An absolutely delightful lil restaurant and a must visit for its delectable beef steak. It’s run by a couple who do the customer management and cooking. Also the food is fresh so be prepared for a wait time of approx 15 - 20 mins but the wait is worth it. Had chicken biryani which was a mild biryani which I have experienced across Pondicherry and personally liked it a lot, but the highlight was the steak which melted in our mouths !

Very good. All food is prepared fresh only after your order so be mentally prepared to wait, but worth waiting . Beef balls, Beef Fry, Seeranga Samba Biriyani , Chilly fish 🐠 all were very good. Don't miss their biriyani. Small place , which can accommodate 15-20 people. We took it away.

One of the best restaurant providing good taste and quality dishes. Burger,Sandwich and streak are all must try items here. Not too much costly, average amount only for all dishes.

The place is tucked in Mission Street. It has a quiet small, but pretty dining area. And coming to the food it was really tasty and worth the money. If you are a first timer do try their special burger combo. The waiting time for the food was around 10-15 minutes. The owners were very welcoming as well.

Extremely tasy food. Each and every bite is so delicious here.. We ordered Mushroom cream soup, special burger and Chiken steak.. Pura Paisa vasuli hua😀..It is worth your time and money.. Must visit cafe in pondy. Nice ambience and people..😍😊

Visited this cafe to celebrate my Wife's Birthday and ended up in tasting finger licking gooooood food. Below are the items we ordered. Soup: Veg Cream(80 Rs) Starters: Cheese Balls(170 Rs), Paneer Fingers(150 Rs), Prawn Pepper(250 Rs), Chilly Beef(180 Rs) Main Course: Chicken Steak(280 Rs), Beef Biriyani(160 Rs), Chicken n Veg Pulao(160/100 Rs), Boston Special Chicken Burger(160 Rs) Drinks: Cold Coffee, Lassi All the items mentioned above are top notch. Meats are so fresh, juicy and tender. I came to know from my friend that they will start preparing each n every food(except Biriyanis/Pulao) only after we place an order. Hence each order will take 20 to 25 minutes of preparation time. To avoid this, you can call the Owner cum Chef, preorder your food and get it served on time.

Items ordered for 2 persons: • Chicken Burger - The best patty, with freshly ground chicken, veggies, cheese and mayonnaise. • Chicken Fried Rice - Excellent again in taste and texture. Moist and can be had without any sides even. • Mixed Hakka Noodles - Slightly thick in size with eggs, chicken, prawn and veggies. Spicy according to our liking. Overall authentic chinese. •Pepper Prawn - Asked to be prepared dry and spicy. 1st attempt to this was slightly haywire with salt seasoning. However, the Cafe was prompt to redo the prawns and got the spice seasoning correct • Lemon Juice (Nimbu Paani) - Refreshing. I would have rated it a 5 star had it not been for a below par ambience. Some work could be put into changing the table linen. In honest opinion they held on to their USP of preparing everything fresh after an order is placed by the customer. One can be rest assured of being fully satisfied with their quality of food and service.

Boston Café is located at mission street, Puducherry. We visited this place for dinner, by that time we were really exhausted. Our priority was rice, so we were looking for a restaurant which serves Indian food. Then we came across Boston Café which has some good reviews. We ordered chicken biryani, rice with nethili curry and parotta. Believe me food was delicious, it's like home cooked. Food was great, not too spicy and not too oily. My friend was also satisfied with the food. So like that our day ended on a great note. Restaurant was very small with hardly four to five tables.

Food items are good here and the taste is also fine. Payment by cash,card,and paytm too. Maximum waiting time will be approx. 20 minutes. Service and people are good around here. The place is good for 20 members and table sitting can be provided for at most 5 as a group. Party hall also available for a small party accommodating around 30 members.

This is a very small dining place that could seat very less number of people, but the food here is unbelievably tasty. The host was such a nice gentleman. We had one chicken biryani, beef burger, beef sandwich and veg club sandwich and then juiced up with mint lime. Each and every item were freshly made and so please wait patiently until your food is prepared. The wait is really worth it. The chicken biryani was really good and the beef burgers were truly amazing. The beef sandwich was so soft and just melted in the mouth. The veg club sandwich was also good. The host was very friendly and treated us like his own family guests. Really worth the visit to this place. Looking forward to visit again.

