Review Dilliwaala 6 - Pondicherry

Spandana Sanjay
Authentic North Indian Dishes available. Taste was really good. Was not satisfied with the lassi and mocktail. But other items were very tasty. Price was ok.
Dipanshu Baranwal
Good place to enjoy North Indian food. It's good for someone who is looking for authentic North Indian taste in pondicherry. The price is on the higher side but worth the quantity and quantity.

I had an amazing vegetarian repast. The flavors were rich and aromatic. We ordered two appetizers and two mains course. Which was Haryali paneer kebab, Honey chilli potato, Butter Paneer, Dal makhani and Jeera rice. The service was quick and efficient. I loved every single dish I ordered. However, it was packed. It offered cozy and comfortable seating for family and friends. It’s 10/10 in my rating.

Place is okay. If u r lucky u ll get a seat soon. Crowded in weekends. I just tried veg biryani to avoid waiting time and it was good in taste. Over all its flavoured restaurant
Nimesh Dedhia
Food is excellent but service is very slow. It was very crowded. One of the very few good pure veg restaurants in Pondicherry.

One of the best vegetarian places in Puducherry. The overall vibe is great. They have an air conditioned hall and an open court as well. It's crowded so reach early or be ready to wait for at least 30 minutes if not more. The food is delicious. Quantity is slightly smaller for some dishes so be mindful. The quality and prompt service is commendable. Very polite staff. Definitely visiting every time I'm in Puducherry.

Atmosphere is good pleasant . Food is also good but Delhi style

Food was above average. Mocktails were really good. I will NOT recommend the veg pulao (it's very bland, all it has is rice and beans - not good) better go with veg nawabi biriyani. Ambience was okay. Price is on the higher side and I felt it did not match their food or ambience.
Hitankshi Trivedi
This place is just amazing! The chef makes these dishes with the best ingredients, and their combination is so flavourful! Even though it's crowded on weekends, the food quality is never compromised. The ambience and the service make this place a further steal deal. We visited this place for 3 continuous days, and still didn't tire out from the food. Really recommend this place for a memorable and hearty meal in Pondicherry!

Cauliflower Manchurian is one of the best things I have had in Pondy Delicious! Also try garlic CHEESE naan it is yummy
Nidhi Anthea
Superb service experienced 👍😊 We had our first anniversary dinner there and the staff was very kind to arrange for a cake even if it was during the closing time. Sincerely appreciate your kindness and great service ❤️💯

Congratulations because I will be back very soon,This may be the best Indian restaurant I have ever tried in my entire life, the food is an inexplicable delight in the mouth and the whole team is so sweet and caring. Finally, the restaurant is located in a beautiful two-story colonial house, the second floor seems to be a rooftop with a very nice concept of French bakeries and hot chocolate.

Dilliwaala6 is located in Heritage Town. Great for Indian dishes, one of those rare eateries in South which caters for the North Indian palate. Value for money.
Aparna Dk
Excellent food, had an amazing pasta after a real long time. Kid friendly

One of the best North Indian food I had in Pondicherry. We had to wait for 10-15 mins as the place was packed at 3 pm. The food arrived within 5 mins and the service was excellent. We ordered methi roti, lachha paratha, dum aloo punjabi, masala chaas and gulab jamun. I wasn't expecting the food to be so good. Made my day.

Good for vegetarians. Ambiance- Excellent. It’s Old French Bungalow converted to a restaurant. Quality- Very good Quantity - Too small portions, for the cost they charge. But justify with excellent taste. Value for money - Absolutely yes.
Nabajyoti Saikia
One of best place for lunch and dinner at Pondicherry for north Indians. Quality of food is good but flavour are like south Indians. Good location and good food.

I came with my family with lots of expectations abt tasty and delicious foods, but once I order and got the dish on my table it's was opposite of wht I was dreaming of. Really didn't like any of dish like panner makhani thn dhall tadka then we opt to order gobi machiriyan but it was more horrible that I was unable to eat at least one spoon of it, I immediately called the waiter who was serving us he took nd came back wth reply that gobi is uncooked. I said him to cancel as what ever I order they whr saying kitchen is closed. As it was 10:30 but the person who is inside for dinning should be served till 11. Atlast we ordered roti a lot and plain rice bt we whr not having side dish to eat them so we asked him for gravy for eating these stuffs . Bt our bad luck nothing was available in kitchen. Finally we parcelled the roti nd left the rice. Really I was been walking out with half empty stomach. I thought u guys will serve the best North Indian food and even i saw menu card rates whr high. I thought ur quality will also be same as higher as ur price but unfortunately it was not as we expected!!

