No music is played.<br/><br/>Taste 5<br/>Ambience 5<br/>Music 1<br/>Service 5
Faizaan
Great crab soup and tasty crusty prawns. Fish peri peri was served with lemon rice which could have been replaced with plain rice. Good and helpful service. Banoffee pie was disappointing.
Sonal Vartak
The location of this restaurant is just perfect. Right near the entrance and on the beach. It gives a perfect view and a perfect place to binge after a swim.<br/>The restaurant was pretty crowded even in off season during lunch time. The rates are pretty costly as compared to the portion size.<br/>What we ordered:<br/>🔹 Chicken Stirfry noodles<br/>It had more of Stirfry veggies. The quantity was disappointing. The taste was average. The egg flavor was good. After sometime there was some fishy taste to this dish.<br/><br/>🔸Chicken Gosht ❤️<br/>This was pretty amazing. The taste was awesome. I think this restaurant will serve you North Indian gravies best than regular Chinese. This dish was amazing.<br/><br/>🔹 Chocolate Milkshake<br/>This will definitely quench your thirst. And will give you the required amount of energy post your swim.<br/><br/>🔸Sweet lime soda<br/>Pretty average. The taste wasn't that great.<br/><br/>The servers are polite but quite off. The service is average. Not happy about the pricing.

It was the best fish soup ı ever had but cant say the same for fried calamarı and humus bcs calamarı was too thin and ı just tasted the crispy part and humus had too much cummin, stuff was amazing
Ayan Vishnubhotla
Have been visiting this restaurant whenever I visit palolem. Some how i have a soft corner for this restaurant. I love the food and view.
The Big Fat Cat!
It's a cool place to hang out though. I had a dog sitting under the table giving me company.
Satyendra Shaw
Seafood salad was excellent, along with that I had deep fried prawns and fish fry all of them were excellent. Staffs though cordial seemed bit lazy. Otherwise everything was very good.
Apoorv Srivastava
Staff was not polite, food not so good, overcrowded, waiting time is high 45mins+, service is slow. there is another restaurant next to it, Silver Star (way better than Dropadi & same price) which is not on Zomato or even Google, staff is not polite there as well, but food is better & is not overcrowded, same beach view from Dropadi & Silver Star
Tejashwini Yadav
Worst service ever. Food was average.<br/>The place is too crowded and the waiting time was more for food compared to the other shacks. Not worth the money.
Divya
Don't visit this place at all.. I don't know why is it crowded. We were very hungry and they took 20 min to order and one hour to get our order.<br/>The service is the worst. They were very rude and not responded when we called them. The staff was busy watching cricket match on TV.<br/><br/>The food is expensive and not worthy too.<br/><br/>I don't recommend this one at all.
Alphawolfsp
We a family of 4 went there for lunch. Crowded place probably catering to tourist and not us local Goans. The waiter was curt to the extent of being obnoxious. Due to which, I would say its more of a dhaba than a restaurant. However, the food was good and the place is right on the beach, overlooking the sea. We ordered fish tikka platter(1200/-) and crab masala(700/-). Its definitely not a place for dine out, just have food and get out.
Mayuri Desai
It is a great family shack on palolem beach<br/>With beautiful beach view in front...<br/>And good vegetarian food...<br/>Having lunch here was nice experience it is one of the best at palolem beach
Fernanda Salomão
Best place ever... amazing food...the best ever food in Palolem...<br/>The place is very nice, the food is incredible and the Dropadi team are very well trained...
Sagar Rahurkar
A "family" shack on Palolem beach. We went for lunch, it was full of all uncle's and auntie's and kids. Don't know about dinner time. (This is just to let everyone know that, don't go with high expectations of a hippie party place.)<br/>Ambience is nothing great. Being a shack, it is on the beach and that's it. Beach is full of Indian crowd, people roaming around in formal clothing and shoes.<br/><br/>Service was really nice despite reading some nasty reviews.<br/><br/>Food: We ordered Watermelon feta salad, Butter garlic prawns, and cheese & garlic naan along with some beers.<br/><br/>Butter garlic prawns was a clear winner, 8 pieces of prawns grilled to perfection.<br/>Naan here is 4 pieces, so order accordingly.<br/><br/>Overall a nice place for a meal (if don't expect a hippie atmosphere).
What's In Name
One of the best shacks on Palolem. It is perfect in every way possible. Food presention of food, ambience, drinks everything is amazing. Located on one of the most beautiful location. Must go here. Veg, non veg and sea food all are good
Priyanka
Only place in Palolem with a good sit down service and great tasting food. Reminded me of Britto’s on Baga. Their chicken roganjosh made our boys come back for more the next day.

