Review Black Vanilla - Panjim

What a sumptuous, satisfying brunch experience. I ordered one portion each of pancake with fresh fruits and maple syrup, stuffed jacket potatoes with Goan sausages, bacon delight, And the salmon sandwich in panini with sun dried tamatoes . This was a greedy over order for 2. This order would suffice for 4. I loved every bite of the authentic, home cooked style of food.

Great food great coffee. Bang on the main road and yet so easy to miss. Parking can be an issue but you should find space across the road. Good sandwiches and pizza. Good coffee. Although They are a little tight on space. Staff is effecient and not intrusive. Overall a great place for conversations

A small and quiet place. Very nicely done interiors and cozy lighting. Needless to say amazing for dates :D. A lot of couples here! There's a high chance you'll not find a place to sit because of the limited seating here. As far as the food goes, it's pretty good! The burgers were filling :). Good choice of beverages (non alcoholic) too. All in all you'll find the rates are overpriced. But with the ambience in here, and the cozy interiors, you'll definitely have a good time and won't mind anyway.

Coffee The coffee here was really good, they serve Lavazza with a cookie. Ambiance Interiors are great, it's very artistic in here. One could sit and work as well from here. The only problem is if 2-3 tables are occupied it's gets a bit too loud. Location It's right opposite Kala academy. Could be quite tricky to find parking though. Overall its a great place!

Located on the main arterial road of Panaji you can miss this’s place. It’s near Kala Academy with parking just across the road. The cafe is a quick brunch and coffee destination and a very good one to. So if you are in panjim and wanna have some nice tasty tidbits and coffee and this is the place. Sandwiches are just okay. They need to change their menu a bit n make more interesting perhaps. Cold coffee was good though. Menu is limited but one can still choose from . The upper sit out is interesting with novel interior. Road below looks beautiful from the arched window. One can spend time with books too. Also the prices were on the higher side. Doubt I'll be returning when there is Cremeux and Pastry Cottage close enough.

Black vanilla absolutely lives upto the word cafe and cafe culture. All the food and drink items are tasty, service is fast and nice. There is something magical about this place which will drag you inside every time you pass on the road next to it. The best coffee place i've been to in Goa. Tasty (simple) food, good pie (try blueberry cheesecake) but most of all great atmosphere. Perfect for a date or if you want an afternoon reading on the terrace with pie and coffee. Recommend!! Also breakfast is perfect if you're not into Indian breakfasts.

Great decor and perfect ambience for a good cup of cappuccino and their special NY cheese cake. Staff is cool, helpful in making the right choices, take a seat by the window on the first floor, and enjoy the beautiful sea view from within really smart and colourful interiors.

Good place to spend time and have a nice chat. To be honest I liked their older arrangement. Which was like am ordinary Cafe. Upper floor was all sitting arrangement and down it was all cooking place etc. Now it's more like shop rather than eating place. Still it's nice and decent. Service is good and coffee here is awesome as always. There are some minor changes in menu I guess. We all change with time, they also did. Now we just don't know how convenient that change is! I will surely visit again and edit my review. But I highly recommend you to visit this place. Best place to spend time alone, doing your work, sipping coffee.

Love the coffee! The chicken burger was crisp and well cooked. Great place to sit and read. They have some books there in case you haven't taken any of your own. You'd want to visit this place in Panjim if your looking for somewhere you read and have a quick bite. They have a good menu and perfect for people with a sweet tooth!

A very cute and a pretty cafe to be. There is a tree shaped bookshelf with a good collection of books which one can read from. The coffee and the food is good and economical.

A cozy and fancy cafe located in the rush life of panjim city. The ambience gives you a soothing feel which makes spending evenings at this cafe an ultimate option to relax. They have a variety of food options. One of the most recommended beverages would be cafe mocha. Though it's pricey, you'd surely love you at least vist the place once. Their thin crust pizzas are also a great option to choose. While snacking could be fulfilled by their muffins and croissants.

OMG this place is so cool! I love the ambience, and the food is spectacular. The service is too good while the stewards and manager really look after the customers well. I had two types of burger yesterday and it was mouth watering. It's better than McD and KFC, totally worth the amount I paid. And it's not even that expensive. Quite reasonable for that kind of filling delicious burger. The ambience had lamps and books and was French themed. It looked so oldish... something which I like. It had that feeling of a Tavern. Just too amazing. Everyone should visit this place!!!!

