Review Vinanti Restaurant And Bar - Panjim

Kirti Govind Panvelcar (KIYA)
One of the good old restaurant of panaji .. We tried the thali .. they served chonak or the snapper . Good enough taste, if I may say - could have been better . But ok ..! It’s a good choice for a decent enough thali .! But I think one plus point of the thali , there’s no too many dishes on the plate and you can comfortably finish it . We also ordered kingfish rawa fry , however considering the current fishing ban , it wasnot fresh

Good place for a tasty goan fish thali.. They had only chonak thali which was very tasty.. The fresh lime was okay.. The cost of fish thali is 250 rupees plus gst.. They serve prawns curry, rice, papad, pickle, salad, kokum water, and a veg bhaji.. It's very filling!!

Good location, decent price and tasty food. • The food is very good in terms of its taste and presentation and also the prices are decent. • The staff is very polite and professional. • There is no reserved parking for the restaurant, but parking lot is available just besides the restaurant. • The washrooms here are not clean. • Overall a very good experience.

Yummiest fish thali at very affordable price!! Their fish thali never disappoints. Wonderful flavours, the king fish rava fry that comes with the thali is sooooo good👌 This has been our go to restaurant everytime we are in Panjim😊😀

Nine place to eat and The restaurant serves a wide range of cuisines and has a little for everyone, the dining area is spread out on different levels and is very spacious, the tables are also big in size so it's very comfortable while dining. The staff are very efficient and helpful. The food is fresh and very flavourful, and prices are not very high. It's an ideal place to come with a large group.

Great Goan food. Always consistent in quality and good quantity too. The ambience however doesn't seem to have been changed in the past 20 years.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vinanti Restaurant & Bar and it was an incredible experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was welcoming and cozy. The decor was tasteful and created the perfect atmosphere for an enjoyable evening. But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish we tried was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was also excellent. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations for both food and wine pairings. We never felt rushed or neglected, but also didn't have to wait long for anything. Overall, I would highly recommend Vinanti to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience. The combination of fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, and top-notch service make it a truly special place.

I recently visited a new restaurant and bar in town, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was trendy and modern, with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. The appetizers were particularly noteworthy, with a standout dish being the crispy calamari with a spicy aioli dipping sauce. For the main course, I ordered the ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The sides were also great, with a standout being the truffle fries. But what really made the experience stand out was the bar. The drink menu was extensive, with a great selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. I ordered the signature cocktail of the house, which was a delicious concoction of tequila, lime, and ginger beer. It was perfectly balanced and refreshing, and the presentation was impressive as well. The service was also excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our meal. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant and bar to anyone looking for a great meal and a fun night out. The combination of excellent food and drink, along with a trendy and comfortable atmosphere and top-notch service, makes for a truly memorable experience.

This place is a great option if you're looking for a delicious fish thali. The food is very tasty, and the ambience is decent - with clam environment to keep you comfortable. I particularly recommend trying the seer fry and prawn fry - they're absolutely awesome.

Probably the best fish thali i have had in my life so far. The taste was lovely. The portion size was good. And it is inexpensive as well. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The place is clean and hygienic. A must visit place if you are in Panjim.

Good location with decent food although I tried only fish thali here. It fully air conditioned and fish thali will cost u around 180/- . Staff is very friendly, overall the food was good.

It's hotel restaurant, OK atmosphere, friendly servers, didn't feel comfortable with the cleanliness. Food was good, chicken spring rolls was good, chicken kheema biryani was good. Quantity was good for two persons

This restaurant is a great choice for a quick and satisfying meal. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone. The prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and efficient, with the staff always ready to answer questions and make recommendations. Once upon a time I use to be in love with the taste of this thali, but now there is so much competition and everyone is upto whooing its customer this thali can be rated average.Sticking to its old school thali It serves fresh fish with other goan delicacies.

Goa is famous for it's seafood and fish thalis. But with many people opting for the most well known and prominent restaurants, ample of other restaurants serving authentic Goan cuisine remain unnoticed. This was one such place recommend by a colleague. It's a pretty small restuarants but well maintained with modern ambiance and warm service. .

We ordered the Fish Thali consisting a wide range of dishes including the fish curry, rice, bhaji (vegtable), kismoor, prawns chilli, sol kadi and kingfish rava fry. .

Even though the number of dishes served in the thali were comparatively less but we can't argue on the authentic flavours and taste of all the dishes served. The kingfish rava fry was one of my favourites and the Kismoor served was the highlight of this thali. The sol kadi is a perfect way to end a great hearty Goan mean. .

This is a good place for authentic Goan food. Be it the prawns ghassi or starters and the crab masala or the pomphret rava fry , this place has good food at nominal rates

I have always loved the food of Vinanti. Authentic Goan cuisine at a great price. The food never disappoints.

