Review Sicilys - Pondicherry

Good location is for sure. I tried the fresh beer options which turned out to be a stale. But we informed them , they changed it for bottled ones. We ordered greek pizza, garlic bread and prawn fritters. The prawns are too good and so was the pizza, thin crust and full of flavor. The music was sad and some music channel was playing. Service was good

This place deserves an easy five star. Really good service and the food is amazing. The Pizza Margherita had the perfect balance of cheese and sauce which is hard to get. Every item on the menu is really good. Must try!

We went to this place for some Italian food but since it was almost 10pm and as they close by 10:30pm, they stopped taking new orders. So we went back next day little early and got ourselves a table. The atmosphere wasn’t as good as it was when it was full the day before but still it was okay. We ordered a seafood pizza , Veg Ratatouille and Chicken white sauce Pasta . They were out of Wheat bear so took one blueberry flavoured Lager. Food was good although the Ratatouille could have been better. We got the pasta packed. Since there was only one slice of Blueberry Cheesecake left we took it but it was really disappointing and no where close to any decent cheesecake we ever had anywhere else. Overall will definitely recommend this place for some nice Italian and finger food. Its right opposite the beach on the Promenade so you can enjoy the atmosphere and the view.

Really liked the food here. Paneer steak was unexpectedly the best among all. Pineapple mojito was very refreshing. Paneer pizza was good. Didn't quite like the caramel cheesecake, the consistency wasn't very satisfying. They served caramel custard by mistake instead of caramel cheesecake but the staff was very decent to replace it. Overall a great place to eat. 👌

Had ordered English breakfast but took all the items separate instead of their regular platter, french toast, Fresh Juice and cheese cake. Cheese cake could have been better. Juices were too good to beat the pondicherry humid and hot weather. From English breakfast sausages were dry, bacon were brunt but they had changed it. Hashbrown could have been a bit better. Overall it is a nice place to enjoy breakfast. Services took 30 minutes on an average. Atmosphere is nice and Sea Facing except I had faced " flies issue "

Got to have a Europe like experience here. Came here for breakfast. They have limited veg options. Pancakes were not so yummy. Food was overpriced for the quantity and taste, but we can pay for the ambience though. If you're there in the beach early, and want to try foreign breakfast, this is a nice place

A very good restaurant serving some good continental cusines in a wonderfull location. One of the best sea view restaurant. Service is bit slow and bit congested place. But overall its an highly recommended places those who want to try exclusive continental food. And dont forget to try their varieties of cheese cakes.

Consistently good food. Have been to this place in every visit of Puducherry. This place never disappointed us till date. Be it Seafood / Chicken / Continental, great taste, right quantity, quick service and good attitude of staff. May be due to our experience at this place till date, we didn't check other places at Puducherry. Go for it, people. By the way, it's location makes it right choice when hungry and in that area.

Steak was the best, would recommend trying. The chef definitely put the skills where required for medium rare meat, which was tender and juicy. It was the best steak ever. (P.s. we are comparing with all the places we have tried from Bangalore) all the dishes we tried were non vegetarian.

Best thing about this place is the location. It has the best views of Bay of Bengal . Service was great. Food was average but dessert was good

A beach facing restaurant which serves beer on tap and mouth watering delicacies. The pastas (had chicken bolognese) are total yum , we also had butter garlic prawns, loaded chicken nachos, sea food pizza, everything was too good. They serve a refreshing Belgian wheat beer on tap which is the most apt thing to take in during this 40 degrees summer. The desserts are authentic, I would recommend their crème brulle and blueberry cheese cake which were cheery on the top!!

Hands down, the best food I’ve had in Pondicherry. Ordered almost everything on the veg menu (spaghetti pasta, nachos, lasagna, fries,cheesecake), except their burger, which I’m sure wouldn’t have disappointed as well. The portions are apt and the staff is courteous. A bit crowded but worth the wait.

The place is really cool. It is situated near to the shore. Breakfast is good here. One can enjoy the breeze and can have the breakfast.

I gave a 5 star mainly for their excellent service. They kept replenishing water, napkins, drinks promptly. Plates were cleared as soon as we were done. Loved the pizzas, nachos & bloody mary drink. Would definitely stop by again and recommend this place by the beach.

A small resto bar right on the beach serving absolutely wonderful continental food. Ambience is not too fancy. Good service by a team of youngsters.

