Makhani - Shahi Paneer - Veg Biryani Also very good Veg & Non Veg Chowmein Other items are also good but above ones are my tried and tested favorites. Loved the food as always. From years they have maintained the same quality ❤️

Thought I’m vegetarian but my family loves to have non-veg… They had amazing chicken soup… as per them it’s best place to have chicken soup 🍜
Jasleen Kaur
The food here is delicious, especially dahi kebab which literally melts in the mouth yet has a crunchy exterior. The ambience of the place is very basic, but their food and service are commendable.

This is place for take away not through zamato Wanted to eat a different gravy chicken this palace didn't disappoint madrasi chicken is perfect for the change in the taste of the old chicken Garvey

Be it their chicken tikka, Kali mirch tikka, amritsari fish fry or fish tikka. Everything is just amazing. Best snacks you can get in tricity. Their chicken tikka is out of this world. None of the pieces are dry. It is filled with juice and very well cooked. I bet you can't eat just one plate. You will definitely order multiple plates. The staff is very polite and the management is very good. You may have to wait a bit long as the place is always full. Even people ask for food to be served in cars at night. The main course is average but the snacks are out of this world. Must try if you are near panchkula or you can also order online.

What matters is the food quality and taste and this place delivers you the both. Though it's not that upscale place. Sitting arrangement, ambience is average but I went there for good food and that's what met my expectations. Must try Soup and Fried fish. Not too expensive.

The food was great for the price, homestyle and prepared with less oil. The breads especially were great in specific the garlic naan with the dal makhani. We had a meal for 6 and paid just between 900 and 1000. Great food for price but the place could be redone since the ambience is very down, depressing and dark, rather than giving a vintage vibe, it feels old and outdated

One of the yummy restaurants for soups and Non-Veg foods specially non-veg roasted snacks. Good Staff. Sitting capacity of around 35 people. They offer home delivery service too. Price is pocket friendly.

ordered malai chicken kebab. The food arrived cold, cold as an uncooked meal. In covid times you rely on a restaurateurs sense and sensibilities to take precautions while cooking and packing. Cooking i didn't see since we got the order home delivered but the packing was horrible and unsafe. The kebab peices were lying open in a cardboard box just covered with an aluminium foil lying right there in front unprotected as you opened the cardboard outer box. No foil bags with its opening stapled, cellotaped or even a basic rubberband was present. This basic precaution was followed for packing food even preCOVID, beats me as to how the restaurant thought it was okay to deliver food in such a packaging during covid even after charging an extra 40 rs for delivery DEGCHI...... YEARS OF TRUST LOST!

My husband (who is from Panchkula) swears by this restraunt.
I had a tomato soup and my husband had a chicken soup. I found my soup quite average but heard my husband raving about his soup
Ordered malai paneer tikka, which was great.
Soft fresh paneer, mildly spiced and crunchy onions.
Would love to try more here.

Poor service.

One of oldest places in panchkula serving lip smacking authentic food. Just try their Chicken Dilruba, best kabab cuisine you can ever have.

One of the most loved places in Pkl. Degchi has the best soups in tricity! Love their chilly Panner chilly chicken . Paneer naan keema naan. This place was shut in Chd but the outlet in Pkl serves the same quality. Prefer takeway than dine in here.
Sahil
They are best with chicken keema naan, I have tried other Currys as well they are just all right. Chicken Keema naan is full of chicken filling inside and with gravy.
Abhinit Sharma
Well my friends take me to this place as they love non veg and this place has the best. But, as a veg i tried paneer nan and gravy. The nans were big soft and tasty but the gravy is so delicious. Must visit place.

One of my favourite places in panchkula, the non veg of this place never disappoints.

In fish,i really enjoyed their fish tikka, fish fried and fish finger in terms of taste as well as quantity.

In chicken,i love their chicken malai tikka and lemon chicken(gravy)- My favourite items here.A must try.

Though didnt like their cheese nan with gravy much but still it was decent enough.

In main course, i liked their Chicken tikka butter masala.

Overall, this place is a saviour when it comes to non veg starters.Their delivery is prompt and this place offers value for money.