I have been to this place twice. The food was great !! Absolutely Dilli I would say. Strictly vegetarian ! That's the sad part... but veg food is upto mark. . Firstly the ambience of the place with beautifully lit ceilings and the preserved architecture of old French house is loveable.... The walls appeared old and unfinished but that's the best part of it ! The order is served on the table in just 10 mins! Such fast service ! I happened to find this place when I just googled North Indian food in Pondicherry, and I wondered, being such a foodie I never came across this place ... Right from tomato shorba, the entire meal was a treat to taste buds. Paneer tikka was just, just perfect ! Lahori kebab, masala papad were good too ! Paneer Kheema mutter was my favourite... the grated cheese and the flavour of the mutter just blends soooo well They serve a variety of veg and non-veg North Indian dishes, some fusion recipe- Mexican fried rice on the menu is tempting ! Desserts were disappointing.... Overall Food, service and ambience-4.5/5 Tariff - 400 per person from soup to dessert (worth the money)

The place won me over as soon as I entered it with beautiful Rangoli outside and amazing decor & interiors inside. On hearing that they had Chole Bhature and Pav Bhaji along with dishes like Parathe in Breakfast, my rumbling Punjabi stomach couldn’t be happier. Our ordered was served in almost ten minutes. The Pav Bhaji was just the right amount of spice with onions and lemon on the side and the Bhature weren’t too oily. We had Cold coffees to end it, and we definitely weren’t disappointed. It was pure awesomeness in those mason jars. We clicked some pretty pictures and thought we were done. But after walking around the white town all day, visiting different Cafes and museums, I craved a cup of tea and my sister some Papdi chaat! And that led us back to #dilliwala6. We got exactly what we wanted and left for a walk on the Promenade, a satiated bunch. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Pondicherry!
Jagan Cenation
This is undoubtedly the best place to be in Pondy. The best part is that it is pure vegetarian and one of its kind in the town. You will have happy tummies and happier pockets after having a meal here. Its a picturesque place to be.

Amazing restaurant in pondicherry. It's a treat for vegetarians. Food is up to the mark. Lovely ambience, good staff, quick service & reasonable too. I would strongly recommend this place.

A very nice place for good, authentic north Indian cuisine. Loved the ambience!! Great staff also. Their "thanda" menu is a must try.
Mahaveer U Ashra
Very good ambience and very good service, best place to go with family and best food. I loved it ️
Vikrant Agarwal
We tried Chholey Bhature, sandwich, coffee and a standard bottle of water. Taste was good. Service was very poor. Took 1:15 hour just to finish service. Please do check bill as they were charging water bottle above MRP with extra VAT and service charge, which is against the law. I will rather eat at A2B
Archana Mishra Ojha
Lovely place!!!!!! Gr8 hospitality and ambience.loved the food and the variety..mexican food can be improved although ..but on the whole nyc place cheap and good foood!!!
Rahul S Porwal
Good Ambience. Very Slow Service. Veg Platter & other starters Quantity is very low. Pathetic Food. Rice was Not even boiled properly. Neither the papad was roasted properly. Ended up paying extra for the water bottle than the mentioned MRP. They say it is the restaurant price for Water Bottle. Now i am planning to say its people's choice to visit your restaurant.
Indrani Sharma
Flavor of North Indian fun, frolic and palate! Perfect set up in a French Colonial building with interiors of Dilli 6 where 4pm onwards you can enjoy Dilli Street Food. Unmatched in Pondy! Dinner with some mocktails and fusion north Indian cuisine like wraps and naanizas are sumptuous!
Ritisha Saikia
It was the best part of Pondicherry during my stay there. The decorations right from the entrance was mind-blowing. When it comes to cuisine,it was just "YUMMY",though a pure veg restaurant, yet i must say that I had a wonderful experience

Awesome paneer and great place.. Food was not too spicy also... I place to visit for sure

I have been this place in December 2019 with my family. Actually we were there to explore Pondicherry. As we are vegetarian and from North India so we were searching to find an excellent dining restaurant. Though, we found this place. I can say this restaurant is pretty much good for north indian vegetarians. We ordered Dal Makhani, Rajma, Mix Veg, Veg Biryani, Mix Veg Raita and tandoori rotis. We had a great experience with this restaurant. I highly recommend this place for vegetarians. Ambiance is also perfect. It's a family restaurant. So from my side 5/5 for this restaurant. Thanks.