<br/><br/>There are very Less Restaurants in Palolem that are registered on Zomato. I think Restaurants here aren't using Zomato as much as in Delhi.<br/>Dropadi topped the List of Restaurants in Palolem. So definitely it could not be missed.<br/><br/>One of the Decent Family Restaurants on Palolem Beach. We went there for Dinner. The staff is courteous & helped us in recommending Dishes.<br/><br/>We ordered -<br/><br/>1. Goan Shrimps Curry<br/>2. Virgin Pina Colada<br/>3. Veg Sizzler<br/><br/>The Food was Nice and the portion size was appropriate.<br/><br/>The only negative point what i felt was that, they Dont have any Outside Seating Arrangements like other Shacks on Palolem Beach.<br/><br/>One Good thing is that, They accepts Cards.<br/><br/>Overall a Good Place to Enjoy Delicious Food, while enjoying scenic Beauty at Beach.<br/><br/>If you are a Sea Food Lover You Must Visit This Place !<br/><br/>

Being a vegetarian sometimes it gets really hard to get a tasty veg food in Goa. But this place will not disappoint you. Palak paneer was really tasty better than most of the places I have eaten. It's texture was not of slurry kind but more of mashed palak which I liked the most as it resembled the palak paneer my mom cooks. Paneer parantha was really crispy and had uniform spread of paneer even in the corners. Most of the times people forget about roti, butter naan here was so we'll cooked, had an apt amount of crisp and softness, it was neither rubbery nor hard. So all in all great experience.

*Tuesday Problem- Simply Vegetarian Day*<br/><br/>Shocked? You will really get delicious vegetarian food here....<br/><br/>One of the family restaurants set aside beach. You enter Dropadi by keeping your feet on the sand which stays with you while having dinner too.<br/><br/>This connects with you to the beach and gives a real feeling of beach side hotel.<br/><br/>@drinks Virgin Mojito was very nice. Apt lemon and sod. Fresh mint that soothens your mind and fill up your gastric juices.<br/><br/>At main course we had punjabi style food like Kadhai Paneer: Perfect amalgamation of paneer with related vegetables to make mouth watering kadhai paneer.<br/><br/>Dal Tadka: A perfect dal that was make by steaming it accurately, coriander for the look and properly separated each grain, this is what I like<br/><br/>Lacchha Prantha: A layer of and Tandoori Roti.<br/><br/>Each and Every dish was really yum and certainly homelike.<br/><br/>Go around to this beach side restaurant and enjoy the delicious food by enjoying scenic beauty.<br/><br/>
Anirban Bhaumik
One of best food joint in Palolem beach. Been there for 4-5 times. Food quality is excellent but hospitality is below ok. Must visit for good food.
Ambuj Singh
I have been back to this place for the second year in a row.. This place never disappoints you. Must Visit place for awesome food if u r at Palolem. Plz ask the staff to suggest you some mouth watering dishes.. They won't disappoint you.
The Meat Hunter
Sad experience.. extremely rude waiters..as if they never wanted us as customers..i would stick my neck out here and say that only foreigners are welcome here..there was an offer running in all the shacks the previous day on cocktails..so we go there and politely ask them if there are any offers..got a cold look from the waiter and he said and I quote" menu dekho"..<br/><br/>Start like that ensures an uncomfortable experience..we came out disappointed and angry..food was ok but bitter behaviour spoils the best of things..
Vineetha Kammath
Beach facing cafe on Palolem beach. Very crowded!! We went to this place for lunch. Ordered king fish masala fry, butter garlic prawns, fish xacuti and plain rice. The king fish was very yum, fried perfectly. Fish xacuti was also coconut based goan style curry which went pretty well with plain rice. Ambience is good because its beach facing, courteous staff. They help you to choose the fish/prawn and price it based on size and availability. Place accepts cash and card. There are no qualms about seating.
Saba Khan
Dropadi is the only beach side shack which serves delicious food. The crowd here would bear witness to the goos food.<br/><br/>We ordered fish and chips, which was really crispy, not too oily and well done. One of the best fish and chips I had for sure. Also the prawns & squid curry with rice was delicious.<br/><br/>Service may be slow on weekend or peak season due to full house. <br/><br/>Overall this place is a must try, if you are in palolem.<br/><br/>Food 4<br/><br/>Ambience 4<br/><br/>Service 4<br/><br/>Cost 4<br/><br/>Overall 4<br/><br/>

