Love, love, love this place! The cute and quaint decor combined with the rooftop gives for a relaxed atmosphere. The chef, Max, is very kind and strikes up a great conversation. And food is delicious and comes out very quickly, especially for handmade food! There's really nothing more to say - this is an excellent restaurant.
My only complaint: the restaurant is a bit difficult to find.
The Italian chef loves to talk :) - a lot.
Top of the floor and there’s an open air pool side space also available.
Alcohol served and it’s not a great place for vegetarians to enjoy.
The pizza and pastas are great. Even veg but the star attractions are said to be the non veg ones which I don’t eat.
Ambience: great
Service: a lil slow but friendly staff and a nice Italian chef who enjoys a nice banter
Good for group if you enjoy vegetarian and if you don’t mind alcohol.
I, as a teetotaller, didn’t enjoy the ambience as much but my colleagues I went out with surely enjoyed.
P.s: it’s on top floor of hotel Corbelli and if you ask for don Giovanni around you might not get good help finding this place. Use google maps and it’s right next to the dominos and just go to the lift to top floor.
Located at the top of Corbelli hotel, which is at a busy party of the city. The restaurant itself did not have a name board of its own, so we had to step to hotel to check, who confirmed the restaurant. At around 7.30 pm on a saturday evening, we were the only ones in the restaurant. This along with the rusty decor got us a bit apprehensive, but we decided to give it a shot. The pizza and pasta, on their own, made it all worth it. We wanted to taste some good wine and the owner brought some of his own red wine, which was surprisingly chilled. He did explain that it was due to the hot and humid weather. The wine was a bit watery, but was quite good. The owner, an old italian man, did look a bit tipsy throughout our visit, busy with the cigarette and tv, but was quite happy to have a conversation.
Authentic Pork Ribs. .Tuscany style. .
Eventhough rustic - not very high end. .it's on a roof top good breeze even during noon.. no Aircon . .
But great food. . Don Giovani himself takes the orders and serves. . Good pizzas also avaliable. .basically an authentic Italian cuisine place. . You get chilled beer and some wine. . No credit debit cards. . Cash. .
Awesome ambience, awesome hospitality by the owner Alex, and food is finger licking good. And the best part is u get beer and cigarettes there to sit back and relax on the roof top. This is my favourite hangout place in pondy. U must try atleast once.
Mutton Lasgnia is too good. Must try this item.
Most attractive is the all in one owner and his hospitality. Overall this rooftop cafe is awesome.
