Review Spice Route Resto Pub - Pondicherry

It might be their one of the bad day, but service was poor. The order we placed didn't came in sequence. Had to remind the waiter multiple times for it. The taste of food was also not great to compensate for the bad service. Not so nice experience 🤩❤️😇🍃

Nice place. Close to the beach. Ordered for 2 fish dishes, they were good. Not spicy. Ambience is like any mordern pub. With different seatings. Went in the afternoon, so there was no crowd at all.

A range of sea-food & cocktails ✌️ This place was our last option at 10:30pm as all other restaurants were shutting down, and we were lucky to have this as our only option :) The place had a good seating arrangement and humble waiters. We were already quite hungry and straightaway went for the main course and ordered crabs, lobsters and squid. In the drinks, I don't really remember, but strong mocktails were the choice of the night ! The sea-food was well cooked and well presented (which is important) as well. The drinks were superb, and we had to repeat order the drinks to suffice everyone's thirst. In all, it was a beautiful foodie experience with the cost also not being too high, considering the standard of food & locality. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5

A famous resto pub located near to the rock beach ⛱️ pondicherry! Much variety of cocktails, and starters food and mocktails and dj on floor mixed up beat songs simply made our foot to put dance! Best private spaces, low-light spots! Became one of my fav pubs! If you are a pair visiting this resto pub jus order one quantity from their menus items which is sufficient for 2ppl!

Loved the ambience of this place. Great music gigs and the electric guitar performance was just amazing. The food was pretty good and the service was nice.

Good place to get some drinks such as cocktails, shots and non alcholic ones too and food with nice ambiance. Bit high on rates though but still good services and quite place.

The sea food platter has a range of sea-food & cocktails 🍸 This place was our last hit at 3:30pm , where the chef had the patients to keep the kitchen open for us ,as all other restaurants were shutting down, and it didn’t disappoint us as our only option 🤔 The place had a good seating arrangement but seats can be little cosy. All in one sea food platter which we ordered had crabs, lobsters and squid. The sea food was well cooked and well presented. Overall a very nice experience, the music 🎧 was making it a totally a different kind of a atmosphere 😊 Ambiance: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5

A fine ambience reminiscent of the relaxed days of yore. Quick service with genuine smiles. Good collection of spirits and a fine spread of eats both small and main course. Reasonable rates. Great location.

Food is good. Bar is awesome, drinks were good. Ambience was nice. Service is also good.

I had a mixed experience. The tables were low. When you sit on the couch or sofa, the table is at the level of your waist. You have to bend down a lot to have your food. And there temperature of the restaurant isn't uniform throughout. You feel good when you're near the A.C. but far from it is kind of hot and stuffy. Coming to the food. There are varieties of items. I ordered an Italian soup which was average in terms of taste and i wasn't much pleased with the quantity. But the Kung Pao chicken (in the picture) was absolutely smashing in terms of taste, quality and quantity. It comes with a salad which i personally would have preferred pickled but never mind. I would have preferred a 3.5 star to be exact.

Good ambience , loved the cocktails, music and food variety of dishes available. Quick service and staff is very approachable. Would love to come again.

Worst experience ever. Came all the way from Bangalore. Booked a table for our group. The person over call confirmed the table. When we went to the place the cheapster over the counter said he had no clue who spoke and he never confirmed. Would request you people to be careful with this place. Night wasted!

One of the must visits when you are in Puducherry. We had the tandoori king prawns and masala lobster, they were scrumptious. The lobster was cheaper than most other places. Good food, good ambience and good service.

An average place. Was there on a week day. So was quite. Food okay

The reason 2 star is not because of bad food quality. Food quality is quite good and so is the ambience. However I didn't like their way of giving me a supposedly open Mineral Water which it wasn't and charge me Rs 50 for it. They didn't even bother to give me the bill back after I paid them and kept Rs 2 balance as a self tip. Very shady work I must say.