One of those cute little cozy food joints in the city. The beef chilly is a must try. You'll also get some delicious sandwich. For vegetarians however the options are few but you can definately go for it.

A small restaurant located along Mission Street. It's hard to locate without the help of google maps. The place however serves such amazing food! The owner is a friendly personality who greets you personally and makes sure you are satisfied with the dishes served. The mint juice served as per the owners suggestion was so soothing after spending some time by the beach under the scorching sun.The beef steak and fish manchurian was delightful and filling. It's a must visit when visiting Pondy.

You can't describe the delicacy this place offers in words. I am still in awe as to how they managed to hit bullseye with every single dish over a variety of cuisine. When asked the owner answered, "We cook every dish with love". Never have I ever came across which offers a perfect balance between price, quantity and taste. Me and mt friends kept ordering one dish after another. Steak, burger, soup, biriyani, fried rice, fish finger even the mint lime juice was absolutely delicious. 5 people were given a treat of a lifetime with quantity matching that of a buffet and the cost you ask? ONLY 1400. I asked my friends to pinch me. If you are in Pondicherry and you don't visit this place then your visit is incomplete. Enough said.

This place is awesome. I tried veg options here and all are really good. I tried burger & sandwich and both are really yummy. The best item for me was 'gobi Manchurian dry' , which was spicy and the best that I had in the last 2 yrs in TN. One more nice thing is all items are freshly made as per the order, so they serve little slow. The owner is quite courteous and the place is small but maintained clean and tidy. This place quite lives upto the hype and I strongly recommend to give it a try. Last but not least, the prices and quite reasonable. Note : They accept gpay, paytm, cash and no cards.

Amazing little cafe in the heart of Pondy. All the dishes were freshly prepared. We had burger, fries and juices, all amazingly cooked. The owner is a very warm person. Must visit when in Pondy :)

One of the best place to have food in Pondicherry. Food is delicious and portions are sizeable. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting this place.

I enjoyed their beef steak and beef burger. The Beef Patty was so fresh and juicy. Their beef steak had an Indian taste compared to the Conti taste. It is run by an Anglo Indian who if doing this as a hobby.

After having heard great reviews, we made it to this place for dinner. Staff was very helpful. Beef burger and beef steak was fantastic.Definitely on my favourite list now. Thanks for the experience.

The cheese balls aren't even cheese balls. They're filled with bread and vegetables. They said there's cheese in it, but I couldn't taste it, let alone see it. I have a feeling they served us the veg balls and didn't want to admit fault. They had a very Indian taste and cheese balls aren't meant to taste like that at all. Sauce N' Toss is the go to place for them. They serve actual cheese balls (a.k.a balls filled with cheese). The owner was also very sketchy, kept looking at us whilst we ate. His female counterpart employee was also staring quite a bit. Truly creepy. Not worth it at all.

Must visit cafe if you are in Pondicherry and are craving for a burger. Everything here is made from scratch and it feels heavenly when you get to eat such freshly made burger. Also, economical.

Visiting to this place for the 3rd time. The restaurant has been renovated which adds to the lipsmacking food provided here. The owner cum chef was polite as always. I had ordered Chicken Steak, Fish Finger, Pepper chicken and stewed veggies. The chicken steak was soft and freshly prepared with the perfect combination of spices. The fish finger was the best that I had till date. It had a very thin yet tasty coating with fresh fish inside. The chicken fried rice was equally delicious and had good amount of chicken and eggs with right combination of salt and pepper. This place is worth visiting if you are coming to Pondicherry. It is very much pocket friendly and very good quality of food is served here.

Awesome place. Homely ambience, lip smacking food and a host with a personal touch. Their food is absolutely fresh. We tried fish and chips, chicken cheese sandwich, rice with prawn curry.

