Review Zaki's Biryani - Panjim

I found this very tasty Biryani. Feels they’re Biryani specialist. Good tastes and good quantity. Also good combos. Enjoyed both having it. It is small restaurant but tastes amazing. Do visit Zakis Biryani if you are panjim goa. Also has parcel from zomato. Enjoyed it. Lovely Biryani.

I had a delightful experience at Zakis Biryani! The aromatic flavors of their biryani were absolutely mouthwatering, and the tender, perfectly cooked meat added an extra layer of deliciousness. Small restaurant located in St inez panjim. Tried chicken biryani half plate 170 . Good taste. Also tried gulab jamun 20 per pc. Average taste.

Who says you need to always find the best food in 5 star hotels, let me tell you that although this establishment gets mixed reviews I honestly thought the food was good, fresh and you really cant beat the price. Chicken was spicy but done just right and portions are great for lunch and to share. Biryani was also just easy to eat and I find the food to be light and just a delight to eat. For some reason some of the fast food and more established indian clubs in the UK are heavier and this maybe down to fresher ingredients in Goa or maybe just the sun shines and everything is better with good weather but whatever the secret its something I wish I could bottle up and sell. A very small place of the main street but it was clean and friendly and you will I hope enjoy the food as much as I did. Recommend a lunch visit

Lovely chicken dumm biryani. We ordered one chicken dumm biryani and chicken lollipop. It's a take away or a place for a quick meal. Good for office workers around this area.

I would recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic biryani. Their speciality is Dumm Pukht Biryani (Matka Biryani) which is cooked on charcoal in earthen pot. Rates are slightly on the higher side,but I guess one won't regret. Sitting area is a bit small, can accommodate 14 people at full capacity, additinal 4 can be accommodated outside i guess. No air-conditioning, wherever you may be sitting..

2 different rice mixed white on basmati and masala one some normal rice..one peice of chicken that to with a bigggg bone..no meat..i hive on discount but no point if i reduce the quality of food.

This place is small and crowded most of the times so it would be advisable to opt for a takeaway. According to me, this place is overrated for its biryani. I didn’t find anything special about the taste. It is just ordinary biryani which has gravy down and rice served on top of it. We just ate it because we didn’t want to waste the food. The only thing I liked was their chicken kebab or cutlet, whatever it is called. That was nice and tasted different. Definitely won’t recommend it to people, not visiting again as well.

i ordered chicken tandoori and chicken angara both i throw in my garbage box,quality of chicken is to bad today,it was smelling when i took a bite,and the gravy was also bad,totally waste my money and wasted my time.

Biryani is good in this restaurant but I like regular chicken dum Biryani. Restaurant place also very good. Veg Biryani also very good but paneer Biryani is very oily.

Their biryanis are pretty good, but here's the bummer:<br/>I ordered via Zomato and on more than one occasion, I found just a singular tiny piece of meat buried in a big heap of rice. When a restaurant tries to trick their customers like this, it just leaves a bad after taste. Hope they stop such deceptive tactics and run an honest business.

A decent place for a decent priced biryani. The quantity is quite less compared to other branded ones. Taste was Good and there were more chicken pieces. Their kebabs are just wow 😍 The seating area is very small.. It will be better if they could provide better dining ambience. Otherwise 3/5 I give.

This place is good for biryani. It is one of the best places in Panjim for biryani. Only lately the biryani has lost the favours it had before. The Chicken Tandoori & Lollipops here are also great!

They serve yummy biryanis and kebabs in Panjim! You could take a parcel if you wish. However, they have a little sitting area as well. Quick service also.

This small restaurant is similar to biryani palace .. i found nothing new about their dishes, taste is ok not too good and not too bad....the thing i liked the most if their presentation.

A very humble small outlet serving biryani, kebabs and the mainstream mughlai dishes. The seating space is very modest. Rates are very affordable and the service is decent as well.<br/>Mutton boti kebab was real good, being just right crisp and puffy, only if they could have avoided making it greasy. Chicken cutlets were also delicious and served as a good appetiser. The pudina chutney served with both was extremely good.<br/>Ordered the matka biryani which is charcoal steamed and cooked slowly over furnace which apparently they're known for. The quantity was very generous and was filling. The taste was nothing great, it just tasted like a decent biryani, the smoky flavour was lacking and more than that it also lacked any particular aroma. Was a deal killer for me. The flavours weren't ingrained into the rice and it lacked the biryani feeling and I felt disappointed on having to pay twice the biryani price just for the matka.<br/>Overall, a decent experience but could improve with the biryani and serving etiquettes.