Wow. It was great. The music, gooey cake the deco(Christmas), service. One of the best in town. But while entering make sure have enough in ur wallet. Food is delicious and the ambience is perfect. Must try it.

A lovely French Cafe facing the banks of a magnificent river, with its queer architecture, is definitely a place to chill out on afternoons with a book and Caesar Salad along with Caffe Americano (Love the continental food here).

Ordered two desserts and coffee. at my request, they made cappuccino on coconut milk, although it is not on the menu. Pictured on Crepes dessert, cooked perfectly. Liked the big wooden tables, good for larger companies. the staff is polite.

Pathetic staff and blatant cheaters, we ordered two bonjour breakfasts and it did not have bacon and we didn't even get any bill deduction. on top of this the staff had the audacity to lie to my sister that he told me they didn't have bacon at the time of order, that dumbo thinks customers are fools they said they gave extra sausage instead which they DID not.. another lie hope the owner reads this and they are charging bloddy 380 rs for what ??? Accidently discovered this cute little place on a road trip in Goa and then kept going to it for a late night coffee on all the days I stayed in Dona Paula. The place has a very cosy vibe and is very artistically done. Loved the design of the bookshelf. They have a small collection of classics which can prove to be a good company with a good cup of coffee. They have good cheese cakes and crepes. The coffee was strong and good. The staff is extremely courteous.

This was long pending review for cafe which we randomly entered one afternoon and fell in love with ambience as well as food. Excellent and well thought interiors with semi round windows, book tree and comfort seating.<br/><br/>We ordered pizza vendue which had thin crisp base exactly the way I like, loaded with jalapeno, olives and capsicum and drizzled with olive oil and herbs. This place is located in panjim , opp the exit of Kala academy, parking space is a bit of a problem here. The ambience is cozy, the pizza was of thin crust ( i prefer thick crust) , the pastries were too sweet. The place is a little on the expensive side. The service is<br/>good.

We stayed in Panjim for 4 days and visited this place daily. Nice ambience and good coffee with helpful staff.<br/>On our last day we had to visit ATM at night and the guys went extra mile to actually pick up my husband from the ATM point on their own considering he had sought directions for the same and it was raining while I was waiting at the cafe for him to return. That’s called going that extra mile and really appreciate. Whenever we go to Goa we will definitely go for coffee.

Having a sweeth tooth and a special liking for chocolate made me fall in love with this gooey chocolate cake topped with a gallop of vanilla icecream and a brownie shake definitely made me the happiest babyyyy. <br/>The cake literally melted in my mouth at every bite. I've tried almost everything off their menu.Its slightly on the pricey side. However, on my recent visits there the dishes i ordered didn't seem fresh at all!. However they offer some detox and fresh pressed juices and also have a variety of breads for retail. It's small little place so wouldn't recommend it for larger groups.

I've been to Black Vanilla a few times.<br/>Their blueberry cheesecake is a MUST have! It's without a doubt, the best I've ever had.<br/>Another time, I came here for a light breakfast of croissant and coffee. The coffee was good but the croissant was tough to bite. It was impossible to cut it with a knife and fort. I'm not sure if it wasn't baked well or it was leftover from the previous day but I didn't enjoy it at all.<br/>However, the decor here is cute and charming. It's a nice place to hang out with a cup of coffee.

Been here twice and each and every time I end up having their New York Cheesecake. I love cheesecakes in general and now I've found a spot to get rid of those cravings here in Goa.<br/>The only negative part of this place is, that the servers are very slow! Black vanilla, a cafe with the most beautiful interior. Situated in panjim, opposite to kala academy. This place will never fail to impress you with its beautiful and cozy interior. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but the food is definitely worth it. <br/>I had the chicken BBQ burger which was very delicious and filling. Alongside with cheese garlic bread which was also quite tasty. I also had their drink juiced up- which is like a fruit punch, it was amazing, thick and creamy. So good!<br/>And for desserts i had the death by chocolate pastry, wont say it was that great but it was good, it was slightly dry it could have been more moist. They also serve delicious pizza’s. Overall the food was great. And the ambience makes your visit worth every bite there. Will definitely visit again to try out their amazing dishes.