The place is small with ‘okay’ ambiance, but the everyother dish in the menu won’t disappoint you and the staffs are friendly. They are renowned for thier beef quality and taste. Since the steak was made of minced beef, they couldn’t serve as medium or rare. Overall worth the money and will visit again. peace and cheers.

If you are out there in Pondicherry to explore eateries, this nice small cafe is a must go. A less talked about place with a friendly decent decor, this place serves the most tastebud tingling foods. It was almost evening and was in the hunt for a good café/snack spot. Like I always believe, most of the best foods are only found in small/hidden places. This is one such place with narrow table space and limited seating.<br/><br/>Being an ardent chicken lover went after the Chicken Patty Burger for the start. I was surprised to see the layers on it with great cheese and soft chicken in the middle. The oozing cheese challenged me to eat without getting my hands dirty; but, naaaa, I accepted my defeat and hugged it with both hands.<br/>They recommended me to try out their Beef sandwich since they served the best in the town. They couldn’t have sounded any better since it was definitely the best. The ground beef didn’t make me realize that I was eating BEEF. It was spicy, juicy and with the Mint cooler, the flavours were kicking all around the mouth.<br/><br/>The service was courteous, but Parking could be tricky at times.

The answer lies not in Mathematics, but in the owner, Mr. Fernandes.<br/><br/>Mr Fernandes is an industrial consultant by profession who has built a dingy little cafe as a hobby. We walked for around 30 minutes to taste the food here based on zomato rating! But the cafe was so underwhelming to look at, we almost turned around and left. But I am glad we didn't.<br/><br/>We were approached by this hyperactive man with more salt than pepper in his hair, eager to take our orders. That was the owner Mr. Fernandes. We chose Grape Mint Juice and Chicken Burger as our starters. And we ordered a continental platter of Fried rice, French Fries, Salad, Collared Greens and Smoked Chicken as our mains.<br/><br/>The grape mint juice was totally out of this world, which warranted another glass for the both of us. The burger was not the best one to look at, but it tasted great! So much so that I ate more than 30 percent of it while just wanting to take a bite! The way he was greeting customers led me to believe most of them were regulars in his joint. He was running around, offering seats to people, going back to the kitchen, giving updates on orders, and settling bills. While being helped by only one more pair of hands who was equally competent in the whole process.<br/><br/>He went down the memory lane to talk about the time he was in my birth-place in Kolkata. A time we were not even born. Walking the Dalhousie lanes to buy industrial pipes for his job. He has come a long way from there. Now he acts as the pivot for manufacturing companies, connecting buyers to the suppliers. But he could as well have been nothing other than a restauranteur and I am sure he would have been equally, if not more, successful.<br/><br/>The service was a bit slow for our mains. On questioning, we came to know there is not a single piece of cut vegetable in the kitchen. When an order is placed, everything is created from scratch. Everything is as fresh as the literal meaning of the word FRESH. And when it finally arrived, it was delectable.<br/><br/>We really enjoyed our whole dining experience here. Was looking for legendary eateries in Pondicherry and came across Boston cafe.<br/><br/>Was here for a dinner with 4 of my friends. If you are planning to visit this restaurant as a group, I'd suggest you to make a reservation.<br/><br/>Boston Cafe has a decent ambience. This is a very small place and also feels congested. Service at Boston Cafe was a little disappointing. Though the staff was courteous, orders sometimes take forever to come. The duration of our meal was around 2.5hrs which is a lot IMO. They don't accept card payments, but accept payments via Paytm and UPI.<br/><br/>Ordered veg balls, paneer 65, cheese burger, veg club sandwich, veg noodles, french fries and mint juice.<br/><br/>Veg balls, club sandwich and Burger tasted good. Rest of the dishes were disappointing. Paneer 65, fries and noodles were too greasy. Best place for having beef steak in pondicherry. Prices are cheap comparing to other local restaurant. Thier menu items are long.. should try all thier dishes

Try their full grilled chicken! You have to call a day in advance and pre order it. But that juicy, well marinated taste of heaven is sooo worth it!