I made the biggest mistake going to Dropadi.. actually we were in palolem so I was browsing some good places to eat near on Google.. so came across this place..<br/>First impression was the attitude of the waiter/steward is pathetic.. they were very much courteous to the foreigners and left us isolated suddenly after 10/12 mins a Waiter appears and asks us to place the order.. until then no one has offered us a glass of water..there were no tissues on the table.. no recommendation from their end..<br/>We had to ask for everything.. rather you keep a self service cafe..<br/>When we asked for pomfret fry he said it is for 1700 I was like did I asked for the price..<br/>Whatever we asked he was quoting the price tag too.<br/>The restaurants name should be changed to Dro price tag..<br/>(Everything was so expensive) what for ?? Only name, no service no quality,, no guest satisfactory..<br/>Prices are way too exorbitant..<br/>Pathetic Service..<br/>Will Never visit this shitty place, mofos spoilt my evening in Goa...<br/>Wouldn't recommend this place at all...
Animesh Sonkar
Place is great but the waiters are so rude. A place which boasts about hygiene to the level of cooking food in mineral water the waiter cares less about an unhygienic dog sitting next to patrons. When asked to shoo away the dog the smart waiter replied he is not saying anything then why should we shoo him away.. Awesome numb mindness service. All thumbs down.<br/><br/>1. If you want to eat the sweetest uncooked chicken vindaloo visit this place.<br/>2. They unsweetened the vindaloo by green chillies fried in curry..simply wow.. who hired the chef and how did this place become upscale.
Rishi Sen
The chicken biryani and mojito was great but the total bill could have been 200-300/- lesser went to the shack reffering to to the old menu prices. Please update the menu on Zomato.
Arnav Patra
Brilliant location facing the beach. However, the food is nothing special. The food portions were small, and pricing on the higher side. Service was average, with the servers extremely disinterested. Lovely view of Palolem beach though, and a nice spot for sunset.
Aishwarya Dixit
Stayed in Palolem for three days and had my lunch and dinner for all the three days in this restaurant only. Must taste food: cheese frittters with basil, lasagna (both veg and non-veg), Paneer Tikka, sauted vegetables with mozzarella, spaghetti and last but not the least brownie with ice-cream was like the cherry on top. Also special mention to the sweet chilly sauce provided with cheese fritters. Thank you for the awesome service.
Ruchika Dalvi
I guess pictures will speak more than words for the first time. I wud recommend.<br/>Its crowd n hustle n bustle but if u r a foodie..n a sea food lover.. u must go.. Cocktails are good to start from...
Ekta Rathi
Went there for a Friday afternoon breezy lunch. Being on the beach, Dropadi is one of the most loved shacks on Palolem beach and for good reason. Priced fairly well, the food and service doesn't disappoint. Do try the cheese fritters with basil to kickstart things!
Suvasree Neogi
Been there few days ago. Very popular ang bzy sea side shack. Bt only negative thing is they don't have any outside sitting arrangements. Bt sea facing sitting presents. Now about the food. Food worth money. Vary tasty and fresh sea food and cooperative staffs. We went there consequently 2 days for dinner. 1st day we ordered butter garlic tiger prawn. They show us the fish they had and we choose among them, next we ordered sea food biryani, awsome food plenty of sea fish, 1 glass of mocktail pina colata and cocktail pina colata. Next night we ordered prawn vindaloo, prawn xacuti, plain rice and again sea fish biryani, well i must say every one should try xacuti bt the vindaloo i personally not prefer.<br/>The atmosphere is cool.
Rohit Sharma
Visited Goa with my colleagues. I ordered vegetarian 'Lasagne with spinach' and I confirmed with waiter twice. When they served the order. My friend who eats non-vegetarian food, Identified that they served non-veg Lasagne instead of veg. After complaining about it there manager & hotel owner talked in very abusive manner. Owner of the restaurant started showing his gangster power and reach in goa. This is disturbing was highly distributing and pathetic experience.
Sarita Furtado
Place exactly at the beach entrance. Highly overrated. Average food. Expensive compared to other restaurants. Not for goans. Didn't like any of the dishes
Nilabh Banerji
We had a very poor experience in terms of the service. It almost felt like they were doing us a favour by serving us food..<br/>Even though the food was pretty good, the service left a bitter taste in our mouth.<br/>We ordered a seafood pasta and reminded the waiter twice that we would like Spaghetti and yet he brought us Penne.<br/>
Sujit
The food is great. The ambience and service fall below expectations in Palolem !! Must try the sea food and the ice cream-fresh fruits combo.
James Kirkby
Went there for dinner. Brilliant fresh tiger prawns and side order of baked potatoes for a fair price. Staff helpfull and polite. A must go in Palolem beach.
Maithili Tagare
This restaurant has a nice ambience. And the food is good. But the major problem is that if you're not a foreigner, you are not going to be entertained at this place. We went here to have a good time after having read the reviews but were thoroughly disappointed at the way the staff treated us. Courtesy is mostly extended to foreigners and if you're not one don't expect any service. The staff will make sure you just wat and leave.
Neo Sagar
Sincerely i have no idea why they named their restaurant 'Dropadi' which is from Mahabharata character. Sincerely it's a small restaurant. We had lunch & drinks. We ordered French Fries which was ok. For starters it was Chicken Lollypop which was also ok. For the main course we had Dal Tadka with Butter Roti followed by Jeera Rice & Finally Chicken Biryani. The above vegetarian main course was ok but 'Chicken Biryani' I must say it was like I am having sime kind of "Dal-Khichda" really it ruined my mood & my taste. So an average in terms of food. It's an ok place but please di sure to ask the waiter before you order.
Abhijeet Chaudhari
We are there for lunch. Veg Food was nice, but chicken was terrible. Also drinks were not good. Ordered bacardi white rum, but it tastes very difference.
Shubham Agarkar
For the quite laidback afternoon lunch. Get a table on the deck near the ocean. Dig your feet into the sand and marvel at the vista in front of you. Grab a Mexican mint mojito while you are at it. Haven't tried the seafood here but I can guarantee that it is one of the best vegetarian options in Goa. Portions are huge and filling.<br/>I keep going there again and again
Foodie Panda
First stop as you step on to the beach. A very organised one unlike other shacks. Indian continental seafood, you wouldn’t be disappointed, but wont be surprised also. I ordered prawn masala and malai kofta. Both were decent, little uniformly low on salt. This is on a deck, with a good view of the sea, but certainly for the night life and vibes, there are better shacks. I have always seen this packed though, so must appreciate the service and the way they manage crowd.
Abhisar Bose
Dropadi resturant has a such a beautiful location and nice simple decor. We ordered mutton for lunch and there was none. Then we ordered goan food - prawn ambotik and fish xacuti and surprisingly there was nothing Goan about these goan specialities. They tasted a cross between North-Indian masala, gujarati and marathi! May be they have good North indian food. Finally my taste buds wasn't happy with dropadi food. of all tbe food we ate in palolem, dropadi was the worst! Sorry This is not hate review, it is a fact.
The Food Fantasy
We were staying next to this place and this is the second time we visited food was decent, price was bit higher could be coz December is expected as season and you see lots of forex we tried kingfish rava fried, though I have asked for Tawa fried and git rava instead, in tomato mentioned try crab marsala with shell, but got cleaned crab meat masala instead, which tasted like crab makhani, rest my daughter liked Lasagne and others liked the food ambient, service could be better for Indians as well
Amrin Khan KK
It was an amazing experience for me and my husband.we ordered fried prawns and fries at first.fried prawns was soo good and highly recommended.both of us loved the food and only to have it again we had dinner from there it self.for dinner we ordered basil tomato soup which was mouthwatering and chicken tikka was really good along with the fried prawns.