I usually parcel salads from black vanilla but once decided to sit at the cafe and eat . On doing so I noticed that the portion I get while taking s parcel is half the amount of what I was served on my plate at the cafe, while paying the SAME price for both . On asking the staff at black vanilla about the difference the staff ( not in a very nice manner ) responded saying the takeaway containers are small in size . So I asked him why not charge half the rate if you're giving me half the amount of food to which he said he cannot do that . Sadly he didn't even seem to agree on using two containers instead . Shame .

It's a Fancy bakery located in panaji near kala academy. Is a kinda a fine dine bakery as the rates a quiet high as compared to other good bakeries one just next to it is also cheaper than this .But the ambience is also good and gives u a feel of fine dine kinda place.<br/>Must try place.

Decided to try it after multiple recommendations from my friends.<br/><br/>🔺The Ambience is great, the warm lights, the posters, the design of the seats really make it appealing. The counter is well laid out and showcases a variety of desserts ranging from Pastries to Doughnuts, which makes you wanna spend even more.<br/><br/>🔺The Food although fairly priced could be better. I ordered a Double Cheddar Beef Burger, I personally felt that the patty is dry for my liking and lacked flavour. Even the dripping cheddar couldn't make up for it. The sauce although, made it slightly better. I would still go back for more in future.<br/><br/>🔺The Staff is really polite, the service was quick. I would suggest them to clear the plates either when the guest is still sitting or when he has left the restaurant. Clearing the plates right when you are trying to get up gives an impression that you want to get rid of them asap.<br/><br/>To sum it up Black Vanilla is a restaurant located in the heart of the city with good ambience & staff but a little work on the food department could make it a big hit.

A small cafe located in Campal. It's right opposite Kala Academy. Love the ambience, gives you a nice and warm feeling. A little on the pricey side but surely worth it. What caught my eye was the bookshelf which was lined with some great books. As for the food, we ordered Blackened Carrot and Beetroot Burger, BBQ Chicken Burger, Lemon Ice Tea, Watermelon Juice and Red Velvet Choco Delight.<br/><br/>The juice was good but the ice tea wasn't that great. We asked for less sugar but there was no sugar at all. The burgers came with a side of potato wafers and were absolutely amazing. Loved both the burgers. What actually surprised me was how delicious the vegetarian burger was. Definitely a great option for vegetarians. The red velvet was also good. Would definitely visit this place again to try out some more dishes from their menu.

Received a coupon for this place on Bookmyshow. Centrally located, this place has a variety of desserts and savoury items. <br/>Went for the Cold Coffee With Ice Cream and Macaroon. The latter was chewy and did not have a great texture. The lower level has the counter and 2 single seater stools with tables while upstairs there are about 6 tables with chairs. When I went upstairs, I could just say woww... What caught my attention was a bookshelf designed like a tree and few of bestsellers peeking out at me.<br/><br/>The food took me by surprise. It was an open sandwich with a dome of Shredded chicken mixed with barbecue sauce and some lettuce. And it was to say the least, MIND BLOWING. It tasted wonderful and was filling. Black vanilla situated opposite kala academy in Panjim, is quite an appealing place and will definitely catch your attention. Their desserts and snacks will definitely not disappoint you. Price comparatively higher to the other cafes nearby but quality won't be compromised.

They have an amazing beetroot and carrot burger which blew my mind. It is by far one of the most incredible burgers that makes beetroot so awesome. The quantity was quite filling and man did I enjoy every moment of it. The coffees and shakes were equally filling. A good food experience and a must visit when in Goa.

Black Vanilla is a quaint pretty looking cafe right across from Kala Academy in Panjim. As you enter, you get a sweet whiff of bakery products. I ordered a tomato, basil and goat cheese sandwich on multi grain bread. It was an open sandwich which tasted great! Although the goat cheese isn’t too visible on the sandwich making you wonder if there’s enough of it, you can taste it well enough. I then ordered the only veg burger on the menu: Blackened carrot and beet root burger. It was excellent! And quite filling. I wish they had more options to choose from. A glass of fresh orange juice went well with my meal. There was one peculiarity though. The price of the juice (275/-) was much more than the burger (190/-)!! Also, out of the already few options in crepes, only one option was available. I just hope they extend their menu to include more (veg) options and have a more logical? pricing. Service was also good. Overall a recommended place to go for breakfast/brunch. I would rate it as 4.5!

The brownie was amazing. The Warm chocolate gooieness along with the cold melty ice cream was just the perfect combination. The cheesecake was perfect with its soft creamy consistency and just the right amount of tartness! 🤩

Late-night sugar-run. My previous visits have always been good. The Chocolate Mousse this time looked great, so i went for it. Turned out OK-ish (quite tough and doughy to cut into). Tasty all the same, but slightly different from before. Just placing it on the record, FWIW!

