Review The Oak Barrel - Panjim

They serve amazing Asian food. The dim sums are the best in Goa, the pork and prawn ones are our favorites. We also enjoyed the fried rice and other oak barrel specials. We asked the waiter to suggest, and whatever he suggested was top quality. Sushi wants great, the sauce wasn't as per my liking. Would recommend this place for Asian cuisine and special for dimsums.

Great ambiance with really well made food. The presentation of the food was pleasing to look at and the food was great. There is a good variety of items on the menu. The smoked salmon sashimi was really nice and I highly recommend it. The pork ribs were also really good. Nice place to go with friends or on a date. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Nice place situated at Miramar, very good ambience. Live music (and the singer is awesome). Delicious food. The menu has changed recently, they have introduced sushi also in addition to continental and Thai. Been here thrice. Bit pricey, but the food is worth it. Highly recommended. Will visit again.

Located on the main road to Miramar, it gives you a real bistro ambience with the music, choiciest & quirky interiors with good choice in Music. The bar options are really wide and they brew their own Mead which really tastes GOOD, especially the coffee favored one. Had a Pork ribs plate, which was just fantastic. Sadly went for a short visit, will be back for a longer hangout

Really an amazing place for fun,food and drinks. My all time favorite up north. Nathan along with his staff rock this place. The musicians ardian and Dylan on Saturday rock this place with their music. Definitely recommend this place if your in Panjim.

A must go heaven for all the Japanese and Thai Cuisine lovers. The Sushi was awesome and also you should try their Chicken Dimsum Kothey as recommend by the Waiter over there. It was delicious. And the complementary appetizers we're delicious the Kimchi and The Lotus Root. The ambience was great too. Do visit.

Located just before the miramar beach with nice parking facility. Oak barrel gives you a Nice first impression with excellent interiors and welcoming nature of the staff. We selected a table on the upper floor which are more comfy. The staff attended to us quickly and gave us the well designed menu at once . We went for the sushi platter and it is one of the best sushi place in Goa. Excellent taste , fresh ingredients , perfect wasabi and sauce make it a heaven for sushi lovers . Highly recommended. The staff is extremely courteous and well trained as well .

Went for 31st night. Most of the other good restaurants were full, so we decided to try this. It was a good decision. Food, ambience, service etc was great. Loved the live music. Bit pricey.

Along the bustling Panjim Roads towards Miramar Beach stands Oak Barrel, hard for anyone to miss. Enter this chic pub and restaurant with wood inspired colour tones. Best starters. Ample parking place. Happy hour and more worth visiting

Well, I don't eat seafood and this place is the best for Seafood lovers. Dropped by this Asian bistro out of sheer coincidence. Since we just wanted to try some Sushi, we ordered the Tori Kachi Uramaki Sushi (Panko Fried Chicken Sushi) which was decent but not extraordinary. Also tried the Massaman Lamb Curry with Jasmine Rice which was suggested to us by the waiter. This one was quite nice and refreshing. The lamb was succulent and cooked with amazing flavors. The curry gave away a mixed taste of Thai and Goan curry vibes. Loved the taste though.

My friends and I had a great time here. The food is delicious and fairly priced. They've also got a great drinks selection with some custom cocktails. We really appreciated how they were able to tailor their menu to fit our needs. Definitely reccomend. (FYI: They've also got live music in the evenings)

This place goes unnoticed just like it did to me. Until my bf decided to take me to this place for lunch. And believe me or not this place is just AMAZING. For a foodie like me this place Is highly recommended. Just about 1 km away from Miramar beach. The rates are pretty good, great Asian cuisine. What can I say about the staff and the ambience. They were extremely friendly, ambience was lit🔥... Being dancers we just couldn't ignore the music. It was just perfect. Calm peaceful and much better than over crowded restaurants. Explosion of flavors made my taste buds fall in love with food all Over again 😍

Really cool place in miramar. Very friendly staff. They were playing choisest '80s english retro songs (I'm a a buff 😛). Excellent food. We had prawn tempura and salmon sushi along with dimsums. Local goan lager beer is a must try too. Please do visit this place.

