I know this place from 3 years or more I guess. I was hungry I saw this place and went to eat here.. it's a complete South Indian package. The owner is a South Indian itself .the food is so yum.. I love panner Dosa , masala Dosa and mix uttpam , chilli idli , sambar bada nd all. Just a list of my favorite things here.. I recently tried South thali . it's huge I couldn't not finish it . If you are craving for authentic South Indian food then Shiv Karthik Restaurant in Sector 20 Panchkula is the place to go. It is situated opposite to Shiv Mandir in the market. Food is yummy & service is excellent. Good thing about this place is they have an open kitchen setup which increases the authenticity of he restaurant as you can see the preparation in front of you. The staff is well trained & hospitable. Jagdish is there star staff his photo is also published in review. Pongal a special South Indian dish is also available at this place on Sunday for breakfast. Besides this you can get North Indian food too. Prices are reasonable. They have partnered with online delivery services too. Location wise if you are travelling from Delhi to Shimla you can take a halt as they are 500 meters away from the highway. Just ordered from Shiv Karthik restraunt amidst the lockdown and I was delighted.! The vada was crisp and fresh and the podi dosa was also authentic. The cherry on the top had to be the coconut chutney, which was fresh and simple. I’m looking forward to having their Meals and quite happy to have found this restaurant in Panchkula :)

I got ring parotta eith kurma packed for dinner. It wasna malabai parotta which was good & would suggest you to eat there only. The kurma was too good & was full of flavours. There were 2 parotas & half bowl of kurma & it was very much worth the money too.

i will give 4 ratings for sambhar vada and 3 ratings for idli sambhar. Sambhar is more like authentic south indian sambhar and their sambhar is more tasty than sagar ratna sambhar and vada was good too.Idli was very hard and they should look to improve the quality of idli

"Their food USED to be good." but for last 2-3 times it's just been BLEHH! I ordered idli, masala dosa and plain dosa for lunch today. Sambar was too sour to even eat. it frankly just tasted like 'amchur' . Dosa' were soggy and tasted old. The stuffing(masala) in the masala dosa was so heavy that i thought i was eating Amritsari kulcha.

You would hardly find good south Indian restaurant up on the North region. Shiv Karthik is over if those exceptions with the taste coming all the way down to South. There is nothing special about the ambience but it is decent enough. Service is really fast even with good footfalls. Tried the Mysore masala Dosa and uttappam. I must say that both the dishes were delicious with tasty flavors added. The accompaniments served with it were really nice. Both the Sambar and coconut chutney complimented the dishes very well. If you are south Indian lover, this is the place to go. I bet you would enjoy the food. You can have a good time here with the family.

* Worst Service * Ordered food from Zomato and they did not deliver the complete order and taken the money for the entire order. * They Denied so deliver the food when we told them again and also Zomato declined service on this because Zomato said their runners are busy delivering others and you can place a new order for which we do have free runners witing for your order. I love south Indian food and Karthik is a well known name but here it is just the opposite and I will never order or will go to this restaurant again in my life.

Ordered meal for delivery. Delivery was in time and fast. Ratings and suggestions as below Can order easily -idli Idlis were fresh & quality was of medium level , they can improve a bit on quality. So it’s 3.5 stars Must order. Vada Sambar vada was fantastic - 5 star Can be order. Masala dosa Masala dosa can be rated as 3.5 stars. Avoidable -paneer dosa Paneer dosa was absolute wastage. They need to relook at the recipe of paneer stuffing inside dosa. This is the only food item which was not Upto any standard. No stars.

Authentic taste of south. Idali is so soft and the sambhar tastes very good. Want a real taste of south and I found it here. I have only one issue that is cleaning, otherwise in the point of taste delivery time and cost every thing is superb.

I love South Indian food and was sceptical about finding authentic South Indian taste here but was really happy when I found shiv Karthik restaurant... I love their idli’s.. they are soft and spongy and quite big. The accompaniments are tasty as well.. have tried their tomato rice, tamarind rice,vada, rava masala dosa as well as masala dosa.. the texture of their rava masala dosa is different from the usual ones that I have had but they aren’t bad to eat... also I didn’t particularly like the tamarind rice as it was rather bland... overall this place helps satiate my South Indian food ka craving, so m a happy gal

Being a foodie.... I m a great fan of south indian cuisine, ordered myself a mysore masala dosa and rasam. Its was simply amazing. Quality and quantity both were appreciative. Rasam being little on spicer side but fine. IMP thing : Sambar made in south (bangalore & hyderabad) are a bit sweet whereas this one is perfect which suits every north indian taste. Kudos.....