The fish is so fresh and rightly spiced. The chicken xacuti is of the perfect consistency and spiciness.

If you're in Panjim and looking for authentic local cuisine, you have to go to Vinanti. Also, do not go here for anything except the local Goan cuisine.

However, please note that they run out of their fish quite early (by 1.45/2 pm). So i would highly recommend going there early.

Ambience: 2.5/5
Food: 4.5/5

Overall: 4/5 (the food alone makes up for such a high rating)

My rating:- (4.5/5)

I had been here yesterday with my family for our last lunch in Goa before we packed our bags for returning back to Mumbai. The restaurant was already packed with people, mostly families, but luckily we got a table for the six of us. It's located in the market area of Panaji and gives you plenty of bang for your buck. We were immediately asked for water and the staff was courteous enough in helping us out in selecting the dishes from their menu. After some discussion, we decided to have their Chonak (White Snapper) thali for mains and prawns rava fry for starters. It took them quite a while to get the food and some of my family members were already done with their meal by the time our order came on the table. It's a simple family-style restaurant with a no-frills ambiance and decorated with murals. The speed of the service is impressively prompt. The thali was a huge one, more than sufficient for two people. It comprised of a huge mound of boiled rice, crisp Chonak Fry, kismoor (a dish made of dried tiny shrimps), tisrya sukke (clams cooked in green gravy), fish curry (prawns), futi kadhi (Goan sol kadhi without coconut milk), and French beans sabji. The thali was loaded with a variety of flavors and the chonak was fresh and perfectly marinated. The prawns' curry was a correct balance of sweet and spicy. The prawns were decent and juicy. The futi kadhi was absolutely refreshing and helped us to wash it all down! Even the French beans sabji was quite edible. Do not miss out on their Tisrya Sukka (clams cooked in green gravy). These were themselves, a powerhouse of flavor. I even liked their kismoor which was crunchy, tangy, and spicy. Mix the kismoor with some rice and fish curry to get the best out of your meal, and then have a sip of Futi Kadhi to call it a wrap. The thali was priced reasonably and did full justice to the rate. About our starter, the prawns were succulent and to die for. They were coated in semolina and then fried. They tasted just delicious. The place has got quite a comfortable seating arrangement and space has been utilized nicely. Some of their crew members seemed to be a bit rude, and this needs to be looked into. That's the only reason why I've rated them a 4.5. The restaurant was in very good shape when we visited, with no filth seen anywhere. Even the staff was well-dressed and soft-spoken.

Overall Verdict:- Had an amazing time feasting on some authentic and awesome Goan cuisine at pocket-friendly prices, in the heart of Panaji. Surely coming back again to try their other Goan delicacies. Our last lunch in Goa was truly a memorable one.

Vinanti ❤️

After wandering in the Panaji market and searching for a good restaurant we came across Hotel Vinanti.

It's Goa and how could we not have Fish. We tried the special Goan Fish Chonak and the Fish rice plate of Vinanti.

The Fish was simply yummy and delicious. We were mind blown by the Fish fry as well as Fish rice plate. The Chonak Fry was perfectly fried and had a lot of flavours. Also the Fish rice plate had some lovely options.

An overall great experience and a nice place to visit in the Panaji Market.

Food: 5/5
Staff: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Value for Money: 5/5

Went to this place for fish thali. The thali was very average. Prawns rawa fry which we has ordered separately were good. Soul curry was watery. Staf is courteous. But food needs improvement. Butter chicken has too much food colour in it.

Home away from home is what i would say... if u are lookin for tasty home cooked food then u shud head straight away to vinanti.
Their goan fish thali is just awesome with generous amount of rice, prawn curry, tisrya sukke( to die for), kismoor, rawa fried king fish, one veggie nd kokum kadi.
Staff are courteous and swift. All fish preparations are good. A must visit place.

I loved the fish thali here! Total value for money and every item on the plate was delicious. The service was very attentive and the restaurant was decorated with beautiful murals.

Unlike other restaurants, vinanti gives you the taste of Goan non veg food as expected and worth my pocket. I tried fish thali and it reminded me of my home food. Thank you vinanti 😊

Polite staff. But it took 25 minutes for them to serve the food. I ordered the fish tikka and nan. Horrible taste only the dressing was good.

If you want a simple non-touristy local joint with lot of authentic fish options plus good service, then this is the place for you. A must visit for me and my family on every Goa trip.

As much polite as I would like to be, this was one of my worst experience for a dish even as simple as a prawn fired rice. The prawns we're dried and not edible at all. They were to stale to eat. The fried rice had no taste. Dont ever go here. It's a waste of money!!!!!

