Review Silver Star - Cocktails & Dreams - Palolem

Off Season Review - Better view compared to Dropadi Shack adjacent to it. Staffs were good. Food was above average. Service was very fast. Clean bathroom. Food can be better. Hence 4/5

This place is a chillout place where you can spend a memorable time. Serves good healthy and tasty food. You get a beautiful view of arabian sea and also free fresh breezy wind

I enjoyed the beef pepper stake here. Must try especially beef lovers and if you have the appetite to eat. The view of the beach from the restaurant was worth it. If you are a couple you must visit this place. Quiet and peaceful.

Service Atmosphere 5* Food taste keeps varying everytime. Visited in may June taste wasn't as good Beef chilli had only chilli waiter said it was due to lack of stock off season scenes

Polite and accommodating staff. Ordered came quickly. Food was good. Located on Palolem Beach we spent the whole afternoon and evening here.

Very nice place right on the beach... very good and reasonably priced rooms... the food is good and very much affordable. Liked the seafood and the Goan food like beef chili was superb. The ambiance is nice evening the tables are placed on the beach with candle light and is very pleasant.... do try this place for accommodationon as well as their restaurant

Biggest plus point : this place remains open all around the year; probably one of few places in Palolem which remains open for entire year. Right in front of beach, just around entry point of the beach. Exhaustive options for beers and alcohol. Food options for veg and non veg in plenty. Good place to hangout in Palolem.

Nice place to hangout. The cocktails are cheap here compared to other beach side restaurants.

Great location. Just on the beautiful Palolem beach. Food is good as well as the service. Enjoy the view of the ocean while relaxing and dining out.

Very good food. Faces the sea so you have a lovely view

This is one of the few spots open during monsoons in Palolem. The food is a bit on the expensive side.. but the view of the sea is amazing. And that's why I go there during monsoons. The guys who work there try their best to serve all and are friendly. They do care about their customers satisfaction, but you should also be kind and communicate politely too.

It's awesome beach facing restaurant in Palolem beach.

Visited this place with my friends on a recommendation. The food and the ambience both were good. The view from the restaurant is also really good.
We had the following dishes:
Seafood Pizza: This pizza was topped with Kalamari (Squid), prawns and little pieces of fish. This was a really good pizza
Fish Curry: Fish was well cooked along with the authentic Goan curry
Chicken Curry: Well cooked chicken and the curry was also good.

Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the beach.

Been there on a eve... Even though, it was rainy season, it was crowded.
Tried their veg pakora, which was combination of different veggies like capsicum, cabbage, onion and some more.
Their chilli chicken was also good, it was less spicy like mild taste.
Services were good, though it can be little fast.
Staffs were good, overall a good place to have a beer along the waves😊😊
Went to this place last week and oh boy, what a terrible experience it was. The food was horrible. I had severe stomach and throat infection. Talking about the staff, I must mention that they have a laid-back attitude; they just don't seem to care. We waited for at least 25 mins before someone came and noted our order. Won't recommend this place to anyone.
We had lunch in this very old and popular place in palolem beach. There is no doubt about the beach facing view while having your food n drinks. We ordered Palak paneer , yellow dal and mix vegetable raita.all food was good except yogurt. It was very sour but when we told the server he didn't charge us. Good hospitality...Good food. We had a good time there....and recommend this place.

Beautiful view, chilled bear and grilled fish, this is what defines this restaurant. View is just amazing, on the front of most beautiful beach of goa. Service is good, food is also good if not great. Price wise it’s also fine not on high end. Overall a place worth visiting if you are at Palolem beach and enjoying a sunset.

My last night in Palolem, I decided to hit this place. I had gone towards the city and had been fascinated by the vibe of another place, but since I had already decided to have dinner here, so only had finger food there, and eventually ended up here...

The candle on the table seems to be a standard affair here in Palolem, especially during these monsoons...

But the view that this place offers is mesmerizing... especially if you happen to sit on the chairs that have been positioned in the front...

I ordered noodles and Sex on the Beach, both were top notch...

The place is open 24 hours, so you can just end up at the place at any point in the night...though I didn't try it...

Another must visit in Palolem - truly have dinner by the sea...