Good food, we order Madrasi chaicken and fish curry and they provide best results what we are expecting from them , awesome fish curry and chicken, needs to have some maintenance in restaurant, it looks like old dhabha however food was awesome, spent great time over there

When I used to live in Panchkula back in 2002 onwards, this was a rare restaurant delivering good quality , taste and fresh chicken dishes , besides others. And now when I visit home, I still haven't found any better alternative for ordering my chicken starters. All my friends there are gone, nobody recognizes me and gives me that familiar smile, but that I can live without, as long they keep on serving my tikka fresh and juicy when I go back. Excellent job done, Degchi

Rohan Bahl
One of the longest running restaurant in tricity. Performing and maintaining the taste and standards same throughout the years with decent prices.
Manish Kumar
value for money been a regular customer from 15 years tried n tested, superb taste n quantity for that pricepoint, chicken bhartha is worth trying
Amit Gupta
I ordered chicken Biryani but i found out its the Worst Biryani ever.
Chicken soup was ok but paneer tikka was served cold. Its just an average or below average restaurant.
Varun Khosla
They use the best quality chicken with good taste. Really appreciate their good work for long going to this place for almost 15 years. Best quality, best price .
MJ
Have been eating degchis chicken for 10 years like any other Panchkula area resident .. fan of the soups and Kalmi kebab .. chicken is so soft .. melts in your mouth like anything..
Madhur Satija
Our go to place for food ordering or take away when nothing's cooking at home. This place has almost become a tradition for panchkula residents. Keema naan with gravy is highly recommended.
Nishant Kumar
The food was good but the manager refused to take care saying that the swipe machine was with the delivery boy who went for home delivery. Poor excuse to create black money.

A lot of people may believe that Degchi isn't what it was a few years back, I think it still lives up to its name. I'm a big fan of their Chicken Tikka Butter Masala and Butter Naan. You ought to have it once if you are a non-vegetarian. Also, they are quite popular for their soups; Manchow is my all time favourite. I could go on and on forever about this place. Another thing, on a super chilly evening when you don't want to step out of your car, they'll take an order for you and serve you right there in your car. So you can actually park your vehicle, order a nice soup and some Mushroom Tikka to kill those winter blues OR just opt for a takeaway. Home delivery is available and competent!
Vinitha Velayudhan
Old restaurant, doesn't look hygienic. I am giving it 2.0 just because i liked their paneer chilly.

I had ordered a home delivery for chicken lollypop. I had asked the guy who took the order that will it be spicy, he said yes. When i received the lollypop it was cold, I stay in the same sector where the restaurant is, it took them more than a hour to deliver it to me. When i tasted it, it was like I was having a nonveg sweet dish. It was so sweet i couldn't have it more than a bite. I threw it in the dustbin. And who makes chicken lollypop with gravy. I mean i was so surprised to see gravy in chicken lollypop.

When i was in Mumbai, i was a fan of chicken lollypop, but degchi just ruined it for me. I have been to their restaurant and tasted their parathas and chicken gravy. Not my taste.

Service : Ok
Food Quality: Bad
Ambience: Bad
Taste: Lets just not talk about it
Will i every give it a try: No Never Ever.

You really need to visit this place if you are fond of old Indian kitchen , specially for chicken . Lovely place . Onion they provide is so juicy . Must visit

A place being visited for years still churns out the best of indian food i can say.

We ordered for veg shammi wuich wete more of a cutlet. Paneer tikka was ok
Maincorse was dal makhani had rajma in it as well

Overall taste was good and these are the places where taste matters in d end

Restaurant was in bad shape so takeaway r better recommended
Bimbrahw
We ordered some snacks and Chinese main course from this outlet yesterday night. Happy with the decision. The service was fast, the quantity was good, the packing was ok, the snacks tasted good, the Chinese was Indianised Chinese but good (deducted a star), the prices were reasonable. Overall rating -
Quality - 5/5
Quantity- 5/5
Ambience - n/a since home delivery
Service - 5/5
Taste - 4/5
Value for money - 4/5
Overall rating - 4/5
Am I going to order again. YESS !!!
A great place to munch on luscious Chicken Biryani and Stuffed Chicken!!! I usually visit this place and every time I go find this Stuffed chicken getting better and better.
Aayush Vohra
The USP of the place being their soups and finger foods, the place has lost its charm due to increased competition from other restaurants and primarily due to its location. But soup lovers know what to visit when they are craving from a yummy manchow soup, cheese kebab or afghani chicken. Degchi has been an institution of delivering great soups. Earlier it used to rule in sector 8 chandigarh too, but now it has only this outlet left. The madrasi paneer is a cult winner and i believe that only their butter naan remain eatable on food delivery.

