Best cafés the ambience was superb...cozy place with exotic experience ... Dishes were awesome... Kind warm and welcoming .. the ppl over there were very humble patient to respond to our needs and orders... Very understanding ... Velo Cafe is essentially a cycling themed cafe which is evident from the decor. What would have been better was to extend the theme onto the menu which isn’t the case. We went in for a quick coffee and dry dessert. Sadly brownie with ice cream was the only desert which was disappointing. The coffee was good and we sat there for a while reading up on our books. The menu overall has plenty of food options but we had gone in at odd hours so did not order any food.
Had Tenderloin beef steak and Russian salad. Food taste was very good. Mashed potato was delicious. Steak was well cooked. But the quantity was less ..both the steak and salad which is my only gripe...and mosquitoes in the evening.
For everyone who doesn't know Vélo in French means Bike (cycle). This beautiful cafe will definitely be one of the favorite cafes for cyclists.
The ambiance of the cafe is just right for morning breakfast or evening snacks! Every part of a bicycle is been used beautifully to design the interiors of this cafe.
For the ones who are interested in the bike can go through the SCOTT, Trek and Giant’s catalogs of the year that is available in the store.
PS: I love the fake puppy that you have kept to trick, we really had a long conversation regarding if it's fake or real throughout our breakfast.

Quality of the food is good. Just order anything and enjoy eating this place has everything on point.

One of the rare occasions where I suggested this place to my friends bcz of the colorful ambience but their food was equally good and we were surprised.
We tried veg clear soup (3/5), chicken tandoori (4.5/5), paneer tikka (4.5/5), Squid pepper fry (4.5/5), schezwan chicken noodles (4.5/5), mushroom gravy (4/5), butter roti (4/5), garlic Naan (4/5), Chicken Rara (2/5) and a few shakes and icecreams.
Their chicken tandoori was perfectly cooked and had enough spice and flavours. Squid pepper fry was top notch, prepared with a simple masala and sauted in local style (however, a little costly). Scezhwan chicken noodles was also tasty, made with right amount of spice and sauces.
They served tandooris with a cup of complimentary mayonnaise which we liked. However, they charged for additional order of mayonnaise (15₹). They may consider to serve more complimentary mayonnaise.
Chicken Rara was a let down as it was nowhere close the original recipe.
The service was very gentle and courteous. They spoke kindly, listened to our order with patience and gave necessary clarifications whenever we enquired about any dish from the Menu. Their service team deserves a special appreciation! 👏🏾

First thing came to my mind about velo cafe is their ambience, loved it. Nearly spend 1 1/2 hrs in that beautiful place. It was maintained very neat.
Pesto chicken pizza will be my favourite now onwards, one of its kind i would recommend this to anyone who need to pick pizza from their menu and for shake would recommend brownie crumble milkshakes it was really good.
Finally for food - 4.8/5.
Ambience - 5/5.

We had a really good experience, food was tasty, staff were good and price is reasonable. The place is a little bit small so it's better to reserve before coming. It's a vélo themed restaurant and if you eat there you can ride their bicycle for 1hr for free. I warmly recommend this place. I wasn't disappointed ^^.
The chicken strips and the pancakes are to die for! Chicken wings are amazing too. The cafe is small and has a really cool aesthetic aura. Must visit.
We went to Le Vélo Box, this place is built by using containers. The ambience is really good, the staffs are very friendly and the foods are really good they are delicious. The price are reasonable. It's a best place to visit with your family and friends. The only thing that bothers us was we went with the group of 10 the place is little bit conjusted not enough space to move freely. Overall this place is a must try place in Pondicherry if you want to experience the container type ambience.
I have been here so many times and it was a good to go place before.
But from last 2 times its been a disaster.
Last time when i ordered veg they gave chicken.
And today i went with my friends and everyone got food poisoning after eating here.
The tandoori chicken they gave had a kerosine smell in it.
We literally got food poisoning.
Never ever recommending this place to anyone again.

Tried this place after a while of thinking. Its really worth it, this cafe is one of the best continental cuisines in Pondicherry.
We had Chicken cream soup, pasta, pizza, french fries and mojitos here and it was a great experience.
> Taste - DELICIOUS & that's it. Authentic continental taste. They do it like a pro!!
> Cost - Justifying. Totally satisfied with the charges based on what they served and how they served. Worth it.
> Service - Timely, polite & courteous. They even mention if certain order take time or if delayed but serve it on time.
> Serving - Excellent. For French, fries you'll get ketchup and mayonnaise with mild salt sprinkled. For soup, the bread toast that was served with was perfect & each item you order will be served the way it should be. This type of serving you get to see rarely these days. 100/100 for this.
> Infrastructure - Decent however due to less space busy hours could make the experience difficult with crowd.
> Hygiene - All good except for mosquitoes here and there but not interrupting your eating. Though they had all measures like All out, etc in place these guys found their place in.
Overall a great place for frequent visits with delicious taste, Courteous staffs and justifiable cost. Enjoyed the experience.
One of the many underrated eateries in Pondy. it's got a wide range of cuisines wherein the dishes are made with exceptional care and expertise. a must visit with friends and family! I recommend their chicken platter which serves a variety of Indian kebabs and grill
Le Velo Box : Very neat food ordered Spicy mariarana pasta,Paneer Butter Masala,Butter Naan,Dragon Chicken,Fishe finger,Schcwaan Prawn noodles,Chicken Cylon Parota..Everything taste so damn good ...Fish finger & Dragon chicken is a must try..

A tryworthy spot on pondy town!
We went on a weekday night yet the place was bit filled.
The ambience was cool filled with photogenic spots, great lighting and coeling designs and especially it was a container type building! (P.s. So don't forget to ping your photographer friend)
The food was awesome and they have multiple cuisines, we tried varieties of starters, maincourses and mojitos and everything was just great.
Yet the service was bit delayed(P.s: better order everything on a single go as they deliver accordingly)

Nice ambiance, Restaurant building structure is innovative Container based restaurant. Rate is moderate, Taste is good. Must try this shop. It's near to beach . Only drawback is ,it's like conjusted.

One of the best cafes that reasonably priced ( even though it looks expensive ) it serves justice for the food that’s served. The food is freshly prepared and you can feel it. Vibe is good and concept of designing the place with cycle and it’s parts is amazing. Highly recommend. Keep up the great work team 👊🏻
Good cafe to have food here. Owner is really nice. We had brunch over here which was quite heavy in terms of all food items. We had pasta, burger, spinach-mushroom omelet, pancake etc, all items were well decorated and good in taste.