Beef burger was quite average and veg noodles lacked taste. Burger could be served with fries. The place needs to work on its hygiene and ambience.

This place is just awesome for the food they serve.. they will keep you waiting for a few minutes and increase your appetite but it is worth the wait... must try Chicken Pulao and Chicken Roast..

On our last day in Pondicherry, my friend and I were leafing through the internet to find some authentic soul food, when we stumbled upon this gem of a place. Boston Café is located on one of the busiest streets in Pondy, right opposite to Taka’s Pizza. Therefore, finding a parking spot could be a bit of a hassle.<br/><br/>We ordered steamed rice, tawa chapattis, chicken roast and prawn curry, the owner’s recommendation. It took about 15 minutes for the food to arrive at our table. The chicken roast was so good that we ordered another portion of it after devouring the first one in about five minutes. The prawn curry was spicy and tangy, a typical preparation in the coastal town of Pondy. We felt at home for the food was simple and yet soul satisfying. When we asked if they had any distinct beverage options, the owner recommended the mint cooler. It was truly refreshing for our bloated bellies.<br/><br/>Indeed, one can run a restaurant successfully by just serving good food. Boston café is one such example. Thank you for the lovely food and hospitality, I’ll be back for more.

We went there quite hungry late in morning and tried the cheese Burgers which has been delicious and sandwiches, fries and tea has been good too and people were co-operative and welcoming, surely will recommend this place for Burgers in Pondi

Very nice place... It's been a long time I wanted to visit this place, recently I craved a burger and remembered people telling me about the Boston burger... And man I have to tell you... The burger is soooooo gud... Reasonable prices, very friendly staffs, a big menu... The only thing they can work on is the ambience... Otherwise a must try place for all burger lovers out there

This is the only place in Pondicherry where we enjoyed both the food and the hospitality. As you can understand from my other reviews of Pondicherry restaurants, the experience wasn't very pleasant anywhere else. Boston cafe was an exception. The food was simple, yet delicious. The owner's kid was telling us that this place was her father's passion project and he pursued it. They have decent variety on their menu for such a tiny place and all the dishes we had were super fresh and very well prepared. If we ever visit Pondicherry again, we will definitely go back to Boston cafe.

Halal: YES<br/><br/>It is an easy to miss, average looking cafe with no ambience. It is purely the food that makes it awesome.<br/><br/>Started off with the BEEF STEAK 🥩. It is nothing like the medium-rare continental steak. On the contrary, it is a greasy, garlic loaded, very well done, Indian version of steak. Absolutely yummy!<br/><br/>Next up was PRAWN CURRY WITH RICE 🍛. This was the show stealer. The curry had the perfect consistency and flavor to it with enough prawns in the mix. It all went great with the rice. Absolutely Recommended for sea food lovers.<br/><br/>The last thing on our table was the BEEF BURGER. Not too much hulla bulla to it. A very simple preparation and pretty light, as I like it. What makes a burger great is the patty which was soft and juicy, as it should be.<br/><br/>We gulped all of this down with a very green and very refreshing MINT JUICE 🥤<br/><br/>Rating this place as 4 coz nothing tasted surprising or put of the world for me but was a very delicious meal.<br/><br/>Total bill: 595 which was very decent for a heavy meal with good portions.<br/>