After the review me and my friend went there ,,worst decision, we were sitting for 40 min after ordering pasta and the staff was roaming here and there after 1 hour they bring our food ,,,pasta was tasteless and chicken chilly was not properly cooked ,,,,when we tell them about food they start doing argument ,,,,bad experience

We went there just last week.. it was raining, off season in Goa and perhaps that's why the place was peaceful. It is right on the beach, with so many seating options facing the beach. We went there two days continuously.. Could do better with the cups they serve tea and coffee in. But couldn't really complaint. The onion pakoras were nice.. and felt nice with the rains. Recommend for some nice, quiet time.

Their cocktails are really mean and cheap! Big plus is the view you get when you visit this shack. Tried the pina colada and beer along with masala papad. This place spells value for money!

A nice place to lounge while spending the day at Palolem Beach. The service was great and the staff was polite and accommodating. Good music kept us company and everything we ordered came quickly. Happy day.

The best decorated and one of the largest (in terms of seating capacity) beach side shack, right on the Palolem beach is the 'Cocktails & Dreams'. They provide inside as well as outside dinning just under the sky, where you can enjoy the sea while having your dinner/lunch/snacks or a casual drinking. But this kind of ambience is offered by most of the shacks irrespective of being a reputated/ordinary one in Goa. So unfortunately being such a decorative place it is unable to score much points in decoration/ambience section.

We all know alcohol is cheapest all over the state. So depending only upon the food cost, the shacks/restaurants/pubs do not differ much from one to other. Hence average cost is almost similar everywhere.

I think on what all the shacks should focus is the hospitality and quality/taste part as this is the only section where one may differ from other or compete other in the food market of Goa.

Hospitality: You can find a 'DON'T GIVE A DAMN' kind of attitude in almost all the staffs. You have to call atleast 4 to 5 time to place an order. I am quite astonished to see such a rush in this place where you definitely feel the negligence being showed by the staffs.

Food/Cocktails: We opted for different types of dishes and I like the Tuna Sandwich most. Average taste of foods they offer is not bad. But the horrible part is the cocktail. Don't be fooled by the name 'Cocktails & Dreams'. I couldn't realize the fact that how they could even prepare such a worst cocktail while competing with others in the food market of Goa. Finally I agree that you can find worst drinks even in Goa. 'Mojito' was better among the other drinks we ordered, though not upto the mark. 'French Kiss' was like a simple homeopathy tonic. I am sure I tried better cocktails in Kolkata.

I am surprised seing how they manage to survive in this tough food market, having such a low rating in Zomato. I will never recommend this place to others as this is not the only beach side shack in Goa. Don't be fooled, judge all the reviews, and then try your choice.

Happy Fooding...😊😊🥃🍾🍗

Place lookes good from the outside. Right on Palolem beach, with the open sea on one side and a lazy breeze blowing, a quiet lunch or dinner doesn't get any better.

It's a completely different story once you get in. The staff has no idea how restaurants are supposed to work. They don't respond well when customers call after them. Everything from them taking the order, wasting a helluva long time to prepare and serve the food, to asking for and paying the bill really grinded my gears. You'd have to ask twice for everything. It's like the waiters and servers don't even care. So that's about tue horrendous service this place has to offer. It's futile to expect much.

The food however, wasn't half bad. We ordered tuna sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, veg fried rice and chicken chillies. The tuna was ok, I didn't particularly like the veg fried rice, but my friend did. For drinks, please just take beer or other alcohols. These people just cannot make cocktails. They botched up a simple mojito, let alone the other weirdly named cocktails they had to offer. Just go for normal beer or drinks.

service 2
food and drinks 3
ambience 4

Would not probably go again if given a choice.
with Abhishek Basu

The reviews were pretty bad on Zomato so we were reluctant to go. But it's a beautiful place so we decided to give it a shot. I think they've rectified everything wrong according to the reviews by taking it as positive constructive criticism. The service was very good. The food is adequate. The view is very beautiful. Go at sunset. :)

