Best place for sea food lovers. We ordered sumai thali, prawns thali. Both were extremely great. Sea food is soo fresh and well marinated. Absolutely delicious Surmai. 😋 Must Visit this place
We visited this place during the lockdown and yes it was fab it was my first time. Fresh fish /good quantity and good times that sums up a great day at this restaurant. Because of the lockdown there were many fish that was unavailable but the thali was good and it is worth the price too.
Kokni kanteen is located in the Panaji Goa I have eated Chicken cafrealwas soo tasty 👌 ans sea food was also amazing.....
Visit once...
Serradura also known as sawdust pudding, or Macau pudding, is a well-known Portuguese dessert. It is a combination of whipped cream and crumbled Marie biscuit in a layered outlook. Serradura is a Portuguese word for “sawdust”, and refers to the very crumbs of the biscuits in the pudding.
.
I visited the Kokni Kanteen in Goa which is a famous for its Portuguese cuisine and tried Serradura and Kokum drink to wash down all that Goan humidity.
.
Pro Tip: Remember that they don’t do reservations, so once you show up there might be some wait time, but don’t let that deter you! Trust me, it is worth the wait!
One of the best reasonable priced restaurant in Panjim.
Kokni kanteen is located in the Panaji at Goa
I had eated chicken cafreal and sea food
Chicken cafreal was too tasty and spicy was there 😋 ......
Sea food are soo amazing 😍 .....
The place is soo good...
Visit once and enjoy food 😊
Food =5/5.....
Want to taste authentic Goan style cuisine just walk down Dada vaidya road in the heart of panjim & step into nostalgia @koknikanteengoa .
This place is a paradise for sea food lovers, looking for some local flavours & is super crowded during afternoon. I had to wait for almost 30 min for a table & didn’t get perfect lighting for Instagram photography.
But the food completely compensated! This place truly deserves appreciation ❤️
In frame:Fried Kingfish Thali
Consisting rice, bangdo curry, tisryo, fried king fish, kismor, pickle, salad, bhaji , lepo ambot tik & solkadi.
Known for it's authentic jevan, this should be the first place in Goa that you should try. This place introduces Goan cuisine like no one else does.

Two visits in a week. Says it all. Lovely food, fresh and flavourful. The seafood here is a winner. Chapatis are soft and warm like silk.
It is worth the hype & the wait. They are super busy. No convenient four wheeler parking available. Two wheeler is the best way to go here. The quality & quantity of the food is top notch. They have a hard stop for lunch dining at about 2pm. We need to be there before that to get a token. It's the best if you are a group of four people, otherwise there is a good chance that you may have to share a table. At this point, they should do something about seating & criwd management.
I just love the place the ambience and the location.
Food was not as expected. The taste and quality doesn't justify saying authentic or vintage restaurant.
Still lot of rush most of the time as people like me want to explore what's spl about these old places.
For an authentic Goanese Konkani culinary experience, this establishment is a must-visit in Goa.
Their extensive fish menu boasts a variety of delights, including rawa fry of Surmai, tisrya, and prawns, all cooked to perfection. The prawns, in particular, stood out for their tender and fresh texture, a refreshing departure from the overcooked and rubbery version often found elsewhere. Accompanied by flavorful solkadhi, rice, and the delightful Portuguese dessert serradura, the meal was truly exceptional.
Despite a minor billing mishap (quickly rectified by the apologetic staff), I award this place 5 stars across the board. However will take one away for the billing error. Its cozy popularity means waiting in line is likely, but trust me, it's well worth it. I'll return every time I'm in Goa and enthusiastically recommend you do the same!
It's one small place in the heart of Panjim couple of streets away to all the casinos. Eventhough we heard the lunch thali is the best we could go only in the evening. We did order kokum soda mocktail, rice, rawa fried prawns and king fish Goan fish curry. Oh boi it was amazingly.
Huge quantity prawns - about 12 pieces I think. Big prawns, cleaned and fried extremely well. It tasted yum
Fish curry - coming from a place that has fish curry every day. The Goan version was another version of how good fish curries can be. King fish was awesome
Kokum drink - another hit.
Don't miss this place if you are around Panjim for a good lunch or dinner.
Discovered a renowned eatery in Panjim, offering an authentic Goan thali and a variety of Goan dishes. Despite its small size, the place is clean with a lively ambiance. The Goan thali is a feast with a variety of dry seafood dishes, two fish curries, fried fish, and accompaniments paired with Goan red rice. The menu also boasts a range of fresh seafood options. Be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak lunch/dinner hours – a testament to its popularity!
The best Goan thali experience ever. The food served is very delicious and pricing is reasonable. The place is crowded and you need to wait a minimum 30 mins to get your seats and they manage the queue using a token service. Service was good, but the restaurant is very small. You will find parking in the nearby streets. Highly recommended
The place is fabulous with a combination of service and taste the menu is short with best Goan dishes ,we had veg biryani which was moist and spicy quantity was enough for 3 people, and chicken & fish rava fry properly marinated and fried served in simple plates and the vibes here are totally different.
Would rate the place 4.5 out of 5 , highly recommended place in the heart of the city for local Goan cuisine.👌👌
Definitely not to be missed experience in Goa. The food and drinks were both really good. Well cooked, well served and tasted absolutely amazing. We had veg thali and tried all the desserts.
Finally, we were able to make it !!
Although it was waiting for almost 45-60 minutes , it was worth the wait.
We tried Bappa Thali which had all the Goan delicacies.
Bombil Fry was also very sumpsous.
But what won our heart was Cashew Fenni.
Must Try place in Goa for authentic Goan cuisine!!