Ambience is excellent, food was also good.. You have good view of miramar beach from the window. However the service was not upto the mark. Especially the fat person at the billing was extremely rude. He was not interested to take order and behaving as though he is some company Ceo, too much wrong attitude..

The sandwiches were disappointing. Tried the pulled pork sandwiche, kheema with cheddar cheese sandwich and a non-vegetarian club sandwich. All 3 sandwiches were very average.

On my recent visit to Goa i badly wanted to have some good dessert.. found this place while roaming around and i am glad i visited them..We ordered blueberry cheesecake and chocolate cupcake which were really delicious.. ordered Cappachino and cold coffee which were good too..

Had a BBQ chicken pizza and it was fantastic!! The cakes look soo beautiful and delicious. This was the cutest place I've ever visited... Great place to hang out with family and friends... Loved it!!!

While the facade is full of hanging flower pots and ferns, the inside is a mix of rustic charm and sleek black accents. You’ll find a wooden tree-shaped book-case, colorful plastic chairs and wooden stools besides a glass case laden with goodies. The highlight is a gorgeous chandelier made out of a cartwheel and filament bulbs in jars! I tried their half-and-half pizza which was decent. I liked the Pork Chorizo side much more than the salami side. Anyway, I would definitely like to go back and try more things off their menu.

I tried the double cheese beef burger and also the hot chocolate and it was amazing😍. It was worth the money. I'm definitely visiting this place again.

The food is great ambience is also good. The new York cheese cake is a must try here. And the quality of the food is just amazing. The ice tea is also good and refreshing

This place gives me the feel of being in Bombay. Beautiful cosy ambience(I like the bookshelf corner). Their pork glazed burger,chicken pulled sandwich hotdog and a chilled lavassa cold coffee is what you need as a brunch menu.AMAZING. These guys are so damn excellent with their service and it's super fast. Well done guys.a must visit .

This is a tricky little place.<br/>The majority of the people are drawn to the place because of it's quirky vibe.<br/><br/>When you enter, you're met with coffee shop charm and browsing through their menu, everything looks great.<br/><br/>They have a wide variety and range of options and you will be spoilt for choice. Your food will come and it tastes great! But as you eat your open sandwhich that you paid 250Rs for, you will realise that it's completely not worth the money.<br/><br/>We tried their pulled pork, pulled chicken sandwhich, pepperoni pizza, meat overload sandwhich, feta salad, spicy mexican sandwhich,cheese cake, DBC, mojitos and ice tea. The theme was common. The food tasted great but it's high price was not justified.<br/><br/>I think it would take another black vanilla across the road for them to rethink their business strategy.

The best Butterscotch Chocolate Pastry I have ever tasted in my whole life!!! It was my birthday when my husband n me planned to pick a pastry on our way to hotel and this cafe happened to be on our way coincidentally. Just went in and this was one we choose and by God it was the best..It was so chocolaty and creamy.. we both just loved it. Still miss it.. :( nothing close to this in my city...

This place very elegant and vintage looks give you feel of relaxation...basically for the ones who love upstairs with cozy chairs and books to read. Quite an ambiance. Food is good we tried Black Vanilla with blueberry and I should say it was must try one..besides the bbq burger and cheese garlic toast was not bad.

Whenever I’ve got a meeting in Panjim or visiting friends, this is one place I definitely stop by. It’s cozy and not too expensive. The coffee is amazing and the food is great. I love the Black Vanilla Milkshake. But one thing that I absolutely always leave space for is dessert. It’s just something else. These portions are large are delicious. A must visit!

It is located in the heart of the city, a very cute and small cafe with a very friendly staff. The food is excellent and so is the coffee. Always a good time to go there to grab a quick bite. Their non veg club sandwich is really nice and very filling.

Heard alot about this place ..The only reason I visited the place was cause of the impressive instagram page 🙄 and learnt that pictures can be deceiving 😂 ... Firstly the sugar on the table was expired ... Had the red velvet and choco gooey cake ... And it wasn't nice at all .. sorry to say dint live up to my expectations ..

