Had a wonderful experience staying at the New Years! Was one of the places with great ambience and not to noisy quite for my taste. The breakfast compote was amazing and also their vegetarian Indian meal menu is worth trying.
Their hospitality is too good. Slightly expensive than other similarly placed properties. Room space and cleanliness was worth the price paid.
The location is an absolute delight. People who are in love with White Town, stay here.
The room tariff is pretty steep for a place which does not have a pool, and isn't technically beachfront. They don't have parking either, so that's a major disappointment.

Food was really very good. Great for date night. Not VERY expensive either. It’s doable on a good vacation evening with your family. There is no AC in the dining area, but ambience is good. You’ll appreciate the heritage feel. Over all RECOMMENDED 👍👍

Their restaurant is worth visiting than their rooms (considering the tariff). Hotel service is average, though restaurant staffs are very welcoming and friendly. Accommodation is good but not value for money, though they are mostly sold out due to location and good food. Very good for photography.
I recently had the pleasure of having a superb lunch at Villa Shanti in Pondicherry, and it exceeded all my expectations. The highlight of my dining experience was the Raw Mango & Papaya Fish pickle, an absolute must-try for seafood enthusiasts. The flavors were exquisite, making the lunch truly worth every penny. The hotel's ambiance and attentive service further added to the overall exceptional dining. Highly recommended!
The place has good options of European Cuisines. We loved almost everything. Price is a bit on the higher end. North Indian preparations were okayish. Ice peach tea was very sugary. Rest other things were good. Ambience was good.
The server was great. He paid minute attention to our needs and made sure we were enjoying the meal.

Visited this hotel last month. Had an amazing experience. The staff was really helpful and understanding and their service was top class. Loved the whole experience. Would suggest this one to all.
Absolutely loved this place! Visited for dinner yesterday.. Malini, the hostess was so lovely! I was travelling alone and had reached before they were open, but she let me inside, made me feel at home, I ordered a drink and waited comfortably till the food was ready for order.

Villa shanti we visited for our dinner. The place is very near to the promenade beach in white town area.
Very nice ambience. Felt at peace. Though the place was full, there wasn't much sound.