Just came near to this market so I think give a try here so I ordered full tandoori chicken seems nice n spicy but not properly cooked at all some last piece I find so I shared rest gud not expensive much just 300 but ambience is dull not gud service at all
Pushpak Narula
They still gives the good service . good staff over here but they are not maintaining der food quality. And the best part is on horn service . that was really good . but be on ur food track
Harsh
One of the most promising restaurants in pkl.. There's never a change in any taste, quality or quantity..good place for foodies and value for money.

One of the oldest restaurants of Panchkula , have ordered food from it many times.

Degchi provides good quality food in good quantity at reasonable prices......hence it has been able to hold its position for so long in home delivery segment inspite of cut throat competition and new outlets opening up.

It caters to every aspect ......You want to eat in car, in restaurant or want food delivered at home , Degchi is always there to serve you.

Some of the dishes which i like here are Kalmi Kebab , Madraasi Chicken ( Specialty of Degchi ) , Garlic Chicken ,Chilly Chicken , Cheese Chilly , Dal Mkahni and even its Hakka Noodles and Fried Rice are also very good.

An above average outlet in home delivery segment , Degchi never disappoints !!!!!
Jaspreet
If you want to sample good chicken snacks without spending a lot give this place a shot. The food is good but the place is a little old styled and there is nothing in the terms of ambience. But people who want a nicely done chicken will scarcely notice any of it. They will be too busy savoring the great chicken
Neeti Gupta
One of the best places in the tricity for fish n chicken tikkas. When the point is not ambience but just the tenderest, freshest, melt in the mouth fish...the place wins hands down. In the typical chandigarh tricity tradition, service in the car is quick, unfussy and very friendly. This is also the go to place for delivery that never fails to satisfy!
Mani
Been to this place 4 times till now.
Located in the Sec6 market standing with all other food joints and pet shops.

Tried the Veg Manchurian, Tomato Shorba, Chicken Biryani and Tandoori Fish.

A place having many options to eat - in the car, a dinein, a takeway or a home delivery.

Their Veg Manchurian is the best. Very soft and juicy with a semi dry gravy. Good to have with noodles or just like that.

The Chicken Biryani is the best I had anywhere in Tricity till date. They give 2 to 3 huge pieces of Chicken accompanied with Chutney and Onion.
But it is very spicy and you need to mention if you dont prefer spice on the higher side.

The Shorba is a light soup to drink. Has some fresh herbs added.

The Fish was a bad experience though. Missed the flavours and freshness. Felt very bland and tasteless. The dominant spice was turmeric. Not recommended. But the dip they serve is very delicious. Did not seem like Tartar but that made the fish palatable.

And the quantity served is sufficient for 2 people with an average appetite. (Though this is very debatable when it comes to a foodies tummy)

As far the service is concerned, the servers are very soft and polite. They accommodate your requests.

The sitting is simple, clean and hygienic. Have always seen a decent crowd here.

Would try all their dishes on the menu.
Naman Gupta
Dine in, takeaway or sit in the car outside. They serve in every way. The food is good and the service is exceptional. I've never seen this place deserted. It's always hustling and bustling. Families sitting inside and car-o-bar outside in the parking. I frequently order from this place and the food has never been a issue.
Recommended place.

Degchi : Sector-6 Panchkula

Ordered some starters from here to basically check-out some place in addition to the Tawa food which is my parent's favourite restaurant. Since the last 25-years, we have ordered food from tawa primarily.
Degchi 🍴We ordered two plates - fish fingers and a plate - paneer tikka from here and while I was told '30 minutes' - delivery time but food reached in 55 minutes. I had to call-back just to obtain a confirmation to which I was told that our food was 'on the way' to our home.

