Review Fern's - Palolem

prabandh gosavi
This place is an institution in itself. From serving in house made sausages to serving some really lip smacking Goan dishes, they have it all. I had ordered an English breakfast along with a chicken burger. The English breakfast was to die for, the sausages were so so good, the hash brown was really crispy. My only negative was the portion size was a bit too less compared to its pricing. The chicken burger was so so good, the patty was juicy, smokey and perfectly cooked. If you happen to visit palolem, then you must head to this place for some really kick ass food !!! Will surely visit this place again ❀️

If you are visiting palolem must add this place in your list. My first time ever giving such a big review on a restaurant. You get to taste delicious food with reasonable price. Loved the ambience and it's cherry on top if you are a pet lover, you get meet pillu cutest friendliest house cat. Run by lovely couple loved getting to know them everyone is warm and welcoming here. Atmosphere here is calm and you can take instagramable pictures here. Coming to food it was soo good that we ended up having our breakfast, lunch and dinner over here. You have to wait if you want to taste yummy food as every food is made fresh and prawns was cleaned and made just like home made. Must try their Goan special, rava fish fry and Bebnica. We had Aloo paratha, roti, sandwich, omelette, prawn, fries, spaghetti, rava fish fry, xacuti, bebnica, paneer tikka curry every dish tastes was very authentic and taste was so πŸ˜‹ yummy.

It's definitely one of the best restaurants in Palolem. Food is very, very authentic and great. We spent a lot of time at the restaurant and got the opportunity to meet and interact with the owner. While place is great, you just feel like going back again without a doubt. Wide range of food options ... right from Goan thali and authentic dishes along with North Indian, Chinese and continental. Must try are desserts; our experience of Bibenca here is unmatched anywhere else in north/ south Goa.

We were suggested to visit this place for some authentic Goan food. The hotel is very nice, good seating place. The order was taken quickly and also service was quick. The classic Goan dishes were available and they were tasty. The quantity is sufficient and also the cost is not too high. We loved this place.

I'm half Goan and whenever I come back to Goa, I travel 90km from the North of Goa to come here and eat. A long time ago, Goans ran their own establishment and cooked for their guests. This is one of only a handful of such places left in Goa. If you are Goan, let Jack and Katie know and they will bring up the chilli quotient of the food. If you are not Goan, this is your only chance to chance to taste the cuisine as it is supposed to be. Of course they normally tone down the chillies for those not used to it. The fish thali is basic in its layout but the curry will explode in your mouth. If you like vindaloo, sorpatel, green curry and xacuti you will find them to set your pants on fire in a flavourful and subtle sort of way. The in house rechado masala is the kind that if someone fried your socks in it, you would eat it with relish. Outside of Goan food, their menu is limited but well done. I have tasted it on occasion but that's not what I come here for. The owners, Jack and Katie are friendly and very busy. If they haven't flashed a smile your way, it because they have a serious commitment to running a quality show. One note to visitor's, be ready to pay for the quality here. There may be cheaper options available where one cook makes 10 cuisines - but if you were to put a few michelin stars or celebrity reviews, trust me you'd be happy to pay a lot more.

I am surprised only 14 people have reviewed it...A restaurant feels good only when the owner takes interest to see his guests are comfortable.Well that the difference...Home made food at its best..I had the fish Thali and my family had the fish fry. We also had the calamaris with Chilly...Simplicity yet very very tasteful is the correct term to be used...A must go on your visit to Goa or Palolem

We have been there multiple times, and it always has been memorable. The place is quite nice for family with kids and it serves all meals. They are known for their goan cuisine. I recommend the goa sausage pullav, pork sorpotalle, beef chilly fry, which are amongst my favorite. Definitely recommend.