Good place if you are craving biryani for lunch/dinner. The service is quite prompt and the owner is friendly. We get parcel from here a number of times at our office during lunch time. The only disappointment is the chicken pieces are very few for 180 bucks. You hardly get any

I was bit hesitant when I arrived here since no one was at the restuarant. We ordered a matka mutton Biryani and tandoori chicken has takeway. Then we stumbled open Kathi roll on the menu and wanted to try it out. So ordered one mutton Boti Kathi roll and chicken Kathi roll. It's was delicious finger licking good specially the mutton Boti roll, mild flavour not much spicy one could even smell the ghee the roll was roasted in it. Well moving to the Biryani and the tandoori. Nothing commendable. Tandoori was okay.but the mutton in the Biryani smelt and tasted weird. The 3/5 Is solely for the mutton Kathi roll. So try the chicken cutlet. Though they serve it cold it's a must try.<br/>

Had their egg biryani.A different taste from the usual dum biryani.It had a nice flavour, however it was very mild.If the flavour was stronger,would definitely give it a 4 stars.But good prices and would recommend it to biryani lovers.

I am not a big fan of biryani but my husband brought to try chicken biryani and I must say it's different than all the biryanis i have tasted. Even better than hyderabad. Portion is good enough for two people. Rice is of very good quality and chicken is very juicy and well marinated, not too dry and not too wet. Spice is mild. Kids can eat too. I definitely recommend this place for all biryani lovers.

Started off with the family name of ZAKI, the speciality of Zaki's Biryani is biryani, tandoori and rolls.<br/><br/>In the tandoori the masala is quite good, piece size of tandoori is big and the meat is extremely succulent. <br/><br/>On the biryani, the taste is quite right. Especially with mutton. The portion size too is more than enough. The rice quality is great too. <br/><br/>The rolls are pure Mumbai style. The only difference being these are called BAIDA ROLLS over there. BAIDA ROLLS are a great and famous snack available in south Mumbai. These rolls bring back this same taste to Goa. <br/><br/>All in all, all the above varieties are true value for money, fantastic in taste and filling too. <br/><br/>Give it a try and enjoy. <br/><br/>

Me and my friend bumped up to this place when we were trying to find the old Portuguese buildings in Panaji.They offer limited yet very rich dishes.<br/><br/>We ordered 3 dishes: Chicken Cutlet, Chicken Dum Biriyani and Chicken Dum Puhkt Biryani<br/><br/>First things first,don't get disappointed by the quantity in the Puhkt Biryani because it was so tasty and quantity that 2 people couldn't finish up quickly even in intense hunger! The Phukt Biriyani was the best biriyani I've ever tasted. I'm saying this because the Dum and gravy cooked in complete basmati rice was so exquisite! I would rate better than Hyderabadi Biriyani<br/><br/>Chicken Cutlet is a superb snack with minched chicken that actually dissolves in your mouth with the perfect mint chutney.

I dunno why this place has such low ratings. Ive had biryani here plenty of times and he has one of the best if not the best biryani in goa. Id probably only rate aflatoon and paradise biryani more than this. Much better than the crap u get at delhi darbar and niyaaz. The rice is rich basmati, the mutton is soft and the masala is enough that you do not need gravy with it. Perfect!

On the very first day of my visit to goa, went to this place and had their biryani. Initially this place is only take away, now they have dine in. <br/><br/>Tried the following :<br/>Chicken Dum biryani (Full)<br/>Chicken Parantha<br/>Paneer parantha <br/>Veg Green Peas rice <br/><br/>Only green peas rice is good, chicken biryani is not good and the quantity too....the FULL they gave was so less in quantity and i wonder how they can call it a full. <br/><br/>Very disappointing food. Disappointing service too, we were made to serve ourselves. They just put the food on the table and went.

One of the best places for Biryani in Panjim. The Biryani served here is great. Unlike some other take-away places in the area the chicken isn't dry. I have tried their Kathi Rolls too. A bit oily but tastes good. The Chicken Tandoori is also good. As for the ambience, the place is nice but small, not suitable for large groups. Been to this place many times, the staff and service here is very good. All in all a must try if your craving for some Biryani.