Dilliwaala6 is THE iconic restaurant which you recognise from your friends pondicherry photos. This place has one of the most instagramable courtyard right as you enter. I would recommend getting seated, placing your order and then exploring the restaurant with your camera. I ordered mexican parathe as a quick snack. The concept was something new and tasty very good. The staff was courteous and this restaurant is located very near to the beach so plus points for that. A must visit place if you find yourself in pondi

This cafe is located on the road of Aurobindo Ashram and French Consulate near Rock beach. The cafe has a open as well as closed section. The open area has climbers and small tables bringing a French cafe type feeling here. If you visit this place, don't forget to click a photo infront of the colorful scooter here. The entire cafe is pretty intagrammable.<br/>The continental food as well as Indian food is available here. We ordered a Bruschetta, a Quesadilla with a Ceaser salad. However, in main course we had naan and paneer butter masala. <br/>The food is pretty good but the ambience is simply too good. But there's no non veg food, which downs the choices here.

Went to this place twice during our stay.. first experience was flawless amazing.. but the second time it was overcrowded and so our order was messed up.. though the food served was tasting nice but it was not what we called for

Nice place to dine - really liked the retro theme. From outside it looks quite small. Wide range of menu. Pleace remains jam packed at evening, might have to wait if you are in large group.

We had a good time with dilliwaala6...food is good and is seriously north Indian type wala<br/><br/>Reshma has been a great staff in service.. courtesy and helpful which made our dinner an exciting one..<br/><br/>Thanks to all and specially to reshma..

The food was really good and filling. The masala pappad was a tad bit on the saltier side. Aloo shots were good with the sides but the star was the Veg Mughalai Biryani. It was absolutely delicious and filling. Had an early dinner on a Saturday so the crowd was less, and the ambience was pretty rustic. Would love to visit again and try other dishes.

Visited the pretty cafe while we were in Pondi. <br/>Is it just me or does the staff really I’ll treat Indians? <br/>As soon as we entered, they said no food available. Then they avoid giving us a seat. They don’t want us to sit in or out. When we place an order, they said ‘ we have other customers too.’ ‘it’ll take up a lot of time since we are busy’ . Which cafe opened to serve guests, speaks like that? Extremely disappointed and unwelcoming.
Sonika Jain
Hospitality is worst, they allocated us seat outside and We wanted to sit inside as the chairs were little spacious inside and I wanted to sit with folded legs as my legs were paining, I asked the staff me allocate us seat inside, she denied me saying its 4 seater and its busy while no one was sitting inside and there were around 10 tables.
Akruti Nagecha
The place location and food is good but it completely opens up for dinner only 7:30 pm onwards in the morning hrs they only serve milkshakes, coffee kind beverages and snaking food and it's a place for students more and was not to clean too . Seating is very basic and in very small area. It is a quick snaking place.the photos are old in the app .

This staff behaviour is pathetic.
Siddharth Saravanan
I ordered aloo paratha, I asked the waiter if little cheese could be added on a top, she replied in a rude way no and said it cant be done ..... worst service ever
Kavita Sardana
We had paratha combo there.<br/>We have tried Allo Paratha and gobhi paratha there.<br/>It was good and tasty.<br/>This place is near to rock beach.<br/>Visit this place if you want some North Indian taste..