THE place to visit when down south! The food and the ambience is just perfect! <br/>The staff is very polite and the food is out of this world! Must try the seafood! <br/>Situated right at the palolem beach! <br/>
Abhishek
Food was descent and ambience awesome(must visit around evening/night for better ambience) but service was not up to the mark. The location is close to the beach with the flooring covered is sand, I liked that personally.<br/>We tried- crab soup, hummus with garlic bread (surprisingly it was brown bread), butter chicken, capsicum masala, laccha paratha and in desert ice cream with carmelized banana.<br/>Only downside was the service it seemed as if they didn't care for Indian customers.
Abhishek Sheth
Best place to have food at palolem beach. The location is such that while having food one can view the beach sit back and relax.<br/>Service is prompt they cater each request of yours with a smile and food is too good to be true.<br/>Full 5 starts for the restaurant.
This Is Aga
A place looks a bit like a canteen but it's clean and neat. The fact that is most of the time full can show that they serve good food (or maybe it's just because it is a first restaurant next to the main beach entrance). All the fishes that we were presented were fresh and looked like they were caught the same day (glossy eyes, no bad smell). Their pricing is also pretty good. For a starter I recommend crispy calamari served with 2 different sauces. Seafood soup need a bit of improvement (I tried a seafood soup in a couple of restaurants during my Goa stay so I know you can get a better one). From main except from any of the fresh fish, I recommend prawn masala.