When i was in Goa i visited the oak barrel with my friends for the lunch we went to that place afternoon 1pm and kitchen close at 3pm.<br/><br/>The location of the place is in prime location of the panjim . We were staying at calangute from that place we were riding to this place it was 18 km from my hotel to this restaurant . It took 38 mins but the place was worth it.<br/><br/>The ambience and decor are quite good. The place has eatery and bar too . They have well maintained the seating arrangements they have one upper deck too you can choose it where you want to sit it.<br/>The place serves best Asian food in panjim i can say it .<br/>They play really good music and when you are there you get positive vibes through this place , the bar , good food & good music .<br/><br/>The service is soo quick and prompt . Never thought of trying Asian in Goa but I am do glad we chose to come here for lunch. The food was so so so good and yummy..<br/>We ate all vegan food which includes dimsum, veg tempura sushi and pad thai noodles..<br/>It was a perfect Saturday lunch along with some beer!

Have visited this place several times along with multiple home deliveries. The food is consistently good. Their manager is such a nice friendly guy who really values each customer. The bartender makes delicious cocktails. Its my go to place for oriental cravings.

The Oak Barrel is a must visit place for all Japanese and Thai food lovers. This has by far been one of my best dining experiences. The staff is so gerenous and kind. I loved their dumplings and Thai green chicken curry with burnt garlic friend rice. Definitely coming back here to try their sushi .. a must visit place if you're in Panjim, may it be for a date or a family meal. The service is prompt and the food is delicious!

A small Asian bistro located in Miramar, with quirky interiors and an alluring ambience. Although they have a limited seating, you will not feel that it's cramped and the seating upstairs gives a secluded feel. Although the service was a little slow, the food was excellent and the staff were well mannered. The menu is put together very well with a wide range of dim sums, sushis and some wacky cocktails.<br/><br/>We were first served some kimchi and pickled lotus stems. Very few places in Goa serve a good kimchi; and The Oak Barrel is definitely one of those. The crunchy lotus stems had a delicate flavor, something we tried for the first time and really loved. We tried the Char Sui Pork Dim sum, Taipei Style Chicken and some wine.<br/><br/>A Cantonese style of steamed dumplings, dim sums are small bite sized portions. We were served 6 piping hot pork dim sums in a bamboo steamer. The delectable pork filling, wrapped in a delicate outer cover won our hearts. Beautifully executed and a must try!<br/><br/>The chicken starter was suggested to us by our server. Small sized chicken pieces cooked in a sweet and spicy sauce and garnished with some crispy spinach. The sauce was delectable and had a unusual flavour, unlike the usual sweet and spicy sauces. The spinach not only added to the look of the dish, but also gave the dish the crispy element that it needed.

On a Saturday evening, I was craving for Sushi and Oak barrel satisfied me with their delicious range of assorted sushi's!<br/>Ambience is fitting of any Asian restaurant with its low lighting, cozy seating, soft music and attention to detail. Too ideal for a date!<br/>On arrival, we were served their customary Kimchi and pickled lotus stems, which we loved!<br/>Taipei style Chicken, which were crispy fried chicken in some sort of Asian chilly sauce. Delish!<br/>XO prawns is another favorite here! Highly recommended.<br/>But we came here for the Sushi, and so we ordered the Non-veg Sushi platter, which consisted of Japanese tuna, salmon, crab, prawn and chicken (3 sushi's of each type) served alongside wasabi, soy sauce and pickled diakon. Good sushi rice (soft, sticky, delicate and suble), and the tuna and salmon were soft and almost melted in my mouth. That's when you know it's good Sushi!<br/>Wok tossed noodles is to die for here! Huge quantity too. But I was most intrigued by the cut on the veggies- zucchini, cross shaped carrots and broccoli! The variety of mushrooms used also stood out for me!<br/>We were extremely satisfied after our meal, I'd love to visit again!<br/>