Cozy cafe, with quite a spread. I used to visit this place for their Black Vanilla, but lately it wasn't that great. <br/><br/>The burger was the same. :) I enjoyed it. <br/><br/>Check out their book collection; addictively good. :P

Went on a quiet afternoon after spending hours on a scooter to relax and have a post lunch coffee and cake.<br/><br/>The Americano was decent, too weak for my taste. My partner had a cappuccino, and it wasn't the greatest either. I'm not saying they were bad, just that I've had better. The desserts however, were pretty darn good. We had a cheesecake and a slice of a chocolate cake, and they were delicious.<br/><br/>The place is quiet and calm. No loud music, and thankfully for us, no loud people. It's a good place to kick back for an hour or so to relax before heading out again.<br/><br/>Prices are the usual cafe prices, a little on the steep side.<br/><br/>The location is easy to get to, being located directly on the main road. Parking is right opposite the cafe as well.<br/><br/>All in all, a good place, well worth the 4/5 stars.

This is a quiet cute little place in Panjim.<br/>We had ordered Pulled Chicken Sandwich with Barbeque and Horseradish Sauce, Beef Mince Pizza with Jalapenos and Gruyère, Cafe Macchiato, Caramel Shake, Lemon Iced Tea.<br/>The food was amazing. Tried tomato basil and goat cheese sandwich , not happy with it at all.. the Walnut brownie was excellent.<br/>Ambiance is good. But overall it's not that great to draw me again to eat here.<br/>

We ordered the chicken salami and black olives pizza (Rs. 400/-), and for drinks we ordered the cafe mocha (Rs. 100/-). The pizza had a nice thin crust which was properly cooked and crispy, the sauce was full of flavours. The pizza could serve around 2-3 people perfectly. The cafe mocha was made to perfection, not too light nor too strong. The place is nice and cosy, it's a good place to chill with friends. The price is affordable too.

realy liked the place.. we orderd for sweet soya glazed pork burger, pulled chicken sandwich, brownie shake and black vanilla shake. the brownie was awesome thick nd with chunks of brownie in it. black vanilla somthing new but its too sweet to mee.as it has blueberry and grape juice. good taste. good place to be

Had a Near to death experience, while having this gorgeous death by chocolate cake!! It's Everything you want in a chocolate cake,the sweetness is so well balanced . Good service and very relaxing ambience !

The ambience is amazing, feels very welcoming. We tried the chicken BBQ burger and it was okayish, they don't serve fries with it, just the burger and that's a letdown. The shakes are nice, we tried the chocolate brownie and it was yummy. Overall, a decent visit.

This cozy café is on the main Panjim road, right next to Crossword. Absolutely loved the décor and the food was delicious as well! Their menu is limited but whatever they serve is yum.<br/><br/>I had ordered the Double Cheddar Beef Burger and though it was less cheesy for me, it was amazing nonetheless with a thick a** beef patty.<br/><br/>The book shelf with the fairy lights really had me sold though xD

It's take time to find cafe because on cafe logo so much plants grown. it's road side cafe and plus those plant you can't even see cafe logo properly. It's beautiful and silent cafe. It has beautiful evening view with sunrays falling on your coffee. I order coffee cappuccino and Americano. Coffee was good. Service is prompt. Overall good cafe to some relaxation.

We ordered a chocolate pastry. A big fat piece of super yummy chocolate pastry was given to us. Loved it. Rates are higher. But it's worth it to go visit once in a while because if nothing else, you get some nice Look-I'm-at-a-cool-place photos.

One of the best cafe's in Goa. They've got the finest salads and expressions. Loved Thier classic mocha with banana and nutella crepes. It was out of the world.

A tiny cafe with a lovely cost ambience right on the main road .<br/>Ordered a tomato and feta open sandwich to start with along with a cream.of mushroom soup! Special mention to the service staff as it was placed and played very professionally.<br/>A watermelon soda and a feta and watermelon salad followed by a veg burger! Every dish was well plated and loved the taste of every single item..it was fresh and yumm..<br/>To end with we had New York cheesecake and a red velvet chocolate dessert.<br/>New York cheesecake was a bit dense and dry but the components were intact wit the taste, the red velvet was a bit too sweet for my palate but it's a personal choice!<br/>Will make sure to visit this place again next time I go! ;)<br/><br/>Service - 5/5<br/>Food - 4/5<br/>Ambience - 4/5<br/>Value for money - 4/5

In our hunt for a good burger we found our way to Black Vanilla, a really good looking cafe located in Panjim. The ambience was very chic and urban.