1. Very Rude and unprofessional waiters. I tried calling the waiter for taking an extra order and he kept saying food ia coming. Also misbehaved with us. Never gave a straight answer to our questions.<br/><br/>2. There are a lot of reviews about butter chicken of Dropadi which the reason I decided to try it. It was the worst butter chicken I have ever had in my life. They had boiled chicken in sour gravy.<br/><br/>3. We ordered harayali kabab. It was rubbery and felt like they forgot that it was harayali tikka and made something else and just applied green chutney above.<br/><br/>4. Order fish vindaloo. It was a curry where you can separate out onion, tomatoes and curry. Very badly made curry.<br/><br/>5. A few sea food dishes we ordered were so bad that o cannot remember what I had.<br/><br/>If I could have given 0 I would given them zero. Wasted money and time here.
Ritika Agarwal
Hooligan staff, no manners, staff says ghings like go to the next restaurant, looked ready to fight.<br/><br/>Although this is the highest rated place but please go at your own risk, high chances of you meeting hooligan staff.
Deepali Giroh
The one thing that pissed me off was the behaviour of the staff towards their guests, they were highly unprofessional, mean and rude.<br/>The food was good, the quantity was satisfying. <br/>We ordered chicken biryani, penne pasta and shakes.

Food was superb!!!<br/>Sea facing<br/>Chicken Harissa, Chicken Masala, King Crab,<br/>Cheese garlic naan<br/>It's not a very sophisticated restaurant but the beach view makes up for it.<br/>Would have been a five star rating if they would have served the drinks chilled.

A decent hotel, sea facing. U get the beach feeling as their is sand on the floor. We ordered kinga beer, peanut masala, chicken masala n cheese garlic naan. Beer was nt chilled, peanut masala was made from nuts widout making them crisp. But Harisa Chicken and chicken masala is tasty. Cheese garlic naan is also good. The service gets a 5* rating for a courteous behaviour. Overall a good place to visit.

Food was good, there were quite a lot of options to choose from, for Both Vegetarians and non vegetarians.<br/>Its a shack on the palolem beach, nicely located to chill with the view of the beach while you eat!<br/>Service was good, prompt and quick. The waiter was patient, friendly and helped us with his suggestions :)

Great food and situated on the beach. Lots and lots of scenic beauty. With a great music playing and the sound of water flowing in front of you, it's the perfect setup. The staff is courteous and the food is hot and fresh. It's an amazing place to chill after a long day with a glass of wine or coke😋

Goa, during monsoons is a beauty...and the beauty increases even more, if you happen to visit the South side of Goa...away from the hustle of the North...<br/>Situated at a hand's throw from the beautiful Palolem Beach, Dropadi offers an excellent view, especially during the night, when they light candles on the tables, and you can have your dinner watching the waves crash on the shore...<br/><br/>A dinner at this place, if you happen to visit Palolem is a must...<br/><br/>I deducted 1 star because I felt the cocktail taste was too strong to be counted as a proper cocktail...and during my 2nd visit, the oil in noodles was a bit too much...This may have been a one time thing, so won't generalize about it...The food in my 1st visit was exquisite, no complaints there...

