Authentic Goan taste in all food dishes. Thali is wat I loved the most. Kismoor of prawn/shrimps 🦐 gives the ultimate flavour to the platter. Do try if you crave to enjoy good food. Chicken xakuti (शाकोती ) have authentic taste and do try it without fail

a old and good place at fontainhas, panaji. they mainly serve thalis, but you can also order for individual items. we tried the chicken thali and fish thali respectively. the chicken thali was really delicious. they serve chicken gravy which was paired with rice and rotis. the fish thali was amazing too! there were various items such as fish fry, mussels and gravy with rice and rotis. a must try place if you crave goan food and a full tummy at a pocket friendly cost!

Had the yummiest Prawns curry and Thali here. Was recommended by a local, for a quick, no frills meal. And it lived up to the expectation. It's literally a hidden gem just 200 m from Panjim Post Office.

If you are searching for typical goan food in Panaji then this place is for you. We tried bangada and chonak thali. They were just delicious. The quantity is very good and the price is also reasonable. The service is very prompt and very clean seating available. One can have their food here and can go for a walk through Fontainhas. I would definitely recommend this hotel if anyone is looking for good goan food at a reasonable price in Panaji.

One of the oldest restaurant for Fish thali. They served king fish thali with 2 big pieces of king fish. Kokum curry was refreshing. We also tried veg thali and it was delicious too. If you are passing by panaji , pls go and have lunch here😋😋

📍77 years old restaurant serving authentic Goan Food in Panjim❤️ 📍Anandashram, a restaurant housed in an inner open courtyard of an old hindu heritage in Fontainhas. Started by Haldankar family in 1945, Anandashram is one of the oldest place to serve authentic Goan delicacies. Way back when it started, people were served food on ground on patravalis (Banana Leaves). Back in the days when bus transport was not very frequent, students used to stay in the lodge operated by Haldankars in the same house, that's how the name "Anand Ashram" - a place nostalgic to many Goans. What we tried!! • Chonak Thali - ₹200 • Chicken Sukka & Roti - ₹240 ........................................ 📍Location : Hotel Anandashram, 31st January Road, Altinho, Panjim-Goa. (Traceable on Google maps). 🗓Open seven days a week ⏰️Timing : 12pm to 4pm

If you are looking for a Goan thali at a decent rate in panjim this is one good place for it. Have been going here for years now and the taste has remained the same. Only issue is sometimes you need to wait to get place as there’s always crowd here. Do try their Serra Dura for dessert.

Nearly 75+ year old restaurant of Goa 🍽️ 200 year old building with Portuguese Architecture and well maintained old building 🍽️ Food here is awesome and possess traditional goan touch. 🍽️ Service is moderate and clothes could do better with ambience and hygiene. 🍽️ Menu is limited as well as special, this restaurant is famous for traditional goan thali. 🍽️ vegetarian food is not that great here, Try fish thali which almost cost 200/- with different fishes.

A very old authentic Goan food hotel located in the heart of Panjim and in the vicinity of Fontainhans. The ambiance has nothing fancy about it but the taste of the food that too in a very pocket friendly price makes up for everything. I must say it is even much much better than the upscale Konkani Kanteen.

Food Quality is very tasty. Especially Chanak, Kingfish, prawn curry, kismoor and tisryo... I have give three stars for service since I have experienced it during my last visit to the restaurant. Sometimes we need to tell them to get a warm food otherwise chances are there that u might get room temperature food with curry which is luke warm. Chapati with was not at all up to mark. The owner should not neglect this shortcomings in their serving food. Otherwise, the competitor will take over.

One of the hidden gems of Goa. Authentic Goan sea food, lip smacking taste. Small canteen , not very crowded, really good food with super fast service. And THE BEST SERRADURA you cannot miss.!!

Good food at reasonable rates. The thalis are economical. We had tried chonak and bangda thali, along with chicken and a veg thali. Everything tasted decent. Especially the bangda fish. All the thalis costed us in between 150-200. Except for a plate of prawns fry, which was tasteful indeed but had costed us 400 bucks, which could have been a bit less. Overall, highly recommended if you are not up for cafe meals that are abundant in the said area.

As soon as we entered we were like, where the hell have we come.. Is it a safe place ? Will the food be hygenic ? But just based on the reviews we continued to dine and were amazed as soon as we got the food on or table...excellent taste...

The place have some good local cuisine experience around the Fontainhas area. The thali is a bit expensive, but still affordable from panjim standards. Taste is overally good. Hygine can be better. Give it a shot

The place is nothing more than for food! It's a 77 year old restaurant running well and maintaining taste. It is a place which serves Fish Thali even in the evening. Had tried the Mackerel Fish Thali and Bombay Duck Fry. The Veggies in the thali are very taste and are made with very basic ingredients and nothing fancy, I think due to which the taste is nice! The fish curry and rice is good in taste, but have had better fish curry at other places in Goa. The "Ambotik" is the best dish that I found in the Thali, as it is sour and flavourful with few spices. The service is good as they asked at regular intervals if any refilling required in the thali, as the thali offers unlimited chapati, rice and fish curry. Overall a good place to visit and enjoy the Fish Thali in the evening.