9 fish-fingers in a plate for 220-bucks is not bad at all. Fish fingers were good to taste & so was the paneer tikka. My parents liked the food and so did we others in the family.

Degchi Management - While I am on my way to Delhi NCR, you sure will keep receiving a couple of food-orders from my folks :)

Overall - Okay place to order from. They have a minimum 200-bucks delivery order which is good and by all means, very reasonable. Will add some pictures in 12-hours time. Typing on my mobile right now, sitting in a Volvo with a low network area. Hoping like anything that this review gets published.

Cheers to good food Eating :)
Saguna Gupta (iamwherefoodis)
One of the average priced restaurants serving good food in the tricity. Ordered a dhaba daal which was really good. Tandoor chicken was okayish. The breads were decent and not maida based.
The service is okay but the food is too spicy.
Vishal Gupta
What a place to have non veg items. The ambience gives you the feeling of a typically old indian resturant that I like. I ordered their Tawa chicken which was the best, one butter chicken which was gud too, one tandori chicken which was ok & some naan bread. Their tandoori chicken is what i dont like very much as it was not properly cooked but the rest was awesome specially the tawa chicken I had never had that type of chicken before. They offers you a gud meal in terms of quality, taste & money. My bill was approx 1000 Rs which I think was not too much for all this. So better to try this one.
Harshit Kumar
Average place to dine...n-veg items are gud especially fish curry n tandoori chicken..for curry side butter chicken is better..service is also decent but not much sitting space..
Esspee Singh
The old and reliable place in the town to order kebabs while having drinks in the car.... But the only thing its been ages since anything new came up in the menu... Same 10 yrs old menu and dat very old taste..... But with the new restaurants coming up they need to work on their menu in order to catch up to the competition....... Madrasa chicken is one good admirable dish at degchi apart from regular snacks what everyone else is serving
Sonia Mehra
Very tasty non veg soup and the fish of this place is a must try for all fish lovers. Good service and fresh food is served. It is clean n hygenic aswell

Woah.. Is this place still open?
I used to visit this place (with my family) or take a home delivery quite often when I was living in sector 6, around 5 years ago. I was quite young then. When my mother wasn't home then we should to call this place for some good north Indian food and pay for it later. Mainly Dal Makhani and few varieties of chicken. Once we forgot to pay for it. And after few days when we remembered and went to pay, they happily accepted it. Great service.
As far as I remember, the food was good here.
And I'm seeing that the recent reviews are good. Happy to see they still serve good food.
Surya Ganesh
Good restaurant with a good atmosphere .. Good food and very friendly staff

Had vegetarians Chinese food and the items were served within 5 minutes.

But place is small and can accommodate only 25 people.
Navnish Chopra
Delicious Food..Veg/Non Veg both.
Mouthwatering Dishes.
Love to Visit here again and again.
Especially Dilruba Kabab, Kalmi Chicken and Biryani.
Fast Service...even in your Car at it's Parking.
Sahil Kaushish
Food quality is good, serving time is very high. Good place for having soups in panchkula.
Parking is no issue here. Ambience is a big 0. Should rennovate now.
Harinder Singh Chahal
Had a Degchi chicken here ...gud....looks old......restaurent needs renovation.....will not prefer to come here.....not so attracting food....
Ankit Mahajan
An old name in sector-6 Panchkula known more for packing , people come a lot now here as it gives car service also. You can have a nice decent meal here. Open kitchen they have sort of. Their speciality is Madrasi Paneer or chicken which is really nice. Good gravy full of flavours and unique taste. Service is good. Interiors are nothing much too boost about . But if you like food then this is the place to visit atleast once.
The Man Who Felt The Food
i ordered food for about 10 ppl and asked for it to be home delivered, the food arrived on time and was of good quality, the malai kofta could have been better though.
Aman Garg
There is nothing special about this place other than the different type of delicious soup it offers, a bliss during winters.... But Soup are something that keeps me calling to this place again n again..... Snacks are just fine like any other outlet. Sitting is good, service is little slow and can be improved.
Gunjeet Singh
Small and cramped place and they serve you in disposable plates.. but some good dishes

Must try :
-Madrasi chicken
