Went for lunch on a weekday. We were the only customers. Service was pleasant and prompt. Food was served hot and fresh. Quantity was more than adequate. Recommended for families and people who care more about food than ambience and fuss.

Out of all the food places we tried in Pondy, This place was the highlight. The Taste and Cost of dishes are unreal . We had a Noodle Soup , 2 Steaks and Fried Hot Dogs. The marination on the Steak was brilliant and cooked to perfection. Friendly Staff too. Must Visit if you are in Pondi City and very pocket friendly.

Beautifully Quaint Restaurant situated on H.M Kassim Salai right Opposite Cool Cats Cafe. It's prime location attracts alot of attention from the nearby Nehru Street. The towering model of the Eiffel Tower also cannot be missed, making this small but accommodating place stand out. Ambience: Decorated in a Neutral Blue hue, the restaurant brings a sense of calm and quiet. The menu, simple and appealing. Service: The Service is Fantastic, with the waiter quick to serve you and courteous of your requests. The restaurant does not charge Service Charge, so it is in good taste to tip! Food: As I was in a hurry, I had opted for the Noodle Soup (Chicken). What must be noticed, is that even as there is a minimal number of items on the menu, they make up for the variety of Flavours from Vegetarian to Beef. This makes for an excellent array of choices. The Noodle Soup (125 inclusive of Taxes) was excellent, with plenty shredded cabbage, flavourful stock, roasted chicken pieces, green onions, ginger and garlic. The noodles were well cooked and the quantity is sufficient to serve two people satisfyingly. Overall, The Paris Restaurant is very often overlooked and is quite a hidden gem in the bustling middle of Pondicherry. Know for their Franco Vietnamese cuisine, it is a place that must not be missed.

Good Vietnamese food. I enjoyed their noodle soup with egg. The menu is pre-dominantly non-vegetarian

I honestly had the worst food experience here.
The service was extremely slow and the ambience was also not so great.
We ordered veg noodles, chicken lollipop, fried rice and gobi manchurian.
The noodles were tasteless and the manchurian was very dry.
I am chicken lover...and this was the 1st time I ended up not even eating 1 piece of it.
It was a nightmare. It had a foul smell and a horrible look.
The only food item which was okayish was fried rice.
Never gonna visit this place again.

I was so excited to try another new cusine but it ended as complete disappointment. Expect for thier soup nothing is recommendable. All the food i have ordered from the chio to the beef and chicken steak is recommended by them self still it wasn’t near to okay. It was sooo soo so oily. And the sauce wasn’t appetising either. Fries were so soggy. Onions were only thing fresh in the plate i suppose. service can be better. Peace & love.

I went in the evening and no more people.... hardly 2 members....I have ordered their signature dish called
1. Chaiyo....spring roll.....omggg! This was tooooo oily.....taste wise it was good.....
2. Prawn kawab....which s nothing but bajji.....this was ok....
Very affordable and need to improve a lot

This place is sooo good for Vietnamese Food. We had the Chaiyo and Chicken saute for starters. And Chicken noodles for the main course.

Chaiyo was very crispy and good and served as a good starter. They served it with the authentic fish sauce. Next, the Chicken saute was smooth and soft. Noodles was also amazing.

E.Gobi was our waiter and he was so patient and did a good job. The ambinece was okayish. Nothing extraordinary about that. But worth the money. Hence 5 star.

Food was tasty but not Chinese or Vietnamese as they label themselves to be. The chilly beef in particular had a very South Indian flavour. And rice was less than in the order.
Delivery from swiggy less than 1km away spilled the food. So careful about ordering for delivery

We a group of 10 at 3pm were struggling to find send good food in Pondicherry, some body suggested this place, and having any options left, we agreed to dine here. From noodles to rice, from Chinese gravies to starters we ordered everything and were surprised to have a happy meal with pleasant service. The ambience is also quite good .

The menu here is absolutely amazing. Though, I can assure you that you may try anything in the menu with confidence, my first suggestion would be to try the beef steak (₹189). American Chopsey (₹279) comes with prawn, chicken, egg and will ensure that you have your proteins and also that your tummy is full(also contentment). I would be updating about other must-try’s of this place right here. But please do comment or message if you did try the suggestions.