Great sea facing cafe/restaurant right at the end of the promenade. We tried their beef burger, arabiatta pasta, margherita pizza, blueberry cheesecake and caramel custard. All the items were pretty good, especially the beef burger (Paris Delice)

It's an amazing place, great food, amazing atmosphere, beautiful location, and best hospitality ever. The behavior of the staff is so nice that you feel like coming here again and again. I have stayed in Pondicherry for three days and came here twice a day. You trip will be incomplete if you don't visit this cafe.

Good thing first, Small, Neat n sensibly decorated place...good staff ..was so happy to hear him talk English. Pepperoni pizza was amazing ...fish steak is yum ..nice cafe ...wel, they bought our fish streak a lil too late,,,otherwise it’s all cool .loved it ...n yes, it’s sea view.

Beer , pizza and good music plus beach facing. What else could you ask for !!!!! Perfect place to relax and enjoy the vibes of Pondicherry. All the pizzas are delicious .

Visited this restaurant for lunch. Located in the corner along Rock beach, one can expect a fancy crowd turn up for booze and finger food. The ambience is cosy but can feel very crowded at peak hours especially because of very less space for waiters to move around. They have a good selection of drinks and food which goes well with booze. Pricing is on par with expectations. It's a good hangout and/or good for a quick break from beach breeze.

Wood-fire baked pizzas with soft, slightly crunchy crusts, ample toppings and that beautiful smoky aroma - they were just the right thing to go with the sweet Pondicherry breeze wafting in from the beach.<br/><br/>We took the food home and regretted one thing - we should have had it at the restaurant itself.

This place is situated at a cozy corner bang on the beach road. We ordered beef bolognese, pink pasta, Mediterranean pizza and the food was simply mind blowing. The portions appeared to be small but was quite filling for the three of us. We wanted to gorge on the amazing pies we had set our eyes on from the moment we entered. Unfortunately we were too full from all the yumminess and had to save the dessert for another day. We will be back again for more.

Best burger

Right across the road facing the Rock beach it has a straight view of the sea. The food is mouth-wateringly delicious. Every dish we ordered was delightful and i cannot express my satisfaction with words. If you are fond of continental cuisine, this place definitely has something to delight you.

Located close to the Promenade, this place provides you with a variety of pizzas, pasta and great seafood appetizers. They also offer a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The staff is friendly but a little slow with the service. But the great food is worth the wait. I tried their Pasta Arabbiatta and Prawn Fritters. The pasta was tasty but the highlight were the fritters. Crunchy coating and soft prawns were utterly delicious and yummy. Gorging down on this delicious meal with Breezer on hot afternoon was total bliss.

A decent pizza place that serves a fair bit of popular fast food and continental dishes as well. It is situated near one end of the promenade and has both indoor and outdoor seating sections. They also serve liquor and tea/coffee also.<br/><br/>We had ordered a pizza and the pizza was pretty decent. The crust was just a little overdone, but the toppings and the taste were alright. Although to be fair enough, you will probably get better pizza in certain other places, what adds to the charm is that the place is right beside the bay. The evenings would really be a nice time to spend with friends here.<br/><br/>Go here if you are in the promenade and want to have a pizza and still want to be close to the sea.

This place was on my list even before coming to pondicherry.. I have been reading about it and I must say that it has lived upto it's expectations..<br/><br/>First of all the location, sea facing and breath taking during evening.. this place has a courteous staff and helpful in recommending the right food as per your pallette.<br/><br/>I ordered a chicken sausage and grilled onion pizza, chicken lasagna and a tiramisu. The lasagna was very much similar to what we cook back at our home and had the freshness to it. The pizza was perfectly cooked and the toppings were in good quantity.<br/><br/>Tiramisu is a must try here... Even if you don't eat the main course, pleas do try this dessert here.. it is fresh and yum..

Visited this place as it was on the beach and was highly rated on Zomato only to be disappointed. The food was not really great. The pizza turned out to be a safe option however the pesto pasta was extremely bad.<br/><br/>The desserts were way better than the meal though.<br/><br/>Definitely not a must visit place. :|

Totally loved the food and service at Sicily's. The pizza was so damn good, just made so well. We also tried burgers, chicken wings and a couple of vegetarian starters. They were all good too. Desserts were yummy as well. I wouldn't recommend trying pasta here.

Had the mojito and veg lasagne. Both were good esp the lasagne, well done and cheesy goodness. Average service.

Pasta vegetables were rotten, people in service was arrogant, cleaner was brooming when we were eating and got angry when asked to stop, service is hopeless and priced up unnecessary

While walking along the promenade beach, we came across this place and decided to give it a try. It’s a decent place. The food is okayish. Ambience is good. Staff is courteous. Tried chicken streak which was good in terms of quality but was too bland. Had to ask for oregano and pepper to make it yumm. It offers some great cocktails and mocktails as well though limited variety. Overall a decent place to visit in Pondicherry.