The "don't-give-a-damn" attitude is something the staff here is trying to master. Your experience here won't just last a meal but probably 2. Because by the time you receive your order, it's already time for your next meal. It takes them around 30-45 minutes to simply take your order. The waiting staff behaves like they are doing a favor on you. And they have started a trend of using sarcasm instead of a pleasant smile. I would have overlooked all of the above if the food was good. Food too matches their standard of service. Why are they still running this place. Close it already!
Geetimollika Kalita
This is one of the very few places that remains open during off season. So this was the only option for breakfast. Nothing extraordinary. Stick to the basics like varieties of eggs, toast with jam and butter and beer. Don't try to experiment with new dishes der or u'll end up getting irritated. In fact even juices weren't up to the mark.
But this is the best place to enjoy the sea. Either sit there for hours with beer and the complete beach view for company or enjoy watching the rain after a beach bath, again with a beer.
I have fond memories of this place as this place was our usual breakfast hangout hence extra points
Mohit Rahalkar
Went there for breakfast and waited till when it was time for lunch. Worst place. Maybe they had less staff that day. Quantity of the breakfast I felt was very less. Place is right on the beach so you can go there order some beers and chill instead going there to eat.
Things you can try- Nutella pancakes, juices.
Siddhant Dogra
A bit pricey for its decent ambience. They took a lot of time in giving the bill. Spicy Prawns were good that I ordered but the view was the plus point on the best beach in Goa that is Palolem.

Visited this place on 4th July.
Ordered:
Squid Golden Fry: Worst in my life. There were no sign of squids, its like deep fried batter with hint of squid piece.
Chicken Drum of Heaven: Just ok

Didn't like the place, food as well as service.
Saumya Pandey
Can't rate the food, because it was not served to us even after an hour of ordering. We had ordered a paneer pakoda and coffee, and that too after calling the waiter atleast 5 times to take our order. If you are not drinking any alcohol here, they won't serve you. Horrible service!!

While the cocktails are great, the rest of the experience is not up to the mark. The service was unbelievably slow. On top of that, the management played some shit Bollywood and Hindi hip hop tunes (which only one table liked). When we got our beef steaks (medium rare), we were given bread knives. Reason being the management think it's dangerous to give customers a proper steak knife. Also, the management did not have several items on the menu. Forcing us to order things we wouldn't have otherwise.

In spite of an unsatisfactory experience we had at the cocktails and Dream at Baga we went to this place in palolem because it had an amazing view of sunset and the interiors of the place looked groovy.

After an exhaustive day at the beach we decide to grab a quick bite and headed here. We had sandwiches and a milkshakes. They had quite a few varieties of sandwiches. We ordered a tuna, tomato and cheese, chicken, ham and cheese sandwiches. For drinks we ordered the chocolate, coffee, and banana milkshake and a hot chocolate. The ham and cheese sandwich was a disappointment while the rest were okay. The milkshakes would have been better if they were cold enough and rejoice because nothing went wrong with hot chocolate.

The staff were little distracted but we received a good service. They really need comfy and cosy furniture.

Let me frankly tell you that I have no idea about t the food but the chocolate crepes for breakfast were above average. We sat here celebrating a friends post_birthday_party latter half of the night. The rates are quite high but it was only shack open in that lane :)
Vinay
Uncomfortable seating arrangements. Stray dogs roaming around the restaurant area. Not a lot of variety in food or drink accompaniments. Overall, was not satisfied.

Tried Butter garlic prawns, stuffed squids & chicken tikka for starters. They all sucked. The fish wasn't fresh (trust me on that coz im a Goan & its in our staple diet). Seafood at this shack is crap. It doesnt even deserve a star. Even the chicken fried rice I ordered was too oily. Fooling the innocent tourists. Try the neighbouring shacks! Deepi Goyal

If you are at Palolem, you must definitely visit this place for the view of sunset it offers. Had been to this place on my recent trip to Goa. Absolutely loved it! Also, loved the service. The waiters were so attentive that it almost became embarrassing towards the end looking at them swooping down on our table for every hand gesture that we made.

Slightly expensive bar menu (by Goa standards) but worth it, nevertheless. Also, friends tried out the Prawns fry at this place while the veggies in the group had to settle for French Fries. Both of them were damn good! *slurp*

Considering that this place was open 24x7, had planned to come back to this place post-midnight. But this place had transformed drastically by then. Loud music and an equally loud crowd made us change our plans. On any other day, would have definitely walked in to enjoy the atmosphere!