This is one of the oldest restaurant in Pondicherry.. Ever since 1978!

Category: Vietnamese mixed with Chinese and Continental

The ambience is much better now and very accessible in the hot spot of the town (Ambour Salai - Next To Hot Breads).

Famous of Chayo (Vietnamese Fried Roll), Beef / Chicken Steak (Thin steak), Clear / Noodles Soups, Variety of Noodles / Rices, etc.,

Their home sauces accompanies well with all their dishes!

Must try is Chayo with Nugma Sauce - Original Name Cha Gio is nuoc cham suace

Even though the restaurent had mixed reviews, we thought of giving it a try. The mood was peaceful with a light touch of classic bollywood songs. Serving was made with high hospitality and we were given better choices about the dishes to try. The menu was simple, with a handful variety of English, French and Vietnamese delights.
Value for money, great taste and wholesome to quench the hunger....!!!
Do try out the hibiscus juice....I had a refreshing experience !!!
Cards are accepted.

Don't even think of eating here
1) The food was horrible in taste and super bland.
2) We ordered a noodle soup and a veg noodles plate. The number of hairs we counted in both the dishes were 5. How does that feel ?
3) The bottom of the soup had sand !! Jeez
4) when we informed these to the waiters they seemed like it's all cool and didn't care to cancel it saying that we have eaten half of it.

Worst experience ever. They are very inhygienic. And the waiters are very unprofessional. How dare they serve food with several hairs and sand in it and don't refund ??

I have been twice and is nice pleasant place no so crowded chayo is delicious the place is near beach and ashram and near market so easy to have lunch.

This is a very popular restaurant open until late night which has lost its charm and taste. The food was bottom line terrible. We ordered three items, but having a bite out of the first item we cancelled the third order.
We order a chozo/chuzo which was basically a french style spring roll. It was so oily that it was disgusting and tasteless. The dip was just a tomato ketchup and in the name of salad they gave Mint leaves on the sides...we ate one leaf each as after food mouth refreshment :D.
We cancelled soup (which everyone seems to be having) and asked for the Seafood Oriental Noodles to be parceled.
The noodles were ok (white and nothing oriental about it).
The food isnt cheap (but then this is Pondy) and there isnt anything much vietnamese about the restaurant as claimed.
Ambience: It is noisy with no value for customers, not well maintained and waiters are incommunicado.
I am sure the Auro Pizza or even the parotta stall opposite to it could have been a far better choice.

U would probably be wondering where is this place!! It's not a very famous one. I don't know why but the food is good!
Food recommendation: beef steak , chicken steak , soups, chicken roll.
Whatever u order u will get it only after 30 mins. Nd it is not at all crowded. So basically best place for couples.
Friendly waiters. Music is on all the time. Reasonable price.
Its okay to visit for the second time.
Good northern food served here as reasonable prices. 500 bucks is sufficient for 2 persons if you're a vegetarian. Ambience is also good plus they remain open till 11 PM

Was super hungry and the only place which local folks guided me to was this joint, boy..was I in for a horrible surprise, not only was the food so bland and super horrible to taste, seems like the management seems pretty cool about the same. When we brought this up to the managers attention they hardly flinched, a simple dosa took ages to arrive, was surprised to see lot of french folks sitting in,i guess they know that this was the best place for their palate , well walked out with more hunger and highly disappointed with this place.

Don't ever try out any restaurant just looking at the outer appearance n the name. I generally don't but don't know what happened that day. After finding out this place I took all my cousins on a lunch one day during our Pondi trip n that was my worst experience ever in my life. The waiters don't know what is available in their restaurant. I should have left when one of the customer was not happy with the food but still we continued there for our lunch. It was a nightmare. Never heard or seen a dish in my life a fish curry without a fish n when asked about it I was told that the fish is mashed. Because we were getting late n just had to fill our stomach we had something n believe me that something was also the worst. Pathetic food with even worse service. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. N some piece of advise to the restaurant owner, kindly do something so that the tourists actually come n dine at you restaurant.