People here love to have sea food and also it's right on the promenade which means the beach is right there. Hence it always smells Sandy and fishy<br/>Nevermind that. Surely visit the place for some outstanding pizzas. We had the Vegetarian one with all vegetables and also ordered a pesto spaghetti which was brilliant too!

This place is one of the highest rated place in Pondicherry and hence, we went for dinner. While we didn't think it was a mind blowing place, it was still a good place. We tried corn cheese nuggets which were okayish. We also tried meditarranean pizza which was really good. We also tried potato veg burger which was also decent. Overall good experience.

The food is awesome, specially the wood fire pizza. I am not a pizza fab personally but loved the pizza at this place.<br/>Burger was average. Not something extraordinary. I loved the ambience which comes with great hindi music. It's right on the beach.<br/>The only issue with this place is the service time. They are slow and hence we had to wait a lot for order to arrive.

I went in here specially since I had checked this place out on ZOMATO and it had good reviews. I ordered a carbonara spaghetti which was easily the greasiest pasta dish I ever had. It made me sick right away and I couldn't finish it ofcourse. And the food later caused food poisoning and I was puking all night after that. I had read this happened to some other customers too. Please be careful while ordering food here.

We ordered burgers and probably that was the worst choice. They came with a thick slices of old mozzerella cheese. Looking at them itself, it felt so greasy. We did have them but they caused food poisioning. I would highly suggest people to be cautious before having food here.

Went for dinner to this place. The best part about the place is its location - it is right at the beach. <br/><br/>But, was disappointed by the service quality. Ordered a Kingfisher beer but was told that it was not available. Had to settle for Bira. Asked for a better table but was told that it was reserved for eight people. Noticed later that it was given to a couple, just like us. <br/><br/>Ordered for Pesto Grilled Chicken and Vine Tomato pizza and Pesto pasta (got chicken added). Can imagine that the wood fire pizzas take time but this took forever. The pizza was just about fine; the chicken was added in a miserly manner. The pasta, though, was delightful.<br/><br/>Overall, a fair experience that could have been better.

Great place to sit and eat with the great sea view. Ambience is very nice. Food is good except the vegetarian pizza, which was AMAZING. We ordered baked french fries, veg pizza, veg burger, veg lasagne. They all tasted great. Virgin mojito is good too. The cafe is neat. The music there adds to the ambience. And the cafe is so comfortable that we could sit there for hours. The staff seemed to be nice and active. Services are really quick during weekends.

Puducherrys White Town has got few new restaurants opened recently. This is my first visit to Sicilys.<br/><br/>Food menu is with more of Continental Cuisine, Italian, American.<br/><br/>Casual Interiors as it is the trend all over, so it got very usual, simple raw Wooden and Iron combination furn, A bar counter with Italian coffee machine, and cocktail counter, pendent lights, few seats outdoor were smoking is allowed.<br/><br/>Service guys are not so professional, they don't recommend anything, random service they do.<br/><br/>We ordered a Pasta, Veg Burger, Fries, Calamari & Prawn Fritters, few beers and few glasses of Whiskey.<br/><br/>Pasta - Penne Bolognese was Creamy and The portioning was sufficient with good quantity of minced meat.<br/><br/>We ordered a Wood Fire Classic Sicilys Non Veg Pizza Large, it's a thin crust pizza with good amount of cheese, meat, jalapenos.<br/><br/>Hand Made Mushroom Burger with Fries was okiesh.<br/><br/>Fries which we ordered was good in quantity and taste.<br/><br/>Calamari and Prawn Fritters were the disappointing one on the whole, it tasted like frozen, not freshly made.<br/><br/>VFM 4/5<br/>Ambiance 3.5/5<br/>Food 4/5<br/>Service 3.5/5<br/>Location 5/5<br/>Overall 4/5<br/><br/>

This cafe is rightly located along the rock beach side. The ambience is super pleasant and the music was also loud and cheerful even though it was a Thursday afternoon.<br/>The food is 3.5/10<br/>We had ordered the al fungi pizza, mac and cheese , strawberry lemon and fresh watermelon juice.<br/>The Mac and cheese was average but the pizza has yumm.