Best option for Lunch & Dine

We ordered Fish Thali (Surmai), Prawn Curry Rice, Chonak Fish and Veg Fried Rice 😅

Really happy with the quantity they are providing for fish thali.. It includes,
1. Kolambi Curry (Prawn Curry) 💕
2. Steamed Rice
3. Shimplya Chutney (Clams Green Masala)
4. Sukhat Chutney (Dried Shrimp)
5. Kokam Ras
6. Bottle gourd (Bhopla)

Thali is really sufficient for one time meal.

Prawn Curry Rice is the same which you can even get in Fish thali (Quantity - 2 people)

Chonak Fish is something which I tried for the fish time and it's really good in taste and its size almost covered the plate 🤣

Veg Fried Rice seemed good in quantity for 2 people.

Overall Good place. Recommended only for Non Veg Food.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Have been here several times. The place is easy to locate. Good ambience. Friendly staff. Service is very good. I am a hard core non vegetarian but I have had veg dishes here and u don't feel like ur eating ghaas phus(grass) which is really good for me. Had tried stuffed papad which was horrible choice. Rest all good.
Thank you.
Definately try the Curry rice thali, simply delicious !
Omg the curry, flavours that fill ur mouth and take u on an all together different journey.

And for Prawn lovers .. Here's one for u !

A Coastal Treat✨

While you might already have your favourites of fish thali joints in Goa, I urge you to try the Goan Fish Thali at Hotel Vinanti-Panjim.

This is the local authentic fish thali where you can get your fill of spicy Goan fish curry, a small mound of boiled Goan rice, a slice of crisp fried Surmai on the side, a small portion of Tisreo Sukkem, some Kismur – a local delicacy made of sun-dried salted shrimp and a glass of Solkadhi to wash it all down. Plan your visit time well, because it gets really really crowded during peak hours!

"Goan Fish, pocket friendly"

The place has a good location right at the centre of the market. The best restaurant to go with family and friends. Good food at a reasonable and affordable rate. Had ordered my favorite shellfish as I am big a sea food lover and I must say that preparation was good, and absolutely yumm! Also, had a surmai fish and was quite good.

But not happy with service. Waiters don't serve you well.. you will tell them to get something and wait there forever.

If this restaurant can improve its services a bit and focus on the small but important parts of a meal, it could be a real gem.

Finally this place is ticked off my list. I was always curious to visit it since my friend advised this once to me.. (He also mentioned ex defence minister Manohar Parrikar visits this too)

If I have to to sum it up, I'd say their thali is most authentic Goan food served in simplest manner. Nothing fancy here.. but the flavors were absolutely delightful.. I finished Red Snapper within seconds and the clams were simply superb. I only ordered the thali but it was a simple, humble and a very cost-effective experience (check price for two in enclosed bill) .

PS- The lowest i paid for two seafood thalis 😜😊

Don't know why I hadn't been here before, it's great.
The ambiance is pretty ok, if yu sit near the long window, you can see the busy streets of the city. Don't expect any quite time here as there are always 2 or more loud tables. The staff is a lil slow to serve and attend but it isn't a buzz kill.
Do try out the mocktails, good stuff.
The food is good too, we tried the chicken stuffed papad : yummy, soup (chicken & manchow) : both delicious, American choupsey : good, their Chinese rice preparations taste v good, also the cheese naan is good, which goes well with any tawa bhaji or butter chicken(yum)/chicken hydrabadi (yumm) they serve.
To sum it up, worth a visit when in panjim, it's also easy on the pocket. I have revisited this place because of its delectable food. Its sea food is supposed to be good, will try it next visit.

The taste of the food here is just amazing and exquisite😍
They seem to specialise in Goan seafood but the other items in the menu are also worthy of attention👌
The aura is very amicable and the servicing is quite swift. The fish thali reminds you of the authentic goan savour! The crispy chicken;bullet chicken and banjara kebabs are equally delectable!
You can just not afford to miss this place😄

We visited this place coz again someone recommended this place. We ordered for Fish thali some fries for the kid and masala papad as we were not very hungry. We can't comment of the veg food as didn't really call for it. The thali was average but the highlight was the kokam curry we ended us have 3 extra glasses of kokam curry itself. The fries and papad was alright.
Veloshka
Suggestion: Goan food tastes best here out of all their options/dishes of other cuisines in the menu. Chinese is good too but with that Indian twist to it like the schezwan rice
Stylishbite (stylishbite@gmail.com)
Worst food experience you can have in Panaji. I ordered Prawn Masala and Prawn Hyderabadi Biryani. The Biryani was too spicy and full of green chilli paste which was simply intolerable. The staff is highly discourteous. The staff warned us that "place all your orders in one go; we dont entertain repeat orders". This was the most weird experience a foodie can ever have anywhere. The service was slow. The food tasted below average. Will never visit this place again. Most discourteous staff and worst taste in Panjim.