Boston Cafe is a very small eatery in the busy part of the White Town area. I ordered a cheese burger and I was not disappointed. I was told that they themselves make the patty and not get it from another source. I found the patty to be a little dry. But the cheese and mayo more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend this place especially for people who don't mind getting food all over their hands and mouth because the burger spills over with mayo on each bite. Not that I complain. The place has earned its name by the taste of the food which is prepared with great care and passion for cooking!<br/><br/>The Biriyani here is different in taste and comes as a relief compared to the conventional taste of the Ambur or Hyderabadi Biriyani. The rice grain is just rightly cooked, separable and one could feel the taste of the spices used in it. However, the beef pieces in the beef Biriyani were rather hard and not as juicy or succulent as one expects it to be. This is something the Cafe needs to take a note of and also ensure that the pieces at the bottom of the container in which the Biriyani is cooked is not burnt due to heat.<br/><br/>We had ordered for Chicken curry which came as a complete delightful surprise due to its taste. The thick and rich gravy tasted of the rich flavour of the masala coarsely grinded and used in it which gave a different taste and texture to the gravy. The chicken was rightly boiled and almost melted in mouth but not dropping loose from the bones.<br/><br/>The chicken fried rice and the noodles score a decent 3.5 on a scale of 5. The mint and lemon flavoured drink is refreshing and is rightly blended together! Overall this place deserves a visit and one must try its menu!<br/><br/>Service needs to be improved a bit more but is not a deterrent for not visiting this place. Few suggestions:<br/><br/>1. Serve water to the guests once they are seated<br/>2. Wait time needs to be reduced once the food is ordered.<br/><br/>But everything said and done, kudos to the team at Boston Cafe who has done a great job to have kept the taste lingering in the mouth of its customers making them visit the place time and again!

<br/>We were wandering in the streets of Pondicherry mission Street when our eyes glanced at this Cafe and we quickly opened Zomato to check its rating and reviews.<br/><br/>Since the rating was 4.5, we thought of trying some dishes and ordered Veg burger, Chowmein and Masala tea.<br/><br/>Masala tea was really good and we enjoyed every Sip of it.<br/>Veg chowmein was full of oil, french beans and salt and we disliked it.<br/>The burger was full of mayonnaise/cream and it was getting very hard to eat it without spilling.<br/><br/>Overall, I would want to rate this place as 2.5 but since Zomato doesn't allow that, I will rate it as 2 star.<br/>There is nothing in the place which explains the 4.5 star rating which it currently holds on Zomato.

It's a small place with very basic interiors.<br/><br/>They serve a variety of cuisines. Again, don't expect authentic flavours from the continental dishes, but the local dishes were spot on. The chicken biryani was good and my sister really enjoyed the beef fry with parotta. Mint lemonade was very refreshing.<br/><br/>Good place to visit if you can't decide exactly what you want to eat and want a little bit of everything.

Had chicken spicy sandwich , Mixed Noodle and cheesy fries.... all were well. Sandwich & cheesy fries are extraordinarily fine. Will visit once in a week at least. Place is small , but taste is Biggggg. Keep continuing the same quality.....

Extremely homely food, decently priced. The staff here was very friendly and helpful - my friend's phone had run out of charge and they were willing to charge it for us while we went for a walk. Won't forget their kindness.

A visit to Pondicherry without having a meal at Boston Cafe should actually be considered a sin. A family-style eatery run by a very pleasing personality, Mr. Fernandez, Boston Cafe aims to serve home style meals to the locals and tourists alike. Though the place is quite compact with a seating space for at max 16-20 people, its the food served here which makes it so special. From some delightful Indian Curries and Parottas to the Continental style Burgers and Steaks, the place makes sure it doesn't leave you out of options.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, I was here on multiple occasions during my stay in the city to gorge on maximum number of those wonderful dishes. From the Indian side, I tried their Chili Garlic Beef, Pepper Beef and Beef Roast with some fluffy Malabar Parottas. While the Chili Garlic Beef and Pepper Beef had a slurpy gravy, Beef Roast was one that was completely dry yet the most juicy and flavourful. All the preparations had beatifully cooked meat with a distinct flavour. The must try here would definitely be the Beef Roast.<br/><br/>And while you are down South, how can you miss on the regional favourite biryani. The place served me an incredible plate of Ambur Mutton Biryani, loaded with whole spices providing a hot, smoky flavour. Finish the whole plate and trust me you would be craving for more!<br/><br/>From the continental side I tried their Chicken Burger and the house recommended Garlic Beef Steak. Chicken Burger was unlike any other burger I had anywhere in a long time. Though it was a simple arrangement of lettuce, tomato, chicken and cheese - it was the cook on that chicken which mattered the most. The chicken patty was juicy like anything which just melted in the mouth. The Garlic Beef Steak was just as same juicy and succulent which a prominent flavour of roasted garlic. The steak came with a side serving of crispy potato fries and fresh salad. <br/><br/>The service was on par with the excellent food. As the place is a family run business, there weren't any service staff as such and the owner himself took care of the guest which made us even more welcome. Best part were the dish suggestions he gave which completely fell in line to what we wanted to have. All in all, one of the best and must-try place when in Pondicherry!