Amazing food . We were reluctant to go after reading so many bad reviews and about the slow service but had ample amount of time , so gave it a try . The services are super fast and food is really good. Tried kadai paneer , mushroom masala , Butter naan and garlic naan . All the items were amazing. This place is a savior when you are tired of eating pizzas , pastas and rice and want to have north indian tadke wala khana. Must try place.
Rajarajan Chinna
Good food! Worst service ! Literally so hard get a staff to your table and make them take order.
Samit Mishra
The ambience of the place was very good. And it was green and lively. As it was quite late in the afternoon we went straight fort he main course. We had ordered a Jeera Rice, Mushroom Masala, Dal Tadka and Tandoori Roti. The portion of food in all the items were good enough and little bit more for 2 people. The taste of each and every it was delicious.<br/><br/>After main course we went ahead for few beverages. We had ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri and Starwberry Lemonade. They had squeezed too much lemon in both the beverages. It was like having more of lemon only and less of Strawberry.<br/><br/>Food : 3.5/5<br/>Hygiene : 3/5<br/>Location : 5/5

Good place for Indian food. Very close to the beach as well, but expect it to be crowded almost always. Food although is not exceptional, but is pretty good. Would go here again if I am in Pondicherry

We came at the place and waited for more than an hour and didn’t get the table. The people who came after us were sent however we kept on waiting with the fact that we had senior citizen parents who could barely walk. <br/>Poor management and customer service.
Ankit Bhageria
We went to Dilliwala6 for lunch at 2:30 PM. We had a really pathetic experience due to service and staff attitude. There is a old guy with moustache who seemed to be the manager and made us feel really rushed and bad, he should be kicked out. He first didn't let us go inside, we were getting up from table for washroom and he Unnecessary told us to sit and wait for food, and spoke really badly to us. We were made to sit on a table near dustbins and kitchens. Waitresses were hurrying us as if they did not want to serve us. Half the items were not available. After multiple requests, we were moved to a better table which was dirty. The cleaning lady was very lazy and did a really bad job of cleaning the table. While the food was tasty and good, the staff attitude especially of that old man will never make me visit this restaurant again.
Raja
Their food is not that great.it could be because of the onion price.
Pallav Borisagar
Very nice place close to the beach. Nice ambiance and service. Very good north Indian food. We ordered Paranthas, Naan, butter rotis. Paneer sabzi was good and pindi chhole were awesome.
Vishant Goel
Bad experience as the manager was very adamant on seating. He didnt allow two people to sit inside even though there was adequate space inside. <br/><br/>Very poor customer service.
Swetha S
Didn’t like this restaurant for food. Probably what we ordered wasn’t upto mark. But the ambience is nice as it’s a French colonial architecture building. <br/>Ordered a paneer starter, wasn’t good as the paneer wasn’t fresh. Had roti and veg Kadai. The kadai had only beans n carrot and didn’t taste good. <br/>They had list of desserts but only carrot halwa and gulab jamun was available. <br/>Price is pretty reasonable

Perfect place to have the perfect food...<br/>If you are in Pondicherry this is must visit place..<br/>Tried Hakka noodles which is having perfect Chinese taste..<br/>In main course tried panner lababdar, panner kadahi, karai vegatable, veg Jefrezi all is having amazing punjabi taste perfectly and freshly cooked served with butter roti..<br/>Tried Nawabi biriyani served along with curd which is also very tasty..<br/>Must visit place for good food and good ambience
Priyanka
Half burnt parathas were served after an hour of taking order
Meera Shah
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone . Very poor service. 4.2 stars are fake for the restaurant. We have travel world but never been through such a bad staff service .No coordination of staff , shifting customer from one place to another , half food from the list of menu unavailable. After 7pm Don’t serve chats In ac room ..that was so logic less. Nothing fresh is made everything is kept ready so any alterations they donot make as per customer... why would customer pay then... <br/>Trust me not a good place to visit.
Sahana Kashyap
Billing is manipulative. We recieved 2 bills seperately for chaat and coffee, with taxes added twice. When we checked, they told us that these 2 were different restaurants altogether. Both places areunder the same roof, both menus are uploaded under the name of Dilliwaala 6 even on Zomato. Another disappointment is that they stopped serving chaat before 7 pm. The menu and boards say that they serve chaats till 9.30 pm.