They had a board outside listing today's special I followed the same and ordered chicken lasagna and fresh lime soda. Lasagna was small in size and came with complementary bread. It had only 2 layers of pasta, also if you're a cheese lover & expecting a load full of cheese then you'll be disappointed only enough to cover up the top layer. Best thing is it was overloaded with chicken 😇

Unexpectedly good food (judging the outside sitting). Ambience was okay, but the food mattered. It over looks the promenade beach, it's a lovely sight for sore eyes. Would visit this place again.

A pretty amazing cafe.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>Located right by the beach, this is a really chill cafe that you can hang out at. They serve pretty good Italian dishes so you could probably try those. In Addition to that, they have a pretty tiny but nice bar. So coming onto the food. I tried a sphagetti and a margarita. The spaghetti was amazing and went along pretty well with the Margarita. The ambience was pretty nice and I loved the peaceful vibe the place gave off.

Very friendly staff.. excellent food and quality.. we had the vegetable lasagna and the chicken steak... ambience was very laid back and relaxed.. will definitely be back.. :)

Sicily's is beautifully located by the sea and I love hanging out there with the street dogs that camp under their outdoor benches. Food is not superb but ok enough with the view compensating for the disappointments that may arise. However, I ordered a burger via Zomato recently and it took an hour for it to be delivered - apparently a mistake on part of the restaurant. Also, this is the first place I have seen a burger being served with no french fries/wedges - it just seemed stingy and thoughtless given theyre charging a steep 300/- for essentially a bun with a meat pattie, a slice of tomato and cucumber and a dash of mayo. I hope the management ups its game and doesnt rely on the location to do all the work!

I had heard a lot about the Pesto Spaghetti and I went to the restaurant just to try this. And I was blown. Basil pesto olive oil the spices were well balanced. My friends liked this better than the chicken Spaghetti bolognese we ordered. Vegetarian food never Tasted this better.

The restaurant is located at a very central place overlooking the quintessential rock beach. This place is always buzzing with people for this one specific reason.<br/><br/>The dishes tasted good, but not too impressive, I would say.<br/>The prices are quite high compared to other restaurants with same menu.<br/>Service is really satisfying.<br/><br/>If not for the high prices, this place would be my go-to.

I visited sicilys two weeks ago. A small, beautiful cafe by the rock beach is a pleasing sight in itself. The decor consists of black, white and red colours which is soothing to the eyes. They have a seating area outside too if you intend to smoke. We showed up on a rather sunny afternoon to this cozy outlet. The first thing you see when you walk in is the pastry counter full of fascinating pastries. We ordered ourselves a Californian pizza, a chicken steak and a choco flan from the pastry counter. The only reason I'd rate this place 4 instead of 5 would be the pizza. The thin crust wood fired pizza was not bad but it tasted sort of bland. My advice would be to season it a little more. The chicken steak was tender, juicy, and the cut up mushrooms in the sauce were a win. With fries, it's the perfect meal for a person who's looking for healthy and junk food in one plate on a holiday. The choco flan was just so delectable. Caramel custard on top and a chocolate cake on the bottom. Worked like magic. So delicious, it makes you want more and more bites of it. Absolutely beautiful. I hope they keep making it. Be sure to visit this place if you are in Pondicherry and are looking for good, affordable food.

The location is the USP of Sicilys. You can enjoy the beautiful stretch of the promenade from here. Wooden chairs, red brick walls make the interior attractive. Food was delicious. Their special chicken club sandwich was too heavy for one person to finish. So was the veg handmade burger. I would recommend both. Virgin Mojito was good too. The servers were professional and service was really good.

It was a decent cozy place which is located right on the rock beach. The ambience was good with a nice view.. the pizza and pasta was ok and the service was really good.

People in Pondicherry, (damn) this is an amazing place by the beach. They have amazing pizza. The proper Italian style. I loved everything about this place.

Well this town can offer you never ending cafes and each one better than before. Sicily as the name suggest is a italian pizza place near the rock beach. We had a pizza which was perfectly made, may not be the best in the town but being the best here is a big deal. The base was crunchy, thin and the toppings and sauce were authentic. Should check it this out if you are around this area.