Good traditional FISH and Crabs...good location in heart of PANAJI
must try when in GOA....
also value for money compared to other GOA restaurants

Heard a lot about this simple down to earth place in Panjim & landed upon a Saturday afternoon with 7 others. Simple no frills place, Air Conditioned. Looks a little worn out and in need of some renovation but u dont go to a Vinanti for the ambience.
Food was nice as long as you stick to the basics which means Fish and related stuff. The fish Thali was awesome. Somebody ordered a Chicken Vindaloo which was sad and tasted like tomato sauce. Mutton Biryani was okay but then serves the guy right for ordering a Mutton Biryani in Goa.
Service was nothing to write home about. Value for money pricing.
Worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.

Service is Breathtakingly Fast...Food is Fabulous... especially if you're here to try out the Goan Dishes. The Atmosphere and Ambience are pretty Good.A Musy Try!

Fabulous food. We were recommended to go here by a local and found the food amazing. Best meal that we had on our entire trip. The fish pulav was the best. Must visit on every troop to Goa.

Another gem from the house of Narvekars.. After Alegro (Bambolim), Mayur (Merce), Anand (Panjim), Ashok (Panjim), this one has its own charm. Air conditioned family place with an array of Goan, Chinese and indian food the place is popular with the locals as much as with the tourists.
I'm a sucker for Goan food so had my usual Fish thali which had an amazing surmai fry, beans, kishmoor (fabulous) and Shell fish.. The kishmoor was wonderful and so was the shell fish. The fish curry was sweetish but spicy at the end. Not bad I would say. Lepo fry ordered seperately was amazing. Desh and crispy fried to perfection. Reasonably priced place and worth a visit for local food. Wish I could try more stuff
Radhika Unnikrishnan
Went to vinanti as friend believes its got one of the best fish curry in town...as sceptical as i was as i entered the restaurant, i was presently surprised when i dug into my " fish thali". The curry and all the other dishes were just amazing.. The flavours took my mouth by storm, the beans preparation, the perfectly fried fillet of king fish, "kismur" ( a preparation made with dired baby prawns) and not to forget the amazingly mouth watering prawn curry!!
Even though the food was amazing, the place put me off..this place needs some overdue renovation. New table clothes and definate investigation of the smell as u enter the restaurant.

Food :4/5 ; service :3/5 ; ambience 2/5

Great Thali, sumptuous food, simple ambience. Goan Food done simply to perfection. Fast food & fast service . Centrally located for food after shopping in the city centre.

Great place to have some goan food. Had been here last weekend. Very clean and hygienic. They had a very good variety of coastal seafood. Ordered starters right from prawns to mussels. Each dish had a unique flavour. Only problem they close by 11!!! Will definitely visit every time I go to Goa for sure.
Sai Naik
Been here regularly. Always got variety of seafood, great taste, good service and most of all cost effective. This is not a fancy type of place and neither hyped one... Thatching on brand name. Never the less local people rich and middle class prefer vinanti over other options.

Vinanti....
I just love the fish thali here.
I came here 8 years ago for the first time and this place has maintained its food taste since then, but the quantity and service have gone down very low.
They do an amazing job with the Prawns Biryani .
And they have this really amazing chicken patiyala.
Come for the Seafood and you'd be delighted.
The ambiance here is bright and colourful which certainly helps in adding ti your experience.

I had been in this restaurant for the first time in 2012 and I found everything to be perfect; cool ambience, cost effective, great taste, best quality, wide variety and customer friendly table service (sweet Goan language). Actually I started liking fish after having delicious fish dishes in this restaurant.

After a hiatus of 3 years, I got a chance to revisit the restaurant and revitalize myself with variety of fish and other dishes. I travelled long from south Goa to Panjim just to visit this restaurant, but all efforts in vain. I found the drastic change in the restaurant. Apart from the good taste and cool ambience everything else is deteriorated.

Almost 40% of the dishes on the menu were not available, waiters/captains were not at all friendly, no cocktails available, only beer.

We had couple of dish dishes, two veg Punjabi dishes and rice, which cost us 1400/-, which in my opinion is not at all cost effective.

Though the chefs are doing their job well, the management needs to improve upon the frontline service so as not to disappoint the customers.
Adityas3694
Fortunately got chance to be there and had delicious non veg food and veg food on 18th Jan 2015. Specially liked Sea Food with all variety. I would give suggestion regarding service on Table. Unfortunately found Captain/ waiter to be rude regarding suggestions and offerings during Lunch Time. Need to be improved to attract more foody folks. Thanks to Chefs for good food.