We went for dinner at The Oak Barrel since is a highly recommended place to be visited. And it stands up to its name. <br/><br/>The atmosphere is vibrant and people seemed to enjoy a good food with satisfaction. They had live music and everyone was relaxed and having fun.<br/><br/>Service was a bit slow from the kitchen but the waiters did their best to assist us. They are good hosts.<br/><br/>For food we had Cherry Blossom (tuna and salmon) sushi, Raw salmon Maki, Kai Rad Prik Chicken and we got some complimentary Kimchi and local pickles to start the evening.<br/>Sushi was above average for Indian restaurants, for sure. The Kai Rad Prik was just beautiful. Tender chicken in sticky thai sauce, amazing. Even the kimchi was good.<br/>Definitely a good place to have dinner.

My fiancé and I were feeling experimental and decided to have some sushi, since Oak Barrel was on Swiggy. <br/><br/>Since then we’ve become huge fans of their sushi. Our favourite is the Tori Maki Urakachi! We’ve also tried the Ebi Maki and have nothing negative to say. <br/><br/>The best part is that they present it so well even when it’s a home delivery and give you all the accompaniments as well. We visited this place on a Thursday evening mainly for the sushi. We ordered the salmon maki roll and chicken pan fried noodles, both were on point. They suggested us to try their starter- chicken Shanghai satan, which turned out to be the best among the three dishes. Since we were just two fellow diners, we were quite full and had no room for dessert, waiting for the next visit to try some. Overall the service is warm & friendly and the food is totally worth the taste and quality they provide.

I visited this place few days back. Not so far from Miramar beach and dona Paula, it's ambiance is cozy, and the welcome was with a smile.<br/><br/>As we were already full for trying Miramar famous stalls, we just ordered red wine sangria and couple of staters to start. I liked the red wine sangria but can't say the best. Staters were decent. Overall 4* is what i can give. But i do recommend if u like small and cozy seatings .

Whether a date, a friendly reunion or a family dinner, The Oak Barrel has everything you need to enjoy Asian cuisine in the city. Good music and efficient service add to it. We started with Prawn tempura uramaki (sushi), which was pleasant. For mains, we went with veg(tofu) TOB grills with herbs and fresh basil sauce -Vegetarians can enjoy a wholesome meal with their TOB grills, and their delightful Thai green chicken curry with burnt garlic rice. Overall we had a good experience here and would surely visit again.

Great place with a great ambience. It is quite evident that a lot of attention to detail has been paid to the interiors as well as the food. The menu is curated with a myriad of cuisines like Japanese, Chinese and Thai but not so large as to confuse you. We tried the California Roll Uramaki. The combination of crabstick meat and avocado is surprisingly tasty although the avocado was a tad unripe giving it a slightly bitter aftertaste. <br/>We also tried the assorted Nigiri, which has 3 pieces. One each of Tuna, Salmon and Prawn which wasnt available so we were offered a choice for the 3rd piece. The salmon was super fresh and so was the tuna. <br/>We also tried their summer cocktails. Created with Urrak the local seasonal liquor. Sadly, they didnt live up to our expectations although the combinations were right. Just need some finishing touches.

From the staff to the chefs and of course the food, Oak Barrel delivers everytime! A great place for delectable asian fare- sushi, dumplings, curries and everything in between- absolutely delicious. Thank you Nathan, Sajid and Chef Rana for the most amazing meals!

Great place to watch a game of football if that's what you're into. Love the dumplings, wonton and the dips. Highly recommend. If you live in the area they deliver through food delivery services.