DilliWaala6 is a North Indian place located in WhiteTown of Puducherry. The place has multiple section and we sat in the a/c one. The ceiling has a variety of lights. We sat in one of the wooden tables on the side. <br/><br/>We ordered the Diwani Handi Sabzi, Dal Tadka and rotis. The Diwani Handi was made in spinach puree and had a lot of beans. The Dal Tadka was not upto the mark and could have been better. The Mixed Kulcha was good in taste and the roti was amazing. Overall the food coming out of the kitchen is pipping hot. But their service is a bit of a issue during peak hours. We waited for almost 25 to 30mins for our order. <br/><br/>The Verdict:<br/>Taste - 6/10<br/>Ambiance - 6/10<br/>Service - 3/10<br/>Value for Money - 5/10<br/><br/>Avoid the crowd to have a good time!
Neeraj
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend for veg. <br/>The only issue could be it does not cater to large crowds otherwise the a good treat to your tummy 😜
Abhishek Praveen
Ordered the Kadai veg, for which the vegetables were freshly handpicked, right after the order was placed. Only that could justify the time taken. Saying that the service is slow is a huge understatement.
Ammini Kkn
Service is bad and really slow
Baalaajee Natarajan
That's a good one.<br/>Went in after checking the reviews on zomato,I should say it has been given the rating it deserves. The food was really awesome and quantity offered was more.<br/>If you are not from around this area check with the staff on the quantity to avoid eating the food.<br/>

Pondicherry is dominated by French and Italian cafes and a few south Indian udipis but very rarely will you find a restaurant serving Punjabi/North Indian food. So naturally we visited the place after days of binging on other cuisines!<br/><br/>A friend had recommended Diliwaala6 to us so we were excited. The place was packed when we went. Loved the vibe and the ambience. They were short staffed as the service was too slow.<br/>We ordered for the following:-<br/>1) Tiranga paneer Tikka platter - Didn't like it at all..paneer was hard, dry and marination was not enough. The malai Tikka and palak Tikka were really below average. Avoid.<br/><br/>2) Paneer makhanwala, veg kadhai - The vegetables were good and portion size was also sufficient. Taste was proper so we were happy.<br/><br/>3) garlic roti, naan - The garlic roti was superb but the naan was chewy.<br/><br/>4) Mango milkshake - The milkshake was super filling. Taste was on point. Didn't miss out on eating mangoes at home😅<br/><br/>Overall few hits and few misses. But if you are craving for some North Indian then this will be your go-to place in Pondicherry!<br/><br/>
Shant Kumar Chathli
The rating of 4+stars is a fake one. This place has the slowest and the poorest service of all times. A plate of pao bhaji took more than 40 minutes after constant reminders. Please avoid this place if you are really hungry as they will make u wait for your food for very long... and as soon as you get your food, its tasteless.
Rashi Agarwal
We visited the place for dinner...the ambience and music both were good..<br/>We ordered panneer lababdar,<br/>kadhai paneer,<br/>dal tadka,<br/>masala Pappad, (shud try v nice)<br/>garlic naan<br/>Peshawari naan(new thing - one can try a v little sweet bcz of dry fruits)<br/>Everything was very good...perfect for a dinner or a lunch place...<br/>Just when u enter this place..you will also find fish SPA there and that too with just ₹80 per person..and also you get a drink free...<br/>The service was a little slow...and also DO CHECK THE BILL ...ours was not correct and had to get it checked..<br/>But the food was good..