If you like mushroom and cheese - please go here and have their pizza. It is amazing. So amazing. And the location is a plus side.<br/>Also try, pesto mozzarella balls

Located right on the beach road in white town, it has the perfect location.<br/>Awesome thing is they serve alcoholic drinks as well.<br/>You get to eat your food with the view of sea green sea.<br/><br/>The ambience is vibrant and quirky. (See pics attached)<br/><br/>In food we ordered:<br/>1. Cold coffee- great, all the coffee lovers will love it.<br/><br/>2. Dark chocolate Shake- Not good. Don't order.<br/><br/>3. Alferdo chicken Spaghetti- we loved the taste, it had the right amount of spices and sauce. We ordered in pink sauce.<br/><br/>4. Chicken steak- it was served in mushroom sauce along with fries and sauteed vegetables. The taste was nice however the chicken was a bit chewy.<br/><br/>5. Nutella Banana cake- it was amazing and loaded with Nutella.<br/><br/>Overall it was a wonderful lunch here.<br/>Service is slow but sweet.<br/><br/>

One of the best places near rock beach to grab something while you feel the cold breeze of sea. Veg Lasagne is a must try and Mediterranean veg pizza is also you can give a shot in veg section.<br/>In soup we tried Roasted Tomato Bell pepper which was also good in tatse.

The food was average. We ordered octopus with red sauce pasta. It was not good and rather too spicy. Beef burger was not juicy and bit saulty. Fried chicken with barbecue sauce was good. All Desserts seem nice only. We ordered banana nutella cake. Cocktails are decent. The view though... Is amazing!!

And here, they have more than 21 different types of them! <br/><br/>From the Californian, Mediterranean, Hawaiian, to Indiana – they’ve seriously gone the whole hog when it comes to thinking up toppings. Their house special pizza, also called Sicilys Classic Veg, is a must-try for veg lovers. It comes with Jalapeno, Corn, Olives, & Broccoli. One of my favorites however is Pizza al Pesto that is made with pesto sauce, olives, & basil. Even non vegetarians will find more than a few options to choose from – The BBQ Chicken & Pork Pepperoni are two you can check out.

I did visit this place on 21st March,2019.<br/>We ordered Black pomfret and a Chicken Sausage Pizza with Bacon topping.<br/><br/>The Pizza - Yes the crust and cheese tasted really good but the toppings were a dissapointment. For the premium price that shouldn't be a problem.<br/><br/>The Fish - Fish was fresh but the taste was not good with Cajuan spices(maybe our sauce selection was not good), so its an objective thing won't dwelve there! But should have been grilled a bit more for my liking.<br/><br/>Tart - Wow,loved it.

A good cafe!!The ambience is lovely. The surrounding of the beach is amazing. And the most important ie the food is as good as everything in this cafe. It’s cuisine matches the stay in white town. #tastyfoodinwhitetown

Right beside the sea with the sea breeze at night when you get outdoor seating, its perfect for a romantic evening. They have beer and it is a perfect place to hangout with friends. The food is good and pizzas fresh.

Very tasty pizza and a delicious seafood marinara pasta in a nice seafront setting. Quick, friendly service and great drinks list too. Ice cold beers to wash it all down and a truly excellent cosmopolitan (x3).

Passed by this cafe many times.....but yesterday only we attempted to try der.....we ordered<br/>1. Margarita pizza.....it was good.....thin crust.... And crispy too<br/>2. Mac N Cheese.....it was good......not bad.....

Spotted this restaurant while taking a walk at the promenade beach. Full points for location and view. Coming to the food, I ordered spaghetti bolognese, classic veg pizza and chocolate pastry. The pizza was okay. Spaghetti was lip-smacking although the garlic bread was a tad too hard.

It's a beautiful place facing rocky beach. We tried the four cheese pizza which was really amazing. Never had anything like it before. The non veg burgers were good too. The chicken wings took a bit more time but it was worth the wait. All and all a nice place to go and enjoy the sea view. The place has boat oars as decorations which I really liked.

Had a quick bite on Pork Sausage and Chicken Pizza and Virgin Mojito. The taste was amazing and the regular pizza is 12 inches so it helps filling up too. The only bad experience would be, it did not have any hot beverages apart from Machine Coffee and green tea, not even hot chocolate and menu had a long list of hot beverages. Rest food was great.

Thanks for spoiling my Sunday dinner. Well searched this place at zomato and went their with my family on 17/2/19. The front of this place is under renovation and u can't see any nameboard. We ordered minestrone soup, stuffed chicken breast, chicken lasagne , penne pasta with basil and veg burger. The soup just doesn't taste right with some odd smell coming from it, they changed two bowls after smelling themselves. The grilled chicken breast was horrendous, so hard ,it was not only difficult to chew but also difficult to cut with a knife and it was partially cooked. I would just rate the chicken lasagne as upto mark as it tasted good. Zomato should themselves review places and not mark such places as 4.1. highly disappointed.

It’s a cute little place on the rock beach. I tried the spaghetti carbonara and I loved it. I even tried the veg burger, which was pretty average. It’s a nice place to go to.