A small place with a lot of promise and lots of decorative barrels is what Oak Barrel is all about. It has been on my list forever and when we finally managed to have a meal there, we instantly regretted not visiting it earlier.<br/><br/>We were served with the customary Kimchi and pickled lotus stems when we arrived. We really enjoyed the lotus stems.<br/><br/>My dad was a little apprehensive about the Udon soup but once he had it, he absolutely loved it. It was a light clear soup with veggies and noodles. It was extremely flavourful and left us wanting for more.<br/>We tried the chicken katsu sushi and kung fu tofu for starters. I loved the sushi and it is a little bigger than the ones I usually have. The sushi was not only plated beautifully but it was colourful as well. I am not exaggerating when I describe the tofu as delicious soft clouds. They were so soft and so yummy. I totally recommend this even to non vegetarians.<br/><br/>For the main course we went for exotic veggies in chilly basil sauce with burnt garlic fried rice. The gravy was good and the fried rice won our hearts. The combination enhanced the taste of the meal.<br/><br/>We were too full for dessert so we let that pass.<br/>Oak barrel is on the main road but there is parking space around. They also play live music and have good bar options.<br/><br/>The staff is friendly, helpful and their service is quick. They have a limited menu but the food they serve is very delicious.<br/>I recommend Oak Barrel to those who love south Asian food and those who want to try that cuisine for the first time.

Chinese food was very impressive! I personally mostly go there for the coffee and brownie icecream, love the combo! The band night is fun too

I've visited only once before for their sushi which was quite good and enough for me to recommend people for dates, family meals and more. However, I never managed to dine a la carte at the restaurant until last weekend. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. Prompt service, excellent food, great cocktails and some wonderful music as expected! I tried the Pad Thai noodles and the Burnt Garlic Fried Rice with the popular Black Pearl Chicken. I also tried the tossed trio of mushrooms which featured shitake mushrooms and white/snow fungus, really interesting and delicious<br/><br/>However, my standout dish of the day was the Hunan Style Lamb! Succulent and tender slices of lamb packed with lots of heat, flavours and grilled to absolute perfection with an almost melt-in-mouth texture

The oak barrel is so very awesome place in regards of ambience as well food taste. We have tried their dimsums, non-vegetarian sushi platter, Taipei chicken, sanghai Satan chicken, phad Thai noodles, green Thai curry, spicy garlic noodles, water chestnuts in chilly plum sauce, and honey chilly lotus stem and to our surprise every dish tasted yummy. A great place for those who love Thai and Chinese cuisine. Great staff, great ambience and great food and I must add that the portion is so good compared to other Chinese n Thai restaurants in Panjim. Only flaw is that their service is bit slow but if you ignore that it's a Great place for B-Day celebration or a simple family dine out. Highly recommended.

Took out my little sister at this eatery on the main road about a week before Christmas. Has a very urban vibe and a laid-back feel to it. We went there on a Thursday night so there was no live music, but what compensated was a game (don't ask me what it was) but we won whiskies at the end of it. Woohoo!<br/>Had just two dishes -<br/>- Tempura Prawn Sushi - served with pickled lotus stems and wasabi & soya sauce, the sushi was delicious and so filling. Aah perfect comfort food!<br/>- Crab soup - This one has an uncanny resemblance to our old school Sweet Corn soup and smells a little odd. That said, we finished our bowls.<br/>Overall the place had the right Christmas cheer and crowd. Waiters were extremely courteous and the owner too wore a smile on his face. Would surely recommend!

Dim yet intriguing interior, this place serves great oriental food. The black pearl and burnt garlic being my must have every visit, the Thai gravy is equally nice and almost everything else we have tried out so far. However, the sushi needs to be 'upgraded' specially cuz its supposed to be made of only fresh and not preserved stuff. <br/>Over all very nice place, good service, there's place for 2 & 4 wheeler parking. The food will make you come back for more.

One of my favourite restaurants. .... been here over 15 times if not more.... wondeful food and ambience..... worth every penny... flavour are out of this world. .... must try ..