I visited this restaurant on August 16 on my Pondicherry visit. We booked for our seat for 3 persons. When our turn came after over 30 min wait, the owner lied to us that we booked table for 5 persons and asked us to leave restaurant. This is firstly very RUDE. We finally got seats. Ordered for dishes like: Dal Makhani, Dum Aloo Patiala and Veg Jalfrezi along with roti and naan. After ordering, we noticed poor service by waiter, table not cleaned, water not served even after repeated requests. Other customers sitting on other tables were also having one or other kind of complains. When order served, Dal Makhani was missing...we repeated request, it didn't arrived. We had to cancel Dal makhani and butter roti as it was't served on time. The waiter were very happy to cancel the order. As far as food taste is concerned, it was a disappointment...below average...like typical Delhi dhaba food roadside. This was against hype around this restaurant. My wife was very disappointed and towards the end complained to the owner. The things doesn't stop here. They first brought bill which includes Dal makhani... we had to ask them correct the bill and didn't paid for Dal Makhani. Overall very much disappointed with food quality and service quality. I give Dilliwalla6 0.5 POINTS OUT OF 5.
Richa Gahlot
Excellent food. The staff is courteous and friendly. The best part is that you get wheat rotis here. It's a continuously running restaurant .<br/>
Anupama Viswanath
Perfect place for you if you're craving for some delicious north-indian khana! Charming and comfortable ambience with pretty interiors. Had a good time when I came here with my family.<br/><br/>Favourites: "Paneer Tikka" and "Mexican Paratha"<br/><br/>However, I suggest you book a table in advance, or you may need to wait for sometime during rush hours.
TEJENDRA BHANDARI
Super awesome .....<br/>Dal tadka<br/>Dal makhni<br/>Paneer lababdar<br/>Biryani<br/>..<br/><br/>Just awesome by taste and serving quantity is also quite good with the attitude of staff.... Bang on the taste and hospitality by the way like delhiiets ......<br/><br/>
Aayushi Aggarwal
They made us wait for an hour and finally told that the stock was over and they can't serve us. The staff was also very rude in their behavior.<br/>
Samridhi Nagpal
It's a blessing for North Indian traveling to Pondicherry. You get good north indian food over here. Dal makhni was amazing. The service is little slow but bearable.
Jyoti Gupta
A superp North Indian food joint, thanks to Zomato for helping us locate it👍.<br/><br/>Good authentic North Indian taste, awesome. Must try for all North Indian food lovers.<br/>This place is so famous that it actually receives more guests than its capacity.<br/><br/>A huge negative point is that it stopped receiving guest around 9.30 pm, I would recommend the management to keep it open till 11.30 pm at least during peak tourist seasons.
Chavi Singhal
Extremely poor service. We had to cancel half of our order. The staff was more than happy to not serve as it reduced their workload. The prices are comparable to a metro city, the service in turn is extremely poor. Though the food was good but overall disappointing experience. Would not cone here again
Gaurav Kumar
Ambienc and decor I would rate it highly, very nice place to hangout out, but the food was ok, it's ok for a one time visit and if you are excepting something exceptional l then avoid the place
Rima Agarwalla
Writing this even before starting my meal ..I was so awed by the reviews and waited over 45 min..just to be told that 90% menu is unavailable and gotta place order at one go coz they don’t want to take any further order..food forms such imp part of a trip and was keen to try some authentic French cuisine ..big turn off
Koushik
Well ! This place becomes a mandatory lunch date.<br/>First time I have tried this restaurant which came out as excellent in terms of everything.<br/>During my second visit I have tried again and they never fail to amaze with their dishes.<br/>Raita which I have never thought can be that much tasty is a great addition to Kashmiri Veg Pulav.<br/>Apart from that I have tested Mushroom matar masala and Malai kofta curry.<br/>Waiting to visit for the Third time !
Dipta Dutta
The food taste was good but the lack of hygiene amazed me..!! They had hair in the curry. And when I asked them to replace it, the replaced curry had hair in it too.. It ruined my mood for food like anything.. Negligence to foodplace hygiene is shocking..
Kishan Mallik
It's been a while since I visited this place but the memory of a happy meal there makes me so happy. I was on a holiday and went there for dinner on one of those days. Soul soothing food.

The most horrible food I’ve ever had in Pondy. The service was much more pathetic. The paneer side dish at a so called authentic North Indian place was horrible, it would have tased better at a South Indian restaurant. For the price they charge absolutely not worth it .
Prabhat Saxena
I was here on 14th July,2019. This was a trip with parents. The place was difficult to find at the entrance was compact and it was at the edge of the crossroads. We went in, the ac was chilling (bearable). Once you get in, the signals takes a toss. (Though Voda sucks in lot many places now). We ordered dal tadka, butter naan, chilli paneer and fried rice. The waiting time given was 20 mins but the actual waiting time was around 30 mins with 2-3 reminders. The worst part the dal was not fried, it was a plain dal. Since my parents started consuming it so my parents could only tell me mid way. I asked him for the dal fry, this was further delayed as my parents had already taken their lunch. So my menu was changed from dal fry to plain dal. (I personally do not like it when someone does it with my food). There were also a bit of other goofups at the time of service. They were like the water ordered by us was given to the table right to ours. We were served french fries which belonged to the table left to ours.(Again wrong order). At the time of billing they leg go the price of dal, I requested them to add the rates of plain dal as we were served and have consumed it. They politely denied. They probably have average spices or they might be far off from the likes of Delhi cuisines but they surely delighted my parents with the dal fiasco closure. 3 star for food and 1 star personally to Salve for accepting and correcting the mistake ( a basic for the hospitality industry).
Pri B
Horrible is the word. Ordered veg biriyani and veg schezwan noodles. It was pathetic. How do they serve such bad food and still get such good reviews remains a mystery to me n my friends. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Probably the best place to eat North Indian food in Pondicherry. Great taste, portions and variety. Bonus: They have a fish spa which entitles you to a free drink.
Meher Sampat
It is a really good place....Amazing service and friendly staff. Geeta And the other staff members really helped us in everything..great place for pure vegetarians.
Anil Prasad
Food is good but service needs to improve. Had been to this place around 9:30PM as they are closing by 10:30 we had to order everything in one go and we didn't had a pleasant experience.
Gaurav Bothra
Probably the only famous north indian place in pondicherry. The place is located right next to Aurobindo Ashram.<br/><br/>Had a mixed foodie experience here. The starters were really good and had that south indian spicy touch. Whilst the main course was a little on the disappointing end. The jeera rice ordered was very oily and had no flavours in it.<br/>The highlight dish was chilli paneer, the paneer had the perfect texture and taste.<br/><br/>Food - 3/5<br/>Ambience - 3/5<br/>Pricing - moderate<br/><br/>Overall it was an okayish experience !