A good place to relax on the palolem beach. Food is quite good. I particularly liked the rava fried prawns. Definitely worth a try if you are around.

There are many places in Goa where you can get amazing food but nothing Will ever, ever , ever match up to this place. My god I have been to goa many times but not once I missed to have lunch here ... The food served is so delicious that I ended up having lunch for about 3 hours! Trust me I am not kidding at all! Sex on the beach and Russian coffee are the best!!! And you can try any food here because trust me you'll never be disappointed! I do not recommend any specific food here , I recommend you this place because it's too satisfying to miss it! When in Goa do come here at least once!

If you are in palolem then this is the place where you go for food. Nice sea view, near the entry. I had been to palolem twice and both time I had food here.<br/><br/>Food and drinks are awesome. Tried lasgne and sizzler both were awesome. Even good taste in Indian Curries.<br/><br/>Only thing is your order might take some time because it's busy place.

It is located right on palolem beach.<br/>A perfect sea facing shack for dining.<br/>Seating is not very comfortable, but with the ambience and the drinks you tend to forget about it 😬. I surely would love to visit this place again.
The Bearded Gastronome
Visited Palolem a few days before the end of season. Was sad to know that the places I had bookmarked were already closed for season. So the next good place was Dropadi. On account of its close proximity to the beach the place was buzzing. It took a while to get the attention of the staff. It took a while for our orders to get out but given the fact that the place was packed its understandable. <br/><br/>We placed an oder for the Aubergine pate served with toasted bread, Chicken Fingers crusty fried, Pan-Fried Sea Bass with lemon, butter and capers and the Spaghetti Chicken Bolognese.<br/>The Aubergine Pate was really good and the toasted bread complimented it very well. The Chicken Fingers were crunchy but were overcooked and dry.<br/><br/>The Spaghetti was decent and quantity was very nice. The real downfall of this entire meal was the Pan- Fried Seabass. The fish was overcooked which made it really dry. The capers tried to save the fish with its flavour but the lemon was extremely over powering making if difficult for me to actually enjoy the flavours of the fish. The mashed potato served with it was grainy and dry. I pointed it out to the waiter and he apologised and said that it was made like this here. <br/><br/>My unavoidable visit to Dropadi was met with me disappointment and I wouldn't want to give this place another chance because of the lack of empathy towards its customers.

With a typical rustic ambience with light music and sand at your feet, expect nothing less than luxury in this medium sized beach side restaurant. It is jam packed all the time so expect a little waiting time. Surmai Tawa Fry is the best here. The pieces (almost 20) were fresh and thinly sliced making them easy to eat. Prawns fry was very fresh while Prawns Ambotik Curry with Rice was delicious to say the least!! I have been here at least 7 times. They serve all kinds of beer and cocktails too. Located right at the main entrance of Palolem beach, the view is just amazing! Excellent food and worth every buck! Super place to visit in South Goa!

Rude, unprofessional,<br/><br/>Having found out from locals including owner of our place where we stayed for our vacation, about Dropadi staff being selective and shower differential treatment to Indians and foreigners, I still wanted to try this place for good reviews.<br/><br/>Usually I don't waste my time writing reviews on holidays. But this restaurant is exceptional. Went tonight (which happens to be the last day before they close off for monsoon season) went in around 9.15 pm. Wanted seating with sea view. There were two tables which would suit us family of four, facing the sea. Requested the staff if I can sit there, was told to go ahead. When we were about to be seated another staff comes out and informs this place is occupied, told him I checked with his colleague. Then he told the reason "this is our last day of working and we staff will have drinks here." In good spirit of holidays, we obliged and were seated at random place. Not ideal for sea viwlew but we did not bother much.<br/><br/>With in 5 minutes it was surprising to see the very same tables being offered to other customers. (Not gonna go to details of where they were from!)<br/>Called our steward Mr. VICKY(person in middle of the three people) and enquired if the guests seated in those tables were infact staff and was told they were guests. I complained to him, why we were shunted out and others were offered the same seats. The restaurant was not even full at that time. Vicky went off to find out what happened there.<br/><br/>He came back trying to look apologetic and tried to reason with us that this was better option for us. Told him we aren't liberty to chose better option for ourselves. I requested to speak tonthe staff who denied us this seating...he wouldn't turn upndeapite repeated requests.<br/>Next unwanted tonspeak to manager, surprisingly no such person as manager available at that time. I asked for who is in-charge of the place. Was told Mr.Sanjay was in-charge(one sitting behind glass window in pic).<br/>He was not willing To talk to us.made repeated requests to speak to him only to be told he was busy. Seen in pic sitting idle behind glass window doing nothing but not bothered to take complaint from customers.<br/><br/>Our steward is another story all together. Asked him what kind of chopsuey they have American or Chinese? He had no clue what I was asking for, kept repeating it was chopsuey. I gave up explaining to him about the same, yet ordered the chopsuey. It was fried noodles with stir fried vegetables and chicken in cornflour sauce. Nothing great to go with.<br/>By then i lost patience to order more for main course.<br/><br/>Back to Mr Sanjay, he didn't even bother to come over to explain the fiasco. And we were kept waiting for 20 min to get the cheque. Another 10 minutes to collect it. When I asked Mr.Vicky if Mr Sanjay would mind talking tonme, was shocked to learn I have to approach him to raise my concern, but his highness wouldn't move an inch.<br/><br/>Overall shambolic show by the staff. Disrespectful to customers requests. They could not care less and are selective in their service and who they want to serve and are nothing less than ......I don't want to use the word but it's upto them to introspect their actions.<br/>Very unprofessional and pathetic attitude towards Custer's.