This place is a gem for Asian food lovers. Me and my brother tried this place for lunch on a sat afternoon. Easily got place for 2. Chic place with a very classy yet casual vibe. What we ordered -<br/><br/>1. Exotic vegetable dumpling - absolute delight to my taste bud. Smooth and perfectly filled with veggies. Must try<br/><br/>2. Vegetation sushi (avocado cream and cucumber) - again a must try. The presentation was as good as the dish and those dips were cherry on the cake.<br/><br/>3. Burnt garlic fried rice and stir fried vegetable curry - large portion and hence could not complete this. But this tasted well as well but can't beat above 2 dishes. Above 2 dishes were actually the best and made our 0 full.<br/><br/>Damage - 1900 which is quite reasonable considering we ordered 4 dishes like crazy hoggers.<br/><br/>Will def visit this place when I am going to Goa again !<br/><br/>

So this review is long overdue. Oak barrel has been since a while one of my most favourite places in Goa. When I think oriental, I think oak barrel. I’ve been here several times and have recommended this place to a lot of friends who moved here or who hadn’t heard of it back when it started and no one has been disappointed. The decor of the place is beautiful yet subtle and the lighting is done beautifully just to set the perfect mood for any occasion. It’ll be difficult to recommend dishes cause I love pretty much everything here but my favourites are the dimsums, char Sui pork, chicken sui Mai or the lamb dumplings... pure bliss! Another dish that I particularly love is their laksa. It’s so good that I have to order it almost every time I’m there. On most days there’s live music and my personal favourites play every second and fourth Saturday’s of the month. They’re are beyond amazing and it’s worth going there just to listen to them. The manager Nathan is an absolute delight, super pleasant and great to talk to. Well I think I’ve said enough... if you already haven’t been there, make sure you check it out soon

A beautiful place to dine with friends or family when you are in GOA. The restaurant is easy to navigate and not that crowded, so dont have to wait for the table for long.They have 2 floor sitting bifurcated as bar on the ground floor and dining on the first floor with live orchestra being played beautifully.<br/><br/>The USP of this place is that they have few really nice options in chinese and other cuisine to order which is nicely prepared and served( trust on the staff when you ask them, they will tell you the best dishes to order).<br/><br/>The quality of the food is much better and the food looks really good and tempting. The price of food is neither on the cheaper side, nor on the higher side...its quite expensive but its worth it.<br/><br/>We ordered chinese and the preparations were really nice. The staff is really nice and it opens till late, so when you are in panaji and dont find a place to dine...you have this option always opened up and is a must visit place.

It’s one of my favourite restaurant and has a beautiful ambience. The food is really nice. My favourite is the chicken Tom yum soup which is really good. Been here a couple of times and enjoyed everything that I’ve ordered each time. The service is quiet quick. During the summer they had a wide variety of urrack cocktails which were nice and refreshing. Keep up the good food quality!

A great place to try something different. We tried the chicken and veg dimsums and chicken TOB grill. The TOB grill is just a awesome meal with tasty chicken and some exotic ingredients like sea weed and red cabbage a real treat. The dimsums thou for me lacked taste. The service is pretty good

Undoubtedly the best sushi in Goa. The fish is always good quality, the maki is rolled perfectly and doesn’t crumble. Service is excellent and the ambience is great, especially with the live music. The menu is well-put together and the seafood is always perfectly cooked, especially the snapper in mustard sauce. Portions are pretty good and the best thing about their Chinese food is you don’t get that awful metallic-synthetic aftertaste of MSG that has ruined nearly every other Asian restaurant for me. Would be great if they served beef though!

The fact that it serves sushi in Panjim is the usp for me. There is another dish that's uncommon that they serve and that's the lotus stem, which is deliciously cooked. The service is good and the ambience too

Ordered the mocktails / cocktails.The food was tasty, service was alert.As the name suggests, this place is meant to be a fun place / Bistro, where crowd comes in for drinks; bonus being good food available.Unfortunately, bar prices are too stiff (eg the lowest priced whisky(large) alongwith soda would totally cost ~Rs 350!). Suggest you guys revise downwards your bar prices & make them more enticing, so that liquor volumes & sales go up & you also get more footfalls.Well done on the food front though.