If you are a vegetarian tourist, having indian cuisines cravings, this is the right place.<br/>I stayed in Pondicherry for 3 days and ended up eating at this place every day.<br/><br/>There's variety of options from Chat to Chinese, North Indian spicy food to Mexican, you'll get almost everything that too at reasonable cost.<br/><br/>Quality and quantity being served was good, ambience was also great and staff was very polite sometimes delays can be seen due to heavy crowd but as you are on trip you have plenty of time 😛<br/><br/>Talking about dishes which I personally liked and would recommend are,<br/><br/>Grilled Exotic Veggies served with pesto sauce (star dish 😋😋)<br/><br/>Chole bhature<br/><br/>Paneer Lababdar and Kadhai Veg with Naan<br/><br/>Paneer tiranga served with naan(enough for two people as a meal)<br/><br/>Chilli Paneer<br/><br/>Noodles were also fine in taste<br/><br/>*** only thing which I don't suggest is manchurian, it was tasteless, well you can't expect everything comes out to be great from single place.<br/><br/>Overall a fabulous experience. Its situated very close to Pomegranate Beach, after a heavy meal you can go for a walk which was the best part 😊<br/><br/>

Me and husband was here for our Anniversary lunch. It is a quite and a decent place for lunch. The L. Seekh Kebab was amazing. The garlic naan was thin and sprinkled corriander leaves on top of it was really good. The Latcha paratha and Dum Aaloo Patiala was found good. The veg fried rice was too good and after almost 5 years I had a very good fried rice.<br/>The Kesar badam drink was the yummylicious.<br/><br/>The option of bottled water was not offered and directly given,it could have been asked and served. ( Not everyone prefers bottled water). Server Geeta and Mani was found attentive. Over all good dinning experience and thanks to the OM.<br/><br/>Suggestion:- The girls in the restaurant are new and could not see the smile on their faces.<br/>

This is one of my favourite places in Pondicherry. It's an absolute vegetarian place but trust me you gonna love it even if you are a hardcore non-vegetarian. Right from the food till the ambience everything is just so good. Don't miss out on this place if you visit Pondicherry.

I went here with alot of expectations after reading the reviews but looks like it's all hyped. Ordered malai kofta and tandoori roti and turned out to be disastrous. Just over priced for no reason.

I took my wife to this restaurant on my wedding anniversary. Quite calm place near the beach road at Pondicherry. They serve high quality Vegetarian food and all the dishes are of great taste and high standards. We enjoyed our day here and it is worth to visit and value for your money.

Ambience-3.5/5<br/>Food-5/5<br/>Service-4/5<br/>VFM-4.5/5<br/><br/>Absolutely love this place. It's usually very crowded at night especially during weekends and rightfully so. Every item that I ordered was cooked to perfection and I can't recommend anything better at this price. Thank you for making my visit to Pondicherry delicious.<br/>

The food is good, we went to this place around 8 p.m. and half of the menu was not available. We ordered dal makhni and paneer sabzi the food was good bt the service was horrible. They need to work on their customer service.