What an excellent find at Palolem! If you haven’t eaten here then I surely suggest you make your way there! <br/>We enjoyed a couple of meals at Dropadi during our stay in South Goa last week. The stand outs were surely the Butter Garlic lobster, butter garlic crab. It tasted just as good at it looked! The fish and chips batter was perfection. Surely one of the best I have eaten so far. And he seafood pasta in white sauce cane packed with prawns and squid. Prices are very reasonable here. It’s all about the quality more ban quantity. <br/>I usually paired my food with a well made fresh lime soda or fresh watermelon juice. <br/>This restaurant is right on the beach and over looks the water, a great way to have a meal for sure. Polite and quick service. Special thanks to our favourite waiter Vinod for always taking care of us so well. No complaints, this place is an absolute must try! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

We accidentally happen to come over here for lunch, probably because we are locals our expectation was for good service. The waiter one Mr Sanju , need to be trained to speak to clients.he said this is not Goan restaurant meaning doesn't serve Goan dishes. We asked him for fried fish and he said 4 fillets of kingfish @ 600 rs and he gave extra stress on it. After 5 minutes he walked up and said it's not available. We asked him to cancel the previous order and tell us about the speciality of this place. He said it was chicken tikka and naan. Although we don't prefer Indian cuisine but we agreed. When the dish arrived it never looked like it was tikka chicken. On top the waiter points out to one board and said this is our speciality which si all fish. I was puzzled when asked about speciality earlier he a point out to menu ?No cutlery served. No tissue paper on the table. Please understand along with food it's important how you treat the client. When at the cash counter I enquired about senior manager or owner. The cashier replied there is no one here.

The place is located by the beach and is the most well lit and well decorated shack on the beach.<br/>The food is amazing and the quantity is pretty good as well. The rates are a bit on the higher side, which makes the restaurant-shack amongst the premium restaurants in town.
The Pao
This place has some yumy and unreasonably prices food.<br/>Cheese garlic nun is worth for the price.<br/>There's this grilled fish they serve and they have an opem kitchen so seeing it getting cooked itself fills your tummy. You can see butter melting and dripping and it getting cooked to perfection

Coming in from South Goa to North Goa is a good two and half hours and this restaurant is so strategically located, at the entrance of Palolem Beach.<br/><br/>The entrance from the road side is pokey but it opens out to a fairly big place bang on the beach. We took a table facing the sand and surf and ordered ourselves chicken biryani, stir fry noodles and some fresh lime soda. The biryani was less spicy as we requested and tasty.<br/><br/>We gobbled up our meal as quickly as we could since we had an agenda to reach Butterfly island.

Goa by it’s name one can think of Seafood and if such a restaurant is there by the sea it has a wonderful sight. Good by location as it is at the entrance of the beach. Food is mouth licking and has good view to the sea. Seafood and Italian cuisine is perfect here. I have been here multiple times and it never disappoints me. I have always love had food experience. A must try restaurant. Good job guys down there.