It was a girls night out and it couldn’t have been better than this. The ambience, food and service were all 5 star worthy for me. Their XO prawns are to die for. And do not forget to try their “Ooey Gooey Brownie”. Your taste buds will worship you!

Been to the restaurant for the first time.. the seats upstairs are low so for a tall person tad bit uncomfy.. shifted to the table just next to the musicians ( who were an adorable n talented duo) but loud and below the AC... 😒 the startes were amazing... the lamb was lil dry but nevertheless well done... so was the sushi.. our main course got mixed up so we ended up waiting an extra hour despite ordering early 🙄 ... however the red snapper american grill with noodles was lip smacking! <br/>On the whole despite the few glitches ( maybe my bad luck) it has a wonderful ambience .. easy access... delicious food and an amazing bar! <br/>4* for u :)

I have tried Shanghai Satan chicken as well as fish in the same preparation. This is one dish that's really well seasoned, nothing too overpowering. In addition to this, have also tried Taipei Style chicken, schezwan roast lamb ( give this a pass ), kai rad prik ( give this a pass too ), and tangy thai fry which is good enough. Pan fried chilli snapper is delicious and is a must. Really well cooked fish with great flavour. Have tried a few other vegetarian dishes but none of them were impressive. Order a veg dish only if you must. The noodles were good too, and Laksa with it's creamy rich taste, a good option too. The service is fine and ambience cozy.

I went to The Oak Barrels for lunch with a friend. The atmosphere inside is calming. The decor is simple, with the hanging lights in the centre being the showcase. The seating is quite comfortable. The best part is the location - away from the hustle and bustle of the market, but easily accessible right on the main road.<br/><br/>Coming to the food. We ordered the T.O.B grills. There's an option of choosing your grilled item. Each plate contains a grilled item in a sauce of your choice, rice or noodles and chips or fries.<br/>I choose the grilled vegetables in Thai herbs and basil sauce. I opted for noodles in my dish. It also came with fries.<br/>My friend choose the grilled chicken in BBQ sauce and rice to accompany.<br/>The quantity of the grilled vegetables and the noodles was quite a lot for me. The fries, too, came in a generous amount. The sauce was delicious. My friend enjoyed his grilled chicken as well.<br/><br/>I would definitely come back here for another sumptuous meal.

Absolutely super food... We had the tuna and spicy mayo sushi rolls, chicken and basil dumplings, some noodles and red chili lamb... Loved each and every dish which was pretty big in portion sizing too... Some special offers on champagne made the night even better.. Totally recommend this place... Only if the seating in terms of height was better I would have given it 5 rating...

Well, I dont eat seafood and this place is the best for Seafood lovers. Dropped by this Asian bistro out of sheer coincidence. Since we just wanted to try some Sushi, we ordered the Tori Kachi Uramaki Sushi (Panko Fried Chicken Sushi) which was decent but not extraordinary. <br/>Also tried the Massaman Lamb Curry with Jasmine Rice which was suggested to us by the waiter. This one was quite nice and refreshing. The lamb was succulent and cooked with amazing flavours. The curry gave away a mixed taste of Thai and Goan curry vibes. Loved the taste though.

Went out for dinner yesterday night. I tried Tom Yum soup, Pork Teriyaki, Sangria and Cherry Blossom. The best out of that was Pork Teriyaki. The Tom Yum soup was okay, but the portion was huge, and I couldn't finish it. The sushi (Cherry Blossom) was listed as a house special, but it was the most disappointing dish for me. I have limited exposure to sushi, but I always thought that the strips of the fish were cut thin rather than chunky. Cherry Blossom had thick strips of Tuna and Salmon. The Sangria was okay. I was alone, and my table sat awkwardly on one end. The ambience is 3/5. I found the staff very courteous and polite and they would score 5/5 for me.

Best food I ever had in goa. I like the sushi here basically tried cooked ones. Good sangria cocktail. Even prawns xoxo is very nice. I often visit here. Excellent place and ambiance, live music and good staff.