Very noisy!!! But food is decent, lived up-to our expectation...staff is courteous... need to work on controlling nonsense behavior of some of the guests..

They have the best mushroom starter "Khumb Peshewari". Perfectly grilled mushroom stuffed with cheese and spinach with the perfect blend of the peshwari spices.

Anyone looking for authentic "Delhi ka khaana" in this SOUTH INDIAN heaven should undoubtedly head towards this place.<br/><br/>During our 2 nights stay in white town, Dilliwaala 6 was our humble abode - our restaurant next door. We must have tried atleast one-third of their menu - it was totally worth it. The ambiance was pleasing, the popping colors blew my mind away. The restaurant showcases multipple seating arrangements - indoors and outdoors. Since the temperatures were high we preferred  indoors. The place is definitely insta friendly.<br/><br/>Since we tried a lot - here i'll review a few covering max cuisines as possible.<br/><br/>Vegetable ball manchurian in hot garlic sauce and vegetable fried rice : Since i prefer least spicy food, to my surprise it was acc to my liking - supremely tasty with a perfect sense of chinese spices. I would definitely recommend it.<br/>Rating: 5/5<br/><br/>Tandoori gobhi : The moment i felt the tender taste of gobhi in my mouth, i fazed out. I had always longed for such perfectly cooked gobhi. This starter is must for all the gobhi lovers like me.<br/>Rating : 5/5<br/><br/>Drinks: Shakes and mocktails were aesthetically presented and were delicious as well.<br/><br/>Pondy Beach (Mocktail) : 4.5/5 (half mark deducted for less sugar could have been a bit more)<br/>Chocolate Hazelnut shake : 5/5 (Totally amazing - blended with perfection)<br/><br/>Verdict: Hands down - It's a pick. Must visit!<br/>Ambiance: 5/5 (Mesmerising)<br/>Food: 5/5 <br/>Service: 4.5/5 (As per the season they were short staffed but courteous for sure)<br/>Hygiene: 5/5<br/>Value for money : 5/5 (You can never expect such cheap prices - for all those living in metro cities)

My first time in Pondy, Visited today at around 10 pm..unfortunately we were asked for last order. We ordered a paneer lababdar, paneer Kadhai, dal makhani, nizam Biriyani, naan and some deserts. Except Naan and water, none of the others reached our least expectations. Either today was not their best day or this place is seriously overrated.

Amidst the crepes, pastas, croques, & croissants if you are craving for some desi roti, subzi, daal, & chawal in Pondy, then this place is your oasis.<br/><br/>Though they also serve Continental & Chinese, people mostly throng here for desi street food, North Indian, & finger foods.<br/><br/>They typically serve all sorts of dishes in Indian platter for soups, starters, breads, & a wide variety of choices in curry.<br/><br/>This vegetarian only restaurant has also some vegan options & serves Jain food.<br/><br/>Table booking is strongly recommended unless you have patience to wait in long queues with a hungry stomach plus sniffing aroma that is absolutely mouth-watering.

We ordered a tiranga paneer platter, onion rings, and lasooni aloo for starters and Mexican paratha and schezwan fried rice for main course. Aloo was supposed to be baby potatoes but these were too big and not marinated properly. Service was slow and not up to the mark as well. Food was delicious though.

They have all Indian cuisine and will definitely make you feel like being in Delhi restaurant.<br/><br/>FOOD :<br/><br/>Food here was so amazing both taste and quantity wise.<br/>We end up going here twise because after all at the end of the day we Indian need some Indian food to spice up our day a little.😅<br/><br/>AMBIANCE: ambiance is 10/10.<br/>It's so beautiful and not cozy at all. They have enough space for both families or friends.<br/><br/>Must try this place if you want to go for an Indian cuisine and have a great experience in such restaurant.<br/><br/>Thank you for hosting us.

Located in the heart of White Town, it is a place which serves an excellent variety of food other than South Indian food. I would recommend 'Lassi Chaat' which is just next to the main entrance of '#Dilliwala6' and serves inside the premises. It serves authentic chaats along with Pav Bhaji, Chole Bhature and much more.<br/><br/>

We ordered Biryani, mushroom roast and salad . The food was amazing and the interiors were quirky. The staff was friendly this though the restaurant opens at 7 so if you're early you'll have to wait.