Being a huge fan of Biryani, it was very tough to find a decent Biryani in Pondicherry. Though there are couple of other places which offer good Biryani, this place easily serves THE BEST BIRYANI IN TOWN. Affordable price is the cherry on the top. Must try. Small place. Okay Ambience.

I have no idea how this place has such high rating. This place when I visited had nothing great about it. The interiors are very basic and average. The budger was a disappointment. We ordered ice cream and we could easily make out the the utensils used to serve that ice cream were so unclean that the ice cream tasted horrible and we couldn't even finish half of it.

This place is a paràdies for foodies. Went today after reading good reviews and this place turned out much better than we expected. From outside it was small restaurant (inside someone's house) so my review is completely for food. Tried their steak, chicken burger and mint juice (must try) and it was so delicious. Probably the best food you can have at this price. Food is exceptional in terms of quantity, quality and taste. Must visit if you are in town. I am definitely gonna come back again before leaving Pondicherry.

When it comes to food, I would have definitely rated it 5 as whatever we were served had the perfect taste. One thing they could improve on is the ambience as it doesn't feel like a place worth going to from outside. Serving both, good veg and non-veg food which is almost impossible to find in white town. I would recommend to try out this place once for sure during your trip.

It is a small place. Food is great but took really long to serve. We had to wait around 45 minutes for our food. We ordered mint juice and lemon soda. Mint juice was awesome, lemon soda was too sour.<br/>For starters we ordered beef roast, fish fry and garlic prawns. All was great except for the fish fry could have been prepared with better masala.<br/>For main course, we got prawn curry and rice combo. It was very spicy and tasty.<br/>Finally everything cost around 700.

The owner is very courteous and grateful.<br/><br/>Coming to AMBIENCE, this is not a place where one would prefer to go by looking at first sight. It is a small place inside a house with 4-5 tables. But once you are in with the food on your table, you would not regret coming here.<br/><br/>FOOD QUALITY - This is a great place where you can have good variety and quality food without hurting your pockets. Chicken Biryani was super delicious. Sandwiches were good too. Chocolate shake could have been little better. Guess what, I had all these in less than 300 bucks.<br/><br/>SERVICE - Since its a small restaurant with very less crowd, it wont take much time to get the food ready to eat. The owner is very friendly and will always offer you smile whenever he is around.<br/><br/>I won't have found out this place if ZOMATO was not there. Highly recommendable. In my two- day stay in Pondicherry, this is one of the very few places where I ate to my heart's content. We paid a visit there for dinner, starving, and preparing ourselves for a sumptuous meal. Just a small place with 4-5 tables around, nothing needs to be said on the ambiance front. We ordered Rice with fish curry, Chicken Biryani (which was the best of the lot) and Parottas with curry. The service was brisk. Taste wise, every item was impeccable! At no point did we feel the need to stop ordering for more items and leave. Those three items just cost us a mere 300+ bucks. Amidst a plethora of places serving Pizzas and Croissants and countless bakeries, a proper south Indian restaurant like this where you could satiate yourself with Rice items and Biryani comes as a breather. Highly recommended!

Went here for a late lunch. The small eatery is conveniently located. The food is lip smackingly delicious. Lightly spiced yet full of flavour. We had South Indian Style Beef Roast and Chicken Curry with Rice. The beef was tender and crispy on the outside. The chicken curry was full of flavour, not too hot, not too sour either. It's pocket friendly as well.