The Oak Barrel serves some good food.. Once i heard that they started serving sushi I visited them. The ambience is very classy and the staff are very kind and welcoming. Ordered the sushi and the sushi I have had at The Oak Barrel is one of the best I have had in Goa. Cant speak so highly about the other dishes on the menu. The burnt garlic fried rice tasted like a normal fried rice and was a let down. The other dishes also seemed to be pretty average.

Everything that I ordered at the Oak Barrel has been delicious! The dumplings in this place are the best... Char Siu pork dumplings melt in the mouth.. ordered two cause the Man refused to share (seriously that delicious!) Sushi is very good and so are the cocktails... Good staff.<br/>We've visited this place on weekends and there was good live music. good bands.<br/>Given 4.5 cause i felt the seating upstairs wasnt very comfy.

I have visited Oak Barrel a few times now and it has never disappointed me. The tangy Thai chicken is just awesome, the chicken dim sum one of the best, the garlic fired rice is also one of its great dishes. The ambience is up to mark. To top it off do try their cinnamon ice cream.

I have to say that the Oak Barrel is becoming a new favourite for Pan Asian cuisine. <br/>I've been there twice and each time pleasantly surprised by the brilliance of their cooking.<br/>We tried the Philadelphia sushi rolls which were Smoked Salmon, cucumber and cream cheese. The rolls were a little too salty and not the best Sushi I've had in Goa, but decent.<br/>The Thai Basil chicken dumplings were good and not too floury. <br/>I loved the Taipei style Chicken and the Hunan Lamb, the meat was so tender and succulent, definitely worth trying. <br/>We tried both the Phad Thai and the Chilli garlic noodles which were authentic and flavoursome, but my dish of the day was definitely the Dark Chocolate Spring rolls. <br/>They're indescribably good and I wouldn't mind gaining a few calories for a little more :)

We tried this place with some friends after a late night show. Although we were really tired, we were really happy with the experience 😊. So we decided to go there again before writing our review. <br/><br/>The Philadelphia smoked salmon sushi 🍣 we tried at the Oak Barrel was surprisingly good. What I really liked about the experience was that they gave the sauce in separate bowls for each person unlike what I have tried at many places.<br/>The starters are also simply amazing. We tried the Taipei style chicken and the Hunan style lamb of which the lamb was so amazing that I just couldn't stop eating. The Taipei style chicken was a little too sweet for my palette. They also have a wide variety of dim sums of which we tried the chicken dim sum in fresh basil and Thai garlic flavor. In the dim sum what stood out for me was that the outer dough was not too thick. <br/>For the main course we had Phad Thai, burnt garlic fried rice and browned garlic noodles. Was not a very big fan of the main course dishes they were all in the sweetish side.<br/>But what made my night and were the dark chocolate spring rolls. I will forget everything else which was not that good just for this dessert. A must try for everyone who visits.<br/><br/>Will definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a Chinese meal on the work night or even over the relaxed weekend.

The plus points of this place are its location in Miramar, its great ambience and good fast service. Very happy with the service speed and food. Had a kings beer with some dumplings and some starters. Got quite full in that. Overall very satisfied!!

This place is the perfect combo of Mouth watering food and great ambience... The green thai curry with jasmine rice is to die for .. and they have vegan options too which is great.. We went in around 2100 and were the only ones at the place. Empty places are always a bother as there's no vibe about the place or worse still, the place isn't good enough and hence not popular. The first floor has low seating, a limited food menu and pushy service. The ambience is fine enough but a couple of the dishes were off the mark and what really bothered me was the pushy service that's trying to constantly upsell - never a mark of a good establishment.

A fairly new restaurant serving Oriental cuisine in Miramar. in North Goa lets you binge on a large variety of sushi without having to take. a trip to Japan! The service is an absolute disaster. The waiters are either over worked and to tired to perform or just don’t care about the service they provide. I am really surprised as to how a place that has such bad service gets a 4.0 rating on Zomato and a 4.7 rating on Facebook.