We had been here when we were dieing of hunger, it took a while for the food to turn up..but when it did we were amazed at the taste of the food.. the best part is the freshness of the ingredients though the owner was saying about it we could actually feel the freshness . This place has amazing customer service with amazing food. My friends and I were about to party but we didn't have glasses to pour our drinks , so we're searching for food on Zomato and we found this place and we saw the food was affordable. When I placed my order I asked him if he could get us glasses and disposable plates and on top of that we have made a request for ice and this guy brought brought the glasses and plates and went through the effort to get us ice packed in a small aluminium cover ! The person was very friendly and he really wanted us to have a good night . And the food is the best to pair with alcohol. Try the chicken 65 and chilli beef.And for the malayalis who like porrotta , they make amazing porrottas ! It was amazing. He saved our night! Unfortunately I couldn't get his name . The phrase "Never judge a book by its cover", to me, found proof in Boston Cafe. Albeit a little small and less fancy looking, the food here left me speechless, and craving for more. I loved the hospitality with which we were met. We were recommended the best seafood dishes, and served with delicacies I did not expect. A place I comfortably recommend to seafood enthusiasts. Will definitely eat here the next time I visit Puducherry.

Mr.Lovell, the owner of this place is the best host ...we were in Pondicherry for 4 days and ordered good from here 4 times. Chinese preparations are good, fish in white sauce is awesome, tawa silver fish was too good and oh so hot. Last day he got us grilled chicken and cheese sandwiches in like flat 20 minutes .. delivered to our hotel.

One of the most satisfying eateries in Pondicherry!! The food tastes amazing & the individual components were farm fresh, the staff courteous and the price is really reasonable, which is a really good combination that they've managed to keep on till this very day. It may pass off as a basic fast food place because of the set up but the food just makes all of that trivial. My friend and I ordered a beef burger, beef sandwich and non veg clear soup. I must say this is the best food I have had at a multi cuisine restaurant. We had Veg Balls , Veg Noodle Soup, Chicken Roast , Fish Fingers, Fried Fish as starters and to say all of them tasted great would not be an exaggeration. Then we had Crab Burger , Veg Burger , Prawn curry rice and Prawns fried rice. All of the main course was good with the Prawn Curry rice being the standout dish. The mint juice served here is a good refresher and helps you cope with otherwise medium spicy food.<br/><br/>The owner also was very receptive and his suggestions were indeed the standout dishes. It is a very good and small place to have lunch or dinner. We had ordered peas curry,pan fried fish and spicy chicken sandwich. Peas curry and fish were delicious. Spicy chicken sandwich was normal. Their mint juice is also a must try since it's their speciality.

Amazing food!<br/>I believe 5 star reviews are for restaurant's that make an effort at preparing the best food with what's available.<br/>This cafe run by a small group serves amazing food.<br/>The ambience and the overall place is just average and nothing close to a French cafe you usually find in Pondicherry.<br/>The beef steak (₹240/-) and noodle soup (₹70/-) were the best.<br/>The remaining food we had were also up to the mark.

So one afternoon as me and friend were about to go home, it started raining heavily with thunderstorms. And we had to crash at a place which happened to be Boston cafe. I love tea especially when it rains, so we both ordered a cup of masala chai as we were fully drenched. And trust me I didn't get that good chai anywhere in Pondy... Either it would be too milky or sometimes it was a crime to call it a tea.. I really enjoyed the tea which the young chef made and served us with her warm smile. We sat there for a long time and we starving now, so we had fish curry and rice and my friend ordered prawn curry. Surprisingly, the curry was perfectly cooked and apt for the weather served with hot steamed rice. I can tell the fish was fresh, the owner Jerry is a friendly guy. The place is small with limited seating barely for 14 people.

Just refreshing.<br/>Coming to main course we ordered paneer masala with few butter chapatis. <br/>Trust me the masala was there hahah, it was spicy and creamy. You definitely need the mint coolie to sip with the spicy paneer masala. The food was amazingly delicious. <br/><br/>Coming to pricing, it does not put a dent to your pocket. The quantity served is good, the food served is delicious and at a very reasonable rate. <br/>If you are in pondicherry, give this place a visit for sure.

Although the food is great, it felt slightly overrated because of the overall experience mainly because it's a tiny joint with poor temperature control and small tables.<br/>However, not taking anything away from the quality of food, their steak is well flavored and their juices are refreshing.