The food is fantastic, the service - horrible is an understatement. I ordered a coke which took 30 mins to get to me, so I guess let’s not discus about the food. Food quality, quantity and everything to do with the food is brilliant, but just some advice from a foodie, just cause your food is good does not mean your horrible service will be over looked.

We decided to check this place out after Watson's since the latter shuts down quite early. It was a weekday and the place was almost empty. This helped in getting all our orders on table super fast. We had some imported beer, Amrut fusion whiskey accompanied with red snapper chilly, mushrooms and some more starters. The ambiance on the ground floor is perfect for a friends' get together. Food was good and drinks are reasonably priced for the ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, a good place to visit in Panjim if you wish to hang out past midnight.

Located near the Miramar circle in Panjim, it is on two level. Ground floor has the bar and high seating, usually the band performs there and upstairs has low seating booth style. The bar has a nice line-up and tent card with specials are placed on the table. It is a good watering hole but we ended up only for dinner. The service stuff is prompt and well trained. Their recommendations are good as well.<br/><br/>In food, we ordered, Manchow Chicken Soup, Chicken Dim Sum spl (outstanding), Hunan Style Lamb, and Wok Tossed Noodles. Each item had unique flavours and tasted fabulous. We weren't happy with the lamb, on giving our feedback, the chef visited the table to understand what was missed. He offered to prepare a fresh or a different dish. I was really impressed with their gesture and personal connect. Rarely does this happen, this shows their commitment toward their patrons. For dessert, we tried coconut creme caramel. Super twist to the caramel custard, I couldn't stop digging into it. Cosy ambience and interesting menu. The Sweet Corn Soup, Mushroom and Spinach Dimsums, and X.O. Prawns we ordered were well prepared and presented. Service was prompt and courteous. The catch: I was quite sure that the Bira (on tap) I was served was flat, and I did point that out to the barman, although he disagreed. There were a few power outages while we were there that plunged the entire place into darkness. Portable emergency lamps came to the rescue. Guessing that outages are less common in Goa than they are in Bangalore. Overall, worth a visit if you're a big friends/family group looking for a good restobar in the Miramar area.

Poor service....no order could be placed just after entering the restaurant because the kitchen closes at 11pm. We asked for the reservation even before coming to restaurant but still they don't have the courtesy to tell us that the kichen will close at 11pm.

When there will friends few days back. We were a big group and we reached all most on time if last order for the night. But the restaurant still gave us good enuf time to decide and order from soup to dessert patiently. The food was good, service was great and so was the ambience. On weekends this place even has live music👍👍👍

Dropped in for lunch at this lovely place. Had Bira on top and a Mai Tai (nothing beats a drink in the afternoon), the Mai Tai was perfect! Had the Exotic Vegetable Dim sums which is as exotic as it sounds. Full marks to these guys for the dim sums. For the mains we had the garlic noodles and Chilli chicken. We weren't disappointed at all, especially when the manager (Nathan) served us their in-house cinnamon ice cream complimentary. Definitely going back!

Amazing place to fire up your tastebuds with authentic Thai and Chinese flavors. The food is tasteful and presented just as brilliantly. The restaurant also has a great variety of cocktails. I love the interiors of the place with the low seating in a dim lighting. The staff is friendly and efficient. Definitely worth giving a shot to if you find yourself in that neighborhood.

Sometimes last minute plan end up the best plans ever! Last minute lunch hunt got me to this amazing Asian cuisine restaurant and trust me I had the best beetroot momos and superb delicious burnt garlic rice with veggies! To top my afternoon we ordered a jar full of red wine spicy sangria and we can't thank God enough for this amazing lunch! Thanks Oak Barrel we will be meeting often.

A small cozy place in Miramar, the location is great and with no problem for parking. Food is yummy and a good place to spend some time. It gives you full option of bar, so if you are looking for a place for drinks than this is the one..
